this writer is tortured
during my childhood, like other friends, i had dreams of whom i would like to become. i liked to paint and draw and color - i could spend hours on end drawing anime characters, joined in art contests, and did freestyle painting with watercolor, crayon, and oil pastels. i knew i wanted to be become a painter, a person who creates art. art classes were my favorite, and my art teachers would ask my permission to have my paintings as preferences for upcoming classes. i was so proud of myself, until i discovered english at the mere age of 10. oh, i also wanted to become a lawyer lol.
i grew fond of english, and was pretty much fascinated with learning new vocabularies every day; simple ones like apple, book, restaurant (this one got me a long time memorizing it tho!). the best time in art classes changed into hours and hours of enjoyment in english classes. but i never thought i would have something to do with it, until the age of 29. years and years before 29, i partially realized that "wow, i like to write," alluding to a big collections of diaries and short stories kept in the drawer. but the thought of becoming a writer was never in my mind, i only treated it as a hobby while i spent time in university working on my bachelor's degree in english language. i had a good old time with english. i learnt so much about the depth of the language, like syntax, phonetics, linguistics, etc. i indeed tried studying german and korean myself, to realize i have a little fetish for languages and how words are construed in a way that touches deepest consciousness of a human, or conveys an extraordinary story that has never been told before.
i started something like a mini novel, after finishing an essay for my american studies in which i had to watch the movie callled "into the wild." it can be said that this movie has a big role to play in my determination to pursue writing while i was trained to become an english teacher. i love the storyline: poetically condensed. i kickstarted my writing endeavour with a series of paragraphs imitating diary entries of a fictional character. the storyline was randomly developed, or more exactly: i didn't care about the storyline, i just wrote for the sake of the words fizzing in my head at 3a.m. i wrote a hundred of mini diary-like pieces and another hundred of untitled stories. the best thing about writing is no one will ever know who inspires my stories (but you don't have to know?).
i still love to play with words. while i kinda stop making up stories about imaginary people, i use writing as a means to encapsulate my most twisted emotions, tell people about the worst tragedies of my life, and show people how their way of living have taken a toll on my way of living. all because, a writer, like me, can be tortured. taking the deepest kind of dig at my emotions is tedious, but this is something i've tried to come to terms with myself just recently. as an intj, i would rather bitching and moaning about people's shortcomings than spending a second discussing what-is-going-on-inside-my-head. i just don't. i want to avoid them altogether. i hate them. ew.
sometimes, i take a look back at my old pieces, and realize i have changed, for the worse or the better. reliving emotions and recalling moments where you are at the lowest are no easy. sometimes, i feel sorry for "her," and many other times, i have a hard-core cringe. yet, sweet memories are never tarnished as i catch myself smiling at brief moments of joy where i was carefree. i am so glad because i did record them in words, so i can read them over again. writing to me, comes as a mean of relaxation. it helped me overcome the darkest hours of my life when i didn't deserve the treatment from people wronging me. i poured my rational hatred, crippling grief, ongoing disappointment, sleepless nights, and dangerous thoughts into the pages, and i watch them sinking to the abyss of my undiscovered consciousness piece by piece.
i believe all writers are tortured. the kind of torture that goads them on to the better, dissecting layers and layers of emotions that are never dealt with. i believe i am tortured because i have endured such a long time figuring out myself and letting my hidden thoughts go unhidden. and a tortured writer like me is no fun to begin with because one day, who knows, you might be the inspiration to my story after catching up in an ongoing, unfortunate string of events treating me unfairly and poorly?

I got some Fruit By The Foot if you wanna come over Yeah, you can wrap your arms so tight Right 'round my shoulders In case you're scared of the movies I pick I'm sorry in advance for that shit
Your phone screen illuminates with a text from your boyfriend who's deemed 'katsu bae<3' in your contacts. His message is short and sweet, saying he picked up from snacks for your arranged movie night if you were ready to head on over.
You shoot a message back saying you'd be over in a few minutes. You'd been looking forward to spending a bit more time with him. Training had kept the both of you busy lately.
You look forward to cuddling with him because you know he'll pick something spooky, maybe a thriller. You know he's just using it as an excuse for you to snuggle into him. But you don't mind.
Bakugou feels a little bad for making you watch stupid scary movies that he finds to be rather annoying or funny while you may jump or cling to him when he wants to bust out laughing.
When you talk It's in cursive to me And it's nicer than anything I'd believe about me It's like that shit was written in gel pen And I love those
You're sitting in his lap this time around, his arms draped around your shoulders. You're just chatting about your day but Bakugou is kind of zoning out. He's listening, but he's just hearing your voice. It's angelic and beautiful.
He can't quite understand how you can sound so beautiful, almost like your voice was writing in cursive, the delicate strokes were the way you sounded out his name.
And whenever you complimented him, he felt warm inside. Whenever you said anything about him, he felt warm inside. You were so kind. So loving. He wasn't sure how you just seemed to brush his brashness aside, but you did, and it astounded him.
If you want to see me Acting so desperately So desperately All you gotta do is stop texting me Just to flex on me
Bakugou can't stand it when you text him all the time, asking him to come over when you're laying in bed, blowing up his phone even though he's supposed to be sleeping.
He's not mad. He's jealous. He wants to be right there beside you, but he isn't. He replies 'if you wanna see me so bad then just come over.' but you usually just tell him to go to bed and that it's past his little bedtime.
Bakugou knows you just love messaging him goodnight whenever it is you go to sleep. And he'll wait for those messages. And if it's been too long, and you don't respond, you'll always wake up with a 'goodnight dumbass <3' from him in the morning, way too late for him to have stayed up.
It's true I'm a little bitch for you now I don't wanna say it way too loud But I'm a little bitch for you now
Bakugou hates it. The way you make him feel. It's the good kind of hate, the kind of hate you learn to love. Like hearing that one song on repeat so much you end up adding it to your playlist because you have it memorized at this point anyway.
He feels warm and happy. He feels like maybe he doesn't deserve someone like you. You're so perfect, so perfect for him, maybe too perfect even.
Bakugou can't help but mumble to himself that he's gotten soft, and Kaminari's teasing comments certainly don't help either. He's supposed to be the tough number one hardass, but here you are breaking him out of that stupid little box he's locked himself in to try and remain on top.
He'd already fallen, fallen so hard and so far for you.
I bought these really sick lights if you wanna come over They tried to scam me twice But look, they both can change colors like that Like that, oh oh
Bakugou refuses to send you any regular pictures after Kaminari practically bought those LED light strips for him. Though it was far too hard to actually purchase them and install them, Bakugou's always sending you some pic in the pretty red lights or moody blue ones.
You enjoy laying on his bed while they're on, listening to him talk about what Deku said to him earlier while you switch them to green just to egg him on. He's complaining shouting at you to change them back to orange or red.
You switch them to your favorite color and now he can't complain-even if your favorite color is green.
I don't wanna leave my house 'Cause in here I'm the ruler With my refrigerator Full of Pacific Cooler But for you, I'd brave all the traffic outside The way you brave all the bullshit I hold inside
When Bakugou leaves the privacy of his loneliness to be with you, he's vulnerable. But he tolerates it, swallowing down those weird feelings he's never really understood before.
But he does it. He braves it for you. The way you stand up to him when he's a jerk to Midoriya, or when he raises his voice at you, or when you spar and he's not holding back. You tell him to let it out. Everything he keeps inside, you tell him you can handle it, and you do.
He doesn't understand how you do it. But he doesn't want to.
Oh it's true, ooh I'm a little bitch for you now I'm a little bitch, oh my God Did I say that too loud? It's true I'm a little bitch for you now I don't wanna say it way too loud But I'm a little bitch for you now
"Fuck, I love you so fuckin' much." Bakugou mumbles against your forehead as you cuddle.
You smile against his chest, nuzzling into him more. He freezes when he feels your smile.
"You didn't hear that..." He replies softly, nuzzling himself into your hair, flustered by his own words of admiration for you.
"You know I love you just as much right? Even if it sounds cheesy." You lift your head to look him in his crimson-colored eyes. He just hums quietly, leaning down to press a little kiss to your cheek.
"I know. I just, wanna remember this moment for a while." Bakugou replies, closing his eyes as he holds you close.
"You wanna split a fruit roll-up after?" You ask quietly.
"Mhm."

Inuin and Y/N
Tumblr media
(This is a normal AU where Inuin and KoKo are your best friend and Inuin have a crush on you but you like KoKo-nut more. He’s stuck between wanting to break their friendship and want to kiss you senselessly.)
Warnings:yandere contents, swearing, spicy🌶🌶
Tumblr media
(Sorry for late posts, I just got really depressed after my recent submission got 4 likes 😫😫😫Sorry if I haven’t written your submission because it’s probably not finished yet or It’s too uncomfortable for me to write. With that, enjoy.)
“Hey Inui!”
Someone hug Inui from behind making him snap out of his daydream. He turn around from his chair to see a familiar face that create a tint of blush on his cheeks.
“Y/N why are you here this early?”
“Early? Look around you dumb ass.” KoKo said as he comes into the class.
Inui lazily look around him to see the class empty. He must had fallen asleep.
“Oh.”
“Wht do you mean “Oh”? Pack your stuff or we’re leaving you behind!”
“KoKo don’t be so harsh on Inui, he’s just tired from his part time job.”
KoKo got a frond on his face when you defend Inui. Inui on the other hand blushes while putting his things in his back.
“Oh yea? For a person who sleeps around in class of cause he’s going to work in that shabby motorcycle shop.”
“Hey.” You warn Koko. Both of you look each other and inspect Inui’s face.
Inui is used to the constant slanders and being beaten around by Koko, It’s not that he’s a bully, he’s just like that. He would apologies later about it but what he said is true. Koko is a smart kid who get all A’s in his class. He’s the brightest kid in their little friend group. So, the brightest flower catches the most beautiful butterflies, and that butterfly is you.
For the first time in his life, he craves for someone and that someone is you. He misses you 24/7. Always wanting to see your face, hear your voice and feel your touch. He even goes as far as going to your house one night after work to see you. But unfortunately, you were asleep. It doesn’t matter much when he climbs to your window to see you sleeping so soundly.
You can call him a psychopath but he’s just making sure your save by hacking into your phone and looking through all your social info and private messages.
You can call him a creep for following you around at night making sure no wolfs can catch a cute bunny like you.
You can call him a sociopath for lying to you as he only sees you as a friend when he craves to feel more of you then your hands.
He doesn’t care what you call him, he’s doing all this to keep you save form the dangerous people out there or to feed his desires.
Now you both are in a hotpot restaurant. Koko apologies to Inui by treating hotpot and BBK to both of you. All of you talk about school life, how hard to weekly test was or gossip about that one kid in class that reminds the teacher about the homework. Noting goes into Inui mind as he’s too focus on you and Koko interactions.
Koko is talking about these facts he knows of, and you listen to him with wide eyes. Then he whispers something in your ears making you blush. Inui clench his jaw seeing that. Koko looks proud that he’s getting all your attention to himself. On the other hand, Inui watch Koko and you with a sad look with a dash of jealousy.
“Oh, look who’s jealous.” All the spotlight is now on Inui making him slightly uncomfortable.
“Why are you all looking at me?”
“Oh, we all know you’re the jelly one here.” He teases as you switch your seat near him.
You close your space between you and Inui, your face so close to his, a slight movement from him can make him go for a kiss. Your eyes half lid and tease him as you trace his collar with your slender fingers. Not touching him but so close to. Inui’s breath become heavy, his head even feel cloudy to the situation, both of you look at each other’s eyes with lust.
“Tell me baby.”
He just wants to push his head forward and give a deep long kiss, but Koko’s clap snaps him out of hid fantasies. You giggle and hop off Inui’s lap and go sit beside Koko.
“Koko did you see that?”
“Yes, you did a great job.” He said as he places his arms around your shoulder.
“What’s going on?” Inui looks confused.
“It’s a prank! Got you!” You shout and laugh with Koko. In that moment Inui felt both embarrassed and mad. It’s definitely not your idea. Your inexperience ass would never. It gotta be Koko’s.
“You guys are dicks.” He said as he stood up a leave.
“Inui wait- “you were about to stop him when Koko pull you back in his arms.
“Leave it, he’s fine. He’s just a little embarrassed.”
That Bitch
That night Inui can’t get you out of his head. He can’t when you look so cute and sexy when you did that half lid move. The way you touch him felt so different from how you use to touch him. So soft and teasing. He tries to memorize it, but it slowly fades away. He can only remember how hot and lustful it felt. How he got hard just by your voice. He needs it again.
“Inui, I’m going to ask Y/N out.” Inui nearly chokes on his lunch.
“Wait what?”
“Yea I’m gonna ask her out.”
“Wait wait where? When.”
“Tonight, at the playground we use to go at.”
“Wait isn’t it too fast?”
“Wdym it’s fast? Look I realize my feelings for her are real and I just need to let it out. I just want you to know that.”
Inui looks shock as Koko left from the cafeteria. No way this is happening. His best friend with the girl he loves the most. He tries to think positive. Maybe it’s the best for you. Koko is perfect for you, he’s smart, he’s rich, he can fulfil everything you need. He can make you happy. But seeing you with Koko make his heart aches. The thought of how Koko can make you feel complete tortures him every bit.
The rain was pouring like there no tmr. He looks at his clock, 7:30 pm. Koko is going to ask you out at 8 and he’s here sweeping floors. What a fucking loser, he thought of himself. He looks through his phone to pass time and see your message.
Koko told me to wait at the playground we use to play. Idk why but I feel like something serious is going to happen.
I want you to come by that’s all.
It’s fine if you’re busy.
What is he doing here? Y/N needs him. He’s supposed to do whatever you desire right?
He rash out of the shop, even Drakun was shocks at the speed. He run desperately like a predator meets his prey. This is his only chance to feel honest with you. After Koko ask you out, it would be too late. You will be Koko’s. The thought of it filled him with agony.
He stops in front of the playground; his eyes scatter the play. There he finds you standing there with a yellow umbrella. He knows it your cause he bought that umbrella for you.
“Inui? What are you doing here? Omg your soaked.”
He stands in front of you, his eyes fill with desires. He feels like burning. The only thing that’s keeping him cool is the rain. He felt happy when he realizes Koko is nowhere to be found.
“Inui?” You look up to him with wide eyes.
Fuck Y/N
He pulls you in his arm and kiss you. It feels so longing. You yelp in shock giving him a chance to enter his tongue in your mouth. You panic causing your umbrella to drop. He let out all his needs, his urges with action. His fantasies are becoming a reality. Your taste, your touch, the way you whimper in his hold. It all feels so good, he’s starting to feel feverish.
The rain pours all over both of you. It feels like you’re in a movie. Actually, you’re not sure if you like Koko or Inui. You’ve spent so much time with them yet, you still don’t have a sure answer when it comes to both of them but now. You’re sure now.
You both parted from your feverish kiss, you look at each other eyes. You look at him with wide eyes, your lips swollen. You hold on Inui’s shirt, trying to not fall from your shaking knees.
“I’m sorry Y/N. I just can’t take it anymore.”
“I-it’s actually fine. I kinda like you so..’’
“Wait are you serious?”
“Of cause I’m serious! What you don’t wanna take responsibility now?”
“No, it’s just- “
“Shut up and just hug me.” You hide your embarrassed face in Inui’s chest. He chuckles at your action and wrap his arms around you tightly.
“Let’s go home.”
From a far, a man with a chain earring stood silently behind trees as both love birds left. He grips his umbrella tight as he glares at Inui. The envy he’s feeling is strong enough to kill a man.

whatever you say - peter parker imagine
A/N: I don’t normally write nsfw spidey things but my fingers just wouldn’t stop typing so please do forgive me… not any actual smut, just lots of flirting and implications of sexual favors
               It was strange, but for some reason, you found complete comfort in the simplicity that was Peter Parker. He lived in a small apartment with his Aunt May in Forest Hills, went to Midtown High, and at first glance, seemed like your typical teenage boy. May worked as an ER nurse and Peter kept up on his studies, proving to be a straight A student who succeeded not only in school, but in extracurriculars and academic teams as well. He liked science and math, he was really good at building robots, and he thoroughly enjoyed memorizing equations. When he wasn’t acing his tests, he spent his free time building LEGOs and watching Star Wars in his apartment or walking through town and debating between eating pizza or sub sandwiches. He had a messy bedroom cluttered with dirty laundry, an assortment of different computer parts, and countless science textbooks and academic journals. Three months ago, when you first started dating Peter Parker, this is the boy you thought you knew.
               Your life, however, felt like the complete opposite. Being the daughter of Tony Stark, your day to day was far from simple. You lived in Stark Tower with Tony, cooped up on a floor with everything you could ever want or need, a master bedroom with a flat screen television, personal jacuzzi, walk in closet, arcade- you name it, Tony had it. School proved to be a breeze, and you had your MIT valedictorian of a father to thank for that, leaving you plenty of time for your own sort of extracurriculars. Rather than hang out at school and build lousy robots with Peter Parker, you’d much rather go to the lab and work on some high tech AI coding, super suit dynamics, or machine prototypes with your dad and the other avengers. He often urged you not to get too involved for your own safety, but you found yourself growing close with Bruce and Sam, bonding over your shared love for innovation. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t take after your father.
               However, months passed, and the more time you spent with Peter Parker, the more you caught onto the fact that his life might not have been as normal as you initially thought it was. He kept disappearing randomly, ghosting you on planned dates, or not showing up at school. At first you thought he was just nervous, or maybe he didn’t really like you, but upon further investigation, it was evident. His life was just as crazy as yours. Although you thought it was weird that he never bothered telling you he was Spider-Man, and even weirder he didn’t inform you that he previously knew your dad, you almost liked the fact that you could share your secret world of superhero knowledge with him. You found yourselves relating to each other by joking about Steve’s old fashioned manners or Natasha’s resting bitch face. Although, other times also through confiding secret fears or discussing worst possible outcomes.
               Tonight was one of the latter, you and Peter talking on the phone despite the time reading two in the morning, him trying to ease your anxiety. “It’s just been a couple days and Tony’s still not back yet…” you sighed, shrouded by your blankets, the soft glow of your phone illuminating the dark room. “He’s with Sam and he’s probably going to be just fine, but I’m still scared. And I know, I know. I’m not supposed have knowledge about those affiliated with the mission or his location, but sometimes I just can’t help but worry.”
               “It must be hard,” Peter hummed in sympathy. “I’m sorry you have to go through that. May feels the same way about me.”
               You paused for a moment. “I know it’s a horrible thing to think, and I’m probably just psyching myself out but-” your voice caught, shaking your head, closing your eyes. “Sometimes I wonder what if one day he just doesn’t come back.”
               “Hey,” Peter hushed. “Try not to think about that, okay? He’s Iron Man, y/n, he’s fought alien monsters and literal gods, he should be just fine. Mr. Stark never goes down without a fight, he’ll be back. I’m sure of it.”
               “I just can’t sleep not knowing,” you confessed, feeling sorry for dragging Peter into your own personal troubles. “I don’t know, I’m sorry… I’m probably keeping you up, and you have a calc test tomorrow-”
               “No, no, don’t apologize, you’re okay,” your sweet boyfriend insisted. He paused, listening to your heavy breathing. “Do you want me to come over?”
               “W-what?” you asked, confused.
               “I know it’s late but if it would make you feel better, I can come over,” Peter offered. “I’ll just come to your window and you can let me in that way. I can keep you company, you can talk to me, or we can watch a movie to get your mind off things, I don’t know. Only if you want to.”
               “You’d do that for me?” you wondered, growing soft at his words.
               “I just don’t want you to be sad,” he explained. “And I know it’s hard with your dad being gone and all, and sure Pepper’s there, but I know you’ve never really been that close with her, and I just- I don’t know. I feel like you’re lonely, and I want to help.”
               “Yeah, thank you,” you gave a soft smile. “I mean, if you want to, I wouldn’t fight you on it.”
