i love lane she is my baby so. instead in my mind lane escapes stars hollow to live in nyc on her own at nineteen and the city is huge and intimidating and she has to share an apartment with like three guys but its okay because she has her own room and there's this shelf right in the middle of her wall and she's got all of her CDs and records spilling out right there in the open and she's got posters of nico and bjorke and bowie and fiona apple scattered around her walls and she works in like a music shop during the day and bartends at night and rory comes to stay with her sometimes and they spend hours sitting in parks and talking even when its really cold and rory doesn't say anything when lane tenses up sometimes and lane doesn't say anything when rory looks out beyond her like she's waiting for someone. and then she becomes the drummer in a punk band and they get to play in CBGB and then they're invited to go on tour and they're playing in venues all across the country and lane's laughing again and she's talking to people and she's kissing girls. and then one night she's playing out in California and out in the crowd she spots someone familiar and he's smiling at her and she's smiling back and after he asks her if she'd like a drink and she says yes. and maybe it'll go somewhere maybe it won't but there's hope in the air and it's all going to be okay because she's got purple in her hair and she can talk as loudly as she wants.

god… how am i supposed to rank these eras i love them ALL!! ok ok, i’ll do it… just know whatever place these eras go, my heart will be broken because i wanna give them all first place. alright, imma make my list now, remember this is my opinion (and it’s always subject to change cause i love all his eras so much):

at number ten: tffl mick

- i don’t really think about baby crue a lot. when i go to my secret mick pinterest board… as much as it pains me to say, i don’t go to my “tffl mick” section.

- it’s nothing against tffl mick it’s just… i have my favourites and that era i guess isn’t one of them. maybe if i actually worked on my coffee shop au it would start up.

- i think it’s just cause there isn’t much photos from that era as well. there’s only 200 photos of that era in my pinterest board compared to the 300-600 photos i have of the other eras. we were starved of tffl content tbh.

at number nine: generation swine - new tattoo era mick (aka depressed middle aged man, or straight haired mick)

- not loving the fact that he actually was pretty depressed in this era. no lie, he was serving cunt in this era. without the hairspray… he looked very soft and cute.

- exhibited a lot of tired dad energy. he just has this really hot dilf energy about him… well actually he was at gilf status here. idk i just think it would be higher if i didn’t know how depressed he was in this era. makes me feel bad for thirsting after him.

at number eight: divorced old man era (aka ‘94 era, or wet sad pathetic man era)

- i’d let that man give me rug burn… WOAH WHO THE FUCK JUSF SAID THAT???!!!!

- sure he was going through a hefty divorce but… he was kinda serving depressed, holing himself up in his house CUNT!!

- also i love the berets he’d wear late ‘89-97 they looked really good on him and i wish i could steal them

at number seven: gingerbread mars (aka ginger mick)

- i know i know, with the way i talk about him, this should be higher… trust me i wanna put it higher but… there’s other eras i love a bit more than gingerbread mars

- this photo should be illegal though… who told you to serve such SEVERE levels of cunt my guy?

- he’s so cutie patootie here though ughhh this era was so baby to me… he was in his twenties dude… makes me realize i need to hurry up and do something with my life cause this man was in bands from when he was 12. what am i doing???

at number six: satd era (aka the demon days)

- a lot of people thought he was scary when satd was released. idk how he’s just a guy. a really beautiful guy at that!

- there’s something about this era that i love. everything from his outfit, his evil glares, the makeup, his headbands… even out of all the makeup he just looked so sweet and comfy. i love hairsprayed to death mick a bit more than straight hair mick ngl. it’s just what i’m used to! not much to say here!

at number five: feelgood era (aka the “we’re so back!!”era)

- WHEW!!! this fucking era… how i love this era <333

- HIS THIGHS???? THE HEADBAND??? THE EXTRA FLUFFINESS OF HIS HAIR??? come on now!!!

- he’s at the top of his game and i absolutely love it. then again i love a good happy ending and feelgood was shaping to be just that.

- the only thing I hate about this era are those fuckass boots he’d wear on stage. they’re ugly mick put those down, they look like fucking rain boots is it raining on stage now?? sorry… moving on!

at number four: peepaw lite (aka current day mick)

- i love peepaw. he’s babygirl. he’s sweet old man. he’s every single thing in the universe.

- he looks very comfortable and happy nowadays so i guess ridding yourself of three evil bastards does wonders. i like seeing him happy, so yes, i have to put him up high on this list. that being said:

at number three: gothic peepaw

- this is the best peepaw i will not be arguing with anyone about this.

