Random ask, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....

I mean…how much time do you have?😏✨ In no particular order:

1) Zoro x Nami (One Piece)

I‘ve been in love with their dynamics from the very beginning: the navigator and the one with no orientation skills whatsoever. Orange and green. They bicker like an old married couple, but respect and trust each other blindly. It started out with Zoro protecting Nami from Buggy’s crew, her helping him out during fights but I fell head over heels for them once the Arlong Arc came around: he read her like a book and trusted her enough to make a point. That sealed the deal. Then he watched over her while she was ill and from there one I noticed how he always looks out for here, making sure she is safe🥺🧡 Just ✨They just make sense to me.

2) Damon x Elena (TVD)

I actually don’t recall when I started to ship them. It must have been slowly, just before the „fake“ kiss happened when Katherine came back, somewhere between their banter and low key flirting. I think I fell for this ship because of the factor Damon. Him being fiercely loyal and desperate to get Katherine back, only to realize she never loved him and then falling in love with his brother‘s girl. AGAIN. The tragedy and the tension whether Elena would fall for him too, made this so fun to watch. The final nail in the coffin was when he told her, he loved her but compelled her to forget. Oh, and of course the dance…

3) Sookie x Eric (Sookie Stackhouse Novels)

The moment Sookie laid eyes on Eric for the first time and him shamelessly flirting with her in front of Bill, I was a goner. Bill always gave me an ick feeling. I just never understood why Sookie was interested in him apart from the fact that she couldn’t hear his thoughts. In the books there was always a spark whenever Sookie and Eric met. I liked that Eric was down for anything as long as it involved Sookie (going undercover to an orgy for example), that he was always (brutally at times) honest with her, that he protected and cared for her no matter what. He respected her decisions. There were no silly games between them. As far as vampire feelings for humans go in this universe, I do think he loved her deeply. As for her: she loved him too but also knew that it would never end well. Such a sassy, sexy ship.

4) Captain Jack Sparrow x Elizabeth

One if my original all-time favourite ships. The sparrow and the swan. I liked their dynamics in CotBP but grew obsessed with them during DMC. Her being restricted by society’s expectations of her and him being the adventurous, clever pirate she had already read about. I mean pleeeeeaaase: the themes alone! She longs for freedom. He and his lifestyle are the definition of freedom. She has a fierce and untamed nature just like the sea. He is in love with the sea. I think Jack brings out her true self just like she brings out his. She matches his scheming talent but I always thought Elizabeth to be more ruthless than Jack. I don’t know what I expected but her ending up alone on an island, married and back in the corset was not it.

5) Hermione x Draco (Harry Potter)

Another one of my original ships. The muggle born and the son of an old wizard family, who hate muggle borns and are/were loyal to the Dark Lord. The drama, tension and potential storylines with this setup is off the charts. I think I fell for them once the 3rd movie came around. That slap and Hermione urging Hagrid to take Draco to the Madam Pomfrey was pure gold for my shipper heart. I started to get obsessed with them when I read the 4th book as they stumbled upon him during the world cup. I always and forever will read this scene as Draco warning them about the dangers of the Deatheaters disguised as his typical insults. There were both lines in the movies as well as in the books that always made be believe that Draco might have had a crush on Hermione at some point. I was waiting for a redemption arc in the last book which never happened. I also always thought that Hermione needed a partner who matched her intellect to be truly fulfilled and who appreciated her Slytherin traits (cunning, ambition).

6) Sakura x Kakashi (Naruto)

So, this is a complicated one. He is 14 years her senior and her sensei. That is problematic. I didn’t ship them when she was a child. BUT: I liked the idea of them, if the circumstances were different (same age or time travel AU). Kakashi seemed to appreciate her intelligence and her talent for chakra control. He never made her feel weak and he always protected her the best he could. During Shippuden his reaction was always shown when Sakura suffered because of Sasuke. And Kakashi looked rather heart broken and sad for her. He watched over her and cared for her during the last battle. The incredulous (at times murdering) look he gave Sasuke when he mistreated Sakura was glorious. His whole mission was to make sure she survived. So, yeah, if the circumstances were different…also the hand on the cheek is canon🥺 Sakura deserved someone who appreciated her love and loyalty.

7) Claire x Jamie (Outlander)

What I liked about this couple right away (in stark contrast to Frank to whom Claire is married to) was their back and forth, the easiness with which they held conversations with each other and the pure fun they had while doing so. They played off each other without any hassle. Just two people with the same intellect, temper and the same humour hitting it of. This combined with the twist that Claire is the experienced one in all sexual and romantic matters while Jamie is the virgin was absolutely addictive. They just matched. Their chemistry was off of everything that is considered holy.

