*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ love language; s.g.
synopsis: when gojo satoru first fell in love with you content: teen gojo era, fem!reader, gojo is head over heels (love at first sight), hopeless!romantic gojo, 1k+ words of gojo just being an absolute fool in love, not beta read (sorry for any errors!) note: I've been wanting to create a sort of anthology series for some of my favs so here's a test run! I rlly wanna do lil drabbles/oneshots that can both be standalone but also can be read as something continuous revolving around Gojo's story with his soulmate... pls lmk if you'd like to see more of gojo and his mochi (aka you!)
Gojo Satoru didn't entirely know what love was; what with being raised by other people who weren't his actual mother and father, how could he? All he ever knew was a life of being the Honored One, since the day he was born. Nothing but a weapon. Living as the strongest and treated like a god... he never knew what real love felt like. He never knew what it was like to give or receive it. At least, not this way.
Geto Suguru and Ieiri Shoko were his best friends, the closest thing to real family. It wasn't like he didn't have any, at least not while growing up, but were they really family when all they ever did was train him and treat him like the eighth wonder of the world? Unlike everyone else, at least Suguru and Shoko treated him like a human. They loved him for who he was, but didn't hesitate to snap him into place when his ego was too inflated. They were there for him, even when expressing whatever demons that he held within him was hard to manage. If it wasn't for them, he wasn't sure exactly how he'd go about his life. Sure, he'd act like everything was fine and dandy, money could buy him happiness as he had plenty of it... and he was pretty much unstoppable, but the idea of living a life without either of them didn't sit well in his stomach.
So, sure, Satoru did now a bit about love, at least the love he felt for his best friends, but nothing like what he felt in this moment. The moment his eyes first fell on you.
He hadn't a clue as to who you were, only seeing you stroll along the grounds of Jujutsu High with your little uniform. The typical jacket, a skirt beneath, knee high socks, loafers... and your hair in a low ponytail that was held together by an overly large ribbon. Cute was the first thing that came to mind, along with the terrifying sound of his racing heart. Who were you? How come he had never seen you before? Maybe it was because he didn't pay attention to any one else besides a handful of people. He'd be lying if he said he was sure the technical college held more than five students.
In the midst of sipping away at his little box of strawberry milk, walking alongside Suguru and Shoko, Satoru's eyes had aimlessly wandered along his environment as his two best friends had been discussing evening plans. It wasn't like him to care about what was going on around him, so it was quite the miracle that his eyes were looking anywhere but ahead of him... but, maybe this was destiny.
It felt like the world was suddenly moving slowly around him, rather dramatically like a movie. His lips parted as the tiny straw fell out of it, hidden gaze behind his circular frames becoming exposed as the glasses slid down the bridge of his nose. You looked so graceful, the afternoon sun beaming down on you, your smile as bright as his eyes... he had to have been in love. This had to have been love. What else could it have been? Why else was his heart fluttering so quickly? Why else was he caught in a daze by your beauty? No one else, not a single soul, ever caught his attention this way so you must've been his soulmate.
There was something about you, from your gorgeous hair, to the cute bow, down to the uniform and the way it suited your form to the way you... wait, were you laughing with... Nanami Kento? Gojo's heart stopped as his grip on the milk grew tight, causing the contents to squeeze right out and squirt all over his face.
The sound of laughter caught his attention as he quickly looked at his two best friends, embarrassment filling his face as he looked back at you to see you now looking in his direction. Quickly wiping his face and turning away to scold his best friends, Gojo tossed the now empty carton at Geto. "Shut up!"
"What the hell did you do?" Suguru shook his head, wiping his tears as his shoulders shook with every laugh that rumbled throughout his torso. "Losing your cool over a girl, huh?"
"I said shut up!" Satoru snapped, cheeks burning with heat, embarrassed that he was that obvious.
"Must've struck something in him for him to spill milk all over his face like the doofus he is," Shoko snickered as Suguru went for a high five.
Swatting their hands and glaring at the two, Gojo hissed, "nothing happened, I squeezed too hard."
"Right," the two said in sync before eyeing one another, smirking and stifling a laugh.
Shoving past them as he kept walking ahead, grumbling to himself, Gojo couldn't help but peak over in your direction. You had already turned your attention back to the two on either side of you—Nanami along with Yu Haibara. Since when did they have a friend that was a girl? And when did you appear? He should've known seeing as both were his junior and both trained quite close to Suguru and himself. So you must've been new... He supposed he'd find more out about you, knowing he'd find a way to get under Nanami's skin and get anything out of him. He must've known a lot about you...
Gojo smirked to himself. He'd get his way.
"No," Nanami spoke as he crossed his arms. The confidence in Gojo's face instantly fading away. He didn't even hesitate, cancelling his plans with his best friends to bribe Kento into giving him some information. He swore taking his junior to his favorite bakery would help him out, but, no! Kento, being the wise boy he was, took advantage of Satoru paying for food in a false exchange for information. "I'm not going to be your middle man."
"Why not?!" Gojo whined, throwing himself back in his seat dramatically. "Just one thing! Something! Anything! She's the love of my life!"
Narrowing his eyes as he sipped away at his water, Nanami settled the glass down before crossing his arms once again. "Love of your life? You don't even know her name—"
"Because you won't tell me!" Gojo cried, throwing his head back and stomping his foot as if he was about to throw a tantrum. "Please, please! I beg of you, tell me something about her! Besides her name, what's her favorite color? Maybe her favorite food? Or... or what's her favorite date spot!"
"Satoru, I am not about to ask her what her favorite date spot is," Nanami deadpanned. "I'll give you her name and that's all. Everything else is on you. I'm not going to play matchmaker, let alone, set you up with someone so far out of your league."
Gasping in offense, Gojo clutched his chest. "Out of my league? Sure, she's a pure angel, a real heavenly being, but I like to think I am, too!"
"Egotistical..." Kento mumbled as Gojo frowned. "I'm only telling you one thing to get you off my back. You can't ask me anything ever again in order to get close to her. That's on you."
Pressing his hands together and interlocking his fingers, Gojo gave his best puppy eyes as he jutted out his bottom lip. "Please, I promise to leave you be after!"
"You better," the blond man grumbled before giving his senior your name. "She likes to sit under the cherry blossoms on the eastern side of the campus. If you want to find her and talk to her, she's usually there on her down time." At that, Nanami stood up and tucked his seat back into the table. Just as he was about to leave, he stopped in his tracks, turning to face the white haired young man. "All I ask of you is to be... gentle. She's a nice girl. I don't need you breaking her heart."
Sitting up with confidence as a wide grin took over his face, Satoru nodded with his thumbs up. "Believe me, I wont! I know this is love!" Seeing Nanami roll his eyes before leaving, Gojo happily sighed before looking out the window. Leaning his chin in the palm of his hand, he eyed the cherry blossom that had petals delicately swaying in the wind. "She's my soulmate, I know we are destined to be."

a slytherin secret
description: you and theodore nott have been best friends since childhood, but this is the moment your friendship changes.
pairing: childhood bsf!theodore nott x fem!reader
contains: fluff!, childhood best friends to lovers
song rec: apocalypse by cigarettes after sex- "sharing all your secrets with each other since you were kids"
w.c: 1k
an: you have to use your imagination a little bit to pretend that wingardium leviosa isn't taught in the first year...
"come on, theo," you urged, nudging him with your elbow. "you can't just skip over the charms homework again. professor flitwick will have our heads on a platter if we're not prepared for tomorrow."
theo looked up from the quidditch magazine spread open in his lap, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "oh, come on. you know i've got the quidditch game to worry about. besides, it's just a simple levitation charm. how hard can it be?"
you rolled your eyes but couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corners of your mouth. theo had always been like this—a bit of a procrastinator when it came to schoolwork, but you knew he'd pull through when it really mattered. plus, his charm and natural athleticism had earned him a spot on the slytherin team for the past three years, so maybe he had a point.
"alright, alright," he conceded, tossing the magazine aside and grabbing his wand. "but only because you're my favorite."
you felt your cheeks warm at the compliment and hoped the flickering firelight was enough to hide your blush. theo had always had a way of making you feel special, even amidst the competitive slytherin environment. you focused on the parchment in front of you, reading the incantation for the levitation charm. "wingardium leviosa," you murmured, watching the quill hover slightly in the air.
theo mirrored your actions, his own quill rising slightly before dropping back down to the table with a soft thud. he frowned, his eyes narrowing in concentration. "it's not working," he muttered.
you couldn't help but feel a twinge of amusement at his failure. "remember, it's all in the wrist," you said, demonstrating the flick again. "wingardium leviosa."
theo took a deep breath and tried once more. this time, his quill shot straight up, knocking over his inkwell and spilling a cascade of black ink across the table. "merlin!" he exclaimed, the two of you jumping up as the ink began to spread.
you couldn't hold in your laughter any longer. it bubbled up from your chest, filling the quiet common room with its warmth. theo looked at you, his own smile growing as he took in your amusement. "see? this is why i need you," he said, teasingly wiping an ink smudge from your cheek.
the moment hung between you, his hand lingering on your face, and something shifted in the air. the laughter died down, leaving only the crackling of the fireplace and the distant murmur of students passing in the corridor. you met his gaze, and for a heartbeat, the entire world felt like it had stopped spinning.
theo's hand dropped to his side, and he took a step closer, his eyes searching yours. "you know," he began, his voice low and earnest, "i've never been able to do this without you."
you blinked, the warmth of his touch still lingering on your skin. "do what?"
theo took another step closer, his eyes never leaving yours. "anything. quidditch, homework, even breathing. ever since we were kids, you've been there for me."
your heart raced as you realized what he was getting at. the unspoken truth that had always been there, lurking just beneath the surface of your friendship. you had felt it too, but never had the courage to say it out loud.
"theo," you whispered, your voice barely audible over the crackling fire.
he stepped closer, his eyes searching yours for any sign of hesitation. "i know we're slytherins, and we're not supposed to be all…mushy," he said, his voice filled with a nervous laugh, "but i can't ignore it anymore. you mean everything to me."
you felt your heart pound in your chest as the weight of his words settled over you. theo had always been the braver one, the one who took risks and lived life without fear. but here he was, vulnerable and open, confessing feelings you had both danced around for years.
taking a deep breath, you reached out and took his hand, the warmth of his skin sending a jolt through your body. "theo," you said, your voice steady despite the turmoil of emotions churning inside you, "i feel the same way."
the tension between you two snapped like a tightly stretched bowstring, and suddenly he was there, his arms around you, pulling you into a hug so tight it felt like he was trying to hold onto something precious that might slip away. you melted into his embrace, feeling his heart thud against your chest, matching the frantic rhythm of your own.
for a moment, you just stood there, holding each other, the warmth of the fireplace at your backs, the ink slowly seeping into the parchment forgotten. it was as if the whole world had melted away, leaving only the two of you in the cozy cocoon of the Slytherin common room.
"you do?" theo's voice was muffled against your hair, but the hope in it was unmistakable.
you nodded, smiling. "yes, theo. i do."
theo pulled back, his eyes searching yours with a newfound intensity. you could see the disbelief slowly morph into joy, and before you had the chance to say another word, his lips were on yours. it was a gentle kiss, full of wonder and tenderness, as if he was afraid you might vanish if he pressed too hard.
your arms wrapped around his neck, and you kissed him back, feeling the years of unspoken longing coil around you like a warm embrace. the air grew thick with the promise of something more, something you had both been too afraid to acknowledge.
the common room was a blur of shadows and firelight as you deepened the kiss, your hearts beating in sync. theo's hands found their way to the small of your back, pulling you closer, as if trying to erase any distance that had ever existed between you.
breathless, you pulled away, your eyes searching his for any sign of doubt. but all you saw was the same unbridled happiness reflecting in the emerald depths that had been by your side through every victory and defeat, every secret and shared smile.

I Want It All
You’re a rich, spoiled international student who wants nothing more but to meet your favorite musicians
nsfw: smut
-
You were bored, with too much money to know what to do with. You were an international student in Germany, spoiled rotten your parents hoped that being in a new country and acclimating yourself to a new environment would teach you some independence. In a way they were right, you’d come to this show completely alone, just telling your friends you’d done it spontaneously as a white lie.
The truth is you’d planned to go to the concert for weeks in excruciating detail. Obsession was an understatement for what you felt for these two singers, Ski Aggu and Joost Klein. Your studies had bored you, school was always too easy thanks to your private school background and rigorous expectations set throughout your life, hard work came naturally to you and became more like a routine than a conscious effort. Spring was turning to summer, the heat, the flowers in full boom, vibrant green trees, and endless possibilities excited you to no end. You had your daddy’s money to waste, the world was like your playground and you’d become accustomed to getting what you wanted no matter what.
You’d gotten tickets on a balcony to avoid getting overly crowded and to be under the bright lights for too long. You wanted to keep your distance from others, watching closely, singing along to some songs, and recording half the concert to have something to watch back on and show your friends. When the concert ended, you were probably the only one who wasn’t upset it was over.
You carefully snuck past the crowds and approached a security guard who was by the backstage area. After a bit of failed negotiation, it took slipping a few hundred euros into his hand you asked him if he could do you a favor and see if he could get you backstage. You embellished, saying that you were a huge fan and just wished that you could get a few of your CDs signed. It was partly true, you were a fan and had the CDs in your ridiculously expensive purse, but you had other intentions, or rather hopes.
The security guard escorted you to the backstage area. It was quiet, the walls making the sound of the music that continued to play as people left muffled. All you could hear besides that was your footsteps and the heavier ones of the security guard, who was one of the tallest and scariest men you’d ever seen. It failed to intimidate you though, money always worked wonders to make a scary man sweeten up and tuck his tail between his legs.
“What do you work as?” The man’s accent was a bit thick and he was forward, you noticed he was eyeing down your outfit
“My dad owns a company.” You answered with a smile, making the man chuckle and shake his head. “But I’m just a student.”
“You are wearing very expensive clothes, so forgive me.” He explained a bit apprehensively, worried he’d accidentally offend you, “Are you sure you just want CDs signed?”
You could tell he was asking as an offer, not over suspicion. You can see that he was willing to pull some strings for you, but you were confident you didn’t need extra help. You only smiled, nodding your head innocently before he led you to a door, knocking three times. You could hear the commotion coming to a halt, the loud conversation of two men, and the sound of a football match.
“There’s a fan here for you.” The security guard announced loudly. “Very beautiful.” He winked.
You felt your heart fall to your feet. It felt like an elevator crashing, dramatic and terrifying you stood there motionless as you saw your distorted reflection in the colorful glass the man across from you had. They were up on his forehead now, exposing his eyes that he’d kept hidden for the show. They were beautiful, murky blue like the middle of the ocean.
“Sprichst du Deutsch?” He asked immediately, you shook your head a bit embarrassed. “Oh, so sad.” He frowned.
You introduced yourself impulsively before asking your question, “I was wondering if you could sign some things for me.” You asked nervously, pulling out the CDs and a sharpie, one meant for Joost and one for himself. “Please.”
He hesitated for a bit, “Ja, sure.” He took his CD, signing it quickly. “Joost!” He called loudly out over his shoulder.
Joost sat up from the couch, he had a cigarette between his fingers, grey smoke lingering around him. He looked better up close, taller than you’d expected, His eyes lingered on you, they weren’t invading or judgmental, but slightly confused. You didn’t speak and just gave him the CD just as nervously, watching as they scribbled their signatures.
“You smoke?” Joost asked, as he handed you back the CD you felt his fingers graze yours.
“No.” You felt that you were already disappointed, seeing his face make the same expression that Aggu’s had. “Sorry.”
“Oh no, that’s good.” He suddenly smiled, stepping aside you felt your heart begin to race, blood rushing to your face and ears. “Do you want to come inside for a bit?”
You felt yourself enter almost a trance as you stepped inside the dressing room, smelling of expensive men’s cologne, pungent tobacco, and beer. You glanced over to see the security guard had since left, leaving you completely alone. You didn’t understand why you were so apprehensive now, regret creeping in confused you, after all, this is exactly what you wanted.
“Did you come here all alone?” Joost asked, walking over to one of the couches and beckoning you over.
“Yes.” You answered, smoothing down your skirt as you sat down, with both men at either side of you. The couch was warm and plush under your skin, you tried to relax by leaning back as you faced one of the handsome men seated next to you. “I got a ticket last minute.”
Joost smiled again, his eyes looking you up and down before settling on your purse. “You must be a rich girl.” He joked, “Are you studying here in Germany?”
You nodded, distracted by Aggu reaching over your thigh and putting a beer bottle in your lap. You winced at the coldness, holding it in your hands as he opened it for you and pushed it to your lips.
“Here, you must drink if you don’t smoke?” Aggu asked, you felt his arm settle near your waist, his fingertips hardly touching your exposed skin. “It’s good, German beer.”
You hated beer, but you felt you were already starting on the wrong foot, making how spoiled you were too apparent. “I’ll try it.” You took a sip, grimacing a bit from the bitter, earthy flavor. “It’s fine.” You said when you realized they were anxiously waiting for your response.
They chuckled, eyes fixated on you to the point it almost felt like you were naked. They looked down at your figure, wrapped away inexpensive, pristine clothing you looked completely out of place. They thought of their cheap CDs stuffed in your bag worth thousands, the blush on your cheeks, and mascara brushed on your lashes probably from luxury brands. They wondered why you of all people were at one of their shows.
“You must have a boyfriend, no?” Aggu asked suddenly. “Why would he let you come here alone?”
You shook your head, and just like that a shared fantasy began to manifest itself. Aggu nodded with a strained smile, instinctively looking at Joost who was focused on his beer and crushing his cigarette, then at the door to tell him that he needed a moment of privacy.
The two men excused themselves as politely as possible, saying that they wanted to go out to have a smoke instead of doing it rudely in front of you, but to help yourself to any more beers in the meantime. Joost shut the door quietly, leading Aggu to the closest exit.
They stood outside, the night was a bit eerie, hardly any stars were visible as they were in the middle of Berlin, nothing was heard but the rustling of trees, and all they felt was the cool and against their skin that was quickly heating up. They were nervous, desperately needing a moment to gather themselves and decide what to do about you. It seemed like an opportunity fell into their laps, but it didn’t mean that it would be wise to take it.
Even if there was tension between them, almost a sort of unspoken desire that they wanted the same thing, no one spoke. They smoked in silence for a while, the only sound of their breathing.
“I want to fuck her,” Aggu said suddenly. His tone was shockingly, almost offensively casual as he lit his cigarette.
Joost hesitated for a moment, flicking the lighter over and over as his cigarette burned and wasted between his fingers. He thought of you again, wondering what you were doing in the room all alone, and what thoughts were racing through your mind. He was strung out tonight, the show allowed him to get pent-up energy out, but never all of it. He smoked until he couldn’t bare it and drank enough to calm his nerves, but he realized that nothing would make him feel better than to fuck someone, it’s been so long, and seeing that you, how beautiful you were, and knowing you probably had enough money to buy him made you more attractive.
“I do too.” Joost finally answered, taking a short drag from his cigarette, wondering if Aggu was serious or just saying it as a vulgar compliment.
“We can fuck her together.” Aggu’s tone was still overly casual, it intimidated Joost as much as it began to excite him. “I think she’d like that.”
It was subtle, his face was still as he felt overtaken by disbelief and reluctance as he’d never been in this situation before. He thought of it, a spoiled girl like yourself getting fucked by two men was beneath you, and knowing that only made him desire it to the point it was almost torturous. He didn’t realize he could want something this much, the fantasy replaying in his mind was tempting, and he didn’t want to let you slip through his fingers.
“How do you know that?” Joost questioned, his demeanor becoming standoffish. He couldn’t imagine the humiliation he’d feel if you turned them down, or worse preferred Aggu over himself.
“Don’t be stupid.” Aggu threw the cigarette butt on the ground and stomped it out. “Let’s go, I’m getting cold.”
Joost did the same with his half-smoked cigarette and trailed behind Aggu, watching from just outside the door as he entered back into the room. Your eyes lit up immediately, looking up at him with stars in your eyes he began to suspect that he’d been right about you. Closing the door behind him, he still stayed in the same spot, his back leaning against it.
What came next shouldn’t have surprised him. He watched as Aggu sat down beside you, a drunken smile on his face, hands smoothing down on your arms before he leaned over and kept his face close to yours.
“Are you sure you don’t have a boyfriend?” Aggu’s voice had softened, his hand grasping your thigh making you instantly grow cold. “You’re too pretty.”
“I don’t.” You mumbled, staring directly at the floor you couldn’t find it within yourself to face him.
You were allowed a moment away from his burning gaze but soon felt his fingers hold your chin and force you to turn your head. It was a bit jarring to see him without the ski goggles, but still, you couldn’t help but wonder why he’d willingly cover up such gorgeous eyes.
“Did your parents pay for your ticket?” Aggu questioned, your chest ignited with a combination of shame and excitement, you knew exactly what he thought of you.
“Kind of, they send me money often.” You admitted the look on his face made you instinctively squeeze your thighs together. Lust had completely taken over any sense you had.
“That’s cute.” Aggu’s hand squeezed down on your thigh, his thumb tracing circles against your soft skin.
Everything about you was begging to be ruined. Your skin was almost unrealistically soft. He couldn’t imagine how high maintenance you were, how expensive your self-care products and your trips to the spa were. All for him to be able to hold you and eventually have his way with you. As he continued to touch your thigh, his eyes hadn’t left yours, leaning over he finally caved into his desires.
Joost couldn’t help but stare. He watched as your glossy lips parted and your eyes fluttered shut. Aggu’s lips were plush against you, he watched as he brought you closer, his lips parting from yours only for his tongue lying flat against your neck the feeling made you squirm in his arms. The sight entranced him, he wanted to touch you but couldn’t find it in himself to move.
“Joost,” Aggu spoke against your neck making you squirm. “Stop watching, come here.”
He sat down next to you nervously. Aggu stopped kissing your neck for a moment to position you perfectly in the center so that Joost wouldn’t just have your back turned to him.
You felt too many hands on you, squeezing your breasts, grazing over your waist, caressing your thighs. You couldn’t hold in the sounds you were making, the feeling of getting your neck kissed and their strong hands touching you was too much all at once.
You couldn’t tell whose lips were softer, a minuscule detail you forced your thoughts to center on so that you had some sense of control. It was an empty effort, you were taken over by need and found yourself leaning towards one of the men for a kiss.
You peeked through and saw you were kissing Joost, but the way his mustache scratched against your upper lip had given it away at first. The kiss didn’t last as long as you’d hoped, Aggu, impatient and a bit jealous moved your cheek so that you’d kiss him instead.
“Don’t make us fight.” Aggu teased, one strong hand squeezing down on your breast as he kissed you.
You felt Joost press his lips against the corner of your mouth, the two men had become so desperate it intimidated you how strongly they were coming onto you. You began to wonder if you could handle going any further, two men kissing you at the same time was already overwhelming.
You watched as their lips accidentally grazed each other’s, hearing them chuckle before they took turns kissing you on the lips. It cooled the tension for a moment, you were surprised that they could get along so well.
You felt Aggu kiss your neck as Joost held your chin in his hand and brought you into a much softer kiss. Aggu was the first to begin to undress you. He carefully slid down the strap to your shirt, as eager as he was, when he saw that you slid the other down for him he took it as a sign to continue.
You practically felt your clothes torn off your body by them both, stripping you bare as if you were teasing them for hours on end. Joost had left your lips puffy from his greedily passionate kiss, and the delicate skin on your neck throbbed from how many love bites Aggu left. They took everything off except for your stockings. They were black, slightly sheer, and sitting atop your lingerie. It wasn’t blatant with garter and intricate designs, but it was clear you’d made an effort.
“This is very nice,” Joost remarked as he squeezed down on your breasts, you felt yourself burn at the slight smirk on his face and the way he glanced at Aggu. “It’s very nice, isn’t it?”
“I feel bad for your boyfriend, waiting at home for you.” Aggu teased, “Do you always wear things like this under your clothes?”
You couldn’t answer. You felt Aggu rest his hand on the back of your neck and guide you down so that you were now lying on your side. Your cheek rubbed up against the rough fabric of his dark jeans, you could smell the faint cologne and cigarette smoke, it nauseated and excited you.
Joost’s hands held your waist, gently moving you to the side so that you’d be lying on your stomach. He heard him sit up, the blood abandoning all your limbs to rush towards your head. You felt the room spinning as Aggu played with your hair, alternating from smoothing it down his gently to twirling a few strands around his fingers and tugging at it.
Joost was behind you, his hands running down your back like stones skipping in the water, you shivered under his touch with anticipation. His fingers grazed against you softly, soon settling on your ass and grabbing and kneading down. You heard the two men share a laugh, Aggu leaning over to spank you a few times. Internally, that was the final moment of sanity you had left. You were never so desperate to be touched, you felt like it was almost cruel and were moments away from begging them.
“Are these stockings expensive?” Joost asked softly, his hand rubbing down to soothe where Aggu had slapped.
“Uh,” You began, trying to remember where they were from, “I think they were a hundred euros or something.”
The room fell silent for less than a second before erupting in soft laughter. It was mocking, you felt ridiculed but strangely from the way they held you, Joost’s hand rubbing down on your back as Aggu continued to gently pet your hair the shame excited you.
“You’re crazy.” Joost chuckled, staring down at the stockings he felt an intrusive thought naw at him. “You can get them for 5 euros at any store you know?”
Of course, you knew, and of course, Joost did as well. It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise how fixated he was on your stockings when after a while of his hands running up and down the sheer, thin material he bunched them up as his hands and soon you heard the first sound of the threads snapping loose.
The sound of tearing had again silenced the room but was intertwined by Joost’s first sound of pleasure. He groaned softly as he watched the fabric tear and split, like a present revealing your soft skin underneath. It invigorated him, relinquishing the power you had over to him and having complete freedom to make you a part of his fantasy.
“I’m sorry.” Joost offered the apology, not necessarily regretting it but he didn’t want to upset you. “I’ll get you new ones.”
“The ones that cost five euros?” Aggu chuckled, getting a slap on the side of his arm in response.
Joost finished undressing you completely, and soon everything had completely settled into reality for you. The coolness of the room should’ve helped to prevent how you burned up inside, a fire deep in your stomach and rushing over your body. You had lost a bit of sense, positioning yourself in a way that better to be fucked, and with your free hand, you tugged on Aggu’s belt.
“Zo wanhopig, so desperate,” Joost mumbled, his hands gripping your waist and pulling you back. “Are you comfortable like this?”
You looked back at him over your shoulder, nodding a bit apprehensively. As much as you wanted it you didn’t feel quite ready, but it was as if Joost heard and granted your internal wish. As Aggu continued playing with your hair and letting you palm him through his jeans, you felt Joost’s breath against your backside.
He drew apart your thighs gently, leaning down, he kissed the backs of your thighs before he began to lick against your pussy. You couldn’t help but become immediately vocal. You whimpered with every movement, writhing your hips against his mouth selfishly. He didn’t seem to mind if anything he encouraged it as his fingers dug into your hips and kept them in place.
Aggu could only see Joost’s head from behind, but the only way thing he wanted was to watch the blissful expression on your face. As nice of a sight it was, paired with the sounds you were making soon made him grow impatient. It was like his body had a mind of its own, before he knew it his clothes were thrown messily in a pile near the couch and he was pushing his cock into your face.
He nudged it on your cheek to encourage you to open your mouth. You couldn’t describe the feeling that completely engulfed your senses. It was as lustful as it made you feel overly exposed. You’d never experienced anything close to this, and the fleeting thoughts of what your friends and your family would think if they knew. You couldn’t help but feel invigorated by the fact that it was so wrong and unlike you.
Aggu could tell you were trying to maintain whatever poise you had left as you sucked him off. It was cute at first, you felt as he smoothed your hair out of your face and softly praised you, but as you withdrew too often as Joost eating you out was too overwhelming. Just like Joost held your hips in place, Aggu’s hands pulled your hair and shoved his cock into your mouth as softly as he could.
The way you gagged against him drove him wild, it took every bit of constraint not to fuck your mouth as hard as he could. He relinquished some control, letting you take the lead. It soon dawned on him, from the look in your eyes that was far from begging but satisfied that he was just feeding into how spoiled you were. You came for CDs and now had Joost on his knees eating you out and Aggu aching for when it was his turn.
As much as you didn’t want this to end, you felt your orgasm build steadily and you leaned desperately into chasing that feeling. Your legs grew unstable, you pushed yourself against Joost’s mouth and felt the enthusiasm reciprocated from how he hummed against you and sunk his fingers into your flesh.
You cried out incoherently, Aggu’s cock hanging out your mouth as he let you ride out your orgasm against Joost’s tongue. He didn’t stop, the overstimulation sending electric bolts through your spent body. Your body ached with pleasure, every muscle relaxed, your heart pounding into your ears as your mind settled into a heavenly state.
“You taste so good.” Joost’s face was now next to yours, you felt his breath against your neck making you shiver. “Give me a kiss.”
He brought you into a quick, sloppy kiss. His tongue shoved into your mouth, filling it with the taste of you. It was strange, not unpleasant but you’d never had anyone kiss you directly afterwards, especially like this.
“Let me see.” Aggu pulled you up and kissed you a bit most gently, tasting remnants of yourself on your soft lips. “Get back on your knees and help Joost out.”
He was authoritative, yanking your hair and manhandling you before he spread your legs the same way Joost had,
“Wait-“ You protested, overwhelmed, your head foggy and confused as you felt Aggu press a kiss against your sensitive clit.
You were melting under their touch, your lips wrapped around Joost’s cock as Aggu ate your pussy just for the sake of tasting you. Once he was satisfied, you heard the sound of plastic tearing which made you burn with anticipation.
“You want me to fuck you, Schatz?” Aggu cooed, his hand delicately smoothing down your back. “Hm?”
“Yes,” You withdrew from Joost’s cock before he guided your head back to pleasuring him. “Please, I need it.”
It was quick and sloppy. You felt completely used and you loved it. Aggu’s tip stretched you out, it burned with pleasure with every movement, matter how much you winced and grunted from the discomfort it was all worth it when he bottomed you out. He filled you up perfectly, the way his big hands felt against your hot skin made you grow weaker. The two men had made indentations of your hips, their infatuation with you, your body, the way you were like a little gift from the universe dropped into their lap.
You were an absolute dream. Joost watched as you gave him head, not being able to focus completely on the obscenities in the room. He listened to you spit on his dick and suck him off, the sound of your groans entertained with his own, and skin slapping from Aggu pounding into you. It was nothing less than a fantasy. He wondered how many people would kill just to get to watch.
“I’m gonna cum.” Joost sighed, breaking the tension momentarily, “Just like that, such a good girl.”
You felt it was almost rewarding to have them both in the palm of your hand. It was better than your climax to bring them both to that point, the two men panting and mumbling incoherent praises as they fucked you. They took turns kissing you just to see how you tasted. You began to truly believe there wasn’t anything in this world you couldn’t have.
Joost came in your mouth without warning, bringing you back harshly to the reality of the room. Hearing his groan and cry out your name as he desperately bucked his hips into your mouth was the most incredible feeling. You swallowed without a second thought, eagerly licking against the shaft and tip as he watched a bit dumbfounded.
“Oh, god.” Joost sighed, his eyes and voice weary. “You’re perfect.” He pinched your cheek lovingly before giving you a tired smile.
Aggu’s pace at first was controlled, he didn’t want to make you overwhelm you as you took. care of Joost, he was a good friend after all. He wished he wasn’t so close, but seeing you suck Joost off and lap up his cock when he was done was too erotic, he wished he’d looked away, but the sounds alone could’ve gotten him off.
He tried to last longer, thinking of something to turn him off, like the hangover he’ll have the next morning, the thought of packing up all his shit to get on a plane to the next show. It was all an empty effort when you looked over your shoulder. The way your eyes met his immediately, big, pleading with your eyebrows knit together in bliss. He put you on your back, with a few quick motions treating you like a doll so he could finish himself off.
Aggu’s hands molded into yours, like hot glass, so delicate and vulnerable. You didn’t notice how many hands were on you, Joost helping Aggu and positioning himself at the side of the couch. His lips suddenly pressed against your nipples, drawing out a pathetic sound. Two fingers pressed onto your clit, rubbing down as Aggu’s pace became punishing.
Your body moved with his, staring up into his eyes you never wanted to look away. Your body was no longer yours for a few seconds, you’d completely surrendered to their touch and pleasure. Your orgasm had built up as quickly as it washed over you. Your body convulsed with pleasure, unexpedelyh which made it that much more intense. Aggu felt you clench around him, watching your blissful expression and feeling you soak his cock he couldn’t take it.
He soon followed after you, being far more vocal than both you and Joost. His moans were deep and drawn out, pumping himself inside of you a few more times before he practically collapsed beside you.
It was a tight fit, Aggu’s body was muscular, warm, and a bit tacky with sweat. Joost’s hands rubbed up and down your body to soothe you. Their tenderness was comforting, despite the fact this was all purely out of lust.
Your body felt heavy, wrapped in Aggu’s arms you watched as Joost got up and went over to the corner of the room. You watched a bit confused as he took some crumbled bills from his wallet and stuck them in your purse, not before leaning down and kissing you.
“Sorry about the stockings.”

