inevitable (BLACKPINK Jennie)
word count: 7.5K
(something light, in a sense it’s the prequel to best behavior, but my apologies for not getting this out when it was supposed to be, enjoy!)
-- --
The question is out of your mouth before you could stop yourself. It’s become a habit more than anything, but you promised it would be something you break in the new year.
You just didn’t expect the answer to change.
“Okay, Tuesday works.”
Your jaw almost drops, but your lips stay in a straight line, slowly curling up. If you’re being honest, you want to scream at the top of your lungs because finally.
“Sweet,” You answer nonchalantly. “I’ll text you, yeah?”
“Sure,” The woman stands from the barstool, a soft smile on her face. One you’re not familiar with, especially directed at you. It’s sincere, and personal that it almost feels like you’re seeing a side that’s been waiting to be shown. There’s something in your chest that blooms. “See you then.”
A small wave from her friend has you returning it back, watching them walk away. You hear giggles, and you know she could never keep her excitement to herself.
It sets in quickly as the door shuts behind the pair, internally fist pumping. All the time and effort finally paid off.
Kim Jennie said yes.
-- --
You laughed at Lisa’s joke, sipping your beer as you leaned against the counter. She was telling a story about how one of her dancers walked in on her changing, ogling a second too long that she ran out of the room. Only things like this would happen to her.
Someone asked a question when she walked in.
You almost dropped your drink because there was no one that had ever caught your attention like she did.
She practically lit up the room, and for some reason, you felt a little lighter. You didn’t believe in love at first sight, but this felt pretty damn close.
You played your cool, not wanting to seem too forward, too eager, to talk to her. That didn’t mean your eyes glanced away, they kept searching for her in the room as Jisoo pulled her into whoever they walked by. There were handshakes and hugs, and you wondered where you’d fall.
Your heartbeat lightly thudded on your chest when they were a few feet away. You’d soon get to meet her, and you hoped you wouldn’t make a fool of yourself.
“Jendeukie,” Jisoo fondly called her as they stood in front of you. She introduced your name. You froze when your eyes met her—love at first sight never seemed so close, because you’d have to bet she felt it too.
Whatever it was.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Jennie extended her hand out, a shy smile in her face
“Right back at you,” Throwing her a wink as her hand gripped around your palm. You noticed how soft her hand was, small too, but there was something about it that just fit right.
“Oppa! Don’t you dare,” Jisoo slapped your arm enough for your hand to drop Jennie’s. “I refuse to let the mandu be part of your list. Absolutely not.” She shook her head, disapproving already when you hadn’t said more than four words to her.
Jisoo dragged Jennie away before you could respond.
Lisa chuckled next to you, shaking her head. She knew you too well to know you were instantly attracted to the woman. It was obvious on your face. “Please don’t.”
“I’m going to marry her,” You said simply.
Lisa almost spit out her drinking. You weren’t one to mention commitment when you were dating all these women, let alone marriage.
“What?”
“I’m going to marry Jennie,” You shrugged, as if it was for certain, a small smile formed on your face when your eyes met her across the room.
A smile returned.
--
You groaned, frustrated again at Jennie’s rejection. You didn’t understand why she was being difficult. You thought she was interested in you.
“Unnie said no again, huh?” Rosie asked, chuckling as the waiter took away the empty plates.
“I literally don’t get it,” You shook your head at your phone screen, re-reading Jennie’s no. “Does she not like me?”
Rosie rolled her eyes, used to your dramatics. “She probably doesn’t like you the way you do if she’s said no four times already.”
It had been a month since you met Jennie, and you saw her frequently, thanks to Lisa inviting you to come along. At first, you didn’t want to go, but she’d slip in that Jennie would be there too. It was an easy decision to join whatever they did, even though you’d end up taking an insane amount of pictures.
Jennie was shy.
Or, at the very least, shy around you.
You would describe it as ‘shy’ because she hardly interacted with you. You had to approach her first, grasping at straws to have any kind of conversation with her.
You were able to get her number one night after clubbing, mentioning this restaurant that you thought she would like. It was the perfect segue to ask her out, but you later saw on her socials she went with one of her friends. She did, however, message you a thank you for the recommendation.
“I don’t get why you’re trying so hard,” Rosie commented as you pouted at your device. “Jennie’s never had a boyfriend, and sorry if it’s harsh, but I genuinely don’t think you’d be her first serious relationship.”
Something you knew very early on, but you were aware of the effect she had on men and women alike. You witnessed a lot of people ask her out. She entertained it, flirting right in front of you.
It wasn’t like you could say anything. You were just some guy that was around Jennie. You weren’t even sure she considered you a friend.
“You’re right,” You flip your phone over. “It’s probably not meant to be.”
You knew you wouldn’t listen to Rosie. There was something in your gut that told you to keep trying.
It felt inevitable.
--
You were almost at your breaking point. You didn’t know what would push you over the edge, but you were sure it was close.
Jennie said no again.
You offhandedly asked her to dinner after walking her to the train station. You took the opportunity to be alone with her while the others took a car to their respective homes.
You were thankful for your ‘friendship’ that had developed over the past few months. It had gotten to the point where you could hold a conversation, and she wouldn’t look at you with a blank stare. She even sometimes approached you, asking how you were and what was going on in your life.
Yet, you couldn’t figure it out.
Some days she’d always be near you, keeping you within arms reach.
Other days, she’d hardly look your way.
Rosie was also confused by Jennie’s attitude toward you. It took some time, but after a while, over a quick bite after work, she asked you if anything was going on. You couldn’t give her an answer since you were trying to make something happen, but rejection was always the outcome. Rosie didn’t know what was going on. She even went on to tell you that she asked Jennie herself how she felt about you, but she couldn’t get an answer out of her.
You were rolling with the punches at this point.
Christmas was around the corner and you wanted to do coupley things with someone, but the someone you wanted to do it with was making it difficult.
The worst part of hearing another rejection was that you had to see Jennie this evening.
Sana was hosting a holiday get-together slash birthday party before your friends leave to spend the end of the year with their families. She was adamant that you had to go because there was a surprise that you didn’t want to miss. When it came to Sana, you had to be weary. It took a bit of convincing, but you reluctantly said yes when all you wanted to do was stay home and play video games, especially with how work had been going.
Lisa mentioned earlier in the week that Jennie would also be there, which your enthusiasm to be at the same place with her waned these past few weeks. You’d be happy to see her, but at the same time, the no thank you she gave you echoed in your head.
You arrived at Sana’s, knocking on the door as you waited for someone to answer. You heard the sound of conversation on the other side, which meant the party was in full swing. A moment later, Momo opened the door, face lighting up as soon as she saw you.
“Oppa! You made it,” Momo greeted, hugging you briefly before ushering you in. You weren’t used to her being this excited to see you. She usually just gave you a nod, but as soon as you entered, you felt something was up.
“Hi Momo,” You smiled, handing her the bottle of wine Sana demanded you bring as you took your shoes off.
“Go to the kitchen,” Momo nodded encouragingly, the same smile still on her face when you walked in.
This is weird, you thought before doing exactly what she said.
You said your hello’s to a few of your friends, who had the same excitement on their face as you walked by.
You saw Jennie across the room, next to one of her friends, Hyujin, and Jisoo, laughing at something the latter was saying. She looked up as soon as you walked by. You didn’t say anything except shooting her a small smile before reaching the kitchen.
You scanned the room, noting the food and alcohol spread prepared by Sana, before your eyes fell on the back of someone familiar. You couldn’t quite place it, but you saw this person conversing with Sana and Lisa.
Sana shrieked when she realized you were there, halting most, if not all, of the conversations in her apartment.
“Oppa! Come here!” Sana waved you over, and as she did, the person in question turned around and you couldn’t help the grin forming on your face. “Look who it is,” She pointed excitedly.
Mina.
--
Being in the presence of your ex-girlfriend was a pleasant surprise.
You hadn’t seen Mina since she graduated and moved back to Japan. You spoke with her a few times, wishing birthdays mostly, but that was the extent. You kept up with her socials and whatever Sana or Momo would tell you, and from what you gathered, she had been doing great.
She was also still as beautiful as you remembered. Time had made her even more so, that you felt you were in the presence of a goddess.
You told her exactly that, which was met with an eye roll and a cheeky smile.
“Still with the compliments?” Mina shook her head, cheeks turning red as she sipped her wine.
“Never enough for you,” You leaned forward, hand resting on the back of the seat.
To your friends, the witnesses of your relationship, they wouldn’t think anything of it. It was a familiar sight to be close with Mina, regardless of how much time has passed. They knew how hard it was on you when the relationship ended, but everyone knew that it wouldn’t last. She was always meant to go back to Japan. There was an expiration date the moment you decided to be together.
Could you have followed her to Japan? Yes, but would you? Probably not.
You were in love with her, but you were glad you experienced your first heartbreak with her.
It was a lot of catching up, talking about what happened then, in between, and now. Mina was doing well for herself, developing games for one of the country's biggest companies. She lived a simple life, hanging out with her friends and occasionally traveling with her family abroad.
You were proud of who she had become. She wasn’t the same woman you fell in love with all those years ago–shy, reserved–that much was obvious. She was still shy, but there was an air of confidence around her that wasn’t there before. She glowed, smiling at your stories and laughing at your antics. You could tell she was proud of you too.
The topic of relationships came up, which Mina told you candidly that she was seeing someone. His name was Kyo, a bit of a hot-head, but he was only ever like that with his cousins. You were happy she found someone who drew her out of her shell.
In love always looked good on her, even if that meant it wasn’t with you.
“What about you?” Mina placed her wine glass on the counter, the rest of your friends in their own conversations around you. They’d join in, but ultimately left you two in your own space.
“What about me?” You sighed. “I haven’t really dated anyone since you.”
Mina tilted her head, analyzing your face. It was jarring whenever she did that. She always said there were ‘tells’ when you liked someone, even on a superficial level. Having been her friend before you started dating, she could figure out if there was a crush involved.
“There’s something you’re not telling me,” Mina’s eyes squinted, lip pouting as she took her eyes off you to look behind you. “But then will you tell me why I’ve been on the receiving end of a death glare since you sat down with me?” You almost turned around, but she rushed out, “Don’t.”
“What’re you talking about?” You raised an eyebrow, confused.
“You like someone, and they’re here, aren’t they?”
Leave it to Mina who could always see right through you.
A dejected yes fell from your lips, shoulders dropping as you quietly explained the situation with Jennie. There wasn’t much to say except you had been asking her out for quite some time, but it hadn’t gotten anywhere.
“I don’t know her, but if I had to wager, she probably likes you too.”
There was no way.
Jennie hadn’t come up to you since you arrived. You hadn’t even thought of her until now, too swept up with Mina’s presence .
“Doubtful.”
Mina made a humming sound before changing the subject, not commenting on it anymore. You didn’t have it in you to ask.
--
You waited for the elevator when you heard a set of footsteps approaching you. Your pulse quickened when you saw Jennie and Hyujin walking towards you. You decided to leave the party as soon as Jeongyeon suggested the start of playing games, mainly because you didn’t want to referee disagreements between Jihyo and Nayeon. It somehow always fell on you.
“Hi,” You bowed your head slightly the closer the pair got to you.
Hyujin smiled, giving you a soft hey as she stood next to you. The other woman looked at you with a tight smile before facing the elevator.
“Oh, shit,” Hyujin said after looking through her purse, “I have Jisoo’s keys. I’ll be back. If the elevator comes, I’ll just meet you in the lobby.”
Hyujin took off right as the elevator doors opened. You internally groaned as Jennie walked in, following after her.
Once the elevator door closed, you felt the hairs on your neck stand. The air around you suddenly felt tense, and you didn’t know what to do. You watched the numbers decrease, the elevator descending that it felt like forever being in such close quarters with her.
“How was your night?” Jennie’s voice came out so softly. You almost didn’t hear her.
“Oh, uh, well it was great.”
“Good. I’m glad,” You braced yourself, sensing her next question. “You spent a lot of time talking with Mina-ssi. How do you two know each other?”
“She’s my ex-girlfriend,” You raised your arm to scratch the back of your head. You had no reason to feel embarrassed, but you felt the need to explain yourself. “We dated in school, but broke up because she moved back to Japan. We’re still cordial.”
Jennie turned her head slightly, giving you an inscrutable expression. You still couldn’t figure her out, but if you had to describe it, she looked annoyed.
“Ex-girlfriend?” You didn’t miss the way she emphasized the first part. “It seemed a little cozy between you two.”
You were getting baited, and you fell for it.
“Mina has a boyfriend,” You deadpanned, crossing your arms.
“Sure she does,” Jennie rolled her eyes. “She didn’t act like she had one.”
Whatever she implied, you wouldn’t have any of it. You had always been protective of Mina, and her comment pissed you off.
“You don’t know her, so watch what you’re saying,” You said lowly, eyes glaring as she turned her body to face you.
“If I had a boyfriend, I don’t think he’d like me cozying up with someone that wasn’t him.”
“Why do you care?” You turned, nearly towering over her as she looked up, “Why do you care what Mina does? Wait, I think the better question is, why do you care what I do?”
Jennie scoffed, shaking her head, “I don’t know how that relates to anything-”
“I know you were staring at us when we spoke. Mina felt it across the room,” You cut her off. You took a small step forward, invading her space when you heard her breath hitch. “Jealous?” You grinned as her eyes widened.
The elevator ringing broke whatever trance you two were in. You stepped back, giving Jennie space as you watched her shake her head.
“Goodnight Jennie. I’ll see you around,” You say quietly, nodding as you walk away.
You didn’t know what the hell that was, but you didn’t look back. Your thoughts were in a mess because you saw a glimpse of how Jennie felt.
You couldn’t get your hopes up again.
-- --
“Just checking in,” The waitress serving your table is here again, for the fourth time. “Your date will be arriving soon, yes?”
“Yes,” You lie because you haven’t heard from Jennie since this morning to confirm the time and location. “She’s stuck in some bad traffic.”
The waitress nods politely, walking away before she stands among her colleagues. They whisper something, shooting you pitiful looks and it adds to the sting of how the night’s unfolding.
Jennie’s late.
Today is also her birthday, which you were completely unaware of.
The only reason you know is because later in the morning, while checking your socials, Lisa posted a picture of a birthday greeting to Jennie. You immediately called Rosie to make sure, uncaring that you woke her up in the middle of the night since she was in Australia. She hung up as soon as she said yes.
You didn’t think Jennie would want to spend part of her birthday with you, of all people. You also didn’t think she wouldn’t share this piece of information with you. Your mistake for not knowing it was her birthday because she only ever said it was at the beginning of the year. Sure, you could have asked for an exact date, but still.
This wasn’t how you expected things to go.
Things were weird between you and Jennie after Sana’s party. You didn’t bother meeting with them when Lisa invited you. You had to clear your head because all these mixed signals from Jennie were throwing you off. If you were in the same vicinity, especially with the not-tense exchange in the elevator, you were sure you’d say something you’d regret. You were still surprised she didn’t slap you for what you said. It was warranted.
You saw her right before the year ended, and things were the same–in a way.
You still spoke to each other the same, but there was something between you that you couldn’t ignore. She felt it too. There was some truth to what you said, even if it was very little, because she acted very much like a jealous girlfriend. You contemplated talking to Lisa about it, someone who gave reasonable advice, but opted not to because Lisa had been trying to get you two together, that it would make her try harder.
Jennie was more guarded than when you first met her. She was still polite and open to talking to you, but you got the impression there was more she wanted to say. She never did, leaving you to wonder.
Then, you happened to be meeting Jinseok and Habin for drinks after work when you saw Jennie sitting alone at the bar. You didn’t want to say hello, but something compelled you to. When you approached, Jennie’s face lit up in surprise, but a small smile formed. You made small talk, asking about her day and what she was doing there, which she said she was waiting for Hyujin in the ladies’ room before they went off to dinner.
