The seventh and penultimate ensemble of "Unnatural Habits" (Season 2, Episode 12) is a variation of Phryne's cat burglar outfit, featuring a short black velvet jacket, black button up blouse, pants and circular beret.
As appropriate for a clandestine venture aboard a ship, Phryne dons an all black outfit, featuring her v-neck button up black silk blouse seen earlier in this episode, as well as in 2x03, and paired with her classic wide leg silk faille black pants. To maximize movement and practicality, Miss Fisher wears a short velvet jacket on top, which appeared in both 1x05 and 2x01 also during breaking and entering enterprises. While very similar to her authentic 1920's long coat worn in 1x07, 1x10, 2x02, and 2x03, this jacket has high gathered sleeves and a puffed collar as well.
A familiar accessory to her less than legal activities, Phryne's circular French beret has shown up no less than sixteen times total, including this episode; twice in 1x05, in 1x06, 1x09, twice in 1x10, 2x01, 2x03, 2x04, twice in 2x05, 2x06, 2x07, 2x11, and earlier in 2x12.
Complemented by her teardrop onyx earrings with silver caps, black leather gloves, and black suede heels, Miss Fisher also adds a black scarf with a small panel of white floral embroidery along the hem while accompanying Jack to the police station. Interestingly, this exact scarf was worn by the author of the Phryne Fisher books, Kerry Greenwood, when she and her partner David appeared as cameos in "Blood at the Wheel" (2x07).

Me when I make a character who's supposed to feel dangerous and set off the alarm bells in your brain and yet again make them tall, very lanky, wiry and bony with protruding bones, and give them blond/white (usually long) hair and themes of nature/flowers:
#come on this cant keep happening#to be fair Chatterbird specifically does not fit ALL of those#because shes black haired and short and her colour is red and she has no connection to nature#but i think thats because shes a mastermind and a revenge girl and not a fanatic unlike the rest#all the others are fanatics in one way or another. Zed is a fanatic. Osob is a fanatic (Osob is actually the only one who fits all of these#EXCEPT for the bony part (hes average but i suppose on the slightly thinner side) and i guess thats because hes not supposed to#feel TOO dangerous? plus hes dressed from head to toe i havent exactly thought about his body type). 'Osob' is a fanatic.#Dar is a fanatic. Adabdo is a fanatic in a way#i thought i escaped the whole deal when it came to Adabdo but you see red and wolf motif are already taken so i went with green#(her/his vallaslin) and plants/thorns because well. s/he does have a mythal vallaslin. which is deeply ironic because s/hes a thorn and not#a tree. which is the vallaslin of elgar'nan (and i probably spelled that wrong)#and uh since wolf motif is like. a thing in this game. i went with elks. because of chronic wasting disease. and antlers are sharp#and kinda creepy. and the velvet on them sheds and coats you in red. and an elk will obliterate you.#i originally went with green because well the game does push you towards that colour and also haha the green of radiation. because Adabdo i#a deeply toxic life-threatening presence. s/he glows bright green and your skin peels right off your flesh and falls to the floor#but with the addition of the elk motif it also becomes nature-related. so. i have done it once again. why does this keep happening

Unpopular opinion = I hate how Sirius' last words to harry were 'nice one James ' in the movies. Ik a lot of people found that really emotional and touching and all of that but it never sat right with me. In the books Sirius' last words to harry were him asking harry to grab Neville and get tf out of the DoM. Sirius might hv occasionally seen harry as more of a friend than a son, but that was never the case when harry's safety was concerned. He would never have seen harry as duelling partner like he would have for James, rather he saw harry as his godson he had to make sure was safe. That line really cheapens Sirius' love for harry imo.
STRONGLY AGREE!!!
oh my god anon i cannot tell u how much it galls me that this scene exists because like u said, it completely undermines harry and sirius’ relationship. there’s literally only one point where sirius messed up w harry and even that speaks more to his own mental state than any kind of projection on harry imo. every other time, he’s literally always kept harry (and his safety) at the top of his priority list. we have so much evidence for that. and yet the movies just. not just disregarded it but also fully reversed it. ughhhhhhhhhh it’s so annoying
#sirius black#harry potter#good godfather sirius black#the movies already removed most of their interactions#and the. this on top#ofc people would remember the explosive line#instead of remus guilt tripping harry with his dead parents#(sorry i’m bitter ignore that)#like yes they gave us sirius naked in a velvet (?) (or was it fur idk) coat#but the trade off is NOT worth it lbr#not if it spawned a bunch of fans who took that line and ran with it to degrade sirius#‘oh he thought harry was james anyway’ NO HE NEVER DID THAT#there can only be one james and he was very clear about that#pen’s asks
