Bursa Sanayicileri ve İşinsanları Derneği (BUSİAD) Gıda ve Tarım Uzmanlık Grubu tarafından düzenlenen “Gıda ve Tarımın Geleceği” başlıklı zirve BUSİAD Evi Toplantı Salonu’nda iki oturum halinde gerçekleştirildi.

BURSA (İGFA) – Zirvenin açılışında konuşan Gıda ve Tarım Uzmanlık Grubu Sorumlusu BUSİAD Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Lale Yıldız, “İlkini düzenlediğimiz bu zirve, BUSİAD’ın “Sanayi, Tarım ve Turizm ile Gelişen Bursa” vizyonunun somut bir yansıması olarak da hayata geçmiş oldu” sözleriyle başlayan Yıldız, “Tarım ve gıda sektörü stratejik bir öneme sahip. İklim değişikliği, hızlı nüfus artışı ve doğal kaynakların sınırlı olması bu sektörde yeni yaklaşımların geliştirilmesini zorunlu kılıyor. Teknoloji sadece sanayiye değil tarıma da ivme kazandıran bir güç haline geldi. Gıda ve tarım çok ciddi sıkıntılar içinde. Ancak bununla birlikte umut verici adımlar atıldığını da görüyoruz. Bu tür çığır açıcı çalışmalar bize büyük umutlar da veriyor. İlham verici işler yapıldığını da göstermek istiyoruz. Zirvenin size yeni ufuklar açacağını umuyoruz.” diye konuştu.

BUSİAD Gıda ve Tarım Uzmanlık Grubu Başkanı ve Gıda Mühendisleri Odası Bursa Şube Başkanı Serkan Durmuş da, “Ülkemizde insanlarımızın yüzde 22’si yeterli gıdaya ulaşamamakta, yüzde 8.5’i ise açlık sınırında yaşamaktadır. Dünyada gıda fiyatları düşerken ülkemizde artmaya devam etmektedir. Sorunlardan ziyade çözümleri konuşmak için buradayız. Gıda sanayinin başkenti konumundaki bir kent olan Bursa’dan verilecek mesajın önemli olacağının farkındayız” dedi.

GIDANIN GELECEĞİNDE GİRİŞİMCİLİK

İmpact Hub İstanbul Kurucu Ortağı Ayşe Sabuncu Saraçlar’ın yönetiminde gerçekleştirlen “Gıdanın Geleceğinde Girişimcilik” başlıklı oturumda Biolive Kurucu Ortağı ve CEO’su Duygu Yılmaz, zeytin çekirdeğinden plastik üretimi yapma hikayelerini anlatırken, zeytin çekirdeğinden yüzde 80’e varan verim elde ettiklerini kaydetti.

Nanomik Biotechnology Kurucu Ortağı Buse Berber Örçen ise tarım ve gıda ürünlerine yönelik geliştirdikleri biyolojik koruyucuları ve iş serüvenlerini aktardı.

Çıktının kaça fiyatlanacağını bilmiyoruz. Tarımdaki açmaz bu. Tohum ve teknoloji işin araçları. İşin özü gastronomi. Bizde bir standart yok. Neyi üreteceğimizi de bilmiyoruz. Standart olmadığı için nitelikli ürünle niteliksiz ürün arasında farkın anlaşılmadığını kaydeden Solakoğlu, “Standardı sağlayacak olan şey paradır. Paranın gelmesi için müşterinin talebi gerekir. Bunun için de gastronomi tarafında gaza basmamız gerekir. O kadar dipteyiz ki vereceğimiz her eğitim iyi bir sonuç verir” diye konuştu.

Genç çiftçinin kalmadığını kaydeden Solakoğlu, “Köyde okul yok, restoran yok, hobisi yok. Köy Enstitülerinin en güzel yönü buydu. Sanat, spor, köyde yaşayan insanlara bir donanım veriyordu” ifadelerini kullandı.

ATA TOHUMU EFSANESİ

May Tohum Eş Başkanı Yusuf Yormazoğlu, 10 bin yıl önce başlayan tarımın evreleri olduğunu, Darwin ve Mendel ile genetik yapıları fark ettiklerini, konvansiyonel ıslahın başladığını daha sonra DNA’nın keşfi ile moleküler biyolojinin geliştiğini, sonra GDO’nun konuşulduğunu kaydederken, günümüzde ise gen düzenleme teknolojisinin masada olduğunu kaydetti.