You couldn’t help yourself from asking will you go on a date with me, but the words fell from your mouth. You froze, realizing that you didn’t intend to ask her out again, but it happened and she actually agreed.
Jennie chose today as the day, but she’s not even here. You were losing hope that she was even going to show since she’s thirty minutes late. The sympathetic looks you’re receiving from the staff has you feeling low.
You fold the napkin on your lap, placing it on the table. You couldn’t wait anymore, chalking this date as a fluke. She probably didn’t mean to say yes.
When you turn to wave your waitress over, you’re met with the sight of Jennie rushing towards you. She pants, out of breath, once she reaches the table, shaking her head.
“I’m so sorry,” You hear her say, watching her lean on the chair. “My phone died as I was leaving my place, and there was traffic because of the snow.”
You lower your hand, giving her an understanding nod. It didn’t matter if she was another thirty minutes late. None of that matters now because she was always going to show up.
“Happy birthday, Jen,” You say softly, standing to help her take her coat off.
She gives you the brightest smile, which has you absolutely giddy.
--
It’s getting late, but no one in the restaurant seems to mind. It’s practically empty except for a couple of the staff–your waitress included–as they begin setting up to close. You assume they wanted to see how the night would pan out.
This has been the best date you’ve ever been on, and you hope that there’s another and another.
It’s different being with Jennie like this.
You’re so used to being with her with other people around, that being alone with her made you nervous you wouldn’t have anything to talk about. Surprisingly, you had a lot to talk about. She’s much more open with you, telling you about her day and how her coworkers held her up after work to ask more details about the date she was going on. You teased her, which she took in stride because it was a big deal she had a date. She explained she didn’t talk that much about her private life, but it slipped out that she had plans with someone–a man of all people–to celebrate her birthday.
“I didn’t even know it was your birthday. I found out through Lisa’s post.”
“Well, I didn’t want you to think it was a big deal.”
It is a big deal that you’re spending part of her birthday with her, and she knows it. She’s making a statement, and you think you’re understanding it correctly.
You’re also learning Jennie’s much more expressive than she lets on. She’s generally cool and collected, smiling at the right times, when she’s around you and her friends. She’s animated when she tells you about herself, what she likes, dislikes, and how she cried watching a recent drama because it was so sweet. You’ve watched her expressions change throughout the night as she tells you things you’ve never heard about her.
“You didn’t have to pay,” Jennie looks away when the waitress picks up the bill, your card tucked in between the folds. “I’m still sorry for being late.”
“It’s fine,” You wave her off. You planned to pay anyway, regardless if it was her birthday or not. You cared the most about Jennie showing up. She scared you a bit running late, but she’s here.
“You say it is, but I feel terrible about it,” You can tell she means it. “I didn’t want you to be upset.”
“Jennie,” You say softly, reaching for her hand on the table, hoping it wouldn’t be too much. She doesn’t flinch, thankfully. “It’s okay. You’re here. I’m honored you wanted to spend part of today with me.”
“Still,” Jennie pouts, and it makes you want to kiss it away.
“Answer me this then,” You rub the back of her hand with your thumb, “Why’d you finally say yes? I’ve been asking you out for months.”
You can see the wheels turning in her head as she formulates an answer. The waitress is back with the paid bill, giving her time to think of a response as you sign. Once you shut the book, you wait expectantly.
Jennie sighs, this time reaching for your hand, absentmindedly playing with your fingers, “I couldn’t really give you an answer. I’ve seen how you interact with girls and Jisoo-unnie has been in my ear about how you’re a player and not good to women. She even went as far to call you a pig,” You couldn’t stop the eyeroll if you wanted to, which Jennie doesn’t miss. “But after seeing how you were with Mina, it’d made me think Jisoo’s wrong, and that it’d be nice to be with you like that.”
“So you were jealous,” You smirk behind your wine glass. Jennie pinches your skin, but quickly soothes the area with her finger.
“I wouldn’t call it jealousy,” Jennie shakes her head, adding, “I don’t get jealous.”
“Sure.” She’s in denial, but this is still too new for you to start joking with her like that–whatever this is.
“Anyways, I saw a side of you I’ve never seen,” Jennie’s gaze meets yours. “I just thought that could be with me.”
You take a moment to process everything she said, but it’s all jumbled with how she’s looking at you.
The only thought you have right now is that you want to kiss her.
--
“Jennie,” You groan as your back hits the doorknob, metal digging into your body as she presses herself against you.
“What?” Jennie murmurs against your lips, hands swiftly moving to unbutton your coat, shrugging the article of clothing down your shoulders before it hits the hardwood floor.
“We don’t have to do anything,” You moan out after her teeth bite gently on your bottom lip.
You didn’t think the night would end like this.
You offered her a ride home since you drove, and you didn’t exactly trust a stranger since it was late. She declined at first because she lived on the other side of the city, and she didn’t want you to go out of your way. She relented after assuring her that you wanted to, adding sweetly that it was making up for the time spent waiting for her.
You couldn’t explain it, but something shifted once you entered the car. The tension was palpable that you couldn’t do anything but focus on the road. At one point, Jennie took your hand and placed it on her thigh. Her fingers played with your hand, lightly brushing over your skin that had your body shivering underneath her touch.
If Jennie noticed your internal struggle, she didn’t say anything. She kept on talking as if your body wasn’t having a visceral reaction.
As soon as you parked in the driveway, shutting the car off, Jennie turned to you, fingers interlaced, “Do you want to come inside?”
You berated yourself for making a simple question sound so dirty, but you nodded dumbly as Jennie smiled. She let go of your hand and turned away to open the car door. You hurried out of the car to get the door for her, which you were able to open it enough for her to stand up. When you shut the door, she leaned against the car, looking up at you.
Neither of you moved, but all of a sudden, her lips were on yours and your hand shot out to grip the car frame. Her arms encircled around your neck, pulling your body flush against hers. You heard the soft moan as your tongue grazed her bottom lip, automatically granting you access that ignites a fire.
You thought of your first kiss with Jennie in your head multiple times, but the reality was so much better. Her lips were soft, but demanding, as the months leading up this moment boiled over. You felt all the pent up energy in your body leave as your tongues wrestled in a frenzy.
Jennie pulled away, breaking the kiss, as her hand found its way on your chest to gently push you off. You didn’t say anything as she dragged you towards the entrance, dazed from the kiss.
You probably should have paid more attention to your surroundings, but you wrapped your arms around Jennie as she inserted the key into the lock, making sure she knew exactly how she made you feel.
Once the door opened, Jennie pounced.
“I know we don’t,” Jennie tears her lips off yours, trailing kisses on your jaw. “I want you.”
“Are you sure?” Your control’s slipping when she sucks lightly on your neck. You want her, that much was obvious. You also want her in the morning and the next.
“Yes, and before you ask again, yes,” Jennie leans back to look at you, giving you a small nod that she feels the same.
You’re about to say something when Jennie drops to her knees, hands unbuckling your belt and untucking your dress shirt. Your head falls back, hitting the door as she quickly undoes the button.
“I want,” You try to get out but Jennie palms you through your briefs, “To go out again.”
“We will,” Jennie nods, slipping her hand underneath the waistband before a soft fist encircles around your cock. “You’re bigger than I imagined,” She comments as she strokes you slowly.
It goes straight to your head as she frees you from the confines of the fabric, shrugging your pants down mid-thigh. You watch her eyes widen as she sees your cock up close.
“Jennie,” You grit out, the sight of your cock over her face has you losing your balance. You’re thankful the door’s holding you upright.
Jennie gives you an innocent look before her next move has her everything but. She pokes her tongue, flicking your tip, that has you pressing your weight against the door. Your hands ball into a fist as you watch her kiss all over your cock. She licks up and down, swirling over the tip, and you can’t help the guttural groan leaving your body as her lips wrap around the head.
That’s when you knew you were in trouble.
You’re entranced as Jennie slowly takes more of you inside her mouth. You could cum right then and there, and you almost do the moment your tip touches her throat. She coughs slightly, pulling back for air.
“I don’t think I could take you right now,” Jennie whispers, gaze locked on you while her hands don’t remain idle.
“Practice makes perfect,” You quip, ignoring the tension in your stomach as her mouth engulfs you again. Her cheeks hollow out, the suction causing your eyes to roll back. “You’re so good.”
“Am I?” Your cock’s out of her mouth, a resounding pop echoes through the house.
“Yes,” You nod, bringing a gentle hand to thread through her locks. Her expression darkens, eyes filled with lust that has you wondering how far you could go. “So good.”
Jennie raises herself, keeping her hand around your cock. You gulp when she leans against you, breath against your lips, “As much as I’d like to drain you with my mouth, which I will at some point, I need this,” She squeezes your cock, the pain never felt so good, “Inside me.”
You can’t do anything but nod. Jennie literally has you in the palm of her hands, and if she wanted you to fuck her, who are you to say no?
--
You’re doing everything you possibly can to not snap your hips forward. You’ve resorted to doing mental math because the sensation of Jennie’s pussy wrapped around your cock has your head(s) spinning.
Her walls pulse as your length sinks deeper into her. You couldn’t ignore the sounds falling from her mouth, the soft moans and breathy sighs as her body takes you in.
It isn’t without preparation because you spent a fair amount of time in between her legs. You might’ve gotten drunk on her taste, that she had to physically pull you off from overstimulation. You didn’t know how many times she came, but it was evident on your face and the bedsheet.
“You’re too big,” Jennie pants out, hands wrapped around your wrist, gripping tightly that her nails dig into your skin.
“We can stop,” It pains you to say that, but you don’t want to hurt her.
Jennie frantically shakes her head, biting her lip, “No no no. I want it, please.”
“Baby,” The nickname leaves your mouth easily, and her pussy twitches, “Just breathe.”
Her grip loosens as you watch her chest rise slowly before expelling a long breath. Your jaw clenches as you feel your cock slide in more, and you shouldn’t have glanced down.
It’s absolutely filthy the way she sucks you in. You’re over halfway in, and you genuinely didn’t know if you’d be able to last.
“Kiss me.”
You bring your lips down, distracting her and yourself. She moans into your mouth, greedily swallowing every sound and breath as she wraps her arms around your shoulders, pulling you deeper into her body.
“Fuck,” Jennie’s head snaps back, tearing her lips away as her little move brings all of you in.
You swear you feel something leave your body, whether it was your impending orgasm or your soul, you didn’t know. All you know is that having Jennie wrapped around you—tight, wet, and hot—has you burying your face in the crook of her neck.
“You feel so good,” You groan against her skin, pussy tightening at the praise. “Jennie,” You choke out.
“Tell me I’m good,” Jennie commands quietly, and there’s a shift in the air, something you’ve never experienced with any of the women you’ve been with—something darker.
“Who said you were?” You taunt, nipping softly at her ear.
“You don’t think so?” Jennie plays dirty, wrapping her legs around your waist, pulling you deeper into her that has both of you sucking in a breath.
“That definitely wasn’t good,” You grit out as you subtly shift your hips, eyes rolling back as she chuckles.
“I’m sure you could make me,” She kisses you sweetly on the cheek before saying, “You know you want to.”
Things go downhill, or uphill, depending on how you look at it.
In that very moment, her words break something inside you, unleashing the control you tried so hard to keep. You don’t give her, or yourself, any notice when you slide your length out, keeping your tip snug between her lips before thrusting back in, her body jolting at the movement.
“God, yes,” Jennie moans, her limbs hugging you tighter to her body as you start bucking into her, hands sliding underneath her small frame.
You’re not sure if you black out, but the only thing spurring you on is Jennie’s moans and breath on the side of your face as you pump in and out of her slick. You thought it would be difficult, given how long it took for her to take you, but as you move easily within her body, thrusting and rolling your hips to hit that spot inside of her. It’s like she was made for you.
“Jen,” You don’t recognize your voice after a particularly hard thrust and squeeze from her, signaling that you were close.
“That fast?” You don’t need to see her face to know she’s smirking, but it’s a façade. The way she’s pulsing around you proves she’s right there with you.
“You feel so fucking good,” And her pussy reacts, squeezing as her breath hitches, nails scratching down your back. “You like hearing that, huh? Be good for me, baby.”
It happens suddenly, knocking the wind out of you as Jennie’s body seizes, back arching, chest pushed against yours when she screams. A gush of wetness covers you as her orgasm rips through her body, triggering yours that you had no time to pull out. You capture her lips, groaning as you paint her insides white, hips stuttering as her walls throb—pulse—along your cock.
Jennie whines as her wombs fill with your essence, moaning, whispering how good it feels inside her. She rocks her hips, making sure she milks you dry before her limbs sprawl out on the bed.
You’re usually not this reckless, especially when it comes to sex. You tend to use protection, but that seemed to go out the window. Jennie was too determined, too tempting, too hot that it didn’t cross your mind—at all.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” You mutter, pulling quickly out as your lust-filled mind clears. Jennie lets out a small gasp. “Fuck I’m so sorry.”
“What? Hey, where are you going?!” Jennie’s legs try to wrap around you before you step away, but you’re quicker.
“We didn’t use protection,” You say harshly, shaking your head at your carelessness.
“Okay? And?” Jennie sits up as you start pacing back and forth in front of her. “I’m clean and on the pill. Are you?”
“Of course I am. I get tested regularly,” You roll your eyes, slightly offended by her accusation.
“Okay, so we’re fine. If I wanted to use a condom, I would’ve made you put one on, so can you just come back to bed. You’re stressing over literally nothing,” Jennie reaches for your arm, pulling you to stand in front of her. “It was great,” She places a soft kiss on your stomach, peering up at you. “Lay with me.”
Jennie’s stronger than she lets on, pulling you down to lay next to her. She rests her head on your chest, locking a leg over yours so you have nowhere to go. It calms you, being wrapped around by her. You sigh contentedly as her finger absentmindedly traces over your abdomen.
“You know,” Jennie says quietly, “I’m sorry for how I’ve been with you since the day we met.”
“You had your reservations, it’s understandable,” You place a soft kiss on her forehead. “But I swear that I’m not that much of a fuckboy as Jisoo makes me out to be.”
Jennie chuckles, shaking her head, “I see that. I do. I think I can trust you.”
“Are you saying you want to be my girlfriend? One date was all it took?” You tease, earning a light slap.
“Maybe take me out some more, and I can see us being together,” Jennie kisses underneath your jaw.
Something blooms in your chest, that same feeling you had when you first saw Jennie all those months ago. It’s scary to feel this strongly about her so quickly, but you’ll lean into the feeling because whether you want to or not, you know you’ll fall in love with her.
If you haven’t already.
“And with how you are in bed,” Jennie murmurs against your skin, “I’m not entirely keen on sharing you with anyone.”
You don’t plan on being with anyone else after her because there’s something there that only she could get to.
Instead of being all sweet and romantic, you opt to respond with a joke, “So you are the jealous type.”
“Possessive might be a better word,” Jennie whispers seductively. “I’m sure it would take very little from me to make you mine.”
“Do I want to be yours?” You quip, rubbing her skin softly.
“I’m sure I could convince you,” Jennie mumbles, kissing you sweetly one last time before she climbs on top of you. “Right?” Her eyes narrow as she subtly grinds along your cock, waking at the movement.
“Maybe,” You nod, eyes locked on her as she smirks.
“Can you go again? Or do you need a break?” Jennie bends forward, meeting your lips with hers. She dips her tongue into your mouth and you moan softly against her.
“I might need some help,” You say sheepishly as she giggles.
“I want you in my mouth anyways,” Jennie murmurs, trailing her lips down your neck as she shifts her body. “I’ll be good.”
And fuck you know she will be.
-- --
“I love you,” Jennie drunkenly mumbles against your lips, wrapping her arms around your neck as she tries to deepen the kiss.
“Baby,” You smile, trying to keep this kiss as PG as possible given you’re at a club with all of your friends.
“I do,” Jennie pulls away, pouting.