the nanny [paige bueckers] part five
[chapter 8]
‘the nanny’ master list!
chapter eight: cat as a cat!
*barely proofread*
the small clicks of her feet against the grey and dirty pavement filled catherine's sense for a moment as her and paige's conversation came to a brief halt. they had mindlessly been holding several casual conversations over the course of the evening. the sounds of excited children paired well with the festive environment—houses decorated in family friendly horror, animated, blow-up ghosts and fog machines probably being sold out in every department store near them. the women both loved how most of the homes in this random neighborhood were super involved in the holiday and their community.
madion's small skipping had been only a few feet in front of the women as she wandered down the sidewalk looking for the next house adorned in gore to visit. the girl had been trick-or-treating for the last couple of hours, seemingly not tired yet. she was in her own little world, even after the constant reminder from the tall women behind her to not go too far or to watch where she was walking.
the women kept up with madison as best as they could, but they were honestly growing bored of the consistent pace of the evening, in turn making them tired. paige tried her best to keep her head up, though, looking forward to the halloween party she had planned on attending later that evening.
their arms brushed and bumped against one another constantly, the closeness not seeming to bother either of the women as they picked back up on their conversation flow.
"oh, i signed maddie up for one of those little league sports programs you were telling me about." paige spoke up, inevitably breaking the silence.
catherine looked up slightly from where her eyes lingered on madison to meet the eyes of the blonde beside her. lightly gasping excitedly, her hands together to make a single clap sound, holding them close to her chest. "really?" she asked, excitedly. she was so happy paige had listened to her advice. paige responded with a nod and a grin, looking down at catherine momentarily. "she's gonna love it." catherine added.
paige sighed with a nod as she swayed slightly down the concrete, eyes finding the back of her daughters head once more, "hope so. she needs friends." she spoke sincerely.
catherine shrugs, ultimately agreeing with the woman but lacking her worry. "don't stress it." she shoves her hands in the back pocket of her dark washed jeans that clung to her body. "i wasn't very social until high school. and i'm pretty cool now."
paige let's out a belly laugh at that one, relishing in the unamused look catherine shot her way, "please. i'm one of your three friends. the other two are your mom and molly."
catherine's arms folded across her chest, the chunky green sweater on her torso falling slightly off her shoulder to reveal her smooth, tan skin. "technically, you're my boss."
"mhm. and your mom is your mom—doesn't count. you have one friend."
scoffing, catherine shakes her head at the blonde, holding a hand up in defense. "shut up. i used to be cool in high school."
"used to be. i been cool since birth."
the brunette playfully shoves the teasing woman beside her, but she mostly ends up pushing herself away from her, paige hardly stumbling due to her strong balance.
shaking her head once again, catherine spoke, "molly would beat your ass if she heard how mean you were being to me."
"gosh, i wanna meet her. she sounds so bad." paige commented unashamed, having heard so many cool stories about the woman and her best friend already. molly sounded like a hell of a time.
the woman nods politely, shoving her hands into the sleeves of her sweater to protect her from the cool, october air. "she is.. but she's so professional now, it's hard to get it out of her." catherine spoke, almost reminiscing on who her best friend once was when they were younger. she had a hard time clinging on to the past.
"still." paige doesn't change her mind. taking a pause, she then asks a question that lingered in her mind. "does she live 'round here?"
the brunette sighs, almost just realizing right now that she really did have no friends. "no, she uh, moved to new york—brooklyn."
paige wanted to wince at the new information. she'd die if she lived that far away from the team of women she called her best friends and sisters. "that's tough.. what about your mom?"
"she's in boston." catherine informed uninterested, almost like she wasn't the biggest fan of this topic.
paige's brows furrowed, now wondering if catherine had anyone near by. any friends, family. "why's she there?"
catherine shrugged, arms still firm across her chest. "she moved there after i graduated high school. for as long as i can remember, she's wanted to move there. never knew why, never asked." she spoke, plain and simple.
paige nodded, now sticking her cold palms in the pockets of her black sweat pants as she decided to share some information of her own. "i've lived away from my mom for most of my life. i only ever visited her during the summer."
"yeah?"
"mhm. but, i'm a dad's girl, so." paige joked, insinuating she was never all that close with her mother.
catherine chuckled with a single head shake, "yeah, that's checks out."
paige's nose scrunched at what she assumed was the woman teasing her, looking over at her with an frown. "whatchu mean?"
"you're so spoiled." the brunette snorted.
paige's jaw dropped momentarily. she would've stopped dead in her tracks if she didn't have a small child to keep up with. "stop playin', i'm not spoiled."
catherine laughed at the teasing she was giving the blonde beside her. they both watched as madison ran up to the next house they passed by, stopping momentarily by their dark blue mailbox as she watched the little girl excitedly yell out, "trick or treat!"
the older couple who opened the door complimented the girls cat costume, madison not hesitating to remind them that she was actually a cheetah. catherine giggled at the interaction, paige continuing her conversation next to her.
"i think i became way more selfless after drew was born." the blonde explained, cheeks a shade of pink from the cold air. catherine has heard of drew many times before, she loved the way paige would talk about him. "and then after mads.."
catherine took her eyes off of madison, looking up at the side of paige's face with a warm smile. "whole view on life changed?"
paige nodded, looking down to catch catherine's expecting brown eyes, noticing how she shifted slightly under her gaze. "completely."
catherine's smile sent vibrations down the blondes spine, causing a warm sensation to errupt in her stomach and her hands to become sweaty. paige hadn't noticed, but she gulped rather obviously, the brunette raising an eyebrow at that with a smile paige couldn't quite place on her plump lips.
the two were soon interrupted from their moment by a tired madison walking down the drive way, whining. "i'm tired, mom."
paige noticed how she was dragging. catherine reached for the bucket filled to the brim with candy, grasping it firmly to carry for the girl. paige picked up her tired daughter, the three of them heading back down the opposite side of the road where their condo apartment would be waiting for them.
˚✧.*
the women managed to get madison down to sleep, trading off on who would bathe her and who would go through her candy for anything that seemed out of the ordinary.
after reasonable suggestions from a stern catherine, paige allowed madison two pieces of candy to have before bed. originally, she was just going to let the girl have at it. the brunette simply shook her head at the thought.
they both managed to get her to bed at a decent time, only a mere thirty minutes later than normal. though, catherine did most of the heavy lifting because paige wasn't reading madison her book the way catherine did. rolling her eyes and shaking her head, she passed the book to catherine. "that's all you."
the women both exited madison's now dark room, closing the door as quietly as possible. paige followed catherine to the kitchen, where her dark brown purse had been lingering since they all left for trick-or-treating that evening.
reading the digital numbers on the stove top that indicated what time it was, the brunette decided that 8:34 would be a good time to head home for the night. before all of the suspicious people and drunk drivers came out. remembering paige had mentioned catherine not needing to stay late since she had hired a babysitter for the night, she gathered her things, throwing her purse over her shoulder. though, she wouldn't even be able to say farewell to the blonde, the jingle of her keys enough to make paige speak up.
"woah, wait, where are you going?" paige asked, confused, as she walked up behind the brunette before her, stopping herself when she's only a couple of feet away from her.
catherine looked back at the woman, confusion too on her face before turning her body completely. "i'm.. going home?"
she was confused as to why paige was confused. they did every night. when paige returned home, catherine would then return to her home. her excuse was always her needing to check up on her cat.
though, this night was different. she technically hadn't been working for most of it, she just wanted to join the bueckers for some family friendly, halloween fun. and, of course, she wanted to do madison's cheetah makeup.
paige simply just shook her head, hands leaving her pockets as she gestured with her words, "no, we're going to that halloween party i told you about yesterday."
the woman blinked at paige, almost as if she had been speaking a foreign language. her brows furrowed, shaking her head profusely as she stumbled on her words. "wait- no- i didn't say i'd go."
"yes, you did." paige spoke matter of factly, catherine instantly recognizing the playful tone in the woman's voice, one she had been aware of since they met.
catherine scoffs, an amused smile playing on her plump lips, "i did not, fuck you." her voice was light and playful, a heavy contrast to her words.
"did too. you said you'd love to join me."
"liar, i said i'd think about it."
the blonde took a pause, eyeing catherine expectantly. "well.. have you thought about it?"
shaking her head, the brunette gathered her belongings once more. "goodnight, paige."
pushing past the determined woman, catherine attempted to make it to the door—her exit, her home free—but was unfortunately stopped by paige, grabbing her hand swiftly. "please, it'll be so much fun. you said it yourself, you have no friends."
catherine didn't have much time to dwell on the fact that her hand was now in paige's, too focused on the slight insult thrown her way. "i never said i didn't have any friends." she spoke with a scoff and an amused chuckle.
paige grimaced, realizing she had thought that all on her own. "my bad." the woman just rolled her eyes in response, paige's once playful act now more serious. "just come. i promise, it'll be fun."
shaking her head, catherine could feel herself being persuaded. "i.. i don't even have a costume." she found an excuse to throw.
however, the sound of madison's small voice interrupted the women once again that night. the small girl stood tired in the frame of the hallway, rubbing her eyes as she spoke innocently. "you can wear mine, cat."
paige let out a small laugh at this, both of them regretting being as loud as they were, disappointed they woke up the small girl.
the blonde turned to face the woman beside her, hands no longer intertwined. "no excuses. you're coming."
˚✧.
pulling into the unfamiliar lot, paige found the nearest spot to park her black car in, urging catherine to hurry up. the women had arrived at catherine's apartment complex. old looking, and a bit run down, paige took in the scenery. after paige had gotten ready at her place, she had managed to, by the grace of God, get catherine on board with her plan.
they made a quick stop at catherine's apartment so the girl could find a last minute costume to throw on.
unbuckling her seatbelt and hopping out of the vehicle, the brunette turned to paige, a wondering look present on her face. "you coming?"
walking up the outdoor concrete steps to the second floor on the complex, they reached the woman's humble abode. paige couldn't help but look past her shoulder every few seconds, the building emitting an eerie aura, one that would scare her endlessly
if she had to walk to her apartment alone at night.
finally, the front door, with the number 42 resting on it, had popped open a bit. the click of the lock turning brought paige a sense of comfort, excited to finally make it inside.
flipping the light on, paige noticed how catherine's apartment resembled nothing of the outside. yeah, the appliances were older, but she could tell the woman took pride in making her place a home.
the most comfortable looking sofa took up a good chunk of the room, large, light grey cushions looked like they had been worn in. the several blankets of the same green color palette decorated the couch nicely. a small, round table was found with four chairs surrounding it, though she could tell only one of them had been used extensively.
catherine walked about the place casually, opposite from paige's hesitant wandering.
"cute place."
catherine recognized her tone as a genuine one, looking past her shoulder momentarily to shoot the woman a just as genuine grin. "thanks." she spoke, her words like honey. she tossed her purse onto her small kitchen counter, "you can get comfy. might be here for a while."
paige hoped they wouldn't be as long as the woman promised. it was one thing to be fashionably late, but they were already pushing it by an hour.
thirty minutes passed, and paige was becoming a bit anxious by how late they would now be. "yo, cat," the woman called, getting a simple 'hmm' in response. standing up from the comfortable cushion, she wanders deeper into the small apartment to find where catherine had been. "we gotta get going."
she turned into a small bathroom, and she had realized how different her and catherine lived. her bathroom was way more decorated than paige's could've ever been. she liked the smell of perfume and vanilla soap that lingered in the air. looking at catherine through the mirror, she noticed the simple cat makeup she had done. she also noticed the stack of folded clothes sitting on her toilet lit, cat ears laying comfortably on top.
"you can't beg me to come to this party with you last minute, and then rush me." the woman spoke simply without missing a beat, somehow staying focused on her costume makeup.
paige went to grab the pile of clothes resting on the toilet lit, holding them firm in her hands. "just finish getting ready in the car, it's like fifteen minutes away."
catherine scoffed, "i can't do my makeup in the car."
"try your best." paige sassed before exiting the bathroom. a few moment passed before catherine heard the sound of her front door closing, indicating paige had indeed left to her car. with catherine's costume in hand.
sighing with an eye roll, catherine muttered some spanish insults to herself before gathering her makeup necessities into the small, black, makeup stained pouch.
though she was irritated with all of the bumps and sharp turns, catherine managed to finish her makeup pretty well. now, she had to figure out how she was supposed to change her clothes in this moving vehicle comfortably and without showing too much to the woman beside her.
"paige, i don't know any of them, though... i haven't been to a party like that in years." the woman pleaded, continuing on with their previous conversation as she slipped her jeans down her legs.
to say paige was using all of her strength to not look over at catherine an unhealthy amount was an understatement. if there wasn't a road that she had to pay attention to, she would've been staring.
shaking her head, disagreeing with the brunettes worries, "you were literally a bartender. for, like, three years." paige responded.
catherine sighed, bending over slightly to find her bottoms in the pile of clothes that sat on the floor of paige's car. "it's different when i'm working. i go on autopilot."
"just relax."
"wish it was that simple." the woman responded without missing a beat, anxiety filling her chest.
her hands soon find the hems of her chunky, dark green sweater, swiftly pulling it over her head.
this time, paige really couldn't help the way her eyes shifted from the dark road to the woman beside her several times. though she couldn't stare for long, she took note of the very plain and simple black bra catherine had been sporting. though there wasn't anything special about the garment itself, the woman just could help but want to look. she took note of her smooth and tan stomach. she has seen it many times when catherine would wear small shirts, but she'd never seen it in such an intimate manner.
clearing her throat, the blonde hoped the saliva would return to her now dry mouth soon. "you're gonna get along with everyone. promise."
deep down, catherine was mainly scared of partying with paige like that. though she had already accepted the fact that paige was more her friend than she would ever be her boss, it was still nerve wrecking to hang with her in such a manner. this was a territory they had yet to enter. and she wasn't sure why it made her so insanely nervous.
˚✧.*
catherine walked mere inches behind paige as they walked up the steps to the location of the halloween party. a small home, but a house nonetheless. she didn't try to walk past or next to paige, her anxiety more prominent than ever. her heels of choice allowed her to be almost the same height as the woman before her, something she wasn't sure she liked or not.
opening the door casually, paige stepped in. catherine was only a few seconds before her, stepping in the place as paige closed the door behind the pair. looking around, she noticed the orange and purple lights emitting from several corners of the room, a few gory decorations here and there. she noticed the small home wasn't terribly crowded, groups of adults scattered around the main areas. however, the sounds of cheering and miscellaneous greetings would've convinced her the house was filled to the brim had she been blindfolded.
the woman recognized that they were all excited because of the blonde woman before her, a few starting to chant, "party p! party p!" a phrase catherine was almost sure she's heard before.
catherine wanted to curse herself from how shy she was being in this moment. this was so out of character from who she once was, who she wanted to be.
not daring to leave paige's side, she awkwardly smiled at the room, her eyes finding paige, awaiting their next step. she prayed to every higher being that she wouldn't lose paige in the crowd tonight. soon, she was filled with regret at the realization of loud, rap music blasting throughout the home. i should've just went home.
"aye, party p!"
a familiar voice interrupted catherine's overthinking, looking over to meet the friendly face of kk arnold. she watched as the women greeted each other excitedly, hands coming together and pulling each other in for a small hug. however, kk's attention was soon taken up by the women they had all been asking to meet properly for almost two months now.
"oh, my gosh!" the woman cheered, excitedly, pulling away from paige. "catherine! hey girl!"
catherine smiled, nodding a bit shyly at kk's overwhelming kind expression, acting way different than the first time she had met the woman. "hi, kk." she spoke softly, but loud enough for the woman to hear her over the loud music, giving her a sweet smile.
kk stepped back from catherine, looking her over momentarily as she took in her costume of choice. "oh, my gosh." she spoke, seriously before returning to her cheery self. "cat as a cat!"
this allowed catherine to let out a genuine laugh at the slightly younger woman's excitement.
kk takes the initiative to wrap an arm around catherine's shoulder, turning the both of them to face the connected living room and kitchen full of young adults. "yo, everybody." she called out, somehow speaking over the loud music successfully to grab the party's attention. "this our girl cat, and she's super chill, so be friendly."
most of the room say a collective hi or hey to catherine, causing the woman to grow a bit embarrassed, small shades of red rising to her cheeks.
paige just leaned down ever so slightly to speak to the girl over the music, her mouth landing only inches from her sensitive ears, a smug tone coating her words. "told you you'd get along with everyone."
catherine just rolled her eyes to the blonde as kk dragged her to the kitchen. she noticed how the island in the kitchen was surrounded by familiar, tall women. she assumed they were paige's teammates, all cheering when they saw the three women walk over.
they were much friendlier than catherine had imagined, all of them instantly to the woman like white on rice. they were desperate to get to know her, and were so excited she had finally made it to a party.
kk interrupted the small talk momentarily, begging catherine for drink of choice to grab her. "umm..." the woman spoke, her voice loud as she attempted to talk over the music. "i'm-i'm not sure, i'm more of a wine drinker."
some of the women couldn't help but snort at that response, teasing the woman playfully as they normally did with their friends. "girl, please. we've got two types of tequila and some juice, that's it." azzi joked through exaggerated laughs, her palms resting on the counter top.
"ain't no way you're a bartender and your drink of choice is nasty ass, plain ass wine." ice furrowed her brows, an amused smile on the face.
"that just aged you by like ten years, babe." azzi agreed.
catherine shrugged with a shy smile, "i like how it tastes!"
paige's nose scrunched at the thought of wine on her tongue, gagging at the thought. "eugh, gross."
"you're all such babies." catherine spoke up for herself, becoming more comfortable around the group of women by the second. "here, i'll make something crazy."
catherine began looking around the random kitchen, peering her head into a few of the white cabinets, grabbing ingredients the women would have never thought to add to their drinks. pouring and mixing the drink the women would have called random, catherine presents her craft in a blue solo cup, handing it to paige.
"try it." the brunette instructs, urging the woman to take a sip. "tell me how it tastes."
paige was a sucker for a challenge, but she did hesitate at this. bringing the blue cup to her lips, she braced herself for the bitter taste of alcohol, not missing how much she saw catherine pour into the mix. however, she was stunned when she tasted the opposite. her face didn't even contort at the singular sip, eyes widening in shock. "it literally tastes like juice."
most of the women gasped, just as shocked as the blonde. "gimme that," kk demanded, taking the plastic cup out of paige's hands, sniffing it for a few seconds before bringing it up to her lips. taking a swig, her expression mimicked the one of her friend beside her. "damn, kitty cat, okay!"
taking the drink out of kk's hands, catherine went to sip on the alcoholic beverage, enjoying the sweet tastes of strawberry and raspberry. all of the women bang to beg the brunette to make them drinks, her just simply shooing everyone off. "nah, nah," she waved them off as she took a sip, "you can't make fun of me and then ask for a favor." she jokes with the group.
as the party continued, catherine fell deeper and deeper into the night. she was feeling more and more loose by the minute. the woman was just barely finishing the drink she had made earlier in the night, and she already felt amazing. she hadn't even realized she was beginning to socialize with random people, having lost paige to the crowd a long time ago.
the woman began mindlessly dancing to the mix of rap and r&b music that floated throughout the home, making friends with some girls she had met only minute prior and some of the women belonging to the uconn women's basketball team.
catherine was enjoying herself way than she had anticipated, and she was becoming quick friends with the girls paige would call her family.
˚✧.*
the tipsy blonde rummaged through the second drawer in her tall, black dresser, looking for something comfortable to wear. she watched as her hand flipped through her choice of sweatpants through her drunk eyes, not sure which pair of grey ones to wear.
"paige, just pick one." a sassy voice interrupted the woman's decision making, paige turning to meet eyes with a just as drunk catherine. the brunette sat still in the doorframe of paige's bedroom, leaning against the white wall trimmings, a tired expression on her face.
paige held a hand up at the woman, almost shooing her off as she decided in deep thought which ones she's wanted. finally, she grabbed two pairs off the top, not hesitating to toss one to the impatient woman eyeing her down just mere feet away.
surprisingly, catherine caught the sweatpants with ease, turning away and making her way down the quiet, dim hallway.
the two woman had just returned home from the halloween party, the time reading 1:47 a.m. on their almost dead phones. though they weren't exactly drunk out of their minds anymore, both chugging great sums of water before their decided to call it a night, they were both definitely still feeling pretty nice.
when they arrived home, paige insisted that catherine stayed the night due to their lack of soberness. she even decided to give up her bed tonight, assuring the woman that it was totally okay.
catherine began the attempt to take her small, black top off, legs still wobbling to the living room down the hallway. yanking it off of her head, she finally found the couch, looking for the shirt paige had also lended her for the night. much different style than she would've worn, but it would suffice for the night.
after pulling the dark pink shirt over her head, she pulled her tight, black bottoms down her smooth, tan legs, desperate to get out of the uncomfortable fabric.
looking up at the low sound of footsteps approaching, catherine caught the dazed eyes of paige. giving her a single nod and a quick grin, she returned to shimmying out of the pants. she would've never thought that changing in front of paige would be weird. she always changed in front of her friends, or just other girls in general. and knowing paige probably normally did the same, being at basketball practice everyday, she didn't even think twice about it. however, finally recognizing the distant look in paige's eyes, one she was unsure if the blonde was purposefully trying to communicate, it made her nervous. the light red heat rose to her cheeks in an instant, taking her lingering gaze away from the intimidating and intimate one paige had been staring her down with.
maybe paige noticed the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room, or the way catherine looked away from their intimate stare, but she cleared her throat, muttering a quick, "sorry."
shuffling her way to the kitchen in an outfit extremely similar to catherine's, she reached into her stainless steel fridge, grabbing two cold water bottles. she knew these would either be the most refreshing thing in the world, or give them immense headaches.
at the sound of a body stumbling onto the grey couch in her living room, paige turned to find catherine sitting on the sofa, legs still bare from where she could see and an exhausted pout on her face.
the brunette let her hands come up to her face, the alcohol remnants in her system doing the opposite effect of what it normally did: make her sensitive. sighing, she began calling out for paige through her hands, her words slightly muffled. "can you help me?"
paige couldn't help but snort to herself as she rounded the small kitchen island to reveal catherine sitting still on the couch, her tight black pants resting just below her knees, bunched up. catherine's hands fell from her face at the sound of paige's laughs, shooting her the most offended glare. "i don't wanna hear it."
paige continued laughing, the more she stared, the funnier it got. dropping the water bottles onto the spot on the couch next to the frustrated woman, the blonde began the fight that was getting these pants off.
it didn't help that paige was as gone as catherine was, and the added weakness from her immense laughter made it that much harder. catherine couldn't help but start laughing as well, having to remind herself mentally to keep it down since madison was just a wall away.
finally pulling the black bottoms off completely, both of the women huff, paige tossing the bunched clothing onto the floor next to the brunette, slumping into the empty spot next to her.
the two women sat on the grey couch, in comforting silence as their laughs died off. the blondes clothed legs were spread as her feet rested comfortably on the floor, shoulder length apart, her arms resting across her stomach.
catherine's exposed legs were pulled onto the soft couch, almost having
forgotten about the grey sweats waiting for her. knees tucked under her as her body faced paige's, eyeing the woman.
paige let a couple more seconds of silence pass over, contemplating if she wanted to pry with the amount of questions lingering in her head. "so.. why didn't you move to boston with your mom?"
the brunette inhaled sharply, paige noticing. "my funky ex—that's why."
paige laughed a bit, looking to the side to meet catherine's eyes momentarily. "you and this ex of yours." she shook her head playfully. "i need to know what happened."
catherine shook her head back, looking down at her smooth legs. "it's really dumb."
"can't be as dumb as mine." paige responded, assurance and comfort in her voice.
catherine's brows furrowed in momentary confusion before realizing what paige had been alluding to. "madison's dad?"
the blonde simply nodded, cringing at just the thought. she hardly talked about the subject. she never really told anyone about him. "alex. he was just so... weird."
"weird?"
"yeah, bro, like.." the woman trailed off, trying to gather her thoughts. "we met my junior year, and he was a senior. met him after our rivalry game against his school—he was on the boys basketball team."
catherine listened intently to the woman, nodding at her words, sort of smiling at the thought of younger paige.
"and, we were just friends for a while. and then one day, like, a few months later, he asked me out. and i wasn't even sure if i, y'know.." paige trailed off, unsure of how to speak her next words. though it wasn't exactly a secret, she rarely ever said it out loud. she was still working on that part. however, catherine's comforting presence and sweet voice would always break through to her.
"what?" the brunettes sweet voice lingered throughout paige's head, causing her to look over and catch her eyes.
"liked guys." the woman confessed, noticing how catherine's expression didn't even change. all the information did was elicit a simple nod from her. "but, uh, i still went out with him. just to see—guys never really asked me out in school, either. i was taller than a lot of them for a while, i think that's why."
catherine laughed genuinely at the small joke paige had slipped into what the woman would assume to be a sad story.
laughing a bit too, paige relished in the way she made catherine's giggle. "and, uh, i went out with him once.. and, y'know, i did like him. i wasn't, like, in love, though." the blonde shook her head, her words a bit more sadder than the tone she was just speaking with. "i'm not sure why i slept with him."
talking about her story would usually bring out old feelings, the stinging feeling in her nose a sign that she was about to cry. however, the woman opted to simply just sniffle with a head shake, rubbing her nose with the back of her hand to dismiss the feeling, not exactly wanting to break down in front of her friend. "it was short lived, though. he got really weird and quiet with me until we just stopped talking altogether."
the woman beside her just simple shook her head, a sour expression on her face, understanding exactly what happened now. "asshole." catherine muttered.
paige just shrugged, "i thought so, too. but, in a way, i'm grateful.. i would've never had maddie."
catherine half nodded, unsure if she would've been as grateful for the situation as paige was. then again, she wasn't a mom. sighing, the woman shrugged, simply responding with, "god's timing."
"that's what i say." the sniffling blonde agreed, "i think if i were to get pregnant later on, it wouldn't be mads."
the brunette nodded understandingly, hesitant to ask her next question. though she did it anyway. "does he know about her?"
paige was quick with her response, "yeah, he does. he's never met her, though." she watched as her friends eyes bulged, almost forgetting this was catherine's first time hearing this story. to be fair, it was paige's first time telling anyone in a while. "last i heard, he was in.. utah? but, he pays what he owes, and we don't talk."
catherine sat there, eyes full of sadness for the woman she has grown extremely fond of. she let a hand come up to her friends arm, a gesture paige had found to be one catherine did to comfort her, unsure if hugging was something they did or not. they never have, and she was sure today wouldn't be the start.
paige noticed, not sure if she liked all of the attention on her in this fashion. clearing her throat to break the tension, she looks at catherine expectantly. "what about you?"
"what about me?"
"shitty exes? deadbeats? thought you were in love?" the blonde explained.
catherine chuckled, her turn to look away from the woman nervously. "all of the above."
paige's thoughts bypassed the rest of her response, only highlighting the most important information to her in that moment. "you thought you were in love?"
"mhm." catherine hummed in response, nodding simply.
paige shrugs, looking away, straight ahead at the dark tv that rested on the light wall. "everyone says that they are."
"i was, though." the brunette retaliated, "i was 'bouta marry him."
the blonde did a double take. that was definitely not what she was expecting catherine to say. "funky ex? you were gonna marry him?"
"swear." catherine answered to paige's disbelief, a small grin playing on her lips at the woman's shock. "i met chris—"
"chris?" paige interrupted, a scoff playing on her words. "he already sounds like a dick."
catherine shook her head, expecting this kind of attitude and reaction from paige as she told her story. "shut up, paige." the woman spoke through laughs, a hand coming up to rub her temple. simple actions and reactions like this truly showed catherine that both paige and madison were related.
"my bad, my bad. continue."
"chris and i, we met right before the end of senior year," the brunette started, shifting in her seat uncomfortably, attempting to stall the story as much as possible. like paige, she hardly ever told anyone about this time of her life. "and things moved so fast. we started dating and moved in together the summer after graduation."
"oh, shit." was all the blonde could respond with.
"mhm. and then, a year in, he proposed.. and everything was great, it really was." catherine spoke, reminiscing. "we were, y'know, broke as shit, but.. i loved being broke with him." the woman looked down at her fiddling hands, taking a decently long pause. this part for the story always sends her emotional out of whack. "then, like a week before the wedding, i found out he was cheating on me." her voice was small but her words held so much.
paige's eyes softened, heart tugging at the thought of catherine hurting so deeply. "cat.." her voice mimicked catherine's, small and sad.
the brunette sniffled, her story bringing her to tears as well. "the shittiest part was," the woman took a pause, eyes looking up to find the ceiling, a trick that would allow her to keep from letting her tears fall. "i was offered a scholarship to stanford—for soccer.. and i stayed here. to be with him." catherine's techniques to avoid crying began to fail, a few tears falling, her voice pitchy and cracking. "for nothing."
"hey," immediately, paige was sitting up in her spot on the couch. she felt horrible for asking catherine to tell her. to relive those old feelings. "fuck, i'm sorry—"
catherine was quick to shake her head, the back of her hand going to wipe the few stray tears as she sniffled. "oh, my gosh, don't be." she assured, looking to find her cheery demeanor one more, "it's so dumb." the woman started chuckling through her tears, "i'm only crying because i'm drunk."
paige couldn't help but let out small laughs at this as well, "so, that's why you didn't go to boston? and stopped playing soccer?"
the teary eyed woman simply just nodded in response, still pawing at her cheeks. the blonde sighed for the woman beside her, her large hand falling to catherine's exposed thigh naturally, her attempt to comfort the woman.
"i know your story ended kinda fucked up, but.." paige trailed off momentarily, waiting to find the woman's eyes. catherine did eventually look up to meet paiges crystal eyes, the feeling of paige's warm hand on her thigh sending shivers all down her body. "i'm happy you stayed."
catherine gave paige a sweet smile, her lips plump and her eyes soft. she shifted in her position slightly, hoping she wouldn't lose paige's touch in the process. scooting a bit closer, she leaned in to rest her head on the blonde's shoulder. catherine allowed her head to rub against the woman's shoulder to find the spot that was most comfortable for her. "yeah, i'm kinda happy too."
all she could feel in response was the feeling of paige's head resting against her own.

