LightTree Table Lamp (2 versions) + Spell paper
This is a LightTree table lamp. Hope you enjoy this one! 💗
From unknown source this lamp with a natural tree shape, emits a magical light that will not go out unless you say the magic words. The paper with spell is sold separately - good luck!
(All items are for sale exclusively at the Glimmerbrook Magic Market, but we, the Sell Your Sould for Something Supernatural For-Profit Association, will ship it to your door.) 🟡🌳
Short brief when this post is published: I still have my computer with problems and reinstalling Windows myself, because the problem persists and otherwise I would have to pay about $63 just to factory reset it. Wish me luck! So I'm still a bit disconnected from social media. Thanks for your continuous support and I'm sorry for not being able to be here so much lately. I hope that this week will be the definitive one, because if the factory setting doesn't work the next step will be to change the tower and it would be an extra expense that I don't know if can afford.

So you want to be a BBU writer...
Congratulations, you are one. The idea of the shared BBU multiverse is, that all takes at the core concepts are valid; there is no canon, and the same time, everything can be canon for your story!
Is there something everyone agrees on?
Probably not; but here are some things I consider widely accepted/canon:
- The setting is dystopian, somewhere between present and near future; in a society similar to ours but with (even) more power in the hands of corporations.
- In several countries, there is a "pet industry", a legalised concept of serfdom/ slavery that allows to own other humans as so called pets, (usually) in a household.
- The term "Pet" is more focused on the ownership and companionship aspects; in most BBU stories the pets are considered less than free people, but aren't actually treated like animals.
- The law states that these people have signed up voluntarily and have been compensated for it. Sometimes though, rich people or corporations go against the law.
- The whole process, from signing up to marketing and sales is in the hands of influential corporations
- Biggest of these, usually, is WRU; there is no canon on what the letters stand for. (It was a tumblr inside joke that makes absolutely no sense in-universe, but the acronym stuck). Some writers create other companies with different methods or focus.
- Pets are classified according to 'designations'; at the core there are Domestics (household chores), Platonics (companionship, nannies, caretakers...) and Romantics (different sort of companionship, including... bedroom chores), plus combinations. Guard Dog (protection) has made it into many stories as a fourth designation. This isn't the limit, though; there are also writers with Object designations, more involved 'service' concepts, 'Chewtoys' and several more.
- Pets are identified by number codes, usually six digits, every writer has a different system behind them. As an abbreviation, handlers tend to use the last three digits. This number is also tattooed on them as a bar code, often on the wrist.
- Somewhere during the training process, trainees are made to forget their entire past and also certain skill sets that pets aren't meant to have. Owners can specify certain things they want to be erased or remembered. Usually, this is handwaved by writers; there's advanced drugs and neurological stimulation involved. The process and the drug administered for the memory loss is often referred to as "The Drip".
- Often, Pets are made illiterate to make them more dependent on their owners
- Often, Pets are made to wear collars and consider these "safe". There's a lot of themes around "safety" taught to pets to keep them contained.
- There are standardised sets of numbered positions the trainees are taught; extra positions can be added on request
- There are also a lot of memorised rules and phrases from training the pets are made to repeat and will sometimes in their everyday life
- Training involves all sort of torture, mostly psychological, drugs, isolation, shock collars and shock batons and serious gaslighting
- Often, training facilities are described as uniform and white and designed like mazes; trainees at facilities wear a 'uniform' of a white shirt and black shorts
- Pets are usually terrified of the memories of their training; including especially "white rooms"
- The term "Respect" spoken by a person with authority will make the pet fall to their knees instantly and await further instruction
- Pets are shipped in a box, which is the idea that spawned the whole universe; usually in a human sized crate with some accessories added. They're also called boxies, box boys/box babes/... because of that.
- Unwanted or stubborn pets are sent back to WRU for "refurb", trained again and sold with big discounts; it's used as a threat and most pets are horribly afraid of this
- In the outside world, there are movements to help runaway pets or even fight the system overall; usually called "pet lib"
- Pet lib runs safehouses where they take in runaways and work on deconditioning
There are more posts like this out these, some more extensive, some very similar; a very good one here. This is the set of things I consider most basic for my own writing, at least.
I've reblogged some more posts and discussions on @bbu-on-the-side as well, so feel free to look around, use whatever you like, and discard the rest.
Also, new (and old) BBU writers always feel free to tag @bbu-on-the-side should you ever do an intro. I'll share them there.
*Edit- I've also started an archive on established tropes and the existing writing for it, here!

