#i stim with the rocks#i see rock#anxiety goes down#i hold rock#i click rock against other rock#i had some thin pieces of agate my grandpa got me from a cave gift shop once and i would literally just sit on my bedroom floor#surrounded by all my rocks and just hold the agates up to the light to look at all the pretty colors#just watch tv while rubbing the smooth rocks against my cheek#i had a piece of a counter top that broke at a house that was being built that my grandpa was doing the plumbing at#one side of it was shaped in a way that it perfectly fit the bottom part of my palm in the way it curved#idk what happened to it#its ok tho i have a lot of rocks that are good for stimming#just 💜💜💜💜💜💜rocks my beloved💜💜💜💜💜#i still wanna polish my giant chunks of rose quartz#to be fair i dont only do these things when im axious#i did like to carry my smooth rocks in my pockets at school tho#i liked to fidget with them in class#also the sound of a rock clicking against a desk 🤌🤌🤌🤌#or my pocket watch chains. i liked fidgeting with those too#had to make sure charles didnt see them tho or hed get after me for having a chain#he never got after any of the guys who wore chains on their wallets but the kid carrying a pocket watch was CLEARLY a threat#the other security guard didnt give a shit#he thought it was cool#got right up in my face about it too. like literally marched over to me got right into my space and grabbed the chain and was like#''yOu CaNt HaVe ThIs. PuT iT aWaY.''#like charles my guy i could point out like 3 guys in this room that have pocket knives on them#i dont think my pocket watch chain is any of your concern#started wearing chains on my boots just for you charles 💜💜💜

i feel like you learn so much about yourself as an adult when you live alone and if there's one thing i ironclad know about myself is that i fucking hate overhead lights so much.
#me every time i move to a new place: how many soft lighting lamps can i use here instead of the built in overheads?#feeling this in my new apartment i just turned off my bedroom overhead in favor of the led strip i put in under my desk for mood lighting#and my god!!!!!!!! it's so much nicer!!!!!#idk man these lights arent even that bright there's just something about the overheadness of them that really gets to me#liveblogging life#also no joke you learn SO much about your own tastes when youre an adult living alone btw#there's so much about myself i learned when i was finally living alone bc i had to like. make my own choices about stuff#and also i COULD make my own choices about stuff you know? god it's so fucking nice#every day i thank god im not a teenager living with her mother anymore. some things about adulthood suck#but you couldnt pay me to be 17 again. living with my mom again???? jesus god just kill me instead.

I figured it out.
The only thing keeping me from cleaning my room is the allure of my bed
So if I put my rats on my bed,
I can't lay on my bed
And I'll clean
I'm so fucking smart
#soon my rats will have access to the full room again for free roam time#but its too messy rn#they love hiding in piles of blankets#and there was a pile that was so in the way that i had to step on it to move through the room#not ideal because i shouldnt step on something with the possibility of a rat in it#so for now theyre just free roaming in their playpen or my bed#tonight it was my bed so that i couldnt lay on it#and i actually did some solid cleaning#i got rid of all of my floor clothes and blankets#and sorted a large misc pile into 'trash' 'trinkets' and 'useful things'#i founs a shirt that i accused my sibling of stealing#i can now walk theough my bedroom roughly unhindered#it still has a long way to go but its 2am and i want to lay down#my parents and brother are coming for Christmas and i cant have my room a disaster when they arrive#also tomorrow im getting a desk delivered so i need space to set it up#and i have a half built bookshelf on my floor that i need to finish#which will help me organize the rest of my room#i moved here in august and still havent unpacked most of my shit#its a real problem tbh#but i want to settle down. and to do that i need to unpack#i still have a lot of cleaning to do. and laundry. a shit ton of laundry. and furniture building. and unpacking#but if i start now and work in bursts then i should be good for when my parents come#famous last words when youre neurodivergent#im gonna go to bed soon i think#my ear infection is getting marginally better so i can sleep a bit better but im still exhausted#god im so fucking exhausted