Im in love with your senku x reader writings
They are absolutely adorable🥺
Ive been sick for a whole week now and i still feel terrible
It made me wonder how Senku would act with reader being sick and bedridden?
And Senku is just near her side, watching over her?🥺
Maybe y/n collapses during all the hard work in the stone world, and turns out having a strong fever?
Watching her fall asleep, keeping her tucked in, handing her water etc
I think they would be the absolute cutest 🥺🥺
thank you so much for your request and patience! i hope you were able to recover quickly (me and my horrid timing…)!
--! warnings: sickness, anxiety(?)
--> wc: 1k
The shift from living in an advanced civilization to the stone age was massive and required a lot of adjusting.
You were fortunate enough to exist in a time where everything you could ever want and need was easily accessible, from all the knowledge in the world at your fingertips to all sorts of items at your disposal. All your basic necessities could be easily met with a short walk to the supermarket.
So when all of that turned upside down, it was a challenge to keep up.
The petrification took a large toll on you when you awoke from your lengthy slumber. You were powerless to save the people you loved and who brought you comfort. Most of your time was spent attempting to accommodate your new living circumstances, physically and mentally.
Anxiety and panic was a constant in the back of your mind with so much unknown about the potential attack on mankind, and you were unable to soothe yourself with the hobbies you once enjoyed. Your physical health also suffered. Your diet had changed drastically, you were forced to take on a lot of labor in order to stay alive.
But throughout it all, Senku made adjusting easier by helping you learn everything you needed to know to help you survive in your new environment. The two of you worked together to hunt, build shelter and tools and fashion clothing. Senku’s determination and upbeatness despite such a traumatic life altering event helped keep you sane. You didn’t need to strain yourself as much when Taiju and Yuzuriha later joined the group either, especially with Taiju’s endless stamina.
When you and Senku split from your friends in order to establish alliances with other potential survivors, you came along a small village that also helped in terms of labor. You befriended and recruited many strong and resourceful people to help the both of you with your mission. Still, you were doing a lot. Your body didn’t have the time to gradually adjust to your new lifestyle.
For a while, you were able to push through. For the sake of your survival, work took priority. But eventually, sometime after Ruri was cured, you couldn’t keep hitting ignore on your exhaustion, and eventually you felt the consequences of this action catch up to you.
It seemed that there was always something to do in Ishigami Village, which was unsurprising considering your circumstances. It was a particularly harsh sunny day, the sun beating down at the villagers who tried, futilely, to rid themselves of the discomfort the sun’s glare brought them.
“Particularly hot out today, huh, Senku?” Gen panted out from beside his scientist friend, the two both sharing uncomfortable looks on their faces.
“It hasn’t been this hot in a while! We should make sure the children and elderly are alright.” Kohaku commented upon overhearing, putting a hand over her eyes to shield the sun’s rays and survey the villagers. Senku mimicked her not far away.
“We won’t get much work done under these conditions. We should probably-” Senku had started, but a thud interrupted his train of thought. Everyone turned toward the sound to find you had collapsed and lied unconscious on the ground.
Immediately your friends were at your side, the strongest villagers, Kohaku and Magma, carrying you into one of the huts in the village. After Senku assessed you, he realized to his horror that you had come down with a strong fever. In the modern world, a cold was nothing to stress over, especially at your age. But with the change in…everything, it was a lot more concerning, especially since Ruri had almost died of pneumonia.
Luckily, the Kingdom of Science’s sulfa drug was successful, but the downside was that it needed time to create again. In the meantime, your friends did everything they could to accommodate your sickness, Senku being at the forefront of it all.
Kohaku delivered spring water like she did in order to help with Ruri’s sickness, and Chrome, along with Suika and other villagers, would collect various supplies Senku advised him of to help with your recovery- food, materials for medical tools and the like. Senku stayed by your side throughout it all, making sure to assess you regularly and work to get the panacea done as soon as possible.
It was uncomfortable enough being sick in the modern world, but with the amount of pain you were in from your fever along with not being able to enjoy your old comforts, the fever took a higher toll on you than expected.
Senku stayed by your side to soothe you the best ways he knew how. He used his knowledge of science to create whatever forms of entertainment he could, and having another person from your time was also a comfort. He did his best to make you laugh and help keep you out of your panicked mindset.
At the peak of your illness, and when your anxiety was at its highest, Senku stayed by your side and watched over you until you fell asleep, sometimes lingering in the house or setting up his own sleeping bag beside. He convinced himself it was for your peace of mind, but deep down, being near you and able to quickly respond to anything alarming also helped put his heart and mind at ease.
“You’ll be okay, Y/N. You’ll recover from this, I’m ten billion percent certain of it. Get your rest.” He’d tell you with all the confidence in the world, and it was hard not to believe him when his words were so firm and full of certainty.
Senku would lean over and tuck you in, insisting that it was important that you kept yourself warm. He helped you drink water when you were too weak to do so yourself, and encouraged you to sleep a lot in between meals.
Your sickness put you out of commission for work for a while before the medicine was finished, and even after taking the medicine, your body still needed to adjust after having been used to more modern ones.
Eventually your fever symptoms slowly started to lessen, and through the hot spring water, food and other things, along with Senku’s assessments of your condition, you were back on your feet feeling reborn. Senku made sure to continue monitoring you from time to time, and told you to come to him if you were ever feeling down again, both physically and mentally (because as much as you wanted to avoid worrying him, his attentive eye and big heart always manage to see through you).

~VISITING CHRIS MCLEAN IN JAIL~
(Months in his sentence.)
It was quite scary, walking down the aisle of inmates. You made sure to stick close to the guard escorting you to Chris’ cell. The place reeked of alcohol and sweaty bodies, flaming your nostrils, making you solely rely on your mouth for breathing. So much rubbish was thrown between floors, loud chattering from other prisoners bursted the air. Walking down, you heard too many lewd comments passing about you.
Yikes...
Further down, you could recognise Chris’ laughter.
”How has he been doing?”
The guard thought it better to show you.
There he was. Your favourite man in tangerine.
Rather than metal bars, he was behind transparency. Isolation?...
God, he was meant to be a prisoner, not have his ravishing lifestyle still concur because he happened to have money. His wealth was as self absorbed as he was, needing to radiate everywhere, even in a time where it was simply not enough to save him. In comparison to the single bed and toilet most imprisoned busybodies were limited to, for starters, there on his wall was four portraits, two of them being of the island, one being himself, the other one being the wedding day. That may have been the most selfless act he’s done yet. We then have his toy statues of himself, you and Chef on his shelf, too self promoting to be part of the utilities of the prison...and two rolls of toilet paper. Some prisoners are lucky to even get one.
He was sitting at the edge of his flat bed, looking shallow, but when he saw you, oh man, did he get excited.
”(Y/N)!” He yelled, jumping up and onto the glass that separated you. His hands pressed onto the door and saliva already slipped out his mouth at the sight of you,”(Y/N)... You...You actually came...to see me!”
”Hey Chris...” it was so uncanny to see him without that necklace,“How are you? I have a present for you!” you marginally lift the sealed box to him... Well, half sealed since it had to be checked first. The look on those officers’ faces... You would never forget it. It was bizarre, yes, but it was allowed.
”Presents!” his excitement overflown,“You know I love presents, nothing without them! Give me, give me, give me!”
”Uh...” you saw the slot was too small for your box.
“What’s the matter? Can’t find the right pair?”
The guard that assisted you kindly took the gift and handed it to him via cautiously opening the door. Chris didn’t have any intention to assault anyone, for his mind was too preoccupied with glee as he hurriedly went to open it, only to be greeted by anarchy.
”Larry?”
”Yeah...” you beam sadly, catching sight of Larry’s green head, peering curiously out from the box,“They were able to make him shrink and I knew you were lonely in here. I would visit you everyday if I could, but the rules state that if I did, it could mean your sentence would have to double.”
“Bummer. Thooough I wouldn’t wanna stay in here any longer than I need to! For whatever stupid reason. Now that I have my best friend in the whole world! Even though I told you to take care of him...” there he goes with that glare.
Not even a damn thank you,”Sorry Chris... But it’s better I give him back to you before the environment protection crew cleansed him too much. And I don’t know how I could take care of Larry.... Besides, he would be more happy with you than with me.”
”You’re forgiven, my absolute darling!” He set Larry down on his table before returning back to the door,”Sooo, what’s new with you? It feels like it’s been ages since we had any quality time together!”
“Erm... I’ve been better...” doubt weighed your words; it was hard to keep eye contact with your husband when his eyes were endlessly wide. Not knowing what else to do, you stupidly return the question.
“Good, good...” he hums, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the glass,“How’s Chef? Dead or something?”
“Chris!” You exclaim. Your husband always had some sadism, but most of the time, it was out of humour. Disturbingly, it was almost like Chef’s death was something he wanted,”How could you suggest something so horrible so casually? Especially on your friend?”
He shrugged,”What can I say? He hasn’t come see me in a while. Or maybe he has, but I just can’t see him because he’s like a ghost. Do you reckon he could float through this glass like how they do in the movies?”
“No... Thankfully, not.” you decide to leave out Chef rejecting your offer to accompany you in visiting Chris that day,“Chef’s been...busy.”
“Busy? Busy dying?” you hysterically shake your head,“Huh...” his eyes trail off to the side, slightly relaxing,“Have you ever realised that we slowly die everyday?”
You shudder. Death was such a lighthouse for Chris to ingest. Here though? Where everyday was the same thing, with a mere minute feeling like an hour? You knew this couldn’t be good for him,“Stop talking like that... You know that’s not how you really feel.”
He raises an eyebrow,“Oh, but what if it is? I no longer fear the deaths of the people I supposedly care about.”
“Is that right?” Supposedly? You were heartbroken.
“Oh! But I still love you. A lotttttt. Trust me!” His sight quickly returns back to you, springing a large smile on his face. There was something strange about it, but you fought that thought by giving a reciprocal.
“I...love you too.” why was it so hard to say it back?
“Really? Really... Really!” He places his hands whole back on the glass, going completely quiet as he stared at you. Just staring. You would’ve thought he spaced out, but his eyes were well aware of your being, standing before him, patient. Eventually, he starts speaking again with a soft tone,”Ohh...I can’t wait...to sleep in my own cottage again with you...to touch your hair...to touch you...”
Don’t dream about it so soon...,“Me too Chris... I... The bed feels so empty without you.”
“I have a solution for that!” he chimes. Whenever Chris is this inspired, you know it’s not gonna be nice,“Why don’t you do something unreasonable and end up in here with me? After all, I did nothing wrong to be here! I blame all those people who can’t take a joke nor know how to mind their business! All my accusers were nothing but absurd! It’s not my fault the island ended up the way it did! Besides, it was totally worth the ratings! Genius, am I right?”
Still thinking like a host, are we Chris?,“I-I’m good... I don’t think they would let us be bunkmates anyway, especially if you’re in...solitary confinement.”
“Oh yeah? Even if I threw up a thousand big ones for them?“ he scoffs,“Suit yourself. I guess I’m gonna have to continue pretending that my pillow is you. Your fault too.”
“What...” he’s not joking as well. That struck a nerve,“How is it my fault you chose to sell the island to that toxic waste company?”
“Come on!” his face stretches like it’s common sense,“No one could have expected something like that to happen! It was a complete fluke! No one can be blamed for that, especially not me!”
Of course he was going to make himself the victim: he’s worn nothing but orange for the past few months, couldn’t live by his own agenda and was constantly surrounded by people. Poor little Christian, the tragedy king, hasn’t life been hard on him,“That’s the thing though, isn’t it, Chris? The island was your stewardship and it was your decision to sell it to them. The only person to blame is-“
With the slam of his hand, a wobbly echo of glass emits through your body, leaving your words untied,“Don’t you scold me! You‘re the one that came to visit me, and I know I didn’t sign up to hear you forcing the blame on me for something that was out of my hands! It was out of my estimations, okay? Ugh!”
It took a lot to keep it together. This is exactly why you could never communicate properly with him. Why couldn’t he just slim his ego and accept that jail was his fault for once?! No one else was going to serve jail for him, maybe Chef was right in avoiding Chris,“Fine whatever, have it your way.” you glance down at your wrist, where the watch Chris asked you to keep safe for him buckled,“It seems that my visiting time is up anyway.”
“Aw, seriously? You just got here!” he huffs, magically getting over the heat of the argument,“Could you promise to bring some chocolate next time you visit? It'd be a reaaaaaaally great birthday gift.”
That’s right, it is coming up soon. You nod,“I’ll have to make sure it’s fine with the police officers first, but I’m sure they’ll allow it.”
He’s certain of it,"Course it'll be! They'd allow me to keep portraits in here, but not chocolate? Barbaric!" Certainty. His hamartia.
“Hah, that’s true.” first time in ages you both found something to agree on,“Well... Take care, Chris. I’ll be on my way now.” You turn on your heel and would have accelerated, had it not been for the man in question’s interesting choice of parting words.
“No kiss? Boooooo.”
You twirl back around, trying to figure out the best way to break it down to him,“We... We can’t-“
A disgusted sigh of his plagues your sentence,“I’m not a bird, (Y/N). Tweet tweet! I can tell there’s glass here. Erm...” he was in the spotlight of improvising, which he’s lived through dozens of times,“Let's do this..." he puts his fingers up to his lips and on removal, he whistled an exhale.
On cue, you hold up a hand and clench it like you had caught it, and done the same. Chris shook from exultation on process, the orange clothing his body clothing his mind in that moment.
"Awesome! See, she still does love me! (Y/N) could never abandon me." for a minute, his voice swooned with profound romance that you founded with him once upon a time. He turns away to the side and smiles, the lovey dovey flying away,"What will happen when our hostess comes next? Will I still be behind bars? Will I get to eat chocolate bars? All the answers soon to be revealed, right here on Total...Drama...Island!”
You take that as your cue to leave. He had gone to another world. Man made. Chris had never done stuff like that before...
"Hey kitty, what about my kiss? Big Randy over here would like one too." Randy or one of the other prisoners tried coaxing you a few steps in on your exit of the institution of criminals, lust painted all over his oily face.
"Eugh." you stick a finger to your gagging mouth to the stranger prisoner's distaste.
The inhale of the outside air was all the cure you needed from the red-blooded fumes of that place.
Talking to the wall... Would it really be okay to let Chris back on the streets like that? Was prison even a good place for rehabilitation? On one hand, yes, it was about time Chris had felt the weight of his crimes, but on the other hand, was forcing it down his throat the best way to get him to willingly amend?
You won’t be surprised if after his release, he went on to joyfully add onto his record, which was kind of unfortunate- he was your husband.
And you want him to come home.

