The Masked Singer Season 5 Episode 5 Recap: Group B Finals ft a plot twist (Commentary & Guesses)
Hi everyone! Welcome (or welcome back) to Ana’s Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every episode of The Masked Singer. So, this week, we are back to Group B with yet another wildcard and it is the last time we are gonna see the groups on their own since after Group A’s final, we got the Super Eight (yup, it’s 8 this time... much better still than last season’s format). Anyways, let’s get into it (this is gonna be super repetitive from last week guess wise but I am gonna try to keep it interesting and fresh for you guys, don’t you worry):
Alright, so usually I would save the wildcard for the end as like a surprise, but since the wildcard got eliminated, let’s introduce (and say goodbye to at the same time) to the:
Bulldog!! 🐶
Tumblr media
Commentary: Ok, he sang Candy Girl by New Edition (which is really funny and ironic for a whole other thing, I’ll explain in a moment I swear) and um how do I say this nicely?... he’s a great dancer, but the singing is, what Randy Jackson would say, “a no from me dawg.” (Get it? Dawg.. bc the bullDOG... oh ok I will stop now). Anyways, yeah no, he was not good, I kind of expected this to happen honestly, so I am not surprised nor disappointed by any means. However, the person under this mask kinda did surprise me lol... even tho I kind of saw this coming.
He was revealed to be, in the biggest plot twist of the century, no voting, just Neicy Nash picking it:
*SURPRISE SHAWTY*
Nick Cannon, our very own host and Ken’s “daddy*”
*which is ironic because he legit just announced he was gonna have another baby
Tumblr media
Ok, ok, did I get this right on my own? Nope, but Twitter helped me out so thank you Twitter. I did officially guess him before he was unmasked (but that’s because I had no other guesses sooo can I really count this a win? Hmmm... TBD... you guys let me know). Anyways, BOOM PLOT TWIST BABY, he’s back! Just in case you guys didn’t know (I don’t really talk about the judges or the host here because I watch for the contestants not for them and it would make this already long blog longer and we don’t want that): Nick had COVID so he couldn’t host the first few episodes of the show, but now he’s better and BOOM he’s the host again... Neicy Nash was taking over for him and now he’s back! So yeah this was just a transition for him to be back on the show, but like imma be honest: he might have been married to Mariah Carey but he don’t got any pipes like her, but he’s a good host so he should stick to that.
Anyways, NEXTTTT, let’s talk about the remaining 4 (which are legit the same freaking ones from last week):
1. Black Swan 🖤🦢
Tumblr media
Commentary: So she sang Whitney Houston's How Will I Know and I swear she gets better and better each week like she murdered this song, it was absolutely amazing, my favorite performance of the night hands down. I really love Black Swan, she has one of the best voices on the show and I think either her or Robopine could win the entire season tbh.
I think this has to be (tripling down/final answer/insert buzzer sound here):
Jojo
Tumblr media
Reasoning/Clues:
10-10-10= She has appeared on multiple singing competition shows (she did a lot of those shows as a kid), she was on America’s Most Talented Kids and was a guest judge on celebrity X Factor
Montana= get this... if you are around my age, this will surprise you. Did you guys know that Jojo was the original person that the producers of Hannah Montana wanted to play Hannah but she turned it down because she wanted to focus on her music
In her physical clue, she talks about a female singer who passed away at a young age that she was friends with= she was referring to fellow R&B singer Aaliyah
2. Crab 🦀
Tumblr media
Commentary: He sang Give it to Me Baby by Rick James and it was a very strong performance, it almost took me aback the song choice. I didn’t expect him to go that hard in the beginning, the hip thrusts were a bit uncomfortable for me and he can’t dance for shit (I am sure it’s because he’s a bit older, not faulting him by any means), but it was really strong vocally speaking. He did actually loose his breathe and started hyperventilating under the mask and had to take a break to cool down (literally, because he was burning up under there), which honestly I hope he’s ok, I am not sure if he’s gonna last that long because of that hyperventilating (remember Mickey Rourke?), but tbh it would have been so unfair for him to go because he did an amazing job and I enjoyed his performance. He got soul.... crab’s got soul.
This has got to be (doubling down, like omg even the picture matches w the body type and everything, I am onto something here):
Bobby Brown
Tumblr media
Reasoning/Clues:
Mom kept him in the straight and narrow and taught him how to cook= well, he has spoke about how his mother has gotten him away from the gangs and trouble around his neighborhood and into cooking (he even has a food line, hence the Mac and cheese), which also made him take up singing and thus his band New Edition (remember how I said Nick singing Candygirl by New Edition was ironic? Well this is why... because crab is Bobby Brown aka one of the members.... also Black Swan sang his ex wife’s song so yeah this can’t get any more ironic) was formed
Big Ben= Initals, BB aka Bobby Brown and also he had a show in 2005 called Being Bobby Brown and one of the episodes “Bobby Does London” he goes to London
Ribs= he has a line of BBQ sauces and seasonings called Bobby Brown Foods
3. Piglet 🐷
Tumblr media
Commentary: This time, he went a bit softer with the song choice which I feel compliments his voice better, with 7 Years by Lukas Graham, which made Jenny, who apparently hasn’t listened to this song before (wtf Jenny, this song was all over the radio in like 2017 and you are like a radio host hun), cry. I mean it was really amazing and ballads actually suit him a lot more than super upbeat songs like last week’s Andy Grammar song and I really enjoyed it, I’ve heard that song a million times so no I didn’t cry but I still loved it. I do think Piglet will go super far, my guess is he will make it to semifinals.
I am a 100%, tripling down sure that this is:
Nick Lachey
Tumblr media
Reasoning/Clues:
Genie Lamp= He did a cover of Aladdin’s A Whole New World with his ex Jessica Simpson on Disney Mania 3
The “spider” who made him a family man= referring to Vanessa Lachey, it was supposed to be this whole Charlotte’s Web thing not really referring anything specific about her that she’s a spider, she could have been another pig for all we care
Dog Tags= in the physical clue, there are 3 dog tags, which he has been seen wearing (you can Google those pics) and they represent his 3 kids which his wife gave him before they had their third kid, Phoenix (btw there’s a P on the bottom dog tag shown)
4. Chameleon
Tumblr media
Commentary: Ok so he rapped again but this time the song was Hip Hop by Dead Prez (which I have felt like I have heard but I have no idea where) and I usually hate rappers on this show, but like he’s legit. What I mean by that is like he’s an actual rapper (well Bow Wow was too... but Bow Wow only went as far as he did because of his dancing, Chameleon is just pure rap talent) and his flow is insane. I am not a rap fan whatsoever but I can appreciate good rapping and that was good rapping, actually it was great rapping. Sure, he’s the weakest link of the four but he’s also the coolest one could argue.
