I feel like my English is not good enough to write a fanfiction and because it’s been rotting in my head for months, here is my “Neil Josten is a vet and Andrew Minyard is a criminologist” Andreil AU:

So basically Andrew Minyard (and his mental support cat Sir) moved from US to Austria to get criminology degree (why? because I said so?). So, he lives in small city of Austria, Graz. Aaron also studies here is medical school and Kevin sometimes flies from Ireland to visit them on holidays. Niky is still salty theу chose Austria over Germany, (he will live). His life is quiet and peaceful. He is been doing good lately.

For the finals, this year, he needs to write a research paper about some interesting case. He pick the case of Baltimore’s Butcher. Whole research goes great until he stumbles across infuriating lack of information about Butcher’s son, which is well-needed for his paper, so he just stares on only available picture of Nathaniel for hours, trying to figure out what happened years ago.

But as he writes his paper (at 3 am) his cat suddenly gets really sick. (like really sick) He calls Renee (cuz she is a vet, duh) but she is out of town and can’t help, so she gives him a number of her colleague (you guessed it) — Neil Josten. He calls him and ask for help.

Neil agrees to help and literally sprints to Andrew’s place to help Sir (good thing they live close to each other, right?) he makes it on time and saves Sir’s life. Andrew like a super grateful owner offers him a tea.

As they are drinking tea at his kitchen, Minyard stares at Neil (covered in Sir’s puke, dark circles under his eyes, messy hair, tired af, y’know, the definition of sexy) then his eyes find his laptop (that still has Nathaniel’s photo on display) and then they dart back to the guy that just had saved his cat and he goes like:

Andrew: wait a minute, what the actual—

This is Wally Darling. He’s a mixed practice vet, meaning he works on both large and small animals (cows, horses and house pets)! Wally also happens to be the founder of the Welcome Home Veterinarian Clinic, the very first clinic to offer a wide range of specialists for any and all of your pets needs! He is very passionate about his job and loves being able to work with all of his friends!

This is my new Welcome Home AU! Or at least an attempt at one lol. In this AU, all of the characters are veterinarians and work at the same clinic. So far, I have everyone’s roles, personality, and some backstories planned out. I haven’t managed to draw any of the characters besides Wally but will be trying to work on that! I also don’t really know what I’m going to call this AU. So far it’s just ‘Veterinarian AU’ because it’s quite easy to understand. But I could also use the initials of the clinics name. If you have any suggestions let me know!

If you’ve seen this post somehow in the throng of all the other amazing AUs, give it some love please. This is something that I’m actually excited to work on for once and will help me improve my art in the long run! there should be made a reality series about teaching kittens how all these regular every day things aren't dangerous. never before have i done more shit that's very regular but i've never thought about this way before – read list below the cut

the kittens are now nearly 5 weeks old, and i'm doing the following every fucking day:

i'm ringing the doorbell whenever i leave and enter the house

i'm training obedience with the dog right outside the kittens' playpen (coincidentally we're practicing "speak")

i have a speaker playing music, varying the volume throughout the day

i am plowing through at least two, maybe three star wars movies a day, followed by various action movies

i "accidentally" drop things to clatter on the floor

i put them in a cat bed next to my computer during zoom meetings

i have the balcony door open to expose them to car noises, people hollering, deliveries to the nearby store, kids screaming, etc.

i play video games, and i play games on loud volumes to make them used to other sets of noises (i play various fifa versions, nhl 23, red dead redemption (1+2), red dead revolver, jedi: a star wars story – i've even dug out my old playstation 2 so i can play various buzz games)

i photograph them a lot to make them used to the shutter noise of the camera

i bring out the strong photo-light for them to get used to as well

every phone call i answer, is answered on speaker

i vacuum. my house has never been freer of dust. and when i don't vacuum, our roomba does his thing

i use the dishwasher, the microwave, the washing machine, the airfryer, the toaster, blender, food processor (good fucking thing i enjoy making food)

i play videos of jock zonfrillo (rest in peace king) to make them used to angry-sounding scots shouting

i rattle with the bags of dryfood in front of them to make sure they're not scared of their food-source

tik tok. i hate the app, the frequent change of too much noise is brilliant for them.

car rides. we just bring them into the car and go for car rides.

pick them up and manhandle them (affectionately) around to make sure they won't run away when people approach them

i spend hours sitting with them when i write to make sure the sound of keyboards aren't scary (i had a cat once who thought keyboards were terrifying)

open and close doors, close doors a little hard, just to make them used to stuff

this has resulted in kittens that strike a pose for the camera, climb me like a fucking cat tree, and that much rather sits front and center to curiously at things that has catmom going "bye losers"