(The country reader comes from is not named so anyone can read this)
-Moving from your home country to Japan was certainly a nerve wracking experience, especially since you’d be attending your last year of grade school amongst new people in an unfamiliar place, in a language you aren’t proficient in. After a few weeks of loneliness you decide that you won’t sit still and be a loner the whole school year.
-You thought that getting involved in something, a club, and team, anything with other people might help you make a couple friends might be good for you, and you heard a pretty cute guy in your bio class talk about how the men’s volleyball team could use a second manager, so you decide to apply for the position
-When you go into the gym to meet the team for the first time, you’re immediately bombarded by two very eager second years and and a short red headed first year who were very curious as to who you were (the school doesn’t get students from other countries often so they were curious about you)
-Suga takes pity on you and puts the team to practice while you, Daichi, Kiyoko, Ukai and Takeda go over your new duties as a manager with you, and you eventually start your time as Karasunos manager
-The first few weeks are pretty eventful for you, you’re just getting to know the ropes of the job and also getting to know everybody on the team. It doesn’t help that there was some drama between some of the team members and the former team ace (or the fact that after it was all said and done he joined the team again), and it certainly didn’t help that you had to train another new manger when your still new yourself (you don’t blame Yachi though, it’s not her fault, and besides, she’s a very sweet kid).
-It was hard adjusting to the club environment at first, but Kiyoko made sure to introduce you properly to everyone, which is how you ended up talking to the 3rd years more. As much as you both love the 1st and 2nd year students, you need to make friends in your own grade
-Kiyoko begins a habit of starting hangouts for just the 3rd years, nothing big, just a few hours hanging out at a cafe or someone’s house. That’s primarily how you got to know the three third year boys, through these hangouts. It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other better in a relaxed setting
- I imagine the three were already together before they met you, so they’re all used to a polyamorous relationship by the time you came along. They never really thought that they would want to add another to their group, but then again, they didn’t know they would meet you
-Asahi probably fell first, the poor guy wears his heart on his sleeve so it’s pretty easy for him to fall for you. Suga and Daichi could see how enamored by you Asahi was, and after a little time you captured their hearts too.
-They all want to know more about your home country and culture, but no one asks more questions than Suga. He wants to know everything there is to know about your culture, your home, what living in your native country was like, what customs you have, what holidays you celebrate, everything! He’s a naturally curious guy and the other two are either too scared that they’ll bother you or worried they’ll ask something offensive
-Asahi does muster up the courage to ask you about any cultural clothing you might have, and if you’d say it’s ok to, he’d be more than happy to try and see if he can sew it himself. I can imagine him gifting you a handmade outfit if he manages to get the hang of making it for your birthday or some other holiday
-After awhile it’s painfully obvious to anyone with eyes that the trio is hardcore pining after you, it’s a wonder you don’t see it yourself! Sugar’s always trying to get your attention (much to the embarrassment of his boyfriends) Asahi’s stutter has magically appeared once again, and Daichi goes red any time you’re in close proximity to him. Honestly the whole teams just begging for them to ask you out at this point, it’s getting painful to watch
-The three have no idea how to ask you out, or if you’re even into poly relationships, so they settle for asking you to meet them at one of their houses so they can speak to you privately
-Daichi takes the lead, explaining to you how they’ve been in love with you for awhile and that they would really love to date you, but they all understand if you don’t like them or if you aren’t comfortable being in a poly relationship. They all kind of expect you to say no, simply because their relationship is very much outside the norm, but there’s still a little hope inside each of them that you’ll say yes
-When you do say yes, everyone is over the moon. Asahi nearly starts sobbing from joy and relief (he totally thought you were going to reject them), Suga practically tackles you in a hug, and Daichi let’s put a huge sigh of relief before prying Suga off of you. Prepare for a long night of cuddles because now that the boys have you, they’re determined to spend as much time with you as possible

Estrangement:
*This is a POV of you and Harry's daughter Kaitlin. Yn= you and ofc Harry is your husband. Mentions of mistreatment towards their child. Not physical abuse but emotional neglect and somewhat abuse I guess.*
The wind shoved up against my curtains and the open window that let out a surreal glimpse into the real world. The California cotton candy sunset flashed it's colors in the sky, as the darkness of the soon to come night sky would befall it all. There I laid in bed, on my laptop checking out the Instagram friends I had for over the 2 years since I finally decided to create an account. I never posted anything, but it was an escape from the inhabitable environment of home.
Ah to be the middle child-the second to the oldest that was adored and loved by all the family. That was Kimberly. Our parents started the trend of naming us all with the letter K. Kimberly, Kaitlin, Kylie, Kameron and Kristopher (My brothers) and youngest named Kira. All six of with the letter...K. Although despite my name with the familiar syllable...that still didn't make me fit in.
Kimberly had her honors, her trophies hung up as prized possessions for achievements inside and outside school, Kylie had her art that she drew, even having an art wall put into her bedroom because....why not? Then the twins had their sports, the athletic side that earned them several trophies and praise from mom and dad, and then there was Kira. The baby of the family...she didn't have anything except cuteness that came as a surprise to everyone when the twins turned 6. She didn't have to work hard for attention, it came to her whether she wanted it or not.
Then there was me. In everyone's shadow. I liked poetry...I wrote some whenever I could find inspiration...but that didn't matter to anyone. My parents could care less. Kira appreciated it, so I would always doll out time to write about a mystical pony in the sky or a rainbow spotted cheetah that ran on the stars nighttime dust just to have a moment with the little girl before her bedtime.
My hair abruptly blew from the evening breeze that signaled it's reign. I typed away on the keys of my stone colored laptop, hoping one of my friends was up to chat. It wasn't often this peaceful in the house besides my bedroom, where laughter filled the hallways or the downstairs, or screams and cries echoed throughout bedrooms, mostly by the screaming toddler that didn't want to go to bed while all her siblings stayed up into late hours. That's where I'd come in with a story that sent little Kira right to sleep, hugging her stuffed moon pillow with the cutest little innocent face on it. Mom and dad never appreciated my efforts in putting my sister, their child to sleep. Almost like I was the ghost haunting the house just doing random deeds that no one felt the need to acknowledge.
Except for Kira, I was alone. The earthy sky and the now booming stars showed as my nightly companions if I happened to be up into late hours like tonight.
No reply from the instagram friends. The internet people from behind a screen that could live a thousand miles away from the scorching California summer, that despite the burning temperatures, still managed to give that bohemian summertime aesthetic all year round. Fall was a favored season of mine mostly due to the summer's temper finally cooling down for the year where sweat jackets were all anyone needed to step a foot outside.
My brown strands that were mixed with a honey blonde, laid neatly on my shoulders as I contemplated going downstairs to grab a drink. Maybe I'll be able to strike up a conversation with Kimberly about what type of tricks I can use to get the professor to lighten my load in my assignments. I was just kidding myself....goody two shoes will run to mommy and daddy and spill the beans, leading to a stern lecture about being honest and doing what's required of me in all I do in school despite never having the help I needed.
But to my luck, school was almost over and soon I'll be able to apply for a job that will land me into a steady track of a good income. I can say that I did this all by myself. My dad. The college professor at one of the most prestigious schools in the country couldn't even lift a finger to help me with any work even when I've asked. Long nights spent at the library, studying through every English literature book I could find is what pushed me up to the top tier. My mom being no better was a nag. She nagged me about nothing being done right with my chores all because I was 'studying' too much and was actually talking about me wanting to drop out.
I pushed them all away and forged a path on my own with the help of ambition and black coffee on those all nighters. I decided against going downstairs and just focused on my poetry. Little footsteps crawled through the mellow lit hallway and a soft knocked appeared on my door.
I carefully tiptoed to the door and spotted my little sister, sucking her thumb and finally suckling out about how she wanted another story read. I rubbed my strained eyes with some upcoming dark circles growing under them like a raccoon and invited her in. She took a seat on my bed as I read to her from a book of my poems that I had made myself.
Kira giggled as I imitated the voices of the characters I had imagined for them. "And then the big horse said-"
"Kira what are you doing out of bed!?" Mom came in, eyes instantly reverting to me as if I had somehow forced Kira out of bed to listen to my somber poems filled with deep angst and bitterness that I dare not squawk out to dispassionate family. Not even Kira knows the depths of emptiness I feel from a day-to-day basis from the excruciating nonchalant parents I have that force me to swallow myself whole and shield myself yet at the same time whenever I can feel disapproval coming on strong. Only me, never Kim, Kam, Kris, Ky or Kir thank goodness. I couldn't bare my youngest sister going through the pains of not having someone. And when I'm gone, I dread to see just how much of that nightmare is true.
Mom swept Kira off the bed like dust being swept in a dustpan and sweetly carried her back into her bedroom. But not before letting me have it, like she saw me as some villain trying tear apart her family. "Kaitlin! You are not supposed to disturb your sister when she's sleeping! You know better!"
"It's okay mommy, I went into her room," Sweet Kira insisted. "It's okay honey, let's just get you back to bed." The woman's eyes diverted themselves back to me. This time with more coldness. "You stay in your room and be quiet. I don't want to hear a peep from you." She sneered. She whisked Kira away and that was that. I listened closely by the doorframe of my bedroom, only to hear exaggerated kisses coming from Kira's bedroom. A smile snuck itself onto my face somehow, maybe for the sake of Kira getting all the love she deserves.
Coldness covered my back like a blanket, as I could see mom leaving Kira's room. She stared at my room with a deep glare before continuing on downstairs. I quietly got up and went back to my bed, staring at the half read story that was written for Kira. My eyes gazed back to the stars that had now showed themselves with their yellow glares that shined down on my hazel eyes. One day....it'll all be over. I tucked myself into bed after doing a french braid and laid back in the purple and gray covers that kept me warm until dawn. My opened window still let in that summertime breeze that swished the sweat from my head and the tears from my eyes.
Then darkness. I was asleep.
I woke up to the sun glaring through my bedroom window, it's fumy glow rested on my face as nature's alarm clock. I rubbed my tired eyes to notice the window was still open from last night. The fresh morning dew air tickled my nose as it swirled around the sunlight sherbet sky. The curtains swung back and fourth to the rhythm of the wind that captured a cool breeze into my room that made it less sufferance than yesterday's furious heat that left everyone's tongues out panting like a dog.
I made my way downstairs, finally getting ahold of some orange juice before the breakfast rush came in. Peace and quiet, my personal serenity from the other seven residents living in the perfect big house on a white picket fence hill. I swallowed harshly at the thought and continued pouring my orange juice into a big glass cup with pretty little designs on it. I sat in the kitchen nook taking in the summer morning that allowed me my peace and happiness even if it was to be temporary.
I closed my eyes and let my mind take me into my safe space, my personal little bubble that kept me sane, happy and wanted. Bouncing on bubbles type of happy, sunflower kiss happy, swimming in a bed full of lavenders happy. I breathed taking it all in, letting my brain fill with all sorts of dreams. Maybe I could catch them if I just....
The atmosphere changed. Dad had entered the room...I could feel it. The deep dive I had taken into fantasy world, was now tethering me back up to the main land. The somber reality of it all.
I opened my eyes, only to be met with distant and cold green ones that were so close, yet so far away. Hm, reminds me of Kristopher. He acted just like dad....only a little nicer. I was more accepting of his behavior because he's my brother....and siblings are supposed to tease each other right? But father's and daughters.....well dad's was more brutal...more condescending. It was inconsolable at times. The bright crimson sky had now metaphorically turned into an ugly black and grayish one filled with nightmares and turmoil.
He didn't even say good-morning. And well neither did I so we're even. "Good morning." I said finally grasping myself from my biased rudeness. No sense for me to be a jerk as well. Still no response just a "Mhmm." It wasn't until Kim joined in that he greeted her with a kiss and a "Good morning" as usual. Once again, alienated. Pretty soon the whole crowd started coming in and I was sitting in the kitchen nook still alienated from the residents.
Loneliness engulfed me like a wave washing over sand and leaving it moist and crushed, as the pack started rolling in for the breakfast rush. I ended up making some toast, coffee and cereal and took it all upstairs to my bedroom to eat and relax. But as my luck had it, I heard my dad's voice shift from the living and then eventually to the staircase. "Kaitlin! Come here now!" He yelled with a repugnant sneer.
I traipsed downstairs but was stopped midway by my dad putting his hand up. "What's this?" He said with a condescending tone. I looked down to see some spilled milk from when I was taking my cereal upstairs. "Milk," I answered. "I want you to come and clean this up." He finished, venom practically spilling from him lips. Dad pursed his lips and gave a strong grisly glare as I continued on down the stairs and made my way to the kitchen to grab some paper towels. As I returned, dad made me get on my hands and knees while he towered over me like a heavy rock threatening to crush it's little twigs that lie beneath it. He wanted me to feel powerless and patronized..that's where he got his second wind.
I cleaned up the mess and just took the paper towels upstairs with me to my bedroom, so I could tend to my soggy cereal and toast and cold coffee. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I took a sip from my cold watered down coffee. My small breakfast was ruined thanks to my dad who became livid over some spilled milk. I could hear him laughing it up with the rest of the family, not even caring that I wasn't to take delight in the family breakfast. I was too timid to even bother going downstairs and heating my coffee up, so I just took it as it was and left it at that.
My lips quivered as I took a bit from my toast and another from my cereal. I stomached through it and then tarnished the remains once I felt it safe to enter the kitchen. Kylie, Kimberly, Kristopher, Kameron and Kira were all the ones mom and dad seemed to truly love. The way mom flashes her natural motherly smile at them, they way dad grins as he shares his fatherly wisdom with them, encouraging them to give it their all and be the best version of themselves.
It was like seeing everyone's happiness through the eyes of a ghost. The only thing I focused on was throwing away my garbage and heating up a new cup of coffee. That's what I was getting because I deserved better. My spirits kept me afloat, through a complete tug-of-war with my heart and despondent thoughts. The beep of the microwave didn't stop anyone from their chatting, so I took my hot cup of coffee and made my way upstairs to my bedroom to drown myself in some school work. The sooner I graduated, the sooner I would be getting that job as a writer. I plugged in my headphones and drowned myself in writing my essay to send into the teacher.
Trade school was like that. But it was less stressful then college so I took that over any day, the last thing I needed was more heartache to add to what I was facing at home. My endurance was tested everyday with new and different things. I should be grateful. It's made me a stronger person I guess.
Later that afternoon, I asked mom if I could go to the library to study. I prayed she'd let me go because in her eyes, it would get me out of the house. Of course she said yes, probably thinking the same thing just in a more strident way of thinking. I grabbed my backpack and dashed out the door. The last thing I needed was another setback like the one dad gave me this morning.
The library was finally peace and quiet. It reminded me of the tranquility of relief I felt this morning. Just me and the other 4 people scattered across the section. Disappearing for me felt freeing, no one could hurt me, no one could say anything that breaks down the brick wall that has encased me inside. I pulled a few promising books from the shelf before diving right into to a computer and finishing my studies there. My eyes moved back and fourth from the bright screen, then to the basic pages of the book. I was chiefly more focused on the book and writing notes into my online notebook to clear the clutter of having scattered flash cards or notebook pages that were trailed into different sections that after awhile became confusing and only gave me the bare minimum of what I needed.
My head was consistently shoved into a book for 3 hours straight until I decided enough was enough and that I needed to catch a break from all the studying. So I grabbed my backpack, swung it over my shoulder and left the library for some coffee. I walked along the sandy colored pathway to the nearest downtown coffee shop, only to see the line was overwhelmingly vast. The galling amount of customers was going to be too much for me to handle if I hadn't noticed the blonde haired boy serving the drinks. I quickly plopped myself in line, anxiously waiting to be served by the charmer making the lattes.
To my one in a million break, the line moved rather faster than when I had looked in the window. The varying customers left one by one out of the line with their espresso treats, while I was only three customers in from meeting fate in a green apron and a dimpled smile. My cheeks burned when I swore he made eye contact with me. These hazel eyes really captured his attention?
I was already rehearsing my order in my head for when I got to the counter as not to choke on the right words from a pretty face making direct contact with me. An iced vanilla latte with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.....and maybe one of those fudge brownies that look so delicious?
Finally was up to the line after the woman in front of me got her regular hazelnut coffee that she too impatient to drink once she was out of the line. I cleared my throat and looked confidently in the barista's eyes, despite his matching hazel ones being intimidating ample. "I-I would like an iced vanilla latte with whipped cream and caramel sauce. And a fudge brownie please." I politely requested.
The blonde haired boy typed in the order and asked if there was anything else I would like. "No that'll be all." He smiled and waited for me to hand him my card. With shaky, infatuated hands, I gave him my card to swipe. "Alrighty, you're all set." He smiled and immediately got to work on my coffee and snack. I blushed deeply as I remembered his fingers touched my hand as he took my card. I shuffled my card back into my wallet as a partial excuse to shield my face from his seeing me scarlet stained cheeks from his encounter.
Pretty soon, I saw my coffee was served right in front of me along with a packaged brownie cake and a handsome smile that farewelled me with; "Have a nice day." I smiled back and repeated those words to him before grabbing my coffee and brownie and then leaving. I shoved my phone into my pocket to enjoy my brownie and iced coffee as I walked along downtown and sight see all the different tall buildings that and the short offices that still added depth to the anomalous city. I finished my brownie, now it was just my coffee that needed my attention I sipped along to when I spotted a large building that sent phobic chill up my spine. My heart raced at an irrational but sensible speed the more I walked past it.
My father's school where he worked. Sure he was a hit with all the kids that he shared his immeasurable knowledge of life and of science with. Word on the street was Professor styles is a excellent teacher and his skills are astute! Even I had to agree with it to a perspective...dad was one very intelligent man. But a horrid father to me. I decided to suck in my hostage breath and face a very inhibit fear of mine that shouldn't even began to exist. I walked through the tall brownish red doors that led me to the highly lavish main floor of classrooms and lockers that were attached to the ornate walls. I chugged my coffee down anxiously as I wandered through the exquisite college that I felt out of place at.
My feet dared not turn to the cursed third floor, room 109 where my dad taught his classes there only to those who were desirable in his eyes...which was everyone but me. But my inquisitive brain was in full control of my feet that took me straight to the elevator, and pressed the third floor button almost as if it had some macabre pleasure in seeing myself become jaded and disgustingly humiliated from the elective situations I sometimes put myself in involving my parents. It was obvious that I just didn't have that type of relationship with them...I just didn't have it.
The elevator doors opened to reveal a still expensively decorated hallway and classroom door. My stomach grew into knots as I tiptoed down the quiet hallway nervously sipping my iced coffee to it's ending. My throat became dry and hollow and my lungs grew bitter the more my eyes darted across the different classroom door numbers.
107, 106, 108...109.
My lips became dry and chapped as my now pale skin grew more and more white as shivers sprinted inside of me. My hands literally shook from wanting to open the door to the large college classroom styled like an auditorium just to sit in and maybe listen to a lecture from which my dad had rehearsed specifically for the class. Sweat introduced itself into my forehead as I thought about the consequences if I were to be seen by him. The embarrassment that I cause him might make his class lose respect for him which would then make him furious with me, leading to him making my life more of a living hell.
I decided it wouldn't be that bad since the lecture hall was so big, that it would be a in a million of him spotting me. Maybe, I just could ponder on one or two words that incited percipience in me. I opened the door and took a seat at the top that was hard to spot from a below point of view. I finished my coffee and listened intently to the lecture dad was giving on science and humanity.
"The human heart is a vital organ in the body that gives us life..it allows us to run and walk and jump and survive even in the most tedious situations. But what about the heart of the mind? The one that allows us to feel, to think, to see not with our eyes...but with our perception?"
I was so invested into the conversation that I didn't even realize the worst....I had been spotted.
Dad's eyes, once full of insight and deep logic...now were glacial, passionless and aloof. I swallowed hard to lubricate my throat from the tense dryness I felt all until now. Should I leave? I wondered turning away from the gelid professor. I stood up and walked out of the lecture, not even caring what anyone else thought. They were probably too focused on the 'world's best teacher.'
I exited the school and ran as fast as I could outside, to get lost in the day-to-day of downtown.
Back at home, I entered the house barely making eye contact with anyone and hurrying myself up to my room and locking the door behind me. I didn't come until later when I was called downstairs in a callous voice.
I demurely opened the door, stepped outside in the cold wooded floor hallway and walked down the matching icy wooded steps. There dad was sitting...waiting for me with resentment deep inside his expression.
"Hey dad, mom says dinner is almost ready," Kristopher interrupted to my gratefulness. "Thank you bud, I'll be right there." A completely different man! So warm and gentle and was completely placated in his temper. But he switched it off when his eyes darted towards me. I came closer and sat across from him, almost wanting to intimidate him.
"Why were you in the college today?" He said quietly with a hiss to his words. His illiberal tone made me rethink my answer that was drowning in my paralyzed throat that was dead to speak. "I-I heard your speech....I mean....I wanted to hear your speech because it was so good and I had just come back from the library and- "
"Isn't studying your own topic enough for you?" My dad sneered bitterly. "What are you taking these classes for if you can't even have the passion to listen to them?" I blinked back tears and swallowed hard as to not choke out a sob. "I don't want you doing that ever...again. Understood?" Dad looked at me with abhor, building deep in his eyes the more his eyes stared deeply into mine. I nodded before retiring to my bedroom and missing dinner that was waiting for everyone downstairs. My stomach growled harshly as the only thing I had eaten was a brownie and an iced coffee for the past few hours.
But my intemperate bitter sadness nested itself around me, as I cried into my pillow, tears puncturing wrinkles and damp spots into the pillowcase. I sobbed loudly into my pillow, not allowing room for any shallow breaths to escape my lungs that were too busy spilling out bottled up fuming emotions to care. It wasn't until a soft knock on my door interrupted my emotional fest. I doddered over to the door, wiping my face careen hoping the red eyes would be seen as an allergy.
I cracked open the oak colored door to see the little girl with the pigtails and two chocolate chip cookies in her hand, anxiously waiting for the door to open to her invite. "Hey Kira, what are doing?" "You didn't come down for dinner, so I brought you these cookies so you wouldn't be hungry."
My heart stung with hope. Someone...someone cared after everything that went on today. I meekly opened the door and invited Kira in. I shared the other cookie with her maybe as a subliminal award for caring. And because, I was deeply grateful for her generosity. As much as I tried to hide it, the sweet 7 year old noticed my teary trails and my red burning eyes of sadness. "Why are you crying Kaitlin?" She had that innocent little lisp that foiled her from saying my name in it's clearness, but I fully understood what she meant.
I sniffled, chocking back a pathetic cry as to not let a 7 year old know every painful detail, detailing the atrocious events of tonight. "Katie's very sad because she had a bad day." To put it simply. Kira nuzzled herself over to me and hugged me tightly in her little arms. Her puny little body, filled a warm sensation of love that was describable in this moment. If I could pick her up and move her with me when I go, I would no doubt about it.
After everyone had retired themselves upstairs for leisure or sleep, I snuck downstairs to the kitchen where the leftovers were stored away and plopped a reasonable portion of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and asparagus onto my plate that I heated in the microwave oven for a measly 3 minutes. I had poured a glass of lemonade and made a neat napkin with a fork and then moved quicker than light upstairs with my dinner once it was finished.
I ate silently in my room, concentrating on each bite that I collected with my fork and hungrily shoved into my mouth. Once my dinner was finished, I set aside my plate and got to work on some more assignments. The sky was a peach rose-colored that struck awe with me. The subliminal stars appeared in the sky as the day was soon about to hand it's shift over to a mystifying night that would have more of jovial breeze than the burning summer's eve. The weather shouted California as the summer gained more reign through the months.
I still admired the way the heat itched my skin, and the way the sun slapped it's sunny glow onto my face in the morning. It just felt so earthy and sweet, refreshing as I would say taking a walk into the woods where the sun played peek-a-boo behind the tall lanky trees and that ignited the gentle birds to tweet their song like melodies with such grace.
A prompt I had used for my writing assignment earned me a meritorious A+. I remembered the last time I had showed my parents an A+ I had received from a class, their reaction was that of a nonchalant wind blowing the green grass in the midday. "That's nice Kaitlin." Mom said with distance. "Nice." Dad had barely looked up from his cell phone. That was more important. "Had I offended them?" My 6 year old mind thought. But no, that was just their initial reaction....their typical reaction.
I was used to giving myself pats on the back for a job well done or from a unwonted teacher who would praise me and give me a reward for my hard work. Usually it was those ones who showed up to my recitals, to my plays and to field day where I showed off any talent I had in those categories. I just focused on that. Not the reality of my parents shoving us all in the car to see the twin's soccer games, or Kylie's art shows or Kimberly's extracurricular college activities. I sniffled while writing the last sentence of my writing assignment. I sent it in and then logged out for the night, wanting to catch up on some well needed rest.
I woke up the smell of bacon cooking. My tummy growled as I thought about the sweet meal that was waiting downstairs. I knew I would never be apart of it, but nothing like that was going to faze me seeing at how I was only two assignments short from graduating. Everything was set, my money, empty boxes ready to be filled with every belonging I had ever owned in this room and a present for Kira. She needed it, after all....I wasn't ever coming back. Exhilaration climaxed through my body as my pins and needles tongue finally licked my lips to motivate them to open in a delighted open smile that flashed my deep dimples and my cherry sour lips.
Rent for an apartment was going to be no problem as I had already started creating my resume. All I needed was the degree that would set it all on track for me. I had saved some energy bars away in my desk and nibbled on them before grabbing my backpack filled with the most important books and raced downstairs. "Hey," I interrupted as the room fell silent. Not with grasping attention toward the speaker because of the importance of their words, but because of the murk hue that spoiled the family's breakfast. My siblings looked at me with confusion while my parents looked on with a sullen glower look.
"Could I go to the library? I really need to study," As if they needed an explanation. Mom looked to dad, waiting for an answer. "Be back by 5....it's your brother's soccer match tonight." I nodded gratefully and escaped the house as they continued their lovely meal. In a feeling a nostalgia, I practically skipped to the library for the last time in a sense of studying. This was it...the moment I had been waiting for my entire life! My ticket to self freedom. Finally setting myself free from the sinkhole of my home. Or should I say current place of residence.
I hopped on the computer and completed the two assignments with such ease, that I wondered if I was really that lucky. The words; Congratulations Kaitlin! You have officially completed your course in creative writing. Your graduation date will be posted to your home page along with the expected arrival date of your diploma.
Tears...tears fell freely from my eyes looking back and fourth at the screen of my success. I celebrated with a coffee and trip to the store to buy myself a beautiful locket in remembrance of this day.
As promised, I was home by five cautiously coming through the door, and wiping my sneakers off on the welcome mat as routine. My backpack tiredly slung over my shoulder tracing itself down to my elbow as I shut the rounded shaped blue door soundly to announce my punctual presence in the house. Confusion stabbed me as to why they would want an 'outcast' at the soccer game when they didn't even want me at the dinning room table?
I walked upstairs and changed clothing not realizing the house being suspiciously quiet. "Mom, dad? I'm home!" Those words cringed well with me. I checked everyone's bedrooms, but no one in sight. I called their cellphones, but no answer. I sat in my room, staring up at the ceiling in what to do next. The white colored plastered ceiling didn't give me any idea as to where everyone had gone. To the store maybe?
Hours passed until the sound of the door unlocking grabbed my attention. I rushed to the stairwell to see the whole gang coming in with Kristopher and Kameron holding their trophies while being cheered on by everyone for a great game. It still didn't register with me that maybe the game started earlier and they didn't have time to call me? Or was that giving them too much of an inch?
It was simple....they didn't want me there.
It shouldn't have hurt by now as I already knew I wasn't part of the family, but that didn't stop me from racing back to my bedroom and crying my eyes out in my pillow again. There was no questions about it anymore....
It was time to go.
Part 2 will be posted soon!!!!!

