her birthday is april 19th, 1997 and she is 26! lilia is an aries sun, a libra moon and a leo rising! i would say the card i most align with her is the death card in reversal at her best and upright at her worst. mars would be her ruling planet and her ruling number would be 1! she veeery identifies closely with a very much amount of the traits belonging to her sun and moon and rising ! especially her moon and rising but also a lot of her sun sign as well!

OF COURSE there's rowan the remedy to all her bad days wizard in making her smile the best thing since sliced bread and her best friend. and iris who shes been friends with since they were in pre-k, devyn, orion (she had a "secret" crush on him that he probably knew but didn't tell her to save her from the embarrasment that he knew kjsndak), and of course the fans of her band MALWARES (formerly error 404 i just thought it sounded cute!) !

lucys birthday is november 11th, 1997 and she is 26! shes a scorpio sun, sagittarius moon and aquarius rising! the world is the card in tarot that i think i love the most for her. and her ruling planet would be pluto and her ruling number would be 2! on stage she is the archetypal scorpio and off there is so much of her sign she relates to! along with her moon and rising as well that she closely relates!

"The Bad Batch" Discussion: Did Crosshair Need to Bond with Omega Independent of His Brothers?

This might be an unusual take, but I don't think Crosshair would've bonded with Omega as intensely if he'd been with his family in S1-2.

I think he needed to spend a lot of one-on-one time with her first, partly because of his personality and partly because of his family's unique circumstances.

I imagine that, in an AU where his chip never activated and he left Kamino with his family in 1.01 "Aftermath", Crosshair's dynamic with Omega would've been a lot like Tech's. He'd generally care about her, but he wouldn't really bond with her until he'd spent a lot of time with her, especially one-on-one.

If Crosshair saw his brothers, particularly Hunter and Wrecker, bonding with her as intensely and as quickly as they did in S1, I think he would've just sat back and let them. No need for him to get involved too.

I mean, that's basically what happens in 1.01 "Aftermath." He didn't seem particularly interested in Omega, and definitely let Hunter and the others take the lead in interacting with her in the hallway, cafeteria and medbay scenes.

By the brig scene, though, Crosshair seems to have gone from general disinterest toward Omega to finding her full-on annoying. It's so bad that he openly mocks her:

Omega, to Hunter: No, it's like I said before. I want to go with you. Crosshair, rude AF: How touching.

Granted, his attitude in the brig scene is definitely influenced by his inhibitor chip, but I can't be sure how much his attitude toward her in the previous scenes was him versus the chip.

However, after Crosshair regains his free will and reunites with his family in 1.15/1.16, he still doesn't like Omega and seems very bitter and resentful toward her. In fact, when she sits next to him in Nala Se's lab -- even though the others aren't paying attention to them at all -- he still tells her to go away.

It's worth noting that, until 3.03 "Shadows of Tantiss", every major interaction between them is 1) when one or both of them are trapped in a given space and cannot leave AND 2) initiated by Omega:

Their conversation in the brig in 1.01 "Aftermath"

Their conversation in Nala Se's lab in 1.16 "Kamino Lost"

Their conversation on the platform in 1.16 "Kamino Lost"

Both conversations in 3.01 "Confined" (and any that happened off-screen during the time-jump)

When she breaks him out of his cell in 3.03 "Shadows of Tantiss"

(NOTE: The one possible exception to this is the second conversation in 3.01. She initiated the conversation by going to his cell, but as she's leaving, he calls out to her. Not only is this the first time he ever says her name on-screen, but it's also the first time he willingly continues a conversation rather than push her away.)

Now, after they escape the base in 3.03 and when they're on Lau in 3.04, they're essentially thrown together as allies of convenience. They're not physically trapped, but even if Crosshair wanted to leave her, separating at that point wouldn't be prudent for a variety of reasons.

So that moment in 3.04 "A Different Approach" when Omega gives him the credits and tells him he can leave without her is pivotal.

Crosshair's presented with a choice: continue on alone or go back for her.

And his choice there is so significant because, for the very first time in the entire show, Crosshair freely chooses to reach out to Omega instead of the other way around.

When he finds her at the cargo docks, it's the first time HE initiates the interaction instead of her.

From then on, their interactions are more reciprocal. She still initiates some conversations and interactions, while he initiates others.

Likewise, their dynamic is more reciprocal too.

Before it was very one-sided, with Omega always reaching out to him to build/strengthen their bond and looking out for him and his needs.

But, arguably from 3.01 but definitely by 3.04, Crosshair starts matching her energy and looking out for her and her needs too.

It's clear that after spending five months imprisoned on Tantiss together -- where neither of them had any real support system but each other -- that Crosshair formed a very deep, personal bond with Omega.

It's to the point that he'd do things for her he'd likely never do for anyone else, like getting his hand examined and meditating in 3.08. Even Hunter seems to understand this, which is why he recruited Omega for the task. Crosshair also agreed to let her surrender herself in 3.11 "Point of No Return" despite all his concerns for her safety AND despite knowing he'd have to go back to Tantiss to save her (which he believed would result in his death or worse).

