I am heartbroken to report that Peanut has passed away earlier this morning.
He was the best little buddy I could have ever asked for, and gave me more purpose and love than I ever could have imagined when I was picking him up at the shelter 4 years ago.
Tumblr media
Peanut lived a long, chaotic and let’s face it– hedonistic life. Nobody told Peanut what to do, I think he listened to me as an act of love and charity, but not to anybody else.
He would pick a fight with any size dog or person, consequences be damned.
Tumblr media
(The result of him barking at a large dog through a fence, which led to the dog subsequently grabbing his entire head through the fence and nearly ripping it off)
He ate better than most humans, frequently rejecting dog food for the finer things in life instead. He was probably one of the few dogs who has had filet mignon. But typically, his weaknesses were bacon and eggs, and chicken nuggets at McDonalds.
Tumblr media
He loved belly rubs (but only by me), and gave his own nuzzles right back. I could tell he was happy when he started to make little piggy noises as I scratched his neck and stomach.
Tumblr media
Peanut always had to be right in the middle of the action, He would step in the way of you moving furniture, get between you and your book or screen, and just generally work to make sure he was a part of anything vital you happened to be doing at the moment.
Tumblr media
I love you buddy
Peanut and I traveled across the country together, more than once. He’s seen more than most people see in their lifetime. We were chased away from The Bean in Chicago (no dogs allowed), saw Zion and the deserts of Southern California, lived in Boulder for a month, and drove the long stretches of highway on road trips from CA to NY.
(By the way- Peanut was a TERRIBLE copilot. His main goal in the car was to be in my lap, and stand up with his paws on the steering wheel. and he was relentless, as he was with everything.)

I cannot emphasize enough how important Peanut has been for my mental health. He brought me through to the other side of some extremely challenging times in my life, and I hope I gave him even a quarter of the quality of life that he gave back to me.

I love you, my little buddy.
There will always be a hole in my heart now that you’ve left, but I will cherish our time together and the unconditional love you’ve given me for the rest of my days.

One of my favorite companions of ME 🤩
I love the buddy vibes from Garrus (even if sometimes he needs to check his temper!)
I’m messing a bit with brushes. I’d like to give a more textured feeling to those drawing…

Me and Paingorious were best friends. I'm actually the one who referred him to the theraprism, so I'm glad he's doing better. He loved butterflies.

I know the Pokemon GO mobile game’s popularity has basically diminished, but that hasn’t stopped me from playing. I, of course, have become a way more relaxed player tho. Lol I still have cool news to share…..

The Great and Mysterious Imp has looked into the future and predicted
....Cookies! Many, many cookie treats with which to bribe his fellow housemates.
(When you are the smallest dog in the house it is brains, or cookies, over brawn. He uses the cookies to bribe the bigger dogs to do what he wants. Clever boy!)

Best Buddy S.J
Scarlett Johansson x Reader
Summary: R lost her best friend and Scarlett comforts her
Scarlett POV From the door of Y/N's bedroom, I could tell how devastated she was. Her knees were close to her chest as she pressed her lips together trying to hold back her tears.
Y/N's dog had just passed away, and although she saw it coming as his health was deteriorating and the regular visits to the vet, it didn't help in preparing her heart for the sorrow it was experiencing.
Graham, her dog, had been having diabetes, kidney problems and his vision was getting blurry. He was a lot more tired and less energetic as the days went by. The usual one hour walk would get reduced to half an hour or sometimes not at all as he hardly had the energy to get up from where he was laying.
After much consideration, Y/N and I made a painful decision to schedule his goodbye. It wasn't easy for Y/N as she cried a lot that day. She wasn't ready to say goodbye to her baby just yet.
But, just like his mother, he never does what he was told. He decided he didn't want any needles or poking and laid by their front porch with the sun on his fur and drifted away.
Y/N and I were shattered. Graham was her dog for 14 years. He was a part of Y/N's life before I even met her. Graham was always a cuddly dog, needing to be in our personal space, sitting on our laps even though he was obviously way too big to do so, kissing and licking our faces. He always loved his belly rubs. Sometimes, he would sleep in our bed and follow us around the house.
Y/N always joked that Graham had claimed me instantly and were best buds. It was like I was his favourite, whenever he wanted to play, he would bring his toys to my feet and nudged me before running to his play area.
We were buddies but Graham was ultimately HER dog. When he started to have health problems or any time he didn't feel his best, he cemented himself on her and only wanted her cuddles no matter how I tried to cheer him with his favourite toy. Playing, something he has been doing less and less of.
That morning he left us, he was burrowed in her arms so tight and didn't want to allow Y/N to get out of bed with him. Y/N and I realised now he was saying goodbye.
I miss him terribly, more so Y/N. Graham gave us so much and left such a massive hole in our hearts and lives. We're only hoping he can play as much as he wants where he is now. He's such a special baby and I was grateful to be a part of his life.
I quietly made my way to her and placed her head on my shoulder. Slowly, she uncurled herself and wrapped around me, snuggling her face in the nook of my neck. Shortly later, I felt my shirt getting wet and I rubbed her back gently. "It's okay, he's in a better place now." Her cries turned into a messier sob and I held her tighter hoping she found safety in my arms.