6) Hannibal x Will Graham (Hannibal)

At first I enjoyed their strange friendship, which quickly turned into mutual respect. May it be due to the actors or how the scenes between them were written but the chemistry was wild right from the beginning. The classical seduction to the dark side trope with a twist: Will is actually just like Hannibal and fights against the urge to kill but actually understands killing. To him just like to Hannibal it makes sense to kill. It even is beautiful. That dynamic hooked me from day one. The back and forth of their ideals. I think Hannibal was rather quickly aware of his feelings for Will. The fact that Will at first rejected him and his whole being but in the end fell for him as well, was fascinating to watch. Just pure and raw.

8) Jaime x Brienne (A Song of Ice and Fire)

I love the tropes surrounding this couple: him, beautiful on the outside but ugly inside and her, ugly on the outside but the heart of a true knight inside. Beauty and the best. Their banter and clash of ideals is what attracted me to them (as well Jaime trying to get a reaction out of Brienne with his constant insults and borderline teasing). The way Jaime unknowingly started to grow a soft spot for the wench and slowly opened up to her, losing his hand (his identity as one of the best swordsmen) to protect her virtue all led to the best scene between them: the bath in Harrenhal. I fully shipped them afterwards. It‘s hard to imagine that Jaime had ever been this vulnerable with anyone but his brother before. He keeps on protecting her and she reminds him of his oaths. Just beautiful ✨

9) Buffy x Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

I was so obsessed with them at some point in my life — it wasn’t healthy anymore. First because of the ridiculous sexy way Spike played around with Buffy as his next slayer to kill. He was cunning and dangerous. Later because of how loyal, funny and good he was even without a soul. Him being a hopeless, awkward romantic while Buffy was straight to the point was a fun dynamic. In the later seasons I felt sorry for him because of how he was used and treated by Buffy but at least he got to go out like a true hero.

10) Beth x Daryl (The Walking Dead)

This was an unexpected one. I liked Daryl as a character but Beth was just a girl in the background who cut her arms. They were pushed together for a few episodes and because their views on life and their experiences were so different, it created this interesting dynamic. Somehow they worked. Daryl helped her get stronger and Beth helped him to deal with his emotions. She was innocent. He was rugged and beaten down by life. There was something delicate between them that was never allowed to grow.

13) Rae x Finn (My Mad Fat Diary)

Just two nerds obsessed with Oasis and each other. Typical teenager drama. Because of her seize and her body and mental issues Rae doesn’t think she deserves Finn or that he is even interested in her. She convinces herself to the point that she gives her v-card to another guy around her body seize. Finn on the other hand has already decided that he likes Rae and is all cute and touchy with her. The cuteness of their relationship and Finn‘s straight forward „Idk what your problem is but I like you just the way you are“ endeared me to this couple. Also Rae is hilarious.

14) Asoka x Rex (The Clone Wars Series)

Another problematic ship due to her being his superior and him being (at least) physically older when they were first introduced to each other. I think it‘s the fact that Order 66 looms on the horizon and all the drama and heartbreak that comes with it, what got me into this ship. Asoka transforms from an insecure padawan who gets her squad killed into a formidable force user and along the way she earned Rex‘ respect. Plus I‘m a sucker for how fierce she gets every time Rex is in trouble/attacked. They protect and care for each other and if they weren’t Jedi and Clone I could totally see them as a power couple.

“Beth! You’re home!”  Beth slowly turns in disbelief and has to force herself to breathe as she sets eyes on him. The need to throw herself headlong into his arms is all-consuming. The memory of who he is suddenly snaps into place. Daryl. Her Daryl.  “Happy to see ya, Greene,” Daryl says with a broad smile.  Greene. He still calls her Greene. Not Mrs. Richards. She’s still Beth Greene to him, and she’s sure that’s supposed to mean something, but she can’t think of why. Greene. The sound of it sends sparks through her veins as he strides up the driveway, offering a courtesy glance up to Jimmy on the porch behind her before he’s tugging her into his arms. Beth’s eyes slam shut as she melts against him, his strong arms holding her so delicately as she feels him smile against her hair. He still smells like she remembers - like Georgia Pine, fresh water, motor oil and the faint remnants of whatever cologne or soap he uses. There’s no dirt and grime lingering underneath, just Daryl in his purest form and it makes her feel high, more alive than any of the drugs they’ve been giving her at the hospital. She pulls away to look at him properly and he keeps hold of one of her hands, their fingers lightly clasped together as he smiles down at her. “What are you… Daryl? I can’t believe you’re here.” Beth studies him, feeling like she’s known him a lifetime and for twenty seconds all at once.  “What? Ya didn’ think I was gonna sit on my ass at home knowin’ my best friend was comin’ home today, did ya?” He chuckles, grabbing her shoulders and squeezing gently before he slings his arm around her shoulder and begins to walk them towards the house. “Besides, I live next door. That’d make me a real dick, don’t ya think.”  “Sorry, I just… things are all a bit hazy still,” Beth apologises as they fall into step with each other. She fists her hand into the shirt at his back, needing to feel grounded by him.  “Don’t do that, ya got nothin’ to be sorry for. I’s just teasin’. Did you get the flowers? Leah wanted to send roses but I thought you’d like the wildflowers more. Maggie helped pick out your favourites,” Daryl says, and she smiles at the little blush that creeps in high on his cheeks.  “I did. I shoulda known they were from you,” Beth says, unsure of where the familiarity between them has come from, but it feels so good.

