Does anyone remember SyFy's Tin Man?
ANYONE?!
I'm bitten by Oz fever again because of the Wicked trailer and I dug out my old dvd. I forgot how awesome it was aaaaand I forgot how good Alan Cummings is in it.
Tumblr media
And of course Neal McDonough....
But the thing is I somehow forgot the chemistry they had 😅
I can't get into another dead fandom I can't!

I miss Syfy airing shows in groups which not only facilitated crossovers, but also illuminated a lot of hindsight implications as to the culture's genre and irl preoccupations were at the time. We went from Farscape/Lexx to Stargate/BSG to Eureka/WH13 (/Sanctuary) to Haven/Lost Girl (/Merlin?) to Defiance/Continuum to Bitten/Z Nation to Dark Matter/Killjoys/Expanse/12 Monkeys (/The Magicians) to Wynnona Earp/Van Helsing, and each grouping has fairly noticeable common themes. That some years were entirely duds of single-season failures are analyzable for the fact that entire years tended to lose together (for various possible reasons). Unfortunately, the streaming age hangover has now broken the pattern and everything is 1-season duds. Industry is on fire, hoorayyyyy

So I just found out about We Were Tomorrow from your gifsets. I liked Chai Romruen Hansen in Night Sky and want to watch this show, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Did it get completely pulled from streaming services or something? Would you be able to point me in the right direction of where to find it?
Heyho !!
As far as I know, the project has been in the pipe since 2016 when it allegedly made its first public appearance somewhere. Madeleine Kennedy released the trailer in 2020 on her VIMEO, but according to my own research it hasn't aired yet and it's also questionable if it ever will.
Tumblr media
The sources are a bit contradicting. Apparently it launched again in 2019 and then disappeared again, other sources say it launched in 2021. The background for this isn't clear and so far, I couldn't find out more. Right now, the new sources say that the series is from 2022, what could've implied that they planned on airing it last year. But since that didn't happen, I suppose we will have to wait longer or will never see it at all.
Tumblr media
The instagram and Facebook was still active in 2019 / 2020 and then the pandemic hit, so that would explain the delay pretty good, if they're still planning on launching it.
On the other hand... since I'm also working in the same branch, I have the suspicion that Mad Lane Productions might've bitten off more than they could chew and the series did cost them an insane amount of money. The company's small anyway. We do have an insane competition pressure and maybe it just didn't take off in the first place. Also, without a streaming service or channel to take We Were Tomorrow, it's gonna be difficult. Maybe someone backed out (so far, Syfy's the only one that was mentioned to produce / have it??).
IMO, I don't think that's the case, though. According to MOVIE PILOT, the status hasn't changed from In Progress Without A Launching Date for Season 1 in years. The pandemic is the best explanation so far and in my experience, sometimes it just takes a very long time before projects are fully finished.
Many people are wondering what's going on and if it will ever be released. I hope they do, the trailer really hyped me up. But ofc I am sad that I couldn't help you out with more but this.
Let's hope we'll see it one day.

@mcrcki asked: what other muses did you wish to add to your roster but never did?
Tumblr media
i won’t say that they’ll never make an appearance, but there are so, so many muses i’ve been wanting to bring in but have somehow shown immense restraint not to. the list is so disgustingly long…. and i’m going to be annoying and post them all (+some rambling).
muses i have written in the past but have not (yet) brought to dc: giselle (enchanted), emma woodhouse (emma), annie edison (community), tessa gray (the infernal devices), jackie burkhart (that 70s show), cindy moon (silk/marvel), annie jenks (carrie), helen shivers & julie james (i know what you did last summer), summer roberts (the oc), cassandra cillian (the librarians), alice hamilton (syfy’s alice), lemon breeland (hart of dixie), ruby (supernatural).
most recent additions to my list: hong haein (queen of tears), evelyn carnahan (the mummy), shen li (the legend of shen li), lee mihyun (moving), jang heesoo (moving), elena michaels (women of the otherworld/bitten), chu yue (a journey to love), jung gahee (flex x cop), lee ganghyun (flex x cop).
extremely actor specific, but every single park boyoung and shin hyesun character. i’ve chosen already for the former, so i can’t bring in na bongsun, do bongsoon, joo jin, or jung daeun lest i change fcs or drop dongkyung (neither option i really see happening atm).
&& with shin hyesun, there are so many i want to bring but can’t find it in me to decide on one. it’s just so hard to choose between ban jieum, lee yeonseo, woo seori, and cho samdal, that i refuse to do so.
kdrama muses i've written before & are always on my mind: yang hyesun (my roommate is a gumiho), song yikyung (49 days), shin jihyun (49 days), choi aera (fight my way), han jiyeon (work later, drink now), do hana (the uncanny counter), han jaeyi/gil nakwon (come and hug me), yoon hyejin (hometown cha cha cha), kang haram (black), jo jiah (i'm not a robot).
these ones i hesitate purely because how many law enforcement muses does a person really need? but a few of my favorite procedural muses to write are erin lindsay (chicago pd), juliet o’hara (psych), emily prentiss (criminal minds), lucy tara (ncis: hawaii), kensi blye (ncis: los angeles), & carrie wells (unforgettable).