Hi everyone! <3
Just posting a shop update on the tumblr side of things--
Currently, all orders that DO NOT include a Vash/Wolfwood standee pre-order are on their way! If your order contains a standee pre-order, it will ship out with all of your items when standees arrive. They are currently in production and I hope to have them by end of the month!
After those orders are shipped out, I will be opening my store one last time before the holidays! I will be printing as many cryptid tees as I can before then, and have ordered extra standees to put up for sale alongside them. If i have time, I will also print more cryptid posters and Black Is The Color. I do not expect to have time to print more tote bags before then. After the holiday madness is over, I'm hoping to start the new year with some new items and a thorough restock!

Trinkets, 66: Interesting baubles, semi magical objects and items touched by mystery.
A glass box, its clear panels leaded at the seams, its trio of locks glinting gold. Warm blue lights dance frantically inside it, seem to beat against the glass walls like trapped wings. The keys are nowhere to be found. Knowledgeable PC’s can identify it as fey made.
A Random Musical Instrument that always sounds like a Random Music instrument when played.
A vellum document folded and sealed with a red wax seal as ornate as any used by the nobility. If unsealed it is a formal invitation to the unnamed bearer and a small part of guests to the 60th birthday of a Chodo Contague, which is occurring 2d4+2 months from when the letter was found. Knowledgeable PC’s are aware that Congangue is a major crime boss of a largest city in the nearby country.
A blackened iron coffer that has seen better days. The coffer is locked and must be picked or smashed open. Inside are three cones of incense wrapped in sanctified, unholy cloth stitched with golden signs of Chaos.
A detailed sketch of a halfling maiden wielding an impressive sword.
A signed receipt slip from a black-market pawn shop including an evaluation for the item sold into hock. To the untrained eye, the receipt lists the sale of one plain silver ring for 2 gold pieces by Mary Goodwife at John’s Honest Pawnshop. The entire note is written in Cant, the language of thieves and mentions that interesting contraband can be purchased discreetly at John’s Honest Pawnshop to those coming in asking to buy Mary an engagement ring.
A heavy pleated kilt, whose green and red tartan pattern identifies it as being from the northern Kerr clan.
A glass jar with a large toadstool inside with a few smaller mushrooms around it. The jar is filled with some sort of viscous substance, completely submerging the mushrooms. A note glued to the glass claims that the contents to be the beginnings of Myconid birth, but assures viewers the sprout is "inert".
An unsent letter from a parent to their child congratulating them for their job as chef and finally revealing the secret family recipe to the kid.
A leather wallet stamped with the image of a merchant’s ship. It contains a high-quality forgery of a tax-exempt import / export license on goods produced by Random Artisan’s Tools. According to the paperwork, the bearer, up to three of his retinue and up to one ship or wagon can pass through any border, bridge, gate or city without paying any toll, tax or fee of passage or a tax on the goods so long as they were produced by those tools. The licence expires 5d10 months from the time it is originally found.
—Click Here to be directed to the Hotlinks To All Tables post, which provides (As you might have guessed) convenient links to all of the loot and resource tables this blog has.
—Note: The previous 10 items are repeated for easier rolling on a d100.

An old rose made from ash, carved with the Elven script for "Good".
A scorched brass horseshoe that was thrown from the hoof of a Nightmare, a type of fiendish equine named after the terrible dreams suffered by those that encountered them. The wicked creatures are best known for serving as mounts under a variety of malevolent beings throughout the Lower Planes.
A wheel of aged dwarven cheese, clad in beeswax.
A hand mirror made of silver, with ornaments of beautiful and long-haired androgyne faces covering the frame.
A one-gallon cask of Untergraad, a liquor made popular by students and modeled after the medical or scientific alcohol commonly pilfered from laboratories. It's often flavored with herbs and its alcohol content is both very high and incredibly constant. Drinks are usually poured to the proportionate weight of the imbiber. A skilled bartender can push an Untergraad drinker to the very edge of riotously drunk with a measured dose.
A rather drab-looking painted portrait set in a brightly shining metallic locket.
A crude effigy and shamanic heirloom from one of the hagtrees that grow deep in the forest.
A physical shard of blackest night said to be a prison for the partial essence of the Trickster himself. Any close to it may be undone by its troubling aura.
A scroll describing a dread spell that fills the foes' minds with their own worst nightmares.
A clear crystal broach of purest clarity whose core dances with whirling white specks like that of the fiercest blizzard.
An abhorrent lodestone from which a gnawing sense of wrongness emanates.
A military uniform, in white and sky-blue color, with a unicorn emblem.
