Sunita (ROTTMNT) x Tucker (Danny Phantom): My friend @amethystoceandespiser brought this ship to my attention and I love it!

Octavia (Helluva Boss) x Danny (DP) (Spectral Owl): This is the ship that started the friendship between me and @amethystoceandespiser and I love it! Their emotional connection and chemistry has my heart.

Jazz (Danny Phantom) x Raph (ROTTMNT) (Tough Cookie & Smart Cookie): This ship came to me after my friend and I made our Scott Pilgrim AU. They're both older siblings who just want the best for their younger siblings. They understand each other's pain.

Mayor Lionheart (Zootopia) x Anna (Frozen): My reasons for shipping Anna and Mayor Lionheart are explained in this post here.

Sparky (Atomic Betty) x Amethyst (Trollz) This ship came to me as a kid.

Buttercup (PPG) x Nergal Jr (TGAOB&M) I love Tomboy x Nerd dynamics, but it's even more interesting considering that Buttercup fights monsters for a living and Nergal Jr. is a monster-demon-demigod-nerd-boy, lol.

Lobster Claws (SVTFOE) x Bubbles (PPG) (BubbleClaws) This crackship is based on a joke between me and my sister @small-tragedies

Goo (FHFIF) x Blossom (PPG) (GooBloss/PinkGoo) This ship came to me when I was a kid, and I thought that they were cute together.

Alice (AMA/AMR) x P/Pinocchio (LOP) (Palice) I have to thank my friend, @frie-ice for getting me to ship them.

Violet (The Incredibles) x Varian (TTS/RTA) (Virian) I have to thank @virianhaven for getting me to ship them.

Lola Bunny (TLTS) x Minnie Mouse (Minola) I have @dawn64 to thank for getting me to ship them so hard.

Panini (Chowder) x Lincoln/Warren (Loud House): I had an idea based on the "White Hare" episode, where Lincoln has a dream about being a rabbit named Warren with 15 extra sisters but instead has an Alice in Wonderland-type adventure being transported to Marzipan City, and you can probably guess the rest.

Ami (Sailor Moon) x Sonic (Sonic X) (SonAmi, I guess, lol): Being a die-hard SonElise shipper, it's easy to assume that Sonic has a type~

Daisy Duck x Cruella (Cruaisy): I started shipping them years ago when I watched this Disney short called Electric Holiday. I've made a couple AUs where Daisy works for Cruella in the fashion industry, and they become close friends and lovers in a May-December relationship. 

Tom (Tom & Jerry) x Bright Eyes (Pound Puppies Season 1): I like to headcanon that Tom and Bright Eyes are childhood friends to lovers. I explain it more in this post here.

Frank Wolff (Jungle Cruise) x Jack Sparrow (TPOTC) (SparrowWolf/WolfSparrow): I don't really ship characters from live-action movies and shows, but Disney Mirrorverse got me to ship these two goofballs.

Cinderella x Gojo (JJK) (Gojoella): Don't get me wrong. I love Sukuella, but I solely blame @peachudumplings for giving me Fairy-God-Gojo, and thus I ship Cinderella and Gojo too, lol.

Stitch (Lilo and Stitch) x Tinker Bell (Peter Pan): My reasons for crackshipping Stitch and Tinker Bell are explained in this post here.

Alice x Peter Pan (PanAlice): I've always shipped Peter Pan and Alice, but because of their Disney Mirrorverse counterparts, I shipped them harder.

Yuji Itadori (JJK) x Yuliy Jirov (Sirius the Jaeger) (YuYu): They have so much in common! That's all I'll say about these two for now~

Tiana x Nanami (Tianami): I have to thank @peachudumplings for getting me to ship them so hard. They're perfect for each other~

My Favourite Reece Shearsmith Characters

So it's Reece Shearsmith's birthday today, so I decided to celebrate this by sharing some of my favourite characters played by this fantastically talented actor

These are in no particular order

Gregory Brewster - Him Indoors

Him Indoors is a short film about a serial killer with agoraphobia. Not only is the premise very interesting, Reece delivers a chilling yet very entertaining performance as the main character. It's on YouTube if you want to watch it, which I highly reccomend you do!

Tommy - Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room

This HAD to be on the list! Reece's performance as Tommy is heartbreaking, we watch a man seems to put-together and serious slowly fall apart and lose control of his calm façade - impeccable work

Sean Stone - Chasing Shadows

Admittedly, I don't know where the watch the full show, but I have seen clips and I knew I had to put it on this list because of Reece's portrayal of an autistic person. You can tell he put a lot of thought and research into it in order to give a realistic performance, which is a testament to his dedication and how much he truly cares about the roles he plays and who he's representing

Tyler - Riddle Of The Sphinx SPOILERS BELOW

If there's one thing Reece is good at, it's how to play a chilling villain. Everything about Tyler is unnerving and he manages to be terrifying without being loud or angry all the time. It's measured and the emotion builds and builds - fantastic work!