               “Just be sure to disarm FRIDAY before I come,” he reminded. “I don’t need your dad putting bars on your windows the next time I try to visit you like this.”
               “Oh right!” you suddenly came to the realization. “Smart. I’ll go do that now.”
               “Cool, I’ll see you in a few. Don’t miss me too much,” he teased.
“Hey, be safe! No texting and swinging!” you reminded playfully as you hung up and instantly got to work, shedding your sheets and grabbing your laptop, sliding back into bed and working out some coding.
               Just as Tony had previously set up a baby monitor protocol on Peter’s suit, he had likewise set up parental controls through FRIDAY on all of your tower floor. You learned this when you tried to sneak out to a party Tony specifically forbid you from going to, and when you finally reached the elevator doors, FRIDAY locked you inside and you had to wait for Tony to come and get you. Since then, you’d been smart enough to disarm the system anytime you left your room after curfew or got into any other business Tony would obviously disapprove of. Spider-Man sneaking through your window at two in the morning to give you comfort cuddles? Probably something your father would disapprove of.
               Peter tapped twice and waved, you rolling your eyes and laughing, motioning for him to come in before he slid up the glass of your window and crawled through, brushing off his suit and tugging off his mask, smiling once he clearly saw you sitting in bed, wearing one of his hoodies, grinning back at him.
“Hey Spidey,” you beamed, watching as he walked over towards your bed, kissing you softly. He tasted sweet, like candy, and you melted into the kiss, grabbing the back of his head and staying there for a moment before pulling away. He gave the best kisses.
               “Heard someone needed some cheering up,” he whispered, tossing his mask on your night stand as you made grabby hands begging him to crawl into bed with you. He chuckled, giving in and situating himself underneath your covers awkwardly. You laughed alongside him, tugging him closer, pulling the sheets up over both of you, initially wincing at how cold his suit was when you went to wrap your arms around him.
               “You’re freezing, Peter,” you hissed and he chuckled, rolling his eyes.
               “It was windy outside, alright?” he sighed. “Come warm me up.”
               “Well come closer, doofus,” you chuckled. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you closer to him, your head resting against his shoulder, arm draped over his chest, fingers playing with locks of his hair. Your voice grew to a soft whisper. “Thanks for coming, baby.”
               “Anything for you, love,” he insisted, his hand rubbing soft circles on the small of your back. The room grew quiet, his hands trailing up and down your back, your fingers brushing through his messy brown locks, both of you simply enjoying each other’s company. At some point you both fell asleep, soft snores dissipating throughout the room, holding each other.
                In the morning, Peter begrudgingly convinced himself he had to get up and get ready for school, kissing you on the forehead and reassuring he’d see you at lunch later that day. You groaned yourself, realizing you should probably get up and resume FRIDAY’s commands before Pepper or Happy got suspicious as to why she wasn’t giving them any updates on your morning status. You took a shower and threw on some clothes, getting ready for the school day, smiling once you saw Peter waiting for you by your locker, a Starbucks cup in his hand.
               “What’s this?” you couldn’t help but laugh in surprise.
               “Well I know you were sad last night and again, I just wanted to cheer you up,” he shrugged, and you found it adorable that you had been dating for going on four months now and he still got flustered being around you. “I know you like the pink one with the strawberries and the coconuts, but they were out, so I got you a peach lemonade instead, I hope that’s okay-”
               “It’s wonderful, Peter,” you insisted, taking a sip and smiling fondly at your boyfriend. “Thank you. For everything. Really.”
               “Damn Peter, you’re buying y/n Starbucks now?” Ned approached both of you. “You never buy me Starbucks.”
               “I’m not dating you, Ned,” Peter narrowed his eyes, laughing.
               “You don’t have to kiss me to buy me a cold brew,” Ned sighed.
               “Anyways,” you rolled your eyes at the two boys quarreling. “You ready for that calculus exam?”
               “I studied all night,” Ned smiled. “I’ve got this one down. How about you, Parker? I bet you were up late last night studying too, huh?”
               “Up late last night,” you agreed. “I don’t know about studying though.”
               Ned’s eyes went wide and both you and Peter laughed, the bell ringing and all of you walking to your classes. As they day went by, you started to find your mind lingering back to your dad. As much of an asshole as he was sometimes, and as overbearing and overprotective as he could get, you really did love him and care about him. Others would probably call you lame, but you really did see Tony as one of your best friends. He helped you build amazing inventions, supported you in all your academic endeavors, and did his best to look out for you. Whenever he was gone on missions for longer than a week, you always started to get worried as far as whether or not he would come back.
               Peter could sense your anxiety, trying to lighten your mood with jokes or place a hand on your shoulder as a sign of affection. Afterschool he approached you, clutching onto the straps of his backpack, seeming nervous. “I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough day. I was thinking we could take your mind off of things and you could spend the night at my place tonight?” he offered.
               “Really?” your eyes lit up, thinking how you would love more than anything to get out and do something tonight. Nothing was worse than staying at home and wallowing in your feelings.
“Yeah,” he gave a soft smile, thinking about how adorable you looked when you got excited. “Aunt May is working night shift so maybe, if it’s cool with you, we can grab a pizza, play some video games, and then watch a movie?”
               “Of course,” he insisted. “And we can stop somewhere on the way home to grab some snacks too.”
               “I’ll give Pepper a call and ask if I can stay over tonight, I’ll probably just say I’m with Gwen or something,” you grinned. “She’ll say yes, she usually lets me have free rein whenever Tony’s out of town.”
               “Awesome,” Peter beamed.
               Sure enough, you found the two of you hours later on the floor of his bedroom, eyes fixated on a television screen, playing Mario Kart and chowing down on some pepperoni pizza and cherry slushies. It was practically a ritual for you to hang out with Peter on weekends. As long as he didn’t have an academic decathlon the next morning, Aunt May let you stay as late as you wanted on Fridays. Saturdays you spent fooling around in the lab working on suit modifications, recalibrating certain machinery, or working on new projects. Sundays were official lazy days, both of you usually sleeping in and meeting up midday to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie, usually wrapping up with finishing your weekend homework over facetime. However, on the weekends in which Tony or May were out of the house, the two of you liked to have sleepovers. Usually at Peter’s for the sake of having to navigate FRIDAY’s complicated algorithms.
               It wasn’t like anything particularly steamy happened between the two of you. You had been only dating for a handful of months now, and you were both in high school. Sure, you and Peter liked to cuddle a lot, and hold hands, and play with each other’s hair, but that was simply just affection. And of course, you loved kissing each other, especially when nobody else was around to make fun of you or scold you. Sometimes you found yourself getting into make out sessions, pressed up against each other and finding it hard to catch your breath, hearts racing and desperately clinging onto each other.
Occasionally it would heat up a little bit more than that, some grinding and groping and moaning, and a handful of times Peter’s taken his shirt off, but that was about it. You hadn’t even really reached second base with him yet. And you weren’t complaining, you were glad you were taking things slow. But at this point, you were ready. It just felt like it was time. But you knew this was Peter’s first serious relationship, and you didn’t want to put any pressure on him or rush him into things, so you were complacent with playing Mario Kart and eating pizza in the meantime.
               “I am sooo going to kick your ass,” you warned Peter, pressing down hard on your Wii remote and hitting him with a red shell as your character zoomed past him on the race track, and he simply just laughed.
               “Yeah? Wait till I break out Rainbow Road,” he insisted.
               “Are you actually Satan or do you just hate me?” you narrowed your eyes. “There is no way I’m playing that shit, I think I’d rather forfeit.”
               “It’s all about strategy and focus,” he argued, knocking Luigi out from second place, tailing right behind you, eyes glued to the screen.
               “Strategy? You sound like Ned,” you snorted, drifting a curve and heading towards a shortcut. “That racetrack is nothing but a holographic highway of death.”
               “If we had it your way, we would be playing Moo Moo Meadows on an endless loop,” Peter teased and you gasped playfully.
               “What? It has fun music and I like looking at the cows,” you whined and he laughed, passing you at the last minute and scoring first place, making your jaw drop. “What the hell? How?”
               “What can I say? You’re dating a winner, baby,” he grinned and you rolled your eyes, shaking your head and taking another bite of your pizza.
               “I’m dating a jackass,” you joked. “You can’t let me win just once? Come on, be nice.”
               “I used to do that, and you made fun of me for it,” he pointed out. “Remember the first week we started dating?”
               “You literally used to go in reverse until I caught up with you,” you replied flatly. “It was ridiculous, Peter. It’s not like you made it subtle that I happened to suck at the game or anything.”
               “I just didn’t want you to feel bad,” he reassured, and you chuckled, taking a sip of your slurpee and sighing, leaning your head on his shoulder.
               “So another round or are we going to move onto Smash Bros?” you raised an eyebrow.
               “Up to you,” he shrugged, taking a bite of his pizza as well.
               “How about we play another round of Mario Kart,” you suggested. “But whoever wins gets a prize.”
               “Like what?” he crossed his arms over his chest, looking at the mischievous grin on your face, doubtful.
               “I don’t know, a hoodie or something,” you perused innocently and he let out a breathy laugh.
               “You’ve already stolen all of mine, so I’m not sure I’d have another one to give you quite honestly,” he admitted and you smiled, mind wandering elsewhere.
               “What about…” you pouted your lips, trying to think up something good. “What about if I win, I get to do anything I want to you? And if you win, you get to do anything you want to me. All within reasonable boundaries of course.”
               “Woah,” Peter’s eyes widened. “Is this the part when you tell me you actually work for Hydra and you gut me like a fish or something?”
               “Pshh no that’s ridiculous,” you shook your head.
               “What do you mean ‘do whatever you want to me?’ Huh?” he inquired, mischievously raising an eyebrow. “This seems oddly torture-like.”
               “It’s not going to be torturing,” you stared at him, unamused. “I could never hurt you.”
               “Then what could you possibly want to do to me?” he sighed, looking at you, entertained with your shenanigans, taking a sip of his cherry slushie.
               “I dunno,” you shrugged, stirring your straw in your cup a couple times before casually telling him your suggestion. “Suck your dick I guess.”
               He instantly spat out his slurpee, eyes widening, shocked. “E-excuse me, what?”
               “I said if I win, I’d probably suck your dick I guess,” you shrugged again and he blinked at you, entire face flushed red, stuttering and stunned all at the same time. Your lips curled up in a small smile, thinking of how much you loved to see him like this, a literal blushing virgin. He was adorable, really.
               “Well gosh, I uh…” he looked down at the red icee he had spat all over his t-shirt and then up at you, still at a loss for words. “You don’t really have to beat me at Mario Kart to get my permission to do that, you know.”
               “Yeah, but this way makes it a lot more fun, yes?” you smirked and he swallowed awkwardly, absolutely frazzled.
               “S-sure, I guess you’re right there,” he nodded slowly, still staring blankly at the slushie stains. “How do you know I’m not going to just let you win?”
               “Because…” you drew out, looking at him, still smirking. “If you win, then you get to do whatever you want to me.”
               He paused, turning towards you, breath hitching. “Anything?”
               “Well again, no torture or killing or whatever but-” you clarified and he laughed, rolling his eyes.
               “Yeah, of course, but uh…” he got lost staring at you again and you couldn’t help but wonder what he could possibly be thinking of. “Shit, I’m in.”
               “Really?” you bit down on your lower lip, almost too excited for this bet.
               “Definitely,” he nodded, feeling a bit more confident. “Just give me a second.” He slipped off his t-shirt and you watched intently, noting how built and lean he was. There were certain perks to dating Spider-Man, and it was moments when your boyfriend was sitting in front of you shirtless like this that you were ever most grateful for them.
               “Well shit, Parker,” you laughed to yourself and he stared at you, confused.
               “What? My shirt had slushie all over it,” he insisted and you looked at him, narrowing your eyes.
               “Uh huh…”
               “No for real!”
               “Totally not trying to tease me or anything over here.”
               “Oh whatever! Just start the game.”
               “Give me a second,” you insisted, reaching down and deciding to take it one step further, slipping off your own sweatshirt and revealing your bra underneath, looking at him, anticipating his reaction. Seeing him like this, you wanted to take a picture and capture it forever. He looked breathless, staring at you, his eyes dark and fixated, his lips parted, mesmerized. You couldn’t help but smile. “See something you like, Spidey?”
               “Yeah,” his eyes flickered up to yours, still blushing. “You.”
               Grinning, you leaned over to kiss him, then pulled away, picking up your Wii remote and selecting your favorite racetrack. “Good luck,” you winked.
“Good luck yourself,” he laughed. “Seeing as the only time you ever beat me in Mario Kart is when my controller dies, I think you’re the one who’s going to need it.”
“Fine, to hell with luck,” you rolled your eyes as the countdown started. “Maximum effort.”
               Both of you pressed down hard, zooming through the track, eyes fixated on the screen, cursing and screaming and hooting and hollering as you gained power ups and got knocked off the road by each other. By far, the most intense game of Mario Kart you’ve ever played in your life. Each round you seemed to egg each other on more and more, and although you clearly knew how this was going to end, you couldn’t help but at least try your very best. First place trophy spinning on the screen, Peter’s tongue ran over his lower lip, glancing over at you as nervousness flowered in your chest. What did he have in mind?
               “I don’t think either of us saw that coming,” he stated sarcastically and you looked at him incredulously.
               “Alright then Peter Parker,” you hummed lightheartedly, shutting off the television and setting your controller down, sighing as you leaned back and rest your weight upon your backwards palms. “What do you have planned for me?”
               “Well…” he looked at you shyly, almost hesitant, and you began to grow even more curious. “I know you said ‘anything I wanted’ or whatever, but I want to make this enjoyable for you too, and that sure you’re okay with everything I’m doing.”
               “By all means, don’t stop for me,” you insisted, small smile tugging on the edge of your lips. “If you say or do anything I don’t like, I’ll speak up. Don’t worry.” He hummed softly in acknowledgment, nodding as he looked towards the floor, still nervous, then cleared his throat.
               “I think seeing as your intentions were to seduce me, I guess I have no choice but to go along with the theme,” he rolled his eyes playfully, slowly gaining confidence and crawling closer to you, making your heart beat twice as fast. He kissed you on the lips, soft and sweet and slow, and then pulled away, lowering his face so that his mouth was barely brushing up against your ear, his voice lowering to a whisper. The entire mood of the room shifted, into something more serious. “So, I think you should lay on the bed for me.”
               “Whatever you say,” you smiled sweetly, trying to hide your nervousness and doing as told, getting up and making your way to his bed, laying down on your back, watching as he stood at the end, looking you up and down, licking his lips. You could tell something inside of him changed. He didn’t seem so timid anymore, afraid to suggest something or speak up. His shoulders rolled back, his feet planted solid in the ground, his entire stance exuding confidence. It was different, dominant and alluring, and you couldn’t help but be captivated by it. He was entrancing like this, dark eyes gazing over your body, shirtless, hands dipping down into the waistband of his jeans, brows furrowed, pondering what to do with you.
               “Hands up. Against the bedframe,” he ordered, and you looked at him, trying to analyze what he had in mind as you tentatively did as instructed, positioning your arms above you, against the wooden frame. In what seemed like an instant, he suddenly flicked his wrists outward, webs springing from his fingers and you gasped as the sticky substance pinned your hands above you, a mess of webs fixating them to the wooden plank. You eyes widened and then narrowed.
               “Didn’t know Spidey was into bondage,” you bit down on your lower lip, aroused by his dominance and playfulness all the same.
               “Didn’t know you could be so naughty,” he quipped back and you blushed, trying to look away, shy.
               “Nuh uh, none of that,” he argued with a chuckle, crawling on top of you and raising your face to look at him with one of his hands, making your eyes meet. “If I do recall correctly, you were offering to suck me off a moment earlier. Seemed pretty eager too.”
               “Still am if that’s what you fancy, Peter,” you suggested, eyes twinkling with a glint of naughtiness, but he just shook his head, smiling.
               “I think I have other plans for you tonight,” he insisted, kissing you again this time, but rougher, his tongue sliding in between your lips and up against your own, then retreating to have his teeth catch your lower lip, dragging it between them before he pulled away, devilish smirk on his face.
               “Mind filling me in on the agenda?” you asked with a breathy voice, fluttering your eyelids and parting your lips, bucking your hips up to meet his.
               “It involves your pants off, and my head between your legs, and you moaning my name,” his eyes flickered up to meet yours. “And then me fucking you into this bed until those moans turn into screams.”
               “Holy fuck,” you whispered, eyes glazed over, staring at him, practically speechless.
               “Sound good to you, sweetheart?” he hummed, fingers tracing over your stomach, playing with the hem of your waistband.
               “Shit…” you laughed to yourself quietly, eyes still fixated on him, feeling unbelievably flustered. “I think I ought to up the ante on Mario Kart wins a whole lot more from now on.”

How do you come up with so many cool characters?? All of your OCs seem so vibrant and fleshed out. Do you have a specific process for developing them, or do they just kinda come to you mostly formed? I find I struggle with building a compelling OCs for D&D games & would love to hear your thoughts on character development.
(This answer got long, sorry.) This is a super nice sentiment, I’m happy you think my characters are all cool and unique!!
As far as process goes, uh, it depends on the character? I’ve spent a long time (years) rewiring my brain when it comes to what I think about when creating OCs. They don’t usually come to me fully formed - I get an idea in my head about a concept, and then over like a week or even months of fiddling I end up with a character for that concept.
A lot of the time my characters are simply people I wanted to see more of in media as a kid! Mostly, female characters I actually relate to or are as nuanced and messy as their male cast members, haha... (It was a trip when I realized in high school that I didn’t hate female characters - it was actually that none of them were written as well as the cool boys in the anime series I liked, haha! Be the change you want to see in the world, basically.)
Inspiration for characters (and stories for them to be part of) come from a lot of places. An easy piece of advice is to make an effort to intake media you like! Read new comics, watch new movies and television shows, read books, play video games, listen to music and obsessively memorize the lyrics - hell, obsessively learn everything there is to know about black holes or public domain characters (that’s what I did, lol...)!
(Note: ’New’ meaning new to YOU - you don’t need to only be partaking of media that’s created in 2021 - you can find a lot to love in media that was created before your time, or for generations before you!)
I must reiterate: intake new media that you ENJOY! You don’t have to like all the same things as everyone else, you don’t have to be invested in the same shows and podcasts as your friends. Varied interests and taste is part of what makes us all unique! Increasing your pool of inspiration will help you come up with interesting ideas, and help you find YOUR voice. Your particular interests and the niche things that speak to you will help you figure out what kind of characters and what kind of stories you like to create! But the process doesn’t end at just intaking media... When you find the stuff that brings you joy, analyze what exactly it is about that thing that speaks to you... Put it into words. Explain it to a friend. Make it tangible, analyze the feelings and why the series made you feel that way... and then take it and shove it into your own stories, lol!
Engage critically and thoughtfully with work you like, with characters you like, and it will help you have the language and thought process to recreate it in your own work!
My creative process is like an exquisite corpse of all the characters and series I’ve liked over my lifetime. I mesh them all together in a grim blender and what comes out is a shake in the vague shape as an OC, lol
BUT... it seems like you’re asking more specifically about making characters for tabletop roleplaying games like D&D? And THAT is a different process for me than making OCs for my comics or original story ideas!
I don’t usually join a tabletop game with a fully fleshed out character, actually?? I don’t spend a long time on their backstory, and I usually figure it out like halfway through the story, or through collaboration with my game master!
My TTRPG characters are usually whatever I think would be most interesting in the given game setting or set-up and... usually they exist in opposition to whatever the core concept of the game is. So, the examples I have from games I’ve played are:
In Cardians: West (World of Darkness: Hunter the Vigil): we played in a modern-day urban fantasy setting, where players were recruited into a supernatural Hunter group that was also a criminal organization that Did Crimes and Broke The Law in the name of keeping peace and protecting humanity from the supernatural creatures that go bump in the night. I played Andrew, a Lawful Good Police Detective, because I thought playing a character who would need to grow past his original ideals of ‘Right and Wrong’ in the name of the greater good would be interesting! (And it was!)
