My relationship with my hair is so huge in so many ways. In reclamation of my culture, in recovery from racism in a western world, in the physical ways it helps me continually learn to take care of myself, to be patient with growth, and remember my physical self needs continual feeding and love to blossom.
Also as someone neurodivergent it has always meant a great deal to me sensory wise, not only does it genuinely block out certain things that would overstimulate me otherwise, but it’s also the source to many favourite stims that have not really changed since early childhood

Our History Our Stories Our Legacies
Black History ✊🏿🫶🏽
Soul Train was a television show airing locally on WCIU-TV in Chicago, Illinois for African American musicians and Dancers to showcase their talent. Hosted by none other than Don Cornelius, The show ran from 1971 to 2006. This is an honor given that black TV shows don't get much time on air. What a time to be alive
Rest In Peace Don Cornelius 1936-2012
I decided this post needed to be in color 🤎
“I'm Don Cornelius, and as always in parting, we wish you love, peace, and soul!”
