For Bombalurina week I want to celebrate two of my favorite Bombalurina's: Birgit Arquin (first cast Bombalurina in the Vienna revival) and Petra Ilse Dam (first cast Tantomile in Vienna and later first cast Bombalurina in the 2022-23 Korea tour) by looking at how they each approach the first minute of their solo in Macavity.

These aren't at exactly the same angle because we weren't in the same seats, but I think you get the idea of how precise and controlled Birgit's Bombalurina is whereas Petra's Bombalurina is much more lingering, fully enjoying each slow, sweeping motion.

Also, it's really interesting to see where they punctuate the choreography, because these are exactly the same 57 seconds of the song, but I had to change the length of each gif by a second to not catch them in very awkward mid-motion.

And because we all deserve a treat: One of the best things about Macavity in German is listening to Birgit Aquin purr. (Also pls enjoy Jo Lucy as Demeter.)

We got to see Petra Ilse Dam as Bombalurina in both Vienna and Korea (she is a fantastic first cast Tantomile). She's sultry and sexy and absolutely gorgeous. Also she stood right next to cryptidvoid and I during one of the Korea performances and 😳😳

Her Bomba obviously has something Personal going on with Grizabella. Notice this move:

She let's Grizabella get SO CLOSE before suddenly taking that paw away. That is cold. (And brilliant)

And Birgit purring again. Because there can never be too much. (And Jo Lucy as Demeter)

For this entry to @bombawife‘s OC week, I wanted to offer up my versions of the nameless henchqueen quartet from the 2019 movie--all from wealthy human families, dazzled by Macavity and the Mouser’s Palace, now adapting to their new lives on the streets of his criminal empire.

CONGRATULATIONS

You get to cast your own version of Cats to be filmed and turned into a movie!!! the only problem is you can't pick anyone from the 1998 movie, Unless it's for a different role then they were in the move then it's ok but is has to be a role they have once played in the past even if it was as a swing/cover (EX: Fergus Logan as Misto or Veerle Casteleyn as Victoria)

They can be from any production no matter the year or language used and you can pick actors from non-replicas too

Characters like Gus jr., George, and Exotica can be removed if you can't think of anyone but everyone else must stay and you can add other swings of you want and if need be you can change who plays the Rumpus cat and Macavity can have his own Actor if you want. and if you want a actor but they played the character under a different name (EX: Sillabub, Admetus, Carbuckety, Bill Bailly) they are allowed just keep the names from the 1998 movie