In SINNING ADVENTURE (WoD: Geist: The Sin-Eaters) we payed in a modern-day urban fantasy setting with the premise that the players all Died and were brought back to life by forming a pact with a powerful spirit (and getting cool ghost powers in the process!) I played Cassius, a character who could not cope with his death, and thus refused to use his new powers because they were evidence that he was no longer strictly human. It caused conflict in the group and world, but I thought it would be interesting! (And it was! Cassius was a Bitch.)
In Rex Machina (Dungeons and Dragons 5E), I wanted to play an Aarakocra, but was having a hard time deciding on a class or backstory... until I found out that in the ‘canon’ of D&D Aarakocra only live to be like, mid 20s???? Their lifespans are insanely short compared to other playable races!! And I thought that was stupid, so I decided to make MY Aarakocra, Izzy, a warlock that’s looking for ways to extend his own stupidly short life. His pact essentially granted that to him, giving him extra time to find a way to achieve True Immortality. His conflict challenges what’s ‘true’ living in this world, and his extended life is in direct conflict with a lot of forces in the world we play in, and while it is very stressful I think it’s really interesting to play!
In Lamplighting (Monster of the Week), my character Aicen is an assassin who made a deal with a demon and gained supernatural perks out of it... except I decided that she doesn’t WANT to be in this deal. She is actively trying to undo it because it wasn’t her deal - she inherited it from a CEO that she killed during an unrelated job. (Aicen is probably my character I’ve put the most backstory into, and that’s just because at character creation in MOTW you are given a lot of questions about who your character is and why they’re where they are!)
In Hand of Adam (WoD: HtV), the concept was that all players were going to join a post-apocalyptic supernatural-hating cult. I played Shouter, who was a self-preserving pacifist coward who also turned out to be a fae (which the cult would have killed him over). It was stressful but very fun. I love Shouter. He ran away from fights and didn’t actually kill anyone until the last episode where they fought God (whom he killed, lol).
NOW. THESE ARE ALL JUST EXAMPLES OF HOW *I* LIKE TO PLAY CHARACTERS!! For me personally, I enjoy playing a character who has built-in conflict either with the world, the story, or the other players. I’m only able to play characters like this because my friend group are all really cool and we all know that conflict is not bad - it’s fiction and we’re just roleplaying! If I didn’t trust my GMs and fellow players as much as I do, I probably wouldn’t have felt comfortable enough playing some of these concepts.
I don’t think you need to know every little thing about a tabletop character, and in fact, not knowing some things and leaving it up to the GM and story to flesh out is an easy way to help you get more invested in both your character AND the story your GM is telling! Tabletops are a collaborative storytelling experience, so if you’ve already plotted out your character’s whole story, there won’t be much participation from other players or your GM. Figure out what your character wants, and let your roleplaying and GM slowly put all the other pieces in place over the course of your campaign!
But the TL:DR about how I make tabletop OCs is that I just... try to give them a goal, an ideal, or a personality that is in direct conflict with some aspect of the game we’re playing. I don’t want the character to be undermining the whole game, because that’s really crappy to do to your GM, but I have to have something for my character to grow through or change. I like giving them built-in character arc starters, lol. I haven’t played a game where my character has gotten along with every other player character and NPC over the entire campaign since my very FIRST game, lol!
Also, if you’re having trouble, why not ask your GM what they think? Again, tabletops are collaborative! Don’t be afraid to talk ideas out with your GM for your character.
A final note about playing in specifically oneshot games (i.e. games that are not long campaigns but are meant to be played in one or two sittings). Personally, I always just retrofit an OC I already have to play in oneshots! When I make a new character for a long campaign, it usually takes me two or three sessions to find their voice and figure out how to roleplay them. If the game you’re playing is only one session, I find it easier to jump right in and get the most out of your character and the game when you’re playing a character you already know pretty well! I’ve played characters from my webcomic quite a few times, and it’s always a lot more fun for me than figuring out a new character on the fly!
SO UH, IN CONCLUSION... sorry if this is mad unhelpfu!! My personal processes are unique to me! but that's the point - no one person will have the exact answer that works for you! You have to keep trying until you figure it out for yourself! Good luck! Keep creating! <3

Only Monsters Come Out at Night
Chapter 5: I’ll Tell You My Sins So You Can Sharpen Your Knife
Summary: Desdemona is slowly losing herself but survival is still critical, especially when she must spend time with Daniela alone. A/N: Thank you all for the support, I’ve been busy with work but this story in my head needs to be written so I can get it out of my system. lol I’ll polish and edit this when I can. :)
           To say the previous night was eventful would be an understatement but to Cassandra’s credit, she did not push for more than what Desdemona was willing to give. Now, Desdemona wasn’t saying that Cassandra was gentle or pleasant when she declined engaging in more intimate activities, but Cassandra understood the meaning of “no” and backed off in exchange for learning more about Desdemona. The smaller girl thought she was being clever by saying she would only get physical with her if they took the time to get to know each other better first and she was surprised when Cassandra reluctantly agreed. Des introduced Cassandra to the laptop she had brought with her on their trip and the woman was in absolute awe of the power of modern-day technology. She had begun explaining about what movies were and what she currently had downloaded onto her pc when Cassandra astonished Desdemona with a personal question.
“What brought you all the way out here in the first place anyway, Little One? Don’t get me wrong, you’re the most fascinating group of visitors we’ve had in such a long time, but for a pretty face like you to be stranded out here on your own with me? Seems foolish.” Cassandra asked as she lay on the bed next to Desdemona who suddenly snapped her laptop shut.
“Desmond and I graduated from college and we had money saved up to go embark on what was supposed to be a memorable adventure. I’ve always been into horror and science fiction movies as well as novels and comic books so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tour the castle that inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, one of my favorite classics. Look how well that turned out.” Desdemona says bitterly, nervously fiddling with her fingers.
Cassandra attempted to reach out and wrap her fingers around Desdemona’s hand, but she became hesitant and pulled back instead as if she were unsure if the gesture would be welcome.
“Your brother is dead. That is something we cannot undo but I understand your anger. Bela and Daniela are trying at times, but I do love them more than anything really. I have the power to kill at will and I will not falter should anything happen to my dear sisters. You, on the other hand, are persevering in a way that’s admirable, Desdemona. You are innocent and you want to survive. You are stronger for that more than you’ll ever know.” Cassandra tells her quietly, her teeth wedged between her lips as though she may have said too much to her human plaything.
Desdemona was taken aback by what Cassandra had said and it must have shown on her face because Cassandra suddenly looked irritated with how deep the conversation was going.
“If you are not going to allow me the pleasures of your flesh, then allow me to drink from you as I’m quite parched!” She snarled before she pounced on top of Desdemona, her razor-sharp teeth flashing dangerously. One minute, she’s howling in pain the moment Cassandra pierces through her skin and begins drinking her blood and the very next, she passes out from the blood loss while still laying underneath the ill-tempered vampire. She sleeps for a few hours, only stirring awake when she feels a comfortable presence beside her. She groggily opens her eyes only to find Veronica staring at her, concern clearly etched on her face.
“Shh, shh hey, you’re okay now, Dezzy. C’mere, let me take a look at you. You were tossing and turning the whole time after they brought you back down here. I don’t know what they did to you, but we can switch places if you’d like. I think Lady Dimitrescu might take a liking to you.” Veronica says jokingly as she runs shaky fingers through Desdemona’s tangled locks.
Desdemona sighs at the contact and smiles at her best friend’s attempt to soothe her.
“That’s funny, V. Not sure I fancy calling my dentist and canceling all future appointments ‘cause I found a titan of woman with big tits to pull all my teeth for me. Nah, I think I’ll stick to reluctantly donating my blood to three horny vampire women, thank you very much.” Desdemona scoffs out a laugh when Veronica playfully swats at her arm.
“Fuck off, it was only a few teeth and yeah, that crazy bitch has got fists the size of hams so of course she can knock them straight out of me!” Veronica exclaimed. “Ugh. I’ll be honest though Des, I’m scared. Not for me ‘cause I know what’s coming if I keep putting up a fight, but I’m scared for you.” She continues, her voice now a whisper as she lays down on the cold hard stone floor and placing her hand on top of Desdemona’s.
“I’m scared for both of us. Why aren’t you more worried about you?” Desdemona squeezes her best friend’s hand and rests her head against Veronica’s shoulder.
 “You’re being forced to entertain three vampires who could bleed you dry the way Elizabeth Bathory did her victims. The way they manhandle you and take occasional sips from you is fucking horrific! I don’t understand how you’re not freaking out over it.” Veronica licks her chapped lips and glances back at Desdemona. “These could be our very last moments alive together. I need you to promise me that you will look for weaknesses that we can use against them. Fight for your right to live, babes, fight for Desmond the way he would have wanted us to. We can’t keep taking what they’re giving us, it will kill us.”
Deep down, Desdemona knew her best friend was right but how could she expect her to put up a fight against three undead creatures that can transform into a massive ball of insects at any given time? She felt so helpless and utterly alone in the way that made her feel insignificant next to her best friend. Veronica was fearless in the face of death and Desdemona felt like a coward. She wanted to survive this ordeal so badly, she practically groveled in submission to be spared from any form of punishment and observing the bruises and cuts along on V’s skin, she felt so incredibly guilty for not putting up a hard enough fight.
 “V, I don’t know how to explain it. I want to get out of here as much as you do, but as soon as my mind tells me to do something logical, I do the exact opposite. It’s like I do not want any of Alcina’s daughters to hate me, so I go out of my way to please them. It’s driving me crazy, and I don’t know if I’m just weak willed when it comes to them but fuck it…I just don’t want to die.” Desdemona admits, turning her head to face Veronica who meets her gaze at the same time.
 “Nothing wrong with wanting to live a little longer but don’t throw away your dignity for these monsters who don’t give a flying fuck about you. From what the countess herself has said about her daughters is that they entertain whatever pretty little maiden comes their way for a minute before they get bored and eat their corpse when they’re done. Don’t let them belittle you, use you, and kill you when you’re worth more than you’ll ever know.” Veronica tells her before placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. Feeling renewed, Desdemona continues to enjoy the few moments of peace with her best friend before they hear the dreaded sound of heels clicking in the dungeon.
“Well, cur, you know what it’s time for and you’ll be delighted to know I have so many wonderful things to show you. Get up, and brace yourself because after this, I guarantee you that you will not be the same after today.” Alcina declares as she unlocks the chamber door to their room.
Veronica grudgingly sits up and sighs, squeezing Desdemona’s hands one last time before standing. “Alcina, what a lovely surprise. I was just beginning to miss you, my lady. Oh, how I’ve been withering away down here knowing that I’ve gone a day without a beating. Thank you oh so much for finally blessing us with your presence.” Veronica says with a smirk only for it to be smacked off her face a second later.
“Silence, heathen! You will speak only when spoken to. For now, you will only be required to observe and shadow a maiden I no longer have use for. As for you, Desdemona, Daniela will be waiting in the library. Do not keep her waiting, dear.” Alcina says ominously, a chill running down Desdemona’s spine at the mere mention of her youngest daughter’s name.
Veronica casts her a fleeting sympathetic look before they both follow Lady Dimitrescu out of the cellar. Once they had gone their separate ways, Desdemona’s anxiety climbed to seemingly immeasurable heights. She came out of her previous encounters with lady Dimitrescu’s other daughters alive so that was good, but what of Daniela? She already gave off the impression that she was delusional and violent when provoked so Desdemona’s chance of survival at this rate was questionable at best.
When Desdemona arrived in front of the entrance to the library, she took a few deep breaths to calm herself. After a few more minutes of contemplating whether she should enter Daniela’s realm, she makes up her mind and crosses the threshold. Her jaw drops at the magnificent sight behold her. She’s in a vast circular room that is surrounded by sumptuous bookshelves and brilliant décor that has her almost envying the fact that this space belonged to someone like Daniela.
“Are you looking for me, darling? Come play with me, I’ll let you live in the meantime.” A shrill voice from behind one of the bookcases catches Desdemona off guard and she nearly trips over herself when she turns to find Daniela quickly approaching her.
“H-hi Daniela, I came to s-see you. How are you doing?” Desdemona asks as she continues to back away from the dangerous woman staring at her with the unmistakable look of hunger in her eyes. Daniela laughs uncontrollably and covers her mouth when she’s done. The red headed woman gives Desdemona an agonizingly slow once-over and licks her lips as though she were feeling ravenous at the sight.
“You’re so sweet to ask. You must have fallen hard for me, but you shouldn’t be surprised; everyone falls for me in time.” Daniela says in an almost sickeningly sweet voice. ‘Ok, so this fucking lunatic thinks you’re in love with her. Good, maybe she’d be less inclined to kill you.’ Desdemona thinks to herself, her back now pressed against a polished marble column.
“Y-yeah, I wanted to see you but only if you weren’t busy. I just thought you could use some company.” Des replies. This pleases Daniela immensely, so she takes a step closer to inhale the other girl’s scent. She was terrified and her blood smelled so delicious because of it. She needed to taste her, absorb everything that was Desdemona and revel in the symphony of her screams when she was done with her.
 “I could always use company, especially yours, my love. A few moments ago, I would have been just fine snuggling by the fireplace and having you read with me. Now that you’re here smelling quite tasty, there’s something else I want.” She says with a giggle before instantly making moves so that she was now only a few inches apart from Desdemona’s face.
Desdemona gasps when Daniela reveals her hidden sickle and suddenly tears a long cut through her shirt and pants. Moaning in ecstasy, Daniela begins to pick apart her torn clothing and caresses the smooth expanse of skin that was exposed to her. Desdemona shuts her eyes and turns her head to the side when the other woman lunges at her with an open mouth.
“Ugh, why are you rejecting me? Don’t you love me? Apologize at once and I’ll forgive you. Everybody makes mistakes.” Daniela whispers in a low, threatening tone. Desdemona feels tears begin to form when Daniela lowers her head and begins to suck and gently nibble on her neck. Veronica’s words come to mind about not putting up with whatever form of abuse they were going to give and she tries to summon every ounce of bravery she could muster. She pushes hard against Daniela and frees herself from her grasp. She twists and begins running in the other direction, not looking back at the crazed woman shrieking at her.
“Why are you doing this to me? I thought you loved me!” Desdemona was about to reach the doorway that led out of the library when a massive ball of insects appeared before her. She wasn’t able to react quickly enough so when she tried to turn again, she felt Daniela pounce on her from behind, tackling her to the floor. There was no use struggling against the immortal creature that perched herself on top of her so when Daniela forcefully flipped her onto her back, Desdemona saw her life flash before her eyes the moment Daniela raised her sickle, as if she were ready to swing at her. The logical part of her brain wanted this to end quickly, to spare herself from further embarrassment every time she pleaded for her life. But then there were dark whispers from an unknown entity, her broken survival instincts or those pesky intrusive thoughts perhaps, that were telling her to kiss Daniela in order to calm her down. She doesn’t know why or how it makes perfect sense but it does; Desdemona could either choose to die on her own terms or she could appease this goddess before her and worship her.
‘Where the hell are those thoughts coming from and why do I have a sudden urge to kiss Daniela? Gods help me.’ The frantic thoughts are the last to cross her mind as Desdemona leans up and yanks Daniela close to her level by her pendant.
Daniela’s eyes widen in surprise when she feels Desdemona’s lips press themselves against hers. After a few tense moments of not receiving the response she was hoping for, Desdemona begins pulling away but then she’s pulled back into a more frenzied, intense kiss. Daniela sighs against her mouth, her sickle dropping and causing the sound of metal clanging against the floor to echo in the room. When the need for air becomes too great for the smaller girl, she gently breaks the kiss and Daniela is suddenly looking at her with hooded eyes, desire visible in those beautiful golden hued orbs of hers. “Why did you run away from me? I hate it when my pretty playthings run away from me.” Daniela asks softly, the delicate tone in her voice surprising the both of them.
Desdemona’s voice wavers when she speaks, but she steadies herself by cautiously wrapping an arm around Daniela’s neck. She doesn’t know why she’s actively reaching out to touch the dangerous red-headed woman, she can’t explain why she’s craving for more contact, but she does and it’s scary as hell. “B-because I don’t want my f-first time with anyone to be meaningless. I’ve n-never gotten this close with anyone before and…I want it to be special. Call me old fashioned, but I’d rather you slit my throat right now before I give myself to you. I need to know you on a deeper level.” Desdemona’s cheeks are flushed a deep crimson color as she admits this, not knowing why she’s opening herself up like this to Daniela but those darker thoughts that linger somewhere in her mind are praising her.
Daniela takes a sharp breath in response to Desdemona’s words and quirks an eyebrow at the smaller girl. She was completely stunned by the revelation.
“Wait, you’re running away from me because you haven’t…not with anyone else before?” Daniela asked carefully.
Desdemona nods, wondering why this would matter to her at all. Daniela was going to slit her throat for wasting her time and-
“Oh Desdemona, why didn’t you tell me sooner? I didn’t mean to make you so nervous! Don’t get me wrong, I’m disappointed that I don’t get to make you mine tonight but I’m willing to wait for you. You’re my soulmate and if you want to get to know me before we get close, then we’ll do just that.” Daniela says, her voice huskier now than it was a moment ago. She reaches in between their pressed bodies and lowers her hand so now that her fingers were skimming along smooth skin until Daniela reaches Desdemona’s underwear.
 Underneath Daniela’s fierce, lust filled gaze, Desdemona moans into the other woman’s ear when she feels Daniela cup her womanhood possessively. This prompted Daniela to capture Desdemona’s lips in a ravenous kiss that left her feeling both thirsty and wanting more. The smaller girl, on the other hand, was quickly losing herself in the kiss, not understanding why the dark voices in her head were pressing her to do more. She couldn’t hear Veronica’s words of warning but instead sinister whispers that poisoned her thoughts. Desdemona was almost fully convinced to give herself to Daniela in that moment but then she remembers the conversation she had with her best friend earlier. This was all about survival, that’s all this should be about. She should not be indulging herself like this with these…creatures. ‘Your masters. Address them appropriately.’ The wicked voice in her head is not her own. Alarmed, Desdemona breaks the kiss with Daniela, who dives in again to lick Desdemona’s lips.
“Mmm, judging by the way you kissed me, you want me to be your first, don’t you? I can wait for you darling, but only if you promise that when you’re ready, you’ll come find me. Not Bela, not Cassandra nor my beautiful mother. I want to be the one to break you in. My sisters always get what they want but this, I want this more than anything. Pledge yourself to me.” Daniela murmurs darkly, her teeth gently nibbling on Desdemona’s earlobe.
Desdemona wants to shove her off and run away again while she has the chance. She wants to take Veronica’s hand and escape Castle Dimitrescu together. She just wants to go home, mourn her twin brother with her family and be somewhere safe and quiet and away from all of this.
Instead, Desdemona smiles at Daniela and tucks a few stray strands of red hair behind her ear. It was adorable how Daniela quickly leaned into the touch, a smile of her own gracing blood smeared lips.
“I’m yours, completely. I’ll take good care of you if you promise to do the same to me.” Desdemona says, her voice not following what her brain was trying to command her to say. ‘Kick, scream, run! Don’t let them control you, don’t let them compel you to do anything you don’t want to do –‘ ‘Obey. Listen to your masters, they own you and your body. You are theirs to do as they wish. You belong to them and nobody else. Do not disobey or you will be punished.’
There it was again, the sinister voice that did not belong to her and it was overwhelming.
Whatever rational thoughts Desdemona had as she continued to embrace Daniela in her arms had left. The last thing Desdemona remembers thinking about before she got up to join Daniela in her favorite corner to read was how much darker and menacing the bruises and hickeys all three sisters left on her skin were starting to look. They were deep red and purple, black spider veins were also beginning to sprout and spread throughout her body.