Mark my words, this is as I said the last 2 types, again tripling down:
Wiz Khalifa
Tumblr media
Reasoning/Clues:
His little Chameleon/lizard= he has an 8 year old son named Sebastian (he also says Cam in the package which is his real name... by him I mean Wiz.... his real name is Cameron)
Martial Arts= the dude likes Martial Arts and has been trained in it and Jiu Jitsu, he has mentioned it in interviews, has been spotted training in gyms, it’s no secret at this point that he likes that stuff
Hot wings= he has a wings place called HotBox by Wiz and he was also on Hot Ones (for those unfamiliar, it’s a YouTube show where celebs eat 10 super spicy chicken wings while answering questions) idk if that counts but I am also gonna say it
So that’s it, guys! I hope you enjoyed! Follow me on Twitter because I do live tweet the show, it’s the same username as here @photolover82 and I do some of these in video form on Tik Tok too if you wanna follow, it’s photolover820 (close enough lol). So yeah, see you guys in the next one! Byeeee! 👋🏼👋🏼

“Instead of the usual arena sights like Dippin’ Dots or Papa John’s, all of the businesses will be small and local. Many are family owned or operated by first-time restaurateurs. The stadium-food initiative, a partnership between Bon Appetit Management Company and Levy Restaurants, also hopes to provide exposure to smaller food operations tucked away in various Bay Area neighborhoods.
The push came from the players, said Rick Welts, the Warriors’ chief operating officer...
The Chase Center’s food vendors will be led by businesses with roots in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, such as Boug Creole Deli, Yvonne’s Southern Sweets and a quaint peanut brittle operation named Earl’s Brittle. Filipino food truck Sarap Shop and viral sensation Dumpling Time, both located within a stone’s throw of the arena, will also find new audiences inside its walls.
The group also includes CC Made, an artisan popcorn shop out of Berkeley; Sugar & Spun, a cotton candy outfit in San Francisco; and natural beef supplier Five Dot Ranch from Napa. Also on the list is La Cocina, the Mission-based nonprofit that helps women of color open food businesses, and Old Skool Cafe, a nonprofit supper club in San Francisco that’s run by at-risk youth where Welts has hosted parties in the past.
Tumblr media
yvonne's southern sweets, owned by yvonne hines, is located at 5128 third st., in san francisco. the small business, known for its butter cookies and pies, is less than two miles from the warriors’ forthcoming chase arena.
“For small operations like Yvonne’s Southern Sweets, a black-owned business known for its butter cookies and pralines, the program represents a push by the Warriors to diversify their new arena’s dining options.
“I’m on cloud nine right now,” said owner Yvonne Hines. “I’ve been praying for it. I mean, I’m local. I’m right down the street from the arena. They could have picked anyone. They could have shipped cookies from back east. Yet they picked me. It says a lot about the team.”
Tumblr media
cook justin encarnacion tosses chicken in a spicy sauce while inside sarap shop, a filipino food truck.
“Kristen Brillantes of Sarap Shop can remember the days when she and her friends would go to Oracle Arena in Oakland, sit in the nose-bleed seats and root for the “We Believe” team, a decade ago. Now she’ll be one of the stadium’s vendors.
“We’re still pinching ourselves over this. It’s unbelievable,” Brillantes said. “All we’ve ever wanted is to introduce people to Filipino culture. This gives us a stage to do that.”
The new additions will be housed in several concession stands, sprinkled throughout the arena. They will join previously announced vendors, also local, that will have larger arena presences: Bakesale Betty’s, Big Nate’s BBQ, Tacolicious, Sam’s Chowder House and Hot Dog Bill’s, the family-run stand at the exclusive Olympic Club that sells hot dog-shaped burgers.
Fedele Bauccio, CEO of Bon Appetit, described the lineup as a “living food story” representing the Bay Area.
“We felt these businesses reflect the tastes of both San Francisco and Oakland,” Bauccio said. “And the options will evolve over time as new people come in.””

i can’t believe i’m going to stick my head into this bullshit BUT
it’s astounding to me how many jokes i’m seeing poking at the rick and morty fandom over the mcdonald’s szechuan sauce debacle, but how FEW people seem to mock mcdonald’s for hyping the literal FUCK out of a promotion where Zero stores had even 1% of the demand for a fucking sauce that’s like, what, 1 part sweet n sour 2 parts bbq? did i crack the code?
but seriously, stores with over 1000 people waiting that have 70 packets of this shit? it’s not like we’re dealing with a mom n pop shop, this is a fucking multibillion dollar international corporation. they put on their monopoly promotion about six times every calendar year, so you’d think they’d know the scope of their own damn business.
they wanted the PR of a show with a relatively big following without the actual cost of a promotion. every single thing where humans wait in big long lines for something they’re excited about only to be told after one, two, or five hours that there wasn’t even a hint of a chance of them getting to it will ALWAYS lead to crazy stories.

