Funny thing: In Job God compares godself to a terrifying legendary sea monster. And for Christmas, God comes to God's people to disrupt oppression and bring about the downfall of the rich and powerful.

DARLING, AND I WILL BRING YOU HOME ── KENJI SATO
── summary: While Ken and Emi trained, played together, you were in the stands, cheering them on; unearthing a memory from Kenji's mind.
── content warnings: F!reader, fiance!kenji, scenes of Ken and Emi playing together, mention of Emiko and Professor Sato, a little angst but with comfort in the end!
── word count: 899!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Lets go, girl!"
Kenji's voice exclaims, in a high and benevolent tone, highlighting a magnanimous animation and excitement for the peaceful environment, so serene and enchanting; hearing the return of his voice through the stillness of the place. — A lovely place, capable of leaving anyone speechless. — A space to call his own.
Fixing and comfortably positioning the cap, Sato takes two steps back and raises his hand for the second time. — Waiting for the attention and focus he were looking for.
“You can do it, you know that, don’t you?” — He questioned with support, helping the big baby lizard; who, in response, grunted gently, without lacking her tenderness, and shook her small, and immense, arms. — "Of course you know!" — Exprimiu, orgulhoso.
“Go, Emi!” — Claps, associates of euphoria, entering into a condition of encouragement, from you; earning affectionate glances and admiring expressions from Sato and the baby. — “Make me proud!” — You got into the rhythm, feeling the wave of encouragement, content in the crowd. — Like you did every time you watched Kenji's games.
Sitting in the stands, made, technologically, by Mina, which easily reproduced a real and authentic Baseball field, containing all the tiny and relevant details. — Including the fact that that field was always chosen by Kenji. — You watch them play.
Moments, scenes, like these had already become routine between you; bringing cycles of leisure, distraction and a way to teach practical notions to Emi. — Which was, faithfully, important and approved by Professor Sato. — In addition to directing, training and, again, further preparing Kenji's passes for the championship; you advised him, agreeing that it could help him.
"Did you hear her?" — He tilted his head toward you, earning an excited squeal and a blink, with precision, from Emi. — "Pay attention to the ball, like last time." — Kenji swung the small ball, attracting her concentration, and smiled when he realized he was reaching it. — "There you go!" — With a strong throw, intending a stable impulse, Kenji threw the ball towards the adorable creature.
With the basic reflexes, which, by the way, were being amplified, upon seeing the small object heading towards her, Emi, holding the huge bat, easily bounced the ball and shot so far that it disappeared into the programmed sky. — Being worthy of an incredible play.
"That's right, baby!" — You shouted, standing up, quickly, with enthusiasm, burning with exaltation and vibration, raising your arms up. — The baby lizard, finding your voice, directed her head towards you; smiling, dazzled by her celebration and, even though she didn't understand so many things, she happily got excited.
It was not possible, much less plausible, to counter the emotions, and old sensations, that came from Kenji's chest; conceiving an ardor of passion, bonds of fascination upon hearing their cries of celebration. — In addition to your claps, the way you had gotten up and approached the field, wanting, in some way, to capture every little point of the play. — He remembered, with such grace and delicacy, the moments when his mother watched him play.
Not missing any matches, even training, she was present; shouting, clamoring, cheering for little Kenji. — Recording all the games, leaving them as souvenirs and secretly sending them to his father; Ken wasn't aware of that, he wasn't that. — Emiko was always there for him and with him.
And watching, witnessing you accompanying him, lifting him, supporting him and guiding him for so long — now, caring, by his side, for a young Kaiju — guides Kenji towards a light, deeply, pure and loyal to all the love he could feel in his heart. life. — The same light that guided his father to his mother.
"Now, run the bases, girl!" — He warned, smiling and ecstatic about the result, and signaling Mina to follow Emi, who quickly flew towards her. — "I'm proud!" — He exclaimed and was responded to with a loud and cheerful, and slightly breathless, scream.
Moving away from where he was, leaving Emi running across the field, Kenji took steps towards you, never stopping to smile, even more so, hearing the baby's amused grunts and seeing the adorable and charming expression on your face. — Also, influenced by the fact that you are wearing one of his caps. — Contemplating you once again.
