14. that one thing i see in fics all the time.

on a broader scale i feel like every fic is just abt the relationship in it and not abt the characters anymore? not as much as they used to be back in myyy day or whatever. bc back in my day (literally 2020) characters were explored VIA the relationship. like the relationship was complex and fun and sweet but it also served as a vehicle for the development of the individuals in it. now it's more grrrr im so angry/annoyed/worried with or for this other character... agh what could it be... But like. no matter what Character it is. it could be spot conlon or buttons and it would still be the same story

16. i can't understand why so many ppl like this thing:

newsies in the modern era without it being even just a little of a mirror into canon's themes. i have always been a like "realistic fiction" hater a bit so doing a modern era au with like. no. thematic or character/story arc that even aligns to what newsies actually means is like. bro im bored. i want revolution. LOVE u writers tho this is soooo just a me thing. maybe. i hope not. pls get more weird again, newsies fics.

20. part of canon i find boring

some ppl would use this to hate on katherine & jack but im stronger. genuinely get bill and darcy out of here i do not care. it takes away from katherine's position as different/separate from the newsies. they r literally just there as a wink for the audience. in that same vein gtfo teddy roosevelt LMAOOOO he's too. present, at the end it's annoying and i'm bored

21. part of canon i think is overhyped
