WangXian are that couple they live a good life with their own sex room/ basement. (Whatever you call it.) That way they don’t need to go rent a place.
It doesn’t look a thing like a stereotypical sex room/ basement, it’s elegant, classy and sophisticated.
I’m thinking kind of berlesque club vibe, because we all know Wei Ying loves to tease his man. It’s colour scheme would be black and red with some white accents for Lan Zhan. There’d be lace, feathers, velvet and of course leather.

✕ ⸻ BIO
to be updated & perfected more in the future
Her father left when she was about six years old, abandoning her, her mother, and her older brother, Léon Émile, for another family. But the truth was, she was the "other" family—the hidden child, left behind when he returned to his settlement. Her mother, a skilled seamstress who worked with both performers and everyday people, became Celeste’s anchor. Celeste often accompanied her mother, learning the delicate art of creating costumes and the allure of performance. It was through these experiences that her early love for glamour and the stage began to take root.
When Celeste was eight, her father passed away, but her family was excluded from his funeral. His death was a bitter reminder of the abandonment she had felt, yet there was no closure—just silence from the man who had once been her father.
Around the age of ten, Celeste’s telepathic powers began to surface, though at first, she had no way of understanding the sudden influx of others' thoughts and emotions. In crowded spaces, the flood of voices and feelings became unbearable, causing intense migraines and forcing her to retreat into herself. Her mother, unable to fully comprehend what Celeste was experiencing, tried her best to create a peaceful environment at home, offering the quiet comfort of solitude whenever Celeste needed it. Léon, ever the protective older brother, taught her grounding techniques and did his best to shield her from the worst of the mental noise. He often became the one who kept her from becoming completely overwhelmed, serving as her calm in a world full of chaos.

✕ ⸻ HEADCANONS
Emotionally Charged Performances: Celeste tailors each performance to the audience’s mood. Before stepping on stage, she takes a moment to mentally “scan” the room, letting their collective emotions dictate her energy and song choice. On nights when the crowd is subdued, her acts are sultry and hypnotic, designed to draw them in slowly. If the audience is lively, she feeds into their energy with bold, electrifying routines.
Hypnotic Gaze: Celeste uses her telepathy subtly on stage, locking eyes with individual audience members to project emotions like desire, longing, or awe. It’s not mind control—just enough to make them feel seen and connected. Her stare is legendary, and regulars swear it’s impossible to look away when she’s performing.
Storytelling Through Movement: Her choreography tells a story, often weaving themes of heartbreak, empowerment, or seduction. She’s known for starting her routines slowly, building anticipation before exploding into a dramatic finale.
Live Vocals: Celeste sings live during her acts. Her smoky, jazz-infused voice captivates the room, with many claiming her singing feels like she’s whispering secrets directly into their souls.
Opulent Glamour: Her wardrobe features intricate costumes dripping with jewels, feathers, and vintage-inspired elements. She favors deep, moody colors like midnight blue, emerald green, and burgundy, accented with gold or silver. But that won't stop her from wearing other colours.
Interactive Accessories: Celeste incorporates props like crystal-tipped canes, oversized feather fans, or even a cascading silk scarf. She often uses these to enhance her storytelling or to direct the audience’s attention where she wants it. She'll even work with the audience if she's feeling the energy.
Mindful Design: She makes the costumers herself to ensure her outfits are as functional as they are stunning. Her costumes often feature flowing fabrics or detachable pieces, allowing her to reveal layers as her performance progresses.
Lighting Design: She incorporates lighting into her performances to mirror the emotional journey she wants the audience to experience. Soft blues and purples for melancholy numbers, fiery reds and golds for passionate routines. On nights when she’s in full control of her powers, she might subtly dim the lights around her to create a more intimate, dreamlike atmosphere.
Hair and Makeup: Her hair is styled into vintage waves or dramatic updos adorned with jeweled pins or veils, adding to her air of mystique. She opts for bold makeup, with deep red lips and smoky eyes that make her gaze even more magnetic. Her cheekbones are always highlighted to catch the light on stage, enhancing her ethereal aura.
Telepathic Flourish: Occasionally, Celeste will “project” an emotion into the crowd, ensuring her finale leaves them breathless. A well-timed surge of euphoria or desire can turn an already stunning act into an unforgettable experience. When she performs her most vulnerable routines, she allows the audience to feel a glimmer of her own emotions—longing, resilience, or heartbreak—creating an intimate connection that transcends the stage.