An elegant dress with rich black silk back and sides and a deep purple velvet insert in the front creating a striking combination of fabrics. The solid half-sleeves have a beautiful floral pattern, tree-cornered lace that falls into a point of silver-thread piping.
A simple bamboo mouth-harp.
A leather wallet stamped with the symbol of a mortar and pestle. It contains a full set of certified identification papers denoting that the bearer is a member of the healer’s guild. The section containing the member's physical description (Height, weight, sex, race, eye, skin and hair color) is completely blank and could be filled in by anyone with half decent handwriting.
A hair clip made from a mermaid’s scales along with a piece of coral.
A wooden doll depicting a man, possibly from a Stone Age culture, carved with a spear in his hand, his waist adorned with braided sinew as a belt of sorts.
A silver flask midway full of a strong and harsh brew of ale.
A mesmerizing crystal that pulsates with an otherworldly energy, resonating with alien life force, casting haunting reflections within its crystalline structure.
A wrought iron bottle filled with a plant based supernatural libation known a Zozo Juice. It is a fiery red drink with thick orange bubbles that almost makes it appear molten in nature. Although it is technically an ale, its more like coagulated blood considering how thick it is. Bubbles crawl slowly to the surface through its sanguine blood-like depths. It is an extremely spicy drink that makes it almost unbearable to consume.
A pickled kobold fetus in a jar that occasionally twitches when the light gets too bright.
A crude set of glass wind chimes that faintly hums in starlight.
A dwarven hunk of flint carved with a short prophecy.
A clockwork sphere with iron wings. At center is nut-sized storage hole.
A collection of fourteen perfectly spherical steel balls. When held in close proximity to each other, they snap together into a cube by themselves. If one ball is removed from the cube, they collapse back into a pile.
A carpet that depicts a map of the heavens, showing many different, colorful constellations and whirling planets, woven in thick, richly dyed wool.
A tall, thin sculpture of a sort of squashed-in horse, carved out of translucent stone.
A rowan wand, charged with the first circle of seven marks for binding.
A big copper key that looks like it has been lying around turning green for a couple hundred years. It is six inches long may be the heaviest key ever hefted. It is squared off flat on the sides and Investigative PC's can discover an inscription under the verdigris that when scrapped at reads; “Random Motto”.
A silver bracelet with dozens of small charms hanging from it. The charms represent various symbols of luck and fortune from different religions, cultures, and traditions.
A hat made of soft felt and adorned with small branches, flowers and butterflies that change color with the seasons. It was crafted by a fey artisan as a gift for a mortal friend.
A wooden crate full of human hands of all shapes, sizes and colors and all of them are remarkably preserved and in near perfect condition. Some of them have perforations where the cut is.
A thin sheet of ironoak on which is sketched a charcoal drawing of a child wearing fabulous clothes and draped with jewels. Dangling from one corner, a handful of tiny iron charms dangling from copper chains, three missing.
A brilliant blue mug beset with scores of tiny gems in a fractal depiction of riches raining from a pearl moon. The surface of the glazed and fired clay is polished to a mirror sheen.
A marble statuette featuring a sea eagle rising from the waves, its eyes inlaid with bronze flames, its talons blood stained.
A willow-woven tablet secures a bas relief of kingdom soldiers huddled around a dirt map, conversing and holding their weapons. In flickering light, it hums softly, like a distant conversation barely heard.
A frivolously thin linen jacket sewn with iron studs in the shape of saffron stems, slightly rusty. It smells strongly of the depicted herb. While worn, the wearer finds themselves extremely clear minded, regardless of their physical condition or alchemical impairment; this clarity does not extend to control over their body’s functions.
An ash-gray shawl whose fringes wave and flicker like living fire, warm to the touch.
A rich green linen tunic embroidered with a massive golden peppermint, the flowers made of threaded silver. It fills the air with the same smell, always fresh.
A thin chain made of alternating links of gold and silver and features a bloody daffodil wrought from rose gold.
A bronze brooch engraved with a pair of sandals, their straps broken and trailing. They hum excitedly when not in motion.
A thickly padded shirt featuring a stylized blackberry bramble; the berries at the hems are sewn with tarnished silver thread.
A feastbowl carved from a single piece of marble, edged in faces which on inspection always seem to be people the viewer knows and cares for.
A silk ribbon stitched with gold and silver thread in stanzas of a poem about dying wealthy.
The Winter Aristocrat’s Dinner: A framed painting of a thin, beautiful, long-haired person eating a luxurious feast alone at a table in the snow that is, at first glance, a wonder. Closer inspection shows shadowy figures shivering at the edges in the dark, left out. Whatever figures were once painted there are covered now by a soft, porous mold that peels away easily but seems endless.
