but then they look up at my face, realise i'm a man and NOT a woman, and you see them doing like. a double take, often with their jaws full on dropped

bc their intention was to do the crab bucket slutshaming thing at another woman and it doesn't apply to me... or does it?

bc sometimes they decide to go back to Plan A and do the slutshamey lipcurl of disgust (they've decided i count as a woman) and other times they sort of tut and avert their eyes entirely (they've decided i count as a homo)

I love what you make Angus swing both ways in your version. In my original canon, Angus wouldn’t even think of sleeping with his friend’s wife cuz 1) he’s gay 2) he has more respect for his friend than anyone would let on so he has some morals left. 3) he knows the consequences of sleeping with Nacha. It won’t be pretty and as much as Angus likes his friend, he’s still afraid of him to some degree.

With that said, if Francis caught Angus and Nacha having an affair, he WILL know. And he won’t take it well. One day if he caught them sleeping together, let’s just say he’ll get the chainsaw.

Actually.

I think there is something profoundly intimate in knowing with all the knowledge of the present that so many of women in old movies and tv shows and singers that were so beloved by gay men were bisexual women. Even if they were closeted (though many were not). Even if they weren't outed in to well after their death.

There is something comforting about knowing that gay men since the 40's have recognized themselves in women like me.

I think we need more bi 🤝 gay man solidarity.