That’s the thing you’ve learned about Jennie these past few months. She doesn’t talk about her feelings a lot, but when she does, it’s one of the things you love the most about her.
And yes, you love her. You’re in love with her. You told her after three months of making it official. She didn’t say it back, nor did you expect to. She keeps her feelings to herself, only sharing them with her closest friends. As time went on, she opened up, telling you how she felt in not so many words, but enough to know she was falling for you, hard.
“I love you too, Jen,” You grin, watching her roll her eyes underneath the strobe lights.
“You’re not hearing me, I love you,” Jennie crosses her arms. “Like I’m in love with you.”
Oh.
“You’re drunk,” You shake your head because her telling you she’s in love with you, drunk, in the club, with all your friends around, wasn’t how you expected this confession.
“I am,” Jennie nods, scooting closer to you enough to swing her legs over yours. “But I know what I’m saying and I’m in love with you.”
“You’ll tell me again in the morning?” You raise an eyebrow, not wanting to get your hopes up.
Jennie nods, leaning forward to kiss you again. “I’ll show you just how much I love you till then.”
You tap her legs, moving them away, before standing up. “Let’s go.”
“Where are we going?” Jennie asks as you pull her up, interlacing your fingers together.
“Home,” You say simply, and she gives you the brightest smile before nodding.
“Make me cum tonight, yeah?” Jennie whispers seductively in your ear.
Like you won’t.
--
You’ve always been a light sleeper, and when you feel the bed dip, you wake up slowly. You watch Jennie slip on your shirt, feet padding into the bathroom.
Last night was intense in the best kind of way.
Jennie showed you exactly how much she loved you by the way she rode you until you came inside her. She wouldn’t let you rest, keeping your cock inside of her until you got hard again. She begged you to keep fucking her, the word daddy got thrown around, and that was it for you.
Right before she came, she told you she loved you again and you let her come around your cock as you fucked her from behind, thrusting inside of her before you met your release.
Jennie’s back in the room, sliding underneath the blanket before snuggling into your side. “I know you’re awake.”
“What gave me away?” You ask, clearing your throat when you realize your voice is thick with sleep.
“You always wake up whenever I leave the bed,” Jennie murmurs.
“Can’t help that I miss you as soon as you go.”
“Such a sweet talker,” Jennie giggles, “But I do have something to tell you.”
You wait, giving her the time she needs to gather her thoughts.
Jennie lets out a shaky breath before looking at you, “I love you. Like I’m in love with you, and you know that I’m not really someone who expresses my feelings, but yeah I’m in love with you. I think I was always going to since the day I met you.”
You smile, closing your eyes contentedly. “Thanks.”
“What?” Jennie slaps your chest. “Say it back!”
“I love you, Jen,” You open one eye, “You’ve known this.”
“I know,” Jennie huffs, slapping your chest again. “But still.”
“Careful, I don’t need you getting all soft on me now,” You tease and she huffs against your neck.
You might be joking, but you know how serious Jennie’s being. She’s never had a relationship, and you feel some pressure being her first. It’s not enough to have you running because you want to make this work.
She is, after all, the woman you’re going to marry.

❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ 𓍢 BAD INFLUENCE kang haerin x reader
↳ warnings yn is haerins “friend”, yn is apart of baby monster, minji and yn going at each other throats
"ugh, I hate them so much," minji groaned, her voice laced with frustration. hanni chuckled at her friend's dramatic reaction, amused by minji’s strong feelings.
"I will never understand what you have against YG artists, they're talented," hanni remarked, shaking her head in disbelief at minji’s disdain.
"and cool," danielle chimed in, coming to the defense of YG artists. "have you seen blackpink?" she added, trying to make her point.
"I don’t know, they just rub me the wrong way, like they’re so aggressive," minji explained, her expression tense as she tried to articulate her feelings.
hanni opens her mouth to argue but is cut off by a loud cackle.
the three girls exchanged puzzled glances as they observed their friend. she sat cross-legged, utterly engrossed in her phone, her laughter ringing out for the fifth time in as many minutes. each giggle seemed to pull her deeper into whatever held her attention, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the screen. the others leaned in, trying to catch a glimpse of what could be causing such amusement, they’ve never seen the girl like this before.
minji was the first to voice her concern, “why are you so giggly” haerin looked up from her phone with she opens her mouth to respond but is cut off by the youngest that enters the room.
“it’s her cool girlfriend.” hyein says teasingly as she sits beside the cat like girl who sends her a glare.
“she’s my friend.” she says as hyein laughs and minji’s face relaxes.
“you have a new friend?”danielle asks in the shock, haerin wasn’t much of a talker like the most of them so it shocked her to see that the girl got a friend and they don’t know them.
“and she’s cool?” hanni said with a scrunched face like that was the most craziest thing she’s ever heard which caused haerin to shoot her a offended look.
"hyein thinks everyone is cool," haerin interjected, glancing up briefly from her phone. "but I think she's pretty cool," she added, her voice barely above a whisper.
"she's sooo cool," hyein exaggerated to the rest of the group. "She's an idol too."
"If she's as cool as Hyein is saying, then I want to meet her," minji said, her curiosity piqued.
hanni nodded in agreement, eager to meet haerin's new friend, while herin looked up from her phone in shock.
"What?" she asked, her voice barely audible.
"Yeah, let's meet her," danielle chimed in, with enthusiasm. "Invite her over tomorrow."
haerin would rather not invite her friend to meet her members especially minji, but looking at their faces made her reluctantly nod.
“okay, I’ll call her about it later, me and her are hanging out tomorrow anyways.”
danielle's excitement bubbled over as she tidied up every corner of the dorm, ensuring everything was in its proper place. she glanced over at haerin, who seemed lost in thought, her gaze fixed on some distant point. danielle paused, a smile tugging at her lips, as she gently nudged her friend's shoulder. "aren't you feeling the excitement too?"
haerin jumped slightly at the sudden sound of her friend's voice nodding.
"of course she is," hanni chimed in, her voice carrying a hint of amusement as she joined danielle and haerin.
"especially hyein. she's been going on and on about this mystery girl, driving us all a little crazy with curiosity."
“yeah, but let’s not jump on her.” minji adds when she enters the room, haerin shrunk into her seat at the leaders words, oh she does not know what’s gonna hit her.
“what time is she coming?”
“she should be coming right about-“ haerin starts but is cut off by a knock at the door.
danielle jumps up immediately and practically runs to the door hyein coming from the corner following her as well, while minji follows shortly behind them and hanni stays beside haerin flashing the girl a smile.
the door opens to reveal a girl with darker clothes her fingers adorned with an array of silver rings that glinted in the soft light of the room. among them, a particular ring caught the eye, with the word "mon" etched onto its surface, adding an intriguing touch to her attire.
her gaze, initially downcast towards her shoes, slowly lifted to meet the expectant stares of the three girls gathered at the door. despite the partial cover of her eyes beneath a bucket hat.
minji turned to look behind her and saw a curious hanni and a nervous looking haerin, she furrows her eyebrows before looking back at the door.
“hello.” her voice was intimidating but in a flash she gives them a cute smile, “it’s so exciting to meet you guys, is haerin here?”
“ah, yes she is, haerin!” danielle calls for the cat like girl, haerin gets up from her seat immediately and pushes through her
members.
“hey.” she says quietly.
“hi.” the girl smiles, before looking at the rest of the girls.
haerin grabs her arm and pulls her inside while the rest of the girls look at them, minji was glaring more than just looking.
“yn unnie!” as hyein's exclamation filled the room, her excitement full, she made her way towards the older girl with an eager smile, her eyes filled with admiration. yn, in turn, greeted her with a warm smile of acknowledgement, a subtle nod of recognition passing between them before her attention returned to the group.
there’s silence before danielle gasps.
“baby monster!” she exclaims walk closer to yn, “you’re apart of baby monster! you’re ring makes sense now.”
yn nods while minji buds in, “it’s pretty obvious, look at her.” yn definitely picked up on the leaders tone and tilted her head while the rest of the girls looked at each other nervously, already knowing the older girls distaste for yg artists.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” yn says causing everyone to look at each other with raised brows while minji narrows her eyes at the younger girl.
haerin linked her arm with yn and pulled the girl closer to her, “let’s go sit.” she says practically dragging the girl with her as the rest of the girls follow.
they all settle down, awkward silence filling the room.
“so, what’s your position in your group?” hanni asks trying her best to fuses the tension.
“I’m a rapper,” yn starts but is cut off by minji muttering “of course.”
yn scrunched her face before continuing, “but, I also sing and dance, I’m pretty good at everything.” she says with a cocky tone looking directly at minji while haerin leans closer into yn’s side trying her best to hide her giggle.
hyein laughs at the older girls words, “she’s right she’s really good at everything.” she adds expressing her admiration while minji rolls her eyes.
“so how did you meet haerin?” danielle asks eagerly.
yn sends haerin a smug look while the girl looks off to the side embarrassed, “she just followed me out of nowhere on instagram, right after my entertainment posted my introduction.”
haerin pinched yn’s side while hanni let out a loud laugh, “you’re such a stalker.” she says causing the other girls to laugh.
minji cuts the laughs off, “do all of you guys dress like this?”
“like what?” haerin answers for yn, already not liking where this is going.
“like that.” minji says towards yn, who laughed and stuck her tongue to the side of her cheek.
“we are known our good style.” yn says, playing with her rings, “you know, first brand ambassadors and everything.” she adds shadily, “kinda the reason why everyone else is as well, you would know right?… minji unnie.”
hanni snickers and danielle smacks her arm while hyein just looks between the two older girls.
minji just stares at yn while flashes her a smile.
haerin clears her throat immediately getting yn’s attention, “we should get going.” she says , wanting to get out of there immediately.
“so fast?” danielle asks looking up at the girls who stand up from the couch.
“yup.” haerin says making her way to the door, dragging yn with her who looks behind and gives everyone a smile, “it was nice meeting you guys, I’ll make sure to bring her home on time.” she adds flashing minji a wink who practically has steam coming from her ears.
when the door closes minji is the first to break the silence as they all look at the door.
“she’s going to be a bad influence.
“more like, she’s gonna drive you nuts.” hanni adds laughing.
“I need to go lie down.”

call me at midnight
hirai momo x blackpink!reader
summary: you think four best friends are enough to get you by in life. that is, until jennie introduces you to nayeon, and until nayeon introduces you to momo.
warnings: fluff, introverted reader, rushed bc i wanted to put it out for momo's bday <3 happy bday my best girl!
—
being friends with jennie means being friends with a lot of people. namely, the three other girls in your group—whom you met thanks to jennie forcing you to be social during your trainee days.
it all paid off, of course. debuting in a group with your four closest friends was a dream come true! you were convinced you needed nothing else in life.
until jennie introduces you to her other idol friends.
if being friends with jennie meant being friends with a lot of people, then being friends with nayeon meant being friends with half the world.
she was so friendly and energetic, you couldn't possibly stay still around her! (she even tells you that you remind her of one of her members.)
okay. your four best friends and one new friend, surely that was more than enough, right?
"and this is jeongyeon, sana, jihyo, mina, dahyun, chaeyoung, and tzuyu!" nayeon says energetically as she pointed to various members in the practice room.
you nod, trying to remember all their names. (you eye everyone carefully. jeongyeon, sara, ji...jiwoo?, miyeon, dahyun, chae...won, nevermind. you'd figure them all out eventually.)
"i thought twice was nine?" you ask nayeon, who seems to have a revelation when you mention that. nayeon snaps her fingers, "ah! momo hasn't come back from the bathroom!" she groans, "i bet she stopped by the vending machines for snacks again."
just then, a dark-haired girl with blunt bangs walked into the practice room, soda and a tiny bag of chips in hand. you swear you see nayeon's eye twitch, but you were a bit too distracted by the sudden wave of nervousness you felt from being in the mystery girl's presence.
the mystery girl who you realize is momo.
the momo who you spent about an hour talking her ear off after she offered some chips. (you tend to ramble when you get nervous, you tend to get nervous when you're around pretty girls. momo is a pretty girl.)
(...and nayeon's pissed you forgot to record the dance challenge she invited you over for. at least you can go back and see momo again?)
you develop a crush on momo a lot faster than you realize. you're always talking about her, making excuses to mention something she said or likes, comparing her to anything your members do.
it was very suspicious for you to talk about someone you only met once this much. naturally, your members find out about your crush before you do.
"you like momo, huh?" lisa suddenly pipes up while you're trying to stretch. "didn't know you were into dancers. you know, me and momo kind of have the same hair—"
"hold on, what the hell are you talking about me liking momo?" you resist the urge to smack lisa for flirting with you, but you've known her for years now. it was something you just grew to tolerate somehow.
"you talk about her all the time! especially about how cool her haircut is, or her voice, or some random habit you saw from the one minute you spent with her.
"..it was one hour."
"that doesn't make any difference." lisa crosses her arms and stands up straight in front of you. "i can't believe you don't realize how smitten you are with her."
"don't word it like that." you cross your arms too, like a kid retaliating against their playground bully. the two of you have a staring contest that you eventually lose because the stupid grin that appears on her face when you start blushing distracts you.
"you should ask for her number! mina says she's really sweet." lisa teases, you just shove her face away and get to practice.
of course the other three weren't immune to teasing you either.
rosé didn't bother you as much as lisa did, but her little comments about how you were buying more peaches recently or taking more dance classes never failed to make you blush.
and somehow, even with lisa teasing you, her witty attacks were nothing compared to what jennie and jisoo had in store.
"y/n-ah, i bought those drinks you wanted." jisoo says as she returned to the dorms, handing you the plastic bag while you barely leaned up from the couch to gracefully accept it. "thank youuuuu!" you sigh happily, hugging the three bottles before sitting up to drink one.
"i also dropped by twice's dorms to give something back to nayeon. momo says hi." you nearly spit out your drink and ruin the blanket you just bought.
weeks had gone by and you'd already endured the teasing from three members. jennie was awfully silent whenever momo would be brought up, which worried you even more. not knowing if she just didn't care or if she had the most sinister plan than all of them combined made your stomach flip uncomfortably.
it turned out to be the latter.
"y/n?" jennie yawns, walking into your room one night when you couldn't sleep. "forgot to give this to you." she mumbles, handing a piece of paper with glittery pink writing on it before saying goodnight and leaving.
after jennie shuts the door, you inspect the paper and nearly scream.
call me, y/n! i don't mind listening to you talk~ ♡ 모모
(maybe it wasn't an evil plan, but it sure was evil to casually give you a heart attack at 12 AM.)
you take momo's note a little too literally and call her number. you sink deep into your blanket out of nervousness and excitement. (and the realization that you were calling her this late!)
"hello?"
it was the first time you heard her voice since the day you met the rest of twice. surprisingly, she didn't sound tired at all.
"hi, momo!" you huff out, sounding completely out of breath. "jennie gave me your number just now."
you can hear an "oh!" and what you assume to be momo getting in bed. "well, what are you waiting for? tell me about your day!"
you smile, your nerves being eased by momo's comfortable aura. you could feel it through the phone, somehow.
"well, jisoo told me you said hi."
"i did!" you both chuckle quietly. "she was asking for nayeon, but nay wasn't home yet so i talked to her for a bit and she mentioned how you were doing."
you audibly gulp at the idea of that. knowing jisoo, you're almost 100% sure she was telling momo good things. still, it didn't hurt to confirm that.
"all good things, i hope."
"oh, yeah, don't worry. she kept going on and on about how you love dogs and how clingy you are when you're comfortable with someone.."
you bite your lip, was there such thing as too good? jisoo was trying to set you up with momo! shamelessly! and momo didn't notice!
"that's good." you take deep breaths as you hear silence from the other end of the call. "she bought me some drinks that i've been asking for, too. well, more like begging, but i did it really nicely!" you could hear momo struggle not to laugh, it makes you laugh too.