Dear Friend,
April 17, 2017
Part I Happy Easter!  I know it was yesterday, but I didn’t get to tell you properly. So - er - Happy Belated Easter!(?) I hope you had a great holiday.  Surprisingly, I’m grateful to say that I did.  Although, holidays at home have started to become less and less significant.  Nevertheless, I had a great time.  It’s been a week since I last wrote you. We got a new puppy and with my luck, she chewed up my laptop charger; thus leaving me with nothing to write to you.  Her name is Molly.  She’s a mixed terrier with another breed that I cannot figure out.  My dad rescued her at the warehouse he works at.  Apparently she almost got run over, so he stopped in the middle of the road outside his workplace and took her to his office.  She’s been with us ever since.  We don’t think we can take care of her, but thankfully my brother has offered to take her home in a month when he gets a new house.  You have probably noticed by now that my life can be a mess sometimes. So, a week without writing… Well, let’s just say, life goes on and I have much to tell you.  I will tell you about my day today, and then work my way in reverse.  I woke up with a cold.  It was 11:13am - twenty-three minutes passed the beginning of my first class.  I obviously didn’t go. Instead, I stayed home in bed, playing games on my phone, and listening to music.  I didn’t do much afterward.  I went to work to fill out some paperwork, then to an electronic store to buy myself a new computer charger, then I left back home, made food, ate, and killed time until my parents got home.  They got home by mid afternoon.  I was getting ready to go to the park to run.  I got dressed, took my energy drink, and drove to the park.  When I got there, I noticed there was a lot of people because there was a baseball game going on.  That really annoys me.  I don’t like running when there’s a lot of people present, but I know I will do it anyway.  I ran a 5K in thirty minutes.  It wasn’t my best run.  Since I’m sick, it was really difficult for me to breathe.  In addition, my leg - more specifically, my shins - have been hurting a lot lately.  I didn’t care about the pain - I never do.  So, I ran the 5k anyway.  I got home, and I was welcomed with a meal at the bar.  My mom heard me coming in from the garage, so she heated up some food she made for me.  It was salmon with wild rice and green beans.  I dressed the salmon with lime juice and tabasco sauce.  It was very satisfying.  I wish she made it more often.  After that, I took a shower and got dressed into my pajamas.  Now, I’m outside sitting down on one of our new tables in the patio.  It’s storming.  There’s a lot of lightning and not enough thunder.  It took a while for the rain to start pouring, but when it did, it fell fast and hard.  I thought about stepping out of the patio to get rained on - I feel like it would wash away all my sadness, but I don’t want my sickness to get worse.  Honestly, it is really calming to be outside right now.  I’m listening to the thunder roar and the water hit the ground.  I can smell petrichor in the air, especially when the wind blew it my way. This, combined with the occasional lightning bursts, makes it a perfect night.  I haven’t witnessed a storm like this in a few months.  The wind is actually breezy for once, and it doesn’t feel humid and sticky like every other hot and muggy day in Texas. What a great way to end the night.  Part II My family and I actually celebrated Easter on Saturday (don’t ask why). My brother from San Antonio, Texas surprised us when he showed up at our front door.  It was really nice seeing him and his wife again. My sister showed up with her husband, their son, and his mother as well. We all ate some BBQ that my dad cooked on the grill.  It was really delicious in my opinion.  I had steak and chips with some pico de gallo.  I know it sounds pretty lame, but I enjoy the simple stuff.  After we all had our dinner, my nephew, Aleczander and I went to my room to play some video games.  He’s only three and a half years old, but he definitely got the gamer blood in him from me.  We started playing Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U.  I taught him the controls of the game. Once he got the hang of it, he was having a blast.  He was screaming and yelling and laughing.  It wasn’t annoying.  It was actually quite soothing - nothing beats a laughter like a laughter from a happy child.  We played a few rounds while my sister watched.  She was stoked because she was finally witnessing her son and brother bonding for the first time.  Then, when her husband walked in, he started recording us playing together.  It started getting late, so my brother and sister-in-law decided to leave because they had plans with my sister-in-law’s parents.  They were going to a bar in a neighboring city.  After they left, my sister and her family decided to leave as well.  Before I let them go, I gave my nephew my copy of the game, but the 3DS version of it so he could play it wherever and whenever he wants.  I know he’s young, but hopefully he will get better at it and be ready to play against me next time.  He had a big smile on his face as he walked out the door.  My sister said, “Thank you,” and gave me a hug, followed by her husband and his mom.  I started feeling sick, so when everyone left I isolated myself in my room.  Although I had family around, I had a lot on my mind.  They were just a distraction.  I was really missing someone, so I tried not to get sad about it.  I was in the dark for a few moments, then my mind started racing with thoughts that didn’t seem to matter - I started thinking about things that were out of my own control. I started thinking about other people’s lives.  Why do I worry about everyone but myself? I didn’t want to get bad again.  So, I turned on my Playstation 4 and started playing Destiny.  The rest of the night consisted of me playing video games, texting my best friend Josh and listening to music.  Right before bed, I watched a few episodes of Rick and Morty until my eyes started to get heavy.  I wanted to stay up, but I couldn’t fight it anymore.  I let myself drift off into a deep slumber that was interrupted multiple times by a crying puppy, a full bladder, and a nightmare of my father dying. Part III I had a lot of events happen during the week prior to Easter.  I got my blood results back from the school’s medical center.  I tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia. I didn’t get checked for HIV because the school only does those on Thursdays.  I’ll have to go back soon to get checked for that as well. I doubt I have it, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry. I also got my general blood work done as well.  The nurse told me I was very healthy.  I was shocked at this news because last year my bad cholesterol was high. It turned out that my bad cholesterol went down by ten points - last year I was at a cholesterol level of 105, now it is at 95 (anything higher than 100 is not that good). It must be all the running I’m doing.  Speaking of health, I’m pretty proud of the fact that I have been eating better.  I’m staying away from really greasy foods and fast food in general.  I do have my “cheat days,” of course - they keep me sane, but in general I’m happy with my health.  I’m eating more oatmeal and I’m intaking a lot more protein. I make myself a protein shake three to four times a week. I’ve actually gained seven pounds of muscle.  That’s a lot for me in my opinion.  I still don’t have the body that I want, so I’m going to just keep doing what I’m doing.  I just hope I don’t have to actually go on a diet.  I love food too much - especially chocolate.  I’ve been hanging out with my friend Josh less often lately because he got a job as a server at a burger place.  I’ve been trying to hang out with other guys - gay guys - but they all end up bailing on me.  So, I’ve just been spending time with my old friends when I can.  I’ll occasionally go to Applebee’s with my friend Jenna or spend some time with the “Accounting Crew” from school.  The “Accounting Crew” is a group of six of my friends (not including me) from class.  