Were Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters subtly infecting her with some kind of disease or were they creating a bond with her every time they bit and clawed at her? Desdemona’s thoughts lingered on the last part before she uncharacteristically ignored what had just transpired between Daniela and herself. Ties had been indeed created but what Desdemona can’t help but wonder what the cost to sharing a dangerous bond with all three women was? She doesn’t think on it much longer as she’s seated on Daniela’s favorite couch and Daniela rests her head on Desdemona’s lap, a chosen book for her to read aloud in hand. Her mind is placated and the desire to please her Mistress takes over. Nothing else mattered anymore.

anyone can cook
rafe cameron x reader
Tumblr media
words: 3729
warnings: usual cursing, mentions of drugs
synopsis: college au, four times you cook for rafe and one time he cooks for you
Growing up, your mom taught you the importance of food. For most of your childhood, you loved cooking with her. Learning family recipes, and spending time in the kitchen with her instead of doing homework was thrilling to you. As you aged, you started to resent it, feeling like your mother was perpetuating the harmful stereotype that women are meant to be in the kitchen.
And then you left school early and came home to see the shit your dad was putting your mom through and was forced to immediately take that hard pill to swallow. Perspective was a bitch. Your mom didn’t cook to please your dad, she cooked to keep him happy enough for you to be fooled. It was heartbreaking.
You decided then that you’d not take any time cooking with your mom for granted. She loved you and she wanted you to be happier than her. For her, you could certainly fucking try. It was all going great until the storm that knocked out power, rendered the kitchen useless, and drove your dad’s patience level to its breaking point.
He’d never been that angry before, at least not in front of you. You weren’t sure what to do as he lashed out at your mom and then you, without warning and in the end, without apology. Normally if you were upset, your mom would make cookies with you, letting you use cookie cutters and dirty unnecessary dishes. That time though, you had to figure it out alone.
When you got to college, your parents helped pay rent for your first apartment. It had a good kitchen with lots of room, and your mom bought you a ton of kitchen tools, pots and pans, and other cooking necessities as a graduation gift. Her and your dad helped you move in, and that night, with shaky hands, she held your face in her hands. Tears in her eyes she whispered, “Promise me you won’t stop cooking.”
You couldn’t stop your own tears as you gulped and nodded a little frantically, “Of course not, Mama.”
Rafe lived a very different life. His real mother wasn’t in the picture and his step mother didn’t really want kids, so his experience with cooking was very limited compared to yours. Coincidentally that’s how the two of you met, outside your apartment building at 11:48 p.m. while the fire department sorted out the disaster that was his dinner attempt.
You knew it was his fault because he was very carefully trying to make himself look small. The only reason you knew what had gone wrong was you overheard the fireman talking to the landlord saying it was just a small kitchen fire in 227 and wouldn’t be too much to fix.
It was really out of character, but you walked over to where he was sitting on the curb and sat down next to him, “227?”
His head turned toward you sharply, “Figured me out, huh?”
“You were trying a little too hard to look inconspicuous.”
He shrugged, “Didn’t want a bunch of angry neighbors.”
Which you understood, so you nudged his shoulder with yours, “Well, I’m not angry and I know, but I’m not so sure I’d risk it with her,” you pointed at a lady who seemed to be ranting into the phone.
The boy followed your point and winced, “Yeah maybe not. Cooking clearly isn’t for me.”
“What were you making?”
“Kraft mac and cheese.”
You let out a loud laugh, assuming it was a joke. But then he didn’t meet your eyes or laugh along and you quickly stopped laughing, “Wait actually?”
With a shrug, he answered, “No one really taught me how to cook.”
And here you had a choice. Years and years of stored up cooking knowledge, endless recipes memorized, and a fantastic kitchen begging to be used by more than one person made the choice obvious.
“Well then take this as my standing dinner invitation whenever you want. I’ll give you my number and you can let me know when you’re hungry.”
“So, you’re gonna what, teach me how to cook.”
“Well, we can start small. I’ll cook for you first.”
One:
The first time Rafe texted you was on a night you actually had a fridge full of leftovers, but the boy who lived alone with sad eyes deserved better than leftovers. Rafe knocked on the door a few minutes later and he was dressed similarly to the first time you’d seen him, in sweats and a hoodie, and his hands were folded nervously in front of him.
You let him in, and he followed you to the kitchen, “So what’s on the menu for tonight?” he asked.
“Chicken pot pie,” you told him over your shoulder. You’d turned the oven on to preheat and had the potatoes and carrots chopped already. He stood behind you, peering over your shoulder.
Before you could continue, he cut in, “Is there something I can do?”
You thought for a minute, “You can control the music. My phone is synced up to the bluetooth speaker and I have Spotify pulled up, so have at it.”
Rafe nodded and sat down as you put the veggies into a pot and added water to start boiling them. You quickly went into your cooking zone as Rafe sat quietly queuing up songs. They were from your chill playlist and you appreciated that he was sticking to your playlists, humming along every so often.
By the time you pulled the chicken and veggie mixture from the heat, Rafe was leaning forward in his seat, and he looked excited to see what you’d do next. Reaching down, you pulled out a glass pie tin and looked over at him, “After I press the crust down, will you help me pour the mixture in?”
Rafe nodded eagerly and you made quick work of the pie crust, motioning him to come around the counter. He looked hesitant for the first time since you’d started cooking, and you tried to smile reassuringly. Returning the smile, he moved closer, “What do you want me to do.”
You held out the potholders, “If you pour, I’ll scoop.”
He picked the pot up and slowly poured the mixture into the tin and you quickly scooped the stuff that didn’t pour. Rafe set the pot down and you held the second crust out to him to press on top. He mimicked your actions from earlier carefully, and you couldn’t help but smile. You showed him how to press the edges down with a fork and he did so, slowly. Covering the edges, you let Rafe put it in the oven and then led him to the living room to start a movie while the two of you waited for it to finish.
The pot pie was a family recipe, and when Rafe tried it, the look on his face made it worth him seeing the secret ingredients your mom added to jazz it up. It felt good seeing someone enjoying your cooking again.
Two:
You weren’t entirely sure the relationship Rafe had with his family, but on fried catfish night, Rafe showed up at your doorstep unexpectedly. Fortunately, you had a few extra, so you invited him in for dinner. It wasn’t exactly what he was gunning for when he showed up, but he’d never say no to your cooking.
While you battered and seasoned the fish, he vented about his dad.
“I just don’t understand how a 4.0 isn’t fucking good enough. He’ll never give me any credit as long as Sarah does well in school and plays volleyball, I just want to be good enough.”
His words pulled at your heartstrings, and you found yourself tearing up on his behalf. You paused the music that had been softly playing in the background, “Fuck your dad, you deserve better.”
Rafe laughed drily, “I’ve done some dumb shit, this is my karma. I just don’t like it.”
“I fail to see any mistakes bad enough to warrant a parent totally disregarding their child like that. Did you kill someone or something?”
He shook his head, chuckling, “No, I didn’t kill anyone. But I had a drug problem in high school. I’m clean now, but it was me attempting to get my dad’s attention and it all spiraled out of control. Clearly it didn’t work out the way I wanted it to because my dad just kicked me out.”
You were horrified, “He kicked you out?!”
“Yeah, I went from couch to couch for a while until checking myself into rehab so I could get clean. I was tired of being dependent on something and really I wanted to prove my dad wrong.”
“God, Rafe, I’m so sorry.”
He shrugged and you started heating the oil up to start frying. There was an extended pause before he softly continued, “He didn’t let me move back in, even when I showed up clean. News of everything had gotten around town and he didn’t want me to further disgrace the family name.”
Brushing a tear off your cheek, you caught his eye, “Karma will come for your dad someday. You deserve only good things, Rafe.”
With a faint smile, he tapped his fingers on the cabinet, almost nervously, “Maybe one day I’ll be able to see it that way, but for now, I just don’t.”
“I’ll keep telling you until you believe it,” you promised fiercely. And you really meant it.
You finished frying the fish, silence between the two of you. It was no longer heavy and it wasn’t as awkward as the first time, you were proud of the progress. Rafe grabbed plates from the cabinet and at your instruction, the coleslaw you had already made and stored in the fridge.
Courtesy kicked in, and you let Rafe make his plate first. You figured he deserved to feel first choice for once. He almost looked like he wanted to argue, but you weren’t about to back down, so he filled his plate and sat back at the bar, patiently waiting for you to sit down before eating.
You fixed your plate and sat down next to him before squeezing his shoulder, “Thanks for keeping me company tonight.”
Rafe laughed, “Thanks for letting me rant.”
“Anytime.”
Three:
“Fuck,” you muttered under your breath and your laptop confirmed what you feared, your last bio exam had gone very poorly. It was just one test, but you weren’t used to seeing such a low grade, and you had to try really hard not to cry. Everything in you wanted to go lay down for days and forget about the rest of your classes, but the logical part of your brain texted Rafe to invite him for dinner.
He showed up not even five minutes later, and you decided breakfast sounded like the most comforting thing. You didn’t want to come across as too needy, so you didn’t mention the bad grade and tried to cover how you were actually feeling.
Unfortunately, the music you had playing gave it away. Rafe took one look at your face and the slight slump in your shoulders, and immediately wrapped you into a hug. You squeezed your eyes shut, fighting the tears, and he held you tighter.
“What happened, bud?”
“It’s nothing,” you tried to deflect, “fucked up on a bio test. We still have a few more, but it’s not a great start.”
“Which bio?”
“Molecular.”
Rafe thought for a few seconds, “I know a guy who has taken that, want me to see if I can get his notes?”
“That would be great actually.”
He smiled, “Good, now why don’t we get some happier music and get to cooking.”
And you could do that. Rafe changed to a playlist he’d made and sent to you a few weeks ago called Good Vibes for Cooking Nights and you couldn’t argue, they were good songs. A Wallows song started playing and you fell into a rhythm of pouring batter and flipping pancakes, feeling immensely better than when Rafe had first showed up.
You were thankful for him, this boy who had totally changed your life in the four months he’d known you. Four months of baring your hearts to each other in your own little ways. Rafe showing up to your apartment looking casual, not at all how he looked normally during the day. You letting him control the music and watch you cook, something so personal and special to you. It was new for the both of you.
Rafe heated up syrup while you quickly buttered the pancakes and washed some fruit for toppings. For the first time, you made your plate and sat down first. Rafe sat down next to you a few minutes later, plate heaped high with pancakes and raspberries.
After a few minutes of eating, the music being the only noise in the kitchen, Rafe turned to you, “You’re so intelligent and I don’t want you to let this one test discourage you. I know you’ll bounce back.”
“I studied so hard,” you told him, almost whispering, “I knew this was going to be hard, but I have no prior experience to fall back on, and it’s killing me.”
“But you’ll learn. Now you know how exams are structured, and you can adjust your studying habits. Next test will go great, I promise.”
You couldn’t stop it, it had been building between the two of you for months, and in your extra emotional state, you acted more rashly than normal. Setting your fork down, you turned to him and grabbed the front of his shirt. Rafe was startled, but turned to face you, not prepared for you to kiss him.
He froze and you almost regretted it, loosening your grip on his shirt, about to pull away embarrassed when he started kissing you back. Rafe tasted like syrup and raspberries, an addicting combination. Unfortunately, you eventually had to pull away to breathe, and Rafe pressed a soft kiss to your forehead while you caught your breath.
He picked his fork back up and smiled widely at you, “So that was nice.”
You blushed, “Yeah, um, sorry.”
“I’m not,” he stole a strawberry off your plate, “I didn’t want to make a move and make you uncomfortable if I was reading this whole thing wrong.”
“You, um, you weren’t reading it wrong.”
“I see that.”
Your blush deepened as he smiled wider at you. You shrugged, “So, what now?”
“Well, hopefully, now you’ll let me take you out and see where we go from there.”
“I’d like that.”
Four:
You weren’t sure if it was an out of sight, out of mind situation, but your parents planned a couple’s trip for Christmas, and you weren’t invited. Which would make this the first time in your entire life you wouldn’t spend Christmas with your family. You had mixed feelings. On one hand, you were hurt at the blatant disregard of you and your feelings, but on the other hand it gave you the chance to spend your first holiday alone with Rafe.
The two of you were eating hummus and doing homework when you decided to bring it up. He was on the floor, and you were on the couch, so you nudged his shoulder with your foot to get his attention, “How do you feel about spending Christmas together?”
He looked back at you with a wide smile, “I feel like it would be the best Christmas I’ve ever had.”
You grabbed a blank sheet of paper and handed it down to him, “Write down specific foods you want.”
“What do you normally eat on Christmas?” he asked, not taking the paper.
With a shrug, you pulled the paper back, “I don’t know, we normally do gumbo and cornbread and German chocolate cake.”
Rafe grabbed your ankle, shaking your leg a few times, “Let’s do that.”
“You don’t want to add anything?” you asked, hesitant.
He bit the inside of his cheek, clearly thinking, “Maybe we could do a baked mac and cheese. We had those a lot growing up before Mom left.”
“Find me the recipe and I’ll make it for you, bub.”
With a wide smile, Rafe grabbed your hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it, “You’re the best.”
When Christmas finally rolled around, you woke up early to start cooking. Your mom suggested a Dutch oven, something you didn’t already own, and to buy file powder instead of trying the cornstarch method. She also told you to make the cake a day earlier so you wouldn’t have to worry about it with the rest of the food.
You worked with Christmas music playing softly in the background, focusing on making sure the flour and oil combination didn’t burn before adding the veggies. The recipe wasn’t hard, but it did require a lot of stirring and paying attention and exact timing.
By the time it was ready to start simmering for about 30 minutes, you had started boiling the pasta for the mac and cheese. That recipe was simple, and you’d been playing with the cheese topping in your own time to make the flavor blend better with the gumbo, and you were pretty sure you’d figured it out.
With practiced ease, you finished it and poured it over the pasta before setting it to bake. By then, it was time to finish the gumbo, make the cornbread, and get dressed.
Rafe showed up just as you finished getting dressed and the cornbread timer was going off. He had a key and let himself in, and you knew he could handle taking the cornbread out.
“Babe, I’m here,” he called out as he shut the timer off.
“Coming,” you yelled back, smoothing your sweater down.
By the time you finally made it to the kitchen Rafe had set all of the food on the counter and he was leaned next to it in his own sweater and jeans. He held his arms out for a hug, and you walked into them happily.
“Merry Christmas, babe,” he told you, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You hummed and reached up to kiss him.
“Merry Christmas,” you told him, pulling away.
“Food looks good,” he complimented, reaching for the bowls and plates he’d gotten out.
You looked over the spread and smiled proudly, “It does, doesn’t it?”
“You want to eat on the couch and watch the Jim Carrey Grinch?”
Nodding enthusiastically, you grabbed a plate, “Fuck yes.”
The two of you settled on the couch, a gingerbread scented candle burning in the background. Rafe started the movie and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, plate in his lap. You leaned into him and let out a long breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding in. This Christmas, while out of the ordinary, was your favorite one yet.
+ One:
You got home after work, exhausted. Your apartment was dark and cold and it made you want to curl up into a ball and cry. Work had been so time consuming over the past month you’d barely seen Rafe and you missed him. But if you got the promotion your boss had been hinting at, you’d get more manageable hours and higher pay, so you were grinding it out until then.
Dropping your bag by the door, you kicked off your shoes before slowly walking to the couch. Before you could sit down, there was a knock at the door. You considered ignoring it, but it persisted, so you walked slowly back to answer.
Rafe was standing there, giant grin on his face, with a steaming pot of something which explained why he didn’t use his key. It was very surreal and you blinked a few times in confusion before letting him in. He walked past you to the kitchen and set the dish down before digging through your drawer for the matches to light your favorite candle on the counter.
“Go get changed,” he urged, “I’ll get plates set up.”
Your phone rang as you were changing into shorts and you grabbed it out of the discarded pants pocket. When you saw your boss’s name, your heart rate doubled and you answered shakily. The phone call was brief, and the gist was that you’d gotten the promotion and the next day off.
Energy immediately filled your body and you ran to the kitchen where Rafe was scooping out what looked like mac and cheese onto plates.
“Rafe!”
He looked up, startled, “What’s up?”
“I got it!”
“The promotion?” he asked, eagerly.
You nodded, beaming, and jumped into his arms when he opened them. Rafe spun you around a few times and kissed you hard. Slowly setting you back down to your feet, he deepened the kiss, your hands winding into his hair.
Rafe pulled away first, pressing soft kisses to both of your cheeks and your forehead before standing up fully. You let go of his hair and took the hand he offered to you. Leading you to the couch, he sat down and motioned for you to do the same.
“Is this mac and cheese?” you asked, poking at the food with the fork he’d brought you.
“It is. I went on snapchat earlier and realized that it’s an anniversary of sorts. I wanted to make you dinner for once since I know you’ve had a long week.”
“Anniversary?”
A faint blush rose on his cheeks and he cleared his throat, “Um, yeah, a year since we met.”
You laughed loudly, “When you set your fucking kitchen on fire making mac and cheese?”
“A year ago, today. And with your cooking help, I can now make mac and cheese without setting the kitchen on fire.”
Poking at it again, you looked up at him, almost fearing the answer, “This isn’t Kraft right?”
“Of course not,” he scoffed, “I called your mom to get her recipe.”
Biting your lip to hold back the onslaught of emotions, you took in a shaky breath, “Right. Okay. Um, I love you, Bub. And this is genuinely the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.”
Rafe kissed your temple before lifting your chin to make you look him in the eye, “I love you too, and as crazy as it sounds, I’m glad I set my kitchen on fire.”

The Crow (1994)
Alright Cult of Cult. Do I really need to introduce this one? Let's get all 90s and gothy and maybe brace ourselves for a bit of cringe, but like in a fun way. It's the Holy Grail of Hot Topic, 1994's the Crow Starring Brandon Lee.
Sermon
Apparently before the auto industry totally crashed Detroit was already a total fucked to death pile of burning shit, or at least that's what the crow would have you believe. Sorry Bruce Campbell, and other people from Detroit, but mostly Bruce Campbell. According to the Crow the city of Detroit is the kind of place where gangs of warlock anarchist arsonists will bomb buildings, and murder and rape whoever they feel like and then walk around bragging about it the next day with absolutely zero consequences. Funny then that if Detroit was so bad they had to go to film this movie in Wilmington North Carolina which is definitely a fucked to death pile of burning shit. I can say that, I'm from there and I got the fuck out. My brother is going to kill me if he ever reads this. (It's okay, these are all jokes people). Did you know they also filmed the Super Mario Bros movie there ... also cuz they needed a really shitty looking distopia. Moving on ...
The ludicrous criminality of the Crow's Detroit is particularly on display on Halloween. In Detroit (apparently) Halloween is known as Devils Night and it's legitimately just a night of pure lawlessness and chaos and kids aren't even safe to get candy, except later when we do see trick or treaters. Eric Draven, hunky goth rocker who sort of looks like he could be Bruce Lee's Kid and his fiance are murdered by a gang of vicious criminals. One year hence, Eric is resurrected by a mystical crow (that is actually a Raven), to exact his revenge on the gang that murdered him.
He paints his face like sad Alice Cooper and refuses to listen to Joy Division, just covers. He murders Tin Tin (a knife guy) just for his long gothy duster, he murders Fun Boy and forcibly ejects heroine from her arms and tells her "Go be a good mom now" which actually works. (have I told you about our Lord and Savior Sting? He gave me the strength to get off drugs), he blows T Bird up dick first, and then comes for Skab? Scraap? Scooby? in a meeting of all of Detroits villains and just about kills them all.
He is supported by the most 90s little girl to have ever graced the screen, and I am here for it, and Officer Albrecht, who's played by Ernie Hudson but I like to call him Zeddemore: The Most Underrated Ghostbuster. The leader of the bad guys, who I cannot beleive wasn't played by Brad Dourif or Tom Waits, is pretty interested in the occult. He keeps his witchy girlfriend around and she makes him fun dishes like smoked eyeballs, and her main use is that she knows that the Crow is the Crows weakness. They set Tony Fucking Todd on the bird, and I guess you just have to hurt the bird and not kill it, and Eric loses his healing factor and other macabre undead powers.
