Come back home when you have some sense
You can throw your life away just not at my expense
You’re not the son I raised
#jhariah#this one just rawrrfrrr#and then uh another line thats like ‘tell me did you raise a man?’#nice#im just listening to the new album to cope with nasty sickness and feeling out of it#god this album is really good it has every emotion in there like this song for example just the part where they scream the chorus its like#hnnnghhh#hm some other moments from the album im liking a lot uhhh i love re: concerns a lot#the part where hes like reading off the complaints and then the part where hes just screaming and its like BAM BAM BAM BAAAM#sasuke is so good and the bit at the end where its like ‘i just want you to know im so so...’#like hes gonna say sorry but cant seem to say the word for whatever reason and i know nothing about sasuke#but i has to imagine the fan girlies are eating gravel over that one lol it gets me#and theres just that like spooky echoing afterwards#the intro to fire4fun goes SOOOOOOOO hard i was losing my shit its awesome#the entirety of trust ceremony is giving me big feelings but specifically that part towards the end where its all quiet and you hear#its like whistling i think? like a marching band is coming in maybe#but it also kinda sounds like nature too and idk i like got a little bit um magical at that part cuz i was driving down a big hill#and it had been raining but there was a clearing in the clouds and the sun was bright and like at this particular hill#you can just see everything like the land stretches for miles theres trees hills the river farms all that shit#and idk with the extreme stress and depression ive been feeling its hard to have these moments where life seems worth it#and its hard to really feel anything anymore or to feel in the moment but idk i was just going down that hill seeing everything and it was#very majestic so yeah that song is definitely gonna have the same effect as pin eye for me#which i must mention pin eye again its still OOOOGHH very good it came at a pretty good time for me#yeah basically this album is uhhhh whats keeping me somewhat grounded rn i recommend 👍

“So studying drums is not for everyone [..] but for me when I was young that’s what I needed to do because I kinda.. I could play loud rock drums and that was it. And I needed to learn other skills, be it arranging, scoring strings, production.. just touch and grace on the drum kit, so you’re not just playing like crazy loud all the time. Turns out I ended up playing pretty crazy loud on this latest gig but you know.. it’s fine. Being a hired gun and a session drummer and an MD [..] it’s all about playing for the song, playing for what the song needs.. just keeping your head down, I think. There’s a lot to be said for that and knowing when to kinda sit up and play something of interest and when not to. And usually it’s 'don’t.', you know, certainly in the pop world. As I said before I’m playing with a guy called Louis - playing with Louis Tomlinson - and it’s quite a fun gig at the moment because it’s.. to be honest, it’s not that. It’s kinda some pretty bold drumming and it’s kinda like a sort of rock band, not too dissimilar to something like this, something like Biffy [Clyro] or Foo Fighters or something like that.. it’s been really good, to kinda go full circle with it all, you know.”
— Steve Durham talking about being Louis’ drummer and musical director.

KIMONO MY HOUSE VINYL!!!!!!
Also funny story which is that when my brother took these to the cashier he said something like "oh... Sparks... they were here one year ago"
#YES THEM BEING THERE IS EXACTLY WHY I TOLD MY BROTHER TO GO THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE ('there' being tower records in japan)#but i find it so funny that the cashier actually remarked on that fact too#anyway. you need to know that i'm feeling so very AAAAHHHH right now. all of these are such a big deal to me#i didn't think i'd actually own KMH ON VINYL at any point#also utterly shocked about the guerilla toss CD. very exciting to have that one too#they're one of my fav bands and i implore everyone who likes unhinged and very experimental and cacophonic rock to check them out#this album (eraser stargazer) isn't the most accessible thing there is out there but i really love it#(i don't even know how to describe it properly. it's just really something to behold anyway)#the plushie is also a gift from my brother!! i'll gladly take any name suggestions for him#oh and also sparks debut album. first album that i own both on CD and vinyl as of today#it's not even that it's my fav sparks album or anything (i do really love it though and it's definitely somewhere in my top ten)#it's just that some albums feel more like they 'fit' with the vinyl format than CD in sound. to me at least#one other example of that besides this one being gratsax#ok i think that's all i have to say about this. one of the most epic hauls of my life that's for sure#OH WAIT one more thing. somewhat unfortunate actually#which is that my brother said he's pretty sure he saw a latte vinyl#but when he passed by that section again like 10 minutes later he already couldn't find it. oh latte.......#it's ok i'll have it one day. i'm really curious what went down there though. did someone really snag it in those 10 minutes???#and yes in case you're worried i did thank my brother profusely for getting me all this#and now i'm going to force him to listen to the TMBG vinyl with me so that he's PREPARED FOR THE CONCERT#that's in 3 months and that he's know about for a year and a half. ok i'm done now#goosepost