We all hang out when we can and we see each other every Tuesday and Thursday.  I also hung out with one of my old friends named Alejandro.  He’s an ex-boyfriend of an ex-girl friend of mine (it’s a long story), but he and I still talk every once in a while. He invited me to tournament last week.  It was for many different games like Street Fighter V, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (UMVC3), FIFA and a few others, but the highlight of the tournament was Super Smash Bros. Melee. They were playing it on an emulated Wii system.  The games that were going on were getting really intense.  Some of the players started throwing chairs when they ended up losing.  Anyway, I went for UMVC3.  I had never been to a tournament before, so I was just there to have fun.  My main goal was to NOT lose the first round.  And guess what… I didn’t!  It was quite funny because my favorite character that I use is named Morrigan - she’s from and old game called Darkstalkers - and the guy that I had to play against first also used her.  He was a pretty advanced player using her, but honestly, I was better. She’s a very tedious character to use, so I respect anyone that knows how to play her right.  I didn’t lose the first match against him, but sadly I lost the two matches that followed with some other players.  (At least I didn’t get last place!) I met a lot of new people there that traveled from all over Texas like Houston, Corpus Christi, Laredo and Austin just to show up at that tournament. I look forward to going to another tournament. It was definitely a fun and good experience.  Some other events happened that I’d probably rather summarize rather than tell you in detail, because they are kind of personal.  One - Josh had sex with some girl, whom I just met the same night, in my house while my parents were gone. We didn’t go to sleep until 7:30am. The girl was supposed to spend the night. Josh came into my room letting me know that. I got upset and he noticed. He didn’t want me to be mad, so he pretended to leave home so she could go home too. He came back to my house and slept with me. I thought it was really sweet that he did that. He kept saying, “I don’t want you to be upset, Alex. I love you.” Two - The same night this happened, my straight friend from a few cities away whom would like to be referred to as “Fisto-Roboto,” (I asked him what he would like his nickname to be, and he chose that. I laughed of the thought of writing his name to you) started to talk really dirty to me. He has a girlfriend and basically told me he’s curious to do things with me. I wish I could show you what he said to me, but we were talking on Snapchat and I was also a little intoxicated on this night. The only thing that I can remember is him saying, “I want to suck you dry,” and “I’ve thought about fucking you.” He said a lot more, but I’ll just leave it at that.  Three - I gave a previous English professor of mine a copy of an excerpt I want to publish. I gave it to her to proofread and help me with my structure, vocabulary, and grammar. She also gave her colleague a copy as well. He’s a creative writing professor at the university. He read my excerpt and gave me amazing feedback. He showed me things that will definitely make it a lot better. He told me I’m a great writer and he could feel the anger, the anxiety, and the sadness in my writing. He also said I don’t need to take any writing classes; that the things he was going to show me aren’t even taught in a classroom. He was so helpful. He gave me so many ideas for my piece, I can’t wait to edit it. I should be working on it, but as soon as my previous English professor gives me her feedback. Unfortunately, I have been too busy to go to her office, and when I was done talking to her colleague, she was gone.  Four - I set up an appointment to talk to a therapist at school. I wish I could tell you what happened there, but everything we talk about is confidential. I will say, though, that it wasn’t much because it was my first visit. She was just asking me questions about my health: Do I smoke? Do I drink, Do I have suicidal thoughts? You know, the usual therapist questions. I can’t tell if it was helpful or kind of made me worse. I’ll have to let you know what the answer is when I go for my follow-up, whenever that is…
Part IV Incidentally, I have a quite a week ahead of me.  Tomorrow, I have an exam for Auditing that I should start studying for.  Then, on Wednesday, I have a project/report due for my Management class.  I really don’t feel like studying tonight, but I have to if I want to get a good grade.  If all goes well in school I could be graduating this December.  I’m looking forward to writing my report for Management, because, I mean, it involves writing! Hopefully I can keep my mind busy enough tonight to not think about people who don’t miss me. I just need to stay distracted: study, listen to music, and worry about things that are in my control - my life - nobody else’s.  Love Always,  Alex

Best restaurants in Arkansas 2019
Our readers pick the best.
The readers of the Arkansas Times have once again pushed their plates away, belched politely and named the best restaurants, chefs and dishes and other categorical superlatives for our Readers Choice issue. They sent in their nominations, we added them up and the Times, trusting in their palates, now serve up the results for your dining pleasure.
For the second year in row, readers named Petit & Keet in West Little Rock the top restaurant and gave it the best wine list award, too. The "around the state" winner for overall best was DeLuca's Pizzeria Napoletano in Hot Springs, inspiring our feature on the face of pie in the Spa City.
Scott McGehee (of Big Orange, Heights Taco & Tamale and more) added to his many Readers Choice trophies with another best chef nod. Dos Rocas, the Mexican street food and bar in SoMa, won best new restaurant in Little Rock; read more about the restaurant in a feature here.

All The King’s Men N. Main St., Downtown Bryan
Barbeque, bourbon, and beer are the house specialties at the new All The King’s Men, now open in Downtown Bryan next door to the Proudest Monkey.
Always Cravin’ Pit BBQ Mobile / Pop Up • 979-204-6222
Always Cravin’ Pit BBQ doesn’t do chopped brisket. Sorry! We do chunks of sliced brisket arranged deliciously on a Hawaiian bun with a touch of their homemade sauce with pickles and onions if you’d like. Come and get you some. They can often be found at New Republic Brewing Company in College Station and Home Sweet Farm in Brenham.
Blue Moon BBQ 18746 Old San Antonio Rd., Hearne, TX • 979-549-4800
Brisket, sausage, and ribs at Blue Moon BBQ. Image by Matt Moon.
Blue Moon BBQ has been serving the Best BBQ on the OSR since 2007! Come visit Rick, Toni, and Matt Moon weekly Wednesday 11-3 Thur-Sat 11-7 and Sun 11-3 for your BBQ guilt trip! Blue Moon is a Texas Monthly Top 50 ‘cue joint worth the drive out to the middle of nowhere. The middle of nowhere is usually somewhere special when you’re in the beautiful Brazos Valley. Only thing that can make one feel more Texan than a drive down OSR on a crisp, sunny day is the smell of smoked meats wafting your way.
BBQ 13-0 at Northgate Church Street & College Main, Northgate (Lunch Only)
Meatloaf sandwich at BBQ 13-0. Recipe by famed local chef Peter Madden.
13-O BBQ at Northgate is not your typical Texas ‘cue joint. But different is by no means deficient. 13-0 doesn’t do your typical 3 meat plates with 2 sides. They focus on sandwiches. Huge, saucy, perfectly flavor-balanced, sandwiches. The sandwich menu was authored by Peter Madden of Mad Taco and Madden’s fame…and tastes like it! I had the Meatloaf Sandwich and my friend had the Chopped Beef. I ate all of mine because it was so good. My buddy enjoyed his, but had half the sandwich to take home. Big sandwiches!
C & J Barbeque 4304 Harvey Rd., College Station (Original Store) • 979-776-8969 105 Southwest Parkway, College Station, TX • 979-696-7900 1010 South Texas Ave., Bryan, TX • 979-822-6033
Brisket, ribs, sausage, chicken and BBQ beans by C&J BBQ. Image courtesy of C&J.