"anyway, she bought me this peach juice i've been wanting to try. then mango juice, and my favorite apple cider."
momo gasps, "you like apple cider?"
"of course!"
"me too!" you can practically hear the smile in her voice. "i'll bring you some next time i see you then."
"i'll be waiting!"
momo has tear stains on her cheeks from laughing so hard and her cheeks hurt from smiling so much by the time she goes to sleep that night.
momo loves talking to you.

The ambassadors for Valentino and Alexander McQueen have been invited to attend the W KOREA November 2023 Event! How will the Maknaes of SKZ handle it?
ෆ contents: fluff, wholesome moments
ෆ word count: 763
ෆ note - hey everyone! apologies for being away since my last post but ive been busy coming up with my next move! I'll explain the details in a later post, but basically im starting a new series of small/medium one-shots going more in depth in aiko's relationships with the members. today is for jeongin and we'll make our way to channie! hope you all enjoy!
Ever since they'd gotten the news, the two maknaes of Stray Kids had been both mentally and physically preparing for this day. Both Jeongin and Aiko had been invited to the W Korea event as ambassadors for their respective brands; Aiko for Valentino, and Jeongin for Alexander McQueen. Aiko and Jeongin are very close, all due to the fact that they're so close age, so when receiving word that they'd be arriving together made them feel more at ease, especially Aiko. It had been only a month or so since she had been made a global ambassador and, unlike her older members like Hyunjin, Felix and Jeongin, Aiko wasn't that comfortable with being too much in the spotlight. That being said, when the night of the event finally rolled around, she was a little nervous.
The car that was carrying the youngest members of SKZ was only moments away from dropping the two off at the famous W Korea event. "Ai, you've been fidgeting with your dress for the entire way here, are you sure you'll be okay?", Jeongin pressed, "I'll be fine, oppa, I'm just not used to events like this." Aiko replied, "It doesn't help being in this dress.." She added quietly. The dress Ai had been placed in was a short black dress with sequins sewed in nearly every where and one thing about Aiko, is that she despises sequins. It also didn't help that it was slightly cold by the time they'd arrived, and of course her dress had been slightly higher in the front part of the skirt, exposing her legs to the cold, unwelcoming air. When it was finally their turn to step out of the vehicle and onto the carpet, Jeongin took Ai's hand gently, "Listen, if you really need to leave, all you have to do is ask alright?" He mused. Aiko gave him a gentle smile. Jeongin had always looked out for her, as if she was his sister. Taking a deep breath, they stepped out into a sea of flashing lights. With linked arms, Aiko and Jeongin made their way down the carpet and into the center, where all the other idols and celebrities had been paused to take pictures. Making their way to their seats, Aiko had spotted a few of her idol friends, such as the members of ITZY minus Lia, Soobin of TXT, and more importantly, Jennie of BLACKPINK. Aiko's inner Blink cheered and suddenly this event didn't seem so bad anymore.
It was only 7 minutes when Aiko's attention span had begun to grow thin. She started to wonder how all these people could sit there for an hour or two, just to make an appearance and look pretty. Obviously she was greatful for the opportunity Valentino had given her, but she personally wasn't a huge fan of stuffy events like this. Thankfully she had her partner in crime by her side. Jeongin noticed her little mind begin to wonder, so he'd begun to talking to Ai to keep her entertained enough, as weird as that sounds. "Wow, look at her outfit.." Jeongin pointed out, "Jeongin! Don't judge people in public like this!" Aiko tried to calm him down a bit but even she had to admit to herself that the outfit this lady was wearing was everything wrong on a fashion test. "Ai, don't lie to yourself she looks like she's wearing a curtain from my grandmother's house." Aiko had to laugh at that one. As the air grew colder, it became more prominent that Aiko's legs had been subjected to the cool air. This didn't go unnoticed, especially when Ai had been trying to pull her dress down a little more. Jeongin being the gentleman he was raised to be offered his jacket to her, even when Aiko tried refusing, he didn't take no for an answer. The younger idol was reminded how Jeongin was with her, how he cared for her. Ever since her accident in where Jeongin had found her, he'd been more protective and worrisome over her, like any big brother would be.
Luckily for Aiko, the event had picked up a bit and everyone had started to lighten up. When the event was all over and done with and they were back at their hotel room, the decided to go live on Instagram to talk and joke about the whole thing. "Out of all the dresses they could've put me in it had to be the one with sequins!" Aiko complained. Jeongin laughed along with her, happy that his younger sister was finally comfortable again.

Rosé x Reader
Crush
"No but come on, you have to agree with me on this one: Y/N smash or pass ?"
Rosé didn't answer right away, waiting for her members answers.
None of them agreed with Lisa.
"Chaeyoung are you really going to pass on Y/N ?! I don't care we're not sisters anymore ! You can't just pass THE Y/N !"
Lisa was a bit too loud for Rosé's liking who tried to shut her up with her bare hands.
"Lisa I swear to god, you need to shut up."
Chaeyoung was very well aware that your group was in the waiting room just beside them and that you could probably hear them.
So she whispered her answer.
"Obviously smash but also like ... date, marry, have kids ..?"
Lisa's eyes grew wide, but Rosé kept her hands on her mouth, restraining her from making any noise.
"Well that is one hell of a confession Rosie."
Jennie was equally shocked by the news.
The only member that didn't seem surprised was Jisoo, she kind of already knew. She caught Chaeyoung staring at you a few times during award shows.
Rosé finally let go of Lisa's face only to be flown with questions.
"Did you talk to her ? Does she know ? Can i be your maid of honour?"
"No, no and we'll see."
At this point Rosie's cheeks were bright red just thinking about marrying you.
"Anw our Rosie Posie is blushing."
Her members were teasing her but they were mainly just happy for her. It was pretty rare for Rosé to have a crush and even for it to be worthy enough that she'd talk about it with them. You must be really special.
Their manager sadly interrupted the conversation by knocking on the door.
"Time to go girls !"
As they exited the changing room, Rosé met your eyes. You had just opened the door hoping to have a subtle peek at them before they went on stage.
You exchanged a long glance before one of your members called you.
"Y/N it's not our turn yet close the door, oh hi Rosé sunbaenim."
The girl bowed in respect and you realised you didn't, so you quickly bowed down. Rosé did the same, equally to hide her blushing cheeks than to be polite.
"Rosie ! We have to go. Hi girls sorry it's our turn. See you later."
Jennie caught her arm and pulled her to the direction of the stage.
They weren't even that far that Jennie gave a knowing look to Rosé.
"Wasn't that Y/N by any chance ? Thought you never spoke to her. You better explain."
"I didn't spoke to her so I technically didn't lie."
"Yeah well you better take the occasion when she'll get on stage sweetie".
Chaeyoung didn't even had time to say anything that they were making their entry on stage, standing next to the other groups.
"Next is Y/Gg/N !"
You got on stage still a little dazzled by your meeting with The Roseanne Park.
Your group way too close for her to be at ease, of course the pinks made her stand the nearest to you when they saw you get on stage.
You could sense her tension so you decided to make some small talk to make her at ease.
"Stressed ? I mean I'm pretty sure you're going to win if it's any help."
Lisa nudged her because she actually didn't realise you were talking to her. She was surprised though, most new girl groups are too intimidated to.
It somehow made her comfortable that you weren't treating her differently.
She still gave a panicked look at her members who just made big gestures, mouthing 'go for it !'.
"Shouldn't you be routing for yourself ?"
She blurred out.
"I am, but I'm still a blink I can't just turn that off haha."
Her eyes widened.
"How much of a blink would you say you are ?"
"A pretty big blink, why ?"
She was mortified.
"That means you saw all the memes, how am I supposed to appear cool now ...?"
You let a real laugh escape your lips at her complain.
"Why would you want to impres me ? I'm the one supposed to do that in order to get your number."
Her head snapped.
"Wait what ? You want my number ?"
Her eyes were shining from adoration at this point, you almost had to cover your eyes.
"And the winners are ..."
However the winners were about to be revealed so you had to whisper your answer before having to be quiet.
"Of course I do, I mean you're kind of my bias."
You said that with a wink right before the mcs continued.
"... BlackPink !!"
You got out of stage, letting Rosé completely dumbfounded. She'll find you backstage afterwards, she's not missing that chance.
Hey, your request is here hope you enjoy it. Stay safe 😉-Ael

NCT AS TYPES OF PEOPLE
I found a thread of NCT as types of people on twitter YEARS ago and have since lost it BUT (with permission from that original twitter user) I started writing a few of them so here ya go! (Posting bc I need space in my google drive lmaoo)
Fluff!! Camp counselor!Haechan X Camp counselor!reader; ft. NCT Mark, WayV Kun, BLACKPINK Jennie, BLACKPINK Rose
CW: None! The most they do is kissing.
Hyuck: The boy you met at a summer camp who becomes your summer love
You all gathered in a circle on the grass field a little ways away from the cabins, per your boss’ request. Making sure all of your troop were situated and awaiting further instructions, you allowed your eyes to wander around the circle. Some faces were familiar to you, while others weren’t.
“Alright!” Kun, the camp leader, and your boss clapped his hands to get everyone’s attention. “Let’s start with a fun ice breaker so we can get to know everyone, does that sound fun?” All the little ones cheered at his statement, and you felt a smile grow on your face as you watched him go through the routine you’ve watched him go through many times before. You loved working with Kun, he had a knack for working with kids. He had the patience of a saint and always had such a positive attitude.
“Okay, since this is a big group, how about we let your troop leaders introduce themselves first! These are the people that will be making sure you’re all having fun during the next three weeks, so make sure to treat them well!” Kun motioned for all of you to get up, and you took that moment to see who you had worked within the previous summers.
You smiled as you locked eyes with Jennie, you two had met a couple of summers ago and you found out that despite her shy personality, she was one of the most bubbly people you met while working here. Her friend Rosie was here too, standing a little to your left, surrounded by the group of kids that she would be watching over during camp. You noticed quite a few of the little boys had taken a liking to her already.
There were two new faces, however, one of whom you had only worked with last summer and the other who you assumed was spending his first summer here. “Mark,” Kun spoke up, and you followed his gaze back to the boy who had been here last summer, “why don’t you start us off!”
He cleared his throat and nodded at Kun. “Hi, I’m Mark! And I, um, I started last summer, some of you already came up and said you recognized me so that’s pretty cool. Uh...yeah! I hope we have a blast this summer!” Mark introduced himself, it was a bit awkward but that’s what made him cuter.
“Hi! I’m Donghyuck! I joined this summer because Mark said he had so much fun with all of you last time, and I wanted to have fun with you guys too!” He smiled brightly at the kids and waved. He was kind of cute, you had to admit. After both of them, you introduced yourself, and Jennie and Rosie went after you.
“I saw the way you were looking at him,” Jennie wasted no time in coming up to bust you, giggling as you looked at her in mild shock. “Don’t worry, I don’t think anyone else noticed. Except maybe Rose, we talked about it before coming here.” Rosie waved at you with a giggle, nodding to confirm that she had indeed caught onto your little crush. Before you could reply, Kun came over to the three of you, clapping a hand on your shoulder.
“Hey, did you want me to set you two up?” He asked quietly with a laugh. You groaned, realizing that almost everyone had caught you gawking at the new kid.
As the week went on, your three friends kept pushing you and Hyuck together, trying to get you to talk. However, he seemed pretty quiet and you were way too flustered to have a proper conversation. You both exchanged a few words despite this and quickly became friendly with one another.
“Hey y/n, come sit with us!” Mark called over to you. Of course, by now Mark was in on ‘operation get y/n and Hyuck to fall in love’. You walked over to the bench they were sitting at, having a casual conversation before Mark went to go check on one of his troop kids who you all suspected was either about to cry or hit someone.
“So, you know, Mark isn’t the best person at keeping secrets,” Hyuck broke the silence, his eyes never leaving his kids. “I know you think I’m cute.”
You stuttered, not knowing how to respond. Here you all were, thinking you were being subtle but that wasn’t the case. “Don’t worry,” he glanced over at you, giggling at the look on your face. “I think you’re pretty cute too.”
“Oh,” was all you could say. This caused Hyuck to laugh even louder. He grabbed your hand, convincing Mark to keep an eye on his troop and Jennie to watch over yours.
“So, you think I’m cute?” You plucked up any courage you had, sending him a cheeky smile as you saw his cheeks turn the slightest bit pink. He whined about you teasing him, causing you to burst into laughter at how cute he was. Then, all laughing stopped.
He kissed you.
After that, you two were inseparable. He had called you quite a few nights in a row so that the two of you could talk, but it was mostly Mark complaining that it was gross to listen to his friend be so cute with someone, while Jennie and Rosie gushed over the both of you every minute of the calls. You two would sit together every chance you got, share stolen kisses and knowing glances, even your troops had figured it out.
However, to you, it felt that the summer had gone by quicker than it had started. You found out that Hyuck was roommates with Mark a few cities away from you. Every time you had voiced your concerns, Hyuck tried to convince you that the two of you could work despite the distance. "I could come and visit you, or you could come and stay with Mark and me when you have breaks! I swear, we can make this work. I swear," he never failed to send you his best puppy dog eyes, and on the last day, you caved.
"Okay, we'll try it out. Nothing serious though! Just...casual. I'll come to visit you and Mark when I can." He and Mark both high fived in pride at the accomplishment.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Hyuck gave you a short but passionate kiss as you all said your goodbyes. "I'll be seeing you soon, okay? Call you when I get home!"
You waved him off, not knowing if this summer love would be something that continued into the coming seasons. You did know, however, that this was one summer you wouldn't be forgetting any time soon.

misa in knowing bros > 201017
misa's moments in blackpink's second visit to knowing bros!
her looks
highlighted moments
1. her introduction !
"hello, I'm blackpink's lee sangmin!" misaki introduced herself, making the man get up to make a pose, the Japanese girl coping him making them laugh.
"why? why would you choose him?" heechul whined, making her giggle.
"because we are alike! I'm also cool and rich, just like him!" she exclaimed, making the hosts look surprised and 'boo' the guy for lying and making her believe he was cool.
"i don't lie! you just make me seem bad on TV!" he argued, the blackpink members laughing even more.
"ok, ok! i'm blackpink's other main vocalist and only japanese member, misa!" she poked her cheek, everyone cheering right after.
2. guess about me story !
"i went to a vending machine and something surprising happened! i got so scared that i just ran away!" misaki said, her hands holding the paper sheets with her hints and answers. "can you guess what happened?" she looked at them, an smile adorning her lips.
"the machine was so old that lots of water bottles started to come out and you got scared that it was going to overflow!" hodong exclaimed.
"no! the changes started to come out and someone saw it and you got scared that they would thing you were stealing the machine!" soogeun intervened, making everyone laugh.
"no, no! this is a good thing, isn't it?" misa laughed. "it doesn't have anything to do with money! but the backgroung is right!"
"a lady behind you got frustrated with you and just shoved her hand to get your drink." janghoon looked at her. "she went like-" he put his elbow on the table and pretended to have his hand up the vending machine. "and said like 'aish, here you go, slowpoke!' and you got scared by her outburst and ran away!" he proposed, making her along with everyone else crack up.
"no!" she laughed even more. "but it's funny, isn't it?"
"i think i know what happened!" heechul stood up. "you were trying to get a drink and a bug came out!" he said, making everyone agree with choruses of 'yeah's!
"no! but it's close enough!" she said, looking at him.
"then a snake!" sangmin said.
"no! almost!" misa replied, excited.
"a spider then!" hodong tried, seeing her shake her head as a no.
"ha! i know what is was!" janghoon slammed his hand on the table, standing up once again. "it was a frog that came out!"
"bingo!" misaki exclaimed, jumping up and down. "it was actually a bunch of little frogs that jumped out of the machine with my drink. also, when the change came out they jumped out with it too! i got so startled and disgusted that i ran to the car with my mom!" she pouted.