The Crow, Jimmy the Raven, pecks out Dr. Girlfriends eyeballs, I honestly forget how Tony Todd gets offed, and Top Dollar gets Gargoyled (that is impaled on a gargoyle). Funnily enough that is more Gargoyle related impaling on screen then in the actual movie Gargoyle: Wings of Darkness where a Gargoyle is supposed to have impaled a guy.
The Benediction
Best Feature: Injustice League
In the Crow we have not only a set of super memorable villains but they are played by the bad guy all stars. John Polito as the most lowly of the bad guys as a kind of sleazy pawn shop owner who buys ill gotten gains. Tony Todd, who's size is really on display here, the freaking Candy Man is in this movie. T Bird is the head of Top Dollars goons and is played by David Patrick Kelly, you might know as the "Warriors Come Out and Play!!" bottle guy from the Warriors, or as Jimmy Horne from Twin Peaks, and of course Top Dollar himself is played by Michael Wincott. Wincott is not a particularly celebrated actor but has played villains effectively in Robin Hood, the Three Musketeers, and Dead Man.
Best Set Piece: Detroit Style Hot Dogs
The Set design of the Crow is perhaps one of it's most fantastic features. It's very moody and ethereal. It's just real enough to not take you out of the film, but fantastic enough to set mood and theme above realism. From Eric Draven's apartment, to the church where the final battle occurs they are all fantastic. I think that's why I really wanted to shine the spot light on a very minor set piece that would get nary a mention but just as effectively represents the qualities I was just talking about and that is the Maxi Doggs Hot Dog Stand, where a lot of the films exposition for audience surrogates takes place.
Worst Effect: Freeze Frame
At a few points in the movie the film makers made a strange decision to do these freeze frame transitions. I only noticed it twice in the movie where it was particularly stupid. I'm sure the film makers at the time thought it was a moody and atmospheric choice that highlighted the suffering that Eric Draven was going through, but it didn't age well. If you don't have the sensibilities of a goth girl from 1994 then it's very very hard not to laugh at just how self involved the movie is about it's super sadness.
Worst Feature: Tragic Accident
Solely based on the film itself, it is that very gothic and dated sensibility that hurts the Crow. The little sarcastic dance he does when he flees the police, quoting Edgar Allen Poe, and bowing to Albrecht. These affected behaviors that I'm sure seemed snarky and right on to the target audience only serve to make Eric Draven seem like an unbearable neck beard edgelord and not the troubled dark soul he's supposed to be. I'm sure at the time it seemed unique and gothy but that shit went out of style for good reason, people could see through it. It's a shame that the Crow himself was some of the cringiest parts of this movie now that I'm seeing it as an adult and not a 13 year old middle class boy with no real problems.
This however is not the low point of the movie. It's not news now and if you're reading some dudes review of The Crow on Tumblr then you probably already know the story. The worst thing about The Crow is that Brandon Lee was horrifically killed on set while filming this movie due to some negligible prop malfunctions. A series of unfortunate events that lead to the actor spending 6 hours in surgery fighting for his life before eventually passing. It was not a quick or painless death and it's really impossible to watch the movie without an appreciation for the fact that this kind of fun dark adventure was going to be a vehicle for Brandon Lee's career wound up taking his life. He was 28. I really wish I could have just bitched about the goofy goth stuff and moved on, but that's not the world we live in.
Best Effect: The Gargoyling
Maybe I should have called this best kill. But I'm not sure which it is. The slaying of Top Dollar at the Climax of the film was just super effective. The pointed wings impaling his chest and that horn coming out of his mouth, it was morbid and excellent and just fit the tone of the movie perfectly. I mean how many other movies can you say Cause of Death: Impaled on a Gargoyle.
Best Bird: The Raven
I tried very hard to look up the name of the bird that primarily performed in this movie and could not find anything. There was a Raven once upon a time called Jimmy the Raven, but that was in the 50s and I don't think birds live that long. There was a team of Ravens performing as the crow, they were chosen over crows for their larger size, and more imposing silhouettes. I just think it's so wonderful to see these often maligned birds get a chance to show off their talents. Corvids of all kinds are incredibly intelligent creatures. Im a sucker for animals, if you haven't already figured that out. I really liked seeing the ravens hit their marks, particularly the one whos job it was to drop the wedding ring into Sarah's hand at the end of the film. You can see that greedy little bastard do his trick and then look of camera at his trainer like "treat please!". It's very cute.
Best Actor: Top Dollar Performance
I'd love to take this opportunity to just put praise upon Brandon Lee, he truly gave everything for this role, but unfortunately with what was put to film we actually have very few character moments with Eric Draven. Stuff happens to him, and he does killings and fights. There's definitely some personality, but I felt like I walked away knowing almost nothing about who Eric Draven was. He was clearly a good dude but that and a few hobbies and a relationship and you don't really have a character yet. He's unfortunately not given a lot of acting to do, instead just relegated to stunts and action sequences. That were notably cool.
The bad guys in the Crow have a lot more character and among this who's who of character actors, Michael Wincott takes the cake. Hell he was standing next to Candyman himself, Tony Todd and still stealing the scenes.
Best Character: A Few Good Apples
Is the best character in The Crow really going to be the cop? The commissioner Gordon stand in? yeah, it is. Not to be political, but I don't like cops, but I guess in a world with magical birds and eyeball smoking I can suspend my disbelief and let Ernie Hudson be #1 cop dad. His character is really the heart of the film, since all Eric can do is brood and fight, we have to care about someone in this movie.
Best Sequence: Halloween Party
The best sequence of the movie is of course the scene where Eric Draven busts in on the Devil's Night party planning commission. I think Top Dollar brought Scrappy Doo there just so he could lure out the crow, knowing the baddest assholes in all of Detroit would be gathered it was likely that somebody was going to kill the beast, or if they couldn't at least Top Dollar could get a feel for his enemy. It's a bullet flying action sequence with a ton of weight. I can't put my finger on this all to common weightless third act problem that big budget super hero and action flicks have nowadays, but whatever that issue is, the Crow does not have that issue. From this point on the Climax feels earned and I am invested. For that reason, The Crow is honestly better in spite of its awkwardness, than many of the super hero movies out today.
Worst Sequence: My Guitar Gently Weeps
Speaking of brooding or fighting. The best sequence was fighting, the worst is brooding. I get that Eric was in a band or something, but didn't he have shit to do. It seemed like it was a cool idea for a shot, but for like a whole seen, watching somebody play an 80s guitar solo, that stood out so brazenly from the choices of music in the rest of the movie was extra corny. It felt like someone's( dad trying to relate to their kid. Oh you like Music. The Dresden Dolls eh? Oh man, then you're going to love Slash's Snake Pit!
Summary
The Crow is dated. It is iconic but I wonder how many of the people that hang that poster on the wall have watched that movie since they were kids. It's interesting how what i've liked and disliked about this film have changed so much sense I was a kid. It's a cheeseball fiesta. If you have matured at all beyond thinking that being sad is the same as being deep then you're going to like it a little less than you did when you were younger, but it is still solid. There's not much to hate on. I'd watch it over and over again. I was really afraid it would not hold up at all, but returning to The Crow was a completely positive experience.

[monday 6: jealous]
Nora had set Castiel up on a blind date with a really nice guy once.
He tells them casually one night, while they are having dinner at the bunker. When Dean registers his words he almost drops his fork into his plate.
His name was Sean.
“Wow Cas, really?” asks Sam amused, sounding interested like they are talking about the plot of an animation movie and not Castiel going on a goddamn date, with some guy, who knows when. “What happened?”
It had been shortly after Dean’d been in Rexford. Castiel was very nervous and Sean had ordered for him.
They’d talked about their jobs and the stars, because Sean was studying astronomy and Castiel knew all about stars, as he’d walked among them many times.
He hadn’t said that though, and had only corrected his misconceptions twice.
He tells them that they had walked home and Castiel had followed Sean to his door and said goodnight.
Dean is having a hard time picturing it, doesn’t want to picture it, his heart is speeding up. Somehow he feels like that is different than all those times he teased Castiel about people finding him attractive, cause they were just faces, voices that they were never going to see again. And it’s not just a hook up either, this is a date. He feels something twisting in his stomach at the thought the Castiel could want and need something like that. Something that Dean could never give him.
“Did you ever see him again?” Sam asks and Dean wants to stab him with his fork but also thank him because he wanted to know too but didn’t have enough guts to ask himself.
Castiel shakes his head. He didn’t like lying to him, and he couldn’t stand to look in his eyes and play Steve, the sweet, hardworking Steve, the babysitter Steve. As if he hadn’t seen someone explode right in front of him, as if he wasn’t thousands of years old, as if he hadn’t killed and died and existed outside of the human world.
He had felt like a fraud.
And later, when Sean had texted him – he had texted him – Castiel was in the middle of a war and didn’t really have time for a coffee.
Then he had gotten his grace back, and it’s not that he could go up to him and say ‘Sorry, I’ve been busy regaining my grace and bringing back my brothers and sisters to Heaven, because by the way, I am not human.’
“I was feeling… lonely at the time and after that, I felt even lonelier. How can you build real relationships with people if you can’t tell them the truth?” he asks them.
Sam opens his mouth probably to start one of his perfectly crafted speeches about love and possibilities and bright future. Dean is glad to be sitting next to him because he doesn’t have much patience for that look he usually gets when he talks about this stuff. So before he can get into his romantic crap, he cuts him off. “You just can’t. You get used to it” he says, shrugging and shoving a piece of broccoli in his mouth.
Castiel brings his eyes on him. “This must have been hard for you.”
Dean avoids his gaze and he forgets that he’d spoken up just to keep Sam from talking. He stays quiet for a second too long and it’s already too late.
“It is difficult,” his brother says “but if you find someone. Someone that gets you, that understands who you are and wants the same things, you can have that. I mean, we have had a lot of great friends along the way.”
“Mostly dead” grumbles Dean in his plate.
Sam ignores him. “It’s not an easy life. But it doesn’t have to be lonely.”
“Well, I regret the way I behaved with Nora. She was my friend. She showed me kindness and she trusted me and I disappeared. I didn’t know what to say and I didn’t want to lie. Even if I told her the truth now, she would still hate me for lying to her all this time.”
“You don’t know that”, Sam is saying but Dean’s stopped listening. Thoughts are buzzing in his mind like a beehive has just moved in. He keeps going back to the date and even if he is pretty sure the conversation has moved on he still can’t stop himself from asking:
"Well, what about this… uh, Sean?” he asks, stressing the fricative sound.
He and Castiel lock eyes for a moment and as Castiel’s frowns at him, Dean feels himself sink into his chair. He tries to smooth his face into a neutral expression.
“We could have been friends.”
Dean pushes his plate away and scoffs. “You went on a date with this guy. That’s different. That means more than friends.” He hears how stupid he sounds so he quickly adds: “Whatever. Forget it.”
“I know what it means,” Castiel says, “but things are different now”.
Sam just looks between them like he’s following a tennis match. Dean crosses his arms on his chest.
“Did you have fun?”
“I said I did.”
“Where did you go to eat?”
“We had fish.”
“Fish on a first date? Ugh” he says with a grimace, “Did he come to pick you up or -?”
“We met at the restaurant.”
“Ugh.”
“It was a blind date.”
“What did he wear?”
“I don’t remember.”
“Nothing memorable then” he shoots a glance at Sam, “It means it sucked.”
Sam rolls his eyes.
Dean shrugs “What? I’m just sorry the guy had such bad experiences.”
Sam bitch faces him. “But how can you talk? When’s the last time you went on a real date?”
“What does that have to do with anything? I’m just not one for ‘real relationships’. But let me tell you, if I wanted… I’d know how to give my date a good time. I’d know how to do it right.”
Now Sam has his face in his hand. “Oh, please.”
“You’re just jealous cause you know you have no game.”
Sam’s eyes widen: “I am jealous? I’m the jealous one here? Wow, okay,” he throws his hands in the air “I think that’s it for me, I can’t hear this no more. Goodnight guys” he says, standing up with his plate to dump it in the sink.
Dean gives his retreating back a confused look but then Castiel’s voice brings his attention back to the conversation. “But you do build real relationships. You care about people.”
“Of course I care about people. But that’s not what we’re talking about here. The realization you had with Sean? I had it when I was seventeen. Sam keeps…” he trails off, waves a hand, stands up and starts clearing the table to avoid his gaze. “I’m just saying. In this life, it’s better not to get too attached. I mean, look at us -” he meant to add something, but the moment the words leave his mouth he is unable to go on. He wishes he could take it back, struggles to find something to add but comes up empty and the window to correct himself to make it look like a slip is closed already. Castiel doesn’t seem to notice.
Dean strides towards the sink and sets down the dirty plates on top of the pots. He stands still to think while the silence stretches. He might as well say it: “We- we risk our lives every day. We’ve died what, like a hundred times? And if we put dating or romance or whatever crap into the mix we’d get extra screwed, that’s what we’d get.”
“Well, there is always a way to make it work.”
“Yeah, alright Nicholas Sparks.” he feels his skin prickle.
“I dont know who t- ”
“You can have that.” Dean cuts him off in a tone that’s slightly more aggressive than he intended. He keeps his back turned. “If you wanted. It’s different for you. This has always been our life, but it’s not always been yours. And you could have dates and flowers and - the whole deal. It’s not the same for me. And I made peace with that a long time ago. That’s not what I’m gonna get and that’s not even what I want. I’m fine as I am.” He hears his voice getting higher and higher and he feels a little sick, because he’s lost control of his words and he doesn’t even know what he is saying anymore.
When Castiel’s voice reaches him, it comes from a place closer than Dean expected. “Dean, what are you talking about?” Dean shoots a look over his shoulder and there he is, standing behind him a little on the side. “I am an angel. Do you really think -?” He steps closer and lowers his voice. “Nothing of the things you said matter to me. When I was human, I was just trying to fit in.” He gives him a small smile “I don’t understand any of those rituals anyway” and Dean, meeting his eyes, feels his tension deflate.
He turns around and leans his hips against the counter.
“You sure? Cause we can set you up with one of those dating apps. We really could find you someone better than fish-eating, nothing-memorable-wearing Sean.”
“Don’t be mean.” Castiel says but the corner of his mouth tilts upward. “I’m fine as I am as well. I’d rather have someone who gets me, as Sam put it.”
Dean can’t hold his gaze. He fixes his eyes on Castiel’s shoes.
“I’m just saying, there’s nothing stopping you.”
“That’s not what I want” Cas says and Dean follows his boots as they take a step towards him.
“You don’t know, maybe in the future....”
“I know.”
He is still walking.
“If you could find someone....”
“Dean,” and it sounds like a definitive answer, “I’m not looking.”
He’s there. He leans against the counter next to him and then Dean feels the touch of a hand on the small of his back. It’s barely there and it’s gone after a second but Dean feels light all of the sudden.
“Okay.”
Castiel brings his arm back to his side, but keeps it pressed against his.
A moment passes, then Dean dares to glance in his direction: “So, did you take a look at his car?”
“He had a bike”.
“Oh God, a b-” Dean’s shoulders start shaking with laughter.
“Stop it.”
“Sean with his bike.”
“I said stop. And why do you say his name like that?”

Eddie Gluskin X Reader
Tumblr media
Hey guys, Kat here!
I’m still alive, just VERY tired from work! I like working nights, but I have no life in me to do anything besides sleep. - 7 -” Oh well, I wanted to give you guys a mini smut for being such sweethearts!
*sweats* I’m not sure if anyone is still into Outlast though - It’s an ‘old’ game, but it’s still amazing - it’s scary and has memorable characters! Like most cuties, Eddie is my favourite - I love the killer so much!
I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for spelling and grammar!
Words: 1815
Warning: Normal!Au (I guess?), Pregnancy kink, breeding kink, creampie, Kitchen sex, Rough sex, possessive, strong language, Sweet and rough!
Enjoy!
You hummed in the kitchen as you started making breakfast for your new husband, the tune based off a song he loved dearly.
You’ve known Eddie for three years, and right off the bat, you knew he wanted a wife and child. You didn’t mind the idea as well, but you wanted to take things slow, telling him you had relations in the past that didn’t end so well. He looked practically heartbroken that anyone would upset you in such a way, telling you he would never do that to you and he never has over these years.
The wedding was two weeks ago, and when he laid you in bed, he hasn’t stopped taking you since. He wanted a child as soon as possible, saying ‘well we’re not getting any younger’ and ‘I just want us to have a perfect family’. Seeing your friends and family having kids of their own, you also wanted a child - Of course, you were nervous about carrying and caring for a child, but Eddie made your anxious thoughts fade with his comforting words, saying he’ll be beside you every step of the way and you believed him.
You were so in thought that you jumped when two strong arms wrapped themselves around your waist. “Darling..!” The chipper voice said behind you, smiling when you felt him place kisses on top of your head. “Did I frighten you?”
“No, sweetheart, I was just deep in thought.” You replied to your husband, continuing to chop the peppers and onions. “Did you sleep well?” Well, he should of, climaxing three times inside you last night.
“I slept well, thank you, Darling. Did you?” Eddie replied, his hand gently rubbing your belly.
“I slept fine, although I did feel a bit sick this morning.” You hummed, your eyes still forward. “But I’m fine now, so don’t worry.”
“Don’t get ill on me; I need my little wife to be healthy for today.” You were about to question him but felt one of his hands run along up to your chest while the other slipped under your nightgown to rub your thigh.
“Mmm...Eddie. I’m still sore from last night.” You let out a breathy laugh, feeling your cheeks heat up as he palmed your breast, his other massive hand slipping into your panties.
“Hmm, just one more for today and I’ll treat you all day.” Eddie purred against your ear, placing kisses on your neck which made you bit your lip. “I’ll make a nice bubble bath for you, maybe watch some movies and make you a lovely dinner tonight.” He hummed, sighing as his middle finger ran along your slit. “Oh Darling, you’re still wet from last night.” He let out a low growl when he slipped his finger between your walls, a moan escaping your lips when he curled them inside you. “I can still feel my seed inside you.”
You felt his cock hardening against your ass, knowing Eddie got excited when he thought about his cum inside you, getting you sweet and full because of him. Well, might as well tease him if he’s going to take you in the kitchen. “Mmm, of course, sweety. I love it when my husbands' seed is inside me.” You bucked against him, feeling his cock twitch, biting down the giggle which was close to escaping your lips. “I love getting nice and full because of you.” You heard your large husband growl against your neck, knowing you were playing with fire,
Eddie loved making love to you, but you knew he had a kink he didn’t realise or admit to yet. “Darling...You're so lewd to this older man.” He grunted out, slipping another finger inside you to stretch you out, making you buck up against him once again. “Such teasing...Slut.” He bit your shoulder, moaning as his whole body took over you, breakfast being forgotten.
His hands were getting rough, but you didn’t mind, you loved this side of him. You teased him about this side of him, but he ignored the accusations, saying he is always gentle with you. “Nh-Sweety...” You ran your fingers through his hair, hearing him purr as he pinched your hard nipple, his hips grinding against your ass. “Please...I need you.” You gasped when he shoved your upper body on the kitchen counter, your chest pressing down on the table as your hands held the edge.
Eddie lifted your nightgown, licking his lips when he saw your gorgeous ass in display. “Beautiful...Such a beautiful wife.” He hummed as he spread your legs, making you let out a whimper when his thumb parted your pussy lips, getting embarrassed that he was staring. “Oh, Darling...I can see your walls pulsing. You must be so desperate for me and my seed.” He tugged down his bottoms to the mid of his thighs to take out his cock, rubbing the swollen tip against you. “Tell me...Tell me how much you want me.” He said, sounding so desperate and needy. “You want your husband to fill you, right?” He sighs as his tip would poke in for a second before coming out again, teasing you.
