Favourite non animated Bsd moment is during the Guild arc when Atsushi's being chased through the streets while Mark Twain is trying to shoot him.

Atsushi rushes over to save a baby from falling into a crevice and in a panic hands the baby to a very confused Tachihara.

Tachihara yells at Atsushi and than pauses to tell said crying baby that no I'm not yelling at you.

Gin and Hirotsu walk over wondering how Tachihara's getting on with the battle. They both see the baby and Gin writes "congratulations" on the ground with her sword.

Tachihara is just like really? You think I look like some proud dad with his new born?!

Than Higuchi shows up and asks if she should take a photo, so apparently she also thought Tachihara had a child???

The baby is returned to its mother by presumably Higuchi since she's talking to her in the corner.

Meanwhile Hirotsu, Gin and Tachihara are all sat on the floor hanging there heads while Chuuya scolds them for saving the baby.

"Do I need to remind you which group you belong too?"

It's chapter 29 of the manga it's hilarious.

Also bold words from Chuuya considering in Bsd Wan (chapter 14) he saw an old lady struggling to carry something and ended up helping her with his ability.

After failing to convince himself not too because he's a Port Mafia executive... And than Atsushi saw him said hey you're pretty nice and Chuuya was like no no you're misreading the whole thing!

Threatens Atsushi not to tell anyone especially Dazai... And than the old lady turned out to be Dazai in disguise.

Man Atsushi really do be showing how kind Port Mafia members can be.

the port mafia have to rethink their perception of the hunting dogs after being told that tachihara is one. because i imagine that the hunting dogs are publicly known as these inhuman, untouchable public servants, stronger than full armies, and veery mysterious overall.

but they've seen tachihara mess up cooking dumplings, become a teen parent of an abandoned child during Q's rampage, whine about a clean bullet wound while in the infirmary, etc. They know him - know, know him. So there's a conflict in mind of connecting the powerful hunting dog to their silly nineteen-year-old co-worker who can also shoot twenty people dead in five minutes.

People will defend Dazai's relationship with Akutagawa as if they have some deep, galaxy brain understanding of Dazai's character and we're the dumb ones for going, "um, no, fuck that."

Like, I'm sorry, were your eyes closed to Dazai's words in the dungeon scene? Were you sleeping during the Moby Dick phone call? Conveniently deaf during his conversation with Hirotsu? Did you miss the manipulation in the Cannibalism arc, too? Did you think he called Akutagawa to the place where they first met because he was feeling fucking nostalgic???

Notice how I don't even have to reference the abuse in the Mafia to show that Dazai is the greatest fucking dick in this show???

Just a post abt Hirotsu being a protective and caring father figure for Tachihara

He genuinely believes in Tachihara. Keep in mind that this was about a page after we actively see him realize Tachihara was a hunting dog. He’s very good at not letting Tachihara get in his head and doubt himself.

He doesn’t order Tachihara in this moment. Fukuchi ofc cares about Tachihara, but he also places his goal of world peace above all. The hunting dogs, including himself, are disposable at the end of the day. They’re the personification of justice. They’re slaves, human weapons, and a multitude of other things they’ve been called. Mori also orders Tachihara to fight Fukuchi while he’s clearly vulnerable. Hirotsu could so easily tell him that as a member of the mafia, he should know better. But he poses it as a question, allowing Tachihara to choose for himself. Whether Mori or Fukuchi, someone is always choosing Tachihara’s path for him.

He doesn’t let Tachihara shut himself in. He knows that Tachihara won’t ask for things he wants or do things for himself, but refuses to let him not do them. In Tachihara’s POV of the event, he thinks that Hirotsu just wanted someone to go drinking, but it’s obvious that that’s not the case. I couldn’t add any more photos, but in Chuuya’s side story, he mentions that he could tell Tachihara enjoyed himself, even if he was frowning.

He frequently checks on Tachihara. In the official translation (which I own but don’t have a good photo of), the line is ‘that’s what’s most important’.

This painful scene. Tachihara rushes towards him and he tells him to run. With no hesitation. He uses his ability to push him away. It’s a reckless gamble, considering that it was enough force to knock off heavy warehouse doors, but he used his last moments of lucidity to save Tachihara.

There’s so many more panels I could add (including the cafe mayoi cards where Hirotsu gives him so much free food, the mayoi card where they play a card game, the one where they’re painting a building…and also beast, where they’re still standing together), but photo limit strikes again. Anyway Tachihara deserves all the found families and I love how much Hirotsu cares abt him and tries to protect him.

PS all I’m saying is, Mori didn’t dare summon him alone in a dark room and pat his head when Hirotsu was there.

Thinking about Tachihara in the Port Mafia who hides his injuries behind nonchalance. And than bandages his wounds in his flat alone.

No matter how bad they are. Tachihara never gets medical attention. He tells himself its too keep his cover but all his scars are hidden.

Like the government would let their shiny new toy have so much as a scratch. (He tries not to think about how pissed they'll be because he's definitely got scars from these fights.)

"Tachihara, stop you're going to aggravate your wounds" snapped Akutugawa, hiding his own concern.

"I'm fine big bro, a little stab never hurt anyone." Said Tachihara, a lazy smile on his face.

Like this was any other day and he wasn't currently being held up by Hirotsu and Gin. A hand pressing against said wound.

"I called the nearest medics, they're prepared for our arrival." Said Higuchi, rushing back over to join them all. Akutugawa nods in acknowledgement, about to rely the news.

And pauses seeing the look on Tachihara's face. His smile is gone and he shuffles away from a now concerned Hirotsu and Gin.

"No... No..." He shakes his head, growing pale and it had nothing to do with the wound.

"Kid, it's okay." Hirotsu's calm words don't reach him. Tachihara shakes his head, more aggressively this time. "No... No... You can't, I won't... It's not time... You can't make me."

They all guessed Tachihara was afraid of hospitals given his aversion to them. But this... This pure terror.

Gin thinks back to when the Boss has his scalpel out. How Tachihara looks like he's listening, but his gaze seems to lock onto it.

As if it were a gun pointed at him.

Gin frowns, exchanging a look with her brother, Higuchi and Hirotsu. A silent conversation seems to pass through them all.

Something that only works because of how close they are. "Okay" Says Hirotsu, his voice not wavering from it's calm.

Tachihara looks up at at him, confusion breaking through the panic.

"I'll get the equipment delivered, we're not too far from the nearest safe house" Said Higuchi, Akutugawa nods. "I'll intercept it with you, call the team."

He faces Tachihara "no hospital" he says clearly and carefully. The look Tachihara gives him makes Akutugawa want to kill someone.

Because no one, no one should look that afraid and hopeful at not being given professional aid.

Some medical personal must've hurt Tachihara. And by the looks of him, it wasn't just once.

Akutagawa can see the anger in everyone else. Higuchi's grip on her phone tightens, there's a darkness to Hirotsu's eyes.

And for but a second Gin looks downright murderous before silently comforting Tachihara.

"No... No hospitals" repeats Tachihara, he looks so utterly small and frail. He nods slowly, letting himself lean against Hirotsu.

Hirotsu who holds him just that bit closer and firmer. "No hospitals" repeats Hirotsu, gently guiding him and Gin to the safe house.

Higuchi calls, Akutugawa gives some very encouraging threats. And before they know it Tachihara has been bandaged up and is snoozing peacefully.

Using Akutugawa's coat as a blanket.

The stabber would get whats coming to them. As would the one who instilled such a fear in Tachihara. No one hurt one of they're own and got away with it.
