•David wants to change you immediately

•He hates seeing you sick, miserable or in any kind of pain and while most people wouldn’t believe David can be sympathetic, for you he very much is

•He has been trying to get you to turn for a long time and while this is a convenient way of convincing you, he really just wants you to get better

•David hasn’t been sick in…several hundred years. He’s the oldest out of the whole pack and so he remembers sickness the least of all of them, the only thing he can relate it to is not feeding for a long amount of time and he knows how painful that gets to be

•He would lay with you in the bed in the cave, whether you live with them in the cave yet or not, that is where you will be staying and you have no choice, he won’t let you be alone while you’re ill

•He often gives you massages whenever your muscles are achy, he knows how good it makes you feel and it makes him feel like he’s able to do something to help you, even if it’s just to relieve a small bit of your discomfort

•He’ll definitely make Marko go out to get you food, though he doesn’t know what kind of food since you keep insisting that you aren’t hungry

•David wants to care for you, he just has no clue how and if you weren’t sick as a dog, it might even be adorable how frazzled he is

•Dwayne would be a major worrier every single time you get sick

•While he doesn’t remember what it’s like to personally be sick, he does remember his younger sister being sick when he was human and dying of a fever, so every time you’re even remotely warm he attempts to put you in an ice bath

•When you are bed ridden he is sure to make you stay in the cave, he’s always by your side and will often sit and read to you until you drift off to sleep

•He tries to keep you fed as much as you’ll allow with your upset stomach and he gives you plenty of water, to the point you wonder if vampires can survive being waterboarded cause you’re ready to kill him

•Dwayne is very much like David, he doesn’t know how to take care of a human that’s sick and he doesn’t understand that sometimes you just need to let an illness run it’s course

•Eventually he would buy some medicine at the store (Marko’s recommendation) and give it to you. He’s completely stunned by how quickly you finally fall asleep with how badly you’ve been coughing but the medicine works

Paul

•Paul is chill when you get sick, he knows most of the time it’s just a little cold

•He gives you a few shots of whiskey and smokes a joint with you until you pass out, most of the time you wake up feeling better

•When you don’t however, he becomes frantic

•He will run around like a human having a manic episode. He makes sure you’re as comfortable as you can be, and if you’re not he goes to the store and buys more pillows and softer blankets. Hell get you new pajamas and more boxes of tissues than you’ll ever use

•He cleans the entire area you’re in as best he can in a cave, trying to get rid of germs that could make you sick all over again. It would be funny if you didn’t want to strangle him for moving so supernaturally fast that he makes you even more dizzy which makes your stuffy head hurt more

•He tries not to bother you too much, getting you to sleep as much as he can because apparently humans only heal when they’re sleeping so you need to sleep until you feel better

•He doesn’t quite understand that there’s a limit to how much NyQuil you can take

•Paul means well and he wants to help, he just goes too far with it most of the time

Marko

•Marko is probably the best of the boys to have taking care of you when you’re ill

•He gets you medicine immediately and actually reads the instructions to give you the correct dosage

•He ensures you are comfortable in the bed, making sure to keep the blankets on when you’re cold and removing them if and when your fever gets too high

•When you’re too warm, which seems to be most of the time, he will strip to his boxers and crawl into bed with you, his cold skin making you feel better almost instantly

•He goes to the store and gets you whatever you want but also picks some things for you to make you feel better. He gets you your favorite tea bags to make you hot tea, the Chamomile helping to calm you and be able to sleep better, he also gets you some cans of coke to sip on when your stomach is upset

•He makes you soup everyday to keep you eating, even if you cant hold too much down, it’s not too heavy on your stomach

•Marko will also rent movies (and by rent I mean take them from Max’s store when he’s not looking) to bring back for you two to watch together to keep you entertained

•Marko was a human not too long ago, Paul being the only one younger than him, and he remembers very well how to take care of sick people, he is very good at making sure you get well as quickly as you can

LITA Special Novel Excerpt: Sky and Prapai's Happily Ever After (Ch 20: Love Sky)

Chapter 20: Love Sky

"Professor Naphon Khraaaap?" 

"How is it going?"

"I came to send an assignment, Khraaaap." 

"Hahaha, why are you drawing out your words?"

Within the famous university’s new academic building for the Faculty of Architecture, which was just completed last year, up on the forth floor was a teachers’ office that had just been filled the previous year. A male student was hugging a cylinder as he walked in with a stunned face until the owner of the office laughed.

Professor Naphon, or Sky, looked at the sleepless student handing his assignment in and suddenly thought of his best friend.

Unbelievably, Rain is now a co-owner of an architecture and interior design firm.

Regarding Sky, after completing his master's degree, he worked for a company at first, and it wasn't bad. Then a close professor called to persuade him to return as a temporary guest lecturer in place of his recently retired professor, and Sky found that he liked the job.

When he came to his senses, he’d become a full-time teacher with his own room and was preparing for his Ph.D.

Human life is really uncertain.

From a child who had fallen out of love, drowned in tears, and kept hiding until he had to repeat a grade of high school, to now becoming a professor and doctoral student. Sky couldn't help but laugh at the memory of the heartache of the past. Now that he can live his life fully, he wants to do it to the max.

No, he is capable because he has supporters by his side.

Sky smiled, then looked down at the student who had already slumped his head against the desk.

"If you can't take it, go back to sleep."

"Professor, are you telling me to skip the morning lecture?" The other party asked in a sleepy voice.

"Then go to school." 

"Whoa, professor."

"Why, want me to say that you should go and sleep in the lecture room?"

That's all, the student raised his head with clear eyes

"No, but I want the professor to say that I can just lie down and wait in this room."

Sky narrowed his eyes on the student. Hey, did he imagine that this student was circling around him lately? If he doesn't come to his office, he often accidentally met him at the cafeteria. Sky’s beautiful eyes looked at the boy’s noticeably sharp face and realized that he was a good-looking student.

"A Faculty Moon too."

[TN: The male winner of a faculty pageant, meaning he was voted most handsome of his class.]

As he muttered, the one who was listening seemed to have erect ears, he immediately straightened out his chest to present himself.