The story of how C & J Barbeque got started is interesting. In 1981, Chip and Jo Manning bought a convenience store down on Harvey Road near Highway 30. Chip sold gas, cigarettes, beer, and soda. He also put in a barbeque pit. At the start, Chip sold an average of 20 pounds of meat per day. People started coming by for gas and a sandwich. The food started to get more and more popular. Now they have three locations, a banquet facility, and a catering operation that can feed tens of thousands anywhere in Texas.
DBQ Barbecue & Catering 123 Walton Dr., College Station, TX • 512-925-6909
DBQ Owner Derke Barre sits atop his B/CS famous smoke-wagon, DBQ BBQ, usually parked across from campus at Eastgate. Photo by DBQ BBQ.
Love Love Love DBQ BBQ (formerly Lew’s BBQ…same owner) in the Smokin’ (literally smokin’…there’s a bqq pit on board) Red Trailer at Eastgate! Had the pulled pork taco, brisket and sausage and it was all divine! Love that the young entrepreneur who runs the place gives 10% of profits back to the community and builds awareness of the community organizations he’s supporting in the process. He’s open daily for lunch on weekdays at Eastgate across from A&M and his big red bbq trailer can be found at local events too.
Fargo’s BBQ 1701 S. Texas Avenue • 979-778-3662
Brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad, and slaw at Fargo’s BBQ in Bryan, Texas. Image eaten by David Flash.
Fargo’s Pit BBQ recently moved South on Texas Avenue in Bryan, again, to the former Barnhill’s Buffet location. Fargo’s is a well known local establishment that has also gained statewide recognition as one of Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ joints in the state. Despite the new digs, Fargo’s brisket, sausage and sides lived up to their reputation on our recent visit. The brisket was perfectly cooked with a flavorful rub creating a nice outer shell that sealed in all the good juices, making it moist and tender. There was a “different” quality about the sauce I couldn’t put my finger on…maybe a touch more vinegar than typical…not sure…but it was goooooood!
The Firebox Grill 112 Eloise St., Caldwell, TX
Ribs, brisket, and indulgent sides are making good bull about The Firebox Grill spread like wildfire.
Good Bull BBQ 326 George Bush Dr., College Station, TX
Masterfully smoked meats in the shadow of Kyle Field! Now that’s Good Bull.
Former Yell Leader Roy May and crew started Good Bull BBQ because they love barbecue and we want to change the world! Now you can too! They provide a meal for the less fortunate for every meal they sell. Feed yourself, feed the world, now that’s GOOD BULL!
J. Cody’s Steaks & BBQ 3610 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX • 979-846-2639
J. Cody’s is well known locally for their steaks and barbeque.
J. Cody’s Steaks and Barbeque Restaurant in Bryan/College Station, Texas is a little different than most steak and BBQ eateries. Most great steak and barbeque places are well known for either serving great steaks or great barbeque but not both. J. Cody’s serves both tender juicy steaks and mouth watering smoked barbeque.
Kreuz Market – Bryan 768 North Earl Rudder Fwy., Bryan, TX • 979-704-6147
Brisket, sausage, and the famous German potato salad at Kreuz Market.
Originally based in Lockhart, TX, with a second location locally stationed in Bryan, TX, Kreuz Market has expanded its market to better serve the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas for Catering, Events, and a great everyday restaurant experience.
Lee’s Landing 313 West Cameron St., Rockdale, TX
If you’re wondering what the full parking lot morning, noon and night at Lee’s Landing on Cameron Avenue in Rockdale is all about, we can tell you… It’s about great food! The Milam County Times recently stopped in for dinner. The 3 meat barbecue plate with brisket, ribs, and sausage with sides of beans and potato salad were exemplary! They knocked it out of the park! The service and atmosphere were excellent as well. They have a really nice outdoor patio space and a tasteful Texas and Milam County decor theme throughout.
Lone Oak BBQ 1818 Smetana Rd., Bryan, TX • 979-820-0370
Lone Oak is open Thursday through Sunday until sold out. Call 979-820-0370 to place your order before heading there.
Martin’s Place 3403 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX
The chopped beef sandwiches at Martin’s Place are off the hook! They are the longest continuously operating restaurant in Bryan-College Station.
Martin’s Place has been serving Real Brick Pit BBQ Since 1925.
Matus Pit BBQ Buck and Hill St., Downtown Caldwell • 979-567-3666
Only open on weekends, Matus Pit BBQ is well worth the countryside drive to Caldwell for many Brazos Valley residents.
Mallett Brothers Barbeque 9339 State Hwy. 6, Navasota, TX • 979-825-9440 + 7247 Main St., Iola, TX
Mallett Brothers Barbeque is a Family Owned and Operated business serving Grimes, Brazos, Waller, Washington, Robertson and surrounding counties. Chad Mallett, Aggie Class of ’94, and brother Greg Mallett perfected their love of cooking at family gatherings and parties and after years of hard work (and a little fun too!) a long time dream came true and Mallett Brother’s Barbeque was opened. They now serve mouthwatering barbeque to hundreds of folks each week and have been told that they have the best barbeque anyone has ever eaten, especially the ribs!
Norm’s Smokewagon Pit BBQ Mobile BBQ Trailer in Bryan and College Station
Norm’s Smoke Wagon can be found at busy intersections and events in Bryan-College Station.
Norm’s Smokewagon Pit BBQ started up in Bryan a few months ago. They are a BBQ trailer with smoker-on-board and are already attracting a loyal local following.
Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q 504 Harvey Road, College Station, TX
Oak Smoked Brisket from Rudy’s. Get whole briskets for pick-up or shipped anywhere.
Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q is a popular Texas BBQ chain. Known for consistent quality, fast service, tasty sides, and a sauce that’s BOSS!
Smokin’ Oak Bar B Que 227 E. Avenue C, Milano, TX
The brisket is smoked in a pit out back and is perfectly moist. Melted in my mouth. The sauce is a little sweet, but it has a nice kick and I loved it. The sausage, made by local company in Caldwell, was perfectly flavorful and spicy. Perfectly prepared and fresh, not dried out because it was the end of the day. They seem like one of the busier places on Highway 79 and the menu is very simple, so the food is likely fresh daily. Tasted like it. If you’re on the road to Rockdale, make a “pit stop” in Milano, TX. Your belly will be glad you did.
Snow’s BBQ 516 N. Main St., Lexington, TX
Snow’s BBQ is only open on Saturdays. We arrived at 6:40 in the morning and were around 30th in line. By the time they opened at 8am, we couldn’t see the back of the line. We were told they sell around 1500 lbs of brisket alone every Saturday. We could taste why! The brisket and sausage alone are worth braving the line. There’s usually a free keg going in the line too, so the wait isn’t all bad.