Rituals Before a Show: Before every performance, Celeste sits in silence, grounding herself with deep breaths to ensure her telepathy doesn’t overwhelm her. She visualizes weaving her emotions into her act like threads in a tapestry.
Personal Touches: Asside from her costumes, Celeste often designs her own show posters and adds subtle personal touches—like her name written in the shape of constellations, a nod to the interconnectedness she feels with the minds around her.
Coping Mechanisms: Celeste practices meditation and visualization exercises to strengthen her mental barriers. She imagines herself inside a fortress with thick walls, only opening the gates when she chooses to. She uses noise-canceling headphones and binaural beats to drown out intrusive thoughts during particularly bad days.
Journaling: She keeps a journal where she writes about her dreams, thoughts she’s overheard, or her feelings about her powers and the people around her.
Home Life: Her apartment in Sector 10 is cozy but eclectic, filled with vintage furniture, soft lighting, and plants. She keeps it as a sanctuary from the chaos of the outside world. She has a white Persian cat named Ivy, who’s both a source of comfort and a demanding diva. Ivy’s aloof but affectionate nature balances Celeste’s need for calm.
Record Player: Celeste owns a vintage record player that her father gave her as a gift for her fifth birthday. The record player is one of the few things Celeste has left from her father. Though she feels betrayed by him, she treasures it as a symbol of the happier times they shared. It’s a beautifully crafted piece with a walnut wood finish and brass accents, a timeless design that has aged with elegance. Despite its age, the player works perfectly because she’s meticulous about its maintenance. She even repaired the needle once with guidance from her brother, Léon. She loves seeing what people gravitate toward, sometimes using it as a quiet way to read their mood without relying on her powers.
The Record Collection: Her collection of vinyl records is vast and eclectic, stored in a floor-to-ceiling shelf she saved up for. The records are organized by mood rather than genre, with categories like "Bittersweet Melancholy," "Smoky Jazz Nights," and "Songs for When the World Feels Too Loud." The collection includes everything from her father’s old favorites—classic rock, blues, and folk music—to her personal discoveries, like soulful R&B, atmospheric trip-hop, pop, hip hop, rock, and vintage French chansons. If it's a vinyl; she has it. Some records still bear his handwritten notes on the covers, like "Play this when you’re feeling brave" or "Perfect for a rainy day." She’s memorized which songs correspond to those notes and feels a pang of nostalgia every time she reads them.
Sanctuary Time: Celeste listens to records every Sunday morning, calling it her "sanctuary time." She brews a cup of coffee or tea, sits by the window with Ivy curled up nearby, and lets the music fill the room. When she’s overwhelmed by her telepathy, the crackling warmth of vinyl provides an anchor, something tactile and real to ground her mind. Celeste has an unspoken rule: anyone who visits her apartment gets to pick a record to play.
✕ ⸻ QUESTIONNAIRE
how do they feel about living in sol city? have they always lived there or did they travel from another settlement?
Born and raised in Sol City, Celeste has always felt like the city is both a part of her and a puzzle she’s still trying to solve. The towering skyscrapers, neon-lit streets, and unrelenting pace have shaped her into the person she is, but they’ve also left her with an unshakable sense of restlessness.
do they trust the council’s leadership? why or why not?
Celeste doesn’t trust the Council’s leadership, but she’s pragmatic about its role in maintaining some semblance of order in Sol City. Her skepticism stems from both personal experiences and her telepathic insight into the minds of people in power.
if they chose their sector and profession, why did they make that choice? if they didn’t, why not? were they happy with their assignment or not?
Celeste’s profession, while not her first choice, became a means of survival and self-expression. She’s learned to find satisfaction and empowerment in it, even if it’s a complicated relationship. Sol City didn’t give her many choices, but over time, she carved out a space for herself in the bustling world of Sector 10. Would she choose a different path if she could? Maybe. But for now, the stage is where she feels most alive, even as she navigates the complexities of being both the object of desire and a powerful, independent performer.
what’s one object that they always keep on their person?
Celeste keeps a small, black leather bounder journal with her. It is used for mental escape, a creative outlet, & a safe haven for her thoughts.
what is your character’s ability (or abilities)?