Joseph Lisgoe - The League Of Gentlemen

I've mentioned before that the debt collectors were underused, and I simply had to talk about how extraordinary Reece's performance as Lisgoe was. He completely dives into the roles he plays and this one was no exception, not even a light smashing on his closest friend stops him from carrying on a scene (just check out the outtakes!), he simply embodies the part and delivers a performance that terrifies the cast, crew and the audience

Laurence - Merrily Merrily SPOILERS BELOW

Merrily Merrily is an Inside No. 9 episode that I can never rewatched because of how empty it made me feel - and I mean that in the best way possible! Laurence is wracked with pain over the loss of his late partner, and Reece delivers such a subtle yet haunting performance that I don't think I'll ever stop thinking about it

Ross Gaines - The League of Gentlemen

Ross is such a fun character because of how manipulative, calculating and cold he is. Not only does it set him apart from the other inhabitants of Royston Vasey, it makes his scenes with Pauline all the more tense and entertaining - and Reece really does deliver in the role. I'm glad they decided to go with this casting choice

Aiden - Thinking Out Loud

Like with Laurence, Reece delivers a hauntingly stellar performance. What makes this one really special is that it's a monologue. There's nobody for him to bounce off of or react to, he has to reach those emotions himself. And, as always, he nails it

Ollie Plimsolls - The League Of Gentlemen

I've said before that I think Ollie is one of the most cleverly written League characters and I stand by that. As a representation of the Saviour Complex and self-righteousness of people in theatre, Ollie is a character that should be easy to hate... but because of Reece's expert comedic timing and delivery, he ends up being so funny that you can't help but laugh every time he's onscreen

SPECIAL MENTION: Gilbert - Betty Blue Eyes

Reece Shearsmith said in an interview that he wasn't a great singer. Reece Shearsmith is a liar. Don't believe me? Listen to The Kind Of Man I Am from Betty Blue Eyes and thank me later

Also, if you can find it, there's a short bootleg of him in The Producers which is good too!

Of course, this are just a few of his performances and he's never delivered a bad one - whether he's playing a comedic character like Archie in The Bill or a more serious one like in Borley Rectory. And we haven't even touched on his writing skills, I can't wait to see what he does next!

So I was thinking, Tom Kenny said the last two episodes were going to be sad, and I feel like there's been a lot of emphasis on Betty missing her bus ride to be with Simon. This might be a stretch, but there's no way Betty is going to let Simon become Ice King again after all she's done for him. So unless she dies somehow (the lich is back so who knows), I feel like Betty might have to change the date on her ticket so she doesn't miss her bus like they teased in Temple of Mars (S10 Ep11).

Once again I am rereading Corrupted by Design. This time I went on a twenty minute rant to my bestie over the phone how much I loved it because???? Anyway not to thirst too hard but your writing is like HONEY and I am essentially an obese bear pawing at your hive. Etc etc LOVE your work and just had to gush because UGH.

Also, a little question for funsies: were there any scenes you were most inspired or excited to write?? What were/are they are why were they your favorite?

OMG not an icon calling MY words honey!!! you are literally the pillar of the feyd brain rot community and to hear that from you made me shout @ my phone LMAO. love love love your fic, and i am so in awe of your work. it is seriously a delight to read. just the perfect blend of horror and romance, with some of the best writing i have ever read.

one particular scene that i enjoyed writing was absolutely the balcony scene with feyd. up until this point, he was only a dark politic figure, then a looming presence in the background, then a real danger when he scarred the reader. he was intrigued by her already, but focused on other things. that balcony scene was the first time they were alone, and he wanted to find out more about her and sought her out of his own free will. i wanted it to be as full of tension and intrigue as possible. with the death sentence/short-term Imperial Immunity, it sort of gave him permission to speak so freely with her. the scene isn't perfect but i'm really happy with how i transferred what i was thinking onto the page!

i was also really inspired to write that first scene with the reader and the Baron in the dining hall. that was the first scene that came to me when i was daydreaming in the shower (lmao), and i knew i had to write it down and continue on w the story!!! i keep my notes app open on my phone to write down scenes or lines of dialogue that come to me.

& of course i am the most excited writing the chapter(s) i'm currently writing!!!

Given that the Little Archie version condenses this story from 6 to 5 pages, it is a little curious this gets topped off with this expository thingy. But maybe Dexter Taylor thought this would take it into a semblance of topicality, befitting a title inspired by a popular sitcom. And the Little Archie story follows exactly the first two into the fourth page anyways. Except that it inserts Spotty to lead Fred to Pop Tate to get Archie upon walking into an empty home. In the other two Fred just figured that was where he would be.

I think for a split second Mary Andrews may be accusing Fred Andrews of cheating, or rather simply offering amorous affection to another woman. I am not sure how else to read it.

It might be a mark of Betty's lack of import in the life of Archie 1951 that he refers to a "Mrs. Cooper" that is friends with his mom and does not get her confused with Betty's mom. Upon returning home, the first versions get bored, while the third Little Archie variant skips to mom and teen calling their friends in.

Little Archie and friends are listening to Reggie's disco albums. Different musical accompaniment then the other two. I wonder if given an extra page, Dexter Taylor would have wanted to fill this panel out a little.

if you haven't noticed by now I like giving characters big height differences, mostly bc of the Visual Effect and it making it easier to not worry so much about proportions :)

fun facts:

Velvet's nose glows bc Benny made a joke about her being Rudolph

the girlfriend referred to in Velvet's reference is Sasha (the polar bear) who was genuinely complimenting her antlers. that's how she knew she was The One

Jacklynn goes nonverbal sometimes so it uses sign to communicate when it's like that

All of them are at least SOMEWHAT fluent in ASL because of that plus Sasha being hard of hearing

All of them are some flavor of Gender Stuffs (Sasha has Yamato swag and is a girl boyfriend, Jacklynn is nonbinary, Betty is a trans man and a boy girlfriend, Velvet is a trans woman)

Sasha and Jacklynn were a couple first, then Betty joined, then they met Velvet

Betty always chooses violence

His tail is prehensile :)

He likes cool bugs and birds

He's also Southern! (as in Southern US)

Sasha met Jacklynn when it showed up to Sasha's gym looking to work out to look more androgynous

Velvet more than "makes up" for Jacklynn and Betty being quieter vocally by being a huge chatterbox
