I've read the Hobbit and watched the LOTR movies, (Tried to watch the Hobbit movies but found them boring) I edited the tags after Googling who Samwise was.

I'll save you having to go back to the post, but basically I'm from Spain and over here the translators changed his name to "Samsagaz Gamyi"

I didn't know that that wasn't his original name until literally today.

I knew about other translation changes like "Baggins" being translated as "Bolson" but since that word is used in a word play "Bolson cerrado" (Don't know how it is in English) and other character names like Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, Golum... weren't changed, I never really questioned that his original name coud not be Samsagaz Gamyi.

Also since were already talking about LOTR Sam and Valentines is close here, have a meme it's shared on Spain wvery year around this time

Lo sé, pero si Saruman es perdonado por Eru, volverá por Gandalf.Quizás ellos irán a terapia de pareja. 

Mis headcanons para ellos en en AU Moderno son:

Su amor está prohibido por la sociedad homofóbica  en su juventud.

Gandalf quiere tener una familia y adoptar a un bebé. A Saruman no le gusta la idea de un bebé, pero acepta. 

Ambos viven juntos y todos los vecinos creen que son “ los mejores amigos que comparten departamento. 

Tienen un chanchito como alcancía para comprar los muebles de su primera casa. 

Bilbo Bolson tiene siete meses cuando a Gandalf le aprueban la adopción. 

Saruman tiene sentimientos encontrados, por un lado, ahora Gandalf tiene al bebé que siempre quiso y Saruman siempre tuvo miedo de que su novio lo dejará si ellos no podían tener un bebé. Por el otro, él sabe que ahora los dos ya no duermen bien, sus vidas cambiaron y es hermoso y aterrador! 

Dura poco, porque los padres de Bilbo se arrepienten de la adopción y lo quieren de vuelta. 

Gandalf está desconsolado. Saruman está enojado y triste porque se encariño con la pequeña bola de grasa.

Saruman trabaja como abogado 

Gandalf es planificador de bodas y le gusta hacer fuegos artificiales a mano. 

La mamá de Gandalf está viva para verlos casarse. 

Saruman habla de su amado esposo en su trabajo. Incluso hace marketing para el negocio:”¿Te vas a casar?¡Mi esposo dirige una compañia de planificación de bodas, los fuegos artificiales son gratis si los invitados superan los 200!¿Que quieres decir con que tienes perros?¿ Qué significa eso?

No, seriously, I started shipping Gandalf with Saruman from the first movies and I said: “Yo Gandalf, let go of your fucking ex!!! Find yourself a better man!!”

I know, but if Saruman is forgiven by Eru, he'll come back for Gandalf. Maybe they'll go to couples therapy.

My headcanons for them in Modern AU are:

Their love is prohibited by the homophobic society in their youth. Gandalf wants to have a family and adopt a baby. Saruman doesn't like the idea of a baby, but he agrees. They both live together and all the neighbors think they are “the best of friends who share an apartment. They have a little pig as a piggy bank to buy the furniture for their first house. Bilbo Bolson is seven months old when Gandalf is approved for adoption. Saruman has mixed feelings, on the one hand, now Gandalf has the baby he always wanted and Saruman was always afraid that his girlfriend would leave him if they couldn't have a baby. On the other, he knows that now the two of them don't sleep well anymore, their lives have changed and he is beautiful and terrifying! It is short-lived, because Bilbo's parents regret the adoption and want him back. Gandalf is heartbroken. Saruman is angry and sad that he got attached to the little fat ball.

Saruman works as a lawyer Gandalf is a wedding planner and likes to make fireworks by hand. Gandalf's mom is alive to see them get married. Saruman talks about her beloved husband at her work. He even does marketing for the business: "Are you getting married? My husband runs a wedding planning company, the fireworks are free if guests are over 200! What do you mean you have dogs? What does that mean?" it's?