“Hah...Y-Yes. Eddie, sweety...I need you. Oh god, I want you so much...!” You begged, trying so hard to not buck up into him. “Oh please, I’m begging you...!” You whined, your forehead resting on the cool counter. “Pl-Please fill your wif-Ah!” You gasped when you felt his cock slip inside you, his whole shaft going deep. Eddie groaned behind you, his nails digging into your hips to hold you in place, his cock pulsing inside your walls. “Eddie...!”
“Oh, Lord...Darling, you’re still so tight for me. Every part of you is beautiful.” Eddie sighs. He pulled back and pushed in - going slow so you could feel every inch inside you, Eddie’s cock was long and thick that when he pushed harder in, you felt his tip hitting your end. Even now, you were still not used to his size, but you loved it - either way, making your toes curl against the cold tiles. “My wife...Do you feel good? Mm, you feel amazing around me. I can be buried inside you forever.” He hums out, watching his own thick shaft being buried inside you, the thought exciting him. Only his cock could be inside you and filling you up with his hot cum, getting your belly beautiful and full with his child.
“Sweetheart, you always feel S-So good.” You moaned, parting your legs wider for him to go deeper, wanting nothing but him to pound you again. “You can go harder, Eddie. I want to be used and filled with your seed.” He bit his lip; his eyes darken by your lustful words. “I want your child so much...”
Oh, saying words like that - you knew what it did to him.
 His thrusts started becoming faster, his hips slapping against your ass as he fucked you, hearing your husband groan as he reached out to grab your hair. “Fucking slut...” You cried out when he pulled your head back, having a proper angle to fuck into you. “Just like the other whores who want to be used and fucked.” He grunted out, his hand gripping your hip tightly, knowing it’ll leave bruises, but that didn’t matter now. “You can cry out louder, can’t you? Like a bitch in heat.”
You cried out again when he tugged at your hair, looking at the ceiling as he held you there, his cock going harder into your sore pussy, your hands gripping the counter at how intense it was. “Y-Yes, yes, I’m your whore...! I’m only your whore...Ah-Use me, fuck me, B-Break me!” You begged. You loved when Eddie got like this, your mind going blank when he fucked you roughly.
“B-Breed me!”
Eddie smirked by your words, his thrusting increasing in speed and strength, making you cry out more. “Ngh-I will, my breeding bitch! Only my wife to have my fucking kids...! I might as well tie you to the bed and leave you there like a fucking doll! I bet-hah-You would love that, wouldn’t you? Be nothing but a cum dump for me every. Fucking. Day!” You practically had hearts in your eyes and Eddie probably did as well by how he was talking.
You walls clamped down onto your husband, making each other moan by the tight friction as he continued. “Are you close, Darling? Hah, I am too...Come for me. Come on my cock, like the needy slut you are...!”
“E-Eddie! Yes, sweetheart, yes! I’m close-Ah! I’m C-Coming!” You cried out, seeing white as you came, your walls pulsing and clamping down on Eddie. He continued until his climax was coming, now your body pinned on the counter as he filled up your womb with his cum.
“Ah! Fucking Whore!” Eddie cried, his hips still as he came inside you, being balls deep, so none of his cum leaked out. He gasped and panted out, the larger husband forgetting to breathe for a few seconds. You rested your forehead on your arms, your eyes closed as you tried to calm yourself from the sweet bliss. You felt him cuddle up into your neck as he hugged your waist, staying there a bit longer, not wanting to pull out of you.
“Hah...Ah...Darling...?” Eddies’ sweet voice was back, knowing he forgot he even called you such unpleasant words. “You okay?”
“Mmhmm...I...I just - My legs are shaking.” You let out a soft laugh, hearing your husband chuckle behind you. He slowly pulled out when his cock softened, tucking himself back in his pants before picking you up to lead you to their bedroom.
“I’ll continue with the breakfast, you stay in bed and rest, looking pretty as ever.” He kissed your forehead before he placed you down on the comfy mattress. “I’m such a lucky man. I love you so much.” He kissed you, being tender and gentle.
“I love you too, sweet husband.” You smiled as he walked out of the bedroom; your body feeling exhausted.
~~~
Eddie woke up the next day, humming as he snuggled into his pillow, slowly stirring awake. “Mmm...Darling...?” He raised his head, seeing you weren’t in bed. He slowly got up, stretching out his body to undo some joints as he walked to the bathroom - But noticed the lights were on. “Darling, are you alright?” As he opened the door, his heart stopped; seeing you staring at the sink with your hand covering your mouth, tears running down your face. When the door squeaked, you raised your head to Eddie.
Why are you crying? Who upset you, who hurt you?
Dark thoughts ran his mind but quickly faded when you ran over, practically attacking him with a hug. “Eddie!” He heard you laugh, making the poor man very confused. But as he hugged back, he noticed a test in the sink...Wait.
You pulled away to cup his cheeks, a bright smile on your face.
“I’m pregnant!”
THE END! o u o
My Two First Loves • MC x Ava
So I wrote this thing weeks ago, after seeing a photo this idea just came to my mind, and I wrote it without thinking of anyone for the characters, but now I thought, what if this happened with mtfl MC and Ava? Like the boys aren’t in her life and...
Just thought maybe someone else aside from my bff who I always think is forced to read my shit because she’s my friend wanted to read my shit. I know it’s bad and shit, I know I know I fucking know.
Warnings: Idk, angst? I seriously don’t know. Eng is not my 1st language soooo... warnings for mistakes :)
Words: 1688
•••••
She was walking down the aisle,
Her arm in her father’s.
The smell of the bouquet of roses in her hand was giving her the picture of the happy future,
She loved him,
And she was sure he was her soulmate.
The roses showed her a home filled with love,
Filled with holding hands through hard times,
Filled with little “I love you”s.
She felt the joy.
She looked up,
Saw her smiling, her hand waving at her,
And all the good feelings faded away.
•••••
They were teenagers,
They were best friends.
They used to lay on her bed, their feet leaning on the wall, gossiping about the school’s boys and girls,
Gossiping about the failed relationships, the fake ones, and the real ones.
She sighed, wondering why they are still single.
Wondering if she is going to end up alone,
If she is going to take her unloved heart to the grave.
She held her hand,
Told her to stop thinking stupidly.
She told her if you don’t find anyone, I am always available.
She laughed at her,
And started talking about the movie she watched the day before.
She didn’t see that
Her friend didn’t laugh,
She just smiled.
•••••
They were teenagers,
They were still best friends.
She was feeling depressed, sitting on a bench of the park,
Holding her knees, not showing her tears to anyone,
She didn’t think,
She just put her phone out, and called her.
She waited,
10 seconds,
20 seconds,
30 seconds,
She answered,
But she had ended the phone call.
Then she listened, the answer wasn’t as close as the other side of the call,
It was even closer,
Coming from where she was sitting.
She knew she was there, putting everything out, once again.
She sat next to her,
They didn’t use the words,
They used the sights,
The touches,
The feelings.
She held her,
Telling her “I’m always available” with writing on her back,
She laughed,
But again, she wasn’t looking at her,
To see that she just smiled.
•••••
She came by her window one day,
Played a song,
And started singing out loud.
She heard her voice,
Closed her books and went by the window,
She opened it, and saw her,
Standing, wearing nice clothes,
Looking at her with a twinkle in her eyes.
She didn’t say anything,
She just listened.
The song ended,
She said to her
If you were a boy, I would have married you right now.
And laughed.
And she?
She just smiled.
•••••
They were finished with all the ups and downs of the school,
They wanted to follow their real dreams,
Together,
As they promised each other when they were younger.
They were never going to see the bitches again, or the hot guys who used to melt their hearts,
Or maybe just her heart.
And she, was scared, because she knew they were going to see each other less now,
Even if they were going to be in the same city.
Because they were going to college, and college had way too many new boys waiting to find love,
And she was waiting for love too.
She saw her in her imagination,
Holding his hand, smiling at him.
No one saw the image in her mind,
No one heard the sound of the pieces of her heart falling,
But when she looked at her, she asked,
What are you smiling at while zoning out?
•••••
The day had come.
She was going on a date.
She was nervous, not knowing if her clothes were right,
If the heels were high enough,
Or if her lipstick was red enough.
She was driving, being the one who passed her to the man of his life, as they always joked.
She filled the space between her fingers with hers,
And played a song to calm her down,
The one she sang by her window.
She remembered that day,
And laughed at how her voice was never good for singing,
Then, she turned her head to look at her.
This time she saw that,
She wasn’t laughing.
She was just smiling.
•••••
They had an exam,
But they weren’t too fool to spend this beautiful rainy night in their dorm, memorizing stupid sentences.
They went out, without an umbrella.
She hugged the rain,
Wishing he was here so she could hold him.
She wished out loud,
And her heart broke, for the thousandth time.
She told her to play a song,
A romantic one.
And what did she play?
The one she sang for her.
She heard it, and laughed again.
“Why are you so obsessed with this song?”
She turned,
Found her staring at her.
She stopped laughing.
Finally, after years, she asked her,
“Why did you sing that song for me?”
She shrugged, showing that there wasn’t an important reason.
It was obvious that she was lying.
She took her phone,
And paused the music.
She found out,
Why that night,
She wasn’t laughing, and was just smiling.
The raindrops on her face,
Made her look like an angel.
Or maybe,
She always looked like an angel,
And she was too blind to see her wings.
Still, she was blind,
Because she didn’t see her tears having a race with the raindrops.
She put her hands on her arms,
Looking at her in silence,
Feeling what she had to feel years ago.
She didn’t hesitate this time,
She cupped her wet face in her hands,
And let the drops on their lips meet each other.
She kissed her,
After years of hesitation.
She wasn’t kissing her back,
But she wasn’t pushing her away either.
They stood there,
Under the pouring rain,
Under the gift of God,
Loving each other.
She never stopped gazing at her,
She told her,
I love you.
She didn’t laugh this time,
She smiled.
She felt it,
Felt the thing that was there for years,
She knew she was stupid,
She knew she loved her too.
But, she put space between them.
She shook her head.
She showed her the ring.
Yes, they both knew,
This was never going to happen.
It was too late to happen.
She was getting married in a few months,
And she couldn’t doubt her love for him now,
After promising to give him a life full of beautiful moments.
She had to give up on her,
She had to found her own soulmate.
But she knew her soulmate wasn’t waiting for her,
Cause she was some one else’s,
And she didn’t have a chance to have her.
They went back to their dorm,
Turning the lights on to find a walkable way among all the books on the floor,
And after that, she turned them off again.
They laid on their beds,
A small distance between them.
Their eyes weren’t used to the darkness,
But even then,
In the darkness,
With all the blindness,
They could see each other faces.
None of them were smiling,
They both were crying,
For the love that could make them laugh everyday,
Make them hopeful everyday,
And make the days brighter everyday.
They were crying,
For the love that was worth spending mornings and nights for,
For the love that was finished,
Before it even could be started.
•••••
She was still walking down the aisle,
When the feelings faded away,
And the ones she experienced with her filled her heart.
The mornings they talked about literally everything so they could forget the stress they had for an exam.
The evenings they went to different cafés and had only a piece of cake, because they couldn’t ask their dads to give them more money.
The nights they spent 5 hours watching a 2 hour long movie, cause they couldn’t stop laughing at the scenes,
Disagreeing on the character’s doings,
And crying over the love scenes.
The sight in front of her eyes was filled with all the memories they made together,
All the lies they told their teachers, and decided to become actors if they weren’t going to be successful in college.
All the nights they snuck out to the park, and ate ice cream while shivering after feeling the freezing cold winds.
All the fights they had over stupid things, and the way they acted after that like they didn’t care, but they were both dying inside to talk to each other again.
Her ears were filled with the melody of that song,
Of their song.
They were filled with her voice,
The voice that was awful, not following the rhythm at all,
The voice that always made her feel better, after listening to just the 52 seconds she had time to record.
Her lips were filled with the taste of her lipstick.
The one she loved and used the most.
The one she had worn on that night.
On that magical rainy night, when she felt the love she had for her.
But as she said, it was too late.
She looked up and saw him,
He was holding back tears of joy.
With that, she fell in love with him once more,
And got sure that he is the one for her.
She took the left steps,
Stood in front of him,
He told her she looks beautiful.
She smiled and took his hands.
She looked happy,
But no one knew that she was trying to find the same feeling she felt that night, this time for him,
But the only thing she could feel,
Was for her.
She was trying so hard,
She didn’t want to accept that her love for him wasn’t there.
She never heard what the old man said,
She never heard the “I do” of the man she loves, something that she always dreamed of as a little girl.
She only heard this last sentence,
“Do you take this man to be your husband?”
She came back to the world,
To the church,
To where she was standing,
To when she was going to feel love the most.
She said “I do.”
But who did she say it to?
The man whose hands she was holding,
Or the girl whose eyes she was admiring?
“ It’s Dylan who finally figures out it wasn’t a cult” can we get this as a Drabble? If not it’s fine but 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️
CW: Referenced ableist language, referenced past head banging (brief), shitty language about the pet industry in a box boy setting
“Your stance on the human pet industry is pretty clear, obviously-”
“Obviously.” Nicole Berras’s voice is deep and slightly husky as she pats the thigh of the smiling, slightly blank-faced man who sits next to her on the plush red couch.
Dylan has had a lot of nights he’s thought about the way it would feel to have the movie star’s voice against his ear like that. I mean, he feels pretty fucking ridiculous afterward, but once he’d seen her in that Marvel movie that was fucking it for him, slam-dunk, celebrity crush slot taken by one Nicole Berras, she of the wide, slightly almond eyes and soft lips worn over a black leather catsuit.
Even if the one time he’d tried to show Chris the movie (one more thing Chris hadn’t known about, and how do you not know about the biggest fucking franchise in movie fucking history, that cult must have been boring as shit), Chris had done nothing but bitch about how there’s no way Nicole Berras could do actual backflips like her character does in heels like that.
Of course not, weirdo, she has a stunt double for that. He’d thrown popcorn at Chris, who had caught it and grinned before popping it in his mouth.
Yeah, well. They, they, they-they-they still should have put her in-... in some, like, regular shoes or, or, or or or something. Chris had wiggled his toes under the blanket they were sharing. Or barefoot even would have, um, would-would... would be more realistic.
Nobody’s going to be barefoot in a leather catsuit, Chris.
Then why make, make her wear the the the-the catsuit?
... Chris, I swear to God-
That catsuit factors pretty fucking heavily into Dylan’s thoughts, too. In the interview, though, she’s just wearing like a regular white shirt and pants and even that looks amazing on her. Everything looks fucking amazing on Nikki Berras.
Dylan checks his phone - an hour before Chris comes back so they can head to the dining hall together, which means an hour to daydream and watch Nikki’s mouth move.
“There’s a lot of Oscar buzz already surrounding your upcoming film, with celebrities as well-known as Vincent Shield speaking out and saying it ‘romanticizes a dangerous, damaging industry’. Do you have any comment or response to him on that?”
Nikki gives a brief, sweet smile. Dylan’s eyes, though, keep glancing over to the man sitting next to her, her pet. His name’s Yen or something, celebrities always give their pets ridiculous stupid names. Dylan wasn’t paying attention - the whole pet thing is kind of uneasy to think too much about, so he mostly doesn’t. Yen-or-Whatever is just... smiling away.
He looks fucking brainless.
“Vince and I have been in this industry a long time together,” Nikki says with a laugh. “And he’s always been kind of down on the industry, as long as I’ve known him. He’s of course welcome to speak his feelings, but I felt like there’s a lot of negative press out there about the system, and that really erases people like Yen-”
Oh, his name really is Yen. Yikes.
“-who are happy with the choice they made, well cared for, and just... you know, Yen and I talk about this a lot.”
“We do,” Yen says, and gives her a slight sidelong glance with a smile.
“And we just... wanted to provide a little more of a balanced perspective. You mostly hear about the liberation movement now-”
“Yes, Shield produced a documentary two years ago that was very pro-liberation that received a lot of critical acclaim, as I recall. Is there a reason you chose a fictional feature film as opposed to an answering documentary?”
“Well, I am an actress.” Nikki flashes her impish little grin, but Dylan misses it. He’s stuck watching Yen, who is watching Nikki with perfect focus, sitting incredibly still. Like a statue next to her, with his head slightly tilted, chin down, looking up at her through his eyelashes even though he’s taller than she is.
Who has he seen look like that before?
Weird fucking deja vu has the hairs on Dylan’s arms standing up on end.
“Feature films are really my wheelhouse, and I felt more comfortable working with a story that gave me a little more room to work multiple narratives into a single film. And Yen was so helpful, he really enjoyed getting to work with me on setting up the plot beats.”
“Right. So in the story, your character goes through the process of training after some serious life hardships, and things really kick off during that process. Can you tell us anything else about the story?”
“I can’t give too much away, Anderson,” Nikki says, laughing, leaning slightly forward. Dylan is still staring at Yen, whose eyes follow Nikki, whose empty little smile never so much as twitches, never fades. “But I can say... Yen helped me a lot with information on the training process! He was originally a demo pet with WRU so he had tons of inside information. The love interest-”
“Ah, right, played by... let’s see, played by Camden Oaks-”
“Right, Camden plays my love interest in the story - and Cam’s a big old sweetie, isn’t he, Yen?”
“Yes, he is,” Yen says automatically, almost before she’s even finished the sentence.
“My love interest is actually a handler at WRU, so they meet early on but it’s not until much later that you see how that initial meeting really impacts my character’s story. Honestly, I’m really honored that WRU agreed to give me so much access to their methods! It was really great of them, and Yen came with me on every visit.”
Yen’s smile freezes, just slightly, but Dylan’s still looking right at him and catches the first flicker of a very different emotion on the man’s face. Even that seems familiar, the way that Yen’s hands twitch, just a little, and then he is very, very still.
“Yen coached me quite a bit.” Nikki’s smile is all perfect straight white teeth. “Especially on dialogue, and how to get the expression just right. And all the work they do! Apparently Yen came with a pretty bad stutter, and one thing that they do is really give the pets individualized therapy that hits on their unique concerns to help them before they end up with an owner. So, like, Yen came with a bad stutter! So they really worked on that with him.”
Yen nods, slowly. “Silence is better than stammering.” His voice is perfect and even, doesn’t tremble in the slightest, has a hint of rote memorization that flattens the syllables and bleeds out all emotion.
Dylan jerks forward and rewinds a few seconds, then plays it again.
Yen, head cocked slightly to the side, giving a nervous, eager-to-please little smile. “Silence is better than stammering.”
Dylan’s breath catches somewhere in his throat, eyes widening.
Again.
“Silence is better than stammering.”
Again.
“Silence is better than-”
The barcode is visible on Yen’s left wrist, when Nikki pats his arm and he shifts a little, but if someone took that barcode off it’d leave a scar in the exact size and shape of the scarring Chris has.
The empty look in his eyes, like Chris gets sometimes if you yell at him or get into his personal space too fast. The hint of a slight smile, one that screams that he needs someone to tell him if he’s doing it right.
Silence is better than stammering. Chris had said that, when he was in the stairwell, rocking, hitting his head on the wall with tears running down his face, hiding behind his hands. Those exact. fucking. words.
Silence is better than stammering, stillness is better than what I do, silence is better than stammering-
“Holy fuck,” Dylan whispers out loud. “It wasn’t a cult. Oh shit. Oh fuck, shit, oh holy fuck he wasn’t in a cult.”
He’s going to be sick. He’s going to be so sick all over his fucking blankets.
“Chris was a fucking pet.”
His phone buzzes and he glances at it, feeling a wash of ice-cold fear straight down his spine when he sees the message. Chris’s class let out early and he’s on his way back, does Dylan want dinner early?
Chris isn’t even a fucking person. But he is, he’s definitely a person, he’s one hundred percent a person. But he’s not. But he is, but he’s a runaway, his name probably isn’t Chris, oh... oh fuck.
He really, really wishes it had been a cult.
Dylan swallows, hard.
What the fuck does he do now?
