I don't care how excited it might make some people, I don't like this remake
#no heart. no effort. no soul. it looks animated everytime cinematic scenes of Berk or the dragons shoe up what was the poiiint#httyd 2025#aweful set and costumes. barely any cool details. dry emotions. no man i hate it#httyd live action#httyd#how to train your dragon#the only good thing this is bringing that it's giving me a chance to wipe the memory of thw from my mind#lf btw. look at the fur detailson gobber's vest and also the lighting#in these screencaps#try and compare this to whatever the hell they're doing with the remake. is any of it present? no#it looks vooler and better in the animated medium#amd it would've looked good in live action if it wasn't a remake and had good artwork done with some heart to it#like. i can actually imagine a live action httyd looking amazing but not as a remake but as a book adaptation#with changed perspectives and story and cinematography#hey can't replicate the masterpiece#and you know what pisses me off even more?#They based Toothless on his THW model. not even the first movie's model#his movements are all so... wrong

I'm rewatching all the Marvel Defenders shows on Netflix and as much as I mock the MCU now, I need non-Marvel fans to understand that I was and still am a fan of "Daredevil fighting the gentrifying assshole who bought out the police force because ACAB both as a lawyer and vigilante of the community" and "Jessica Jones fighting the man who mind controlled her into doing unspeakable things and forming a community of fellow survivors and allies while dealing with PTSD in a range of both healthy and unhealthy ways" Marvel. #Wow. Okay ♡#I love this episode. The animation is flawless. The drawings quality is out of the world for real.#I love this episode so much I'm so grateful so much care and dedication went to this sskk centered episode.#(Refraining to talk about what 5x03 could have been)#Sorry for repeating myself but seriously the illustrations this episode are so so pretty.#I rarely appreciate how Akutagawa is drawn in the anime but when it comes with this episode I really like how he looks too.#And Atsushi that I already like a lot in the anime on average‚ this episode is just fabulous. Handsome even.#Seriously I don't know who the animators are but I want to kiss them. This art style is one I dare say I like even more than Dead Apple–#that although is obviously more detailed is just... In comparison too rough for my personal taste?#The art style for this episode is very delicate and soft and I love it tons#And the directing is just great. No weird pacing or awkward ost choice. It's neat.#The reiterated placing ss/kk on opposite sides is neat. The lightening is likeable and especially the purple scene is super pretty.#The “don't compare me to him” scene is neat. The ss/kk final scene is AMAZING. It's gorgeous and stunning and awestriking and every other–#epitome in the world. It's like the only scene I believe turned out better in the anime that it is in the manga which is saying SO MUCH.#But it's really that good!!!!! My favourite anime ss/kk scene ever.#Aaaaaahhh please let me talk about it forever it's sooo pretty and especially poignant...#The heaven-like soft yellow light and how it contrasts with the bleak stormy background. But especially their softening features...#Man that scene. okay. Akutagawa's quiet surprise!!!! That scene is. Idk. Unfortunately chapter 88 exists–#but it's nearly the most romantic thing ever.#I'll leave it at this. I just recently got into hockey and a bit confused as to why so many people seem to hate matthews/think he's overrated... do you have any idea? Cause his stats look good so I feel like j missed something
oh he's literally a top 3... maybe top 2 player in hockey (sorry to all the LISTS that came out this year that had him at like 5-7 but none of the guys in front of him have ever done what he's done individually besides mcdavid), so it's mostly just a combination of hating someone because they're popular and talented from a rival/hyped up team like the leafs. i think it also has to do with the fact that he had a down year stats wise last year because he was playing through a wrist injury (and his "down" year still included him hitting 40 goals but okay-- fbndnd) in comparison to the way the league had quite a boom in top scorers last year... a couple guys hovering around 50-60 while auston hitting 60 the year before was the first time someone had in a decade. he's literally maybe the best two way player in the game, but defensively he goes a bit under the radar i think. it's just the sports phenomenon of maybe overexposure to someone too... i joined last year so the 22-23 season and ALLLL they fucking talked about was connor mcdavid, but i'm sure the 21-22 season was filled with am34 talk bc of what he was doing. a trendsetter tbh 💁♀️