"She's getting better and better." — You said, biting the lower part of your cheek, bowing your head, looking at the young man and raising one of your hands to his t-shirt, repairing a small and insignificant dent.
"That's good, however…" — He looked up, acting as if he were thinking about something convenient, promising. — "…i feel like our girl could surpass me at any moment." — He joked, in a mix of drama and suffering.
Taking you by surprise, even though you were so used to his comments, you couldn't contain a beautiful and melodic laugh, shaking your head, refusing to believe his words; but, feeling your heart warm when you heard the magnanimous and dazzled way in which Kenji recognized Emi. — Letting that phrase repeat itself in your mind.
Kenji was right, you hadn't, and wouldn't dare, disagree about what he had said; no one could.
"Our girl…" — You murmured, conveying tenderness and softness in the small words. — Resting your head on Kenji's chest, being able to hear his heartbeat, and feeling one of his strong and safe arms around your waist, bringing caresses to the area, you and Sato saw Emi running through the large and beautiful field.

Kaiju No.8 but Kafka's kaiju form is huge and he has a lot more difficulty retaining his human visage. Yup you read that right. I'm screwing around with Kafka's kaiju half again although things might get a bit eldritch. Enjoy.
Let's first start with our himbo's kaiju descriptor. Instead of 6'4, No.8 is now an astounding 68 ft 11 inches tall paired alongside a body type similar to Monsterverse Godzilla. Big beefy that comes with a long thick tail since his kaiju form honestly feels off without it.
Tumblr media
Yes Kafka did jump out of the window at the hospital when he began to transform. Reno watched him do it in sheer horror before witnessing the man rapidly shift into kaiju form under 40 seconds. You can say their attempt to avoid the Defense Force was even more awkward than in canon.
Luckily Kafka learned halfway through the trek that he could blend into the surroundings like a chameleon. He had to close his eyes and have Reno guide him though as this is a part of his body he couldn't camouflage. Another issue also cropped up that night than just yellow rivers on the streets. Kafka was hungry. (Yeah he eats the spider Yoju.)
Now Kafka has a lot more difficulty keeping the kaiju inside suppressed. At most, he can stay human for 4 hrs before he's forced to transform. The kaiju is 'just too big' in his words. He also runs the risk of transforming whenever unconscious.
Thus Kafka was forced to live in the wilderness than just give up his last chance at the Defense Force. He still works with the Monster Sweepers who play a much bigger role here than just emotional. Knowing Kafka's new appetite, they allow him to feed on the corpses.
The Sweepers also help him find a place in the mountains where he could live and sustain himself without causing others trouble. Although it wouldn't take long for the Defense Force to later find Kafka again. His massive size, difficulty to revert to human form, and people hiking where they shouldn't led to this.
Although the Defense Force don't kill him immediately. His strange behavior being the major reason why. Despite being a Kaiju, No.8 has only killed and eaten kaiju. Any humans that stumble upon him were either ignored, he tries to avoid or even more unusual benevolent.
This leads to a proposition about studying No.8. Should things go well and enough breakthroughs are provided, he would be captured. Whether it's for further study or attempts to turn No.8 into a guard dog is mixed.
Things only ramp up when their special interest reveals a new ability. He can create an avatar of sorts. A smaller clone body(canon form) that he could operate while his real one goes into autopilot. No.8 reverts to normal once the copy rejoins the original form or is destroyed.
An ability that slates him for capture by the Defense Force. Even moreso once he uses them for the Training Exam and First Mission incidents. Kafka will experiment with this power in hopes he could get more of his human life back.
You can say his new chance at the Defense Force isn't gonna be nice nor fun.

Kaijune - day 17: penetrate 🪲 🦿
Chaos Megalon
After Gigan’s defeat, an alien race known as Zetopyons followed its tract to earth. These beings are benevolent and lawful, planned to hunt down the rouge cyborg with their own creation that they worship as a god, Megalon. However, upon their arrival to the solar system… they suddenly changes course and began an attack on earth...
In truth, such a decision is not hard to understand. The solar system is now overran with powerful and unnaturally unstable kaijus number in the dozens, many of which are too powerful to even confront… Yet, as a race bound by law and order, for them to let such a dangerous place be is simply not an option.
