Just a little Photoshop exercise. My phone camera isn't the highest quality, so I was very pleased to have captured a nice picture of a bitterroot blossom after a rain shower. I decided to play around with it a bit. The bitterroot is the state flower of Montana. Its roots can be boiled, peeled and eaten. It's a traditional medicine used by Montana's indigenous peoples.

thinking about my tav's relationship with astarion and honestly. they're so funny. she's a cleric of kelemvor, the god of death and is generally operates under the idea of 'that which is dead should stay dead'. but also her core philosophy is just a universal application of newton's laws of motion, which gives her some wiggle room on that idea (ie, an object at rest (dead) stays at rest until a force (magic, vampirism, etc) acts upon it), and that, combined with her...uh...sawbones approach to her practice of cleric-ship (ie, more medicine based than magic based) means that she is 100% treating astarion as if he were a patient/science experiment.

she lets him drink her blood out of professional curiosity, records her experiences while also having him describe his symptoms and how her blood helps. he tells her that her blood is spicy and makes his tongue tingle. 15 minutes later he swells up like he ate a bee. she diagnoses him with an allergy to her blood. unfortunately for him, she's the only person in the party who will let him drink from them