"Yes Khrapom, I was Faculty Moon last year. But wait, how can you not know this, teacher? I am popular at university."

At the end of the sentence, the person who was shouting looked indignant that someone had only just noticed his popularity. His thoughts became increasingly obvious, so what Sky did was smile at him.

The professor smiled and looked idly, "Get out, I am working."

"And about sleeping and waiting..." 

"So, go sleep in the lecture room."

The person who was listening pouted, which made Sky feel like he was looking at a big dog.

If he was ten years younger than this, his heart might shake at the handsome face, but he really liked someone older.

"So, will you go to the cafeteria for lunch this afternoon?"

"I was planning to order some food." Sky smiled coldly, indicating that the boy could go.

"Then I'll eat with you."

The little puppy didn't give up and gave him special round pleading eyes that reminded him of...

Rain.

"Go to class now!"

This time Sky spoke in a deeper voice, at the same moment two other students came to deliver the same assignment. The big dog hadn’t walked three steps before he turned around, back to his original self without a hint of indignation.

"And this evening..."

"I have a date with my boyfriend."

Sky, who turned to pick up the student's assignment, turned around and gave a simple answer that made the boy who was listening hang his head in defeat and go.

The puppy had left, Sky turned to talk to the other two students, and even after they all disappeared out of sight, the young man couldn’t help laughing. 

The more he acts like that, the more I miss Rain.

If Sky had any feelings for this kid, it would probably just be affection for the memory of Rain in university. "If told to Phi Pai..."

Will he be jealous?

At the end of the sentence, he thought it funny enough to imagine a big man looking back with shiny eyes, not yelling, not saying much, but speaking in a firm voice that concealed his tension.

'I already trust you, Sky.’

Then he would ask about this over and over and over again. Just thinking about it, Sky wanted to laugh.

And like this, how could he have eyes to look at other people? In the end, he always goes back to thinking of only one person.

"If there's something like that? That kid is begging for me to torch his future already," Prapai said.

On weekends, Sky's usual routine is to clean his home and start making breakfast. Oh, did he say he moved in with Phi Pai about a year ago? So, the young man was now standing in the kitchen, turning on the coffee maker, telling his lover who is sitting at the dining table all the stories of the week.

The big man furrowed his brows, saying terrible things that would spoil the second year future of a child.

"You are too much, Phi Pai, and must I be a professor who lets a student lose his future over an invitation to dinner?" Sky jokingly put a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of the handsome man.

"So, make him move to another university."

The one who listened jokingly shook his head, took his own plate, took his seat, and began a peaceful breakfast.

As he ate, a pair of beautiful eyes glanced at the intimidating face that was somehow... getting more handsome day by day.

These days Rain still calls him to tell him every time he fights with Phi Phayu, but Sky found that he and Prapai were fighting less and less. It's not like they used to quarrel a lot, but it seemed that he and Prapai talked more, and matured, and Phi Pai listened so calmly that sometimes he couldn't help but think that their love had faded.

Or not. 

However, Sky finds that he really likes their conversations these days, and thinks he will like them more every day.

From a boyfriend to a lover who become a friend, partner, and life partner.

It's not that they've lost interest in each other, but because they've found a comfortable way of existing between the two of them.

While today, anyone who sees Phi Pai probably wouldn't believe that this man had been flirting like a horny cow in the past.

Prapai is now a young, energetic executive who has led the company further than his father had.

With an equally good sister as his assistant, they just expanded their business interests with Phi Pakin because Prapai heard that man wants a clean business. So it was a win-win deal for both of them. That kept the big man busy every day. Some days he came back late, and some days he brought homework to do at home.

But there was one thing Prapai always did without fail: Phi Pai will find one day off per week to spend time with him.

Sky is saying that other people have forgotten the image of a flirtatious man playing around.

When he thinks of that time, he pictures his boyfriend when he was young. It wasn't that Phi Pai was getting older, but it felt like that, a memory that made him fondly remember and smile.

Well, Sky's even older now than Phi Pai when he started flirting with him. Also...he likes Phi Pai now.

Sky looked at the tall, dark skinned man, who was sipping his coffee, the veins in his powerful forearms visible, his stern face darkening. There were more obvious pressure marks in the inner corners of his eyes. Clear eyes that held the power of a man with hundreds of thousands of subordinates, but those powerful eyes always looked at Sky gently. His tall and massive body was thick and tight with muscles, because someone was afraid Sky would fall in love with boyish guys, and so he was sure to find the chance to exercise a few times a week.

Okay.

He even loved Phi Pai's smile when he saw the deep groove in the corner of his mouth.

If he says that Phi Pai gets more and more handsome he older he gets, will he be thrown on the bed?

No, it's not like he likes old or young men, he just likes Phi Pai.

Personally, if there was something that Sky would change, he would probably ask Prapai to take better care of himself. That would be better.

"Sky, so next week, let me have the housekeeper come clean." 

"Oh, yes, I should be back on Sunday."

Sky turned his attention to the boyfriend, recalling the conversation last week. In fact, when they first moved in together they had a big fight over cleaning. Sky thought he could do it all his life, if he was in the dorm or at home. But Phi Pai, who was used to having maids do things for him, said it was more convenient. Sky, on the other hand, didn’t like the thought of other people messing with his home.

They then quarreled until Phi Pai finally allowed him to clean the two-story condo in the skyscraper that was their home. At first, he was still able to keep up with it, but as his work at the university piled up more and more, Phi Pai again came and sat beside him and asked in a worried tone… are you okay? 

At that time, all of Sky’s pride was shattered. In the past, if Phi Pai had said that, Sky would have been so angry that his blood would have flowed to his face, but after listening to those three words, he could only give up. They agreed to a compromise- Sky would take care of everything during the weekend, and let the maid to come in and clean up mid-week. And if there was a week when neither of them was around- like next week when he was going to visit his father- he’d let the maid do it instead.

"Phi Pai, are you coming with me?" Sky asked him.

And that made the big man pause before shaking his head.

"I want to go. But you and dad haven't been together for a long time. This time, I will not get in between you two."

"You act like you're an outsider." Sky said with a laugh.

Every time he went home, his father always asked for Phi Pai first. 

"Well, we’ll be together more soon."

