I think depictions of Anya being cruel to Curly or drawing out his suffering are artful and chilling but completely miss the point of the story and her character.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve to have that "I told you so" moment with him but not in something callous or cold. Even if that is how it happened, she'd immediately feel guilty cause at that point she's not tormenting her tormenter or even the person truly at fault. She's doing something cathartic, similar to how Jimmy likely hits Curly to release rage he can't against the rest of the crew. She'd see herself as no different when she'd come back from the moment and see Curly cowering at her. She wants someone to take responsibility but how does being cruel to the defenseless help? Why would she want the power Jimmy has over her over Curly?

The idea of her extending someone else's pain is just so against the struggles she already faces and how she can't even bring herself to cause someone pain even to help them. Her very desire is to release herself from her own suffering and I doubt she'd even fine some sort of guilty release in being cruel to another.

Regulus is a liar.

Ever since he began his relationship with James a few months ago he has been lying to him almost daily. 

Every morning James is the one who wakes up first, stretching his limbs, wrinkling his nose, rubbing his eyes as they adjust to the light filtering through the window and reaching for Regulus on the other side of the bed. Sometimes James merely caresses his head or outlines each of his facial features with his thumb as he contemplates him for long moments. At other times he comes close to hug him, burying his face in his neck and peppering him with kisses. But what never changes is the tremendous warmth in his voice every time he says, "Mi vida, it's time to get up." 

The thing is, in all the time they've been together, James has never once woken up before Regulus. Growing up, punctuality was never optional in the Black family. If you were late for breakfast, you had to face the consequences. So waking up early is a habit that Regulus will doubtfully escape one day, even though it is no longer necessary. But ever since he spent his first night with James, and in a moment of panic pretended to be asleep when he saw the body next to him stirring as a sign that he was waking up, Regulus could never stop pretending after experiencing all the attention his boyfriend gives him in the mornings.

Regulus is a liar, but he doesn't feel an ounce of remorse for it.

James knows Regulus is a liar, but he makes a point of reminding him how precious he is and how much he loves him every morning while the other pretends to be asleep.

the way so many ppl believe that homura is truly an “evil devil” and that madoka was “just fine” being a god, when the ENTIRE point of madoka magica is that humans, especially human emotion and morality, is much more complicated than black and white, is just… wow. it’s really wow.

Regulus had been sucking on a candy ring for the past fifteen minutes and James was delighted. His boyfriend’s sweet tooth had blessed James with regular performances of Regulus’ tongue. James could never conceal his eagerness as he waited for Regulus to pull out his candy of choice for the evening: Lollipops, candy rings, gummies, James loved them all. 

He was particularly fond of the way his lover went one by one through a pack of skwinkles. Regulus would throw his head back, take his time eating each one and licked his finger after every single one. Somedays, Regulus would be feeling benevolent and with his gaze fixed on James, he would suck his thumb until a flush spread across the Gryffindor’s face. 

But however scrumptious Regulus looked when he enjoyed his treats, James’ favorite part was afterwards; tasting whatever remains of sugar were left in Regulus’ lips. A true delicacy.