An azure-lacquered tablet that has a moon-bent tree made from polished ironoak laid into its face, the roots of which entangle each other and protrude from the tablet to end in small spikes.
A deep purple linen shirt sewn with extraordinarily thin iron wire in the shape of a cloud-shrouded moon over the right breast. Between the wires grows a pale green mold, clinging to the shirt in flaky outgrowths. The wearer can always see the moon’s outline, no matter what it is hidden behind. In moonlight, the mold grows noticeably.
A tin brooch shaped like a lightning-struck tree, with a dozen forks of lightning made from carefully inlaid porcelain, some of them broken.
A small porcelain thimble chased in scarlet and has a crimson silk slip cover. The markings on the thimble itself are minute and depict a cheerful but strained proprietor hawking various wares from a cart.
A handtruck featuring a thick bronze pry at the base of a long ironoak handle with two stubby wheels. Tiny iron charms in the shape of hearts dangle from the spokes of each wheel.
An archaic keepsake box with trinkets from a commoner from a forgotten era. Although these items may have some cultural significance, the items contained in the box are generally commonplace for that era. It does signal that other potentially more valuable artifacts from this era may be in the vicinity.
A beautifully crafted urn that, if broken, releases a vengeful spirit
A writ of freedom for years of indentured servitude paid off.
A tear stained map of the local cemetery with an “X” marking a specific grave.
A letter from family thanking the recipient for the money they've been sending, but ma isn't getting better so they should come home to see her soon.
A child's toy and a note in childish writing "so u arnt lonly" with it.
A polished black lacquer music box, with a picture of a migratory duck on the lid and an inscription inside that reads, "Home is Wherever I'm With You." The mechanism plays a nasty dissonant tune.
A seemingly unremarkable stone that emits a soothing, melodious hum when rubbed, but only those with a pure heart can hear the hidden harmonies that convey ancient wisdom.
A letter with the following written inside "we only need 300 more gold until we can bring her back and live peacefully once again as a family".
A veil with delicate, hand-painted patterns that shift and transform over time, subtly mirroring the emotions and experiences of the wearer, revealing a narrative of their life's journey.
A long thick staff-like musical instrument made of multiple joined rattlesnake rattlers that functions like a rain stick.
A bottle of cheap rotgut booze, only a quarter of it remains.
A wooden hand with articulating fingers. You can't tell if it's a mannequin hand to be used by artist, or a prosthetic. Every time you look away, it seems like the fingers slightly change position.
An antique hookah that looks recently used.
An armband made from vampirized human flesh, bone, and small hematite stones.
A pewter belt buckle with a symbol of a grinning face.
A nearly translucent roll of old parchment.
A large, intricately carved stone bowl filled with a thick, red liquid that smells like copper and rotten meat. The bowl is etched with strange, serpentine symbols and is supported by a trio of coiled serpent legs.
A simple and unassuming clay and bamboo, free-reed aerophone resembling a cross between an ocarina, a harmonica, and a pipe organ. The khaen covers four octaves, in a diatonic scale.
A whistle shaped like a wooden bird.
A velvet pouch filled with brilliant blue sand.
A turtle shell bowl polished to a beautiful shine.
A talisman displaying the symbol of a prominent noble house.
A collection of sandstone tablets filled with strange symbols. If translated, the tablets discuss the coming of a great serpent god. A thousand and one souls must be sacrificed in the name of the great serpent in order for it to manifest in the material plane.
A fishing hook made from ivory and studded with red beads.
A bound cluster of porcupine needles in a bag.
A silver fork with a crescent moon engraved onto the handle.
A single stone and wire earring that hums a faint, relaxing tune.
A clay urn the size of a fist that is covered in undecipherable writing.
A small copper frog statuette.
A small holy symbol of an exotic xenian cult dedicated to Random Domain.
A small flute carved from unfamiliar wood, giving it an unusual sound when played.
An occult mask that covers both the face and the head. It consists of a crown made to look like gold, but fake, and a veil made of heavy leather with holes for the eyes.
A mask of white porcelain with high, dramatic cheekbones and striking, red painted brows.
An acorn-sized seed with a green and orange swirled pattern. Knowledgeable PC’s can determine that it originated from the Feywild but aren’t sure what it will grow into.
A rod of whittled-down, bloody dragonhorn that has been scrimshawed with blasphemous prayers to the Archfiend of Random Evil Domain.
A bundle of unopened correspondence of a prominent politician.
A burnished copper coin that bears the crest of a forgotten kingdom.