Tin Shak BBQ 1500 Highway 21, Caldwell, TX • 979-567-0099
“Tin Shack BBQ brings the very best that Texas has to offer when it comes to world class barbecue.” C.W. Haynes, Pitmaster
Truth BBQ 2990 Hwy 290 West, Brenham, TX • 979-830-0392
Truth BBQ is a Texas Monthly Top 50 Barbecue joint worth the beautiful drive out to Brenham. They are open Thursday-Sunday from 11 A.M. – SOLD OUT
Eat BCS Pro Tip: Be sure to call ahead and order, especially to the smaller and Top 50 places, if you’re planning on arriving late in the day. Many ‘cue local joints close shop for the day when they sell out of meat.

Father-son duo Rick and Richie Daniels have been barbecuing together most of Richie’s life, starting at the big family gatherings on their ranch in San Saba, Texas. “When I got older and into high school it got a bit more serious. Now we are going public with it,” said Richie, former star football player at Six Man Texas State Champions Richland Springs High.
Recently, 7 Diamond Catering started to get buzz for feeding crowds of more than a hundred people at a time. Word of mouth from backyard barbecues they catered led to tailgate parties for college and professional football, and even corporate events.
Richie’s father said “My son amazes me. He is always trying new things, the sides and the sauces. My favorite right now is the smoked mac and cheese.”
Richie added “Right now we can cook up to a hundred pounds of meat, with 20-30 racks of ribs and pulled pork.”
A typical party menu includes brisket, ribs, pulled pork,  chicken, and sausage, with innovative sides.  We talked to Richie Daniels at a college graduation party where h had been up all night cooking the night before.
Richie Daniels of 7 Diamond Catering
AMFM:  I just couldn’t stop eating those ribs! So your family was always having parties, and your large  cookouts were a central part of it. It’s a natural extension to start doing this for other people, right?
RICHIE:  Yes, whenever we had family parties growing up, the were huge parties, and Dad was in charge of cooking the main course.  Through the years, we both started challenging each others, then that turned into a business idea.
AMFM:  How long did it take you to launch this business idea?
RICK:  In the last 6 months. We started with a party of more than a hundred people.AMFM:  Then you had the college graduation party where we tasted some of the bbq. It was amazing. Can you give me an idea of your menu?
DAD:  Brisket ribs pulled pork chicken sausage, you’re typical bbq, beans and potato salad. And a lot of Thanksgiving Turkeys.
RICHIE:  We are starting to add more sides.
AMFM: So what’s the biggest party you can handle?  Like a corporate event?
RICK:  Hard to say cause I can always get bigger smokers.  I just need a heads up. 100 pounds of each meat easy now.  We figure a pound of meat per person. Uncooked.

Milwaukee’s Top Soup Destinations
Shepherd Express
Tumblr media
Michael Pollan, author of The Botany of Desire, and king of foodie know-it-alls, suggests we’d do well to adopt the eating habits of our grandparents. Seeing the difficulty in maintaining social contact after so many liverwurst sandwiches and buttermilk, or the slippery slope nature of nightly Jim Beam with Virginia Slim Menthols, or the dance with the cholesterol test after adhering to daily scrambled eggs cooked with copious goops of sheeny Velveeta, sided by mounded bacon piles, rye toast with silver dollar dollops of shimmering Land o’ Lakes - all before the dessert donuts - for some of us, this advice is not so easy. Or wise.
But there are applicable, timeless, intergenerational universals: comforting coffee all day long, chicken wings and pizza with football viewing, and grandma’s answer for most of life’s calorie time quandaries: soup. Chicken noodle if you’re sick. Tomato if you’re pretending to be sick, playing hooky, and eating grilled cheese. Minestrone at the Italian place. Clam chowder before a fish fry. Any or all varietals if it’s cold outside, or rainy. But mostly, if you’re sick. Or were just sick. Or for strength to prevent becoming sick.
Had grandma been viable and stirring in the age of Yelp, in the days of iPhone-emboldened food journey’s, that nagging search for hearty throat assuagement may have led to a more worldly bouillon. Pho, ramen, menudo - Generation Food Channel’s options are endless for the hoary notion of getting “something warm on your stomach.” So as we enter the final throes - maybe, hopefully, probably not but maybe - of cold weather, of flu season, of needing to bundle up, wear your hat and mittens, it may be time for a quick, summary rundown of the city’s best hot bowls of slurpable, sinus-clearing comfort. These are not exactly your grandmother’s bowl of soup, but any can offer a sipping spoonful act to make her proud.
6. Red Light Ramen
In the days of Trump tax cuts, it can be tough to celebrate something so blatantly too rich. But that really seems to be the main pleasure point of the Milwaukee vanguard of the quite hip ramen movement.  Salty, luxuriant, egg-bobbing, noodle-swimming, with pork aplenty, ripe for both a spoon and chopstick forays, it is ancient Eastern exotic and yet as intrinsically comforting as Campbell’s. Whatever your selection of the multitude types, or whether you stand on the too much or just right camp, there’s no arguing that no bowl is a better preface for a long winter’s nap.
5. Pho Viet
Rick Bayless once suggested the best taquerias are the ones attached to Mexican grocery stores. Following that logic, the best pho in town should likely come from the little shop next to Pacific Produce, the gargantuan emporium of all foods Asian on South 27th Street. It’s hard to dispute the argument while getting a hearty tongue bath: from the dozen pho options, liquid-housing the daunting gamut between steak, flank, tripe, tendon, brisket, maybe shrimp, possibly chicken, of course meatballs; to the handful of egg noodle bowls, starring quail eggs or duck legs, it's hard to do anything but keep going, slurping greedily and noisily, splashing and basting buds with flavors fresh and deep and peculiar, rife with star anise and black cardamom, other such items you’ve likely lost to the nether regions of your spice cabinet. The proper application of Thai chili garlic sauce along the fresh, seedy jalapenoes, reminds that even grandma at her most overbearing was negligent about at least one thing - a soup can, maybe should, hurt a little bit. It’s a visceral cleansing if done right. Really though, there’s no greater testament than the bahn mi here - suspiciously cheap, fresh-bunned, overstuffed, peppery and porky - being relegated to afterthought.