Sky didn't understand what his lover meant and gave him a suspicious look, to which the other party just smiled and replied that it was nothing.

Sky visited his father, and a week later he was busy with teaching preparations and the upcoming exam season. Everything was fine until Friday.

[...today I am going to the race. Sky, want to follow me?...]

Sky receives a text message, the likes of which he hasn’t seen in a long time.

"You are old now, Phi Pai. If the bike falls down, you won't recover as easily as when you were young."

As soon as he saw the text, Sky muttered to himself in concern.  In these years, Phi Pai had gone to the racetrack countless times, and stopped a year ago. Not because of boredom, but because his bike crashed. 

It wasn’t a bad crash, but Prapai found out that in his thirties his body didn’t recover as quickly as when he was in a worse crash back in his twenties. Prapai then slowed down and swapped to riding on Pakin’s legal race track instead.

So, what is this today? Sky sighed with concern. 

RRRRrrrrrrrr.

Just then the phone rang, and it was discovered that the caller was... Rain.

"Hello."

[Hey you, are you teaching?]

"If I'm teaching, would I answer your call?" He countered and heard the loud laughter of his best friend.

[Uh, did you record a clip of Phi Phayu guest lecturing? I want to see it.]

Sky sighed at him because, in the end, with Rain it was always about the same thing...Phi Phayu.

Sky just asked Phi Phayu to help him as a special teacher twice, and the response was so good that the teachers who still know Phayu wanted him to do it again in their classes next year. Regarding his best friend, Rain was very excited because now he could call his boyfriend a professor.

Is he still obsessed with cosplay these days?

"Why would I take a picture?"

[It's like... to give a presentation to the faculty, or the big wigs at the university or something like that.]

And he responded to the hope of a simple friend. "No, I didn't take a picture."

Sky listened to his friend's mournful cry and glanced at the clock. "This is all you called for, right? I have to go now."

[Hey, no, I have one more thing, I almost forgot.]

Always with Rain, the second thing he asks is the main point of the call, but asking about his husband's clip is the first priority in Rain's brain.

[Are you going to the racetrack this evening? Phi Phayu is going, I heard that Phi Graph will also come.]

"In summary, Phi Pai is showing up to the competition because his friend is going, right?" Sky came to that conclusion then. "I don't know yet, maybe I won't go; I am lazy too."

[Hoy? No, we haven't been there for a long time. Let's meet, Phi Graph said he wanted to see us.]

"Then why didn't he call me himself? If you called me, it means you met him already."

Professor Naphon held back because he hadn't heard his friend ranting for so long that he couldn't help teasing him. Although his heart said yes since Phi Pai sent him the text inviting him. Then there's Rain, and there's Phi Graph whom he doesn't see often because Graph's too busy raising kids, and he doesn't want to miss it.

It's like a reunion too.

[He's busy, please go. You're my friend, aren't you?]

"And you can't go alone? You didn’t lose your Event Control Card already?"

Now that both he and Rain are so familiar with Phi Pakin, who dares to blame him? Even if Rain walks around and gives away lollipops throughout the event, Phi Pakin doesn't mind.

[Speaking and thinking about it, let's run away from the guards again.]

That's it, Rain just keeps on thinking.

He knew that his friend's projects turned out to be good and interesting, but would anyone know that behind all the cool ideas comes this kind of nonsense?

"I'm turning thirty."

[So, a thirty-year-old man can be a kid. So, you are coming? See you at the fair, bye, I'm off to work.]

The bastard Rain managed to tie his hands up and punch him as he did before, which Sky laughed at.

"Fine, let's meet." He told his friend's phone that had already cut off the call. He hasn't seen Phi Pai race for a long time, either.

Sky had to think of how to make sure Prapai didn’t accept any bets easily without prohibiting his fun…

Meanwhile, as soon as the call hung up, Rain confidently called to report his boyfriend's friend's boyfriend's position.

"He will come, Phi Pai."

[Make sure, last time you said this-]

[TN: Prapai is referring to a surprise birthday party he had Rain lure Sky to. Rain accomplished this by telling Sky that he caught Prapai cheating on him.]

"Phi Pai, don't talk about when I was a kid. It's been years since then. This time, I'm well-prepared." Rain confidently said that there would be no suspicion that his friend would catch on.

And that made Prapai say thank you and hang up. 

That's it, everything is ready.

...

"Hello Phi Kang." 

"Hey, long time no see!"

Sky followed the location his boyfriend sent him, and as soon as he saw a group of construction workers working on the road, he parked his car. He walked past the workers who had shielded the barricade into the second barricade, where bodyguards in black suits were patrolling.

Phi Kang turned to greet him with a happy expression.

"I heard that you are no longer in charge of the competition."

"Good news, now I'm Khun Pakin's head bodyguard! But this event is special." Phi Kang replied with a weird smile.

"Because there are a lot of big people coming." Sky concluded himself. "It's like that, anyway, let's go in first."

Sky obeyed easily but before walking past, Phi Kang called out first.

"Right now, the setup is not yet complete, so there aren’t many people around."

He accepted, despite his doubts.

The young man had been Rain's friend since the beginning of all of this, so he knew that from the time the first and second blockades are set up, everything else happened very quickly. But that's because there is a lot of staff, and dozens of Phi Phayu's mechanics come. There are many other slide cars with them too, and usually the rumbling of engines being tested is very loud.

But today...it's really quiet.

The venue is a private road that looks familiar. Three slide cars are already parked in a line, but there is no sign of the familiar mechanic team.

Plus, the whole road is completely dark.

There weren’t any of the lights that were usually set up by now. Even though it felt unusual, Sky had been coming to these events for years. Anything could cause a delay like this. It wasn’t too unusual.

Sky then stepped to stand in the middle of the road and noticed a sign.

It was a cute little lighted sign hanging from the starting light for the race that read…

He walked over and looked suspiciously. Who will be surprised today?

It was then that Sky jumped, his heart pounding as dozens of spotlights used for the games flickered on in unison, shining straight at him until he had to cover his eyes. Questions ran wildly in his mind-

What the hell is going on!

He tried to squint at the light, but the lights in his eyes dimmed by themselves, and now.