- when mick fully embraces his gothic aesthetic, he’s at his best. this is literally peak male aesthetic idgaf. i understand why he couldn’t dress like this during the stadium tour but he needs to understand i will always have a soft spot for this era. i think you guys know who i’m putting at number two.

at number two: MILF MARS!!!! (aka top era mick)

- she is everything to me. a mother, a friend, a confidant… a lover. she’s a style icon, her makeup is on point and honestly? she’s a diva 💜

- i literally wanna dress up as her for halloween. would anyone get who i’m dressed up as? probably not. would it matter? not one bit!

- idgaf if she though she looked like an old woman during this era, she looked INCREDIBLE. most of my thoughts go back to her and i hope she knows that.

AND FINALLY, AT NUMBER ONE: girls era mick (aka chubby mick, aka the love of my life)

- idgaf i love mick’s lil chubby era it’s my favourite. i literally love girls era mick with all my heart.

- mind you, the Crüe has always exaggerated micks weight during this era (largely due to fatphobia) BUT… who cares? who cares if mick had gained a bit of weight? doesn’t make him any less desirable to me, there’s just more of him to love!!

- i will latch myself onto his waist and bury my face in his chest. wanna sit on his lap so bad and just squish the hell outta his lil round face. that photo of tommy doing it only makes me wanna do it even more.

- oh, also… EHO TOLD THIS KAN TO SHOW CHEST WRF ARE TOU DOING PEEPAW WHO COUFO YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!!??!!!?!!!?!! ok anyways, all in all girls era mick is my absolute favourite era of mick. do i feel a bit bad for finding him so handsome and adorable during an era where he was doing horribly mentally and physically? absolutely. is that going to change my ranking? not in the slightest i’m sorry!!

SO, that was my ranking. all in all i have to say: this man was always beautiful and will always be beautiful, no matter what. i wanna shake some sense into peepaw, but i won’t. like i said, i wish he knew how beautiful he is and I refuse to listen to him whenever he says he’s ugly cause [LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER] he’s dead wrong!!

OKAY SO . god. where do i even begin………

basically!!!!! i’m writing a fic where kenny is. your best friend’s older brother <33333 the best friend in question being sugu!!! i still haven’t decided if they’re twins or if kenny is a couple years older…… buuuut either way i have lots n lots of thoughts abt their dynamic :33 and how the two of them treat you!!!! sugu is just…. your reliable, soft best friend, and kenny is . the way he is 😭 but anyway…..

i picture kenny as being a bitttt of a bad boy in this au?? not exactly. but like. he has a tongue piercing and moved out really early and he’s maybe a little bit twisted . cares abt suguru but can’t really show it. he’s silly and talkative but also a bit condescending…. a bit of a know it all…… i feel like he almost acts more like a father than an older brother sometimes which suguru absolutely hates 😭 there’s a lot of tension between them!!

personality wise i feel like suguru sort of . adapts to kenjaku? he’s a bit of a social chameleon. and he really doesn’t like the idea of people seeing them as similar…. so if kenny is acting more serious and pretentious, suguru acts more childish — and if kenny acts more silly then suguru takes a more responsible role . it’s like that!!! it’s weird bc i see suguru as being very sincere at heart, and kenny as being fairly insincere, but with the way they act you could get the impression that it’s the other way around. kenny doesn’t care abt how others view him, suguru very much does. but sugu has a sincerity to him that kenny kind of lacks?? ig it’s less that kenny is insincere and more that he’s just. detached. in a way.

also sidenote kinda but !!! i picture both sugu and kenny as sweater boys 😭😭 they LOVE their sweaters. i feel like kenny wears turtlenecks religiously. and sugu goes out of his way to wear more leather jackets and hoodies bc he doesn’t like when they’re wearing the same stuff LMAO…. kenny sometimes makes their outfits match just to piss him off <333

anddddd going back to the whole . brotherly rivalry stuff…… i think kenny was always a bit of a black sheep growing up . and bc of that suguru automatically became the golden child!!! sugu can be mischievous and bratty but he gets away w it bc he’s the youngest/good at hiding it…. and in front of their parents he’s always very straightlaced. it’s almost like suguru holds back just so that he won’t appear similar to his brother, which i think kenny kind of finds pathetic. there’s just soooo much to their dynamic 😭😭 they’re similar and different and just. gah. they give me a headache!!!! bc kenny is such a wildcard in the way that he acts, and suguru is so prone to changing himself depending on the situation he’s in.