Housewardens reaction to mc who’s power is similar to denki kaminari’s, especially the yay side affect from overusing the lightning based power
I apologize for not posting more than once today. I watched Hamilton with one of my friends.
Gender-neutral reader
Riddle Rosehearts
You are the exact opposite of each other (besides having no rizz). You are social and easygoing, he is obviously not. He hated you at first, but you were able to smooth-talk your way into his heart somehow (again, even though you have no rizz).
Riddle always suggests study dates between the two of you since you seem to be struggling academically. You always get stressed out when he gets impatient in how long you are taking to solve a problem he has given you. You’ve shocked him a few times because of it, and you’re very quick to apologize.
When he overblotted, you were afraid to use your power since you could electrocute everyone so you made them get away. You didn’t want to hurt Riddle, but realized that there was no other choice than to use 2 million volts. As you both sat in the infirmary, Riddle got to see your YaAay side and he was scared that you went brain dead.
When you returned to normal, you had to explain that it was the drawback of using that much electricity since you had to use some of your neurons. The thumbs up was to make sure everyone knew you were alright. So you did this for him? Well, for this valiant deed, maybe he could humor you and go on the date you’ve been asking for.
Leona Kingscholar
He’s way more of a smooth talker than you could ever dream of being. You are more social and friendly while he’s snarky and grumpy. Eventually, he fell for you and your shenanigans because he can see that you truly care for the people around you.
He’s smart, but he never goes to class. If you ask him to help you, he will refuse since he’s too busy sleeping. You’re better off trying to ask someone else, but since he’s very possessive he doesn’t like it when you ask someone other than him. Not even Ruggie.
When he overblotted, he already knew of your quirk but he didn’t know how much electricity you were able to use. When he heard you shout ‘2 million volts’, he knew that this was about to hurt real bad. In the infirmary, Leona was laughing so hard at your brain-dead side.
When you returned to normal, you had to tell him that you probably lost some neurons because of it. You had some serious power (get it?) within you, didn’t you? Well, he has to admit that what you did was brave, so you have his respect (and his heart).
Azul Ashengrotto
He absolutely despised you, but also realized that your personality and natural charm drew people in. He most definitely tried to hire you to get more customers, but you refused saying that you didn’t like to work unless it was mandatory for school.
He would then try to get you under contract by suggesting a way to cheat in exchange for your magic. However, you didn’t have magic. You had a quirk, and it couldn’t be taken away by anything besides someone else’s quirk.
When he overblotted, he came to the quick realization that being underwater was probably not the best environment to fight you in. If you remember from science class, water is an electric conductor, so he will get electrocuted. And he was, with the 2 million volts you shot out. Now he’s panicking when you are both in the infirmary since you’re kind of brain dead.
Embarrassed, you explained that it was an unfortunate side effect to your very powerful quirk. So you risked a few neurons just to make sure that he wouldn’t die because of his overblot? Well now he is kind of flustered at how much you care for him.
Kalim Al-Asim
“Corporate needs you to find the difference between Y/N and Kalim.” “They’re the same person” -Blue (2023). Nah but seriously, y’all were made from the same mold or something. He doesn’t understand what you’re trying to say when you flirt with him, so you might as well not even try.
You both are kinda not… great in an academic way of speaking. Jamil always gets frustrated at the two of you when you don’t understand a topic that he has gone over multiple times. Eventually, you get stressed and zap both of them.
When Jamil overblotted, you were afraid that Kalim would get electrocuted as well since he refused to leave without you. You told him to take cover and shot out 2 million volts. Since the Vice Housewarden had an ink monster trailing, it took the brunt of the shock. In the infirmary, Kalim is taking care of you until your brain revives itself.
It’s then that you apologize and tell him that that is what happens when you use so much electricity without giving yourself time to charge back up. He laughed and said that it was alright, then he thanked you for protecting him and his best friend.
Vil Schoenheit
He didn’t hate you… he just very much disliked you. Sure, you had a great personality, but your flirting needed some work. You often got flustered by the things he said to you rather than him getting flustered by the things you said to him.
The reason why he tells himself that he dislikes you (because he genuinely actually loves you) is that you’re kinda dumb. You were a bad influence on Epel since you didn’t study a lot, and if you did you kinda failed it even though you didn’t take any test yet.
When he overblotted, he knew your first move would be to evacuate everyone so that you would be able to use your quirk. What he didn’t know was it was because you were about to release 2 million volts of electricity. He had to hold in his laughter when he saw you just yAaAy your way around the infirmary.
Once you come back, you are so embarrassed as he asks what the heck happened. You have to tell him that it was a drawback to the amount of electricity you shot out of your body. It took a toll on your brain, and now he feels kind of bad for laughing. Perhaps he could treat you to dinner that he has prepared himself as a way to apologize?
Idia Shroud
You freaked him out because you were extroverted and he was introverted. You were nice, but you were eccentric and that’s what he was wary of. Plus, your flirting actually worked on him because he got flustered so freaking easily.
Since he is shy and has a crush on you, he will most likely run away before you have the chance to ask him for help on your homework. You often have to ask Ortho instead and give Idia a message through the younger Shroud sibling.
When Idia overblotted, your first move was to use your quirk at its max capacity. The problem was that it would be fighting fire with electricity. However, ink is electrically conductive so you were able to overload it with the 2 million volts you released. It came at the price of Idia freaking out at you being brain-dead for an hour.
Once you came back, he let out a huge sigh of relief. He thought it was like a fairytale where he would have to kiss you to bring you back. You were so embarrassed and had to explain that it was the drawback to your quirk. He totally wasn’t disappointed that he couldn’t be your prince charming and save you from the state of unconsciousness that you were in.
Malleus Draconia
He actually really enjoyed your company. You were so eccentric and exciting, as well as friendly and encouraging. Sure, he didn’t understand your way of flirting, but that was all okay because you weren’t scared of him.
The dragon fae would absolutely love to help you with your homework. He understands that it could be frustratingly confusing to someone who didn’t have magic, so he remains patient whenever he sees you struggle with a concept.
When Leona overblotted, you had warned everyone to evacuate. Malleus was still there to see the electricity coming from you turn the dust that Leona created to glass. He also got hit with some of the bolts when you released 2 million volts, but he was able to withstand it. He got to see you turn dumb for a whole hour, which was amusing and concerning to him.
Once you came to, you were so embarrassed at how you were so vulnerable in front of him. He let a smile grace his face as he assured you that it was intriguing how you managed to walk up to him even while brain-dead. It meant that even unconsciously, you trusted him.