3. her adorable performance moment !
all the girls were in the middle dancing to their newest releases 'how you like that', 'pretty savage' and 'lovesick girls'. as misaki's part came up, the camera focused on her and she adorably winked while dancing, scrunching her face in a smile. while editing, they added cute sounds to it, making it one of the most replayed parts and one of her highlighted moments on the program.
4. making her redo the famous 'cheese kimbap' aegyo !
"please, saki, do it!" jisoo exclaimed, clapping her hands.
"yeah! do it!" heechul also encouraged, making said girl giggle and shake her head.
"it's been haunting me! i can't!" she laughed.
then, rosé started to push her to the middle, making her eyes widen as she got surprised. misaki didn't even have time to react as then she was already the center of attention.
"you have no choice now!" rosé said. "do it!"
misaki sighed and shook her head, a shy smile adorning her lips making her members coo.
"ok, ok!" she fake pouted. "I'll do it."
at her words everyone cheered, the cast members all encouraging her and jokingly saying that it will bring them more views and viewers for the next episodes, making the five girls burst out laughing from their straightforwardness.
"woah! it's really all for the money!" she exclaimed wide-eyed, breathing heavily due to all her laughing.
"nah, out writers wrote it, we just said it." sangmin shrugged, making them giggle once more.
"okay, I'll do it then!"
misaki got in position and made her best bambi eyes, mouth jutting out in a pout, head hanging slightly and shoulders standing up.
"cheese kimbap?" and then chaos broke out.
5. misaki speaking in japanese !
"wait, what did you just say?" heechul stopped the game, looking over at misaki sitting next to hodong.
"sorry! did i speak in japanese again?" she laughed.
her members nodded and started explaining that she tends to speak in her native language when she gets too excited without even realizing it. the hosts got amazed by the information and asked if it ever got her in trouble.
"yes, a lot of times, actually." misa explained. "once, during our trainee time, we were practicing and I got really happy that I memorized the entire choreography quickly. then, i exclaimed something in japanese and our dance teacher thought I was cursing them out and they got mad at me." she said.
"what happened after this?" hodong asked.
"they sent me to the management office and told them what happened, then, they asked them to repeat what i said to a translator — because they thought I would said something that wasn't the actual translation — and the translator affirmed my words. i was really glad that i got off the hook, thought they would kick me out for that!"

Hi
Could you do reading Blackpink 2024
Thank you
Rev world, 9 of cups, 2 of cups
I think they'll be focused on finding a direction to their career. I see very much work in progress, with all the struggles this implies.
The World is a card that points to wholeness, however here it's reversed and this might be a hint to them not having too many groups activities this year, but I interpret it in a more general sense as the opening of a new cycle that still needs its definition and it's still incomplete because their new phase has just started.
Despite their initial struggle, their future seems pretty satisfying, they'll feel fulfilled, successful, proud of what they'll do.
2 of cups is a card often linked to collaborations, this is why I don't feel like I should completely exclude any group activity. Maybe they won't have a proper comeback with promotions, but they might drop a song or some sort of content? Or maybe a duo collab? Fans might not feel as Blackpink-less as they think they'll be.
It might also point to collaborations in general, like they might get some featurings in their albums or they'll work with many producers/composers, or if they're doing acting projects or other activities, they'll work really well with their co-workers.
Overall it seems like it will be a good year filled with novelty and they'll be able to work with cool people.

fr and i want to keep loving these group like itzy girlies are just so sweet and humble not to mention they can always improve but jyp seems to give them minimal things to improve on. even tho i have no musical background do u ever listen to a song and think u could do better job at writing it?
and if im being really honest they are popular in other ways more so than what western artists r known for and in comparison u cant really say well lisa deserves vma or grammy for what? its not a popularity contest or a beauty pagaent show. i think what kpop wants is connections like deep connections into western scene but it still aint there. im curious to see how rose performs i think she has more interest in musical abilties than lisa, jennie does a little more than lisa too musically at least jisoo not so much again she seems smart but lacks talent and it pains me much to say this because I really do love the blackpink members / group as a whole. even if they lipsynched or looked like they couldnt be synchronised they were a cool group for a group that didnt have much competition back when they debuted.
I agree!! Rose is the artist, Jennie is the pop star, Lisa is the chameleon and Jisoo is pretty

I watched vcha's debut mv and the songs they've released so far (go getter is catchy after a second listen but that's it) and I don't understand the strategy behind their direction. I realize that I'm older than what must be their target demographic but even the younger teens that I know wouldn't tune in for this - the lyrics are often too cringey and western audiences have never been that big a fan of cutesy concepts. When people throw a lot of resources at something like this, I always figure they must know something I don't and have some reason to think that this will have broader appeal than I'm seeing, but the title track they put out is just ok. Like it doesn't hurt me to listen to it, but there's nothing interesting about it and I don't see anything that would make it trend-worthy as a way to bring attention to the song. All of the choices behind this group are so confusing and it makes me question the idea of these global groups bc I assume the intention is to appeal to the west but idk who they're listening to when strategizing how to do that
Hi!
Honestly, I've only heard their debut song, but I can't say I understand their strategy either. I thought the song was pretty cringe. I kept thinking maybe pre-teens would like it. Teenage girls like powerful women because that's who they want to be - it's why they like Blackpink and Taylor Swift. Teenagers don't find other teenagers making childish music cool. I like Sneakers, Boys Like You, Teddy Bear, The Feels, etc. so Girls of the Year could grow on me, but fun, cute, and a bit childish kpop is different from the try hard concept they did. I don't know, their aim is clearly the West so debuting with this is just not it. Those girls aren't Blackpink. I'm not sure who in the West likes that kind of music.
I don't get international groups in general. A lot of people know of kpop now and expect kpop to be made by Asian idols. Introducing international idols and making songs in English does not make a group more GP friendly, just harder to market, since they're not what people expect kpop to be, but they aren't what people like to see in pop either. Kpop stans don't seem very interested in these groups and neither does the West. To be very, very honest, adding white girls to a kpop group makes kpop lose what makes it "exotic" to locals. All groups cater to the West atp, so if a kpop group's entire concept is being kpop, but for the West, that's literally what a lot of groups already do? The idols having different nationalities likely doesn't help much reach those different countries.
I don't know... There's something extremely unappealing and weird to me about international groups, and I don't know if I'm just being a racist Koreaboo or if there's something legitimate there. Just full disclosure. I admit my prejudice.
Thanks for the ask! I agree with you!

idk much about 1st gen yg but fucking up that badly with their 2nd and 3rd gen idols is so so so beyond insane, like they had the most successful idols at the time all under one roof and then they did absolutely nothing with them and so they all left
losing both bigbang and 2ne1 is crazy and with that they also lost their 2 most popular idols at the time - cl and gd. cl’s solo album was so highly anticipated and yg completely fucked it up so she left. I do not like this man but gdragon was everywhere. he was the k-pop idol. we’ve discussed how yg have mishandled blackpink a lot on here so I don’t need to discuss it, but it seems pretty obvious they only renewed their group contract bcs they couldn’t get the rights without doing so, and with negotiations taking so long it seems like they were trying to leave. winner and ikon were so successful too but are great examples of wasted potential. ikon literally had soty and then yg ruined the momentum they had. before covid you couldn’t walk through the streets of Seoul without hearing a yg song. Koreans who didn’t listen to k-pop at all would still listen to yg idols. everyone thought they were cool. so I guess that’s why yg decided to start being lazy and let the yg reputation speak for itself which ironically ruined the yg reputation and sparked the beginning of the end of the company
they only have blackpink left and even then, they don’t really technically have blackpink anymore
yep yep yep, u said it perfectly! 🤷🏻♀️ and i honestly don’t understand why they seem unwilling to change their ways ? cause i feel like fans (blinks) basically spelled out what they should do and what they should not do, and have done so for years ??? and yet with every cb, they mishandle things SO badly. it’s especially crazy with baemon cause ud think they would have learned ? and now their future is fried and it’s all their fault

Who would you breed/anal/facefuck?
I feel like you want me to write little drabbles so here. Really raw, unedited quickies.
Breed - IZ*ONE's Kwon Eunbi
"It really isn't comfortable here. You should—ahhh, can we do it like this?"
You can feel her quiver in excitement as you hold her legs up in the air, keeping her in a mating press while her clit twitches at the cool air blowing over it. "I don't remember you having a say in the matter."
"I should! B-Besides"—Eunbi whimpers when you first push your erection inside her, suddenly feeling hot—"I wanted to do this. So it's really about you."
Pump into her a few times experimentally. She's already gushing with arousal, coating your dick with her juices. She tries to hold back her whimpery moans as you pick up the pace. "And if I say no?"
"Wait, please don't say no!" Eunbi's tongue hangs out at the side of her mouth. Her walls clench down onto your cock desperately. "I want you to breed me, breed me till I cry and it's all gushing out of me and"—her voice gets higher and she tightens around you—"I can't move anymore! Please oppa, I know you want to."
Hearing her talk so filthy like that makes you thrust deeper and faster. Her screams fill the room while you fill her hole to the hilt with cum, not letting a single drop slip out.
Anal - BLACKPINK's Kim Jisoo
Jisoo's voice is deeper than usual. But you assure her it only makes her even more attractive to you, and your dick harder.
Her tight ass has difficulty accomodating you, but you really think that that's one of the things that's making her so wet. Your fingers inside her other wet hole are stuffing her to the brim, thrusting in and out while you slowly push in and out of Jisoo's asshole.
Her airy moans bring you to the brink of insanity. You don't want to hurt her, you remind yourself, but it seems like she wants you too. She's really teasing you with the tight stockings that hug her creamy legs and the pair of black shorts that do little to the imagination.
The shorts are on the floor now.
You pound Jisoo's ass like there's no tomorrow. "Fuck!" she yells out, biting her lip. She pushes back into you, then cries out when she is penetrated again and again, driving her closer and closer to her own orgasm.
You come first. Her butthole is creamed from the inside to the brim while her ass cheeks are red from your spanking. Even as her legs begin to give out and her pussy squirts another round of girl cum, you refuse to stop for a second.
Face Fuck - Red Velvet's Joy
It's entertaining to see the process of a spoiled brat finally getting the punishment she both despises and craves for.
Joy has been getting on your nerves all day. The slutty photos she sends to your phone keep getting you into trouble, and so do the naughty audios of her touching herself. Her whining does not help either.
But now, her "Why can't you come home already?!" and "Daddy, please!"s are replaced with "Guhk, guhk, guhk."
She makes the perfect fuckdoll, actually, with those large teary eyes that never leave yours and pretty full lips. Pretty lips where you thrust your dick in mercilessly, where your length is continuously slobbered from base to tip with saliva and a skilled tongue.
She gags everytime your tip meets the back of her throat. "Ahh," she sighs, and her squeal is muffled by another round of you furiously pumping her mouth when her constant fingering of herself finally has her cumming.
She shakes, riding her own fingers for another high and sucking you off to help you reach your own.
When you do, she makes sure to put on a show. You pull out from between her lips and jerk yourself off quickly. Just one, two, three pumps and you paint her face white. She closes her eyes and sticks her tongue out in eager anticipation as your cum lands on her cheeks and the flat of her tongue.
Of course, that isn't enough for you at all. A greedy sinner, you dip your cock back into her mouth for another feel of her throat milking you of cum and tongue swirling around your sensitive spots.

Maybe We Are Soulmates
Idol: Park Chaeyoung (Blackpink)
@scandalousmaniac: Please write a Kind of Like Soulmates part 2!!! The first one was so addicting and I need a second part😫😫
Kind Of Like Soulmates can be found here!
A/n: this was a bit delayed due to things but i hope you all enjoy
☕buy me a coffee☕
"When are you going to introduce her?"
Chaeyoung deliberately tried her best to drown out Lisa's pestering, but her best friend has been ruthless for the past week.
Ever since her members found out about you, they've been asking her questions, non-stop. And as much as she felt relieved that her friends didn't scold her for being so careless, she had to shake her head at the schoolgirl-like behavior.
"I already told you her name and I'm pretty sure you already checked her instagram account, so I don't see why I still have to do that." The Aussie retorted, making the dancer groan and roll her eyes. "I only know what she looks like and that she loves road trips. That doesn't really tell me what her personality is like."
Jennie chuckled at the two and shook her head. "Come on, Lisa. If Rosie says she's a friend, I think it's safe to say that she's nice." She offers and Jisoo hummed in agreement. "She was also nice enough to keep Chaeyoung company when she was in Australia."
But their answers didn't seem to be the ones Lisa was looking for as she rolled her eyes and collapsed on the couch in an exaggerated manner, her arms in the air when she huffed. "Boo! There's no way you didn't make a move on her!" She protested and Chaeyoung had to pinch the bridge of her nose before chucking a pillow at her friend. "I was being nice after she fell off her bike."
"But then you treated her to lunch and spent the whole day like it was a date." Lisa shot back and Chaeyoung couldn't deny the heat that rose up her cheeks. "Like I said, I was being nice." She grumbles, making Jisoo laugh this time around, too. "There's nothing wrong about that, but I do have to ask." Jennie cut in, and by the looks of it, Chaeyoung wasn't going to like it.
"What do you think about her?"
There's a pause and Lisa sat right up at the silence, eyes sparkling in mischief before Chaeyoung finally spoke, albeit quietly. "I mean, she's really sweet and cool." She says while fiddling with her fingers. "Based on her pictures, she is really cute." Jisoo piped up and Lisa made a sound of agreement before high fiving the eldest.
"Okay, yeah, I met a cute girl who knows how to have fun but be chill, too. So what?" Jennie couldn't help but playfully roll her eyes. "Well, let me ask you this. Do you think you might have a crush on her?"
Jennie had more tact than Lisa with this topic, so she's sure Chaeyoung wouldn't just try to dodge the question now that the rapper managed to tangle her in. "Based on the stuff you've told us, you guys have kept in contact since you came back." Jisoo pointed out and the observation was quick to raise heat to the Australian’s cheeks again as she turned her head.
“Of course we’d stay in contact, we’re friends now.” She scoffs lightly and Lisa had to roll her eyes at her friend’s stubbornness. “Yeah? Then why don’t you reply to me as soon as I text you?” She retorts and Chaeyoung has to squint at her.
“Because I see you everyday. I can only ever see Y/n when we both have the time and it’s through a screen.”
“You make it sound awfully like a long distance relationship.” Jennie says with a teasing grin and Chaeyoung groans. “It’s a long distance friendship! So please stop making it weird.” She complained, making her three friends giggle at her frustration and obvious embarrassment.
And almost as though someone had heard her silent plea, Chaeyoung’s phone went off and her head perked up when she went to check who was calling her, only for her face to light up when she saw your name and picture flashing on the screen, earning a few raised brows and a teasing smirk from Lisa that she completely missed when she went to answer and hurried to the privacy of her bedroom.
“Hey! I hope I’m not disturbing you.” She heard as soon as your grinning face popped up and Chaeyoung felt the butterflies swarming in her stomach at the sight of it. “No, I was just talking to the girls, but it’s no biggie.” You giggle at her claim and she tries really hard to keep herself from smiling too much.
No, it’s not a crush. She’s just happy to see you.
“Anyway, what’s up? You don’t usually call.” She says in a teasing tone and you playfully roll your eyes. “You know what, I can just hang up.” You say threateningly and the idol suddenly panics despite the fact that she knows you don’t mean it. “Hey! No! I want to talk.” She whines while sitting on her bed and you can’t help but laugh at the look she has on her face.
You’re too busy laughing to even notice as she stares at you and she can’t help it when the smile does spill over her features at how happy you looked.
Once you’ve calmed down a bit, you suck in a deep breath before shaking your head. “But, right, back to the topic.” You say with a wave of your hand and Chaeyoung can see that you’re in your room, neat like when she had visited a few times. “I might be visiting.” You say with a tiny smile.