Overall, I believe it was important that he bonded with her independent of his brothers, because the dynamic would've been different with them around.

Hunter, and to a lesser degree Wrecker and Echo, capitalized a lot of her time after the group first left Kamino. If Crosshair had been with them, he probably would've resented that his brothers were spending more time with her than him, because that's basically what happened in canon.

There's also a chance that, once he did start connecting with her, he would've resented that she was spending more time with them than she was with him. Mid-S3 Crosshair seemed mature ~enough~ to accept that Omega might be his No. 1 person, but he didn't need to be hers. That probably wouldn't have been the case for him in S1, though, when he was still an angry little shit 99% of the time.

Then again, I could be wrong and maybe he would've warmed up to her much sooner even with his brothers around.

If Crosshair had been with his family in S1-2 and things had mostly played out the same, I could see Hunter having Omega help Crosshair as lookout on their missions. That way, she'd still be part of the team and have someone watching her, but she'd be removed from the worst of the action.

(Side note: If that happened, I could totally see Crosshair initially rolling his eyes because he got stuck with ~babysitting duty~ LOL.)

So, maybe she would've spent a lot more time with him early on, leading to them bonding more quickly.

Regardless, in an AU where Crosshair was with his family through the events of S1-2, I do think he would've bonded with her eventually, just like Tech did in S2.

But I still don't think it would've been as intense as it was in S3, because his individual dynamic with her and their collective family dynamic would've been VERY different.

I haven't seen anyone mention it on here, most likely because English language news sources are reporting them as friends, but a man murdered a lesbian couple in Hong Kong last week.

(Twitter thread includes more sources and proof of the two victims being in a relationship. However, video of the attack exists online and some of the photos in Chinese news articles are graphic/disturbing. Please proceed with caution.)

Fang Xiaotong (26 years old) and Liu Jixi (22 years old) were stabbed to death by a 39 year old man in a targeted attack in a shopping mall. Allegedly, he purchased the knife only after seeing the visibly gay couple, then attacked Fang Xiaotong, who was a Tom, which has a similar meaning to a butch or stud or masc lesbian. Liu Jixi attempted to intervene to save her girlfriend, but the perpetrator stabbed her also. Bystanders and mall security did not intervene, although eventually chefs who worked at the mall heard screams and armed themselves with stools before attempting to stop the attacker. The perpetrator then waited calmly for the police, and both women were pronounced dead at the hospital. While Western sources are painting this as a result of mental illness, the video and local news stories make it clear that this was likely a hate crime.

(Nb. I've also seen their names given as Fong Hiu-tung and Lau Kai-hei, and also that they may have used the nicknames "Daniel" and "Amber". I can't know which names they would have preferred to be used, hence why I'm including all of them here but using Fang Xiaotong and Liu Jixi throughout the post for consistency and clarity.)

When the time comes, all Toms try to buy their girl time to get away- even as they go down under fists and boots...or knives They want to buy us time, but no femmes can bear to leave them, so it never works. But they always go for our Toms first, then us. Every time.

Fang Xiaotong was a waiter in a high-end restaurant. She loved small animals and children and had lived with her mother and step-sister prior to moving in with Liu Jixi one to two months before the attack. Liu Jixi was a hair stylist and also worked part-time at a bar, which is apparently where she and Fang Xiaotong met. On the day of the attack, both women were planning to meet up with Fang Xiaotong's family to celebrate her grandfather's birthday.

The vibrations of Eddie's voice rumbles, deep and soothing so close to Buck's ear. Buck merely hums in question, somewhat absentmindedly, far too busy painting a flush, rose-colored bruise into the side of Eddie's peck, allowing himself a deep inhale of the deep musk as the thick armpit hair tickles his nose.

"You, always making out with my armpit sweat," Eddie clarifies, shrugging his shoulder - but there's so much warmth - so much love, admiration - awe - in the supposed tease that it's barely worthy of the word in the first place.

Until this moment, Buck hadn't actually realized that this may be a habit he has - but he doesn't think he could find it within himself to be embarrassed, even without the thick, ridiculously sweet afterglow dancing through his veins, wrapping them up like a thick, soft blanket. Not when Eddie sounds so... entranced. In love.

Rather, he steals another deep inhale, allowing the thick scent - stench, realistically - to sting his nose; and it does. It's strong, and it stings, and it shouldn't be good - but it's Eddie; it smells like Eddie, and Buck on Eddie, and their desperation for each other - and fuck, he steals another breath, his teeth teasingly grazing the skin of the fresh mark as he works his mouth even further up - gradually blinking his eyes open as he does so, his gaze immediately falling upon Eddie's.

There's no way to describe this feeling - the feeling he gets when Eddie looks at him like this. Bathed in the dim light of the light on their nightstand. All big, and strong, and sweaty - but equally as soft; his eyes bright, smile cheesy - a barely present double chin making itself known, only from the angle at which he's craning his neck to look down at Buck. Fuck, he's everything.

