The actual designs on paper are honestly really good... not my favorite, but they're interesting and are a good mix of London and Bway designs. It's just that none of the performers actually DO these designs when they do their makeup.

for tumble i really hate the mismatching shades of off-white makeup, (it doesnt look purposeful even though it almost certainly is) but that being said, the idea of 'inverting' tumble's makeup for dark-skinned performers so they dont have to slather their faces in white paint is actually a cute idea. like get rid of the beige muzzle and make the wig more brown than white & we might be cooking here

Tech rehearsals have started in Düsseldorf, Germany for the International Tour, and it is that magical time whern new performers see themselves in full costume for the very first time.

Olivia Barnett-Legh has achieved Full Cat as Bombalurina.

A group of Jessie-Jae Davis as Tantomile, Bailey Johnson as Coricopat, Theo Reece as Bill Bailey, and Hazel Baldwin as Jennyanydots.

A Gumbie Tap costume for Hazel, and a birthday Grizabella for Lucy May Barker.

A energized Marco Venturini as Admetus, and the effects of rehearsals with Fin Adams as Carbucketty.

Opening night is coming up this Wednesday, on the 9th.

Wip updated? I’m soooo excited for the gold rush povs and the human au!

finished the first half of the finale for the celeb/soulmate au. i wrote it once and hated it then re-wrote it and hated it and shockingly enough, the third time was the charm and i like what i have now well enough

i did another bit of the gold rush prequel. i thought i knew where this one was ending but now im not sure.

i wrote another What If for gold rush instead of doing anything productive

also may be bold of me to mention this one bc i stalled out hard on it already, but i have a wip about jemima joining forces with macavity when demeter falls gravely ill #fatherdaughterroadtrip

i have done very little tugger pov gold rush. but i did re-read what i have the other day, and i was reminded how much i like the parts i like and how much i hate the parts i hate, haha

And hell while I'm pulling out wips, heres another one i was re-reading the other day, it's a 5+1 in the universe of my celeb/soulmate au, it's about tugger's childhood and him being the reigning king of ADHD (hes 8 and munk's 12 here)

one of my favorite tuggoff phenomenons is tugger and misto doing some dorky gimmick that looks almost certainly rehearsed (the wiggledance for example). i just think its the best bc

a) theres an implication there that they spend some amount of their free time together putting together stuff like that which is cute

b) their attention-seeking little asses actually waste time on dumb things like that, which is very funny

c) misto starts the show like 'UM THIS TUGGER GUY SUCKS AND IS BORING. LOL' and then an hour later he's literally doing the cat version of a secret handshake with the guy, which is hilarious