================================================
“Why am i even here”
you thought to yourself as you were in your mom’s car on your way toward one of your classmates Gu Yeham’s house for a sleepover, honestly, you didnt really expect to get an invitation to a sleepover at all, especially when all of you are 17 years old, so when you found yourself looking at your phone which the same girl who is hosting this sleepover was the one who texted you her invitation.
“Are you sure this is the place?” your mom asked, you tried to look out of the window to check if this was the correct house however it was so dark that you couldn't really recognize however as you look at the address Yeham gave to you it was all correct and this indeed was her house.
As you nod to your mom she sighs in relief, “Okay, you remember what we talked about before?” she asked as honestly, it was hard to forget the number of rules your mom gave you in order for her to let you go to this sleepover, especially one with him being the only guy full of girls.
“Yes Mom, no sleeping together with them, i must inform you at 11 PM sharp that everything is fine” you say, started taking your bag out of the back of the car-” you were saying however your mom cutted you
“and what is the most important rule?” she asked as you were confused, you couldnt remember anything else besides those two since you were pretty zoned out
"Wear protection?" you asked as your mom laughed as she gave you a kiss on the forehead and a warm smile
“Have fun” she said as you left the car, in front of the big house, as you find your way through the dark path you finally manage to get toward the door of the house, the small light from the entrance illuminates the doorbell. pressing the doorbell start get your thoughts racing through your head
“Ok dude, relax its all good, its just a sleepover, you did those before, granted it was at age 10 and this sleepover is only girls but i should be fine, nothing to-” your thoughts came to a halt as the door suddenly opened, revealing Gu Yeham in front of you, her face lit up as she saw you in the door.
“oh shit” you thought to yourself
You couldn’t think of anything anymore. She was beautiful.
Quick. You searched in every corner of your brain of a compliment to give Yeham but found nothing—smooth hair you have, no, you have pretty skin, no no, your cheeks are very round? You fumbled every word possible and in the end stuck with a “Hello, Yeham?”
“Welcome, welcome~” she said with a smile, “What are you waiting for? Come in, unless you want to freeze outside by yourself” she jokingly said, inviting you to her house
It looked big from the outside but it was even more majestic inside: the walls were high and spacious, brightly shined decorations of gold and silver while the crystal chandelier sparkled. You didn’t feel exactly comfortable. You were not used to this kind of environment and felt stiff and uptight to be in such a luxurious place but your friend eased you into it. Yeham took your hand and guided you to the kitchen. Remembering that it was her place made you a tiny bit more relaxed.
“You’re late, was it difficult to find my house?” she asked.
“Yeah, It’s a bit far from the city area. It didn’t help that it was really dark and I… didn’t expect it to be like this.”
“Don’t you like it?”
“No, no, I do,” you were quick to correct yourself. “I like it a lot. It’s very beautiful. Maybe it’s too beautiful. I’m afraid I will destroy something if I step in the wrong way.”
She chuckles. “You’re too tense!” Yeham gave you a pat on your back. “I’ve never seen you this way.”
“Yeah, it’s just that… uh…” you stopped yourself. It was embarrassing to admit it but stupid were you to even start it. Yeham’s eyes raised toward you in a curious manner, they studied you and she said, “It’s what?”
“Nohing. Nothing.” you quickly lie, looking away at her to try and hide your embarrassment, however she quickly walked in closer to look at your eyes.
“Oppa…Don’t lie now. Don’t forget you accepted the sleepover. We won’t go anywhere unless you tell me now and I have all night~” Yeham playfully told you with a devious smirk. She crossed her arms and looked at you through her eyebrows, fierce and bossy. You knew you couldn’t convince her.
“Aish… It’s that…”
“That?”
“That it’s my first time being at a girl’s place.” you quickly blurt out, being embarrassed even more
Yeham’s gaze immediately softened and her hands dropped to her sides. Her eyes turn into pleading puppy eyes as a fuzzy feeling fills her chest. She affectionately tugged the hem of your sweater to meet your eyes. “Awww, don’t feel nervous. I’m just… your friend! You should be comfortable around me,” she said. “Or is there something that’s bothering you? I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
“It’s fine really. I guess I just need to get used to this.”
“Really? Are you sure? You’re looking at me weird,” she laughed.
“It’s because you’re…. very pretty today,” you said, your cheeks turn a shade of pink as you earned yourself a soft punch on your shoulder. Yeham’s steps quicken to rush to the kitchen. She doesn’t look lie she’s blushing but the reddish tint on her ears reveals what she’s really feeling.
You sighed in relief and followed her.
You almost enter the door when suddenly you hear Yeham squeal. You stepped inside. There were bags everywhere and all the cupboards were open with some jars upside down and everything else in a mess.
Your eyes cross a girl on the ground. Her cheeks were full, with bits of chips on her cheeks and lips, while her right hand held a bag and the other hand was still half way into the bag. She hides the evidence behind her back. You’re not sure what her intention was.
“Hello?” she said, flashing a guilty smile.
“I told you to TAKE OUT the snacks, not EAT all of them!” Yeham scolded her. “Seoyeon Unnie, what is this mess?”
“Well, you said to take out all of the snacks right? so I had to make sure I really did get everything out.” she explained herself as Yeham just looked even more confused than before.
“And why are you eating?”
“Uhh…quality control?” she simply asked in a rhetorical question as Yeham shook her head in disappointment.
“You’re unbelievable,” Yeham sighed. She pinched her nose bridge and gave you a look of defeat, the one that tells you to “deal with this yourself.”
“I’ll go see what the other girls are doing,” she said and left, you could feel the annoyance from Yeham's Aura toward her unnie. Splendid. Your first task is to clean.
It was your turn to sigh now. You looked around the room, it looked like a tornado just passed. Seoyeon smiled at you, squinting her eyes, and waving her hand, happy that she has someone to help her clean.
You look around and grab a tissue before crouching down to her level. You grab her chin and start cleaning her face. “You can’t even eat properly, Seoyeon. Look at you.”
Seoyeon just giggled and closed her eyes. You let go of the napkin and used your fingers to swipe away all the little crumbles. In the midst of the action, you realize how soft her cheeks were. Sure, they did look soft but you didn’t know they actually were this soft. It really felt like holding a marshmallow.
You didn’t realize you were just squishing her cheeks until Seoyeon told you.
“Oppa… are you finished?”
“Oh! Sorry…” you said pulling away your hands. You looked away.
She laughed. “So caring of you to clean me like this, have anyone told you you are boyfriend material?” she asked, looking at you with a cute grin, lost in her eyes, your mind couldn't comprehend what seoyeon was saying.
“What are you even saying, Seoyeon.” You stood up, quickly shaking yourself of the trance and patting your pants. “Help me clean.”
Seoyeon started by picking up all the bags she scattered on the ground, while you went to get a broom. That little rascal couldn’t even bother to eat normally and left crumbles everywhere as if she was Hansel. You have been her friend long enough to be accustomed to this side of her. You weren’t surprised, of course you weren’t, and you wondered why Yeham even left her alone in the first place.
Seoyeon was a bright a girl. She was optimistic and could get along with any stranger, making them feel close and accepted. Her extroverted demeanor eventually caught you as well and that’s how you two became friends: she was a bit too energetic when she went to greet you and accidentally knocked down your lunch tray. Fortunately, some of the food was still intact but she felt guilty and wanted to apologize properly. Then followed several days with Seoyeon chasing you around and you running away, because you were scared to talk to her.
Walking out the kitchen, you couldn’t help but observe the house. You already saw it before but it still fascinated you how big it was. About two families could live comfortably in there. Yeham didn’t have any sibling, it must feel lonely sometime. It was also true that she had lots of friends.
To your surprise—even though it was obvious—the room with all the cleaning equipment was huge. It was almost as big as your little bedroom.
So you went and looked. It looked like a whole cleaning supply store squished in there. There were all kinds of brooms, dustpans, mops, microfiber cloths, two vacuum cleaners, stacks of buckets, squeegees, toilet brushes. Those were only the tools: on the right, there was a shelf with all of the cleaning solutions. From the all-purpose cleaner to the glass cleaner, antibacterial spray, tile cleaner, bleach, toilet bowl cleaner, white vinegar, baking soda. Not to mention a whole row of laundry detergents that you couldn't recognize. In the corner, there were also products for pets, like paw wipes (you didn’t know she had a dog), urine neutralizers, brushes, etc.
Why did she even need that much stuff? Wouldn’t her family have hired a maid of some sort? Judging from where she lives, it wasn’t like she couldn’t afford it. You so lost looking into he room that you didn’t realize someone sneaked up to you.
“Who is it?” you barely heard behind you. “Why are you taking so long?” She kept your eyes covered with her hands but judging from her voice and her words, she must’ve been…
“Seoyeon.”
The hands leave your eyes as you turned around to see… Yuna. Yuna standing in front of you, angrily pouting all alone, her arms folded over her chest, and a burning gaze. Yuna was happy to see you but she did not like that you arrived at the house half an hour ago, you’ve barely spoken or looked at her, and now you even got her voice wrong.
“Oh, it’s you,” you said. “Hey, Yuna.”
“Oh, its you…” Yuna whined then sighed heavily, maybe even a little dramatically. “Go back to Seoyeon.”
You shook your head and chuckled, finding her grumbling adorable but also a bit worried by her sudden change in behaviour.
“Are you mad?” you asked. Yuna respond didnt. “perhaps...jealous?” with this question Yuna immediately reacts, as her she starts to tense up and her face started to turn pink
“Ha! No,” she scoffed and folded her arms again, this time looking away to the wall.
“Anyways, I’m sorry I didn’t recognize your voice but it’s because you said something like what was taking me so long and the only one who as waiting for me was Seoyeon to help her clean. So I thought—”
“I was waiting for you too!” Yuna puffed. “We haven’t hanged out for so long but now that we can meet again you’re only paying attention to Seoyeon.”
“It’s only been a couple of minutes.”
“A couple?!”
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry,” you quickly assured her as you put your hand on her head and patted her. “I’m sorry. We’ll definitely catch up later, okay? I’m really happy to see you again.”
Yuna couldn’t help but smile.
“Okay,” she mumbled. “Go and clean fast so we can talk.”
“Alright.” you grabbed the first broom you could find and went back to the kitchen. It was incredible. Impressive. Desperate. The kitchen was in a bigger mess than before. You saw Seoyeon sitting with her leg crossed in a sign of defeat on the floor. Her head was looking down sadly. “Explain yourself,” you simply said.
“I… I knocked down the cereal box,” Seoyeon mumbled with embarrassment. She hid herself away from you. “I was just trying to put the bags away—it’s not my fault—it just fell…”
You facepalmed yourself and didn’t say anything. You just sucked it up and started cleaning. With the right attitude, it didn’t take too long. Seoyeon had to really follow you or else she’d get a whooping.
"You two finished? The girls are waiting for us" Yuna asked after twenty minutes, you two nodded and started heading upstairs, on your way you found yourself looking at Yuna on the other side of the room, which she quickly noticed and gave you a small wink. You could feel your face turn pink but you quickly shrugged it off, now you finally arrived to Yeham’s room, finding 5 girls sitting on Yeham’s, all of them looking at you.
“Great, you finally got here,” Duna said, she was dressed in a casual pink pajama with bunnies as the decoration, she was looking at you with a smile “we all waited for you Oppa, now can we start no?” she asked as Yeham turned her gaze toward, now smiling at you as she leaned closer to you
“Ready for the best sleepover you ever had in your life?" She playfully asked, it was a simple question and for this there was only one simple answer.
“You bet” you simply said.
At the start you couldn't lie that you were a bit afraid of this sleepover, especially since you are a guy and they are a girl it will turn awkward very quick since they couldn't share girl secrets, however instead you felt happy as you all of you had fun, starting from random video games all of you would play together, to Playing Uno, that being where to problems started.
“Sihyeon, a-are you sure you want to play UNO with the damn UNO empress herself?!” Gaeumhee stuttered, sweating from the hellish pressure around the two rivals.
“Why not? I gotta show this little girl who’s the real deal,” she casually replied. There’s confidence in her eyes, firmness in her voice, no trace of fear or doubt. She shuffled the deck swiftly, ignoring the havoc around her. Geumhee sighed.
“I’ve played with you for how many years? And you wouldn’t even take on your manager. What makes you think you can take on the almighty Sua herself—”
“Don’t worry, Geumhee. I got this. Just watch.” Geumhee rolls her eyes. Sua is risking herself at this point, she knew it and accepted it already, and there’s nothing she can do to stop her. She backed into the crowd of people and the contender sat down in the center of the room, in a floor that now was the Colosseum’s pit, Madison Square Garden’s ring, the place where the everything ends.
You gulp. In the years you’ve been friends with these girls, you’ve heard all sort of stories about Sihyeon and her goddess-like UNO plays—how they had to hold a guy down because he went insane after losing five times; how she casually beat the second best player in the world during her lunchbreak—and now you were going to witness the legend.
Apparently, her ancestors invented UNO itself.
“Just you wait, pathetic girl! You will beg for forgiveness after my last move!” Sua shouted passionately. She sat herself in front of Sua.
The game started.
The rest of the game was no more than a memory in your head. The succession of moves was never seen before. Every turn felt like the last one, you could only watch, without saying anything, breathing anxiously. After ten long minutes, it looked like a winner was clear.
5 cards to 1. The fate of Yoo Sua depended on her next move.
“How did it come to this…” Sihyeon sighed.
“Make your last useless move so I can end this duel, Sihyeon.” Sua sneered. She was holding only one card, she truly thought that game was over. Sua had nothing to say, she just shook her had, smiling wryly.
“You have no idea what I have in my hand.” Sihyeon said, then, she played a yellow skip on top of the previously played yellow four. After that, she played a blue skip, a green skip, and then a red skip… “Uno.”
“No way!” Sua’s face took a complete 180 as she realized what was about to happen.
“And… that’s game.” She said, playing down a red six.
Sua’s chin lowered to her chest, her eyes still on that six, her hand went limp, letting her lonely card fall out, a yellow nine. She shook her head helplessly. How could she lose? The empress, the girl that beat every player of RBW entertainment and POP MUSIC, lose to a no one like Sihyeon. She lets a long low sigh as Sua came closer.
“You know what’s next, Sua,” she said, “I will take the one thing you desire the most. Last time, the first time I challenged you, you took my title and that’s why you’re the leader of this group. This time I will take him.” Sihyeon pointed at you. You looked at her with a confused look.
“Me?” you innocently asked.
“Yes, her cru—”
“Wait! What are you saying! You’re clearly wrong.”
“I’m not wrong. I know how you always talk about him. You love—” A pillow crushes on Sihyeon’s face. The whole room freezes from the sudden hit while Sua’s cheeks turned tomato red from embarrassment as she could just be asked to bury herself right now however… “PILLOW FIGHTTTTTTTTT!!!!” Geumhee shouted on the top of her lungs as everyone rose from the floor and grabbed their weapon; however it wasn't just a simple fight, It was war and you either take a side or you take the floor.
10 minutes later and the fight was intense. All of you split into two factions: the bunnies and the ducks. On your bunnies side were Sua, Duna and Yuna while Geumhee, Yeham, Seoyeon and Sihyeon were out for your head. It was tough, everyone was better than you thought but who the most brutal was Geumhee. You could see the girls running away on the other side in fear.
With a roar, Geumhee got into your line with her great pillow… her huge cushion was whirling again, making space, and your line went back and the ducks followed her, determined to win this battle and make a name that would be remembered in all the land of the dreams.
You just started to find your prey to hunt when you saw Sua fall down beside you. Her body flopped lifeless right in front of your eyes, her pillow lied there with her broken spirit.
“Sua, no!” you screamed and ran to her.
“It was a hard blow…” Sua whispered.
“No! It can’t be!” you begged and looked at your teammates, they were struggling and still going back.
Sua caressed your face. She looked at you like it was her last time. “My prince,” she started, “the proud warrior of this nation and my beloved.” Her breath itched at the last word, but she ignored it and continued. “Unfortunately fate decided that my last day was marked by the pillow of evil Geumhee but don’t let our story end here. My dear, the trumpets of eternal glory did not sing yet and they await for you.”
Her hand went around your neck. You lowered your face, closing the distance with her lips, it was her last moment, it would also be her last ki—
Too soon. Sua blushes and rolls under a blanket. You guessed she buried herself.
Duna, who saw the whole scene, ran upon a mattress and called the attention of her remaining comrades. “People fall everyday. Friends… family. yeah, we lost Sua tonight. But she’s still with us… in here,” she said, pointing right to her heart. “She didn’t fall in vain! But you you will! Sua’s heart did beat for us! For all of us! It’s not over!”
You could feel energy rush into your body again. You feel the smack behind of you coming from Sihyeon, as you turn your gaze at her she immediately tenses up, realizing she may made a mistake. You immediately start heading toward her, a pillow in hand ready to return the favor as suddenly you could feel the hit being blocked.
It was Geumhee, her teammate in this war, you look into each other’s eyes already knowing what must happen as you start hitting each other’s pillow, blocking each swing like you two were professional fencing players, suddenly you could feel being backed into a corner, feeling like geumhee will get her hit on you, finally knocking you out of the war.
There was no way to avoid it, and blocking her this hit may cause you to fall down as you open you arms, accepting your fate.
*Boom*
“YESS!!! I GOT HIM” geumhee shouted in joy with complete disregard to the entire enviorment, her smile was large and confident as you simply get up, looking at Duna, Sua and Yuna, they all lost their 3 hearts in the beginning so they really relied on you to win them the war.
“Well at least i was close” you simply said.
“Yeah, you almost clutched and got us the win” Yuna simply said, happy.
“Almost,” Sua said angrily, she was very competitive and you could feel it through her sulky voice, meanwhile geumhee walked toward you.
“Good games, you really made me sweat up here since the other girls are very easy to beat,” she said as you could faintly hear Yuna saying “HEY” angrily from somewhere. Geumhee raised her hand for a handshake as you raised it as well, giving her a sportlike handshake.
“Ok, so it's 10:30, how about we will get down to the real business, and really get this sleepover to how it should be?” Yeham said as she begins to smirk, as quickly all the girls realized what she was talking about causing their smiles to rise as well.
“What?” you asked, confused since it was a while since you had been in a sleepover as Yeham just giggles as she leans closer to you.
“It's truth or dare time,” Yeham replied in your ear, honestly it would be the first time you will play truth or dare at all since you didnt have much friends and those who you did had the chance to have sleepovers with didnt like to play truth or dare so an experience like this would be a first.
as you all sat on the floor of Yeham’s bedroom in a circle Sua takes a water bottle and puts it on the floor, you found yourself sitting near Yeham from the right side while Duna sat near you on your left “Ok who spins first?” Seoyeon asks as Geumhee just leans toward the bottle and spins it clockwise.
a couple of spins later the bottle starts to slow down more and more as finally it stops with the front of the bottle facing toward Yuna and the back of it facing toward Seoyeon, Yuna in response just curses quietly while the short-haired girl shows a happy grin.
“Okay Yuna, truth or dare?” Seoyeon asked, making Yuna hesitate for a couple of seconds, not sure what to say as she gulps and finally spoke the next words.
“I choose dare” she reluctantly said, waiting for the worst to come as Seoyeon smiles, knowing that she has a plan.
“I dare you, to lay on Oppa’s lap for two minutes” she said as Yuna’s face turned bright red, looking at your face which seems to be more confused then ever, “Is this something that happens regularly in truth dare?” you asked yourself while Yuna walked to where you seat, sitting between you and Duna, which looked at you a bit annoyingly however you couldn’t focus on it since Yuna slowly fell toward your lap as finally her fully blushing face was on your lap, making the entire population of the room squeal in excitement as the girl in your lap gets more and more embarrassed.
“ohhhh i got to take a picture of it” Yeham said cheerfully as she rushed toward her study desk to grab her phone, as the sudden surprise of Yuna on your lap relaxes you scout the room. first there is Yeham, the organizer of the sleepover with her camera on taking pictures of the entire situation, Geumhee Seoyeon. Sihyeon and Duna were looking at you with big grins and giggling at you however Sua looked weird, she was looking away with red cheeks though sometimes she will try to glance at you but she couldn't bring herself to it, “is everything ok with her?” you asked yourself as suddenly you find yourself staring below you
you see Yuna just laying there, getting comfortable on your lap with her smile being as big as ever. however something you wouldn't notice before were her cheeks, [Insert Cheeks Ramble]
“And….time” Seoyeon said as Yuna rose up from your lap and looked at you with a big smile and then turned toward Sua, showing her a big grin causing the girl with orange hair to look furious, leaving you a bit confused at the situation however it quickly stopped as Yuna started talking
“MY TURN!!!” Yuna said as she spun the bottle again, spinning more and more with each second passing as now it stopped facing Seoyeon with the back of the bottle in front of…you? that will be interesting as Seoyeon gulps,
“Seoyeon, truth or dare?” you ask the girl with short hair as she starts to get stressed,
“Uhhh Truth?” she simply said.
“Well Seoyeon, is it true that…you already confessed to whoever you like?” you say, simply as a joke to try and lighten up the mood since you saw Sua sour’s face from before, however the results were not what you expected as the entire room now froze in place.
First to speak was sua, which did stop her from being gloomy but instead made her face go so red even #FF0000 was nothing compared to Sua’s face, “UNNIEEEE, YOU ALREADY CONFESSED?” Sua asked Seoyeon, looking furious than before while Seoyeon was just confused.
“N-n-no, what are you talking about, we are not even crushing about the same guy” the short haired girl stuttered, confused and embarrassed.
“Uh huh, just like i saw you with him in the kitchen as he touched your cheeks” Yuna joined the argument which made you freeze for a second “wait she already met her crush today? i seen at school like all day and i have no idea who they are talking about” you thought to yourself.
“I swear to god, why no one told me Sua liked him too” Sihyeon just asks, annoyed at the whole situation
“wait you like him too Unnie?” Duna suddenly spoke as for you the confusement turned up to 11 with all of the 7 girls arguing with each other, you couldn't handle it anymore as you finally asked the question no one asked before
“Who is HIM?!” You shout, puzzled from this entire interaction.
“YOU OPPA, WHO ELSE?!” Yeham answered as the whole room stopped, realizing the truth was already out, and there was no way to deny it as Yeham walked closer and started speaking, her face blushing a bit
“Oppa…we all have feelings for you…apparently, and from what it seems each one of us thought we were the only to have feelings for you, and…now this happened….were sorry” everyone looked down in embarrassment, now the room finally gets quiet, giving you the time to think
“They all liked you? for how long? why?” a billion questions ran through your head, while you try to find each girl’s eyes they turn away their face as if they shamed their family. In your head there was also another question: who should you chose
And as if you were communicating with telepathy, Sua immediately answered.
“Well, i think i should be with Oppa, since like…i was the first to crush on him and all” she blurted quietly as Geumhee paused herself and looked at Sua.
“What? no, i was the first one he met from our friend group since i showed him the school, i should end with him” you could already sense this was going to start another argument however Yeham joins in, calming everyone down
“Girls, we can't choose for him who he should end up with, we need to let him choose himself, Yeham pointed at you as like a moth attracted to light, the 7 girl's eyes drawn themself to you.
7 choices, 1 for each girl as you really had no idea who you should have the happy ending with. It wasn’t an easy choice. Each girl you found yourself having a fun time, like Geumhee’s occasional invites to her gaming's session online with you, or Like duna whom you were watching mukbang during school lunch, with each girl you could find one interaction you had that you were fond of.
However, you had an idea for an 8th solution, something that while it not make everyone happy in the end, it can make the playing field fair.
“5 Minutes” you simply as all of the girls were confused, letting you continued “this is how much time you have to charm me, besides doing something naughty everything else is fair game, is it ok by everyone?” you ask as all of the girls look at each other’s and then looked back at you with a smile, this was the first smile ever since your stupid truth.
“Yeah” Seoyeon answered but it was clear the answer was agreed on by everyone, realizing how far they took this stupid argument, by instinct the girls turned to each other in a circle, doing rock paper scissors, which after a minute or so Yeham steps closer to you, signaling she will start in this now contest to make you theirs.
On her knees, Yeham looks at you with a mixture of embarrassment and desire. Her eyes flicker between the floor and your pupils, her cheeks clearly red, make you wonder if her blushing was for you or for what was about to come. She gently puts her hands on your legs and gets closer.
It’s hard for her to look at you in the eyes. Her head is turned to the side, leaving her neck and collarbone on full display. The skin is thin, pale, delicate, how easy would it be to leave a hickey, to cover it in kisses and smudges—how sensitive would her neck be, to whine and hiccup at your lips? Compose yourself.
Yeham hasn’t started yet and you’re already doing her work for her. You can feel her fingers tracing paths on your thighs, wherever they were going, they were too close to you. In a stummering fall, you put your hands behind to support you. Yeham doesn’t let you get away. She takes a further step and looks straight into your eyes.
Now, she was more embarrassed than flirty but that didn’t matter. She bites her lip. Fingernails itch your skin, she caresses your chin, down to your neck, to your chest. “Do you know how long I’ve liked you for, Oppa?” she whispers. “It’s your fault I can’t sleep at night. I keep thinking of you and If I do fall asleep, you follow me in my dreams. It’s such a torture to see you this close to the other girls.”
Your hand try to grab what they can, creasing the moquette, marking the floor. Her poison is taking effect. You steal glances at her lips. They are pouty, shy, trying to roll back and hide themselves, yet the few glimpses of their pink shade instills the most deep desire in yourself.
“You can kiss me, oppa,” she reads your mind. “I won’t mind. But then you’ll be mine. It’s such a simple gesture and I’ll be yours. What do you say?”
To see your most caring friend that needy, at a kiss away, made you feel unexplainable new emotions. It would be a lie to say you never thought about her that way. To say, you were not considering her offer right now, would be absolutely false. You hesitantly open your mouth, “I… I think I want to—”
“That’s it!” Sua screams, grabs Yeham’s shoulder and forcefully pulls her away, rolling down with her. You let out the breath you’ve been holding until then, your eyes are wide open. You forgot about the other girls.
The background of chatter is of jealousy and envy. They realized how easy you were to persuade—you almost gave in to Yeham and she only had to offer yourself to you—if they wanted to win over their friends, they had to step up their actions. The first contender was hiding behind a big pillow, she was a blushing mess and didn’t dare to watch you again. She exceeded all her limits. Whose turn was now?
Yuna stood up, walking toward where you were sitting, she looked confident unlike Yeham’s which from the start was embarrassed but Yuna was simply smiling as instead of sitting in front of you she instead sat on your lap, right from the first second you felt embarrassed but what Yuna was about to say made you in shock
“You can touch them” she says as now its your turn to blush, looking at her chest you cant believe a girl would let you touch her in a place that special, however you find yourself looking at the girl, her face matches your color of red from the blush. giving you a smack on the head as you now realize that wasn't what she meant as her hands now point toward her cheeks.
Your hands slowly magnetize toward her face, one inch by one inch while Yuna is closing her eyes and her blush seems to be gone, ready for what was about to come.
You have been admiring Yuna’s round cheeks for a long time, but had never found a chance to feel them. Now that your friend was this close and openly inviting you, your desire was stronger than ever. One finger first, you wanted to test your expectations. Just at the touch, her right cheek enveloped the tip of your finger. You didn’t have to put much pressure they were soft enough.
Your thumb joined your lonely index, to gently pinch her cheek. It was easy to compare her skin to bread dough—it was smooth and pale, not exactly firm but not soggy either, bouncy and springy. When your left hand cupped her face together with your other hand, you started kneading her cheeks. You were delicate and careful, you didn’t want to make her uncomfortable or ruin her skin.
Yuna was surprisingly enjoying it. She was smiling widely, eyes closed. It probably felt like a face massage to her, it was heaven for you instead.
She wasn’t stupid. She’s seen you observing her long before you started liking her and when she caught you looking at her pictures on your phone, it was always her poking her cheek or pouting. Yuna put the pieces together and understood.
Cheeks are the greatest gift to a woman’s face.
Cheeks alone can determine her whole demeanor, look, and expectations: take a runway model for example, they don’t have cheeks, rather, their chin is sharp and their cheekbones are pronounced resulting in a slim face; this makes them look more elegant and assertive, contributing to their overall confidence. Girls with soft and plump cheeks, on the other hand, are cute, they look more innocent and nice. We have a natural desire for cute humans, just like how we all like babies. Then it was obvious why you preferred round girls—they are sweeter and cuter.
Following this argument, Yuna was a loaf. Yuna must have been the most gifted together with Yeham. Her face shape wasn’t pointy or large, but smoothly round to compliment her plump features. She had the softer and fuller kind of cheeks, that naturally looked pouty, in contrast to Sua, whose cheekbones were more pronounced.
After a minute, your hands were numb, or just lost in the cloudy skin. Your mind was blank, just happy thoughts. Yuna’s face was a large grin, satisfied and happy. If she had a tail, it would be joyously wiggling right now—it was true that she kind of resembled a puppy at times. Her plan was succeeding: feeding into your deepest desire got her a lot of points.
"Times up Yuna, your turn is over" suddenly your trance is over as you hear Seoyeon say, Yuna quickly left your lap with a big grin. "That was brutal" you thought to yourself while looking around you find how the girls are trying to think, Was it for planning their way of charming you? who knew but you didn't have much time to think about it since now Sihyeon rises and walks over to you.
“Is it okay…never mind, just forget i said anything” Sihyeon quickly shutted her mouth and looked away, however you got curious.
“Its ok Sihyeon, you can say it” you reply as she found your gaze again, her eyes shining from excitement, so much that without saying anything she leans closer, making you a bit nervous while the girl in front of you continue to lean closer and closer until both of your noses touch each other.
as you look at the black haired girl in front of you feel your face getting hotter by the second as Sihyeon just cutely giggles, you heard of nose snuggles being done in TV shows but you never experience it yourself.
While you were not as close to Sihyeon to the other girls you still had some interactions in school, like how you two are lab mates in Chemistry class and had some very funny moments together, while all of this was happening you had one thing on your mind that you can't take off: for the whole time you've been friends with all of the girls, they all liked you.
Many questions run through your mind right now, for how long they liked you? Who was the first one to like you, WHY do they even like you, its not like you were someone special, you were just a teen, a guy who just became their friend through circumstances.
However while you were inside your thoughts you couldnt notice the time was up, as you open your eyes you see the girl, looking at you with a cute smile while giggling, “Time is up” Seoyeon said rolling her eyes, for the first time in forever she looked a bit annoyed as you could only be curious if she wasn't just annoyed, but instead Jealous.
Duna stood up and walked toward you, grinning from to ear to ear as she simply leaned into your cheek and gave you a small peck, which result in the entire room freaking out including you however unlike the others your freaking out was inside your brain as it ended up completely frozen.
“If you choose me, you will get more then just kisses on the cheek” she said, winking in order to get you flustered even further.
It was safe to say that after this Duna was disqualified from the contest.
While she did charm you really well, she may have done it too well, causing you to basically freeze for 2 minutes, and if it wasn't for the hot choco Yeham gave you, you wouldve been frozen for longer
“It was worth it” Duna said, pouting lightly as now you were ready for the next girl to charm you. You couldn't lie that all of this was really fun for you, so fun that you even forgot to message your mom to say how you were doing at the sleepover, luckily after Seoyeon’s turn which she simply just cuddled you with a smile you remembered to check your phone, texting your mom that you are fine in which she simply responded with a thumbs up and a good night
“So its between Geumhee Unnie and Sua” Yuna said as you were a bit curious of how each of them will approach charming you since Geumhee never really had the chance to flirt without any guy until now and Sua was in her words the first one to fall in love with you.
Geumhee wasn’t as exciting as her members. She wasn’t an extrovert, a dork, or a confident supermodel, and couldn’t offer you any of the things her friends did. In her mind, she was the most average girl ever, which wasn’t true in everyone else’s eyes but that’s what she thought.
What she could offer you, however, was peace.
Until now, the contest of the girls had been hectic and your mind and heart was so confused who to choose, because each girl made her best to charm to make you fall in love with her, Geumhee however thought otherwise: she decided to be your checkpoint, to stop and relax because after all a good girlfriend is also a girl that let you relax and escape from the world when needed.
“Come put your head on my lap,” that’s what she wanted to say in her mind, however. “cmeputhyyuheommmap,” is what she actually blabbered out of her mouth. Just the mental image of you, sleepyhead, laying on her lap under her chest was enough to send shivers through her spine and color her face a bright rosy red.
“What did you say?” you ask.
“Uhhh…Lap pillow?” she says, gently patting her lap. You glance over at her with a confused look, too tired to recognize what she’s asking at first, and she stares back with a gentle longing in her eyes. She can only continue patting her lap again and stare patiently.
After a second, it clicks.
“You want me to… uh….”
Geumhee quickly nods and smiles warmly.
Your first reaction is an awkward crawling to your friend, who was already sitting on her knees, with a pillow under her feet. You look at her for one more time to see if she was sure and she offers you a small smile.
Your head stummers down to her legs and then it plops down on her lap.
It feels so comfy. It’s almost instantaneous how all the built up fatigue hits you and your body relaxes to accommodate better your new found pillow. Diligently, as a good girlfriend does, Geumhee ran her fingers through your hair with a fluid, continuous motion, combing out any tangles, and lightly stroking their fingertips along the back of your neck.
Your eyelids flutter and gently close as all you can feel at the moment is pure bliss
Her hands on your head feel like the gentle rocking of a lonely ship on the sea. Her lap feels like the soft embrace of a cloudy heaven. And your body is stuck in between land and water, what you suppose heaven on earth feels like.
“You love it, don’t you?” Geumhee said, behind her shyness. She giggles jokingly, with the smug of a satisfied kid. “Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”
Your face slightly slips to the crook between her thighs. You feel the smoothness of her legs, helped by her pajama shorts, on your cheek and it’s nice. Really nice. It’s warm, comforting, flustering.
“Where did you learn this stuff?” you eagerly asked her.
“Well, I read some stuff.”
“Some stuff like what?”
“Uhm…” Geumhee is embarrassed to admit the amount of research she did while fantasizing to be your girlfriend. She wanted to be perfect for you. “so… webtoons, romance books, and some of the stuff that Yuna reads.”
“Yuna’s stuff? Like hentais?” you joke and laugh.
“Hey! Yuna’s voice is like a little pebble to your head.
“No, no, no,” Geumhee stutters. “It’s rom com mangas.” she explains herself as you giggled from her embarrassment, causing the girl to join you as well. You were so relaxed that time passed very quick. “We need to finish” Geumhee says while you were leaving her lap
“It was fun” you replied “Now who is the last one?” you asked
“Me” Sua exclaimed, standing up as her face had a mixture of both anger and sadness, you could even spot some tears in her eyes, "I have waited enough '' she said, quickly she lunged toward you, pulling you into an embrace.
"Watching all of the girls touch you, feel you…it hurted me" she added as her hands moved over to your chest "but now I finally have you, around me in an embrace as all I want now is to say is" she hesitated for a second, looking down however she looked at you back, full with confidence.
"...I love you, I…always loved you. From the first day we met" Sua exclaimed, leaving you shook, its weird to think that someone fell in love with you of all people in first sight, but here was Sua, looking at you with her eyes full of tears, all you could really do was hug her.
At that moment you could care less about the competition, all you cared about was to comfort your heartbroken friend as much as you could.
Looking around you could see that even the other girls didn't look at the two of you in jealousy anymore, but instead in looks of guilt, making you feel happy that even the girls thought like you
"Well uhh…times up" Yeham awkwardly said as slowly you released your hug from sua, instead you leaned your forehead, touching hers just like bunnies do when they want to forgive someone
"So oppa? Who won?" Yuna asks while leaning closer with a very cute smile, probably and try to charm you with a last ditch effort
"Well…i-" you were about to say when suddenly geum hee stopped you
"Yuna ya, how about we let Oppa sleep about it, he needs time, and besides, its 1 AM and we are tired" the oldest explained before Yuna sighed and reluctantly agreed
Soon enough after all of you brushed your teeth and organized your mattresses you were all ready to sleep, however while the other girls quickly fell asleep your head was full of thoughts
And honestly who wouldn't be after 7 girls confessed to them, however throughout those flow of thoughts there is only one question: who will you choose
This was really a mystery for you since you liked each of the girls that it was hard for you to choose, you could suggest all of them to be your girlfriend but you quickly shutted that idea not only they will revoke your friendship status with them, but you find harem disgusting from the few anime you've seen.
"Well, I guess it's a good thing to sleep on" you thought to yourself as you started breathing in and breathing out, relaxing each part of your body until your eyes close themself by force, letting you drift to sleep
However during the dream you got an enlightening thought, the solution to the puzzle of who should you choose to be your girlfriend
"I think I will choose…"

𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐨𝐳𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐤. 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 : Chapter 1
Feat. kenma kozume Tags. fluff, maybe some angst later cw. none, i think (if there are any, please let me know)
masterlist. prev. next.
DISCLAIMER!! This plot might not make sense and characters may also be out of character, I also am not Japanese so I don't know too much about what happens during their school times so I'm kind of guessing sometimes. all images do not belong to me and the characters, excluding ocs and you, belong to Haruichi Furudate. I wrote this fic with a female reader in mind but there aren't any pronouns in here so I think it’s friendly for all to read. If I did accidentally add any pronouns, please let me know!
You glanced up, taking a look at the building Airi was mentioning. She was right, it was huge compared to your previous school. However, the more you stared at it, the more it looked just like a rectangle to you... Maybe it was just too rectangular. The building itself was just like two boxes glued together, but it was made of metal and had glass windows.
You walked into the school, an eerie silence following you. Although, it was probably just because you had come so early that other than you and Airi, there was no one else here yet, or at least from what you could see. The only sound that lit up the hallways were the echoing clack of your shoes against the hard floor. You came closer to the lockers, opened one, resulting in a loud and awkward creaking sound then changed shoes. As you and Airi finished changing, and began finding your way towards your respective classrooms, Airi finally started talking after what seemed like an eternity of silence.
"Oh wait!" Your attention turned from the shining floor to her. "Do you remember the guy who sat in front of you last year?" You nodded and hummed, showing that you did remember, even though he wasn't quite fresh in your memories, he was the guy who's head you'd seen everyday for an entire year. Of course you'd remember him. "Well I think I forgot to tell you, but apparently, he was dating our homeroom teacher. She was married, you know!" "Wait really?!" You gasped, eyes wide at the information that Airi had just given you. "Yeah! And that's not even it! He was also in a relationship with this other really popular girl who was younger than him!" The two of you continued gossiping about things that had happened last year. Things that Airi had apparently forgotten to tell you last year because she was busy with work, or something.
Once all your conversations had finished, you soon arrived at your class. You entered and plopped onto a chair in front of a random desk in the room. There you thought that Airi would have left to go find her class but she entered and explained that she also forgot to tell you that you were in the same class as her.
Now you think that she might need to check her memory at a doctor.
Airi takes a look around the class then sits on a desk beside you. The two of you stare at the black board in front of you. Slowly, people start filling in the classroom, then the bell finally rings.
-♦❤♠-
After a few days, all the new first year students had finally adjusted to their new environments, their classes, teachers, and some had even made new friends now. The same went for you except you. You're definitely more used to this school now than when you first started, but you didn't make any new friends. However, that wasn't important. Or at least not yet. Not until Airi forces you to meet new people... Right now, you didn't need more people to worry about, you needed Airi to decide on a club, the one that you were going to join with her because you didn't want to join one all alone.
Everyone else in your class had been loudly contemplating with each other which club they'd be joining, so of course you and Airi would have been too. What else would there have been for you to do if not this? You discussed it for a while until she suddenly hummed. She'd come up with something at last.
"Since Moko-chan said she'd be joining the volleyball club, we could match with her and join one too!" In response, you furrowed your eyebrows in concern and confusion so you voiced your concerns. "Airi! No!" You said, dumbfounded. "You know I can not, for my life, play volleyball." "Well I can't either, so let's do it together! I don't even think we'd need to play much though so we'll be fine!" She beamed with a bright smile on her face before swiftly grabbing your wrist and dragging you over to the gym.
Why would we not need to play??
So with you in one hand and your club registration papers in the other, she set off on her journey to find and bring you to the gym.
When you finally arrived after somehow getting lost in the school (with the excuse that this school was that big and she'd only came here around a week ago and plus, her sense of direction is terrible), Airi slammed open the heavy door of the gym, revealing a tall raven haired male with tall, spikey bed hair scolding a pudding head playing on a switch while others were spiking and receiving around them. Just at first glace, they were presumably members of the boys volleyball club. Airi didn't say anything about going to the wrong gym either... And that was when you realized…
"Oh waiiittt..." You paused "WE'RE MANAGERS, NOT PLAYERS..." You said with wide eyes. "Of course! What did you think?! I can't play volleyball either, I'm not trying to torture myself either!" She grimaced at you, sending a wtf face. You looked away, but before you knew it, the attention of everyone that was previously calmly (?) practicing in the gym had turned silent and their heads turned to you and Airi in unison. It was so silent that you could almost hear the creaking of their turning heads.
Ah... You whined internally why did I think that... You shut your mouth and decided that it would be better if you didn't talk during this interaction.
Airi sighed, hand still tightly gripping your wrist so you had no choice but to follow her. She slowly inched closer towards the people, her hand with the papers were now raised, as if to hand them over to someone.
"We'd like to join this club as managers."
-
EXTRA!!
- Kenma was playing Elden Ring and when you came in and yelled, he got jump scared
- As much as you are concerned for Airi's memory, she wonders how you misunderstood that she wanted the two of you to join a volleyball team as players... maybe she didn't communicate it enough... she'll make sure to do that next time
- Kuroo's intrigued by you, he wants to ask Airi if they can share custody of you. Adopting introverts is always good.
- Your classmates still have not decided on a club to join
I don't really know the japanese culture for what happens in school because i don't live in japan... so its probably written incorrectly here... just keep that in mind

hey guys,, who wants to see this new dsmp au i've thought up of instead of working on my other countless, already existing aus.
still trying to come up with a proper name for it,,, right now the working title is shattered reflections...? buuuut i'm not too content with that yet.
the basic plot is, via ~wacky shenanigans~,, ranboo, tommy, and tubbo,, all from different universes,, end up getting misplaced together in the multiverse or something like that, and now have to hop from dimension to dimension, trying to find their way back to their respective homes(and maybe they'll find that the real home was the friends they made along the way).
still need to iron out a few kinks(how did this start, how do they travel, how does it end, etc etc),, but like. it's been rotting in my brain ever since the idea first came to my head, so i figured i might as well share it here? in case anyone else's interested,, dkdnsksms.
ranboo's from a magical girl-like au!!! why? mostly because i thought the idea was fun,, ekenkssjks. tried my best to emulate an anime style into the design, 'm hoping it came across? i've been imagining, if this au were animated like spiderverse,, they'd look a lot like how peni parker was animated,, dkdmskdm. you'll never guess what his magical girl form is themed on /lh.
tommy, as you can prolly tell, is from a royalty au! youngest prince of the antarctic empire,,, design is slightly based on some fanart i saw on reddit, by someone called em0kii, i believe? i say slightly because i only thought to search up "antarctic empire fanart" for inspo after i was done with the lineart,, and by that time it was too late for me to change it to something that better fit the cold environment the kingdom's based on(and by too late i mostly mean i was lazy),,, dkdjskj. still, though, i'm pretty happy with it!
and then there's tubbo! he's from a post-apocalyptic au B]. not one with zombies,, but... idk, maybe something exploded? haven't thought too hard about the cause, but just know that his world is in a not good shape. i'm sure it's fine tho. my main thoughts when drawing him were to make him less colorful and saturated than the other two,, since his universe is a bit darker than theirs,,,, and to make him look a little intimidating(big coat, goggles, scarf, lots of sharp edges, plaid). after all, if you're a 5' something teen in the apocalypse, living all on your own– you wanna try and make yourself look as big as possible to try and ward off as many threats as you can. and if that doesn't work, you can always just hit 'em with a bat.

