Why You Should Consider Buying A Second-Hand Phone
A second hand phone when refurbished is a very useful device. Today people prefer a second-hand phone over a new one. A second-hand phone is very economical compared to a brand-new phone. Also, it helps reduce e-waste, one device at a time. A second-hand phone which is professionally refurbished is as good as new. It is fully functional and works smoothly. A lot of sellers even offer a warranty on second-hand phones. One of them is www.mobigarage.com.

In India, iPhones are not cheap. While you can obtain an early version like the iPhone 6 for a reasonable price, a second-hand iPhone is the best choice if you want to get a more recently published version.

FAQ + About (for mobile)
About me: My name is Milli (she/her), 25yrs. I love taking photos of nature and my Subaru. I’m a huge nerd about mushrooms, plants, and skulls. I’ve been hiking ever since I was a little kid and at this point I feel at home in the woods.
I have a flock of chickens, a boyfriend, a dog, and waaay too many house plants
Did you take all the photos on this blog?
Yep, every photo posted here was taken by yours truly unless otherwise noted (very rare).
What camera/lenses do you use?
My crop sensor/work kit is:
Nikon D7100
10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR
Dolica ZX600B103 Tripod
My full frame kit is:
Nikon D850
Sigma 150-600mm f5.6-6.3
50mm f/1.8 G
60mm f/2.8 ED Macro
Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR G
17-35mm f2.8
20mm 1.8 ED sold
Sigma 150-500mm f5.6-6.3  sold
Kenko extension tubes
Raynox 250
Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB (works for macro + everything else)
Filters and other gear:
Hoya circular polarizers + Stop down/up kit
Nikon camera backpack (discontinued)/TARION Camera Backpack
Instax Mini 90
Other cameras I’ve owned:
D50
D200
D3000
D7000
Here’s my lens wish list, some are on there for fun and some I actually want.
What camera gear would you recommend for a beginner?
Before you worry too much about getting the best gear, make sure you learn how to use it first. You could go out and buy the fanciest camera and lenses and still not take good photos because you don’t know how to use your camera or how to “see”. There’s also a saying, “you marry your lenses and date your bodies”. Invest in good lenses, preferably full frame compatible ones in case you ever decide to upgrade to full frame, and get a cheaper body to start. With that out of the way…
If you’re just starting out, I’d recommend getting a refurbished or used camera from the D7100+ line. They’ve come down in price as of late and are pretty solid cameras. Just make sure to check the shutter count.
I’d skip anything from the D3000 & D5000 lines. They’re not bad cameras but they do not have built in autofocus meaning they rely on the lens itself having autofocus. This isn’t horrible but it does limit what lenses you can use (and some of the lenses that won’t autofocus with those cameras are good AND cheap) and that can be confusing for a beginner.
As for a lens, a 50mm f/1.8, or 35mm f/1.8 is a great lens. Both lenses are inexpensive, have good quality glass, and can used for nearly everything. The 18-55mm lens that comes with cameras isn’t bad either.
I don’t shoot Canon/Sony/whatever else so I can’t give any advice there sorry!
How did you learn to take photos?
LOTS of practice, I first picked up a camera back in 2013. In high school and college I took photography classes but ultimately I didn’t really learn much from them, they started at too basic of a level.
I did learn a lot about photography from taking art classes however. They taught me framing, how to use shadows/light, and movement in a photo (where does your eye travel when you view an image/art piece). My mom is also a professional photojournalist so I picked up some knowledge from her and my grandfather who’s also a published photographer.
How can I take better photos?
Again, lots of practice. Learn what every setting and button on your camera does, try different shooting modes, take the same photo at several different apertures and shutter speeds to see what changes. You can learn a lot from reading articles too but the best way to learn, imo, is by doing. Don’t worry about getting the best gear and the best camera, learn how to take photos first.
Study other photographers photos, and even paintings, and see what you like. Pay attention to directional lines and where your eye travels. Learn how to use Photoshop/Lightroom (just pirate it). Take photos in different weather, lighting, and times of day.
What programs do you use to edit? What presets/filters do you use?
I use Lightroom and Photoshop Classic along with custom presets that I’ve made for different situations (fog, snow, etc) to process most of my images and then I make minor tweaks. A lot of my presets started as VSCO presets and then I kept the things I liked and changed the things I didn’t.
What is your job?
I’m a real estate photographer specializing in short term rentals. I love it.
Are you related to Eddie Vedder?
Yep, we’re very distantly related. Something like 7th cousins twice removed but I’ve never met him.
Can you add a photo to your print shop?
Sure! Just tell me the name of the photo (or link it if possible, I reuse a lot of names) you want added and I’ll get it up there.
May I use one of your photos?
I’m 100% ok with people using my photos as a reference for drawing/painting, I’d even love to see the result. For anything else, just shoot me an ask beforehand and I’ll let you know. Please do not repost my photos on Tumblr or elsewhere without my permission.