Here it is, the first story inspired by TTPD. I hope you all love it, this was one of those stories that just begged to be written.

what fandoms do you write in?

this year it was top gun, masters of the air, and the walking dead (all of which came as surprises to me if we're being so totally honest)

how many words have you published in 2024?

ao3 says 97k??? which is blowing my mind a bit

like huh?? what??? huh??? (it's because i finished posting my multi-chapter top gun fic at the beginning of this year but like. still)

what is your greatest achievement this year?

probably that 97k word count, but honestly i think some of the things i did with my writing that i'm proudest of are in nothing but blue skies from now on

what are your top three fics you've written this year?

what was your biggest pit of despair moment?

i hit a moment writing my blue skies fics where i was wondering what in the hell i was doing because literally how did i convince myself i could write because none of what i was trying to do seemed like it was working

i have finally learned how to get my brain to sit with something to full on rewrites and not just pick at things that are bugging me in my stories sporadically

did you beta any fics? any faves you want to shout out?

i sometimes get the opportunity at first read for @redbelles which always results in paaAAAAIIIiinn because she's a gremlin who insists on hurting my feelings

what three fics have you read this year that you love?

surfacing, which is just like is just such a beautifully written journey that deals with trauma and survival and hope and i adore it and also it's sequel anastasis which is a beautifully written story that deals with grief and hope and recovery (and i am soooo normal about them both)

and then i just read a fic that just perfectly scratched a particular itch in my brain: bone broth. it's everything that i have never seemed to find for that particular pairing and it gave me brain worms

what ideas are percolating for next year?

i have an idea for a haunting type fic for bethyl that i won't be able to start until next year with things i have currently going on. a musician au also for bethyl. some dune related psychosexual fuckery is definitely still on the docket and i just got another idea for something for that so that's fun. oh and i have like three more masters of the air ideas that are definitely happening. i will be making that parachute dress everyone's problem.

—New Things I Tried: writing an almost-cross-over with Beth/Daryl and Detroit: Become Human. that was a fun venture into a different universe that was not of my own creation, fitting in two characters who definitely didn't belong and somehow making them belong. writing not one, but two OC's that people actually care about in Small Miracles. i genuinely didn't think anyone would care much for Gale or Mae, but now they've become nearly as beloved to the readers as they are to me and honestly, i cannot describe how good that makes me feel! particularly for my little sentient zombie boy <3

—Fic I Spent the Most Time On: Small Miracles ... and i am still spending time on it. y'all have no idea. i made playlists, i listened to songs on repeat, i added and extracted and added again to the outline, i brainstormed during downtime at work, i got new ideas while watching movies and shows. i am still doing all those things, i'm just not quite capable of putting thoughts and ideas into words like i was throughout the majority of 2024.

—Fic I Spent the Least Time On: To Love is To Be Alive -- it came to me fast and hard, i wrote it in about 2-3 weeks because it was so rapidly coming into my head and i just had to get it out.

—Favourite Thing I Wrote: Small Miracles ... duh. i fucking love this fic and still do. i can't wait to finish it.