A one-gallon cask labelled “Skullbungle”, bearing the design of an exploding grinning skull on the top lid. This jet-black drink swirls with red highlights and is made by distilling strong dwarven spirits through a mash made of hallucinogenic mushrooms and powerful chillies. Staggeringly strong and harsh yet incredibly tasty. Imbibing the drink often produces soothing hallucinations, making this a popular drink among the downtrodden as well.
A leather wallet stamped with the symbol of a wagon wheel. It contains a full set of certified identification papers denoting that the bearer is a member of the wagon-makers and wheelwrights guild. The section containing the member's physical description (Height, weight, sex, race, eye, skin and hair colour) is completely blank and could be filled in by anyone with half decent handwriting.

Boxing Day
The best way to celebrate the day is to take part in festivities in a country where Boxing Day is a bank holiday or public holiday. Watch some soccer, rugby, or cricket games, or go on a traditional fox hunt. If you can’t be in a country where these events are taking place, you could still get together with family and friends and eat leftovers from Christmas, or make some foods traditionally eaten on Boxing Day. You could also go shopping, as this is another important part of the day in many countries.
Boxing Day takes place the day after Christmas and is primarily observed in the United Kingdom, where it started, as well as in countries that were once part of the British crown. There are a few possible theories as to how it got started, but its exact origin is unclear.
One theory says it was inspired by Christmas boxes. In seventeenth-century Great Britain, boxes holding a present or gratuity were given to tradesman and workers in service industries for their previous year’s work. This went back to an even earlier tradition where servants would wait on and serve their rich masters on Christmas Day and would visit and celebrate with their own families on the day after Christmas. Their rich masters would sometimes give them a box with leftover food, a bonus, or another type of gift.
The day may have also stemmed from alms boxes that were put in Anglican churches on Christmas Day or during Advent and opened on the day after Christmas. These boxes collected money for the poor. Similarly, boxes were put outside of churches to collect money on Saint Stephen’s Day, which is held the day after Christmas. The events in the song “Good King Wenceslas” take place on Saint Stephen’s Day. The song recounts a story of King Wenceslas, a Bohemian king of the tenth century, bringing food and wine to a poor man. There is one other possible source for the beginning of the day. Ships once set sail containing a box of money for good luck. If the trip was a success, the box would be given to a priest, and he would open it on Christmas and give its contents to the poor.
Boxing Day has been a bank holiday in England, Wales, North Ireland, and Canada since 1871. It is celebrated in Australia, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria. It is celebrated in Hong Kong, where the United Kingdom held sovereignty until 1997. In Ireland and in parts of Spain, it is known as Saint Stephen’s Day. It is celebrated as Second Christmas Day in some European countries, such as Poland, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands; it is celebrated as such in Scandinavia as well. Boxing Day is generally not celebrated in the United States.
In some countries where it is celebrated as a bank holiday or public holiday, it is observed a day or two after December 26. If December 26 takes place on a Saturday, it may be observed the following Monday. If December 26 is on a Sunday, it may be observed on the following Tuesday. This is not always the case, however, as it is often observed on a Sunday if it falls on a Sunday.
Boxing Day is a day of the gathering of family and friends. Leftovers from Christmas are commonly eaten. Popular foods include baked ham, mince pies, Christmas cakes, and other desserts. In many countries of celebration, it is a shopping day similar to Black Friday. Sales take place and many retailers run them the whole week. Although, in some places, such as in parts of Canada, stores aren’t allowed to be open, in order to give families time to be together instead.
Sports are an important part of Boxing Day. In the United Kingdom, the top football (soccer) leagues of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland play games. Lower leagues play games as well, and rugby leagues also hold matches. In various countries, events of other sports, such as cricket, horse racing, yacht racing, hockey, and boxing are often held to celebrate the day. Fun runs and swims in the cold English Channel take place. Fox hunting meets have been held for hundreds of years. A law passed in 2004, which went into effect the following year, banned the use of dogs to attack animals during hunts. But hunters have still used their dogs to chase artificial scents on the day, and have still gone on hunts where dogs are used to flush out foxes, but not to attack them.
Boxing Day, also known as Saint Stephen’s Day and Second Christmas Day, is being observed today! It has always been observed annually on December 26th.

Love =>< Love is a piece with repurposed materials
Materials
Sheet of plastic +- A3 which used to be in a photo frame: Imprint Love Love in pink
Another sheet with orange and red flowers which was already wrinkled
Cardboard pieces of a coolblue box
Paper tea bags
a piece of cord
charcoal
a receipt
gel medium
black paint
water
a wood burn stamp
glue
Meaning
It's a piece meant to represent struggle, tears , uneven playfield, rage, depression… and cheekiness, hidden meaning, layers in the literal and figurative sense.
