i have a question

would it be wrong if I don’t invite my friend to my birthday bc I’m scared she will out me to my parents or other friends when i am not ready?

I am not having a big birthday

I’m inviting like 6 people to my house for some pizza/sushi and painting on cups/shirts bc i think that’s cool.

this from is very noticeably queer and there is nothing wrong with that, she just has a tendency to overshare about stuff and others.

We are definitely not the closest. I don’t have many very close friends and i like it that way. (I get along with ppl but not a lot real close friends)

I dont think my paranoia are homophobic or smt, my best friend is Bi and she can be more open about it at mines then her own home. I am just still questioning figuring shit out and i would like to finish that before I’m ready.

she invited me to hers less than a month ago but sge invited a little more ppl then i did so there’s that

it’s a very small casual thing and it’s not like ill brag and shit about that

we are not extremely close too but i feel like my main reason in my gut is wrong and a shit reason

Would i be a dick if i don’t invite her bc of that?

Okay so my first instinct is to say, it's your birthday! Invite who you want and fuck anyone who says otherwise.

But you do need to know that even though I wouldn't blame you for doing that, odds are there would be fallout. So you might need to come up with a plan for what to say to your friend if she asks. And at that point, would you want to be honest, or make up an excuse? Both are acceptable moves, but I'd have a plan beforehand.

And then I have to wonder, would it be worth it to just say something to her beforehand? like say you want to invite her but you're worried she might make you uncomfortable? Only you can decide that.

But yeah no matter what you decide, there's no wrong answer or dick move, imo. Just kind of think through the consequences of whatever you choose, and what you'd prefer. Would you prefer talking beforehand or talking after? Risking it or just dealing with a possibly uncomfortable conversation? Whatever you choose, I support you! <3

Their constraint is remarkable for you. Dottore himself is not very concerned with birthdays and the like, however, since it is you, his darling, he does make an effort (like he has for the last four hundred years.) Your gift is very Dottore-like (imagine what you will...) but you wouldn't have it any other way.

Pantalone would love to make your birthday as lavish as possible, he'd do anything you'd like and I mean that, however if that's not your thing you'd have to convince him that you're perfectly doing something simple with him. Which takes quite a bit, he remembers how simple your birthdays used to be during childhood and he wants you to live life much better than in the old days. However he does admit that although the birthdays were simple they were special, so really he's fine with going along with you! (Though you are receiving a hoard of gifts anyway, also a fancy dinner date.)

The kids of the House of the Hearth always make sure to wish you a happy birthday no matter what. Especially the sibling trio of course, for many years you've spent your birthdays with them and Arlecchino. Despite her busy schedule, when she finally gets off from work, she would be content to do whatever you wanted. Want to go somewhere? Tell her and she will reserve a spot instantly, no one will say no to a Harbinger. Don't wanna do anything? That's okay too, she'll pamper you in bed if that's what you wish.

Scaramouche would roll his eyes and claim birthdays are a waste of time, especially when you've lived as long as he has, but he supposes it is another frivolous custom of mortals who need an excuse to celebrate themselves. However, that does not stop him from finding a gift and shoving it in your hands almost roughly and muttering something under his breath as he hides his slightly red face with his hat. Would take you to the highest point in Inazuma and watch the view with you.

And Pulcinella, he would love to throw a party for his sweet child! He lets you invite all of your friends! Which are... the Harbingers... (who may all have a tiny crush on you, who knows. You received all the attention you could ever ask for on your birthday...)

They don't even need a big party or anything they just want to feel appreciated but uhhh that doesn't happen often, they usually spend the evening of their birthday either in a tavern or a stranger's bed LOL RIP

MC goes out of their way to do something heartfelt? Kallias starts drafting up some wedding vows in their head right then and there, but more through feelings than through words because they're kind of forgetting every word they've ever learned ever. They'll communicate their gratitude to the best of their ability through physical affection. It's the only way they know how. Get ready for hugs. Might tackle MC to the ground. Might pick them up and spin them around. Depends on the vibe in the moment. They'd probably laugh a lot, just giddy. They wouldn't cry, because they simply Do Not Cry, but they'd want to.

Galen - Honestly, they forget it even is their birthday most years. They aren't even entirely sure how old they are... they stopped keeping track a long time ago. Their birthdays go by like any other day and they're okay with that.

MC doing something cute and heartfelt for them for their birthday would definitely put some chips in their stoic demeanour! It just. It means a lot to them that MC actually cares enough to go out of their way like that. But honestly their reaction probably wouldn't look like much externally. They'd say "thank you" and they'd mean "I don't know how to repay you but I know that I don't want to leave your side". They want to let MC know how much it means to them, but they can't find the words, and they're also... scared. Even if they had everything they wanted to say perfectly planned out, those thoughts might never leave the confines of their mind.

V - They like to act like they don't care about their birthday, but they kind of do. It's nice to have the reminder that they're a person, sometimes. It's easy to forget when you've got a one-track mind like theirs. They don't tell people about their birthday regardless; they like spending it alone, usually not with a cake or even anything cake-adjacent. They'll wait til the sun goes down, and then they'll slap a piece of salmon or something on a plate in the middle of the table and stick a candle on it. They don't make wishes, they think that's childish, but they might pray a little. And perhaps, for them, it means the same thing.

V doesn't like the feeling of being known. It's unsettling, makes them feel almost—gags—vulnerable. MC finds out it's their birthday and actually does something nice for them? Makes them uneasy. They're not used to being cared about like this. They find the action unnecessary, but they're also not mad about it. It's just... strange. Weird. Off. Their hands itch without a weapon to fill in the space. They don't know how to do things gently, but isn't that what they're supposed to do, in a situation like this? Whooo knows. Definitely not V. The most they can do to show their appreciation (is that what they're feeling? They've never been so out of their depth before) is to engage in whatever MC's prepared to the fullest.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game icon and franchise. It would be ideal to share that along with Shadow’s game at SGF, but I wouldn’t be too upset if it didn’t. Does that make sense?