If I started talking about Aether and sounding, I wouldn’t stop, you would have a 3k word fic living in your inbox. His thick thighs trembling, hands gripping at the sheets when Dew pulls the rod out ever so slightly. Aether gasping and whimpering when Dew is sliding his thumb up Aether’s cock to feel the metal under his skin. Okay I’m shutting up now, for the greater good.
hngnhfhhfdj oh my godhhdjf telling him he's so good, his thick cock is taking soooo much. and dew's so sweet but sooo merciless with it. yeah? like when you're fucked like that? and his balls get so big so fast. aether loves when he has a rod he can push all the way in and then polish the tip with the palm of his hand.
mmpf. yes.
#im not even that big into sounding but today i am#aether ghoul#dewdrop ghoul#the band ghost#cw: sounding#cw sounding#crow caws#anon

believe it or not I don't believe that Joe Keery is a terrible awful homophobe bc someone w a tiktok account said he was 9 years ago w absolutely no proof. and no, not believing everything a random lesbian online tells you doesn't make you lesbophobic. I'm a lesbian. I will write you a note.
#shut up az#Joe keery#like yeah if he did that it sucks and time doesn't necessarily excuse that behavior#but why are they talking about it now that he's making real art and not like... when ST first got big? when it would have been more recent?#literally doesn't make sense. except that they're promoing their band on tiktok and joe is on billboard 100 bc of tiktok#like........... that doesn't strike anyone else as super convenient?#also the alleged behavior literally just sounds exactly like Steve in s1 I'm sorry but......#calling someone a slur because of jealousy over a woman is like. exactly the thing. that's very coincidental don't you think.#almost like it's a lie chosen by a fucking idiot trying to get views on a video platform

This feels obvious but maybe it's not so. The silence in Paladin Strait is. The strait. That's the crossing. He can't sing because he's schwimming. Right
#and obviously it'll be a big scene in the MV im sure but he said they wanted it to be a sonic experience first#because you're supposed to be in the paladin strait and you cross and get rewarded with the secret track#this doesnt even feel like it warrents a post im assuming everyone knows this i just think its NEAT#so i want to talk about it#twenty one pilots#clancy#tyler joseph#josh dun#there's some really interesting sound design stuff on this album that theyve never done before#like the silent break & then also the intro to vignette with the strings and the vulture cry callback#and how they crafted the album as a loop that enhances itself by Being looped#i wish they got more experimental more often in terms of song structure like i would love an ambient / field recording mixtape by tyler#or loooooong instrumental breaks#i genuinely believe tyler is on a trent reznor level of production diversity but tøp is almost strictly a verse chorus 3-5 min song band#even if they play with structure and genre within that#like i wish tyler would make some fuckin merzbow type shit im so serious i think he could. he never will though wah