As they look they realized that not only is Earth the source of the chaos, almost every kaijus that roams the planet are destroyers, and each have the power destroy entire planets worth of life forms- along with a massive tear that is barely clogged up with but a single benevolent kaiju. Knowing they are in way over their heads, they deployed Megalon before fleeing to seek help.
Megalon, after being left to on Earth in its pupa state, soon completes its metamorphosis and emerges. Addressing the most destructive threat around, it sees Rodan and made a B line towards its volcanic nest. Surprisingly, Gojira suddenly change course upon Megalon’s awakening and start moving towards the cyborg weapon in search of a confrontation, mistaking it for another cyborg kaiju, Gigan.
Of course, with the order to take out any kaiju it cross path with, Megalon have no qualms with confronting Gojira as well, slamming full speed into the atomic horror and punching a hole right through its torso with the combination of leg strength and drill arms. Ignoring the massive hole in its torso, Gojira began grappling the insectoid cyborg while being pushed for miles upon miles with each jump from Megalon.
different to Gigan who was made to be sharp, fast, and efficient in its killing, Megalon is built to be direct and powerful, fighting by leaping into the enemy and piercing them. Moreover, Megalon’s arsenal are more diverse than Gigan albeit less deadly. From powerful lightning to condensed napalms that explodes on contact, Megalon was more than capable of overwhelming Gojira. Beyond it all, Megalon have a natural power to freeze reality similar to that of Shimo. Unlike Shimo who express this ability in the form of a breath, however, Megalon can only use this ability to put up a flat barrier for a fraction of a second- yet, this barrier can still block all form of attack. With this power, not only can Megalon protect itself but also freeze the area beneath its paws, letting itself jump at full strength and not worry about sinking into the ground.
One would be hard pressed to find a kaiju that can best this juggernaut of a machine… but Gojira was one of those kaijus. With unrivaled regeneration and immense physical strength alone, Gojira was able to take on attacks one would consider lethal- without even letting go, all while slowly crushing the protective shell of Megalon and showering the cyborg with its atomic breath. Megalon, powerful as it was, was lacking in both regenerative powers and resilience, and was soon taking on damage beyond repair.
after a battle that was rather short but of unrivaled intensity, Megalon slump down, having one of its leg, its strongest asset, torn right out of its socket. In a last ditch attempt to take out Gojira, it open its maw to let out a final napalm barrage but was unfortunately hit in turn. Having an atomic breath blasting directly to the mouth, all the napalms within Megalon goes off, exploding itself from the inside out.

Ohhh wow, I didn't expect you to actually answer my question hahaha (new fav gif, ty).
I asked you about Shimothra because I recently listened to 'Good Luck Babe' by Chapell Roan and for some reason I imagined Mothra and Shimo... Idk if it's a popular ship but I wanted to ask your opinion because you're my favorite kaiju artist <33
So yeah, share your thoughts, it'll be fun!

the people yearn for old woman kaiju yuri and i will do my best to deliver 😤
GODDDDD UR HURTIN MEEEE ok that song for them is so gd angsty...... it's making me think of some au where they used to be paired up but got separated/think one another are dead......... only for shimo to be imprisoned/unreachable before they can reunite.......... and they both move on but not rly........... YOWZA im making myself sad ok i cant start with angst it hurtin oK OK lets back it up
ANGST ASIDE i think it is very cute. very very cute. and ripe for very interesting development. i wanna do some doodles for it once im done my current comms!!! i have ideas........
i will be fr and say i am such a multishipper goblin that the idea of a quad-polycule gets my brain gears going a bit more than 1on1 ships in a totally unique au because i think they should all love on each other (like goji n kong smooching and mosu n shimo smooching while mosu n goji high five each other do you see the vision. do you. do you see it.)