Ata tohumunun da bir efsane olduğunu ifade eden Yormazoğlu, pek çok ürünün birkaç yüz yıl önce Anadolu’ya geldiğini kaydetti. Eski lezzet yok anlayışının da artık geçerliliğinin olmadığını ifade eden Yormazoğlu, “Dalından toplayıp yerdik eskiden. Şimdi kilometrelerce ötede üretilen bir ürünü tüketiyoruz. Artık böyle bir dünya yok” dedi.

Doktar Kurucu Ortağı Selim Üçer de, “Kendi operasyonlarını ölçmeyen ve operasyonları iyileştirmek için veriyi kullanmayan sektör kalmadı. Tarımda bu oranlar çok daha düşük. Dünya genelinde tarımda dijitalleşme yüzde 10-15 düzeyinde” dedi.

DÖNÜŞÜME PİLOTLUK

Kapanışta konuşan BUSİAD Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Buğra Küçükkayalar ise BUSİAD’ın Bursa vizyonun gelişen bir Bursa’yı öngördüğünü ifade ederek, Sanayi, tarım ve turizm ile gelişen Bursa için yeşil, dijital ve toplumsal dönüşümün gerçekleştirilmesi gerektiğini ifade etti. Küçükkayalar bunun da sürdürülebilir olması gerektiğini de kaydederek, “1961’de ilk OSB’ye pilotluk yapan Bursa, dönüşüme de pilotluk yapabilecek yeterliliğe sahiptir” dedi.

Bursa’ya yeni organize sanayi bölgeleri yapmaya çalışmanın tarım arazilerine dokunmadan zor olduğunu da kaydeden Küçükkayalar, “Onun yerine tekil sanayi tesisleri yapılabilir. Neden bu Büyükorhan’a olmasın” ifadesini kullandı.

Konuşmacılara, “ÇEK Kır Çiçekleri Okusun Diye” kampanyasına adlarına yapılan bağış sertifikasının verilmesiyle etkinlik sona erdi.

Município de Albergaria-a-Velha substitui eucaliptos por espécies autóctones

A Câmara de Albergaria-a-Velha, no distrito de Aveiro, promoveu a substituição de eucaliptos por 300 espécies autóctones num terreno na zona serrana do Município, informou hoje fonte municipal.

De acordo com uma nota de imprensa, decorreu no lugar de Telhadela, em Ribeira de Fráguas, uma plantação “com 300 espécies autóctones em substituição de eucaliptos e infestantes”.

A reflorestação foi feita num terreno adquirido pela Câmara e contou com a participação de estudantes, Proteção Civil, Bombeiros, GNR e Núcleo de Proteção Ambiental, com a coordenação da Associação BioLiving.

“Ao reforçar as manchas verdes com a reflorestação, aumentou a resiliência da área florestal e reduziu a vulnerabilidade dos solos, promovendo ainda a restauração da biodiversidade local”, salienta a nota.

Além de Telhadela, também no Monte da Senhora do Socorro decorreram trabalhos de reflorestação, com a participação de alunos do Agrupamento de Escolas de Albergaria-a-Velha.

Ali foram plantadas mais de 60 árvores, designadamente sobreiros e carvalhos, entre ofertas da autarquia e árvores resultantes de sementeira feita em outubro na escola.

A plantação mobilizou cerca de 60 alunos, acompanhados por cinco professores, que contaram com o apoio técnico da equipa de jardinagem da autarquia.

A iniciativa decorreu no âmbito do projeto “EMRC – disciplina carbono zero” que desde há cerca de uma década procura sensibilizar os alunos para o cuidado com a natureza.

Segundo a autarquia, uma dezena de agricultores e gestores de projetos de Portugal, Roménia e Itália visitaram o concelho, no âmbito do projeto europeu AGERECO.

A comitiva visitou a Horta Biológica da Lapa, constituída por 24 talhões recentemente distribuídos, onde foi feita a sementeira de hortícolas, ervas aromáticas, legumes e outros alimentos.

Foi ainda dado a conhecer aos visitantes o projeto de compostagem e a demonstração de boas práticas.