Tung!

Damn it, who's trying to make fun of me?!

Sky was startled again when a tense sound came from behind, turning to see that it was the sound of a sliding car door slowly rising up, revealing several big bikes.

Tung!

Damn it, I'm about to have a heart attack.

Before the door of the first sliding car was fully opened, the car on the right hand side opened, until he had to turn around to look at it. Everything was so quiet.

Tung!

But by the time the third slider opened the door, Sky had stopped flinching. A pair of beautiful eyes stared at him, as if he already knew that Sky had guessed what was going to happen.

Yes, he probably had already guessed that the third sliding car door had to open, but he didn't think there would be someone waiting in there. 

To begin with, he first saw the toe of the shoe. It was a man's dark motorcycle boot. Then he saw the dark jeans that looked more familiar, and the two legs stepped closer towards the still-sliding door. Sky saw a more familiar motorcycle jacket like the old one that...Phi Pai used to wear.

‘Hasn’t Phi Pai thrown it already?’ Sky thought, shocked.

"Hey, Phi Pai, what are you playing at?"

He already knew that it was his lover, Sky wanted to cry and ask in a fierce voice.

As the big man didn't say anything but walked down from the slide, came toward him...

Fip!

Phi Pai knelt down. 

"!!!"

Before anyone could say anything, Phi Pai could pull the ring box open in front of him. Sky was so shocked that he couldn't help it, his heart pounding, at that moment he knew what was about to happen.

"Sky."

Phi Pai called his name and said it with a happy smile.

(In English) "I love you not only for what you are but for what I am when I am with you."

Duk Dak. Duk Dak. Duk Dak.

He remembered that poem precisely, remembered not only the first two verses they would quote to say they loved each other. He remembered every letter, every sentence, and remembered it so accurately that Phi Pai teased and teased that he would repeat it to him again on the day they got married. 

So, Sky knew what Phi Pai was going to say before Phi Pai opened the ring box in front of him.

The person who raised his head gave him a smile, then asked in a firm tone.

"Marry me?"

• Romantic love is a very foreign concept to him. As someone who doesn’t feel a lot of emotions other than fear and confusion, anything that makes him happy is something he so desperately wants to keep around. So meeting you was like a breath of relief

• It’s very hard for him to understand what he’s feeling, the constant mood swings don’t help either. One minute he’s spiraling downward, but when he thinks of you, he’s suddenly overwhelmed with this warm comforting feeling. For a while he’s convinced you must’ve put a spell on him, before you finally visit his house

• Champ, his baby boy, immediately takes a liking to you, his strong tail hitting against and knocking things over around him as he approaches you to give you sloppy kisses. Since Champ is sort of like a emotional support dog, Dude trust his judgement which ultimately leads him to be more comfortable around you

• It takes a longgggg time before Dude even thinks about getting into a relationship with you. He’s never felt this way about someone and it terrifies him. Being anti social and all makes him very skittish, so you’ll have to ease him into such a intimate relationship

• As the relationship progresses, you really start to see why no one ever talks to him. He’s weird. Like, he has a concerningly large dead animal collect, even feeding them to Champ if his food gets too low and Dude is too paranoid to leave the house. Dude also has a large weapons collection with some military grade stuff. Not to mention his expansive knowledge of the human body after death and the various ways to skin various animals (and humans, but he hasn’t told you that yet)

• Since this whole relationship thing is new to Dude, he has no idea what to do or how to do it. He never plans dates, doesn’t give you any big gifts, and hardly ever says “I love you”. Although he does love to have you around and hold you when he’s comfortable enough with it.

• The amount of illness this guy has baffles you. It’s like he’s nothing but a sick mind and weak mindset. Good luck trying to give him any sort of medication, he will run away and lock himself in the bathroom with Champ. Fully believes that any sort of pill will make ‘corrupt’ him, especially if it’s from a pharmacy.

• Having to deal with this guy during any sort of episode is EXHAUSTING. Yes you love him, but everyone has their limits. His schizophrenic episodes are the worst of them. They usually force him into a paranoid and clouded state, his mood becoming fragile and his actions more aggressive. Usually during these episodes he believes that there are people out to hurt him, to kill him, so he has to kill them first. It’s a doozy and a half trying to stabilize Dude, desperately trying to tell him he’s safe in a his home and getting Champ to sit with him.

• It’s very hard to get Dude outside of his house. His paranoia always gets the best of him and drives him right back inside the familiarity of his run down walls. Wanna go for a walk around the city to bond with him more? Good luck with that. Wanna go grocery shopping with him because he’s been living off the same can of peas for 3 days now? He’d rather starve. Wanna go shopping for his wardrobe? He has enough clothes. Although you could probably lure him out with the promise of bone hunting with him in the local forest area.

• There aren’t many dates with Dude. The entire relationship is mainly just you two relaxing on his couch watching tv. Of course y’all still do ‘fun’ things like playing board games and helping him clean up around his house, but it’s mostly just sitting in peace with him. It may not seem like a lot to you, but to him it’s the most calm and relaxed he’s been in years

• Dude doesn’t give many gifts, but he likes to give you little wooden figures he’s made. Living alone for years and having nothing but free time really gives you the ability to learn a new skill. He took up widdling and wood carving as a hobby to make hard chew toys for Champ since those rubber bones never lasted and the real bones were too expensive. Dude will give you little shiny rocks he found around the house too. He’s kinda like a crow, shiny attractive

• Trying to cuddle or hug Dude is a task. Due to his childhood, he thinks anytime someone is going to touch him it’s gonna hurt. You’re gonna have to ask him, and then slowly reach out for him. Any sudden movements will make him nervous

• Despite all these bad traits, he’s rather clingy and possessive of you. Sure he doesn’t want you to touch him a lot, but he still wants you around. Just having you in his house is like having his own personal angel. Anytime you want to leave he gets incredibly sad and starts to make up excuses of why you can’t leave. “The evil ones, they’ll hurt you if you step foot out there! Stay here with me, where it’s safe.“

PERSONALITY

Diaval is a reserved and introverted individual, but also very careful and a kind person by nature.

With subjects that arouse his curiosity or interest, he can prove to be a talkative person and easy to talk to.

