Davbid Tennant at Florida Supercon 13.7.2024 talking about what is his most favourite and least favourite Crowley's outfit. Also mentions what he might have nicked from the set :D.
Fan: My question is: what's your most favourite and least favourite outfit to wear as Crowley?
David: Whoa. Most favourite? Least favourite's the armour. Not because it wasn't brilliant, but have you ever worn an entire suit of armour?
Int: I was gonna say it's probably just heavy.
David: It's horrible, I don't know how you fight a war in that. It's just a lot. It takes a long time to get into, and it's very uncomfortable. I mean - I love that we got to do it, but I was very glad it was one scene. What's my favorite? I'm not sure. Probably... yeah, probably one of the sort of standard outf- no! I know what it is. It's the sort of very chintzy kind of shell suit. When he goes up to Heaven and he turns into this kind of... I don't know what... I don't know where it I'm even... I don't even know how I'm describing it... It's a kind of awful 90s leisure suit in gold and white. That was my favourite, for sure.
Fan: It was your own hairband or was that from costuming?
David: It was not my own hairband. No. But I may have nicked it.

Okay, today’s prompt (or yesterday’s now for me since it’s midnight 🫠) was The Many Iterations of Anthony J. Crowley, or, as many as I could fit across a 12” sheet of paper 😆

Helmet Hair-
for anyone who has been wondering what might be hiding under that helmet. though, chainmail and long hair is not a good combination.

This moment.
I'm assuming he can't see very well through the helmet, because when he locks eyes with Aziraphale he looks taken aback for a moment before his eyes soften.
His eyes completely betray him, no wonder he wears the glasses.

Now Complete: "A Warrior in a Garden"
My reverse-bang piece for the Good Omens Fairy Tale Minibang is complete at four chapters! The final chapter includes the beautiful art that inspired the fic by @smollsmule, but I'm going to let them post that first. (If you want to see it, check it out in the fic!)
Also, omg Smule, these tags are so kind:
"someone who actually put in the research" LOOK. I can't NOT get it at least close to historically accurate...although the idea of historically accurate Arthuriana is almost a contradiction in terms. I feel like I'm sort of twirling my hair like "omg thank you, you noticed...!"

There's one thing about GO that really bugs me - the inaccurate costumes in the medieval scene. They looked like this:
The scene is set in 537 AD (which makes sense in relation to dating of King Arthur's life) BUT the knight armor in the 6th century looked more something like this:
Their armor costumes are more fitted for the 14th century:
Why were they 800 years early with their outfits?

[Angel Kisses]
The best part of being an Angel in Aziraphale's humble opinion - apart from the blessing and being Good, of course - is that smooching your partner will leave visible evidence if done often enough. And Aziraphale (the bastard) is nothing but persistent when they've set their mind to it.
Crowley just grumbles something about his reputation, but they both know she absolutely loves those glowing freckles.
Details :]

Can anyone point me to a GO meta about the Arthurian legend elements in the story? Ladies of Camelot, Excalibur in the magic shop, medieval romance, Arthur/Guenivere/Lancelot love triangle.

David Tennant at the Emerald City Comic Con 3.3.2023:
Interviewer: Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship spans through centuries.
David: Yes.
Interviewer: So in that you play a lot of different Crowleys.
David: Yes.
Interviewer: Which one was your favourite to play?
David: Oooh. That's a good question. We had a great deal of fun coming up with the looks, obviously, because Crowley is always a sort of punk version of wherever he ends up. He likes to live very much at the sort of cutting edge of the moment in history that he's living through. Unlike Aziraphale, who just kind of bumbles on sort of wearing the same gear. Crowley likes to kind of jazz with the looks of the moment he's in. So was great fun to create them. Which was my favourite... probably I quite liked the Elizabethan look in the Shakespeare... where it was filmed in the Globe in the Shakespeare scene, with his little tiny spindly little beard. The armor was pretty exciting as well. Getting to wear a full suit of armor - incredibly uncomfortable. I mean... I defy anyone to fight a war in that stuff, really difficult. But it did feel very safe.
Interview: Was it pretty hot?
David: No, we were filming in the middle of a field in November. It was freezing cold. And metal conducts the cold quite well, it turns out. So don't fight a war andd especially not it winter. (x)

"Uchi no nakama" (my friend) is such an aggressively blatant translation of "my dear." There's no subtlety in it. It's not a casual figure of speech that could potentially be used with anyone.
You know what could be a casual translation of "my dear?" Anta.

New Fic: "A Warrior in a Garden"
Ineffable Arthuriana? A post-Black Knight episode? Crowley starring as Morgana la Fey? King Arthur getting his crusading ass absolutely rocked? Incredibly beautiful art for the final chapter? What more do y'all want??
The first three chapters (of four) are up and ready right now - the final chapter drops tomorrow!
Thank you so much, @smollsmule, for letting me reverse-bang your delicious art. I'll reverse-bang anything you make, just say the word.