It mostly represents my own journey of liberty, freedom to do as you please, freedom to express emotions, freedom to be, freedom to love or not love, to make our own choices. As simple as these seem, mentally I have had limited freedoms, limited by beliefs, stereotypes, ideals and roles that are imposed.
The struggle is portrayed in the ripping of the paper and chaotically placing it all over the artwork. It could also be perceived in the piece of cord. It has light and black parts representing illness or mental illness versus life that falls lightly. Even the burning of the edges of the thin paper represents struggle and internal pain. The darkness represents the heaviness of feelings. In this piece the darkness is clearly portrayed and not hidden to show it to the world. It’s not sugar coated, actually quite the opposite as the canvas is sprinkled with salt. Salt is known to keep safe, and is sprinkled to protect the subject of the feelings of further harm. The uneven structure of the cardboard is highlighted in black charcoal to better show it. This piece is all about telling, showing, not hiding. Yet the layers and black do conceal some of the work. It represents the freedom to feel and to heal. In our society, feeling bad feelings is not yet widely accepted, it is deemed uncomfortable for the other person to see you struggle with ‘bad feelings’. There are no bad feelings. Once felt they melt away so hiding them has no use but to keep someone else comforted. The colors in this work are familiar to those who know. Soft pink, orange and red are significant markers of the freedom to love. They also give the piece a soft feminine vibe amongst the harsh black and still abundant white and cream. The teabags represent cheekiness. The yellow gives them a happy touch. Some of the words are still readable. "Partagez ce avec", "for everyone", enjoy", "rgy". Of course they also represent what's wrong with our world, our history and what contributes to our mental health. The wealthy enjoy their tea while it's harvested with a tremendous amount of labor and shipped across the world in containers. Our comfort is created by the work of others. Our luxury is someone else’s misery. To reinforce that, the label of the shipped box is visible. Postmen are also known to work on a killing schedule while other people enjoy having their goods delivered to their doorstep. The handwritten receipt is reminiscent of old times, but also reinforces that message that money is everywhere. The receipt might also signify deception. Nowadays all receipts are typed out, to keep track of sales for government taxes. Is this a sign of tax fraud? Who is hit the hardest by tax fraud? The other workers who miss out on benefits because of it? Or the ones inning taxes? Are honest people at a disadvantage because of it? One thing is certain, we are all at a disadvantage when the ones with big incomes don't pay taxes. Wealth is distributed unevenly, people aren’t able to afford a comfortable living anymore. Were we ever? Are we too dangerous to the ruling power when we could? Actual freedoms seem to disappear worldwide. Mental freedoms become more important? Love is one of those, love comes in many forms. Friends, lovers, community, pets (weird way to handle animals, they are caged and not there in free will, even though I have a cat). Pets signify or need to control everything as humans. We are afraid of how unhinged things would be if they roam freely. Same goes for humans, the ruling class is afraid of how free we would be and how we wouldnt give a fuck about them and they would lose control.
This work is subconsciously influenced by the collage classes in my painting class, the unhinged tv show I saw yesterday wie zoekt die wint, and the abstract work of some of my painting friends and coworkers/ co-artists like Lluis salvador sanchez, Han coussement, Joke derycke and examples in the painting classes. And probably more given the subconscious part.
The title love =>< love could be a reference to the love is love queer slogan. But the >< signs also imply a clash. I interpret this in a way that hetero love is portrayed everywhere but once there’s a drop of queer love visible, it is a problem for some, and the abundant love all of a sudden needs to shrink.

Is CBD Oil Safe and Worth Your Money?
A medical cannabis expert weeds the hype from the truth about the herbal cure for pain, depression, anxiety and insomnia.
You can’t turn on a daytime TV program or flip open a lifestyle magazine without hearing or reading about CBD, short for cannabidiol. It’s the biggest buzzword in holistic health news, and statistically speaking, it is expected to reach around 1.8 billion dollars in U.S. consumer sales by 2022, a whopping increase from around half a billion dollars in 2018.
What exactly is CBD?
CBD is the non-intoxicating component of the cannabis sativa plant. Cannabis plants can either be classified as hemp or marijuana depending on the quantity or percentage of THC in either plant. This distinction was established by the FDA: Cannabis plants with 0.3 percent or less of THC are considered hemp and those with more that 0.3 percent are consider marijuana.
So in a nutshell, CBD that is derived from hemp will not make you high. You should also ask your primary physician about using CBD while taking medications.