Celeste possesses telepathic abilities, which allow her to read, influence, and sometimes project thoughts. Her powers are both a gift and a curse, deeply influencing her life in Sol City.
what can your character do? what are their strengths?
Celeste can hear the thoughts of others within a certain range, particularly in crowded areas like the clubs & streets of Sol City. This often feels like a constant hum in her mind, with voices overlapping & competing for attention. While she can tune some out, the constant flow of others' thoughts can be overwhelming. Her telepathy is particularly strong in moments of emotional or physical proixmity, such as during performances, when she can feel the audiences's thoughts as they react to her. She can subtly influences thoughts or others, planitng ideas or sugestions in this minds. It's less invasive & controlling than mind control, as it os only momentarily & cannot fully break their free will. It can allow her to nudge people toward particular actions oredecions, though she rarely uses it to manipulate others in a malicious way. She might use this power to enhance her performances by making her audience feel a particular emotion, or to calm somone down if their thoughts are too erratic. She can send her thoughts to others, either directly into their minds or as a sort of telepathic communication. She uses this ability sparingly, often in intimate settings when she wants to communicate silently or when it’s necessary for a performance. It’s a way of connecting with others without speaking, which she finds both fascinating and occasionally unnerving.
what can’t they do? what are their weaknesses?
The constant barrage of others’ thoughts is a never-ending source of mental exhaustion for Celeste. While she can filter out some thoughts, especially those that aren’t immediate or invasive, the sheer volume of internal monologues—combined with her inability to fully control which thoughts reach her—can lead to overwhelming sensory overload. In busy, crowded spaces, this becomes even more difficult to manage, resulting in frequent headaches, fatigue, and emotional strain. When someone close to her is emotionally distressed, she often feels it too, even if she’s not directly reading their thoughts. This vulnerability makes her incredibly sensitive to the moods of others, sometimes leaving her emotionally drained. She has learned to suppress her abilities using medication, but this doesn’t stop the occasional emotional turmoil or exhaustion from still sneaking through. Celeste has no control over random thoughts that invade her mind, including those that come to her in her dreams. Often, she experiences vivid, chaotic dreams that seem like a mishmash of emotions and memories that don’t belong to her. Sometimes, these dreams feel like distant memories, and other times they are nothing more than a rush of disconnected imagery. Her telepathic abilities occasionally cause her to sleepwalk, "acting out" the thoughts she has absorbed during the day. This makes it difficult for her to differentiate between her own desires and those she’s inadvertently picked up from others, particularly when it comes to her emotional well-being. Celeste’s telepathic connection amplifies her emotional ties with others. While she has some control over projecting thoughts or calming others, she struggles with blocking the emotional states of those around her—especially people she’s emotionally close to. This vulnerability means that during emotionally charged events, she often becomes overwhelmed by the feelings of others, unable to differentiate her emotions from theirs. It can create moments of emotional turmoil for Celeste, where her own feelings get muddled with the distress or desires of the people she’s connected to, particularly in environments like her performances, where her audience's reactions are so intense.
is there anything else you’d like to specify about them?
Celeste takes prescription medication to suppress the overwhelming flood of thoughts from others. While the medication dulls the constant noise, it doesn’t eliminate it entirely. Instead, it creates a manageable “background hum.” She’s careful about her dosage, as taking too much leaves her feeling disconnected and numb, while too little brings the chaos of unfiltered thoughts. Her medication often causes headaches, drowsiness, or occasional brain fog, which she combats with strong coffee or herbal teas. She sometimes feels a lingering guilt about needing the medication, as if it makes her less connected to her telepathic abilities, even though she knows it’s necessary for her sanity.

The Berlesque community it the most inclusive community I have ever met. I was watching a show and a group came out that was entirely plus size women (looked just let me!) And the crowd went WILD! They got the most cheering and praise out of all the groups that preformed.
On top of being inclusive to fat people and saying fat is still beautiful, they also have 2SLGBTQIA+ rep, and people of all different ages! One woman was a grandma!
They even talk about consent before each show, saying that a dancer will not touch you if you say no and all that. This made me feel so much better as someone that doesn't like touch.
All in all, the most welcoming community I've ever been in.
It does not surprise me that the art of a burlesque dancer is so lovingly painted, rolls and all.
