Supernatural Season 1 Ep. 3 "Dead in the Water"

Sam and Dean look into some strange drownings that were thought to be suicides. They find the spirit is an angry boy who can travel through water. He is taking revenge on some townspeople for a dark secret from the past. Dean bonds with a young boy who can predict the future.

Dean and Sam investigates the drowning of Sophie Carlton. She is the third drowning victim in a year whose body hasn't been recovered from Lake Manitoc. Thy pose as federal wildlife officers and speak to the local sheriff, Jake Devins. Despite running a sonar sweep, they learn that the lake will soon drain because the dam is leaking. They also met Jake's daughter, Andrea, and her son, Lucas. Sam and Dean learn that six other people have disappeared in Lake Manitoc over the last 35 years. Lucas also witnessed his father's drowning earlier that year.

Sam and Dean talk to Lucas. They find Andrea and Lucas at a park. Dean tells Lucas he knows what it's like to see something unbelievable. He draws the boy a picture of his family. Lucas is silent but draws Dean a picture of a house. Andrea is surprised when Lucas gives Dean the drawing. Lucas has been quiet since his father died.

That night, Will Carlton drowns in the sink. Sam tells Dean about Will's death. They think the lake monster knows the lake is being drained and is running out of time to get revenge. They think Sophie and Will's father, Bill Carlton, are involved. The thing in the lake has targeted his children and Lucas's father. They don't learn anything from Bill, but Dean notices that the drawing Lucas gave him was of the Carltons' house.

The brothers visit Lucas again. Dean tells him about losing his mother. Lucas gives Dean a second drawing: a house next to a white church and a boy in a red bicycle helmet. Sam and Dean find the church and house. They visit the woman who lives there. Her son Peter Sweeney vanished 35 years ago with his red bicycle. Dean sees a photo of Peter wil Bill Carlton. The brothers think Bill may have killed Peter and that the thing in the lake was Peter's vengeful spirit. They go back to talk to Bill. They saw him leaving in a boat. The boat capsizes, and Bill disappears under the water.

After Bill's incident, the sheriff tries to run Sam and Dean out of town because they're not real federal wildlife officers. They sneak back because Dean thinks the hunt isn't over. They arrive at Andrea Barr's house just as she is drowned in her bathtub. Sam pulls her out of the water. She says she heard a voice say, "Come play with me." Dean looks through Andrea's photo albums and finds an old photo of her dad, Jake, with Peter. Dean thinks Jake was involved in Peter's deaht and that Peter's spirit is targeting Bill and Jake's loved ones.

Lucas takes them to a spot by the lake where Sam and Dean find Peter's bike. Jake holds the brothers at gunpoint. He says he and Bill buried the bike there after they accidentally drowned Peter. Lucas is pulled into the lake by a ghostly hand. Dean and Sam dive in after him but find no sign of him until Jake walks into the lake and calls for Peter to take him. Peter drowns him, and Dean finds Lucas.

Sam and Dean leave with Andrea and Lucas. Lucas is talking again. Andrea thanks them for saving him. Dean teaches Lucas the phrase "Zeppelin Rules!"