Buck lets his mouth fall open, eyes glued to Eddie's as he attaches a deep, filthy kiss right into the fold, the hair rough against his tongue, sweat salty and bitter - overpowering. Sweet, at the same time.

Eddie chuckles - giggles, actually, though the sound is hoarse from the hour or so of intense moaning - as he wriggles away from Buck's mouth. Buck laughs against the skin, but only lets his mouth chase him for a second before he takes pity on the ticklish man beneath him, and their combined laughter fades into happy sighs.

Buck picks himself up and folds his lower arm, supporting his temple in the surface of his palm, granting himself the ability to look down at Eddie as he lets his other hand cradle the side of his face. Eddie hums comfortably, eyes still stuck on Buck's, filled with nothing but pure love as he gently grasps his wrist, the pad of his thumb moving back and forth over the back of Buck's hand as he nuzzles his cheek into his large palm. Buck revels in the slight scratch of his second-day facial hair.

"Maybe I like your armpit sweat," Buck comments finally - and it's meant to be a joke - and it is. There's something else to it as well, though - something he doesn't realize until he watches Eddie's face as he processes the words. Something about craving even the most foul parts of each other.

Eddie takes a deep breath, his previous grin fading into a close mouthed smile - so fond Buck thinks he feels his heart break and then heal back together with scars of gold. Better than before.

"Disgusting," Eddie whispers, softly.

Gently - so gently that Buck doesn't even realize what he's doing at first - Eddie starts to ease Buck's hand away from his face - and then out towards the currently unoccupied side of their bed.

In fact, Buck doesn't realize what he's doing until he tugs, and Buck collapses on top of him, Eddie's arm immediately wrapping around his upper back, locking him in place as he tucks his nose deep into his armpit as revenge.

"Ow - Eddie, tick - I changed my mind, I changed my mind-" Buck laughs, hysterically trying to maneuver himself away. Eddie laughs right back - Buck feels it rumble through his body, tickling him further, feels his cheeks pull up against his inner bicep as he grins, tugging Buck tighter against him.

When they finally do give up - when they slide their tongues over each other, and relax into the gentle, everlasting peace they have found with each other - maybe it's a kink, or maybe it's love - or maybe it's both - regardless, they absolutely crave the overpowering, salty taste on each other's tongues.

Because regardless of how deep, or foul, or seemingly unpleasant - there is not a single part of each other that they don't yearn for.

Fong Hiu-tung, 26, and Lau Kai-hei, 22, were stabbed to death by a 39 year old man in a Hong Kong shopping mall on June 2nd, 2023. The man had purchased a knife just before stabbing Fong Hiu-tung in the back. Lau Kai-hei tried to fend off the assailant and pull her partner away, but failed. After stabbing both of them multiple times, the assailant waited calmly for the police to arrive. The police believe the assailant and victims had no connection and did not know each other.

Fong Hiu-tung was a waitress in a high-end restaurant, while Lau Kai-hei was a hair stylist at a nearby salon. Lau Kai-hei also worked part-time at a bar, which is where they had met. Good questions "how would he know they were lesbian?". See pictures below- Chinese lesbians with a Tom are pretty obviously lesbians, at least to our eyes. Chinese lesbians basically come in three varieties- T, P, and H. Historically that's 99% of us, these days, probably 95% with a bit more variety coming in. Very, very, very loosely mapped- T- Tom/Butch P-Dee/Femme/Pretty Girl/Po H- Half/Futch (Amber [Lau Kai-hei] kind of gives H vibes but not my place to say.) If you see a butch girl like Daniel [Fong Hiu-tung], or my Kaidi [Naomi's girlfriend], or the other Toms you have seen me with, they're lesbian. I'm sure there are some non-lesbian Chinese women out there with that clear Tom aesthetic- but I've never met one. I suppose there are also some straight guys that look like Tom of Finland Leather Daddies walking around with similar-looking straight male friends- it's just not common. That gender expression is as clear a signal to you, as ours is to us. Some girls that look H are straight, some boyish girls are straight- but almost never Tom presenting women like Daniel or Kaidi. Now two Chinese women with more conventional gender expression simply holding hands would leave plenty of room for doubt, and there is the polite obliviousness of Chinese who will pretend they don't know a LGBT couple is a couple, but if I'm out with Kaidi- or with any Tom, basically zero people don't actually know we're a couple at a glance. That's just how LGBT works here, we have a look. Amber and Daniel were, likewise, for lack of a better word- and in a bit of celebration- flamingly, gloriously lesbian and easily picked out of a crowd as such- as Kaidi and I would be. I’m more of a lurker so I haven’t posted anything it I will in future when I figure out how, I def have smelled black opium at some point but I can’t remember anything distinct enough to report…if I spot it somewhere I’ll give it a smell 🖤 go to is something that’s pure vanilla so that I can layer on top of it, I have a replica of a vanilla by montalle that is very strong and lasts ages, it’s straight up vanilla to a point it’s almost bitter but in a deep sticky way that feels very intimate