in regards to an au where they're a pair removed from the others tho i will say i am an absolute SUCKERRR for like. a char like shimo who has Missed Out on a lot due to being enslaved for so long, and a char like mothra, who is endlessly patient and empathetic unless you're ghidorah, helping shimo sort of.... get used to the world again. spending time together, introducing her to other benevolent kaiju, that kinda slow guiding hand that helps her regain autonomy and feel safe??? i WILL be crying in the club tyvm
i could yap for longer but i'd rather leave some ideas/interactions quiet until i can doodle them :3c soon soon

I think it's interesting that a lot of worm's greater threats are cases of transplanting villain archetypes from other media into it's setting, but without transplanting the opposing heroic archetype from that media
The Siberian is literally a stand (Manton's trick of hiding someplace nearby but safe so he can't be easily taken out while the protagonists deal with Sibby is literally the strategy of so many JoJo villains), but there's no opposing stand user present to properly fight it like in JoJo, leaving a seemingly invincible monster that can just plow through anything
The Endbringers are giant monsters attacking cities, but there are no benevolent kaiju, size-changing heroes, or giant robots to fight them, only a bunch of combatants firmly out of their weight and size class dealing with them, which leads to the casualty and destruction levels one would expect from such a match
Even the Entities are the kind of final boss you'd find in a jrpg or a Kirby game, but again, the kind of heroes found in those pieces of media that can go toe to toe with that kind of threat on an relatively equal level aren't present
There's probably more examples like this just aren't coming to mind right now

A TTRPG about Angels
I have not tested this yet, but I'm hoping to soon and I'm thinking maybe some people on here could offer feedback or try it themselves! The base system is something I think could be used as a template for other types of settings, by just swapping out the stats and changing the names of the other player options. Specifically I see it working well for one-shots and games where every player is a version of the same thing (mechs, witches, kaiju, etc).
It is four and a half pages long.
Concept:
Players take the roles of angels, eldritch and benevolent beings that exist outside of time and space. They manifest human-like forms on earth to fight evil and contain supernatural forces. They cannot change the course of destiny or history, but can alleviate suffering wherever or whenever they find themselves. Their time, however, is limited. An Angel’s mere presence can endanger and terrify the mortals they seek to protect, and so they must leave when their ability to conceal their true nature wanes.
Their human forms can be identified by subtle traits - objects they carry with symbolic meaning, the glow of their halos visible in their shadows, and a slight divine aura. As they create miracles and overcome challenges that mortals cannot, their visage slips away. They become more alien, more arcane, more detached. Some wear their masks impatiently and return to their true nature as soon as they have an excuse. Others cherish their time among humans, even mourning their inability to stay and live normal lives.

The Glowing Being of Midwest Angelica: Episode 006 - Paradise
...because I have so many thoughts/theories about this; I want to run it by the public, so you all can tell me if I need to take my tinfoil hat off or not 😆 So- this glowing being (that features in the thumbnail), what are they, exactly? We only see them (her?) twice in the episode for a few seconds at a time, yet I feel like they are the most intriguing thing we do see.
The being seems to be either incorporeal or made out of something we can't see with the naked eye: after the second appearance, Marcus remarks that he only saw the figure on his camera screen. Some commenters theorized that the figure is some kind of projection from the Akashic Plane; if so, from who/where? It's not clear (and I really didn't register it at first either), but based on a handful of comments, the figure looks vaguely feminine. Someone we haven't been introduced to yet? Maybe one of the unfortunate members/victims of the Long Pine Midwest Church?
Could it be alien in origin? They certainly don't resemble any form of Starkill we've encountered yet. Building off of this, we don't know why this figure suddenly appeared, or what their goals are. They very well could be another manifestation of the Starkill/AZ-001/Nero, trying to lure humans to their untimely death and/or assimilation.
That being said... whenever this figure appeared, I got the feeling that it was benevolent? Or at the very least, wasn't actively hostile: True, the glowing being did in fact exert some kind of influence on Marcus, as I found out by this exchange:
Tumblr media
After the night at the motel, Marcus states that he had an odd dream that night, but he felt strangely rejuvenated, and he felt the need to go back (something was "calling him"). While this might obviously sound sinister, maybe it was a good thing Marcus returned to the Starkill's lair, because it looked like someone was still alive in there (possibly Piso?). Right before Marcus reaches the Starkill lair, the glowing figure briefly appears before him again- was it guiding him to rescue? Plus, we've seen how quickly the infection takes hold, and Marcus appeared to be just fine? The description for "Paradise" says that two more tapes created by Marcus had been found, suggesting that he survived the end of this video.
If the glowing figure is indeed a benevolent force, and that indeed is Piso we see at the very end, it makes sense (from a narrative standpoint) that Marcus and Piso cross paths: they have the same goal- getting the truth out there.
So... where am I going with all of this?
