Whelp, it's finally happened. Had a nightmare that I woke up screaming from 🫠

#kee speaks #more like woke up and yelled cause it looked like the thing from the dream was still standing over me #already dont remember events leading up to ot #*it; but i was driving my truck snd shoulder checked before turning into my driveway and saw a corgi sitting by the curb a few feet before #had a thought of like wonder if thats an escapee or would i get bit if i went to check on it #completely forgot about it when i pulled into my garage and remotely shut the overhead door before going inside #which i found my family in there (essentially looking how we just had xmas last night)#conversation ensued and then we were leaving my house and i was taking my own vehicle so i exit into the garage #while everyone else went out the front door and i hit the button for the overhead as i walked to my truck where i paused at the door #my moms suburban was parked perpendicular to my garage door and blocked half of it so i couldn't see the street #but I'd remembered the corgi and paused to see if it would come investigate with the door open #well it did but there were like 6 other absolutely massive dogs with it that all came tearing around the suburban and knocked me over #and one of them was a rottweiler that went straight for my throat #i woke up at that point but when i opened my eyes my cats were both laying on me which they're both not exactly small #and at the foot of my bed there is a tall but narrow freestanding closet (ikea thing) and on top of it is a rolled up poster i havent hung #but the cabinet is black and the roll sticks off the top just enough that in the dark i could see the silhouette against the white walls #and it looked just like the silhouette of a rottweiler standing over me 🫠#so i yelled and the cats scattered #figured out what i was looking at before I even turned on the lamp but holy moly #happened like 5 minutes before my alarm went off too #i don't know why it was dogs ive never really had a fear of them #i did get bit across the face when i was like 6 but it wasnt a rottweiler- hell i havent even SEEN a rottweiler in years #but dogs in general dont usually make me nervous ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#idk but one of my cats is purring for me now

It makes me mad that Im. At least pretty sure before opening a new business buildings have to be inspected pretty thoroughly and prepared and up to a certain standard but it feels like with places people actually live like houses and apartments landlords are able to just make shit the bare minimum level of quality as long as it looks fine and clean on a surface level

#im like. sick of moving into places that r fucking barley holding together and they charge so much damn money for us to live here #but it feels like they dont even inspect them or clean them b4hand #when we first moved into our apartment the floors would regularly make our feet black and #our washing machine stinks. i opened the fabric softener dispenser to find it hadnt been cleaned at all and was full of mold and grime #the windoseals r all rotted and regularly grow fungus too no matter how much i wipe them down or disinfect them #i found out the entire back of my bathroom sink isnt sealed bc i spilled water and it all poured under the cabinet #also my roommates window leaks and when we first moved in the landlord was just like 'yeah that happens we dont know how to fix it'?????#it drives me insane like how is this legal lmao #u get to live in this overpriced stinky unclean place and u cant even paint the walls. die #i dont even hate my apartment i actually rlly like it but i wish they legally were obligated to get a professional clean and inspection #not just a passive handwave like 'yeah this is fine i guess'#also the power outlet r constantly constantly giving us problems its so fucking stupid

Just hit with a wave of inspiration of ways to decorate my apartment that I simply cannot afford </3

#so im rainbow washi taping the outer walls of my cabinets #and might tape the doors black and white #and i want to put dark wallpaper up in my living room #and then draw on it with glow in the dark markers witj friends #and then that made me want glow in the dark ceiling decals to put everywhere #and in the living room id have an accent wall with black washi tape grids #and in my bathroom id tape the cabinet pink and white and maybe some green #and i want to learn to tuft rugs 😭#BUT good news is my brother found a tv stand (which i need) thats $10 at a thrift store #and im thinking i could paint that to kill some of the itch that cant be satsified by the washi tape ideas