Hibari uses a rifle that transforms other weapons in flowers…this type of rifle was invented by Vegapunk when he was younger.
Do you think Vegapunk (or some marine weapon artisan) proposed Birdie to take this type of rifle ? 🤣🤣
(Birdie seems to use Egghead technology to fight…maybe she met Vegapunk and went to egghead too?🤔)
Very good catch! Birdie does indeed use Vegapunk's technology to fight and she spent some time on Egghead.
A few of you have noticed that, in chapter 1066, Vegapunk shows Luffy & co. antigravity boots that are awfully similar to what birdie uses to enhance her mobility...
Tumblr media
Her boots come indeed from Egghead! The same goes for her rifle, Stray. This is an extract from the prologue of Bonds:
Stray was part of a prototype stock that Vegapunk and the Scientific Division never pursued after the first trial. The sniper squad found them too light, and the finesse required to use the rifle properly was way too demanding, unrealistic to be used in battle. The prototypes were handed over and recycled for different, heavier weapons. Except for yours, because you refused – and Aokiji enabled it. The last of its kind. You named it Stray.
Differently from her rifle, which was a "failed" experiment, the hypermobility boots are a successful model, although Vegapunk does not consider them a finished product yet. Birdie was not the only marine using them, but they haven't been mass-produced because of the high costs of production and necessary training. You have to put in a special request to get the training and, once completed, another special request to get the boots. Birdie was able to skip all of this thanks to Aokiji (say what you want about her time in the Marines, but as long as Aokiji was around, ya girl was quite the spoiled brat) (this also means she had to learn how to use the boots by herself tho).
Vegapunk's team sent other samples her way, stuff comparable to Hibari's flower rifle. The hope was to refurbish these more "pacifist" designs, since birdie was one of the few soldiers that could make full use of this technology, somehow. But birdie fired such rifle once, made a disgusted face, and dropped it forever. On the other hand, Hibari picked it up and breathed new life into those ideals.
Tumblr media
All this taps a little into birdie and Hibari's relationship. Initially, Hibari looked up to birdie as one of the best snipers in the Marines (and another young woman at that). Also encouraged by Koby, she asked birdie several times to train her, but birdie always refused to formally take her as an apprentice. She gave Hibari a few pointers and that was it. Eventually, Hibari started to view her as a selfish snob - and it wasn't totally unjustified. Add a bit of jealousy in the mix because of Koby, and you'll get to the point when Hibari decided to do everything in her power to surpass birdie. Despite being two sharpshooters, the two characters are in antithesis, and Hibari's weapon of choice is another element to it. There are more: Hibari's colorful and accessorized outfits as opposed to birdie's simple style, her kind and sensitive nature, good team work abilities, etc. It's also ironic that Aokiji froze Hibari without a second thought.
Coming back to the original question, I mentioned in the story that birdie spent a few days on Egghead during her rehabilitation, just after her captivity with the Kid Pirates. That's where she got a newer version of the boots. She also participated in firearms testing and was scheduled to receive several prototypes to test in the field... if only she hadn't deserted. She never met Vegapunk in person though, he's far too busy to spend his time with such a side project. She only briefly met Edison.