—Something I Finished: ummm let's be so real... the only thing i actually finished this year was To Love is To Be Alive ... sorry about that for my readers. i swear to GOD i'm doing my best to finish at least ONE more thing omg

—Miscellaneous Highlights: i played a lot more video games and read a lot more books this year than i think i have in the last five years, so that's a highlight for me (hello, i actually discovered, played, and rapidly became obsessed with the entire Life is Strange series and its universe, as well as all of the Supermassive games, from Until Dawn to The Quarry and through the entire Dark Pictures Anthology!) because i love taking inspiration from other fiction in every form. i'm very proud of myself. also, i started converting my fic Lunacy Fringe into an original novel, and it's about 3/4th of the way finished, so i am actually excited to finish that and put it out into the world just to say i did it, just to say that i actually wrote my own original novel and contributed it to the millions upon millions of self-published novels available online lol (i guess i wanna contribute to The Zeitgeist ?? idk if i'm even using that correctly??). i also pushed myself and delved into writing OC's into one of my fics and found that it was well-received, which gave me a bit of a confidence boost! not to mention, i reread Wild Love by LeighJ and commented (because for some reason i didn't comment the first time i read it?? what the hell was wrong with me?) and it ended up sparking her to add some deleted scenes and create a series that i now ADORE, and there is nothing i love more than encouraging other writers and seeing what they can come up with when they're reminded of how much their writing is appreciated. i am also incredibly proud and appreciative of @mistressheroine for everything she's written this year and all the help she's given me in my own writing, and for being such an amazing friend and just an overall great person to talk to and fangirl with. also mad kudos to @raginglittlehurricane for our shared obsession with Kyle Gallner and the Dinner in America movie, and all those countless tiktok edits we send to each other (girl, i am impatiently awaiting the release of that DiA fic... just saying).

—Writing Goals for 2025:

finish Small Miracles.

finish hot girl summer (playing by the rules).

start posting and continue writing cuffing season (part 6 of in for a penny, in for a pound).

add some chapters/possibly complete who we gotta be and Redire A Morte.

finally finish and publish Lunacy Fringe as an original novel.

somehow make time to finish and post the final chapters of Don't Make Me Haunt You.

make some more headway on my original zombie apocalypse novel, even if it's just a fully-fleshed outline.

—Final Thoughts: i have a lot of shit on my plate, especially for a sleepy bitch who works full-time and also enjoys other endeavors like movies, shows, and video games. (ps: give me a follow on twitch @im1mmortal to see me livestream like two or three times a month lol) but all in all, i feel like i am continuing to learn and grow as a writer and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters to me. i want to read as many books as i can, consume as much well-written media as possible, and learn as much as possible when it comes to making my own dreams come true. i know i have a lot of WIPs sitting around just waiting to be finished, and believe me, i see all the comments urging me to continue and finish, and i desperately want to, but i have to go off of vibes. it sounds lame, but it's true. i refuse to write unless i feel like i am writing from my heart. i erase anything that feels forced or soulless. quality over quantity all day, every day. but i also recognize that i'm kind of an idiot who has a strength in starting things and reaching the point of climax, and my greatest weakness is actually writing the climax and reaching the conclusion. i'm working on that all the time, and i strive to change it. but what really keeps me going is the feedback and the random comments and messages, even if they're months or years later, letting me know that something i wrote resonated with someone far away who i will never meet or actually know. it gives me all the motivation i need. i just have to find that last little passage past the mental block to continue writing and actually finish something. oh... and the energy LOL. seriously tho, i love this fandom, i adore all of the various fics i've been blessed enough to read because they offer such different perspectives on characters and settings and they open up my mind to entirely new possibilities. not to mention, i've made some of the absolute best friends through fandom and fanfic. i wouldn't trade it for the world. all i ask for is a little patience and understanding. and i really hope to keep you all in my heart and see y'all on the other side of whatever this is as we traverse life and fiction and discover how the two overlap in ways we never could have imagined <3

something you hate: hypocrisy.

something you collect: a lot of shit, honestly. i collect merch from different fandoms (twd, hp, star wars, lotr, disney...)

something you forget: if i've locked my car. even when i'm sure i've locked it 10 times in a row, i'll still go back and double check.

what's your love language?: huh? what's that? if i had to choose, i'd say acts of service.

favorite movie/show: uh-oh... uhmm... that's so difficult. i'll say outlaw king and the lion king, but i have a hundred.

favorite food: burnt cheesecake. and i'm lactose intolerant 😭

favorite animal: horses!

are you musical?: oh yeah...

what were you like as a child?: a crybaby. now i am an angry crybaby, but a crybaby nonetheless.

favorite subject at school?: natural sciences.

least favorite subject?: maths.

what's your best character trait?: i'd say that i like to help people as much as i can, even when it's detrimental to myself sometimes.

what's your worst character trait?: i guess i'm my harshest critic. oh, and the impending doom social anxiety brings upon me (anyone else thinks everyone hates them? yea, welcome, please, come in)

if you could change any detail of your day right now what would it be?: a specific coworker. being a woman in science sucks sometimes...

if you could travel in time who would you like to meet?: assuming we are talking famous people, robert the bruce and rosalind franklin.