Diaval also has a great ability to command people in diverse situations (as a strategist) and is also a good diplomat. Due to being great observer, he can easily create useful strategies for difficult situations. However, upon realizing that the situation is out of control, Diaval may act more desperate, nervous AND TOTALLY RESTLESS, especially in cases where he knows from the beginning that everything will go wrong, which makes him a bit of a chatterbox until the situation is resolved.

Despite being a kind person, he also acts sarcastic as hell in situations where he wants to irritate someone or when he is irritated, and can also reveal a somewhat sadistic side, mocking and enjoying the pain of someone he doesn't like.

Overall, Diaval takes on a more parental/caregiving attitude towards those he cares about(even with humans, with whom he has more difficulty befriending with), being a big worrier if something dangerous happens.

some information about Yumi's brothers and the Yozakura family

the Yozakura family.

The family has been known since the Edo era as a family of renowned assassins and ninjas. Over the centuries, the family has modernized but still maintains certain traditions. They now work as spies, preventing sects from dominating the world and committing various other types of crimes.

They are the most influential family in the Japanese underworld (or perhaps the world) and are ranked first in the category of best spy family, among other categories.

The family is currently in its 10th generation and consists of 7 members.

Some of the main characteristics of the family are their dark hair and black eyes. Rumor has it that looking into the eyes of a Yozakura is the same as looking death in the face.

Another striking characteristic is Soumeine, a unique protein found in the family's blood.

This Soumeine can make normal humans become superhumans, and so the leader must be protected at all costs, as she contains the largest amount of Someminine

The order from oldest to youngest are, Ren, Keiko, Aiko, Yuki, Akemi, Seiji and Yumi

according to the family rules (which were written in the Yozakura archive) Yumi is the current matriarch

I will soon make a new POST about the Yozakura family, as many things have been changed since the initial version

The family's former matriarch was killed when the children were young, and their father was presumed dead but is only missing.

Despite their "ordinary" appearance, the Yozakura family is a family with abilities far beyond those of any ordinary human.

Rumor has it that the first leader of the family made a kind of deal with the devil so that she and her children could protect themselves.

The strange abilities have continued to this day. Each child is born with a unique and completely superhuman ability, but in each generation a girl will be born without abilities.

This child without abilities is the one who will be the next head of the family, as she is the one who will continue the Yozakura lineage.

Yumi is the child without abilities of this generation and the current head of the family, at 17 years old. The mission of the rest of the family is to protect the leader at any cost.

Yumi, even without supernatural abilities, is still a force to be reckoned with, knowing 5 types of martial arts, in addition to having great knowledge of poisons and the use of various types of weapons.

Unfortunately, because she was the next boss, she didn't have a normal life, and unfortunately she didn't have many friends, and she couldn't trust people other than her brothers, because murders and kidnappings are common.

Since her blood could be used to artificially create superhumans.

The few friends she had were also connected to espionage or were online friends. The last time she made friends who weren't connected to this work was the first and last time, because they ended up dead and to this day Yumi blames herself for this, since her first friend and his brother ended up dying just for getting close to her (when she arrived at Twisted Wonderland and saw two people identical to her friend and his younger brother, she almost had a breakdown).

A little about her personality

Yumi is a very calm person and doesn't usually get involved in conflicts, but when she does, it's better to run or pray, because she shows no mercy.

Because she was raised in a family that was anything but normal, she isn't afraid of many things, and because of that, it's hard to scare her.

So many years of suffering assassination attempts have given her nerves of steel. So she doesn't usually show much emotion when she goes through a dangerous situation.

She's so silent that she could be right next to you and you wouldn't notice. She's already scared the first-year class a lot because of this. Marina once joked that they should put a bell on her, like the ones they have on cats' collars, so they know when she's around.

She is quite quiet with strangers, or people she is not very close to, but despite being somewhat introverted she has a good level of social battery.

But with people she is already used to, her personality transforms into a cheerful and agitated girl who is a little sarcastic and ends up swearing a lot, or cursing and making some morbid jokes.

She talks a lot, especially about her hobbies, and is a little agent of chaos. She likes to create her own devices, she ended up creating a kind of hologram communication device for the entire first-year class, now they all have a new device, never seen before and other people are a little jealous.

The device is round and looks like a small makeup case with a mirror for Yumi and the twins, while for the boys it looks like a pocket watch.

The devices were made to be worn on a special belt with other things that Yumi gave as gifts. Each device was customized to match the dorm uniform and the owner's personality.

When she was a child she dislocated her right arm after falling from a tree, she started trying to learn to use her left arm to do things, and ended up being able to do various activities with both hands

Goliath is an old lab experiment that ended up being saved by the family, and since then he has been part of the Yozakura family. No one knows how old he is, since he has been in the family for years.

When asked how she knew this information, she didn't answer directly, she just said that they were also known in her dimension but that their stories were different from those that Night Raven knew, and she refuses to talk about it, no matter how much they insisted that she talk about it.

Even though she doesn't have magic, she ended up being great at history and potions. She also ends up doing well in physical education, but most of the time during Professor Vergas' classes she finds a way to hide.

Her characteristic colors are white, pink, red, black and gold.

She has a pet snake that she calls Jade.

The Havik sisters kind of adopted her, so they are always together.

After several events, the first-year class was mistaken for a gang. Yumi is the leader, the twins are her assistants, Ace and Deuce are her right and left arms. Jack and Sebek are the security guards. Epel seems to be the secretary and Ortho is the group's hacker.

To earn more money, she opened a kind of fight club in Ramshackle's basement. Almost all the dorms show up either to watch or fight, Leona usually shows up and stays in the VIP area watching everything. (And mainly because most of the people who enter are students from Savanaclaw)

Speaking of Ramshackle, the dorm is completely chaotic and it's not because of the ghosts that the dorm seems to be alive, besides the fact that the room and strange objects appear out of nowhere, there was one time when Yumi found her computer, she doesn't know how it got there but she doesn't complain.

She usually hacks into the school's system sometimes to bribe the principal, he's always crying because Yumi steals his money and can't even say anything, the last time she tried to complain, Yumi showed her evidence that Crowley was stealing money that the Al-Asim family donated to the school, and she said she would send it to the newspapers and ruin his reputation, he never complained again.