There are certain little details, about the plot of Act 2 and Midwest Angelica as whole that I've been connecting like red strings on a corkboard. We all know the series is heavily inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, but the crux of my theorizing is rooted in the media that inspired NGE itself. Consider:
If indeed this glowing figure (a being of light, if you will) is a benevolent alien trying to fight the Starkill, that probably means it was already pursuing AZ-001 to Earth or keeping tabs on it.
It wouldn't be a big stretch to think that the glowing figure is/will be instrumental in combating against the Starkill threat: there are some parallels we can make between it and an EVA unit. EVA units can technically be considered female (like how the glowing figure appears), given that they're the souls of the pilots' mother, and there's this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going off of the above point... let's not gloss over the fact that the Beta Chunk was able to make a kaiju-sized Starkill:
Tumblr media
Even though I did say the glowing entity would likely be instrumental for fighting the Starkill threat, that doesn't mean the humans are counted out: there's probably going to be an attack team/force (HOME, or some other branch) that will aid in taking down these massive Starkill lifeforms (Operation Homebound might've been a false flag, but "Kill it With Fire" is definitely still a viable option).
So, without further ado, here's my unfounded prediction for how Act 2 will go: At some point, Marcus will sustain a critical injury, likely from something the Beta Chunk does. When this happens, he is finally able to see the glowing figure standing before him. The figure of light (an angel, perhaps, to use an Earth term) explains why they're there- they've been hunting the Starkill down, but they arrived too late. While they were doing their best to assist him and other humans in secret, the situation has gotten dire, so it's time for direct action. If Marcus allows them to merge with him, they will be able to manifest physically at full power. Marcus agrees. And finally, the Angel appears...
With the explosive defeat of the Beta Chunk, Marcus and the Angel become persons of interest globally, which is why the description mentions a Japanese official investigation in 2001. They have gone into hiding, as their work is not done. Dunno how aware AZ-001/Azazael is, but I doubt Nero would take it well that their giant Starkill mass got barbecued.
TL;DR: We got it all wrong, Midwest Angelica is not a Evangelion reference, it's an Ultraman reference.

To bring this chain of asks full circle, what are your top ten favorite Delicious in Dungeon/Dungeon Meshi monsters and why? Either on the basis of biology, design, or even story significance? What are your favorite dishes from Delicious in Dungeon? 😋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I thin the chapter that introduced Dungeon Meshi's take on living armor is the moment where most readers realize they're in for something special and more than just the gag manga it could have been. For me, it's the epitome of what makes Dungeon Meshi's world-building so special. Living Armors are a stock monster in fantasy fiction, and normally the thought that goes into them begins and ends with "a suit of armor moves on its own because magic." That's all they have to be for an audience to accept them and move on, and in most fiction, that's all they will be.
Dungeon Meshi, by contrast, came up with the most creative explanation for why a suit of armor would walk around and attack people I've ever encountered. It's so bizarre that it's fascinating on its own - BUT THEN, just to show she's a fucking master of story-telling, Ryoko Kui makes the process of our hero discovering the nature of living armor vital to stopping them, saving his friends, and making his way through the dungeon. Dungeon Meshi took a monster archetype that is usually little more than a footnote and turned it into a crucial and iconic story beat, one so important that it continues to figure in to the plot thereafter in the form of Laios's living sword, Kensuke.
Tumblr media
Griffins are a monster I have a great deal of fondness for, and one I feel should be more prominent given how iconic they are. There should be more kickass griffins in fiction, more memorable griffin stories, more griffins in general! Dungeon Meshi didn't reinvent the wheel with its take on griffins like it did with Living Armors, but its griffin/hippogriff arc is nonetheless one of the most important emotional beats in the story, and also led into the changeling arc, which is one of the funniest in the entire manga. They also gave griffins the gravitas as a monster that they rightfully deserve. A+ griffin use.
Tumblr media
The vegetable lamb is one of my favorite obscure medieval folklore monsters and seeing it show up in this manga made me so happy. It is exactly the kind of bonkers idea that fits perfectly into Ryoko Kui's fantasy world, perfect addition, no notes.
