DCA PROMPTOBER - DAY 11

NAPTIME

The first time you had ever cuddled with Moon, you had sworn your heart was going to pound out of its chest. And probably end up on the floor somewhere and scare the sleeping kids.

So you tried your best to be cool about it, as you two were scooped up into a corner with him. Nap time went on around you both, but you knew the children were sleeping soundly. His hands were gentle around your waist, and his head rested in the crook of your shoulder. And with a sigh, you carefully laid your forehead against his chest.

"You know," he drawled softly after some silence, "We should do this more often."

There was no disagreeing with that, but would it be too forward to agree?

"This is the first time we're cuddling like this," you coyly reminded him. You sounded flustered and your face was flushed, "So eager already?"

Moon hummed at your nervous teasing, long fingers tracing delicate paths along your back. And as you cuddled closer into him, eyes heavy as you took in the serenity of the moment, he chuckled. "I just think we have a lot to make up for, Starshine."

You smiled, slowly turning into a shy grin. It was so right, holding each other like this. After what felt like a lifetime of dancing around each others feelings, too.

Finally, you three were together.

So daring to look up at the face that could make your heart stop, you reached up to cup one side of his faceplate. Your face was still flushed, you were sure. And you still felt like you could melt in his arms.

But you tried not to overthink it so much as you murmured, "I think you're right about that."

And Moon just chuckled, deep and low. A sound that had become familiar to you these past few months. One that originally sparked anger and annoyance; To love and adoration now. As in his arms, you happily rested.

Screw nonchalantness. You two cuddled, lost your own world, until naptime had ended.

Minor thing that really irks me is when people treat the femc route in p3 portable as like the lesser story or like it’s a fanfic where nothing that happens in it is the “true” canon like. Bitch. The femc and everything that happens in her version of the story is just as canon as the male protagonist and everything that happens in his story. And there’s literally been so many fucking versions of p3 at this point like the base game, fes, portable, the movies, stage plays, reload, as well as spinoffs and manga and they all do things differently. I don’t see anyone acting like the base game is more canon than, say, reload so why do they do this with portable? Why can’t the (infinitely superior) version with the female protagonist just be respected for five fucking minutes goddamn

Raphael’s penchant for self-indulgent theatrics is already well-documented, but this—this feels like a mockery wrapped in finery. A gilded hellscape, a monument to his own vanity. And at the heart of it, lounging in sinuous repose, is a figure that brings Astarion to a halt.

For a heartbeat, he is certain it’s Raphael himself, but the truth uncoils itself like a slow, sickly tendril in his mind: this creature isn’t Raphael. No, the resemblance is uncanny, intentional, down to the sharp, aristocratic angles of his face and the dark flame in his eyes. But there’s a sensuality here that Raphael’s sharp arrogance lacks—a dangerous, knowing allure that pulls at something primal, something vulnerable, deep within him. An incubus.

Then the creature gestures to him, a slow beckoning motion that promises equal parts delight and danger. Astarion feels that instinctual awareness that something otherworldly—something hungry—has set its sights on him. It’s a feeling he’s accustomed to inflicting on others, not the other way around.

But he doesn’t step forward. Not yet. Instead, he draws himself up, forcing a smirk that he hopes hides the faint tremor in his fingers. He leans back slightly, crossing his arms over his chest in a deliberately casual stance, as if to say I am not so easily swayed. His voice, when it comes, is smooth as velvet but laced with a barbed edge.