She uses the money she bribed from Crowley, and also from the fight club, to restore her dorm.

The first years are always having sleepovers, and at these parties they have discovered a bunch of secret rooms and underground passages that connect Ramshackle to the rest of the school.

Other information

•She doesn't fully understand some feelings. Yozakuras normally only know five feelings: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Hate and Love. Other feelings are confusing to them.

• The matriarch is the one who understands the feelings of others the most, but does not fully understand them like a normal human being.

• Yumi doesn't see any problem in killing or getting rid of something that bothers her. Despite being the most "human" of her siblings, Yumi also has great aggression and a huge hunting instinct.

• Regarding the hunting instinct, Yozakuras were created to kill and annihilate enemies. Not even Yumi is free from this factor in her DNA.

• Despite being a bit cruel, if you're not part of the family and you're not someone Yumi cares about, she doesn't even bother to remember your name.

• Yozakuras were created for battles, and because of that, they have an enormous thirst for blood, and they constantly get into fights to reduce this thirst.

•If they spend too much time without being able to release this thirst for blood and adrenaline, they become uncontrollable.

Okay this is going to be a long ramble because I have a lot to say. This was another of my very early twst oc ideas that I never did anything with at first. I think around a year ago, I saw that an artist that I admire draw their version of the white queen in twst and I had to try to make a character from the same inspiration. The reason that I'm still not happy with his name is just that I put a lot of thought and meaning / symbolism into my characters' names. I wanted his initials to be "V" and "C" because of the vorpal sword and because of Lewis Carroll. This was the best combination that I've come up with so far, but I'll almost definitely change it if I think of something better. The vorpal sword is also the inspiration behind Victor enjoying collecting knives, and the scene in the 2010 movie where the white queen makes a potion to return Alice to normal size is the inspiration behind the random potion making and testing. Except Victor has no method behind the madness. He just throws whatever he has into a caldron and so be whatever happens. He lost his right arm in an accident when he was very little and has a prosthetic arm that looks like blue and white porcelain (I'm going to add an image of what I mean at the end). Victor is also albino. I have a hair style that I think suits him, but I have no idea what it's called. I'll put this first in the images, and I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what it's called. I'm trying to learn about black hair and hairstyles so I can properly draw some of my characters, but I'm still far from knowledgeable. As far as clothing ideas go, I really want to lean in to the impractical doll clothes vibe with his dorm leader outfit, there's also a little bit of a carnival vibe but Idk how to properly express what I mean. I found an image of doll shoes on Pinterest while looking for inspiration and I love them so much and I'm definitely making the part of his outfit. The heel of the shoe is an hourglass and I'm so obsessed with that design. Well I though that I'd have more time to talk, but I don't so I'm cutting myself off here.

Newest Kleos Rabbit Hole

So, I started stranger things blah blah Kleos I’ll have another CJ post soon because. I might make the re-imagining 3 years after the first arc and that changes so much and I think it’s really interesting and it means I get to give Percy a break. But anyway, we’re talking about the Kleos new background character obsession. The Bryce Lawrence of my Stranger things,

Pure fuel guy. He is in the first part of season 2 of Stranger things, he has no name, nothing to him except he’s iconic and his hold on me rivals Bryce or Lucinus Junius Brutus in how much I think they’re silly. So what is Kleos here to talk about? Headcanonns. I am on the second episode of season four and like just had a breakdown. I have created this man’s life story.

Meet Derek Laurens Galanis. He is a sophomore or a junior, in that 16-17 age range. He does go to Hawkins Highschool and he lives in the trailer park with his mom and their dog. His dad isn’t really around right now but Derek doesn’t really mind too much

Derek has an older sister who goes to UC Berkeley and he wants to go to Berkeley too. He hopes to maybe get a wrestling scholarship and wants to either do like a Arts and Humanities (focusing on Mediterranean stuff- the Ancient Greek and Roman studies one on their website I’m doing my best) thing, a film and media degree, or like. Political sciences if he can’t figure it out

Derek does wrestling and plays on the basketball team during the off season. He likes wrestling a lot actually and wishes he could do it independently but doesn’t really want or know how to join a team

Derek really likes Greece. During elementary school when they were learning about Ancient Greece and the fact he was Greek came up everyone thought he was like the shit during 3rd grade and that never really left.

Does the school musicals. Can my man sing? Oh no Derek obviously can’t but he really likes doing tech work and stage management. But he has to keep it kinda on the down low with his teams

He probably also almost got sucked into Hellfire club before his sister could swoop him up (his freshman year was her senior year). Dawg did used to play DnD before he got really busy with extracurriculars. Probably played as like, one of the.. halflings(?) I don’t know stuff about DnD. He probably has shit luck though and I think that’s endearing

Derek teeters on the fine lines between the ‘freaks’ and ‘cool kids’ of this Highschool. He is on the basketball and wrestling team and is an athlete who had well known friends and a well liked sister to back him up, he gets invited to things like Tina’s Halloween party. On the flip side he does theatre, likes history, and played DnD at one point. He manages to stay in the popular circles but that puts a small strain on his relationship with the drama student body.

Brother also likes making food. Good cooking for the soul and all that stuff. Probably tried to cook something at Tina’s but failed miserably. Never forgets the punch tho/j (that’s a joke I promise)

Derek sees everything like going wild around him from an outside perspective of not knowing anything and wants it to stay that way. The wise one is the naive one

His favorite Greek like myth collection is all the ones where Heracles is just there. That’s probably why he’s dressed up as Dionysus/generic stereotypical media portrayal of Ancient Greek guy

My man, really wants a tarantula as a pet. Thinks it’d be so cool but he barely got his mom to let him name their dog like. Agamemnon or something so he’s already on thin ice

Really bad at science and math. Lil guy just does not think in numbers or absolutes. he’s also really loose on his like remembering historical dates.