But Chaeyoung’s mind short circuits when she processes what you’ve said.
You were coming to Korea?
That meant she would see you again!
“When?” She couldn’t contain her excitement at the prospect of spending time with you. It’s been so long and she just couldn’t sit still, knowing that you would be so close by again.
You hum a little thoughtfully, the corners of your lips twitching slightly as you try to fight back your grin, but she could already see it. "Y/n!" She whined, enough for you to finally crack as you burst into laughter and nod your head. "Well…" You start in between chuckles. "Since I've finished packing yesterday and finally managed to convince my boss to let me go for a couple weeks, I'd say I'll be there by…" Chaeyoung waited with bated breath as you looked thoughtfully off screen, probably at the calendar that you had resting on your nightstand. "Maybe around midnight, your time." You end with a cheeky grin and the idol's eyes widened in surprise with how soon you were arriving.
"You mean later today?"
The confirming hum makes her heart jump to her throat, but then she quickly remembers. "Wait, where are you staying? And why is your flight so late?" She asked worriedly, making you smile in return before shaking your head.
"Relax, will you? I've already made reservations at a hotel and it was the only flight left for today so I thought why not? The earlier the flight, the sooner I get to see the place that you see and enjoy everyday." She melts at your words, but quickly composes herself despite her blushing face. "You're such a sap." She says with a crinkle of her nose and you just wink in reply. "You love me anyway."
Pausing, Chaeyoung had to blink a few times, failing to hear you when you told her that you had to hang up unless you wanted to miss your flight.
"I'll pick you up at the airport." Comes out without her even thinking, causing you to halt your hand from ending the call, finger hovering over the button, and stare at her. "I appreciate that, Chae, but it's going to be late and I'd rather not risk people mobbing you." You tell her with an understanding smile and she's starting to have a hard time convincing herself that, no, this wasn't a crush.
She just admired how much you cared about the people close to you.
"I'm sure people won't notice me if it's late. I won't even have to leave the car." She insists and you can't help giggling at her persistence. "You're impossible, Miss Park." You say with a shake of your head. "But I really have to go so I can see you later."
You didn't say no.
So her brain ended up thinking of the countless possibilities of how to sneak out to the airport to get you. She could tell the girls, but after that interrogation, it probably wouldn't be the best idea especially since she knows they're bound to do something that will surely embarrass her.
Knowing Lisa's and Jisoo's combined mischievous natures, they would definitely set her up for something that will surely make her want the ground to swallow her up.
Huffing, she wonders if it were possible to borrow a friend's car, but that may be too much of a hassle, too. So with a groan, the Australian buried her face into her hands before letting her shoulders droop.
"You don't look too happy."
"I'm stressed." Came her reply and Jennie playfully rolled her eyes before joining her on the couch. "What's it about now? Trouble in paradise?" She asked teasingly and Chaeyoung had to bite her tongue before exhaling through her nose. "You have to promise not to tell anyone."
Surprised, Jennie took another look at her younger friend before slowly nodding her head.
"Y/n is visiting."
Blinking a few times, Jennie soon let a wide grin appear on her face as she clapped her hands. "This is great news!" However, the rapper had to pause when she recalled the girl's first words. "But wait, why are you stressing out about it?" She asks and Chaeyoung had to rub her face before throwing herself back against the couch.
"Because I don't know what to do! She's coming tonight and she said I didn't have to fetch her but she also didn't say no when I told her I could come and get her either way. Now I'm trying to think about how to even get to the airport." Chaeyoung completely misses the amusement swimming in her friend's gaze when she's far too busy thinking about what to do.
And, honestly, if Jennie didn't know any better, she wouldn't even think anything about this except for a friend trying to help another friend out.
But Jennie did know better. And she was more than willing to help.
"You know, you could have just asked." Head snapping to the brunette, Chaeyoung looked confused before Jennie playfully rolled her eyes again. "Rosie, you know I have a car, right?" She asked rhetorically. "If you need it, you're free to use it."
"Unnie, I can't do that." Chaeyoung quickly interjected and Jennie raised a brow. "It's not like you're planning to crash the car or go out clubbing, without me anyway." She says playfully before patting her arm. "Don't worry, just be sure to take care. It's really not an issue."
"But I-"
"You wanna see her tonight or not?"
That quickly made the protest die in her mouth as she meekly nodded her head, pouting at the grin Jennie gave her. "Then stop arguing. Just remember that I get to meet her first."
It was a quick deal, she had to admit when she found herself sitting inside Jennie's car, leg bouncing in anticipation as she waited for you to arrive. She had already texted you to tell her when you finally arrived and you had complied and informed her about getting off the plane a good ten minutes ago.
There were too many people despite the time, but she's thankful that Jennie had tinted windows.
But once she'd caught sight of your face when you finally exited the gates, her spine straightened and she quickly called your number.
The surprise is evident on your face, but the smile was harder to miss and it made her even more giddy than she already was.
"I thought I told you that you didn't have to come here." You tease and she can't bite back her own smile from blooming on her face. "Technically, you didn't say I shouldn't." She retorts and you roll your eyes, though the smile doesn't deter as you start looking around. "Alright, where are you?"
"Aww, if you're going to be like that, I guess I should just go." She says playfully and you laugh before shaking your head. "Well, it would be a little disappointing for you to have gone all the way here at this time just to go back with nothing." You say and she scoffs at you. "Alright, smartass. Try to figure it out because the car sticks out like a sore thumb."
She can see the confusion flood your face as you turn your head a few times again, blinking as you try to find a noticeable looking vehicle and she had to laugh at the clueless expression on your face.
"It's Jennie unnie's car."
The hint makes you think a little bit more before your eyes start scanning the area. And it doesn't take long for you to spot the black Porsche that a few other civilians can't help but gawk at. At first, you just stood there with an owlish look on your face, but after her laughter pulled you out of your slight daze, you quickly grabbed your bag and hurried over.
"We don't have all night, slowpoke."
She hangs up before you can even respond, watching as you slowly inched closer and closer and she can feel her heart beating faster the more that you do and she had to restrain herself from throwing herself at you when you finally hop in after putting your luggage in the back.
"Hey, stranger." She greets casually despite her smile and you return the gesture. "Ah, so we're back to being strangers, is that it?" You retort playfully when you shut the door and she smirks before leaning over to give you a tight hug. "Oh, come on. Don't be so mean."
You reciprocate the embrace, arms looping around her small waist as best as you can in the given space before pulling back.
"I miss annoying you." You say with a pout, to which she lightly hits your arm in return. "You annoy me whenever you want. It doesn't even matter how far I am." You just give her a toothy grin when she pulls out of parking and then starts driving away from the airport. "Yeah, but seeing your reactions in person is a completely different experience." You claim with faux seriousness and she just rolls her eyes with how ridiculous you could sometimes be.
“Just tell me where you’re staying so I can get some sleep.”
“Y’know, sometimes I wonder if you regret your decision to stay with me after I nearly crashed into you that day.”
“Some days.”
..
Despite being on a supposed vacation, Chaeyoung is admittedly upset with how she’s still barely able to meet you. You were already just a couple minutes away and yet there’s always something coming up on her end, and by the time she’s ready to come and see you, you’re already out exploring on your own, albeit a little confused with your beginner’s level Korean.
It upset and worried her at the same time because, obviously, she had been eager to spend time with you once she found out you would be here. And the other was because she was afraid that something might happen to you while staying in a country you knew so little about.
“Relax, it’s not like I got kidnapped or something.” You waved with a small laugh and the idol pouted at you in reply. “But you got lost!” She exclaimed, making you groan this time as you leaned against the couch. “Okay, maybe I’m not that good with directions, but at least I made it back here.” You argue with your cheeks puffed out and she would have pinched them if she weren’t so worried at the moment after finding you wandering outside your hotel.
Letting out a sigh, Chaeyoung sat down next to you, her head falling against your shoulder before yours rested against it on instinct. “Just be more careful, or at least text me.” She tells you, making the corner of your lips quirk up while you take her hand, patting it gently. “I’ll be okay. But if that will make you feel better, then I will.”
“Thank you.”
Even though she can’t always be there for you, Chaeyoung is a little happy when she can, even with the amount of people trying to get her picture or attention.
It’s worried her on countless occasions, and as embarrassing as it was for her to admit, she’s had nights losing sleep thinking about how it would be overwhelming for you that you might turn around and never come back.
But you’ve not once looked at her any different.
You were amused sometimes, maybe, but to you, she was still the same sweet girl that made sure that you had someone keeping you company while you recovered, the same dorky and funny woman who you taught how to ride a bike and whose entire face lit up when she was able to do it all on her own.
She was just Chaeyoung in your eyes and maybe, just maybe, Jennie was right to think that she might be crushing on you.
“Will you ever visit again?” She can’t help but ask one day and you blink in surprise, staring at her from across the table and cocking your head to the side by the suddenness of her question. “Well, I’m going to have to polish my communication skills, but I think it’s not too far-fetched to come again.” You say with that same heart warming grin that’s never failed to make her heart stutter.
“Maybe a little longer next time?” She asks hopefully and you stare at her before giggling. “I mean, if I’m allowed to have a longer leave, then why not?” It’s not the answer she was hoping for, but that was enough.
“You’re thinking an awful lot today.” You note without looking at her and the blonde blinks owlishly as you rest your elbow on the table, cheek against your fist as you look at her. “Don’t tell me you’re going to miss me.” You tease and even when the heat rises to her cheeks at your claim, she scoffs before taking a bite of her food in hopes that you wouldn’t see her blushing.
“In your dreams. We both know you’re going to miss annoying me.” She retorts, missing the tiny glint in your eyes before you clear your throat and your lips form a crooked grin. “You’re not wrong.” You chuckle as she takes a sip, hoping that her face wasn’t so red anymore before meeting your eyes again.
But she had to pause when she noticed the way you kept your eyes away from her.
Had she missed something?
But before she could even ask, you were already finishing your food and then looking around. “I’m gonna head to the restroom real quick.” You inform her, flashing her a quick smile as she nodded wordlessly. Her eyes trail after your figure until you’re out of sight and her brain kicks into overdrive.
Did she say something? Or did you realize what she was feeling? Was she being too obvious?
A million thoughts swam through her head, she didn’t even notice the person walking over. “Chaeyoung, what are you doing here?” Looking up, the Australian blinked a few times before shaking her head. “Jisoo unnie, I was just having lunch with…”Glancing back at the restroom, she turned back to the older woman. “I’m with Y/n.” She answered quietly and the eldest’s eyes widened before she was looking around. “Really? Where is she? I didn’t know she was in Korea.” Jisoo went on, making the latter shift a bit before laughing nervously.
“Well, I… may have forgotten to mention it.” She says hesitantly and Jisoo’s eyes snap back to her, narrowing at her face. “So this is why you’ve been out of the dorm lately.” She huffed and Chaeyoung groaned. “You didn’t have to sneak out. You know we just wanted to meet her.”
“I wasn’t sneaking!”
“Yeah, sure, you weren’t.”
Rolling her eyes, Chaeyoung looked at her older member before shaking her head. “What are you doing here, unnie?” This time, it was Jisoo’s turn to roll her eyes before she held her phone up. “If you had checked, Jennie was asking all of us if we wanted to have lunch together. But I think we can forgive you as long as we finally get to-”
“Um, I hope I’m not interrupting?”
The pair’s attention shifts to you when you come back and Chaeyoung felt her heart jump to her throat when she realized just how soon you were to meet her members.
And she wasn’t exactly prepared for that yet.
“Oh, hello! You must be Y/n, I’m Jisoo.” You looked like a deer caught in headlights but waved your hand in response. “It’s nice to meet you.” You tell her despite your confusion and she laughs while Chaeyoung was quickly looking around in search of her two remaining members.
“Wow, you’re actually prettier in person.” Chaeyoung’s eyes snapped back to you when she heard Jisoo speak again and she swears that she’s ready to bolt out the door while embarrassment fills your face. “I, um, thank you. So are you.”
You’re thankful that you decided to pick up Korean after meeting Chaeyoung, so you were able to hold a decent conversation, at least.
“Yeah, well, I’m glad you guys finally met, but we kinda have to-”
“Rosie! I thought you wouldn’t make it.” Said woman’s face paled when Jennie suddenly joined the group, a bright smile on her face as she gave Jisoo a hug and you stood awkwardly to the side whilst Chaeyoung stood up.
But instead of being able to answer, Jisoo was already gesturing to you.
“Jendeukie, did you know that Chaeyoung was seeing Y/n?” She asked playfully and the rapper’s brows furrowed in slight confusion before her eyes landed on you. Her expression was quick to light up again as she grinned and waved at you.
“Hi!” She greeted while detaching herself from the older woman. “You would think that Rosie introduced us by now with how long you’ve been here, but it’s nice to finally meet you!” She says while offering a hand for you to shake, one you take despite your confusion.
“Well, Y/n, Jennie unnie. Jennie unnie, Y/n.” Chaeyoung had already left some money on the table to cover for your meal when she stood up. So, she was already by your side and gripping at your forearm. “We kinda have to go, so I hope we can pick this up some other time.”
“But-”
Just as the blonde started to pull you away, the moment she turned around, she came face to face with none other than her best friend, Lisa.
“Aw, I’m the last one. I was so sure Chaeyoung would be late.” She pouted, however, her eyes landed on her best friend’s hand connected with your arm and she had to blink before realization struck her across the face and Chaeyoung could feel her stomach drop when she realized that there was no getting out of this.
“I was just leaving, really. Sorry, I’ll make it up to you guys ano-”
“You didn’t tell me Y/n was here!” Lisa’s grinned when she gently pushed her friend aside to get a better look at you and you had to take a step back with how close she was, only to be pulled back into a tight hug. “It’s nice to finally meet you! Chaeyoung never shuts up about you, I swear.”
“I’m sure you know who I am already, but I’m Lisa, the best friend.” She boasts once she lets go of you and Jennie had to laugh while Jisoo protested. “Yah! What do you mean you’re the best friend?”
“Because I am.” Lisa stuck her tongue out at the two older members before she turned back to you, the smile back on her face. “Why hasn’t Chaeyoung introduced us yet? Oh, wait, can you understand Korean?” She had quickly switched to English, which you were thankful for with how fast she was speaking, but nod in reply. “Yeah, I’ve been studying.” You mumbled out and Chaeyoung quickly pulled the two of you apart, huffing as she eyed her friends.
“I had plans of introducing you later.” She stressed, earning a small scoff from Jennie. “You promised you would introduce her to me, first, after I lent you my car!” She whined and Jisoo gave her an incredulous look. “Yah! Why didn’t I know she was coming?”Chaeyoung could already feel a headache forming the longer she listened and when she saw the look on your face when you kept looking between each girl.
There was no way you were going to come back at this point.
“Listen, we already have plans for today, so how about we just schedule something next time for a more formal meeting, yeah?” She attempted, taking your hand again and making sure to put as much distance between you and the Thai woman as possible before shooting her friends a pleading look and Jennie quickly caught on before nudging the older girl.
“Yeah, you guys can go have fun.” She answered with a gummy smile while Jisoo huffed, but nodded nonetheless. “Be sure about that.” Chaeyoung smiles gratefully, but Lisa was nowhere near compliant. “But-!”Jennie wrapped an arm around the girl’s neck and pulled her back, cutting off her protest as she waved her other hand. “Have fun! Rosie, text us.” She then shifted her attention to you, smile still present. “And it was really nice to meet you, Y/n.
”You gave her an awkward smile in return before you and Chaeyoung finally managed to get out of the restaurant despite Lisa’s protests and Jisoo’s laughter when Jennie began to scold the maknae into giving you your privacy.
Chaeyoung’s scarred for life, and she thinks that you’re most likely just as bad as her, if not worse.
But as soon as you’re both in the car, her ears perk up at the quiet snort that comes from you before you’re full on laughing.
