Hello everyone! As infamous gets more dense and variable heavy with the upcoming update and with me finishing off the prologue, it's time to look for some kind people to help me beta test and provide additional help.

As a beta tester you will:

find errors, bugs and inconsistencies

be in a beta testing discord (must have a discord account)

agree not to reveal any information on the story and what is discussed on discord

reading the story multiple times/agree to the fact that you will likely be spoiled in case extra context is needed

put up with my endless rambling about the story lolol

Coming Soon To A Road Near You: “Full Self-Driving”

Video clips from traffic surveillance cameras on the San Francisco Bay Bridge on Thanksgiving morning show a white Tesla reportedly in “Full Self-Driving” mode crossing over to the fast lane and abruptly breaking, resulting in an eight-car pileup.

Just hours before the crash, Tesla CEO Elon Musk had triumphantly announced that Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” capability was available in North America, congratulating Tesla employees on a “major milestone.” By the end of last year, Tesla had rolled out the feature to over 285,000 people in North America, according to the company.

A Tesla Model S vehicle which the driver claimed to be using the 'Self Driving' feature caused an eight-vehicle crash on the San Francisco Bay Bridge on Thanksgiving Day, resulting in the injury of nine people.

The driver reported to the police that he had been using Tesla's "Full Self-Driving" feature prior to the incident.

The crash happened on the same day that Elon Musk announced that the beta-testing of FSD would be expanded from a limited set of Tesla owners to "anyone in North America who requests it."

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation into the incident.

The NHTSA has said that it plans to examine a crash in Ohio also involving a Tesla that may have been using the automated-driving system. The agency has investigated a total of 35 crashes that potentially involved Tesla’s Autopilot highway-driving system. A total of 19 people have died in the crashes.

Call for Beta Testers

Hello!

As I get into writing more complex sections of Chapter 2, I'd appreciate some help in testing these more complex, branching sections and my spelling/grammar/prose. I'm also looking for opinions on the new prologue that I've recently written, as I want to refine it as much as possible before showing it to the public.

To this end, I'm asking for beta testers again, to be given access to Bladeweaver's beta build: it's around 30k words ahead of the current public demo, and is updated weekly.

You don't need any kind of prior/'formal' experience beta testing, I only ask that you try to test actively and aren't afraid to offer criticism. I can take it, and it's better for the game in the end haha.

I will make a post about beta testers if I need a few extra. I have gotten a few offers, but I will find out if I need extra time when I have written the final draft of chapter four.

Now that Chapter 2 is almost at the finish line, I would like some beta testers to help me make sure it's ready to be published !

Some things to take note of:

I do want to make it clear that beta testing will be done on Discord (when I figure out how to work it...) and you will need a Discord account to do it.

I would prefer beta testers be 18+ only because I'm 23 years old and would rather not privately chat with minors. I just feel uncomfortable! Plus, the story's rating may or may not change to reflect that in the future.

I ask for discretion. There will be chats that will be heavily spoilery, I may say things to add context for present chapters that beta testers need. Casual chats may be spoilery so I ask that beta testers keep it in the chat and don't spread the details of the story and keep it between our group.

Quick question! Is there any specific info you need from people interested in beta reading (experience, references, etc.)?

If you wanted to let me know whether you'd be willing to read all routes (Q, S, N) or focusing on one, or if you're willing to do a sensitivity testing on a trans or non-binary MC route, that would be useful to know so I can balance out the pool of testers I have.

Hi everyone, I have an update for the chosen beta testers. Everyone selected has received a message from me here on Tumblr - please respond by tomorrow (26 August 2024) or you won't be added to the testing channel. Those already on the testing channel won't receive a message from me since you're already on the channel.

Thank you to those who applied and if you didn't get chosen, it's mostly because I'm trying to keep the testing group to a select few so it doesn't get too overwhelming to manage. I will be opening the testing form closer to the end of the year so keep an eye out if you'd like to still join.