4. Soup Bros.
Soup Bros is actually much like a grandmother itself - the service has attitude, the home is filled with miscellany knicknacks and doodads, you call, get an automated voice telling you the mailbox hasn’t been set up, you instinctively wonder if she’s still alive. There’s no website. And there’s many soups. The cheddar and Bermuda onion seems the paradigm - extra sharp cheddar melting along fresh crushed black pepper and green onion pieces, the whole achieving that ideal creaminess to wade through toward stomach coaty contentment. Similarly pleasing is the red pepper bisque - a cold antidote and elixir properly sworn by the whole town over. The key with both seems to be that salty svelteness, a certain intangible that makes for the rare occasion of going out to lunch and feeling somehow rejuvenated after. A fresh baked bread hunk, served warm and crusty and seedy, certainly helps too. Owner Richard Regner, brusque, terse, isn’t exactly the soup Nazi, but, having said that, the place does embody the somehow idiosyncratic nature that comes with precise, artistic cooking approaches to big vats of nourishing, communal stuff. And if an armoire of his ever became available, one would be smart to scoop it up, rifle through the drawers.
3. Thai Bar-B-Que
It seems hard to go wrong with most any dish, any pho or soup, in Silver City. In fact the only fault we came away noting from an afternoon was pointed out by our waiter: “capitalism.” After hearing him bemoan the over-rushed pace of American life, we acquiesced, realized this is as good a place as any to sit and savor, soup being a dish to smell and breathe deep, as much to get down. The Thai BBQ pork noodle varietal, supposedly the only such dish in town, serves as an ideal for what they do best here. It’s a dangerously velvety, rich broth, with multitude sunken pork treasures in varying shape and cooking doneness. The pork balls are the prize, sponging flavor, buoying between onion hunks, green onion chocks, cilantro, and a Medusa nest of glassy noodles. But any meat and broth would do well when supplanted by the accompanying death panel: a four jar tray of pickled jalapenos, the ubiquitous Thai chili garlic sauce, crushed dried chili peppers cooked to a deep viscous brown in oil, and the same chili peppers, simply ground and ready for battle with sinus and lips. Even in moderation, it can feel like a concoction just barely, pleasantly this side of hell. It’s okay to drip a little sweat right into the bowl - it can count as the day’s exercise. Better yet, forget such energetic American worries, sit back, and enjoy the otherworld pleasure all about National and 30th.
2. El Cabrito
The ‘little goat’ butters its bolillo by specializing in meats slow-cooked in sauces, blurring the line between stews and soft bits meant for stuffing into corn tortillas for makeshift juicy tacos. You can tell the specialty from what everybody is ordering, and from the neon sign shouting their wares rooted in the state of Jalisco - birria. It is celebratory, spicy, slow-cooked goat meat. It’s a tad gamey, and it’s game to go either way - slurp or fork. But it’s actually the heartening pozole that lands Cabrito here, as it leaves no doubt as to the spoon-forward nature. The stop sign-red broth comes with an oily sheen, equally salty and piquant, made more spicy by the dangerous ground arbol pepper canister placed on the table like a dare, one hard to turn away from. Floating below the surface are thumb-sized chunks of pork, al dente-texture hominy, both slow cooking as you focus on the broth, the meat getting speared and breaking up with each penetration, so that at the end you are left with shredded pig particles to spoon onto the accompanying tostadas, with chopped red onion and tomato for fresh bright balance, a squirt of the smoky chipotle table salsa to make sure every nook of the tongue is tended to. You’ll also likely be left fanning your mouth, dabbing sweat driblets from the forehead, and, given the bowl depth and deep provenance, wondering why you thought it was necessary to order an accompanying taco.
1. Guadalajara
Of the many elixir qualities of a hot bowl of salty broth, hangover helper may be the most underrated. Like all chili-peppered Mexican fare, all Mexican soups do the trick - the aforementioned birria is renowned, but nothing eases day after pain like menudo. It’s a take it, leave it proposition, long bypassing ‘gamey’ labels, the beef tripe yielding an intestinal - literally - deep flavor of bloody earthiness. It’s an acquired taste, but one that can come to resemble a gastrointestinal restart button. Still, even if the palate leans understandably more gabacho, there are two types of head-clearing pozole: verde, with chicken, or the briny, salty rojo. The latter is the way to go, offering a steaming bath with tender fatty pork wedges, big soft hominy bits, ploppable diced onion, and, really, not too much else. The soothing saltiness is kept as the main star, everything satisfyingly elemental, unless you want to be heroic and scoop in some upon-request-only arbol salsa.
It’s about halfway through any bowl, pleasantly sniffling, that you might realize, like most grandmotherly caloric pushes, it’s all too much - the bowl is comically overlarge, brimming with incalculable salt, sheeny fat, too much spice - again with the ground Arbol, even sugar - sure, yes, you will need another Jarritos to wash everything down. There’s even an undeserved, overabundant kindness about the shabby corner converted Walker’s Point abode. Maybe you can’t go home again, as they say, but from the taste of a bowl here, you can go to your, or a, Mexican grandma’s house.

Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Shirt
Do you love it? https://kuteeboutique.com/shop/rick-and-morty-this-guy-right-here-super-weird-shirt/
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Shirt
Cheap excuse to justify creating massive demand for intentionally limited supply, when you’ve been hinting ever since the announcement that it may come back permanently at some point. In other words, this is just a publicity stunt. Thomas brown i wish that was true but i love the fact that McDonald’s is bringing it to a small city called statesboro! Thanks Mcdonalds. It’s not even available in big cities. The Colorado rollout doesn’t even include our freakin’ capital. whats with these repeated copy answers by mcdonalds vaguely referencing rick and morty like itll make us feel better!
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Shirt, Hoodie, Sweater, Ladies T-shirt
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Hoodie
It’s not even big locations. Colorado has boulder, Colorado springs and Fort Collins. Who’s the dipshit that doesn’t know Colorado. Hardly anyone in big cities got any either. There were 35 of the schezuan sauce cups total in a single store in all of seattle. I tried the chicken tenders recently — they are far better than I thought they would be. Wonderful — I love them. Get me to those Golden Arches.  We were inspired by their passion and just couldn’t resist bringing Szechuan Sauce back in limited quantities.
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Sweat Shirt
Hated the taste. Mine were hard and tough. Very disappointed. Stick to what you know, burgers. Really sorry you were disappointed in the Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, Bahati! They should have been crisp and tender. We really hope you swing by to give them another try sometime soon! Your tenders suck, your marketing team sucks, and you should just quit McDonalds.  Szechuan Sauce will be available in part. restaurants on 10/7, starting at 2 p.m. local time, while supplies last!