I think if you are bad at music and music mixing and making mashups and have no creativity and are unwilling to put effort into making something sound good that maybe you shouldn't consider yourself the standard for what people who do music professionally could achieve.
Update: OP of that post and I have blocked each other about it. Might seem extreme given the way blocking is viewed sometimes but actually it was civil and amicable (well. As amicable as it could be.) They reached out to me because apparently I had commented about this multiple times but had forgotten, so I was really taking it too far, so because I could find the most recent comment I removed it, and we decided to block each other to be sure this wouldn't happen again.
#I still feel the same way about that post but please know the OP is not a bad person or anything.#leaving the original tags I wrote on this post so get ready for a tone shift.#I HATE THAT POST SO MUCH IT'S UNREAL#FUCKING HELL OF COURSE IT SOUNDS BAD WHEN YOU DO IT BAD#maybe of you TRIED but NOOOOO#istg I have probably listened to those songs mashed up because I follow some emo mashup accounts and if you put even an ounce of effort into#it then it sounds fine. and that's just talking mashups using the pre-existing recordings not even TOUCHING on the possibility of rewriting#pieces to fit together and flow into each other nicely. like literally one if the bands named in that post HAS DONE THIS BEFORE that being#Fall Out Boy with What A Catch Donnie.#'I couldn't so it in 5 second therefore no-one could do it especially not the original artists who have experience with these songs already#and have experience rewriting songs to fit together and who would spend time working on it and practicing it before their big show'#like you didn't even ADJUST THE FUCKING KEYS TO MATCH#not even just PITCH SHIFTED ignore matching the majors and minors but you couldn't even do THAT#GOD#GO FUCK YOURSELF#ThornShadow.said

meme with a target audience of one (1) person. that is myself
#their stuff is really good if you like shoegaze/noise pop#a lot of their stuff definitely skews darker both in sound and topics though#the album pictured here is hades (the nine stages of change at the deceased remains)#it’s very good but if you couldn’t tell from the title. it is very dark#so big trigger warning for suicide and corpses. and just overall themes of grief if that’s something you’d be bothered by#but that aside i totally recommend it. even though i’m good listening to their stuff it still elicits some disturbing visuals for me lol#i’m gonna bump this post as propaganda though because i can’t recommend this band to anyone else 💀💀#my dead girlfriend#me.txt

I know it’s all just standards.
But Ringo’s Sentimental Journey is utterly charming.
We really should talk more about how he turns to this project as therapy as the band is falling apart. It’s pure nostalgia in a bottle but with Ringo jazz drumming and just having fun with it singing and adding these cute little improv bits. Blues Turning Grey Over You is a highlight for the “I just lost myself there, child!” laugh at the end.
It’s all utterly charming.
It’s a really cool collaboration too. He recruited different musicans arrange each piece (including Paul, who arranged Stardust, perhaps before the breakup drama heats up). George Martin produces and gets the big band together. They start recording more sporadically at first, starting Oct 1969. Night and Day, Stormy Weather (which got left off the final album but I love he tried it), Stardust, and Dream, all recorded before Christmas. The rest are Jan-Mar 1970.
It gets ripped to shreds by the rock cred sector. But Ringo using this as a grief project, sort of returning to childhood in the midst of a blow for comfort, feels more honest and healthy than he gets credit for. It’s also brassy as fuck. This is the height of fuck jazz,” and Ringo’s just like “so what? I’ll do what I like.”
George said he liked it. John slagged him off for it in interviews, but I bet he secretly liked it too. Not sure whether Paul ever commented on it given the dual release drama. He does his own standards album decades later, after it becomes a thing artists do. But when Ringo does it in 1970? No one was doing that.
#sentimental journey#ringo starr#blue turning grey over you#particularly sounds like ringos version of grieving#pringo folks yall should be all over this one#pauls recording all by himself while john and george recruit ringo for their solo work#we know ringo took that hard with that lyric about not knowing if paul will play with him#you always hurt the ones you love#thats why that quotes on his mind#ringo appreciation post#my text#hey hey found that post i thought i lost!#when i say fuck jazz i mean fuck 40s big band#boomers saw it as their parents music and rejected it for decades#ringos like i know its my parents music but its also sounds of my childhood and like a warm blanket and thats kinda beautiful