MSG86: SIGNAL LORE
will be rambling about my potential characterizations for this AU here, gonna be listing down characters in two halves: Titans and AEUG.
Titans Test Team "VOGEL" - EFSF Penrose (Alexandria-class)
All Cyber Newtypes are from Augusta Newtype Labs, and will be denoted as ANT.
ANT-512 "Elster" - A former EFSF pilot and veteran of the One Year War. One of the EFSF's initial newtype pilots at the end of the OYW, she was sent to Augusta to be enhanced, later made to join the Titans Test Team "VOGEL" unit as a test pilot. Pilots a RX-121-2 Gundam TR-1 "Hazel Early Type".
ANT-317 "Falke" - A former Zeonic veteran under detainment by the EFSF following their victory at A Baoa Qu. Sent to Augusta Newtype Labs for experimentation and as a result has lost her memories during enhancement. Seeking the chance of having Augusta Labs' most potent Cyber Newtype, she was made commander of the Vogel Unit. She pilots a RX-124 Gundam TR-6 "Psyco Inle".
Lt. Ariane Yeong - A communications officer, MS researcher and unknowing Newtype test subject onboard the Penrose. Originally from the colonies, her aunt had brought her to enlist in the EFF military after the OYW, leading to her being chosen for the Titans in 0083 after the Stardust Rebellion. She does not realize the package of the Penrose - the mobile armor ORX-NT-0001 "Signalis" - was slowly attuning to her latent Newtype abilities.
Cpt. Adler - Captain of the Alexandria-Class ship "Penrose", secretly one of the initial Cyber Newtypes that was supposed to be part of the Vogel unit, but seeing his past life as an excellent ship captain of the One Year War, he was placed directly under the order of Bask Om to put an eye on the Vogel Unit's actions and tests.
ANT-921 - "Eule" (RX-107 Rosette)
ANT-194 - "Star" (RX-124 TR-6 Hazel II)
ANT-823 - "Storch" (ORX-005 Gaplant TR-5)
ANT-444 - "Mynah" (RX-121-1+FF-X29A Gundam TR-1 [Hazel-Rah] Full Armor)
ANT-023 - "Kolibri" (RX-124 Gundam TR-6 Haze'n-thley II)
ANT-481 - "Ara" (RGM-79EW GM EWAC)
AEUG - "The King in Yellow" Team
Alisa Seo - A former EFF veteran amd ace pilot that had served with the Cyber Newtype known as Elster prior to her enhancement. Seeking to uncover answers as to what happened to her former sister-in-arms. Pilots an older model RGM-79SPII GM Sniper II.
Isolde Itou - A young Earthnoid woman who used to be friends with Ariane. After her departure from Earth and the unraveling of the Colony 30 incident, she seeks to find Ariane as a form of penance for letting her join the Titans.
Erika Itou - The twin sister of Isolde and also a good friend of Ariane. Joined the AEUG after witnessing Colony 30. Tries her best to help her sister and find out what happened to Ariane. Pilots a refurbished RGM-79 GM Guards Type.

Yooo are you looking for a new phone (in the UK) but have no idea where to start?
Martin Lewis (like with so many other things) has your back with this:
There are A Ton of filters (whether it has a headphone jack, screen size, release date, etc) and you can specifically search for refurbished phones to reduce the environmental impact of getting a new phone (they're much cheaper also)
I used it to get a replacement for my fairphone 3 because much as I love the sustainability principles of the fairphone, it does kinda suck as a phone and I can't afford £600+ to upgrade to their newest one
My new (to me) phone cost under £160 (including postage and a screen protector add on) and was super easy to choose because I could filter for exactly what I was looking for. Other sites I was looking at had the same refurbished phone listed for £250+
If you're looking for something simple then you can get phones for well under £50, and if you're looking for something very high end and new then you can still make sure you're getting it from the place that'll give you the best price