Van helsing season 2 episode 1 netflix series#
Will There Ever Be an Official Trailer for Van Helsing Season 6? Jonathan Scarfe portrayed Axel Miller, Christopher Heyerdahl portrayed Samuel, David Cubitt portrayed John, Vincent Gale portrayed Phil, Rukiya Bernard portrayed Sarah, Trezzo Mahoro portrayed Mohamad, and Tim Guinee portrayed Ted. Last season’s Van Helsing cast included Kelly Overton, who played Vanessa Van Helsing, a lady with the unique ability to transform vampires into humans.
Van helsing season 2 episode 1 netflix series#
The Expected Cast of Van Helsing Season 6īecause the series was ended following the fifth season, Van Helsing Season 6 will feature no new cast members. Because, all the possible doors were shut in the closure of the previous season, leaving us clueless about an upcoming plot, if renewed. If the show is by chance renewed for a sixth season, then we expect an entirely different plot, which we cannot foresee. The series chronicles Vanessa’s adventures as she searches for her daughter and discovers her unusual talent to transform vampires into humans. When Vanessa reawakens the second time, she realizes that she is unable to convert into a vampire despite the vampire’s bite. They open the doors for the residents and discover a group of vampires hounding the hospital and security guards, shooting them. The guard is unable to comprehend his remarks and proceeds to the door, where he encounters a gathering of individuals attempting to enter the hospital. The doctor informs the security guard that they are approaching. A security officer at the same hospital administers blood to an odd-looking doctor who is in a critical condition within a closed chamber. The series then flashes back thirty-six hours to an unconscious Vanessa laying in a hospital bed. She is able to repel the vampires in some way. Vanessa is bitten in the neck by one of the vampires, but her blood makes the vampire ill, and he begins vomiting. Vanessa awakens in a hospital, where she discovers vampires prowling her room. The story begins in 2019 when civilization has collapsed and vampires have taken control of the earth. Vanessa Van Helsing is the protagonist of the series, who awakens in a vampire apocalyptic world. Van Helsing Season 6 will not occur in the future, thus viewers should abandon their dreams. Season 6 Van Helsing Story: What Could Be It? Syfy has previously declared that the series will not return for a sixth season, and season 5 marked the end of Van Helsing’s run. To the dismay of fans, the creators chose to stop the series with season 5 in 2019. Numerous people felt the same way about the series. The producers neatly finished the previous season, leaving no space for speculation, although many fans suspected that the series might return with season 6 in the future. Between April 16, 2021, and June 25, 2021, Season 5 broadcast 13 episodes. Many fans have binge-watched the entire series in one sitting and are eagerly awaiting the release of season 6. The first season of Van Helsing premiered on July 31, 2016, and the series continued for five additional seasons until June 25, 2021, when the final episode of season 5 was published. In his review of Van Helsing, Keith Uhlich of The Hollywood Reporter wrote: “It’s very good… or is at least, to paraphrase that old critic’s saw, ‘better than it has any right to be’. Will There Be a Van Helsing Season 6? The series’ pilot episode scored 4.5 stars from Den of Geek. In the post-apocalyptic world where vampires roam freely, the world has said farewell to the sun, and thus nothing prevents vampires from emerging and playing. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic world where vampires have taken over and humanity’ only defense is to battle them. Even though the series has lost a large number of potential viewers, many continue to watch it for the purpose of watching something. The series had a lot of potential, but after the second season, the series’ popularity began to dwindle. Van Helsing appears to have fallen into the same group. According to IMDB, 22k people have seen the series, albeit the rating is a little low since they enjoyed the first two seasons but found the series dwindling in the final three.īy and large, many series lose their true context after a certain number of installments. Due to the series’ global popularity, Van Helsing was released in five chapters on June 25, 2021. Van Helsing has aired five seasons so far, with each episode running approximately 43 minutes. Neil LaBute conceived the series, which is directed by David Winning. The series is based on the novel Helsing by Zenescope Entertainment. Van Helsing is an American dark fantasy television series that premiered on July 31, 2016.

James Cogan (Steve Lund) Haven 3x13 Thanks for the Memories (2012/2013)
Arla Cogan: I'll run you a cool bath, okay? That'll help get the fever down.
James Cogan: I don't feel right.
Arla: You're probably just not used to all the modern bugs. It's all genetically modified foods now.
James: I hope so. I can't believe I've been gone for so long.
Arla: Don't worry. I'll help you settle in again. Things aren't so different.
James: Arla.
Arla: Yeah?
James: If I've been gone for 27 years... Then why do you still look so young?
Arla: I stayed young for you, silly. Now hush. We have to get you well so we can get you outta here before your mother finds us.
James: All this time and she's still after me. I guess I understand why.
Arla: That doesn't make it right. Okay, we have our lives to live too. I won't let her hurt you again.
James: I love you so much.
Arla: I love you too, baby.
--
James: I want to speak to Arla! --What happened to you?
Arla: After you died, okay, my trouble started. And my skin fell off. But I-I can live inside the skin of other people.
Audrey Parker: Tell him, Arla. Tell him how many women you murdered to get that skin.
James: You murdered people? That's how you're able to look so young?
Arla: Babe, I-I did it for you.
James: Don't touch me!
Arla: I waited for you. I killed for you. I killed for us!
James: You killed what? Oh, my God! Aah!