Kisha Vanterpool, medical director of Medicinally Jointed, a medical cannabis spa and alternate health practice located in South Philadelphia, says the biggest misconception her patients have is understanding the difference between CBD and THC.
“Some associate CBD solely with cannabis (marijuana) which carries its own stigma of being used to attain a high,” the board-certified internist explains. “But really, cannabis is an herbal medicine that has many benefits. Through educating my patients around the plant as medicine and how it interacts within our bodies, patients then become more open to its use.”
What is CBD used for?
Studies show consumers are using CBD — sold in oils, lotions, balms, bath salts, coffee, oral sprays and gummies — as a specific therapy for pain, anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. Depending on the product, prices range from $20 to $100.
Nira Hyman turned to CBD three years ago to help manage chronic back pain and joint inflammation she’s endured for about 15 years. The 46-year-old was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, a type of rheumatoid arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis, which affects the spine.
“Chronic pain is quite isolating, so I’m open to trying almost anything. My research led me to THC, then to CBD. It helps mute the pain. It’s still there, but the volume of the pain is dialed down. CBD doesn’t manage my pain on its own, but using that along with other stuff on my regimen can make a difference,” she says.
“Most of what I use is handmade. It’s expensive but worth it. Friends ship balms or soaks to me. And yes, the sellers are Black. I believe strongly that Black women belong in the cannabis industry, so the louder our voices the better.”
The Brooklyn, New York, native also uses CBD to alleviate anxiety. “It may be a placebo effect, but I do feel it helps my anxiety. And I prefer using something that’s natural and naturally medicinal. I’d much rather take CBD — and I do use high doses — than opioids. My doctors agree, off the record,” says Hyman.
Vanterpool recommends CBD to her female patients to help them with anxiety, insomnia, hot flashes, menstrual cramps, endometriosis and other chronic pain. When shopping for CBD products, she suggests consumers research the product “to ensure that it truly contains CBD and has been tested for contaminants such as pesticides, bacteria and fungus/mold.”
Is CBD FDA-regulated?
Not currently. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently published a consumer update on its website (FDA.gov) that addresses the claims that cannabinoid (CBD) is a cure-all, risk-free miracle drug.
Although the FDA is presently gathering data from health professionals, cannabis industry representatives and patients to learn more about the efficacy of CBD, the agency wrote, "there are many unanswered questions about the science, safety and quality of products containing CBD.”
Where can I find CBD products in my area, and is it legal in all fifty states?
Remember the 69-year-old grandmother from North Carolina who was arrested at Disney World for packing CBD oil in her purse?
Federal law says CBD oil products are legal to possess if they contain no more than 0.3 percent THC, and CBD products are readily available online. Do your research to find products that are safe, effective and legal. Consumerreports.org has an informative guide. Be aware, however, that some states like Florida, Ohio and Texas generally don’t differentiate hemp from marijuana. So before you purchase or travel with CBD, check the state laws.

Does the O'Rahilly translation contain both recensions in one Volume or are they sold separately? I've been looking around for em for a while but haven't pulled the trigger yet because I can't figure if I'm supposed to buy both or just one.
they're published separately. recension 1 (1976) is published as "táin bó cúailnge: recension 1", and contains the edited irish text and the translation. book of leinster (1967) is published as "táin bó cúalnge from the book of leinster" and contains the edited irish text and the translation, with a slightly more detailed introduction. stowe (1961) is published as "the stowe version of táin bó cúailnge" and contains only the edited irish text, a select glossary, and an introduction; there is no translation in this text.
(o'rahilly did not edit r3, r3 is incredibly fragmentary and has been edited half by nettlau and half by thurneysen in two different academic journals, these are online somewhere i think. you don't need to bother with r3 99% of the time, most academics generally forget it exists / don't include it in discussions because there's not really enough of it to sustain arguments a lot of the time, unless you're looking at something really specific that happens to show up in those fragments!)
both recension 1 and book of leinster are available to read on CELT, in irish and in english, so if it's purely for reading purposes, that's super useful. but for line numbers and stuff the physical copies come in handy (and for aesthetics).
