The story revolves around a dominant male werewolf who leads a close-knit Pack of supernatural beings. In their world, the wolf gene is passed through males, so any offspring they have with women, if male, will inherit their werewolf abilities. Their hidden existence as werewolves requires careful secrecy from the human world.

When a young man is unexpectedly bitten and turned into a werewolf, the Pack takes him in, recognizing the potential he has to strengthen their lineage. The dominant male takes on the role of mentor, guiding the newcomer through his transformation and teaching him control over his new abilities. Together, they navigate the challenges of their supernatural existence, facing external threats and protecting their Pack's secrets.

As the newcomer adapts to his new identity, he becomes part of the Pack's tightly woven bonds. The dominant male and the rest of the Pack support him as he embraces his true nature and faces the trials of their shared world. Their loyalty to each other and their responsibility to protect their lineage shape the dynamics of their Pack, and they must work together to maintain the balance between their human lives and their supernatural responsibilities.

With each muscle spasm Clay wanted to scream, he was furious. How had he not noticed these extra party guest's? he tried picking up a scent but that was a wasted effort. His vision was becoming blurred, his Heart was racing and he all he could do now was succumb to the change.

Sedatives had a way of not only putting a wolf to sleep but forcing them back into the shadows like a bad dream, Sedatives did not however make this any less painful.

Tightening muscles constricting back into human form would never be an easy ride, nor was it a show. The change was the most private thing a werewolf could share and Clay knew they were being watched. Adding to his rage filled thoughts.

At least his change was quick, at least he was able to complete it back to his lesser self, his human self. Not as comforting as he'd hoped. Three shadow's came into his sight line but now he had limited human night vision which was blurring thanks to the darts.

If these humans, he's assuming for now they're not Mutts, Mutts tend to stay alone, but if these humans tracked either Him or Cain then they have bigger problems. Humans can't know about werewolves, nothing good can come from that discovery and now Clay was very much stuck with Cain.

His last thoughts turning to times he had with Elena, his mate, wife, soulmate, whatever title you want to give it, he thought of her. He let his heart whisper his goodbyes and then nothing. Fade to black.

Daylight poured in from some gaps in the covered window but it was hard to pin point a time exactly, The drugs were still working themselves out of both men. Groggy and not yet fully conscious Clay tried to gather his surroundings, something, anything but nothing came into focus. All Clay could do was fight to stay awake, bound and displayed like a punching bag.

Being a werewolf had a way of sharpening Cain’s focus, stripping away the excess noise in his mind until everything felt clear, primal. His thoughts were simplified��almost too simple—but that was exactly what he needed. As he crouched low, muscles coiled, senses on high alert, Cain knew exactly what had to happen next: he had to outmaneuver Clay. The other wolf attacked him and Cain reciprocated. There was no hesitation in his blood; only instinct.

His body shifted, taut and predatory, every movement fluid and swift. His eyes narrowed, every nerve firing as he felt the air stir. He was about to spring forward, claws bared, when a sharp sting in his side pulled him out of the moment. A dart.

The pain was immediate but brief, its cold sting nothing compared to the sudden, disorienting wave of confusion that followed. For a heartbeat, there was nothing but silence, as the world seemed to hold its breath. Cain's nostrils flared, trying to catch the scent of the shooter. His head snapped around, seeking any sign of movement, but the woods were too thick, too dark. Even his heightened senses couldn’t cut through the blackness that pressed in from all sides.

Then, the realization hit him: Clay—his rival, his equal—was drugged too. Cain’s golden eyes flicked to Clay’s form, his wolf a little more sluggish than usual. He could see the signs of the sedative taking hold, just like his own body was starting to succumb. A slow, frustrating burn of panic began to creep in, though he buried it deep. He was a wolf. Wolves didn’t show weakness.

Cain’s muscles tensed as he fought the growing haze in his mind. His body, once brimming with power and ferocity, started to betray him. Slowly, as if against his will, he felt his form begin to shift back—bones cracking and reforming with a sickening, unnatural rhythm. The wolf inside him howled in protest, but it was no use. The drug was taking its toll.

The change was painful, but it wasn’t the physical agony that made his heart race. It was the feeling of vulnerability—of helplessness—that gnawed at him. Cain’s sharp, wolfish instincts screamed for him to fight, to retaliate, to regain control. But as his human form clawed its way back to the surface, he realized something worse than the fight was happening: he was being stripped of his power, his strength, his very essence. And in that moment, Cain knew his next move would have to be calculated—and it wouldn’t be in his favor.

Jeremy must have been out of his mind to suggest such a meeting, Clay was furious he'd been ordered to play nice with this mysterious vampire, Elijah.

He had no patience for the intricate ways allies were made, his only focus was to protect his pack, even if that meant a social call in the forest with a creature he still didn't understand nor trust.

So here he was packing up the Jeep with a small over night bag, Ready to canvas the area the day before, Clay would always obey his alpha but he'd always do it his way. The forest was a great place to meet a werewolf, you'd think it was a home advantage but you'd be wrong. Clay was ordered to meet in human form and be as vague as possible if asked direct questions, That he could do but this meant limited advantages, he still had heightened senses but his human body was clumsy, the forest wasn't an friend to this form.

Clay opted to stay in a local motel not too far from the meeting spot, he could stay and weed out any potential threats or pick up on any traps. Once satisfied the forest area was just a small clearing with no hidden weapons, traps or out of place undergrowth and no 'out of the ordinary' scents Clay deemed it safe enough.

He arrived on time to his meeting with Elijah the next day, sometime around sunset, Vampires didn't mix well with the daylight hours, That much he knew.

Taking the longer entrance Clay chose his path with the intention of his human form making itself known, small twigs snapping or rustled undergrowth would have announced his presence before the formalities exchanged.

Not exactly what Clayton had expected, a tall, slim but physically fit middle-aged man in a sharp suit smiling. " Well, can't be too hard to find a man in a suit out here " his southern drawl clinging to the air.

" Now, I know I didn't drag my ass out here for nothin', Jeremy seems to think you're worth the effort. Mind tellin' me exactly what it is you're wantin'? " Straight to the point, no need to dance around and besides Clay hated formalities.

Elijah didn't necessarily like werewolves, but that didn't matter at the moment. He wasn't out to exterminate these wolves, but to forge an alliance if possible. He met with one of the representatives out in the forest. He leaned against one of the trees and listened into the gathering darkness. He could hear the cracking of branches and looked in the direction from which the other finally came. Elijah smiled narrowly at his appearance. “Good, you found the meeting place.” It was probably impossible for him not to find it.

Fuck it. I'm Suing the mayor for his Fenton CloneChild because she bit me and I needed a cast for it.