The blonde isn’t too sure what to do or say as she stares at you, bewildered after that encounter, but she waits until you’ve recomposed yourself and caught your breath before deciding to speak. “Uh, I am really sorry about them.” She mutters while you wipe the corners of your eyes.
“You’re sorry?” You ask incredulously before chuckling and then leaning back. “That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever witnessed, and here I thought those things only happened in shows.” You tell her while buckling up and she can’t stop looking at you with her brows pinched together.
“You’re not weirded out?” She can’t help asking and your brows shoot up as you face her. “Chae, you guys are idols, but the way the four of you acted made me feel like I was back in high school.” You chuckle while tilting your head to get a better look at her. “I guess you really should never really assume what other people are like based on appearances.”
She grew quiet for a few moments before a smile bloomed on her face and she was soon shaking her head, chuckling despite herself as she started the car. “That’s true. I mean, at first I thought you would be a really shy kind of person, turns out you’re really annoying.” She teased, earning a smack on the shoulder as you whined.
..
“I still can’t believe you didn’t tell us you were seeing her!” Chaeyoung had to sigh for the umpteenth time when she listened to Lisa’s rant from the other end of the call. “And you promised to introduce Jennie unnie first? I can’t believe you!”
“Stop being so dramatic, and I helped Rosie get to Y/n.” Jennie’s voice could be heard, though a little muffled due to being a little farther from the phone. “That’s bribery.” Jisoo retorted and Chaeyoung pinched the bridge of her nose the more she listened to the three arguing.
But the more she did hear them, she couldn’t help but think back on what you’d said earlier that day and her friends’ voices were soon drowned out by the sound of your voice instead and a smile came creeping up her face when she remembered yours.
“Ahem.”
“And she says it’s not a crush.” It’s Lisa’s voice that snaps her out of her thoughts before looking back at the screen with a frown. “Okay, so maybe I do like her. It’s not like she likes me back, I don’t even know if she likes girls.” She retorted, making Jisoo roll her eyes this time while Jennie giggled. “Chaeyoung, you need to start acting like a woman if you want to get yourself one.” The eldest stated as a matter of fact and Lisa snorted.
“First, no one learns a whole other language and culture just because they want to impress a friend. And may I emphasize, to impress just one friend.” Jennie butted in. “And second, no one just flies across the ocean, unplanned, for a friend.”
“Hey, those are all possible between friends!” Chaeyoung denies, but she can’t deny the way heat crawls up her skin and her heart skipping a beat at the possibility. “I mean, unless you have all the time and money in the world, I guess. But judging by what you said earlier, she had to take off work just to come here, which is another point to what unnie said.” Lisa pointed out.
“Thank you.”
“I’m not about to risk my friendship with her on a what if. If I do that, she’s probably never gonna come back or even talk to me.”
“So you’re fine mulling over the ‘what if’ you could have gotten together for the rest of your life?” Surprisingly, it’s Lisa that asks her this time and Chaeyoung goes quiet. “There’s gonna be a lot of what if’s in your life Chaeyoung, you just need to have the courage to get the answers for them.” Jisoo says with an encouraging smile and the younger girl chews on her bottom lip before looking out the window of the car and to the hotel she had dropped you off.
“Can I call you guys later?” She asks quietly and the three all give her smiles while nodding. “Of course. Whatever you decide, we’ll be here.” She smiles at that, because no matter what happens, she knows she’s always going to have the girls to back her up.
“Thank you.”
Once Chaeyoung is left alone to her thoughts, she lets the words sink into her head as she presses her back against the driver’s seat, a deep breath leaving her lips as she tries to gather her bearings.
They were right.
Even with the fact that you were leaving soon, whether you decide to keep in contact with her or not even if she did confess would be something she can’t control. And if you were meant to stay or leave, then she’d accept that.
So, with a deep inhale, she shuts off the engine and steps out of the car to enter the building, getting on the elevator to get to your floor and then making her way to your room.
She strides down the halls with purpose, head held high despite the beating of her heart, and when she finally stops in front of the door, she takes in another breath before knocking firmly against the wooden surface.
The longer it takes for you to answer, the quicker her confidence starts dropping. Her nerves start kicking in and she’s starting to doubt whether she’s really about to do this or not.
But before she can decide that it isn’t worth it and to turn back, the door swings open for her to see you already in more comfortable clothing and all the words that she wants to say die in her mouth.
“Chae, what are you doing here?” She’s never told you, but she always likes it when you call her name. Even though everyone else calls her the same thing, you saying it has always been her favorite.
“There’s something I need to tell you.” She breathes out and you’re a little worried with how breathless she sounds, so you open the door wider. “Sure, why don’t you come in an-” But before you can even finish what you’re saying, her arms are already wrapped around your shoulders, just like the night she picked you up from the airport, only this time she was able to hold you more comfortably.
But you’re even more surprised when she tilts her head to press her lips against yours when your arms wrap around her waist, holding her securely as you stumble back.
With the last bit of her courage, Chaeyoung places one hand against your jaw and it’s then where she feels you kiss her back and she’s breathing out in relief before she’s allowing herself to be soaked up in your embrace and all her senses are filled with nothing but you when her heart is basically bursting in her chest.
She managed to kick the door close behind her so she doesn’t have to worry about your privacy. And when she pulls back to look at you, her eyes are half lidded with your faces a hair’s width apart and you’re looking at her with a newfound emotion she hasn’t quite seen in you.
“Hi.” You breathed out and she giggled, your reddened face matching her own. “Hi.” She whispers, voice just as quiet as your own and her own eyes mirroring the look she found in your own.
“I’m sorry for, y’know, barging in like this.” She tells you and your smile only widens at her words. “If this is how you always barge in, I don’t think I’ll mind.” You tell her and her own smile grows bigger before she’s leaning back in for another kiss.
“You’re so annoying.” She laughs after pulling away and you give her a grin before pulling her further into the room.
“You love me anyway.”
And this time, she wasn’t too afraid to say that, maybe, yeah, it was more than just a crush.

Hongdae, Seoul -- 8:00 PM
“Good evening, everyone! Before I open the doors, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time out of your day to stop in. We couldn’t have done this without your support, and we’re endlessly grateful. We hope you have a wonderful experience with us tonight. Now, without further ado, welcome to La Rêverie!”
To your amusement, the sizable crowd erupts into a fit of cheers once your opening speech is over. Echoes of the joyous sounds carry across the city, wiggling their way through the alleys and streets, bouncing off of the nearby buildings. The customers slowly filter in, greeting and congratulating you on their way; you’re beyond excited to start this new journey, and seeing people so happy to be a part of it only makes you more proud.
Eventually everyone makes it inside to their seats, and you join them.
--- Later That Evening ---
“Y/N, we have a private party that would like to see you. They’re eager to meet the woman behind all of this,” Pierre smirks, quirking an eyebrow suggestively. His demeanor confuses you slightly, seeing as how this isn’t the first time high profile celebrities have requested your presence -- that’s just one of the perks of being a world renowned chef. You brush off his remark as playful banter and send him to tell them that you’ll be out soon.
---
“...yes, actually. Y/N and I were fortunate enough to meet when she was studying in Paris; we were being trained by the same chef. We’ve been close ever since. I’m not surprised that she hired me, though; I’m practically a master in the kitchen.”
At Pierre’s cocky words, your eyes nearly roll into the back of your head. A small grin plays on your lips nonetheless, and you smooth out your top one more time before rounding the corner.
“What’s this idiot on about now? Did he tell you about the time that he nearly got kicked out of our mentorship program for giving Anthony Bourdain the wrong dish?” You ask the table, sending them a glance while ruffling his hair as you come up behind him. They all snicker at that, and it’s his turn to roll his eyes; with an annoyed shove, he scolds you for bringing that story up again.
“Must you always tell people about that?”
Your smile widens, spreading cutely across your face. Mocking him is one of your favorite things to do. “Mhm,” you say simply, nodding your head for emphasis. He attempts to hide his embarrassment, but it only brings a deeper blush to his cheeks.
At the VIP table, the suppressed sound of laughter carries over to you, and you’re reminded of your reason for being here in the first place. Upon offering your full attention to the table now, no longer distracted by Pierre, you’re met with 4 different pairs of eyes on you. Warm, yellow light illuminates the area, the classy overhead fixture emitting a soft glow to cast down on the guests beautifully. It’s cozy and inviting, just like you had intended it to be, and the sight makes you happy.
As you quickly scan over each of the girls, your brain pieces together where you know them from.
“My oh my, it’s Blackpink themselves. To what do I owe this honor?” All of the natural charisma that you possess takes over now, doing its best to override your nerves. It’s definitely not the time to fangirl over them; you have to act cool. One by one, you shake their hands, making sure to give each of them a glimpse of your award winning smile.
Jennie is the first to speak up. “Yourself, of course. You’re the talk of the town, Y/N, how could we miss this?” The way that she says it so casually, already skipping past the formalities, puts you at ease.
“Ah, you’re too kind. Was your food prepared to your liking?”
A chorus of approving noises leaves the table, successfully boosting your confidence in the process. “It was truly incredible, Y/N.” Rosé gushes, her adorable accent adding something magical to the simple phrase. For the first time tonight, your mind goes blank; ever since news broke of your plans for this new restaurant, you practiced to avoid this very thing. As you stand there floundering for a beat, she takes notice of the effect that her words have on you; it doesn’t take long for her to realize how much she loves to make you blush.
“Thank you so much. We’re so glad to have you here tonight.”
“We’re happy to be here! Rosé hasn’t stopped talking about it for the past week.” The Australian’s eyes go wide as Lisa exposes her, and she shoots the younger girl a shocked look. Lisa only smirks at this, her shoulders rising and falling in a nonchalant shrug. Jisoo nods in confirmation, adding, “Yeah, she’s been super pumped.”
On the inside, you’re freaking out. Rosé was that excited to try out your creations? There’s no logical explanation for that one. Your own surprise is evident in your voice as you respond, “Oh really now? And why’s that?”
“I-I’ve just heard a lot of great things, you know? You’re pretty talented.” She tries to sound confident, but the stutter in her voice betrays her. The tips of her ears are burning with embarrassment, and after sending her yet another smile, you decide to spare her by changing the topic.
“Well thank you, again. It’s truly a privilege to cook for you girls.” The conversation continues from there, effortlessly moving from subject to subject, and you love how welcome they make you feel. Occasionally you excuse yourself to check on the other guests and ensure that they’re enjoying their dinner, and every time, Rosé finds herself sorely missing your presence. Despite only officially meeting tonight, she feels like she’s known you her whole life. The two of you clicked instantly, and she can’t seem to get enough of you.
After spending the better part of 2 hours chatting and getting to know one another better, you grow bold and ask the question that’s been rolling around in your head all night.
“Would you guys like to come back to the kitchen for a bit? I could give you some tips and we could make a couple dishes, if you want.”
Rosé nearly interrupts you from how eager she is to accept the offer. The second that you’re done asking, she’s already saying yes. The others happily agree as well, and soon you’re leading them to the back to get prepped.
_________
“Just like this, everyone. Cut thinly here,” you inform, using your knife to point to the areas in question, “...then turn it and follow through with the slices. It should come out diced, like so.” The girls observed your swift motions, peeking over at the small cubes once you’re finished. Things continue on like this for a while, and soon you’re halfway done with the veggies while they’re barely done with the first part of their batches.
“Slow down, Y/N! You’re too fast for us grandmas.” Jisoo jests, her voice bouncy with amusement.
“Okay, okay! I’ll wait, just let me know if you need help.” Your knife comes to rest against the cutting board, and you take the opportunity to lean back against the countertop to watch them work. Your eyes trail over to Rosé, only to find her already looking at you; she tenses once she realizes she’s been caught, and she returns to her previous duties. You decide to tease her.
“Everything alright, Rosé? You seem a little distracted…” She momentarily shuts her eyes at your words, trying to refocus her thoughts and collect herself. A subtle snicker from Lisa can be heard, and Rosé delivers a quick jab to her arm. The maknae lets out a little “oww” before setting her things down to rub away the newfound soreness of her arm.
A little later, Jennie requests some assistance, prompting you to make your way over to her. The station that she’s working at just so happens to be next to Rosé’s, and you’d be lying if you said that didn’t thrill you.
“Do we peel this first or leave it on?”
“Cut the ends first, then slice it in half and remove the outer layer.”
Under your watchful eye, she follows your instructions and is soon back on track. She thanks you, and you bring your hand up to give her a pat on the back. Although she feels childish for it, the action works to make Rosé the tiniest bit jealous; she wants your attention on her.
The blonde clears her throat before speaking up. “Y/N, I need a little help, too.” Your heart jumps at her words, and you fight hard to keep yourself in check as you spin around to face her.
“Of course, Rosé.” She sighs at the way her name rolls off your tongue, and she’s completely convinced that you’ve secretly put her under some type of spell. Her thoughts of you and your mysterious ways are interrupted when you come to stand next to her, your hip lightly brushing against hers.
“Oh, well there’s your problem: you’re holding the knife wrong. Here,” you start, reaching out to reposition her hand in a better spot. Now she’ll be able to control it better, and she won’t run the risk of cutting herself.
“Better?” You ask innocently, missing the way that she bites her lip. The close proximity of your bodies is making her head spin, and she can’t decide if she wants you to stay or go. “Yes, thank you.” She looks like she wants to say something else, but she doesn’t, so you take that as your cue to go check on the other girls. Rosé silently curses herself for missing that golden opportunity to flirt with you, but she takes solace in the fact that she catches you stealing glances her way fairly often. You feel the connection too, and she’s pleased with that -- maybe she was doing something right after all.
The next stint of the night is spent preparing and cooking the dishes you promised them while trading jokes, banter, and teasing remarks. A mini food fight also took place, but for the sake of professionalism you won’t mention that. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
----
“Goodnight girls. I hope you come by again sometime soon!”
They all assure you that they’ll be back before you know it, and you believe them. After all, they gobbled those dishes down like they hadn’t eaten in days -- it’s safe to say that they enjoyed them.
Rosé lingers in the doorway, eyeing you as you work to clean off the counter. She doesn’t want to go; she’s loved getting to hang out with you. Contemplating her options, she decides to be brave; she tells the girls to go on ahead, that she’ll be there in a minute.
“Rosé, did you forget something?” You ask, looking up at her as you reach forward to wipe any remaining debris off the sleek surface.
“Yeah, your number.” Somehow, she possesses all the confidence in the world now, her new demeanor completely opposite to its previously shy counterpart.
You tilt your head at her, a dumbfounded smile parting your lips ever so slightly. “Bold, are we? Alright, I’ll bite.” You say, holding a hand out for her to give you her phone. Her eyes widen a bit -- was she not expecting you to say yes? There’s no way you could turn down a chance like this. She fumbles around in her bag until the smooth screen of her phone comes into contact with her fingers, letting her know she’s found it.
“Here you go,” she chuckles cutely, an adorable little pattern of blush rising to her cheeks again.
After entering your number, making sure to save the contact and even take a goofy picture of yourself for it, you give it back to her. “Call me anytime, love.” Her smile spreads even farther at the pet name, and she ducks her head to hide her reddening cheeks.
As she slowly approaches the door, walking backwards, she says, “I will… love,” offering you a little awkward salute at the end of it. You giggle at her antics, and soon bid her goodnight.
No more than 5 minutes later, your phone dings as it displays a notification from an unknown number.
“I’m usually not that awkward 🤦♀️ pretty girls just make me nervous.” The message makes your heart flutter, and you quickly save her number to your contacts.
“Really? We have yet another thing in common, then.”
The girls watch as Rosé does a little victory dance in her seat, her movements a bit limited by the belt stretched across her body. She’s practically glowing with excitement, her fingers already firing off another reply.