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Ladies Tee
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Shirt, Hoodie, Sweater, Ladies T-shirt
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Ladies V Neck
so limited all your employees took it and didn’t even sell it to customers this is so messed up!  We wish everyone could get Szechuan Sauce, unfortunately, there was only limited amount in this dimension. You’re Mc d’s you could make as much as you want. I mean you make bbq and all that by the tons. They’re seasoned, battered & breaded to perfection, made with 100% white meat chicken & no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives! Glad to hear that you’re loving them, Donna! We’d love to share more with you soon.
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Unisex Tank Top
its not true! They sent twenty packets to this location, at another they sent no posters. Neither of them have tenders by themselves. Found the only store with them is 3o mins away fron me. I got here 2 hrs before 2…talk to the guy at the counter. They tell me…they got the posters..but not the sauce.  We wish everyone could get Szechuan Sauce, unfortunately, there was only limited amount in this dimension.  stop using this exact same reply to everyone! Get creative rather than cashing in off the shows idea.
Rick And Morty This Guy Right Here Super Weird Unisex Longsleeve Tee
We wish everyone could get Szechuan Sauce, unfortunately, there was only limited amount in this dimension. Don’t worry, you didn’t miss anything. anyone else didn’t get any either, they tried to spread about 1000 packs across the entire 48 states. Apparently jerry is running their (false) advertising campaign, and clearly out of a job again.  its because McDonald’s hates their customers. not only is the food terrible for your health, but they gots people acting like addict for the scechuan sauce.

April Fools’ Day 2017: Our Roundup of All the Best Brand Hoaxes
April Fools’ Day falls on Saturday this year, which leaves brands caught between wanting to roll out their hoaxes on Friday, to reach the millions captive at their work computers, or waiting for the big day itself.
Here at AdFreak, we’re going to split the difference—cover all the good ones that come out on Friday, then update the list on Saturday and throughout the rest of the weekend.
Below, check out this year’s shenanigans. And email me and Tim with any good ones we missed.
  Alamo Rent A Car
Alamo has created a remarkable self-vacationing fleet of cars. This is probably an April Fool. They won’t confirm, but Alamo tries to fool us every year, and we remember.
  Auntie Anne’s
The pretzel maker has unveiled a new logo designed to appeal to Gen Z. They’ve replaced the halo over the pretzels with a flower crown in a logo that’s completely “lit.”
  Bob Evans
The restaurant chain is launching a beauty line to give you the farm-to-body experience. Enjoy the Sausage Gravy Beauty Mask, Hotcake Rejuvenation Cream, Candied Bacon Body Mist and Wildfire BBQ Sauce Hair and Body Wash.
  Buffalo Wild Wings
This restaurant chain is launching Rally Beard Sauce—scientifically designed to stimulate beard growth and help fans rally their team back from even the most lopsided deficit. Their Chief Sauceologist is here to explain. Also, bonus points for actually tying it to their new ad.
  Burger King
In France, the fast-food chain released flame-grilled Whopper toothpaste to keep your mouth Whopper fresh. Great video.
  Carrabba’s Italian Grill
This restaurant chain has a new Pomodoro Moisturizing Masque.
  Chegg
The student textbook rental company created an energy drink called Chugg. It comes in three flavors—Bank Rupt, College Tears and Struggle Bus—but all of them taste like sick burns.
  Coffee-Mate
Check out coffee-flavored Coffee-Mate, so your favorite coffee can taste more like coffee!
  Duolingo
They’re offering a new emoji language course, so you can learn important phrases in the world’s fastest growing language. Actually not a bad idea! And there’s a funny press release, too.
  Fresh Direct
The food delivery service has created the pitless avocado. Avocado lovers everywhere rejoice!
  Honda
The automaker and agency RPA dreamed up Horn Emojis, which offer range of horn sounds corresponding to various emoji faces. Honk if you love this one.
  Ikea
Ikea Singapore hilariously announced that it would transform its Småland in-store playground into a “press-play-ground,” full of sitting pods with tablets, because kids “prefer tablets to physical activity.” The parental reactions on Facebook are priceless.
  Jim Beam
“We’ve been making bourbon for 220 years, but some folks still call us Jim Bean. Hint taken. Introducing Jim Beans: aged one day in a tin can.”
  KFC
In Canada, the chain has released the KFC Bucket, a voice-activated delivery system and smart dining assistant. The finger-lickin’ future is here.
  Lexus
The automaker is introducing Lane Valet, which hijacks slow-moving cars in the left lane and forces them to move over, something which Wired has predicted could be possible.
  Life Storage
The storage company is offering a storage unit called She Shed, the opposite of a mancave, for just $99 a month. They also have a good video that makes it look like a pretty good idea.
  Lucid Mattress
Check out the bed of your memes—the Harambed, to honor Harambe’s legacy. Try to put one in your cart and you’ll get Rick Rolled in proper meme tradition.
  Lyft
Ridesharing will never be the same with the Mono glove ride-hailing device. Stick out your thumb to hail a Lyft. While this is an April Fools’ joke, they do have a real working device, and if you’re in San Francisco you can get a free Lyft to a demo. Also, their video wins the award for best use of lasers.
  Man Crates
Now offering Man Freights. Ship yourself along with a man crate to the man who means the most to you.
  Mountain Dew
Dew endorser athlete Giannis Antetokounmpo pranked some fans by Facetiming them in a bus shelter, then Dew pranked him with a call from his childhood hero. Nicest pranks ever.
  Quilted Northern
The toilet-paper brand has created uSit, the world’s first biometric bathroom device. It tracks your bathroom behavior, logging every sit and every log. It also lets you defend the throne with the battle sit feature. By Droga5.
  SodaStream
Paris Hilton pitches the Nanodrop, a single drop of water that’s so hydrating, it’s equal to an entire glass of regular water. It’s 5,000 times more hydrating! More at nanodrop.org.

Check out the T-Mobile ONEsie, “the world’s first full-body wearable that radically re-envisions the future of fashion, true mobility and the very meaning of unlimited coverage.”
Tough Mudder and Nulo Pet Food

  Trulia
The real-estate brand is announcing listings for pets to give them a new pawspective on rental pawperties.
  U by Kotex
Pads aren’t just for periods anymore. Check out these pad-shaped bandages featuring leak-catching wings.