Bodyguard Jackson X Actress Reader
Word Count: 2.4k
Summary: After tip toeing around each others feelings for months, you and your body guard Jackson end up confessing your love for each other after an incident that causes Jackson to lose his patience.
A/n: Here you go anon! I hope you enjoy it!
“Y/n! Look over here!”
“Give us a smile y/n!”
“Come on y/n, don’t be such a bitch. You celebrities think you’re better than all of us. You’re nothing but a pretty face—hey man what the fuck?”
From the time you were a little girl, you’ve dreamt of being a movie star. The idea of starring in movies and moving to Hollywood excited you. You begged your parents to put you in acting classes and after months of doing everything and anything they asked of you, the day came where you began working one on one with acting coaches.
From sun up to sun down, you memorized lines, acted in front of mirrors, recited scripts to yourself and anyone you were surrounded by. When your parents felt like you were old enough, they allowed you to start auditioning for roles in your hometown. There was a point where you were auditioning for five roles a week but you were never getting any calls back.
You soon grew discouraged and you felt like there was no hope for you. In all honesty, you wanted to give up. There were hundreds and thousands of girls who held the same dream as you, so you didn’t think there was any hope of making your dreams come true. That was until one day, you got an email from a casting director telling you that you got the job.
To say you were excited was an understatement and although it was just a small part in a movie, it helped you learn the tricks and trade of the acting business and helped you get your foot in the door for other acting opportunities. From that day on, you’ve been booking roles left and right to the point where your schedule was packed.
You were one of the most talented and highly praised actresses of your generation. The more acting roles you accepted, the more popular you became. Unfortunately, with the fame and fortune came paparazzi and unwanted publicity. At first, you didn’t think you were all that famous to have people following you around asking you questions while shoving cameras and microphones in your face. It was all too much for you to handle and that’s when your manager told you to hire a bodyguard.
Both you and your manager interviewed dozens of men who were interested in sacrificing their life in order to protect you. For hours, you’ve listened to the potential applicants talk about their lives and why they felt they were right for the position. However, nobody was sticking out to you and you were ready to hire anybody at that point. Just as you were about to call it a day, the most handsomest man you’ve ever laid your eyes on came through the door and just about took your breath away.
He had dark brown hair, a defined face with soft features, the prettiest brown eyes and a breathtaking smile. He was also extremely well built; his broad shoulders and his thick thighs made it known that he probably worked out at least twice a day. Your manager motioned for him to introduce himself and every word that felt from his lips went through one ear and out the other.
You found yourself staring at him during the entire interview process and didn’t care that he probably caught you practically drooling over him. If he wasn’t there for a job interview and you were to see him on the street, you would’ve thought he was a celebrity. Your manager thanked him for his time and let him know that your staff would get back to him as soon as possible. Right as he was about to walk out the door, you spoke up for the first time since he entered the room and sat down.
“You’re hired.”
You knew it was stupid of you to hire someone based on his looks, but there was something about him that intrigued you and you found yourself wanting to learn more about him. The cheeky smile that he sent your way sent chills down your spine but the kiss that was placed on the back of your hand caused your mind to go in to a frenzy.
“I’ll take good care of you. I promise.”
That was almost a year ago and Jackson never failed to keep his promise. Wherever you went, he followed no matter where or what time it was. His main priority was you and your safety.
One time, you told him you wanted to go on a target run at three in the morning and he was at your house just a few minutes later. As much as you wanted to do things on your own without needing security, you knew Jackson was very anal about protecting you. The two of you went grocery shopping that morning and it was actually in those moments of him pushing you in the cart, playfully arguing about the best ice cream flavors and talking about getting a dog together that made you realize you were falling in love with the older boy.
He wasn’t a typical bodyguard. Most security detail you’ve seen that were assigned to other celebrities seemed stern and extremely strict. You could’ve sworn you’ve never seen any other body guard crack a smile or even just a little giggle before; but not Jackson. Jackson was your own personal ray of sunshine.
Whenever you had a press conference to go to or a movie premiere to attend, he tried his best to calm down your nerves by telling you embarrassing stories from his childhood or using cheesy pickup lines on you. It was hard not to develop feelings for him because you were around him all the time and he both did and said the right things to set your bones on fire. You were happiest whenever he was around. Hell, there were times where you forgot he was just your bodyguard and you would invite him over to your house to play video games or to bake cookies with you.
You loved being domestic with him and loved having him around. Sure, it was his job to protect you and keep you safe from the dangers of the world, but he was your safe haven. You felt like you were invincible with him by your side.
Over the course of him being your bodyguard, there were constant flirtatious banter thrown back and forth between the two of you with stolen glances and soft touches here and there. To him, it probably didn’t mean anything; but to you it was everything.
Whenever the two of you would watch movies, he would pull you in to his embrace and wrap his arms around your waist. If you were in the kitchen cooking lunch or dinner, he’d playfully hide specific ingredients where you couldn’t reach it so he’d have to get it for you.
When the two of you would play video games together, he would prop you on to his lap and hide his face in the crook of your neck. There was one instance where you suffered a panic attack when you got in to a car crash after speeding away from a bunch of reporters trying to stir up a romance story with you and one of your co-stars.
Jackson hated that he wasn’t there for you when it happened, but he did not leave your side once the entire weekend. He held you as you cried and left soft kisses against your hair in order to get you to calm down.
As much as you wanted your relationship with Jackson to go beyond your working partnership, you didn’t want him getting involved with all the unnecessary hate and drama that came with dating an actress nor did you want people to bother him or attack him if they were to find out the two of you were dating. You also didn’t know where he stood when it came to your relationship. For all you knew, you were just his boss. Someone he was being paid to protect. He was just being friendly and doing his job. You pushed back the negative thoughts and your made up scenarios to the back of your mind not wanting to make things complicated.
You were so focused on walking in to the building that you failed to notice that Jackson was no longer following behind you until you heard screams and a cry for help. The man who had degraded you earlier was now on the floor and so was Jackson, swinging countless punches at him. Your heart rate increased at the sight and you felt your anxiety growing.
Absentmindedly, you made your way back to Jackson and tugged softly at his wrist, trying your best to get him to pull away. You knew that Jackson could get in legal trouble for assaulting someone and you didn’t want him going to jail for something like this. You refused to live without him.
“Jackson—Jack. Let go of him! Please! Jackson that is enough! Do it for me—please.” It was obvious that Jackson had the biggest soft spot for you and the soft caress of your thumb broke him out of his thoughts.
“Don’t you talk bad about y/n or come around her ever again. I’ll make sure you regret the day you were born.” He got up and reached for your hand, quickly intertwining your fingers together and roughly yanked you towards the studio.
The amount of anger and hatred that he held in his eyes scared you, but you knew it was because the paparazzi was overstepping his boundaries. Sure, Jackson was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, but he could be aggressive when the situation called for it. After making your way through the halls, you found your dressing room and pulled away from Jackson’s grasp.
The atmosphere was tense and you had so many thoughts running through your mind. As you were about to open your mouth to speak up, Jackson beat you to it. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to—I didn’t know I was going to attack him like that. It was irrational and unprofessional of me—“ you gave him a sad smile before making your way towards him and ran one of your hands through his hair.
“You were trying to protect me. That’s what you’re supposed to do. He took it too far, there’s nothing for you to apologize for. If I’m being honest, I found it really cute how you defended my honor. It was kind of hot actually.” He giggled softly as he placed his chin on top of your head.
“I’d do anything for you, you know that. I’m sorry he said all those things about you and that I acted on it instead of letting it go. I just hated the way he was talking about my girl—ah shit—“ The blush that rose on his cheeks made your heart flutter and you found yourself pulling away from his embrace in order to cup his cheeks and connect your lips together.
Kissing him was an indescribable feeling; especially because you’ve been wanting to know what his lips felt like against yours since the day you laid your eyes on him. His lips were soft and tasted like the sea salt caramel ice cream the two of you had before coming here. His hands made their way down to your hips and all but gently gripped against your back while nipping and sucking on your bottom lip.
The kiss was extremely passionate and definitely worth the wait. Feeling him smile against your lips did wonders to your heart and to Jackson’s dismay, you pulled away. You placed your forehead against his chest and snickered when you looked up and saw the flustered expression on his face.
“Your girl huh? I like the sound of that. Took you long enough.” He rolled his eyes at your comment while pulling you closer to his body if it was even possible.
“I’ve always had feelings for you. You’re extremely beautiful y/n, but my feelings for you go beyond your beauty. You’re the most hard working person I know. You’re extremely generous, charismatic, funny, talented, passionate and you have such a genuine and kind heart. I never felt like I was ever good enough for you. Look at you. You’ve accomplished so much for someone at your age. You’ve done so much for so many people and travelled all around the world. You’re a marvelous human being y/n and I’m just your body guard. Just a normal guy, whose madly in love with you. I’m nothing special—“ the chaste kiss on his lips prevented him from continuing to degrade himself. You hated that he thought so little of himself when you thought the world of him.
“When I became an actress, I did so because I loved acting. I didn’t care about becoming a celebrity. I was always somewhat of an introvert. Sure, I love having fans and so many supporters, but I miss being able to do things I used to do without having to worry about my safety or being followed. I want to go shopping or to the ice skating rink without cameras being shoved in my face or feeling as if I’m under a telescope being scrutinized for every little thing that I do. Everything changed the day you walked in to my life. I always feel like I can be myself around you. When I’m with you, I’m not afraid to joke around, laugh and be free knowing you won’t judge me. I’m happiest when I’m with you Jackson. You never fail to make me smile and my stomach always seems to swarm with butterflies at the mere thought of you. I love being around you. No matter how nervous I can get sometimes or if I feel like I’m on the verge of a mental breakdown, just one look at you can ease my mind and make me feel better. You’re the best body guard a girl could ask for. Don’t ever feel like you’re not good enough for me. You’re such a wonderful human being and it doesn’t hurt that you’re extremely good looking, kind hearted and quite the joker. I’m in love with you too by the way.”
He grinned at your confession and began to leave wet kisses all around your face. “How about this, after your interview, you and I can head back to your place, order some take out, watch a couple of movies, kiss a little and I can go to bed with you in my arms?”
You hummed in contentment against his jaw. “Just a little?”
He smirked. “Or a lot. Yeah, maybe a lot. I lose my sanity when I’m around you. Come on, the faster you’re finished, the sooner we get to cuddle and make out. Now go baby. Make me proud.”
Animal {Avengers Cast x Male Reader}
Requested by: @gameloversblog Wordcount: 1715 Summary: You play a Marvel antihero who has a pretty bad pottymouth. You finally get your own standalone film and invite your castmates over to watch. Warnings: Foul language.
To say that you brought a new life to the controversial character that you were playing was an understatement. Ever since you were young, you wanted to play a comic book superhero, or perhaps more aptly, an anti-hero because you were always a bit naughtier than the characters you grew up with. You swore an almost unprofessional amount, but your charm and skill was enough for you to keep the roles that you had, you requested to do a lot of your own stunts for the thrill of it, and, well, you were a bit of a flirt with everyone that you came across. So when there was a role opening up in the MCU as an anti-hero with a bit of a potty-mouth, you called your manager and told her that she would receive a big bonus if she managed to get you that audition. Needless to say, she got that bonus, and when you got the role, you bought her a brand new car, complete with a big bow on top, and a cut out of yourself for the backseat so she wouldn’t get lonely.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, these were meant to be family movies, and you didn’t get to swear as much as you had initially hoped. You did continue with your language when you messed up, which would never be in the bloopers unless they wanted to get an R rating on their own, and it became a bit of a joke with your castmates. In one scene that you filmed with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johanson, you actually shocked Evans so hard with your language that you missed a fighting cue and genuinely got struck in the head. He didn’t let up about that for a good month, but it was all light-hearted.
The movie was incredibly successful, as you had hoped that it would be. The critics loved it, and there was even praise on the way that you accurately portrayed your character - but there was one complaint. It wasn’t completely true to the character as you hadn’t been able to swear as much as they did. You brought in a couple of ‘hell’, ‘goddamn’ and ‘what the f-’ before you were cut off, but that was the extent that Marvel would let you do. It was literally signed into your contract that you could not improvise.
But now you were all smiles to the press, though your publicist was always on hand to give you a stern look, or clear your throat if your language started to go downhill. “It was fucking amazing!” was something that you couldn’t help but say when journalists asked about your experience. During one particularly memorable interview, you spewed out, “It was so fucking cool, like have you seen this shit? There’s like explosions all the goddamn time, and those are real, they don’t just put that shit in during editing, it’s right there, like holyyy mother of God, there was a time when I was scared I was going to be actually on fire, because of how close it was. Fucking burning up hot like Rhianna’s newest cd, you know?”
That interview showed on TV and had more bleeps than an episode of COPS. And you know that to be true because Robert Downey Jr called and told you that he had compared them as something fun to do. That interview also ended up on some videos of ‘Most cringy interviews’ which you didn’t completely understand. You had a blast, you were being yourself - it was the show hosts who looked baffled.
Out to celebrate the success of the movie making millions in the box office, you and co-star Jeremy Renner decided to hang out at his house with a couple of beers. Now that most of the press was over, and you didn’t have to go to any more premieres, it was so nice to be able to just hang out with friends. You were lounging in his living room, bottle in hand, telling a story about a scene that you did when you were in an action-comedy movie with some other famous actors. “So Mark Wahlberg has that expression on his face, you knew the one, where he looks all confused, like he needs to take a shit and doesn’t know how to get it out?” You laughed, and Jeremy nodded, knowing what you were talking about. “So I took the chance man, I had to take it, I just blew into my elbow and it made the biggest fucking fart sound, I’m talking about camera breaking loud man.”
Between laughs you heard your phone ringing. When you saw your manager’s name, you were expecting her to come down on you hard for swearing in the interviews. You had no idea that your life and your career were about to make a huge turn for the better. “Yo and hello,” You said, smiling at your cheesy line.
“I’m not calling to bitch at you, believe it or not,” Your manager sounded excited about something, which peaked your interest.
“I would never use the word bitch - I’d more say it’s complaining mixed with nagging,” You started. “All of which I know that I deserve. So what’s up, buttercup?”
“You managed to get a starring role, and I mean, big time starring role.”
“Oh, is someone trying to get a big Christmas bonus? What a coincidence that this is happening around the oh so busy clusterfuck of a holiday. You know - I don’t even remember auditioning for anything lately. What is it, what is it?”
Your manager said the name of the character that you had just played, who was originally just supposed to be a one-off character. “You were recieved really well, so they want to give you your own film. With at least a Mature rating so you can use those words you love so much.”
“I can finally say shit, dick, asshole, fuckfest?” You said, growing happy. You legitimately got up from Jeremy’s couch and started to do a happy dance.
“To a degree,” Your manager warned. “We’re still in talks about who is going to do the script, so you might be able to have some say in it...”
“Thank fuck for that. Do you know how hard it was to say darn with a straight face? Who says darn anymore? I wasn’t playing Cap!” Jeremy snickered behind you and you shot him a wide grin. “I’ll even write the script myself if they can’t find the perfect person. I practically am my character, you know.”
“Yes, I know. Everybody knows.” Your manager sighed. “I’ll put in a good word for you, you know that. Just hang tight. They’ll be sending you an announcement soon enough.”
-
Just over a year later, you were sitting in the living room of your spacious home with your best friends and castmates all around you. You managed to get a copy of the film before the premiere, and managed to talk everyone into coming over and watching it. And you, being a devious little thing, created a drinking game.
“Alright, so here’s the rules,” You said, standing in front of the TV before the film started. Your friends stopped talking amongst themselves and looked at you. You grinned like a maniac. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood were hanging out in your house right now. Suck on that critics who thought you’d never make it this far. You were one of them now. “I don’t have enough alcohol in the house to make you all take a shot at every swear-”
You were interrupted by a couple of laughs, so you gave a wink to Paul Rudd who had been the source of a couple of them. “-So how about you guys just have to take a swig of your beer? And a double if you’re referenced in the film.”
“I guess that sounds fair,” Jeremy said, settling into your second-favorite armchair.
“Why do you want us to get so drunk?” Scarlett Johansson asked, raising one of her perfect eyebrows in your direction. You shrugged before taking your seat, the best seat in the house, your favorite overstuffed chair.
Tumblr media
“Instagam, snapchat, facebook, tumblr,” You listed off the various social media sites that you could put their drunken pictures up on.
“I think my publicist would actually kill you,” Elizabeth Olsen chimed in, cracking open her own beer.
“Great! Think of the publicity that would generate for the film!” You joked with that same grin. “Marvel Superstar murdered by publicist of Elizabeth Olsen! The tragic story of a drinking game gone wrong! More details inside if you want to play along...”
“Alright, alright, we’ll play along but no cameras, okay?” Chris Evans said, opening a beer of his own. You couldn’t stop smiling. You absolutely loved when you got your way.
“Alright, ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for the best Marvel film in the world? Now presenting - me!” You pressed play and the movie started.
Almost immediately, your friends had to start taking drinks because of how often there were curse words. Nothing too bad, but just the usuals. Fuck, shit, damn. Not the overly offensive ones.
Your favorite part was slowly coming up. You kept shooting glances over at Chris Evans, which the others noticed, but said  nothing about. Chris was oblivious, paying more attention to the film rather than to the people around him.
“Darn,” A character in the movie said, albeit a young one.
“Language!” The camera whipped to your character, who was standing there in a heroic pose. Weapon in one hand, charming smile, looking good for the victim whom you just saved. “In this movie, we say fuck.”
The scene had the right effect. Everyone started to laugh, and Anthony Mackie was nudging Chris, encouraging him to take double the drinks.
“You know, I wasn’t in charge of writing that line, but I keep getting the flack from it.” He grudgingly picked up his beer and finished it off while the rest of the group cheered.
                                   006. truth or dare and other rituals
REQUESTED BY; trexs346
GODLY PARENT; Thanatos
DATE; June 28th, 2020
WORD COUNT; 5k
WARNING; bad words,
A/N; I just want to apologize in advance because this is just pure shit. To my lovely requester, please feel free to pm me if you hate it. I am totally willing to re-write it. I just really struggled with this one and I hate how it turned out.
As you can see, I really cannot decide who is the perfect percy face claim. The dude in the previous chapter looks more like what i would imagine him to look like than most. But at the same time, rick describes percy like he gets more and more intimidating as he gets older and in the words of hazel he looks like a roman god. so, like i feel like logan lerman is perfect because he gets more and more attractive as he gets older, and in my opinion that makes him more intimidating. but i dunno, who is your face claim for percy? i need help ahhh.
TRAILER; in which the gang plays truth or dare with a twist.
-
All Y/N wanted in the entire world was one marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwich. But no, it had to be banned because of the stupid Demeter counselor in front of her. He was literally the son of the god of plants! Yet he was allergic to peanuts! Which were plants! It was the most ironic thing she had ever heard of, like Annabeth breaking up with Percy the day after the war ended, completely unexpected yet she still did it anyway.
"It would be entirely dangerous to all of us anti-peanut eaters," Allan announced snottily to Mr.D, who looked like he wanted to be anywhere other than here.
Just like her, he seemed to losing his patience and quickly cut Allan off, "Andy-"
"It's Allan."
"Don't interrupt me," Dionysus snapped, and Y/N felt a surge of pride towards her director. It was rather strange to be thankful for him of all people, but her opinion of him had changed once he had thanked Percy for all he had done for the Olympians. Not one god, other than his Father, had portrayed their gratitude towards him despite it being very well deserved. "Now, Andy, fortunately, your time is up for talking about," he paused and then grimaced, "Whatever you were talking about. Are we done here?"
Y/N took a deep breath to calm her shaking fingers. She had been twisting her earring non-stop for the past five minutes, and now that the time had finally come Y/N felt a serene feeling wash over her. She couldn't think, and Y/N was pretty sure her brain had gone on auto-pilot. It didn't matter though because Y/N had her entire speech memorized and a laminated sheet of paper just in case she forgot anything. Y/N also had handouts that Percy was currently passing out to everyone as she stood to present.