________
3 Years Later -- Rome, Italy
Upon seeing Rosé saunter down the aisle, your emotions get the jump on you; before you can stop them, tears flow freely down your face, and you bring a hand up to your mouth to quiet yourself. She looks bruisingly beautiful: the natural curves of her body are accentuated by the silky material of her dress, and her shoulders are covered in lace. An angel cast down from the heavens above.
She smiles at the audience that’s filled with your close friends and family, offering little greetings as she passes them. Once she and her father make it to the altar, he pulls you in for a big hug, a few tears escaping his eyes. After he takes a step back, he looks between the two of you with pure pride on his face, his hand resting on your shoulder.
The song ends, signalling for the two of you to join hands and face each other, and he returns to his seat.
“We’re gathered here today to celebrate the joyous union of Y/N L/N and Roseanne Park. Two souls destined to find their way to one another, travelling millions of miles in the process. We come together to revel in this fact and send them into their new life together with all of our support.” The officiator says into the microphone, smiling at the two of you. You can tell he loves his job, and he’s damn good at it.
Rosé’s grip on your hand tightens as she tries to contain her tears, but you’re quick to assure her that it’s alright. “You can cry, baby.” At your words, her lip is released from between her teeth, and her tears begin to flow. You wipe them away, stepping closer to rest your forehead against hers.
The ceremony continues on and the two of you recite the personal vows you wrote. Somehow, unbeknownst to you, there doesn’t seem to be a limit to how much you can cry in one sitting. Rosé is having the same problem, seeing as how her makeup is smudging some as the tears wash the substances away. You don’t care though, and you make it a point to remind her of that; she’s never looked more beautiful to you.
“I do.” You choke out, beaming at her as you run your thumb across her knuckles.
“I do.” She responds, impatiently bouncing on the balls of her feet as she waits for those final words from the officiator.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
Her lips are on yours before he even finishes the phrase, her hand resting on the back of your neck as she pulls you in closer. Your lips move with hers in perfect time, working to seal your union in the best way possible. “I love you, forever,” she whispers against your lips.
____
Present Day, 1:17 AM
In order to spare you from the overwhelming sadness that you’re being subjected to now, your brain takes you back to those happy times from the past. When Rosé still made time for you; when she loved you.
Even though you hate it, you still find her in everything. The bright sunshine of the early morning reminds you of all the times she would wake you up with kisses, holding you close. The songbirds outside of your window bring to mind when you’d come home to find her at the piano, alternating between striking the keys and strumming her guitar as her beautiful voice carried out across the house.
You miss that Rosé, so, so much. The Rosé that would call you in between sessions at the studio, if only for 5 minutes. The Rosé that longed to hear your voice after a long day; who fell into your arms the second that she shuffled through the door after practice.
As time has passed, though, she’s seemed to fade more and more from your life; missed calls and texts have become a given, and it takes everything in you to mask your sorrow. Anyone who knows you well at all can easily see through the facade: you’re now a shell of who you once were, your normally vibrant and cheery self gone. You attempt to hide your sadness behind a smile, but it never really works out; your eyes don’t shine like they used to, and your lips don’t quite tweak up at the corners in the special way they had before.
But you’re getting ahead of yourself again. Your reason for crying tonight is simple: for the hundredth time this month, she’s cancelled your date night plans, opting to spend the time working instead. The argument that the two of you had earlier replays in your mind:
"I don't have a choice."
Except, she did. She could choose you, choose to take a break, if only for the evening. You never ask too much of her, knowing that she can't handle even more stress competing with what she already has from the company and media. Being an idol is hard enough, and you know you can never fully wrap your head around everything that's expected of her.
Though, that makes this all the more ridiculous. All you've asked for is a couple hours of her time -- for her to relax with you and get away from it all. Earlier that day you had gone to the store and picked up all the necessary materials to treat her to a little spa day, complete with bath and body oils, face masks, and even some bath bombs.
"Asking my wife to spend an evening with me is not unreasonable, Rosé."
"I'm not having this argument again, Y/N. I get enough shit from everyone else; I don't need any extra from you."
Maybe it was something in how she said it, so final and hateful, her face coming to rest in a scowl. Her arms were crossed as she stood in front of you, and you could see the muscles in her jaw clench and release repeatedly. In some twisted way, part of you was glad to have this encounter; it hurt like hell, but at least she was paying attention to you. She hadn't looked at you for this long in a while.
Before you can even get another word out, she sighs, saying, "I don't have time for this. I have to go back to the studio."
Just as she turns to go, you catch her wrist. With a slightly annoyed look, she turns to face you.
"If you walk out that door then I'm leaving; at least for the night. We need to talk about this, but if you don't care enough to even give me that, then…" you trail off, tilting your head slightly. You want her to apologize, to say how wrong she's been for doing all of this to you -- but she doesn't. Her expression is tired, irritation written plainly for you to see. She pulls her arm away, offering a petty, "Oh well," with a shrug before exiting the house.
How could she be so cold? Maybe that's what hurt the most. Seeing the love of your life turn into someone completely different than who you fell for stung more than any argument ever could. The reality is that she's not the same person anymore. Accepting that would be half of the battle in and of itself.
Your heart is betraying itself, stuck in a sticky situation: you're constantly struggling between your love for her and the respect you hold for yourself. Half of you wants to stay, to make her listen and fight for this; but the other half of you, perhaps the more rational side, knows that that won't work now. You've tried that already, you reason with yourself, racking your brain for any new way to get through to her.
Sometimes it's like she forgets all of the sacrifices you make for the relationship. Despite having your own busy schedule to deal with, you always make time for her. So why could she never do the same for you?
It's obvious that in its current state, this relationship is only wrecking your mental health -- a testament to that is every night you've spent lying awake, sobbing into your pillow as your list of insecurities grows longer and longer. She used to be the person you'd run to when negative thoughts plagued your mind, her sweet words of love showing how much she valued you. But all of that's gone now, leaving you with a shattered heart and racing mind. When had you stopped being enough?
~~~~~~~
It’s late, well past 4AM when Rosé manages to make it home. Practice absolutely wrecked her today, leaving her body exhausted from dancing and throat sore from all the singing she had to do. She’s more than ready to collapse into bed and pass out.
One thing that always stayed the same was your sleeping arrangement. No matter how much Rosé hurt you, you still slept in the same bed. Her subconscious was always kinder to you than she was, anyway; the two of you would cuddle in close like before, her arms wrapped around you as she slept peacefully. No arguments or yelling, you could always count on the nights to heal your heart a little bit.
As she enters the empty bedroom, the memory of your argument from earlier that day comes flooding back. She remembers that you said you were leaving, but part of her didn't fully believe you. She should've known better -- you always keep your word. Guilt washes over her, and she gently taps her head against the wall as a sort of self-punishment for her previous actions. Why did she say that to you? The hurt look in your eyes broke her heart, but she couldn’t afford to skip practice, especially with the comeback quickly approaching. In retrospect, she should’ve just told you that she didn’t feel prepared, and that’s why this practice had been so important. Even though she doesn’t show it, you still mean the world to her. She just so happens to be her own worst enemy.
With a heavy sigh, she makes her way to the bathroom; there she finds a cute little basket of goodies next to the tub, and a note on the counter of the sink. She approaches the basket first, quickly discovering that it holds some of her favorite self-care items from the local store. Yet again, a deep pang of guilt courses through her upon realizing that you had prepared that for her. Defeated, she picks up the note.
Roseanne,
If you’re reading this, then I’ve already left. I don’t want you to worry, if you even still care enough to do that, so I decided to leave this letter for you. I’ll be staying with my friend for the next while. I don’t know how long, but that depends entirely on you. I’ve tried to communicate with you, but we’re getting nowhere; we both know it. We’re not who we used to be, Rosé, and I hate that. I want us to be happy again, but it seems that I can’t do that for you. If you want to end things, let me know.
- Y/N
Rosé’s heart is breaking, splintering into a million different pieces and leaving her with no possible way to collect them all. How had she so royally fucked this up? She only has herself to blame, and she knows that; she can’t believe that she let things get like this. She had been so blinded by the stress that she lost sight of the most important thing in her life: you. It’s slowly sinking in that she very well might lose you for good this time, and she doesn’t know how to cope with that. She can survive without her career, but she knows she can’t go on without you.
----- La Rêverie, 2 Weeks Later -----
She only intended to walk by -- to see if you were there and safe. But as she gazes through the windows, peeking into the place that houses so many of her dearest memories, she’s transfixed. Her eyes land on you, finding you hard at work in the kitchen. It’s always been where you go when you’re stressed or upset about something -- two things that Rosé knows she’s the cause of.
You’re in your element, face donning a look of pure concentration as you prepare what she assumes is a new dish. Your hair’s in a bun, a few strands coming down to fall around your face as you move about. Gravity takes its time in gently coaxing them out of the tie's hold, and Rosé’s breath hitches at how beautiful you look; it’s as if she’s falling for you all over again. She’s always admired your skills, but they hold a whole new meaning now, an unspoken tension in every movement you make.
How had she been so selfish? You had been there for her all along, waiting patiently for the day that she would come to her senses. You would always have dinner ready -- usually one of her favorites, hoping that would spark something again -- but she always brushed you off. She never stayed long enough to see the crushed look on your face, or how the pain was becoming clearer and clearer by the day. She realizes now just how much of a toll her actions have taken on the both of you; you're still just as breathtaking as ever to her, but that special sparkle in your eye has long been eclipsed by something more dull. You're tired of being let down repeatedly, stuck in a constant loop of excuses and avoidance, and Rosé can't blame you for a second.
The time apart hasn't been kind to her at all; there hasn't been a single day that's gone by where you haven't consumed her thoughts. She misses you so badly it hurts, and even now, despite being so close to you, separated only by the walls of the restaurant, you've never been further away.
The distant sound of a car alarm cuts through the silence, simultaneously scaring her and drawing your attention. Before you can spot her, she ducks down; there’s no way that she can face you yet. Taking this as a sign, she decides to leave.
She’s spent the past 2 weeks attempting to spare you by not coming around; she thinks you need time away from her to deal with everything she’s put you through, and she doesn’t want to upset you anymore than she already has. Ever-torn, part of you is glad that she’s stayed away; however, another part of you just wants to see her again. You miss the nights more than you thought you would.
--- A Few Days Later ---
Steady sheets of rain pound harshly against the window, vibrating the latches with each gust of wind. Times like these are always the worst, especially when you don’t have Rosé to calm you down. Violent thunderstorms never fail to frighten you, and this one in particular seems like it’ll be the worst one of the season. Swiftly padding over to the window, you sneak a quick peek outside, only to find the branches of the large oak tree that occupies the yard swaying in the wind with reckless abandon. The sight terrifies you, but you do your best to keep yourself from panicking, even having to do some breathing exercises. Your friend can sleep through anything, and you know she needs the rest; so, you stay in the spare bedroom that she’s so graciously allowing you to reside in, and lie awake.
Across the city, Rosé is tossing and turning. The storm hasn’t fully reached its peak there yet, but she knows how worried you must be. Tears spring to her eyes at the thought of you huddled up under the covers, body trembling in fear as the storm rages on. The deep-rooted shame that she’s grown so accustomed to since you left plagues her conscience, making her even more disgusted with herself.
After turning over yet again, her eyes land on the picture she has of the two of you propped up on the nightstand. It was taken on your wedding day, that stunning view of the venue paling in comparison to your beauty. A sense of determination washes over her -- determination to make you that happy again someday, in whatever way she can -- and she gets out of bed to collect a few materials. She’ll do whatever it takes.
----
The sound of a car door slamming perks your ears up, and your curiosity gets the better of you. Quickly pulling the curtain back, you’re beyond shocked to see Rosé out there, holding something in her hand. Just as you lean in closer to the window to try and see what it is, her caller ID pops up on your phone.
“Come downstairs, please.”
Even with the vast array of emotions coursing through you at the moment, you’re only focused on getting her inside and out of harm’s way.
You nearly knock the door off its hinges with how quickly you snap it open. To your surprise, she’s still standing by her car, but now you can see what she was holding before; a white sign with black writing on it. The words are barely legible with how much it's raining, the dye of the marker horribly smudged, but you can make out: “I’m sorry! I’m an idiot.” It’s like something out of romantic drama.
Before you can even comment on everything that’s happening, Rosé begins the speech that she’s been trying to piece together ever since you left.
She has to raise her voice so you can hear her over the storm. You wonder why she doesn’t just come in, but you think that maybe she’s doing it to show you that she’s willing to punish herself by standing out in the elements. “No words that I say will ever be able to fix the pain that my actions caused. You don’t deserve any of the shit I put you through, and I hate myself for being such a coward. I was too immature to look past my own struggles and just talk to you about them.”
Now, she takes a few cautious steps towards the front door, testing the waters as she scans your face to gauge how you’re feeling. “I guess I just thought I could deal with it like I always do. But losing you showed me how wrong I was; I love you so much, Y/N. I don’t want to end things; I’ll never want that. You’re my world, baby; I’m so sorry that it took me this long to see what was right in front of me.”
How are you to respond to that? Can you trust her? She looks more sincere in this moment than she has in a long time, and that puts you a little more at ease. Her eyes are begging -- pleading -- with you to believe her, and after a moment you step to the side, wordlessly telling her to come in. You don’t even realize that you’re crying until a few stray tears drip onto your shirt, leaving little marks in their wake. She has to restrain herself from reaching out and wiping them away; she has no idea when -- or if -- you’ll be able to forgive her.
Soft pitter-patter of the water running off of her coat echoes lightly across the foyer, serving as white noise for the conversation you’re having. Her sniffles work in tandem with it, and she bites back her sobs in order to get the words out.
“I know this won’t be fixed overnight, but I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, if you’ll let me. I won’t blame you for a second if you can’t forgive me, either. I just couldn’t let you get away without a fight.”
With each new fresh batch of tears that settle in your eyes, you have to work twice as hard to blink them away. “I-I don’t know what to say, Rose. You’re the only person in this world capable of hurting me that badly, because you mean more to me than anyone else. But I never thought you’d treat me like that. Do you know how many times I doubted myself, thinking I did something wrong?” Your tone is bitter now, voice conveying the pain from those months of anguish that you had to endure, and Rosé hangs her head.
“I know that now, Y/N, and I know that I can never take it back. But God, how I wish I could. I’d do anything in my power to take that pain away. It was never your fault; none of it was.”
You know she’s being honest. After seeing the opposite for so long, it’s easy to spot when she’s telling the truth. You nod a couple times, deciding to pull her in for a long-overdue hug. She’s motionless at first, not quite knowing if you want her to return it or not, but the second that you quietly say, “Hold me, Rosé,” she’s scooping you up in her arms like her life depends on it. Her head rests in the crook of your neck, and the two of you cry together, letting all of the pent up frustration and sadness leave your bodies.
After standing there, embracing one another for who knows how long, she pulls away just enough to look into your eyes. Her gaze subtly falls to your lips, but you don’t fail to notice. “Can I?” She asks gently, raising her eyes back up to yours. “Yes.” You utter, nearly swooning as her soft lips brush against your own. You’ve missed them.
Her chilled hands cup your cheeks with purpose, and you can feel water running off the ends of her hair and onto your chest.
She kisses you in such a poetic way: softly, as if you might break at any moment, but urgently, like a lost soldier finally returning to the arms of their lover. She wants to make you feel how sorry she is, how much she loves you, and this seems like the perfect place to start.
“I love you, jerk,” you say through your tears, brushing your thumb along her cheek as you look into her eyes.
“And I love you, angel.” She picks you up, spinning you around a couple of times before setting you back down on your feet.
After a moment, you glace at the window. “Shhhh, wait. Do you hear that?”
She cocks her head to the side as she listens closely for any potential noise that you might be talking about, but she hears nothing. “No? I don’t hear anything…”
“Exactly; the rain stopped.”
“Huh. I guess it did its job, then.” She smiles, silently thanking the universe for working in its wonderful ways. It brought the two of you back to one another, and neither of you can contain your happiness. Maybe you don’t hate storms as much after all...