whether you get just one or all of them really depends on what you want. i bought recension 1 first because it was in their black friday sale a few years ago and i could get it cheaply, and that was useful, but for the work i was doing at the time i wanted the book of leinster version, so i acquired that one a couple of months later. i didn't bother buying stowe because of the lack of translation, until i was doing work that required translating parts of stowe and figured it would be easier if i had my own copy -- i'd photocopied some pages from the library but it wasn't really cutting it, especially as i wanted to flip back and forth to the glossary
if you aren't in a position to work directly with 15th century irish (most people aren't) then there is no point buying stowe, frankly. but whether you want both of the others or just one is up to you! most people think the book of leinster text is "better" -- the redactors smooth out the story, get rid of a lot of the continuity errors (not all of them), and make it more of a continuous narrative, plus it has the extended 'comrac fir diad' episode with the 4-day fight, compared to r1's 1-day fight. so if you want a readable narrative and/or are focused on ferdia etc, i'd go for book of leinster in the first instance. however, r1 has slightly more supernatural/otherworldly stuff, with marginally more emphasis on the role of the morrígan and lug, since book of leinster really understates those elements. so if that's your interest, you want r1.
but if you're having to pay big shipping costs to buy them from ireland then to some extent you might as well get them both at once if your budget will stretch to it lol. it definitely changes your perspective on the story to start engaging with it on the recension level and understand how the priorities and emphasis shift from one version to another, it really disrupts your thinking of it as a set narrative and lets you see it as something much more complex and fluid, which it is
when i first started working with recensions i hated it but now it's like the first thing i do when i'm interested in a new strand of it, is go see how each version tackles that strand
as i say though, you can read o'rahilly's translations of r1 and LL on CELT, so if it's purely reading you want, you do not need to spend €35/€70 on buying one/both of them unless you wish to!

Online Outlet Shopping Tips
Shopping at online clothing outlets can be a great way to find high-quality products at reduced prices. Many shoppers are turning to clothing outlet stores as an alternative to paying full price for the latest styles. Whether you're looking for everyday wear or something special, the tips below will help you get the most out of your online outlet shopping experience.
Research and Compare Prices
Before making a purchase at any clothing outlet, it's a good idea to compare prices across different websites. Just because you're shopping at a clothing outlet doesn’t always mean you're getting the best deal available. There are times when regular online retailers offer discounts or promotions that match or even beat outlet pricing.
Make sure you’re using tools or apps that allow you to compare prices easily. You can install browser extensions that will notify you if a product is available for less elsewhere. Take your time, check multiple sites, and avoid impulse buys. Patience often leads to bigger savings.
Be Aware of Outlet-Specific Merchandise
Not all products sold in clothing outlet stores are from regular retail stores. Some brands produce items specifically for outlets, and while these can still be good deals, they may differ slightly in quality or design. Understanding this can help set your expectations when buying from an outlet. Always read the product descriptions carefully, so you know exactly what you’re buying.
Sign Up for Newsletters and Alerts
If you have favorite clothing outlet stores, consider signing up for their newsletters. These newsletters often contain exclusive discounts, promotional offers, and notifications about upcoming sales. Some outlets offer early access to sales or special discounts for subscribers. By staying on top of these announcements, you can be among the first to know about deals before they sell out.
Additionally, following clothing outlet stores on social media can also be beneficial. Retailers sometimes post limited-time promotions on their social accounts that aren’t listed on the website.
Take Advantage of Seasonal Sales
One of the best times to shop at clothing outlets is during seasonal sales or clearance events. Most outlets hold large sales during holidays or at the end of each season to make room for new inventory. During these times, you can find even deeper discounts on already marked-down products.
Pay attention to major shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and end-of-summer or winter sales. Clothing outlet stores often offer special deals and extra discounts during these events, allowing you to score high-quality items at a fraction of the cost.
Understand Return Policies
Before purchasing, always check the return policy of the clothing outlet you're buying from. Outlet stores can have different return policies than their full-priced counterparts, and some items may be marked as final sale. Understanding the store's return and exchange policy upfront will prevent any surprises if the item doesn’t fit or meet your expectations.
Be especially mindful of return shipping fees. Some clothing outlets charge a fee for return shipping, which can eat into the savings you thought you were getting. Look for retailers that offer free returns or exchanges to ensure that you can easily return items if necessary.
Check for Reviews and Sizing Guides
One of the challenges of shopping for clothes online is determining the right size. Different brands and styles may fit differently, even within the same store. That’s why it’s important to check sizing guides provided by the outlet store and look at customer reviews for insights on how true to size the clothing runs.
Reading reviews can also help you assess the quality of the clothing. Previous customers often share if an item is worth buying, how it holds up after washing, and if it meets their expectations. A quick glance at reviews can save you time and money in the long run.
Conclusion
Shopping at online clothing outlets can be a rewarding way to save money on fashion. By following these tips—researching prices, staying informed about sales, checking return policies, and using loyalty programs—you can make the most of your shopping experience. Remember to compare prices and read reviews before making any final purchases, and always look out for extra coupons or seasonal deals. With the right approach, you can find great clothing at fantastic prices without ever having to step foot in a store.