He gave her a bright grin and a thumbs up that made her breath stutter, from her nerves or just Percy she didn't know.
Y/N's laminated paper bended once she got up to the stand and she hurriedly straightened it out again. Y/N had always been a good public speaker, or at least she was comfortable enough to talk to her fellow counselors during these "meetings." But now, after spending so much time and preparation that all come down to this one point, Y/N felt bile climbing up her throat. Her teeth chattered, she was so nervous. Along with her knees wobbling so much that Y/N would have thought she had just gotten off the climbing wall.
She smiled out at everyone, then spat out her entire speech. It felt like she was flying, unable to register anything that was going on other than to get this over as soon as possible.
Before she knew it, all her facts and data had been said and Percy was leaning on the wall clapping and whooping, a beacon of light, her lighthouse during this insane moment.
The rest of the campers followed his lead, and even Mr.D gave a few slow claps after an eyeroll. He finally told everyone to shut up so he could think. Of course, Connor Stoll gave a few yelps right after just to make Y/N's day even more extraordinary.
She wanted to hold Percy's hand. Just touch him briefly, to know he was there beside her, that he would catch her in a heartbeat. Bring her back to safety and out of the deep depths of anxiety. It was hard to take in air, the oxygen she was getting was short and quick, close to a laugh but more like a wheeze.
"Alright, everyone out," Dionysus said, "I have to make a decision, and I can't think with your mortalness stinking up the room."
Y/N saw Percy opening his mouth, knowing he was going to make some smartass comment that Dionysus in fact had been mortal once, but Y/N caught him just in time. She gave him a look and he pouted, but followed her lead nonetheless.
Y/N felt like she was scolding Blackjack, Percy and his pegasus had the same kicked puppy face, guilty and hurt. She laughed at his expression and ruffled his hair. The black mop had always been soft and fluffy, but this time Y/N got a whiff of some sort of shampoo. Her stomach flipped.
"Ugh, nooo, stop." Percy said nudging her hand away, but his mile wide smile said otherwise. He ruffled her own, before bringing Y/N into a side hug and pressed his face against her hair. "That was truly the best presentation I have ever witnessed."
Her entire body had turned into a beehive, every inch of skin buzzing pleasantly. He needed to stop giving her so much casual affection, Y/N thinks she may just die from it. Die happily, yes, but being separated from Percy was too painful to think about.
Dionysus stood up abruptly, "Actually, I changed my mind. I'm gonna make this short and sweet so I can take a nap. The girl can get her sandwich." He exited with a roll of his eyes and Allan trailing behind him demanding a re-do.
"What? But I can die."
"Exactly, the less demigods the happier I get. Now, leave Alex."
"It's Allan."
Dionysus looked at the son of Demeter as if he was the dumbest person he had ever met. He was probably right. "Miraculously, I don't care. You're like a fly I can't shoo away."
The air was pushed out of her lungs, and the oxygen left her entire body. Y/N felt the shock from her head to her toes, like she could finally feel gravity weighing down on her. She took in a deep breath and let her clouded thoughts focus on things. She had done it. All her hard work had paid off and it felt really good.
Percy bumped into her again and she looked up at him. He had a horrible, terrible habit of being in her personal space too often. He did it more than the average person, and while it did make her feel more alive than anything else she had experienced, it also made her brain turn into sloth mode.
"I knew you were gonna do it," Percy said as they exited outside. It was so bright that Y/N had to shield her eyes, and her nose twitched as it always did when it was sunny. She always sneezed after going outside and being inside for too long. Percy liked to poke fun of her and say she was allergic to the sun.
"I'm just surprised no one had said anything." Y/N said after her sneezing attack. Connor Stoll had looked like one of those mimes during her presentation. He kept opening his mouth and then would abruptly close it while gripping his chair as if it was a bucking horse.
"Ya," Leo said out of nowhere, jumping on Percy's back and making him stumble. Y/N snorted, and caught his arm just in time. "That's because Percy can be very threatening."
Y/N raised a questioning eyebrow. She had to admit that Percy was intimidating, the first time she had met him Y/N barely had the courage to get a word out, that was until she realized he was just a big dork inside a body with a bitch face 24/7.
"He threatened Connor Stoll before your presentation, N/N. You should have seen Connor's face. Shows him for trying to steal my handy sack."
"Okay, Handy Mandy," Percy snapped and crossed his arms before turning to Y/N. His face visibly softened and he looked down at his shuffling feet, "I just wanted to make sure your presentation turned out perfect. You spent so much time and effort on it, I didn't want someone like Connor Stoll saying something stupid during it."
Y/N smiled softly, and nudged his elbow. He looked up before looking down again. Y/N went to hug him then paused, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. Would he reject it? He probably would, he did date Annabeth before. She's perfect.
But what about what he just did for her?
No one had ever been so thoughtful as to do everything in their power to make something that was important to her perfect.
She smiled, and ran on her instincts, "Hey, Perce."
"Ya?" he questioned when she didn't say anything more, only to be enveloped in a hug. She must have blacked out because Y/N doesn't remember anything that happened after.
-
Saturdays at Camp Half-Blood gave everyone a taste of what Y/N believed was Heaven. It was the one day that Y/N gave herself off. Sundays were filled with preparing for archery and other lessons to teach the younger campers. Monday through Friday left Y/N exhausted after all the activities.
Saturdays were pure bliss, roaming through the strawberry fields, catching up with friends, bonfires at the beach. Life became something out of a movie and it left her grappling for some understanding of how she deserved this.
However, instead of going on an adventure, Y/N was stuck in a boiling hot room, blindfolded.
Percy was in there somewhere. He had kidnapped her after a late lunch and tied a bandana around her eyes. It was all a little nerve racking.
It got worse when Y/N found out he had to guide her everywhere. Percy was not a good set of eyes. He himself had trouble staying upright on a daily basis, particularly when he walked backwards.
"Percy," Y/N whined, her eyes opening as she tried to see through the cover, "Can I please take this off?"
"No," Percy said from her left. At least he replied this time. He was closer than she thought. After a while, Y/N wondered if he had left the room and ditched her.
"Please," Y/N pouted. She knew she sounded childish but Y/N couldn't bring herself to care. Percy laughed, he sounded even closer now. She didn't realize he was invading her personal space until she felt his breath on her neck. She shivered. Gods, she hoped Percy didn't notice why Y/N was shaking like a tree.
She felt his hand brush against her shoulder and wondered what on Earth he was doing until she was being lifted out of the seat. "Let's go. We still have more to do."
Y/N could imagine exactly what Percy looked like, but she wished she could see it with her own eyes. Percy didn't get super excited a lot and Y/N always felt blessed whenever he did. She would carefully drink it all in, making sure to engrain every inch of him to her memory.
Percy had a habit of bouncing on the balls of his shoes eagerly, something Y/N was pretty sure he didn't even know he did, which only made it an even cuter habit. He would play with her hair impatiently but shy away from her touch at the same time as if he didn't want to make her feel rushed but needed to hurry the process up at the same time.
However, his hands were absent from her hair and instead guiding her to wherever they were going.
It was interesting how once one sense is gone, then the others completely take over. It was like she was completely re-exploring Camp Half-Blood but through smells... and she had no clue where she was.
"Wait," Percy said out of nowhere, after she had stumbled over a tree root, "You don't have any other plans today do you?"
"Other than being blindfolded and dragged around by my best friend, no." The words came out ruder than she had meant, but this was getting kind of annoying. She just wanted to get wherever they are going to go and bask in the sweetness that is Percy.
Though, Y/N didn't in fact have any plans. She really wanted to sunbathe by the lake but that didn't seem to be an option. But if Y/N was going to be honest, Y/N's always more than happy to go along with whatever he says. Which is, like, pathetic as hell, but Y/N doesn't see herself doing anything to change that in the near future.
"So, you want to be surprised?"
"Of course," she replied immediately, and inwardly cringed at how eager she sounded. "I mean, sure. If you want." She might outwardly cringe this time. Gods, she's embarrassing.
"Okay, cool."
Then, they start walking again until they are at what Y/N guesses is the beach. He sits her down on the sand, and if Y/N had known where Percy was then she would have thrown some at him.
It seems her wish is granted because he takes her blindfold off a second later, but she doesn't fulfill it. Y/N wouldn't have even if she hadn't been blindfolded and dragged around because in front of her is an elaborate picnic with two plates filled with marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwiches.
Y/N could cry.
"Percy," Y/N gasped and turned to him with a bigger smile than she cared to admit. He laughs at her facial expression and nudged her shoulder. "Annabeth didn't!"
Percy laughs even harder at that, "I'm insulted you didn't even consider this had been all me."
"Well, is it?"
Percy pouts, and Y/N snickers but she can't deny how touched she is by all of this. "No, but it was my idea! I helped set it up. Annabeth just remembered the blanket, the rocks to hold it down, the drinks, the plates-"
His answer was so incredibly Percy that Y/N couldn't help but smile. She reached out and placed her hand in his. "Thank you, Perce." He blushes and looks away. Y/N marvels at his remarkable composure, she knows if Y/N had been in his place she would have blacked out. In fact, Y/N should be marveling at herself. "Really, this is the sweetest thing anyone has done for me."
Percy shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. The way he always does with compliments, a quick dismissal. "I think you need new friends then."
"Probably, damn you Nico for never making me a picnic!"
Percy almost pees his pants at the thought of Nico on a picnic, but Y/N is too busy eating her sandwich and enjoying his presence to notice.
-
An hour later, the sun is going down and Y/N is leaning against Percy's shoulder. She wants to stay in this moment forever and ever. It makes her wonder why the Gods don't take advantage of having infinite time with their loved ones. But then she remembers that Percy is unlike anyone she had ever met and Y/N's chest warms with thankfulness that she is his first choice.
Y/N closes her eyes and nuzzles her nose deeper into Percy. She has this absurd war going on in her head, to either bask in the moment at hand or fall asleep. Both seem abysmal to what she really wants to do, maybe finally tell Percy how she feels but why ruin the possible best day of her life?
However, it seemed Percy had different ideas because he shifts under her to lay on his forearm, the other going to soothe her hair. His head props on top of her head and Y/N shuts her eyes for a second. Everywhere he touched seemed to send what felt like fairy dust travel through her body. "Hey, angel of death."
Y/N groaned at the nickname and pinched him. She only relented once he winced. "Percy," she whispers and buries herself deeper into his chest. His hand in her hair felt amazing, like warm water flowing down her spine. But it made her sleepy. "You know I hate that nickname."
"And you know I love that nickname. I mean you did save me."
Y/N doesn't answer for a few seconds but sits up with a huff after he softly tugs at her roots. "All I did was relay what my Father saw and managed to warn you from your potential death, which is totally against all the ancient laws. You need to keep quiet about it."
"No one is here!"
Y/N looked around and realized he was right. No one was on the beach for miles except them. She wondered how he got everyone to leave. "You're annoying."
Percy laughs. Once she cuddles up against him again, she can feel it. "Wait, no. I have something to tell you."
"What?"
"You need to get up."
"Ugh, why?" She mumbled but did what he said anyway.
Y/N stared at him expectantly for a while but then decided to give him a few seconds to collect his thoughts. Y/N knows how hard it is to make ideas into words, especially if it's important to her. Looking at him now, it looked like whatever he was about to say was important to him.
Her hand grabbed his in the meantime. It doesn't help her focus whatsoever but Y/N hopes it gives Percy the encouragement he needs. "Listen, we've known each other for..." He trailed off as he thought about it. His thumb rubbed across the back of her hand, and in all honesty, Y/N wished she could say she had been able to pay attention after that. But with the amount of warmth glowing through her from his gesture, all focus had gone out the window. "A really long time now, and umm, for a while you've been my best friend. But recently I have been having thoughts that best friends really shouldn't have and." He paused, and she heard her heartbeat one, two, three times before she registered what he had said.
Was he doing what she thought he was doing?
Hearing a slight squeal from behind them, Percy paused and Y/N followed suit. He stopped rubbing her hand, but that didn't stop the fairy dust that seemed to travel faster and further every second. There was another squeal and Percy let out a groan. Pulling away from him, she looked over her shoulder to catch sight of the rest of the seven. Piper and Hazel being at the front and gushing to each other, obviously having seen Percy and Y/N.
He glared at his friends, looking for something to throw but coming up with nothing. They laughed and headed over to Percy's picnic as he ordered, "Go away!"
Reluctantly the gang left, but Y/N could still see them giggling and watching her exchange with Percy. It seemed Percy did too because he turned his attention back to Y/N to find her getting up. Catching a hold of her elbow to stop her, he raised an eyebrow when she looked back at him. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Nowhere?" She said weakly and he nodded in acceptance of her answer, using Y/N's elbow to pull her back towards him. Sitting on the blanket, facing him she watched him reach over to interlink their hands.
Percy opened his mouth to speak again but was interrupted by Leo yelling, "Percy, Y/N, when you guys are done making out and scarring poor Hazel and Frank. Oh, yeah! Nico too! Come play truth or dare with us! Piper wants an excuse to find out all the gossip!"
-
"Percy kiss the most attractive person here."
Percy hesitates, and during that short time Y/N panics. Her mind immediately goes to Annabeth. With her gorgeous princess curls and show stopping gray eyes. Y/N wants to cry just thinking about it.
"Well, I don't have a mirror," Percy finally says with a scoff and he squeezes Y/N closer to him.
It's only seconds later that Y/N feels him press his lips against her hair.
What that means doesn't register until Piper is asking her truth or dare. She can barely get the word, "dare," out. She was just impressed that Y/N had even considered what Piper had asked. Her entire body felt like it had turned into fairy dust, showering her in warmth and happiness.
Y/N feels Percy smile against her hair. It's all tantalizingly dizzying, the thought that he had purposely kissed her after what Leo had just dared him. The idea grows lovelier if it even can as she realizes that it's her and Percy's little secret.
"I dare you to..." Piper trails off as she scrutinizes both Percy's and Y/N's cheshire grins. "I dare you and Percy to go somewhere private until I tell you to come back."
Y/N's first reaction is confusion. Then, she recognizes Piper's smirk and it all hits her like a ton of bricks. Jason would have been jealous. Piper must have seen what Percy just did. Judging by the smirk on Percy's face, he knew too. Little stink.
He's also looking at the water. Y/N's stomach sinks, she's going to freeze.
-
Fortunately, she doesn't freeze and somehow manages to stay completely dry. Percy mentioned something about his powers being able to keep them dry but Y/N wasn't listening; she was too busy admiring the lake lit up by the moon. The next time the Hunters visited camp, Y/N made a mental note to thank Artemis for it's beauty.
With her face pressed against the edge of the bubble, Y/N felt like a child seeing an aquarium the first time. She heard Percy chuckle beside her, and she rolled her eyes. If anyone here was the seaweed brain, it was him. He had all of this wonder at the brink of his fingertips, yet he never sued it to his advantage. Thanatos, if she had his powers Y/N was sure she would be sleeping here every night.
Percy pouts from next to her, and continuously pokes her. It wasn't until the sixth poke and a call of her nickname did Y/N look over at him. He was being so incredibly irritating. Honestly, why was he not taking this in? "What?"
"I'm bored," he replied and slumped against the border of the bubble. Y/N gaped at him. How could he be bored? "And you're not paying attention to me."
Y/N rolled her eyes. He was a seventeen year old boy! Almost an adult and he couldn't even keep himself occupied. "It's not my problem your friends dared us to come down here."
Percy gasped dramatically, and gave her his puppy dog face. He looked so much like a baby seal that Y/N almost melted. Almost. She turns towards him and shoves his face with a laugh. "Stop," she said and dragged out the word, "You know I give in every time you do that stupid face."
"Why else would I do it?"
"Because you're annoying." Percy laughs and intercepts him, in a hug then rolls onto his back like a rolly pollie (or pill bug, if that's what your boring ass calls it). Y/N screeches the whole time and tries to claw her way out but his arms are holding her down like Wonder Woman's lasso, golden and ethereal yet warm and comforting. So incredibly Percy.
Sometimes Y/N feels like inside him there are two people. Percy, the dork she is proud to call her best friend. Then, Perseus, the man who resembles more of a god like being, who saved the world twice in a year.
She loves him.
The realization is like smoke, curling around her lungs and choking her into submission. Y/N wants to tell him, and it seems Percy wants to tell her something too because he's gone quiet and limp again. It's just them lying there on top of each other, staring into each other's abyss, trying and failing to conclude what the other is thinking.
There serene moment is interrupted by the bubble popping, and now it's not smoke choking her, it water. Lots and lots of water. It's dark. Y/N can't make out Percy's figure and it only makes her panic more vibrant.
But then there he is, and then it's not Percy. It's some other being, pulling her into his grasp as she sinks and Y/N can breathe again. Her lungs are failing her as she doubles over inside the air bubble. The man beside her puts a hand on her back, and all the blockage seeps away until her burning lungs take in deep breaths of air.
She collapses on the edge, and he kneels beside her. The man is certainly not Percy. He has blonde hair and biceps and triceps, and a bunch of other ceps that Y/N couldn't name if she tried. She leans on the bubble and just stares dazedly at him. She would much rather be looking at Percy but she's so tired and her mind is probably very slow from lack of oxygen. It doesn't matter because she doesn't know who this man is but he saved her.
Y/N briefly entertains the thought of Poseidon but then shoos it away. He wouldn't care to save some child of Thanatos.
It not until they are almost at the surface of the water, that Y/N realizes they have gone up. Percy is nowhere to be seen. She feels oddly empty, as if someone had carved a hole in the pit of her stomach.
But before she can really register Percy's absence, they are surfacing and the freezing air feels marvelous in her chest. Voices are calling and screaming, yet so very distant. The man who saved her, drags her to shore.
He's still holding her as Y/N sluggishly leans against his chest. She sees Leo, Piper, Jason, and the rest all staring at her vigilantly. But then her eyes land on Percy and it feels like air doesn't matter anymore because he is staring at her with such an intense look that all oxygen escapes her once again.
"Keep your hands off my girl." Percy spits out, then shuts his mouth just as quickly. It looks like he hadn't even thought about what he said before saying it.
Something warm swells inside of her, like a star exploding inside her chest. Adoration? Compassion? She's not quite sure what it is, but it tugs at her stomach and pulls Y/N towards him. Without realizing it, she's wrapping her arms around his waist and Y/N's hugging him. After a moment, Percy returns the hug, arms hold her close as she listened to the way his heart hammered in his chest, warmth filling every cell in her body.
It's nice, and it's everything Y/N needs and yearns for in the world.
He pulls back for a moment and the loss of warmth makes her whine but it's lost inside Percy's mouth as he kisses her. Y/N can't register anything after that, because it's just a brush of lips if that even counts but it's desperate and lovely, and everything in between. It tells her all she wants to hear.
They stay like that for a while, their foreheads touching, noses brushing, her lips trembling against his. His hands are grasping at her hair and face, and hers are clutching his shirt. "I thought I lost you," he finally mumbles after a while. It sends the fairy dust down her spine, the way his lips move against hers. Y/N presses her lips against his tighter, she hears Percy take a short intake of breath.
She finds out later that it was Trident who saved her. Y/N feels the need to thank him for blessing her with Percy.
A/N; I don't think I can even explain how much I loathe how this turned out. I literally have re-written this four times now though and it just is not looking great. This is the best version of it though, so I hope someone enjoys it. I just feel like everyone loved the last one and I felt really pressured this time? If that makes sense but of course it turns out to be my most shitty one. So, requester if you hate it as much as I do please please tell me! I am so willing to rewrite it for you! It's super short, only 5k, so let me know!
Requests are closed as of sometime this week. Sorry everyone! I need some time to work on my current ones!
Also, does this ever happen to some of you where you will read a book or fanfiction and your writing kind of changes because you just read theres before because me too.
I hope everyone is having a good day today! My four year anniversary is this Thursday and I have a surprise for you all that I am super excited about, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