Raggedy Ann and Andy's First Slumber Party
A Raggedy Ann and Andy age regression fanfic by me!
Let me know if I should add trigger warnings! I'm not used to posting my writing

💙
Marcella is invited to a slumber party at her classmate's house to celebrate a set of twins' birthdays. She brings Ann and Andy to play/sleep with cuz it's her first sleepover. Ann is super excited but Andy hasn't been out of the house besides they're adventures in the deep dark woods so he's a bit nervous. He'd never admit it to anyone but Ann tho.
~
The first few hours of the sleepover went by quickly, Marcella set them both up at her sleeping bag by her pillow and went off to play with the other kids outside. This gave the two twin dollies a chance to meet the other kid's stuffed friends. They met a huge stuffed moose named Sammy, a plush cockatiel named Charlie who spoke in squeeks, a small cat full of plastic pellets named Fiona, and a stuffed dog named Frenchie. Ann was having such a great time meeting these new friends, Andy was doing his best to be friendly but he was having a hard time acclimating to the new environment. Something about this whole outing made his stuffing turn, he decided he would stick close to Ann. Purely so he could protect her if something happened, or at least, that's what he told himself.
After supper and cake all the kids rushed into the bedroom to grab their respective toys and bring them all to the birthday twin's shared playroom. It was a large bright room seemingly split through the middle between the two twins. One side felt similar to the nursery back home and the other was decorated with superheroes, zombies, even wrestlers. 'Great more toys to meet!' the ragdoll twins both thought with very different sentiments.
It was all going fine as the children played. Marcella was playing with the twin dollies, having a pretty fun time until one of the boys took Andy from Marcella's hand. It took all his effort not to come to life and rush back to his kid and sister. He was brought to the boyish side of the play room. There was almost a conflict between the children but then a woman came in to say it was time for a movie. The boy holding him tossed him back to Marcella and dashed out the door in a rush to find the best spot for movie watching, much of the other children followed suit. Marcella gave Andy a big hug before setting him down next to Ann and leaving the room. Once every toy was sure that no one would be coming back to the playroom the toys came to life once more.
"Oh Andy! Are you okay?" Ann exclaimed as she hugged her brother and checked a few of his more fragile stitches. Andy was struggling internally, it felt like this slumber party was only going to get worse and all he really wanted was for Ann to cuddle him and tell him it'll be okay. That they would be home soon. But he couldn't admit that out loud, not with all these new toys around that could judge him for being 'too soft'. Before he could get a word out to his sister a teddy bear approached the twin dollies. Andy stood behind his sister and held onto the loose sleeve of her dress.
"Looks like you got snagged by Michal, are you alright? No stitches popped" the bear asked kindly, "My name is Freddy, welcome to the play room! I'm sorry some of our kids play a bit rough" The bear, Freddy, seemed friendly. Andy nodded.
"That's one way to put it, who just grabs a toy out of another kid's hands at this age?" Andy asked halfheartedly. "Anyways I'm fine, thanks." Andy looks away, he didn't want to make nice with Freddy- or any of these other toys- he wanted to go home. Ann could sense the tension building in her brother and tried her best to keep the peace.
"oh- Andrew" she jabs playfully "Don't mind him, he's just grumpy. My name is Ann, it's nice to meet you Freddy! Your playroom is so nice! Much bigger than Marcella's nursery back home!" She and Freddy shook hands and began talking about... something. Andy wasn't paying attention. He decided he didn't want to be a part of this conversation anymore and walked off. He found a spot next to some building blocks that looked nice and sat down to settle himself.
He didn't like any of this, that much was obvious. He could feel a fuzziness creeping up in the corners of him mind, his regression. He really didn't want to do that here, not around toys he didn't know. Just the thought of it upset him. But he also thought about what Ann said, was he really being that grumpy? Was that his only two options? Grumpy or regressing? No, he needed to make some friends. He could have a good time here, just look at how great Ann is at making new friends! He decided, the next toy he sees he will try to befriend.
Not two seconds later an action figure came out of nowhere, crashing through the small tower made of blocks he was sitting by. He was a bit shorter than Andy was and he had a wrestling outfit on. 'oh sweet! a boys toy I could be friends with!' Andy puffed up his chest as he waited for the wrestler to get up and out of the tower's remains.
"that was wicked!!!" The action figure pops up yelling, facing a whole group of other figures. The wrestler ran back to the group and Andy followed.
"Hey guys, I'm Andy!" He put on a smile and held out his hand for a handshake like he's seen his sister do thousands of times before. The figures seemed to not notice him so he cleared his throat of any loose stuffing and tried again. "Hey guys, that was super cool! What games do you like to play?" A few of the plastic toys gave Andy the side eye and the toy in the middle of the crowd, a slightly taller toy with a removable biker helmet and molded on leather jacket and ripped jeans, approached Andy like he was bothered by having to look at the ragdoll.
"What do you want, Plush-Boy? We're busy." The dude said. "The tea party is that way, Doll" he pointed to where Ann and a group of other toys were playing a bored game. Andy was confused but tried his best to put on a genuine smile and he held out his hand again for a handshake.
"My name's Andy, what are you busy with? Maybe I could lend a hand?" The biker looked at Andy's hand and shook it. His mates behind him seemed surprised at this.
"No. You can't. You're far too soft for our stunts. You'll pop a stitch. Now get out of here and go back to the girls toy side." He said as if he were talking about something as mundane as the weather. The other figure behind him snickered and chuckled as they watched Andrew stammering.
"Hey- wait a minute! I'm no girls toy! I can do anything you guys can and probably better too." Andy defended himself, he didn't like being considered weak. Especially not by these... these hoodlums!
"Sure mate, you'll notice though.. none of us are wearing lipstick and mascara." The biker pointed out the stitching on Andy's face that looked like make-up. His goonies behind him were agreeing and exchanging high-fives as they laughed at the ragdoll. Before they could say anything else to him, Andy ran away.
He ran to his sister who was playing a board game, snakes and ladders, one of his favorites. He didn't ask to play though, he sat silently next to Ann and resigned himself to watching her play. He could still hear them across the room, he's sure if he looked they'd be laughing and pointing at him. It took all of his strength not to cry. He dug around in his overalls pocket for his paper flower, something that always made him feel less alone, upon finding it he put it safely in his lap. He smoothed out some of the crinkles in the petals, smiling sadly and humming quietly to himself. He hummed the song he and Ann always sung when one or both of them were feeling down, Candy Hearts and Paper Flowers. He was thankful for the ambient noise of the room so no one else could hear him. Or at least that's what he thought.
He was so deep in his own world he got startled when he felt Ann's arm wrap around his shoulders in a side-hug. After the initial scare he melted into his sister's embrace, leaning his head against her and closing his eyes. She leaned her head atop of his and they stayed like that until it was Ann's turn to play. She had to scoot forwards a bit and played one handed as she held Andy's hand. Andy paid more attention to the board and saw that the moose they met earlier had just won. They were all chatting and setting up for another round. As they were all ready to start Ann looked at him holding the two dice.
"Do you want to roll for me Andy? I could use some good luck," She asked with her perpetually kind smile. Andy nodded excitedly and rolled them, then Ann moved their piece. As the game went on it became more obvious to Ann that her brother had regressed, she wondered if he even realized it. Soon they were reaching the end of the game, it was what could be their last turn. Ann had to suppress a giggle when she saw just how seriously Andy was taking it. He shook the dice with both his hands before dropping them on the board, leaning in close to read what the numbers were. Three and five. Everyone else who saw had already put together the simple addition but waited for Andy. He counted the dots on the dice carefully. Eight.
"Annie!!! It's eight!! That's what we needed right?!" He spoke louder than he meant to in his excitement. Everyone at that board knew it was but we're playing like they didn't know so Andy could figure it out.
"Oh well, I just don't know Andy. Let's check!" So the two of them counted each pace with the player piece. The look on Andy's face when he realized they'd won was priceless. He was smiling ear to ear and got a few kind words from the other toys playing. He looked back at his big sister and she ruffled his hair through his hat. "See Andy? I knew you'd be good luck!" The boy beamed with pride, maybe this slumber party wasn't as bad as he thought!