Cat Nutrition - An Off-Topic Post

I've worked in the pet food industry for the last 7 years and it always shocks me how little people know about the nutritional needs for their cats/ pets in general. A lot of people just follow what their parents did or whatever the vet or pet store recommends (often promoting their own brands). Here's a big blurb of everything you should know about feeding your fur beans. For those short on time here's the spark notes version: Kibble is really bad for cats and was really only made for human convenience and profit- it dehydrates them which is one of the main causes for kidney disease which affects 1 in 3 cats and is ridiculously high carb - 3-5x more than what they need. Even fancy feast or the lowest quality wet/canned food is better than the highest quality dry/kibble. While Raw can have it's downsides if fed improperly, there's lots of balanced brands that can make it easy and is really the best for them, it's what their bodies are made to eat! Picky cats: Add warm water to their food. Play with them before meal times. Find 4-5 different foods they like and rotate so they don't get bored. Do your own research! Find out what works best for you, don't blindly follow what vets tell you and what friends or family have been doing. Here's everything to know about Cat and their role in the Pet Food Industry:

1. Cat are desert animals! This means that they are made to be getting 80-90% of their moisture from their food! Most cats will only drink water from a bowl when they are severely dehydrated. This is why feeding wet food (canned) or raw is so much more important. 2. Kibble is a new invention for Human Convenience! Kibble has only been around for 67 years! The first kibble was invented in 1956. Back in the 40s during WWII there were sanctions put on the use of cans and metals, essentially removing the option of canned pet foods. This pushed companies to find an alternative, working with by products (left overs) from cereal companies they created a high-profit cheap food they could sell to customers that had a better shelf life. -How is Kibble made? Almost all kibble goes through a process called extrusion where the initial ingredients, meats, by-products and additives are processed under intense heat and pressure 4-5 times before they're cut to shape and sprayed with flavors and oils. This process removes nutrients, vitamins and pretty much everything from the original ingredients. Try cooking a high grade steak at max output on your oven 4-5 times and see if anything is really worth eating at that point. -Veterinary Diets In the late 60s, a generation after the invention of kibble, there became an increase in kidney and liver failures, prompting a French vet to create his own trademarked food - Royal Canin with Hill's Science Diet being created later in the US. (Fun fact, Hill's has actually trademarked the term "prescription diet" so that no other pet food brand is allowed to use it in their packaging.) 3. Cats vs. Dogs - What's the difference? While dogs are much more flexible in what they can eat, Cats are obligate carnivores. A Carnivore (Dogs) does well on meat based diets, while Obligate Carnivores (Cats) need a meat based diet in order to survive. Broken down in food- dogs ideally need 30% protein, 63% fat and 7% carb from their food cats need 53% protein, 35% fat and 12%. 4. Why does this matter and what does it mean for their food? Dry foods are primarily carbohydrates. 35-50% on average. This is 3-5x more than a cat needs in addition to the lack of protein, which is what keeps a cat functioning. Grains - or carbs can be extremely detrimental to a cats body: Carbohydrates turn into sugar in the body, meaning the more carbs a cat consumes, the more sugar, which increases their chances of getting diabetes. In the wild, most cats choose to avoid eating the intestines of their prey, where most of the grains and fibre are kept, indicating cats also use very little to no fibre in their diets. On top of that, the lack of moisture in kibble actually dehydrates cats, one of the primary reasons for kidney problems down the line, affecting 1 in 3 cats. 5. What do I feed my Cat? Feed wet or raw! At the end of the day, if your cat only eats fancy feast or whiskas, or if that's the only wet(canned) food you can afford, it's a huge step forward for their diets. These brands are going to be better than any of the highest quality dry foods you can find because it means they're getting the moisture and protein they need without the extra carb and salt content. Raw foods have come a long way. They aren't all the frozen patties or having to home cook the meal with all these added supplements. There's lots of complete brands out there in different formats that make it easy for everyone. Freeze-dried is a form of raw that you rehydrate and feed. Air-dried (most expensive) is fed like kibble, and is kind of a jerky texture. If you're on raw, or with any food, make sure to wash your hands with soap before and after feeding and I recommend getting your cat dewormed twice a year for precautionary actions. -Treats the common ones like greenies, tempations are all kibble like treats, filled with carbs and salt, that make them irresistible but also horrible for them. Single 1 ingredient treats are the best out there. Even a scrab of unseasoned chicken from dinner or salmon sashimi from a sushi night is a great alternative.

6. Reading the Label Once you get into canned foods, there's hundreds of options. Here's a few things that help me decide what's worth it and what to avoid. Starting from worst to best with the wording: "Flavor" ie - "Beef flavor Dog food" it doesn't even need a certain percentage of beef, as long as it's technically detected in the food. "With" ie - "Dinner with beef" - beef only has to be minimum 3% of the food. 25% rule - If the food has 25% or more of the main protein, it can be labelled as "Beef entree" or "lamb Dinner". If there's more than 1, they can be labelled together but must add up to 25% and be labelled in the order of their percentage. - ie "Lamb & Lamb Liver Entree" 95% rule - At least 95% of the food must be of the listed protein. "Chicken dog food" Often - those with a 95% label will proudly show it, while the others you'll have to read to notice. 7. Kitten vs. Adult vs. Senior food There's really only 4 categories a food can be put into - Gestation/Lactation (for Mama cats) Growth Maintenance All Life Stages "Senior food" does not have a category as there is no clear definition on a change of nutritional needs as a cat ages. While "Growth" is typically attributed to kittens, most wet foods will have kitten portioning as they are all life stages. The biggest difference is that kitten food is fattier and has some added nutrients needed for growth. These can also be found in any other canned food with the appropriate portioning. 8. Urinary Food There's a lot of misconceptions about this. Brands will advertise Urinary dry food or the vet line - Kidney food. But if it's dry, as we now know, it dehydrates them, furthering the damage to the kidneys, making it extremely counter intuitive. Any wet food will be better than a dry "urinary" food to help treat this issue, ideally a low phosphorous brand. - Weruva is the most popular and has a low phosphorous line as well. 9. Fish Fish is not a naturally occurring food for cats! Cats only started eating fish when fishing became prominent in human civilizations. Fish is the most common occurring allergy in cats! - some symptoms are constant itchiness, rashes, immediately throwing up, or butt dragging after a poop. I personally recommend avoiding fish in cat foods, especially Tuna, if it's bad for us in large quantities due to the toxic build up of chemicals and things like mercury, imagine what it does to them. 10. Pickiness and Meal Time Cats are notoriously picky or fussy or spoiled. This is because they have 4 stages of food preference that need to be just right. 1 - smell 2 - taste 3 - texture / consistency 4 - how it sits in their stomach

It's hard to find exactly what they want and unfortunately there's no shortcut. It's really just trial and error.

