Listen, friends, I've seen the whole "where would you put the one swear word in the lotr trilogy" debate, and it's all very amusing and everything

but if you do not think that Mister Bilbo Baggins (of Bag End) would be the only character who says Fuck in the whole trilogy (and over something very mundane at that), then you are wrong

Interesting that Gloin specifically remembers Legolas being an asshole to him bc that makes his presence in the Hobbit retroactively canon book-wise. Also interesting that his lack of appearance in the Hobbit (probably due to not existing as a character yet) could be in-universe chalked up to Bilbo never meeting him OR straight up forgetting him. Legolas walks up to Old Bilbo in Rivendell like “hey dude remember me? Thranduil’s kid?” And Bilbo’s like “oh…. hey…… you…..” while sweating bullets

I was going through references for dwarven clothes and stumbled upon those little hats dwarflings wear and i couldn't help myself but imagine Dwobbit Frodo wearing one. Then i ended up with a whole outfit lol. I wanted to make two variants. One for winter, explaining why Frodo is wearing boots, and another one for less colder seasons. I also wanted to depict the duality of his character, where he's a very sweet and a little bit shy boy and where he's acting more boisterous and adventurous! His design is still under development and i plan on adding more details!

Also i just cant not draw Thorin ugly crying whenever he sees his son (he understands Gloin more now)

Im so obsessed with Bilbo’s expression in this scene. Thorin just uttered the most heart wrenching, betrayed, strangled “you?”

And bilbo’s response was to pause and silently say “ok well first of all this is kinda your fault” before proceeding with composed practicality

Some more concept design for Dwobbit Frodo! Couldn't stop thinking about him and @belalubroski and @shujinkomononobe both inspired me to draw him! So big thanks to them both!

I tried to integrate both his hobbit features and dwarvish features and it certainly made a curious mix! A lot of influence from Thorins style also went into this concept since ive already drew him in a hobbitish outfit. Im definitely going to draw him more often now!