Amor, amor, amor.
Summary: Edward has been considered the office outcast, the weakest link in the chain, but, if he's as invisible as he thinks he is, why are you looking at him?
a/n: Hi! this is my first fic in English, sooo apologies for any spelling mistakes, enjoy!
Warning: this fic is heavily inspired by The Riddler: Year One #1, obsessive behavior on the part of the reader and Edward, foul language, love at first sight, maybe a little cheesy.
Words: 8,200.
What is it that makes us valuable in the eyes of others?
It may be money, values, beauty, or anything.
But in this world loneliness has affected you, since you were born your desires are handed to you on a silver platter, anything can be yours. And with the social circle, you live with it's easy to fall, to be a spoiled and arrogant person.
Jewelry, fancy clothes, and brand name shoes, all your life you got used to that, that your only concern was what color you would wear for your nails this week. Everything seemed to be simpler, your mind enclosed in a bubble of glitter and pink, after all, you considered that you had a perfect life.
Well, until you met Bruce Wayne.
It was a one-in-a-million coincidence that you two met, it's even stranger that the two of you hit it off somehow, a very unique duo, he gave you a new perspective on the world, of Gotham, as you walked him through all the years where he figured out who he is and what he wants to do for the future of the city.
He practically burst your ideals, it's like he punctured your bubble and you came out, you realized what he meant. Then he started making it more formal, making his outfit, his weapons, and tools, he even made a whole lair where he would do his operations.
How you are trustworthy and practically his only friend told you after several months of thinking about it, you accepted it regardless of the consequences that would come in Bruce's life. You remember that night, you hugged your friend until your arms ached for all the trust he gave you, his secret will be safe with you, even though inside you worried too much. But how could you refuse? if it's to keep his legacy as he said, you weren't going to stop him.
Since then you have stopped seeing Bruce as often as you used to.
And it all seems so bland, even if you turned to Gotham's rich little group of young adults, it wasn't enough, it was all drab and dreary. You could easily die of boredom.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"Why don't you give work a chance, honey?" your father's voice is heard in the doorway of your room, bringing you back to reality, you stare at the fire in the fireplace. After so many introspections have made working not a condemnation for you, maybe in your spoiled past you would have thrown a tantrum for the simple fact of getting out of your comfort zone and working like any normal person, but now you lift your shoulders and just say "Okay".
"Great! They're hiring at KTMJ, just one call and you're done" You turn to see him pull out his phone "What if I want to get a job on my own?" The man shakes his head "You have to get experience first, my child! Besides I'll rest easy knowing you'll be in a safe environment" he exclaimed exasperated, maybe your parents were happy to have you working too.
You keep looking at him, he waits for an answer from you and you just stare at a fixed point on his face, do you need to work? The position you could fill is deserved by someone who is trying hard to get ahead, but you don't have many options anymore to get bored. "I understand father, I'll work as best I can" you reply looking back at the fire in the fireplace.
You hear him talking to someone you have no idea who it could be, but at the moment you just think that this new experience could be a good thing for you, you could stop depending on your family, you just hope to give a job worthy of the position they can give you.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You adjust your clothes as you walk up the stairs of the KTMJ building, today is your first day and you want to make a good impression. As you enter you notice the variety of people arriving and leaving the building. It's a small office complex compared to other skyscrapers, but you still like the detail of the logo on the elevator, you appreciate it as you walk up from floor to floor.
To your surprise, when the elevator opened, a lively and cheerful atmosphere greeted you, you see helium balloons and streamers on the ceiling along with company anniversary decorations, you perceive a group of well-dressed people talking happily, one of them notices you and jumps out of his seat to approach you.
"Wow! But look who's here!" a man in a sharp suit greets you, he has a sharp face and dark brown eyes with spiky hair like porcupine quills, you greet him back "Hello! Good afternoon I'm-" before you speak he interrupts you "Oh! no need for formal introductions! Call me Zach and I've already been informed of your arrival" he laughs offering his hand for a handshake, you take it warily but do so anyway.
"Zach, nice to meet you, um-" you take a moment to speak "If you already know who I am, then could you tell me where I can talk to Mr.Stone?".
"I'd be honored! Come, I'll walk with you" he walks deftly between the cubicles of the office, Zach guides you to a staircase, and going up to the second floor you observe the view that gives the height, from here you can see almost the entire office, half of the people are talking and dancing with drinks in hand and the other working in their cubicles as if it were another work day.
"Here it is Miss, and welcome" he opens an office door and then smiles with perfect teeth. "Thank you" you reply and enter the office.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Apparently, it's not enough for this office to celebrate the anniversary once, so when you come back the next day you find the same scenario, this time there's a lot more decoration and everyone is out of their cubicles.
Well, except for one.
You look at the back of the man sitting in his cubicle, absorbed in all the commotion and writing frantically on bead sheets.
Interesting, you think.
You'd like to approach him to ask what's got him sitting and working instead of partying with the others, but you'd rather give him his space, he may be working on something important.
You walk towards the stairs to get to your own office, Mr. stone offered it to you as a cordial gesture, after all, you are the daughter of the biggest partner of the company, and the favoritism is obvious, in a certain part, you dislike that you are given better treatment than the others.
"Well if it isn't my favorite girl!" you hear Zach shout moving closer to you, here we go again. "We just met Zach" you wave if you can call it that, unlocking the office door with a set of keys, the man in the blue suit stands to the side of you "Well that doesn't take away from the fact that you are" you open the door and Zach walks in behind you "You should come downstairs, there's a party going on right now!".
You turn on the light in the room "I'd rather stay here" you refuse and then sit down at your desk "I want to start working at once".
"Oh! Please! You'll have fun! Besides, Edward is already covering those bills" You stopped the express cleaning you do to your desk "Who is Edward?".
Zach Snorted "The bespectacled weirdo" speaks, adjusting his black tie. A red flag goes up on the flagpole in your mind "Oh, I think I saw him when I got here."
Once Zach arranges his tie the way he likes it and turns to look at you "Believe me tell you he's a very weird guy, but he's extremely good at the job, that's why he hasn't been fired yet" he revealed as if it wasn't a big deal.
Formulas some questions, why is he considered a weirdo? why is he still here?
"I find it interesting, I'd like to meet him" you reply curiously. "Well, there will be a time for that, now you have to meet the others" he comments and you sigh as he is right, the best thing would be to meet most people.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You chatted with the group of friends of the man in the blue suit, who were drinking glasses of wine, and taking pictures to remember the party, they were nice to you. Zach, apparently the leader of the group is the one who talks most of the time, makes jokes, and tells anecdotes and in the end, everyone laughs at what he says. But you know perfectly well that kind of man like Zach, his leadership potential is good, but he lacks nobility, he even becomes quite egomaniacal with the comments of his recent promotion.
It's a good atmosphere, but for you, this is a waste of time.
"Hold on, I have some papers to serve" Zach informs walking away from the group, you notice the direction he's walking in and he stops at a cubicle. Curiosity prickles your skin, he must be talking to Edward, you unconsciously get up from your chair, one hand occupied by a plate of food, and head towards the same cubicle.
"You finish the Smelkison accounts?" you hear Zach's stoic voice directed at the person sitting at the desk. "Yes" speaks the man you can't see as Zach's stiff back prevents you from seeing him.
You walk faster until you reach the man in the blue suit "Hey! Hello!" you hold up a plate with the sandwich "I guess we haven't introduced ourselves..." you say finally looking at the face of the man in front of you, you stop talking slowly looking at every detail of him. Slightly tousled brown hair, a round face, smooth cheeks, and a normal build but you just can't look away, he catches your eye so much that you continue to stare in fascination as if you were appreciating a newly discovered work of art.
You look at Zach's face for a second. Is he blind? Can't he see the beauty of the man in front of his eyes?
On the other hand, the center of your attention doesn't respond to you, and thinks you're talking to someone else, causing you to get confused and decide to speak again "You're Edward, right?".
"He-hello" he stutters a little, forming a nervous smile, in response, you smile at his shyness. Zach looks at the interaction skeptically "Oh, my favorite snack" he takes the untouched plate in your hands and thanks you for instantly taking a bite, you frown slightly "Actually it was for Edward, a gift for helping with the...Smelkinson account?" you improvise an excuse.
Edward adjusts his glasses hiding his eyes from the reflection of the light "Thanks, but I'm not hungry". Your smile doesn't stop, on the contrary, it grows because of how adorable you find him "Wow, that's a pity, the food is delicious".
Edward doesn't respond to your comment, it's as if his voice stopped working in your presence, he looks down trying to concentrate on his work "I also finished other things like the Goodman divorce".
Zach stops eating his sandwich and puts it in one of the file cabinets "jeez, we don't need this until the end of the month" he speaks busily as you stand silently watching their interaction. "Sorry" apologized Edward in a low voice. "It's fine but let's keep this between us," says the man in the blue suit then turning to you "we need to get back".
"I'll catch up with you later" you reply, causing Zach to raise his eyebrow but he doesn't think twice before turning back to his entourage. You turn to look at Edward who is surprised that you caught him looking at you "Are you sure you don't want a snack?" you offer hoping he'll say yes.
He shakes his head, muttering a "No, thank you".
"Mmm, well, best of luck in your job, Edward" you wave goodbye and walk away from his cubicle, causing Edward to lower the papers he put halfway down his face to hide his nervousness.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Luck is something he doesn't have, not even a hint of it, but he feels that something changed in his destiny when you looked at him for the first time, as you noticed him among so many people and that's almost a historical fact, someone who notices him and doesn't ignore him like everyone else.
He knows you, how can he not? If everyone talks about you, about your upper-class position that gets you to put in a better cubicle than him, you just starting to work, he's been here for five years and he's still at his simple desk while you rise to the top. It's unfair, totally unfair, and the strange thing about it all is that you don't repulse him.
You dress just like Zach's friends, in fancy and expensive clothes, and he watches as you approach the group with a serene face, after a few minutes you look in their direction, and instead of grimacing or telling someone that Edweird is looking at you funny, you simply smile at them and make a peace sign.
He is too surprised, he looks away to return to the accounts on the table, numbers are his safe place where he knows the result of operations. But social relations? He doesn't know about that area, that's why he's completely confused, why do you smile at him? why do you treat him well? It must be because you are kind or you are faking it to hide your cruel personality.
Kindness, he never thought that existed in Gotham, it's not every day you see a pretty, rich girl offering him snacks and being empathetic, so he's suspicious of any decent gesture that comes his way.
Edward sighs, the day will soon be over.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You walk out of the KTMJ building as the dusk turns into a starless night, you slowly walk down the steps blowing on your hands, you shouldn't have forgotten your gloves. You see out of the corner of your eye Edward's brown hair on the bottom steps, and you can't help but want to talk to him.
"Goodbye Edward!" you yell at him and he turns around with a surprised face, you wave a hand as a goodbye with growing excitement, and he waves goodbye without saying anything to you, just slowly waving his hand as you do.
You consider it cute and even refreshing, a novel feeling arises in your whole being, you watch as he mingles through the dangerous streets of Gotham, perhaps on his way to the subway, and you worry about how dangerous the streets can be at this hour, next time you might take him home.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Are your cheeks hot? Does your heart race in his presence?
Oh, you should call Bruce.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Zach arrives at your office with a couple of coffees from the nearest branch of the building, he greets you with a big smile and sits down in front of your desk handing you the coffee, you take a sip and quickly push away the paper cup with the hot coffee, you burn your tongue a little causing a disgusted look on your face. "Slow down" Zach chuckles and drank his hot coffee.
Jesus, how disgusting this guy is, someday he must realize that you have no interest in him, he keeps coming back to you to brag about his luxuries and cases he has solved alone. Maybe in other times, you would have been captivated by his neat appearance of a successful businessman, but being surrounded by people like that you ended up losing interest.
It's your second week here and you've only done basic things, but it's not all bad, the good thing is that from your office you can see Edward from your window. You don't care how creepy it sounds that you watch in your spare time a man who probably doesn't want anything to do with you.
"Look what I did" he hands you a folder, it was the Goodman case you heard about the second time you arrived, but you remember perfectly well that Edward worked on this case as well. "That's fantastic, all this research" you congratulate flipping through the accounts and papers with all the information "But, didn't Edward help you with this?".
At the mention of the other man his smile falters "Yeah, well, he did the numbers part, but I did everything else!". You close the folder, this job is Edward's, not his, no matter how assertively he lies, you won't fall into his trap.
"Tell them Edward helped you" you hand the folder back to him. "But-" he objects, however, he watches your serious face and it cowed him, he doesn't forget who you are "Okay."
He leaves your office and you wait a moment, when a few minutes pass you quickly walk over to the only window in the room to watch Edward for a while, but what you find is Zach talking to him, your blood boils every time he talks to the man with the clear glasses, are you the only one who realizes that the idiot Zach is taking advantage of Edward? maybe some people realize it because of how obvious it is, but no one does anything.
You will change that.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"What?" Mindy, who you think is a female version of Zach, stopped looking at herself in her hand mirror to look directly at you. "I said," you clear your voice, "Do you know Edward Nashton?"
The woman rolls her eyes and turns back to her mirror "He's one of Zach's minions" she says applying red lipgloss. "Come on Mindy" you sit down next to her "you must know something more about him".
"Why so much interest, mmh?" she asks with a suspicious tone. You knew I'd ask you, are you willing to give up this intimate secret to the most gossipy woman in the office?
"I think he's handsome" you confess swallowing your distrust, with the crush you're suffering you need want to know everything about Edward.
Mindy starts laughing, however, when you don't follow her laughter, she instantly stops "Are you serious?". You shake your head in affirmation, Mindy's mouth drops open, totally taken off guard by the fact, "Wow, I mean, I didn't think that was your type”.
You set your sights on something other than Mindy, you get a little shy talking about these topics out loud "He's cute and very dedicated to his work."
"Well, if you say so" he keeps his mirror in his bag "Actually, Nashton is a very mysterious person, I mean, he hardly hangs out with anyone in the office, apparently he's really into crossword puzzles and that shit, all the time I see stuff like that wasted all over his desk."
Satisfied with the little she gave you, you point to her "Don't tell anyone what I told you" you just hope your secret isn't revealed before you try to move forward with Edward.
Your co-worker smiles "Relax!" she gets up from her chair "Your secret is safe with me!" she assures you before leaving the room.
You doubt it.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Edward arrives at work at exactly 7 am when there is almost no one in the office, he likes to be early so he can be alone with his work, without the need to listen to Zach's irritating voice giving him folder after folder of new cases, however when he gets to his desk he finds something.
"1001 Sudokus to solve!"
He picks up the little book and looks at it with fascination, looking around for someone who might have left it there.
But he's alone... isn't he?.
He looks towards the stairs, on the second floor, and watches the shutters of one of the offices close quickly, if he remembers correctly, yours. Was it you? Did you give him this? He sits down at his desk and picks up his red pen to start the sudoku on the first page, while he solves it without difficulty he thinks of you.
He's skeptical, he can't help it, it must be a joke on you and Zach, it can't be a gift, it's a joke, just that, but as he finishes his first sudoku he imagines you leaving him this book with joy in your eyes, that he's not a joke on you.
He hears some footsteps from the iron steps, he turns up and finds you in front of him "Good morning Edward" you smile at him already close by in his cubicle. "Good morning" he reciprocates the greeting ducking his head, he had already seen too many pictures of you last night, but when he is next to you he just freezes.
"I heard you like crossword puzzles" you laugh "but I couldn't find one of those, so" you sit in a chair with desk casters near him "I chose Sudoku."
"You gave it to me?" he speak hesitantly filling in the boxes with numbers. "Yes!" you confess with unconscious enthusiasm.
"Why?" he didn't mean to sound so confused but he can't help it, that thorn in his head telling him that he doesn't deserve any of this too he wonders the same thing Why, why are you giving him a gift?
"Because I want to, someone should thank you for the cases Zach took, right?" you replied cheerfully even though you worry inside, doesn't he like the gift? Does he find it strange?
"What?" he abruptly stops solving his sudoku, he looks at you with utmost surprise, what did you just say? "Nothing" you quickly get up and walk away saying "have a nice day".
Edward stares at your figure as you climb the stairs again, that you're back to the top again, he should hate you, but he can't, nor does he want to. The gears in his head turn to come up with a workable answer, you're not like them, his smug superiors, he smiles slowly, he didn't get a chance to thank you for the gift. Edward thinks about what he should do, he could go upstairs and thank you directly but he also thinks that this situation needs to be cleared up once and for all.
He needs to know if you're playing him, if he trusts you even for a second, you'll probably show up laughing with Zach and his group over poor naive Edward who believed in you.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Mr. Stone looks at you as if you grew another eye on your forehead, yes, your request was more than unexpected, he adjusted his glasses and keeps his usual gesture of seriousness "Are you sure?
You are sitting in front of his desk with a chair, and you notice the various newspaper pictures on the walls, you don't have time to read them and you focus on Mr. stone "More than sure, I don't deserve an office if I'm only given simple tasks" It wasn't enough to just watch Edward anymore, you want more, and being up there with the others, it just takes you away from him.
The man sighs "But you can't go down to the cubicles where the others are, Miss" Your smile disappears at his reply "Why not?".
Mr.stone leans back in his chair "Well, your father insisted on a better environment for you, and believe me the second floor is the best section for that".
"I'll tell my father that I chose to be downstairs, he doesn't have to worry about that" you see Mr.stone's tired face with clear signs of wear and tear, but he still tries to give you a good deal. "okay, we'll give you a new cubicle".
You give a little jump of joy inside you, and outwardly you smile determinedly "In fact, I know where I want to settle down."
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"Hi Edward!" you drop your files into your new cubicle, a freshly cleaned desk just for you, your expression of joy is hard to hide, how did you not think of switching cubicles before?
Edward jumps at the noise, looks at you a little startled then asks "What are you doing?".
"I'll be your neighbor, isn't that wonderful?" you sit down in a desk chair, and put your post-it notes in one of the drawers naturally, while Edward continues to process what you said. "What happened to your office?" he asks again.
"Well, I decided it's better to work directly with others than to lock myself in four walls" that's not entirely a lie, but you know the reason you came down is beside you, anxiously waving his red pen.
"Makes sense" Edward opines further accepting the idea that you'll be by his side for quite some time, he's not ready yet. in the meantime you smile at him relieved, he thinks it's no wonder you sit specifically near him, another bullet dodged.
The two of them remain silent, which you don't mind, you suppose Edward must be quite introverted and that's why you don't force him to chat if he doesn't want to.
"The sudoku you gave me..." he started to speak but looked down at the papers on his desk "I liked it, thank you very much."
"Ah!" His thank you catches you off guard, your cheeks start to hurt as much as you smile "It's nothing! I hope it wasn't too hard for you."
Edward smiles back "I figured it all out in less than an hour, it was entertaining." You are surprised by what he said "Really?" Edward nods his head with an approving hum "That's brilliant" you reply delightedly.
"You think?" his cheeks heat up forming a slight flush, when was the last time someone complimented him? this feeling is so unfamiliar to him, it's simply scorching, but also addictive.
"Yeah!" you laugh as you slowly come up next to him to talk closer "I take to do one, like, a half hour and you finish the whole book!".
Edward chuckles, flashing his smile strange to others, but to you captivating "It's not that hard."
"How cool" you flatter him again, and you look at his face closely, how sometimes most of the time his glasses hide his eyes from the sun or the glare, you'd like to see those green eyes more, get lost in them and never go back, wouldn't that be wonderful?
Edward opens his mouth to speak again but a call stops him "Nashton!".
Your smile fades. Why does Zach have to butt in where he's not wanted?
Zach stopped in front of Edward's desk with some files in hand.
"Look at this" gives you a new folder, from the perspective of your view you see the title of the file -New Beginnings, animal rescue-.
"What happened to Goodman account that was here?" Edward questions receiving the folder giving Zach an indecipherable look.
"Oh, I decided to hand it over, after all, they're impressed with how fast we work" he informs holding up his hand with his thumb, you roll your eyes inquiringly.
Edward's face softens to a completely reflective one, still staring at Zach... <we>?
"So you told them that Edward did most of the work, right?" Zach is surprised to hear your voice, he didn't notice you when he came to give Edward the files, he turns in your direction and smiles with that fake face "Yes, I did."
You narrow your eyes in extreme distrust, he's most likely lying, but you'll give him the benefit of the doubt. "What are you doing here, by the way?" the suited man ignores Edward's glare at him.
"I moved my desk, I'll leave the office to give it to you" to Zach's eyes it seems like a nice act but the truth is it's a sign that you want him as far away from Edward and you as possible.
"Aw! You shouldn't have done that!" she replies in a cloying voice that makes you want to bust your eardrums if you hear it again.
"I insist, keep it."
Edward stays in the background of their conversation, ducking low enough not to turn around and watch you talk to Zach like he's your friend. "I need you to look at this file, it's something from upstairs, they need it urgently so they gave it to me" Zach informs him again, god, this job will kill Edward someday.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You look at Edward again, and you think you might consider him your new hobby, however, you are worried that something is wrong with him. Another nice thing you find about him is that when it's time to work, he nimbly moves his hand and answers the boxes on the charts, he takes the time to look at each receipt for evidence and compares each bill to find a discrepancy. It's as if he's so focused on just that that everything else gets put on the back burner.
You can't get enough of seeing him like this, but it's getting late and you're practically alone in the office. You tap him on the shoulder and shake him gently and call out, "Edward?
Edward comes out of his trance, he looks around and finds the office about to close, but he also finds you there, right next to him "Yes?" he looks at you a bit dazed.
"It's late, let's go" you put on your coat for the cold and settle in your chair already standing up. Heeding you he gets up from his seat and puts on his coat and backpack "I didn't notice the time, did you also work late?
"I finished my work early" you declare walking towards the elevator, and Edward follows you "I was just waiting for you."
The elevator closes, you inhale the cold air, and you see Edward who similarly watches you and just smiles. "How long have you been here?" you start a conversation, averting your gaze at the speed of light, seeing the logo plastered on one of the walls of the elevator instead of Edward's smile that could blind you if you stare at it too long.
Edward adjusts his glasses "Five years" he replies somewhat embarrassed, at this point he knows you won't make fun of him, but he still has that thorn in his side.
"That's a lot" you reply "You deserve better".
"I don't think so," he says hiding his hands in his coat, "I'm not capable enough to be promoted."
"Edward please" you speak almost angrily, not at him, but at the people who made him feel this way "I've seen your notes and let me tell you they're great, you're talented."
Edward looks into your eyes, looking for some lie you can give him, if this were a dream, he doesn't want to wake up, he shyly pulls his hands out of his coat and gives himself a little pinch, he feels the pain, he's awake.
That's all I wanted to hear from someone, but now that he has you in front of him he doesn't know how to take it, no, don't fall for it Edward, it's a game of yours, everything you're saying must be a joke, after all, it's not the first time someone plays with his happiness.
Meanwhile, your head is burning for not knowing what to say, you have so many things to confess to Edward, the urgent need to tell him that he looks great in that plaid shirt, or that his hairstyle makes him look incredibly handsome, so many options but you decide to keep them to yourself.
The elevator goes down to the first floor when the doors open Edward gets out first almost running but you stop him "Edward, you're going to the subway right?".
"Yeah, are you going too?" he asks innocently and you almost say yes just to tag along, but you have a better idea.
"Oh no, I have a car" you look at the watch on your wrist "It's late enough and it might be dangerous, I can give you a ride home, if you want" you pose crossing your fingers internally, you hoped it wouldn't sound so weird your proposal.
Edward could pass out right there, this all sounds like a romantic movie I used to watch when the orphanage had a worn-out TV but it worked "I don't want to be a bother".
You gasp "Impossible!" you reach over and grab his arm "I would never think something like that."
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
All Edward thought as he looked at the streets of Gotham was that all is lost, desolate, and full of evil, he examined the people silently on their paths to the subway, as he blended into the crowd of god-forsaken people.
But now he's sitting in a beautiful carriage next to you.
The streets are still the same, and the people are still there, yet he rejoices in the privilege of not being on his way to the disastrous subway, that he doesn't have to put up with gangsters bothering office workers like him.
One thing is obvious, he hates your kind, he loathes them with all his being, all the while wondering if there is hope in this life, and it seems that fate has answered him.
Yes, there is hope, and it's you.
And he admits it in the depths of his being, the attention you give him scares him a little, it must be something normal for people to treat each other like that, with kindness and respect, but you make him feel special and that makes him not want to get away from you, he craves that attention little by little.
You look out of the corner of your eye at Edward who is contemplating the view from the passenger window, once again absorbed in his thoughts, what a cute thing to do, you did not regret it taking him home.
Once your father told you when you were little that someday a rich man would give you a great life and you wouldn't have to worry about anything else, that you wouldn't have to lift a finger for your husband to give you everything you want.
But now? You wanted nothing more than to give Edward that comfortable life. Oh, Edward had you wrapped around his finger and didn't know it.
"What are you thinking about?" Zach spoke to you sitting comfortably in his new office, next to another colleague whose name you don't know but they were chatting about trivial things, Edward was keeping busy doing his work and you didn't want to interrupt him, so now you are here.
"Edward should be promoted" you replied looking straight at him "I should mention it to Mr.stone".
The man in the blue suit laughs "Come on honey, Nashton doesn't have what it takes for this position".
"And you have what it takes?" you ask him with some distaste, you're not his honey.
"Uh, yes" he still laughs and the girl next to you laughs along with him "But well, I don't want to talk about him anymore, have you been to Paris?" he expertly changes the subject to which your companion replies.
Without answering his question you leave the office, but unexpectedly the office door opens unexpectedly.
A somewhat dejected and uneasy Edward enters the room so quickly that Zach is startled, shouting "Jesus!".
"Edward?" you speak to him and he turns to look at you and smiles softly, raises his hand in greeting, and turns to Zach.
"Uh, can I have a word?" Edward murmur to the man in the blue suit who reluctantly gets up and follows him toward the exit.
You sigh, Edward looks good in anything he wears "what are they talking about?" you say quietly.
"Who cares?" replies the other woman in the room.
"I care."
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Walking down the stairs towards your desk, Zach runs in the opposite direction down the stairs past you and ignores you "I'm taking you upstairs with me, Rain Man!" he yells excitedly.
Oh, so he must mean Edward since he gave him that nickname recently. Back in your cubicle, you pick up a piece of paper from the floor and hand it to Edward, who has disorganized his desk.
"Did you find anything?" you put the paper on his desk, Edward nods his head with clear happiness, starting to tell you in detail about the discrepancy between accounts, and various financial terms confused you, but seeing him so cheerful talking numbers makes you so happy you just listen to him.
"You're so smart Edd," you said without filters in your mouth, you open your eyes in surprise realizing how you said it, in a gawking tone.
"Tha-thank you" he takes his red pen that has black ink in it and starts playing with it.
You sit stiffly clearing your throat to look more decent "I hope they notice your effort."
You and Edward stare at each other as if it were a staring contest, you both smile comfortably together, he squirms with happiness at the compliments you usually give him, and on the other hand, just the fact of making him smile delights you.
You hear a noise coming from the second floor, Zach energetically descends the stairs and Edward approaches him still maintaining his excitement.
"What did they say?" asks Edward without batting an eye, Zach grabs his shoulder with an unconvincing smile.
"He said it was probably nothing" the man in the suit informs and Edward's eyes widen in surprise "What? But-" he tries to speak but Zach stops him, "He said it was a mistake, but it was a good job! He even bought me lunch!" he starts to walk away to start walking up the stairs "Don't worry! I've got it from here, bud"
"But!-" Edward shouts but Zach no longer hears him, his serious countenance turned to disappointment, again he was ignored, standing there, static and beginning to darken his mind, a formulated hatred, screaming internally in his conscience for the time he invested in analyzing the account.
"Idiot" you whisper looking towards Zach's office, you have to do something to make them notice Edward's effort, you pick up your bag and walk over to the man still standing there "Let's get something to eat, Eddie"
He comes out of his trance and feels your arm touching his "Yes, let's go".
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"So, what do you think?" Edward asks your opinion on his plan to talk to Mr.stone. "It won't work, trust me" you comment eating a French fry as you see Edward in front of you, the two of them standing in a booth at the nearest diner in the office, a place set in the eighties with a menu with plenty of burgers and sodas "He'll just tell you it's a mistake, but I know it's not".
Edward looks at you in confusion, eating his food and thinking that you are right about his could-be plan being in vain. But he doesn't know what to do to make his work stand out or at least get an explanation as to why his discovery was a mistake.
Clicking his tongue quickly, you noticed, this whole thing is fixed, if that investigation is done in depth there will be a danger for everyone involved, it was expected that Mr. stone dismissed the case without much thought.
This company could be up to dirty tricks and that's what you fear the most, is your father involved too? It's time for you to do your investigation.
"What goes up and doesn't come back down?" Edward asks shyly, it's like he's testing the waters with you.
"Is it a riddle?" you smile stopping eating to turn your attention to Edward who shrinks back in his seat "Don't you like them?" he says unsure, nodding you told him "Yes, but I'm not that good" you shift restlessly around in your seat, trying to hide how elated you are, it seems like the two of you are a couple on a date.
"Your age".
Your naive fantasies are distorted back to reality "what?".
"That's the answer to the riddle" he comments taking a bite of his food "They're not that hard, it's just a matter of thinking about it."
"You make it sound so simple" you laugh wiping your mouth with a napkin "I'd rather you tell me the answer."
When you are next to Edward, that self-critical part of him that puts him off disappears, you make him feel like he is normal, in that he doesn't have to hide his personality and you pay close attention to him when he talks about his crosswords, he is starting to enjoy your company, he has fallen, he is so weak to your charms, he takes a sip of his drink and nods his head, he will tell you the answer to every riddle he knows.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
It's two in the morning when the ringtone of your cell phone rings, you raise your arm lazily to reach it from your bedside table "Who is calling?" you ask with a sleepy voice, whoever it is you were going to hang up the call in less than a second if it wasn't because you heard Edward's voice calling your name frantically.
"Eddie? Eddie! what's wrong?" your eyes widen in alarm, leaving your tired mode to a worried one "Are you okay?".
"I saw them!" he shouts through the call, you pick up the sound of the rain and the city in the background "I saw them all!".
You get out of bed and put on a sleeping robe, still holding the phone to your ear, "Where are you?" you grab your car keys and head for the front door of your apartment.
"I...I" stop talking making you worry more "I'm outside the iceberg Longue!".
"I'm on my way, don't hang up please".
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
"Sorry " Edward muttered sitting on the floor, warming himself near the fireplace in your new apartment, like emancipation from your parent's house.
You take your time drying her hair with a towel and hum softly, you dreamt of this before, the two of you sitting there appreciating the warm fire and holding each other to feel the warmth of each other, but you didn't want things to happen this way, you have so many questions to ask, what happened, what did Edward see to put her in that state? You decide not to ask that for the moment.
"What are you apologizing for?" you whisper to him gently, not wanting to overwhelm him any more than he already is.
"I disturbed you in the middle of the night" she speaks softly cringing trying to dry herself more with the towel she has covering her entire body.
"Listen Eddie" you finish drying his hair and sit down next to him, the two of you on the floor near the fireplace for warmth, seeing his distressed face you reply "I would never think you were a bother, on the contrary, I'm so glad you called me."
Edward is still silent, the iceberg lounge event still haunts him, making his thoughts turn to mush and behave so shyly "Why are you doing this?" he asked sharply, he doesn't know whether to trust you anymore, he saw his boss talking to a criminal, you may even be in on it, he just wants some peace or else his mind would explode.
Their gazes meet, your cheeks get so hot you could be mistaken for having a fever, and you have an inexplicable fear of confessing your love for Edward, of telling him that you want to give him the whole world without it sounding like an exaggeration.
"I like you" you confess, expecting a negative reaction, but you only hear Edward's voice crack "really?".
"Yes," you let out a nervous laugh at how impressed he is "do I need to say that again?".
Of course, Edward is still not speaking and you take his hands "Edward Nashton" you move closer until your face is inches away from his "I like you".
"You..." he muttered closing his eyes and squeezing your hands, he's hurting, he's terrified of all of this, that it's not real, he's just telling the truth.
You repeated "I like you" to him, enduring the small pain he makes by squeezing your hands tightly.
He starts to cry, an impulse of such strong emotions he feels at the same time, a catharsis that makes his eyes blur and he just sobbed in front of you, no one had ever said such words to him that he feels it's all too good to be true, Edward doesn't feel worthy enough of your love.
But you just look at him anyway, letting him cry whatever he wants, knowing that he's not ready to say the same words to you yet, you don't mind wiping the small residue of tears on his cheeks "Do you want some water?" you offer in a calm voice, Edward shakes his head and says "Stay".
You pull him close to your body and they embrace, you can feel the warmth of his sturdy body and you notice that you prefer that warmth to the warmth of the fireplace.
You smelled Edward's chest as he kept hugging you, they were like that for so long that you forgot the minutes that passed.
You smile still crushing your face by his collarbone, there are so many things going through your mind, a total devotion that you want to give to Edward so he is safe and doesn't have to live in more danger, when you sniff his shirt you perceive the smell of the humidity caused by the rain, remembering the reason why he is here "What happened Eddie?" you talk to him with clear concern when he called you, he was very scared and you were afraid of what could have happened to him in those parts of the city.
Edward is silent and just keeps staring at the fire in the fireplace with a sign of fear, why even he can't process what he saw, Zach and Mr. stone at the entrance of the club along with a criminal who several days ago was on trial. He almost threw up in disgust, why are they there, what were they doing? You don't want to imagine all the things they did in that club, the image you had of the boss was shattered into a thousand pieces, the faces of those people merged with the mud puddles on the dirty floor, and on autopilot, you grabbed your cell phone and called you.
"Nothing," he says hoping it sounded convincing but it wasn't, you pull away from the embrace and look into his eyes, seeing through his glasses and you notice him bewildered, stunned.
"Tell me the truth."
Even so with the confession of love you gave him doubt, inside his being he has an immense terror of you making fun of him for how he took a simple shameless situation.
"Did they do something to you? " this time your meek voice was changed to an angry "Did they hurt you?" just the thought of someone touching a hair on his head makes you angry.
"No, no, no" he replied "Remember that case I told you about a few days ago?".
It takes you a few seconds to remember which case he was talking about " about the animal rescue?".
"Yes, I....." he gulps "I saw Zach and Mr.stone with one of the people involved."
You open your eyes full of surprise at Edward's statement, to this point it wasn't a crazy thing to happen "Shit."
"Yeah" he nods "Something's going on and it's not very good" he opines and you couldn't agree with him more, jeez, Edward just uncovered a sewer of fucking KMTJ corruption. "Damn" you curse still in shock. "Did they see you?" you ask.
"No, they didn't even notice me."
"Good" you snort "I also noticed something weird is going on" Edward hums with affirmation, he shudders at everything that happened in one night, he shouldn't have gone to that animal shelter.
"Hey, don't worry" you whisper touching her cheek "it's going to be okay".
Edward feels your warm palm, and closes his eyes softly absorbing all the affection you give him, he never thought he would have such genuine contact with another person, for the first time in his life, he feels he's not alone anymore. But that soft feeling starts to mix with something darker, he spent five years working for an idiot who only takes advantage of his talent. Something new emerges in him, but he doesn't know how to name it, it's only a matter of time before his mind becomes clear.

hi, everyone! this is autumn (she/they, 21+) and you might also find me at @svnlght ! ♡ and i bring you yet another of my babies: moon taeho, a part time server + university student (major in architecture) that is just trying to make it through (and either be finally loved by his parents or finally let go of his desire for their validation); overall, he's a sweet person with a touch of grumpy and forever dark circles under his eyes. here is profile and here is his pinterest! as always, under the cut there's more details of his bio + plot ideas!
his family is pretty ordinary despite them being sort of rich considering his dad is the ceo of an architecture company and his mom a famous graphic designer, but just weren't much of the parental type.
so when taeho is born out of an accident, they don't know what to do with him but they at least try (not very successfully) until they get tired of that too and taeho is mostly left to his own devices since a little too young.
things don't get better when his younger brother is born as the apple of his parents' eyes, a child that came when they actually wanted one and used the excuse that he was born with a sick body to give him more attention than to taeho (but then things didn't change when his little brother got healthy later on).
so he learned how to be an adult a little too soon and how to look after himself; surprisingly he doesn't really resent neither his parents nor his brother for it and he does love them dearly, would die and kill for them, even if the relationship with his parents is still awkward at best.
was (and still is) a good student with good grades and as much as he just wanted to chill throughout his school years, he still ended up class president more than once and almost if not all of his group assignments he ended up as the group's leader because at the end of the day he's very critical and methodical about things, esp academic work, so he ends up taking charge just so things will be up to his standards. he also has very dependable vibes so people end up relying on him a lot too so in the end he does end up in positions of leadership even if the i in his mbti wants otherwise.
characteristics that he carries with himself to this day. hence why new semester is yet another broken promise that he'll just chill in group tasks and agree with everything.
moves to seoul for university in a way to try to escape the awkward environment that seems to linger whenever he's in the same space as his parents; besides daegu isn't a city that he necessarily sees his life being at so expanding his horizons to seoul seemed like a good idea.
receives an allowance from his parents but still works part time at a cafe to earn money and use as little (if at all) the money that he gets from his parents, deciding to use it only for extreme emergencies.
wanted connections !
classmates ! someone who loves doing projects with him because taeho does most of hard work anyway or maybe someone who doesn't like doing projects with him because you two end up always bumping heads due to difference of opinions and no one is too willing to give in.
rent-a-boyfriend ! someone who is in need of a fake boyfriend for whatever reason (introduce him to their family so they'll be kicked out left alone / impress their in a relationship!friends / they joked about having a bf and missed the timing to say it was a joke so now they have to keep the lie up, etc etc) and for some reason taeho ends up being your guy.
coworkers at cheongsudang cafe ! someone who tease hims for the way he doesn't have exactly the most friendly of the faces even when he's serving costumers (but he's still known as one of the cute servers); someone who sees him off work and is completely off guard when discovering that he has a full sleeve of tattoos since he usually has them covered for work, is also very surprised by the piercings too since they assumed he just didn't seem like the type.
regulars / costumers at cheongsudang cafe ! maybe someone that he sees almost everyday and they always order the same thing so ofc that he's going to memorize their order; someone he realizes might not be having the best day and he's feeling particularly generous so he decides to get them a little baking good on (his tab) the house along with their coffee; someone who sees that he's having a bad day and tries to buy him coffee or whatever instead and as much as taeho appreciates it, he can't really have anything on the clock (but with some insisting, he'll def keep it for his break).
ex(es) / crushes / weird flirtationship that looks more like bickeringship / blind date(s) or not so much blind date(s) / smoking one of us always has the lighter when the other doesn't buddies / anime/manga/manhwa buddies / gym you're the only reason i didn't break my strike yet buddies or even gym rivals to gym buddies / tba if i manage to come up with more of them !
#jongno:hello#ooc.#the way i fell asleep three times writing this#so i'll just leave this here and deal with the rest tomorrow#is it too obv all my brain power went to kiha's intro??#might add more plot ideas later when i'm not half dead