A raft of new bioplastic innovations is starting to catch up, though. And, unlike unsustainable fossil fuels, they are derived from renewable sources.

While bioplastics have the same molecular structure as petroleum-based plastics, which take hundreds of years to decompose, research shows that biomass-based polymers are also more likely to biodegrade and break down, including in industrial compost facilities. Bioplastic proponents believe they are key to making plastic part of a circular economy.

Here's a look at five ingredients that could make bioplastics competitive with traditional plastics.

1. Olive Pits. Countries that produce a lot of olive oil have a byproduct that can be used for plastic: olive pits. A Turkish startup called Biolive began creating a range of began creating a range of bioplastic granules created from olive seeds that result in bio-based, partially biodegradable products that can decompose in a year. The active ingredient oleuropein found in olive seeds is an antioxidant that extends the life of the bioplastic while also hastening composting of the material into fertilizer within a year.

2. Sunflower Hulls. Like olive seeds, the husks of sunflower seeds used for oil production is a waste product also being used to created bioplastics. And luckily, they're in near endless supply. The German start-up Golden Compound has created a unique Sustainable Sunflower Plastic Compound bioplastic – referred to as S²PC. It's reinforced with sunflower hulls, which they claim are 100% recyclable.

3. Fish Waste and Algae. The growing attempt to transform organic waste into plastic now includes fish processing refuse. A UK initiative called MarinaTex is using fish skin and scales – 500,000 tons of which are generated annually in the UK alone – bound with red algae to make a compostable plastic alternative that can replace single-use plastics such as bakery bags and sandwich packs. MarinaTex claims the biopolymer creates stronger packaging than a conventional plastic bag — flying in the face of perceptions that bioplastics lack strength and durability.

4. Plant Sugars. While PET is one of the most recyclable fossil-based plastics it takes hundreds of years to decompose. In response, Amsterdam-based Avantium has created a revolutionary "YXY" plants-to-plastics technology that converts plant-based sugars into a new biodegradable packaging material, polyethylene furanoate or PEF. A trial of PEF biodegradability in the natural environment is showing promising signs. "PEF degrades much faster than PET under industrial composting conditions," Caroline van Reedt Dortland, Director Communications at Avantium, told DW. Degrading in 250-400 days as opposed to 300-500 years is significant.

5. Mushrooms. Gadget blog Gizmodo wrote back in 2015 about resilient and biodegradable fungal mycelia-based materials which, unlike oil-based plastic, "create no toxic byproducts." One emerging brand utilizing fungi is Reishi, a sustainable, fine mycelium leather substitute created from a woven cellular microstructure derived from mushrooms. By emulating the collagen structure of animal leathers, Reishi fine mycelium is both sustainable and versatile. Reishi creator MycoWorks has taken the water-resistant biomaterial to the next level, promising the performance, quality and aesthetics of leather or synthetic plastic materials, but with a negative carbon footprint.

O projecto voluntário VACALOURA.pt, resultante da parceria entre a Associação Bioliving, a Unidade de Vida Selvagem do Departamento de Biologia da Universidade de Aveiro, a Sociedade Portuguesa de Entomologia (SPEN) e o Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas (ICNF), quer dar o próximo passo no seu trabalho e precisa da nossa ajuda!

A vaca-loura (Lucanus cervus) é um escaravelho iconográfico, protegido por lei e um símbolo das florestas nativas em Portugal. Esta espécie depende de árvores de folha caduca de grandes dimensões e o seu estado de conservação no nosso país é definido como "Desconhecido".

Em apenas dois anos, conseguimos compilar, com a ajuda de centenas de cidadãos, informação que nos permitiu duplicar a área de distribuição conhecida da espécie por terras lusitanas. Todos estes dados têm levantado diversas questões que são impossíveis de responder sem uma ajuda extra, além de que o projeto começa a ser impossível de gerir sem algum apoio financeiro.

Temos como objetivo melhorar as plataformas existentes e reforçar a componente educativa do projeto com esta campanha, mas também queremos confirmar locais onde a vaca-loura possa ocorrer no nosso país, efetuar estudos genéticos das populações nacionais e ainda avaliar o que acontecerá a esta espécie no futuro, atendendo às previstas alterações globais a nível de clima e uso do solo.