but overall i just feel like kenny is pretentious and teasing…. and kinda mean . while sugu is well-behaved and calm, but a little more teasing and silly around people he’s close to….. and he’s also super kind . he’s warm!!!! and kenny is sort of cold. that’s the way i picture their dynamic. but it’s very fluid i think …. sometimes kenny acts like the oldest, sometimes the youngest LMAO

then there’s kenny who . bullies you a bit 😭 JUST A BIT . bc he likes seeing your reactions <3 he’s kind of like your typical intimidating best friend’s brother…. a little scary ……. a bit of a dick….. he looks after you in his own way but . he doesn’t coddle you the way suguru does. when you’re kids he’s someone you look up to, but also someone you’re a tinyyyyy bit afraid of . but you get a crush on him anyway . and he has a soft spot for you. and then he leaves and doesn’t return until a couple years later ………. and he hasn’t really changed. but he’s less of a bully and more of a teaser. maybe a little condescending. but he’s charming, yk? alluring.

anyway as you can see i’m getting carried away LMAOO this fic is just . fluff?? kind of??? w a lot of tension 😭 you like kenny and he . well. you just don’t know what he’s thinking . he kind of sees you as a baby bird i think,,,,,,,,, and he’s . the big bad wolf. you get the vibes …….. here r some snippets of the fic just for fun!! it’s very near and dear to my heart hehe

PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo

Game of Stones

Paranormasight is a half-horrific, half-thriller visual novel (I'll come back to this later) in which we follow several characters who find themselves involved in paranormal events caused by curse stones that are said to be able to bring dead people back to life. I really enjoyed the game as a whole, but I have to say that I found it very inconsistent in the way it unfolded.

❤ The game is very pretty. The chara-design is really well done and perfectly matches the characters' personalities, the semi-realistic backgrounds (based on real locations and redrawn on top of them) are superb and have a vintage feel to remind us that we're in the 80s, and the animations are quite often effective at giving you chills. ❤ The characters are the game's greatest strength. None of them are smooth, they all have their dark side and convincing motivations, some are certainly more complex than others, but each has an interesting evolution. And as much as they work well individually, their interactions with each other are also nice. You become attached to this group and find yourself excited when their paths merge (at least, I was rejoicing a little xD) ❤ As soon as you enter the game's menu, you realize that the soundtrack is going to be amazing. The themes are varied in style and mood, and contribute effectively to the dynamics of the scenes. ❤ There's a non-linear aspect to the plot, since we'll be following several character paths at the same time (represented by a flowchart), which will often overlap. As a result, you won't be able to unlock certain scenes without having fulfilled specific conditions in other routes. This gives the game a pleasant and original puzzle aspect.

+/- In fact, we often have to glance at the menu files containing all the historical information as well as the character profiles to help us move forward and understand the underlying plot, which makes the player an active part of the investigation. The story evolves in a coherent manner, buuuuuuuuut is a bit predictable when it comes to big revelations... +/- Some very good directional ideas, for example using the 360-degree rotation of the mouse to create some very scary moments (with jumpscares that really got me) or even playing on a rather surprising meta aspect…….but it all runs out of steam very quickly. Indeed, all these mechanics are concentrated mainly in the prologue (which is rather long, it has to be said), after which we find ourselves in a more conventional thriller with more "banal" scenes with no real gameplay apart from the choice of dialogues and exploration. This gives an impression of inconsistency in the evolution of the game, and makes the loss of that initial momentum almost bland. However, there are still a few good ideas here and there (such as an escape game phase), but I don't think they live up to this introduction. +/- The game asks the player to adjust the volume of the voices at the start….but the game is not dubbed xD actually, the option has its importance later in the story but I swear it gave me false hope at the time x')

✖ No skip option for dialogues already read, which quickly becomes annoying when you want to unlock the various endings. ✖ It's amazing how rushed the true end is! It's to the point where it didn't make any impression on me at all, and the final revelations fall flat. And I still come back to this feeling of inconsistency; we have an intro that is terrific for an ending that is anticlimactic (and it rhymes). ✖ Some of the characters sometimes make rather humorous faces that don't really fit in with the drama of the sequences at times; I didn't understand this choice…

If you're looking for a visual novel with a solid storyline and a charismatic cast of characters, you certainly won't get bored with this title. However, don't expect a purely horrific game, given the rather blatant change of tone and the more basic mechanics after the introduction. Why this choice? That's the real mystery of this game…
