Growing potatoes is great because not only are they an incredibly easy and fairly fast-growing crop, but the sheer number of potatoes that one potato can turn into is amazing. I got a few shrivelled, wilting seed potatoes off my ommer about a year ago and now I have enouygh of them to turn them into a nice little row. The area under the orchard where I bury any supermarket potatoes that go green on me is a forest of free carbohydrates. It really feels like an Infinite Food Hack in a way that most gardening doesn't.