Hot tips: -Add warm water to their food - it's gross but cats like their food at prey body temperature, if it's cold to the touch for us, it's likely not that appealing for them either.

-Just like dogs, keeping a routine is incredibly important for cats. they're actually a lot more meticulous about routine than dogs are and will let you know exactly when breakfast and dinner time is. Leaving the food out makes it less appealing for them. If they don't eat breakfast, take the food away and they have to wait for dinner. Over time they'll eat until they're done during meal time.

-Play with them before food! Cats are hunters, their goal for survival is catch, kill, eat, sleep etc. Play with them near meal time, get them real worked up until they're exhausted, then put down food, they'll be much more likely to eat now that they're gotten all the hunting out of the way.

-I recommend having at least 4 or 5 different flavors or brands that your cat likes, to rotate through so they don't get bored and you don't end up at square 1 when they decide that one they like isn't good enough anymore.

Keep in mind: Beef, Lamb & Duck are often high in fat and should be used as a once in a while protein. Chicken & Turkey are the best proteins. Even if your cat doesn't like chicken from one brand, they could go nuts for one from a different brand or even the same brand with a different texture. Try them out and see, don't eliminate a whole protein so easily because of a few that get turned down.

I think that's a wrap. Food really makes a world of a difference for these guys, their whole world revolves around it and getting it right can mean years of a difference. - For reference, the average life expectancy for indoor cats is 15-20 years old! For the devils' advocates - yes there are cats that have lived long lives on the worst quality dry foods, but they're really the exceptions, same as people. There's definitely people who have lived to their 90s or older surviving off McDonalds or the equivalent, but that's not really the kind of quality of life or food you want to be giving your pet who is entirely dependent on your choices at the pet store. If you stuck around to the end, I appreciate you, and I'm glad there are other people out there who care just as much about their furry friends as I do. I'm more than willing to discuss any questions, even it it's not directly about their nutrition! Okay. So. This exists mainly in just a lot of DM chats between me and two of my besties. I have the smut fic that just got published, and then two fics half-written, and a third planned.

But the jist of it is:

Jim is a coyote shifter. Their family was slaughtered when they were very young, and Nana told them their entire life they were a wolf. Jim, grade A dumbass who really can't tell their own size when they're shifted and probably never really looked in mirrors or saw a photo, believed her.

Fast forward to their mid-late 20s, and they have been travelling on their own, basically homeless, for a while as they try and find the siete gallos - living mainly as a coyote.

They stumble across Ed and Stede's wolf pack. Through a fun series of events (that will happen in a fic hopefully someday) Ed notices them, and offers them food. And then slowly Ed and Stede and the pack kind of... lure Jim in with kind words and food and an offer of a job and help them find an apartment lmao. Like slowly bringing in a stray dog XD (this is. a theme. in several of my AUs)

There are also conversations that are essentially like - Ed: hey new coyote friend!! Jim: fuck you I'm a wolf??? Ed and the entire pack: 🤨 do you. Do you not know you're a coyote. You're fucking tiny. You're so small. Time to make an educational slideshow.

Jim ends up working in Oluwande's carpentry shop. It's a good fit. Olu is married to Frenchie in this one, but quickly becomes Jim's Best Friend Forever.

Ed - a goth trans lady - is in a relationship with CJ when Jim meets her. She breaks up with him because he's, y'know, still a dick.

Jim offers for Ed to move in with them when she breaks up with CJ and doesn't have anywhere to go. Ed accepts. However, Jim has a tiny one-bedroom apartment - and rather than like, y'know, getting a second bed, they just sleep in Jim's bed together. For months.

Eventually Jim realizes Ed is deeply in love with them, and they are with her, and they get together.

Stede in this one is ace/aro and Ed's queerplatonic life partner, and also offered Ed to move into the big pack house he owns, but, y'know, Ed moved in with Jim and slept in their bed instead :3

Other fun things:

Lucius as the laziest shifter, Jim thinks he's a human for like, six months, because he hates shifting and rarely ever does it

Jim and Ivan being besties who spar (obviously)

Pack puppy piles, at least once or twice a month they all hang out at Stede's house and sleep in a pile on the floor in their shifted wolf and coyote forms

There's a REALLY sad fic in the making where Jim gets hit by a car in their shifter form :3 because boy howdy i've been missing writing whump

But really mainly it's just Jim living their best scrungly little coyote life and finding a tall goth girlfriend and an extended family/pack along the way

There is a potential for Doug to become Stede's partner (Stede might be demi-romantic, I haven't super decided). He is The Token Human.

Anyway that's it!!! Or like, that's the basics. I adore shifter au's, and werewolf au's, and really hope that someday I get a few more less smut-focused (and also a few more smut-focused) fics from it out into the world :3

is sunflower seed oil in wet food okay for cats.. I notice people recommend weruva a lot and all of their wet foods have it in the ingredients

Sunflower seed oil is fine! I havent heard of Weruva before but after doing a little research on the website, I probably wouldn't offer it to my pets as a full time meal.

All of their diets are grain free, which is one huge issue for me. There is a link between grain free diets and a heart issue called DCM - I've made a few posts on it before. Its mostly a concern in dogs, but I am always a bit wary of it in cats too.

The thing that really turned me off on their website was that they are using human grade cuts for every single meal. Muscle meat is not the best part of the animal, especially when considering diets for obligate carnivores. Organ meats are super high in vitamins and other nutrients that make it easier to have a balanced diet. Muscle meat, such as chicken breast, is higher in protein and fat but lower in everything else.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to trust in companies that have their whole basis on what ISN'T in their product. I want to know what is. I want to see proper research done with veterinary nutritionists to establish a safe, healthy diet.

I guess I got off track a bit. Sunflower seed oil is fine. I would consider a different brand though.