Tumblr media
I'm of two minds on how Quetzalcoatl has been reduced to a monster in pop culture instead of, you know, the benevolent god he was originally, but Dungeon Meshi's coatl at least gets a lot of gravitas and even plays a semi-heroic role in some scenes, which is better than most knockoff Q's get. Also the one in the manga itself is covered in psychedlic flower pictures because of SPOILERS and it's really cute.
Tumblr media
...Falin's chimera form is ridiculously hot in ways that make me look long and hard at myself in the mirror and wonder why I'm wired like this.
Tumblr media
On a less existential side of things, Laios's Ultimate Monster design is, for my money, the absolute best running gag in the manga, with the PERFECT punchline at the story's climax that you'll think you've guessed but trust me, you haven't quite. If you're looking at it and thinking, "That looks like what a four year old would draw when making a monster," you are right, and that is the gag, and trust me, it is ALWAYS funny when it pops up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How many slots do I have left? Four? Fuck it, let's talk about the dragons, we can go over I don't give a shit. The Red Dragon is the Heavy for the first third of the manga, and it's built up impressively throughout all the monster-eating shenanigans, so that when it finally arrives as this small-scale kaiju who makes the dungeon tremble and quake in its path, you really get a sense of dread attached to it. A lot of modern fantasy fiction gets lazy with dragons, content to let their cultural reputation do the work for them, but Kui made sure that when a dragon entered her story, it feels like an EVENT.
Tumblr media
I haven't watched the anime yet, but what I've seen shows they did a good job handling Kui's design, which has this wonderful blend of T.rex, sauropod, and crocodile to give it this primordial reptilian strength. I also love how they animated its Thor Thimble, it's a great touch.
About the only thing I'd change about the Red Dragon is its lack of wings, but then you see how the other dragon species look in Dungeon Meshi, and it makes more sense. Another trope of modern dragons I dislike is giving them all one body plan, when their mythic predecessors could have all sorts of arrangements and numbers of limbs. Kui's dragons follow suit - the red dragon is a stocky quadruped, green dragons have the hexapodal look with two wings and slightly more gracile proportions, we've got two-legged and two-winged wyverns, two-armed wyrms, multi-finned leviathans, Asian-style dragons, and even a big fluffy arctic dragon for those freaks out there who don't want dragons to have scales for some inexplicable reason. All of them are still very much dragons, but each one feels unique and broadens what a "dragon" can be in the setting. It's great, I love it, A+ dragon usage.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, yeah, there's one other dragon species I forgot to put up there - the Nightmares, which in your dreams look like, well, a nightmare, and in the waking world look like... shellfish. Apparently it's a Japanese pun that doesn't translate easily into English. They're not really my favorite monster but I knew if I included all the other dragons and not these guys then at least one person would feel compelled to "Um, actually" me. That nightmare form for the Nightmare looks pretty wicked, though.

Batman Contingencies: Gamera
Agamemnon Contingency: "The Last Hope"
Tumblr media
Gamera, known as 'The Last Hope' by the ancient Atlanteans, is also labeled the 'Guardian of The Universe' by JSDF, G-Force, and Monarch. Like Mothra, Gamera is a Guardian Kaiju known to defend the Earth, not necessarily humanity. From the records I've gathered referencing this creature from ancient Atlantean monoliths, Gamera is the last of a group of advanced, bio-engineered giant turtles created in the ancient past. The purpose is unclear, though there are many possibilities: To defend themselves, to combat something called 'The Shadow of Evil' and 'The Great Enemy', or to protect humanity. It is clear that despite Gamera being destructive, it's evident that he protects humanity, specifically children, from destructive Kaiju and hostile extraterrestrials. He was first discovered in 1965, awakening from his slumber after a nuclear warhead detonated in the Arctic.
Seeing the devastation from the blast, Gamera became enraged, laying waste to Tokyo once he reached landfall. His rampage came to an end when the JSDF lured him to an experimental rocket ship, launching him into space. He would return to Earth in 1995, thirty years after his rampage, the emergence of giant, avian-like Kaiju known as Gyaos emerged and wreaked havoc upon Japan. The JSDF and G-Force mobilized to combat the Kaiju, though Gamera proved to be the more benevolent when he saved the life of a young boy from the Gyaos. Through months of research, it was discovered that Gamera had a supernatural origin, unlike the number of monsters that were a result of radiation exposure. Gamera draws his power from a mystical life force known as Mana, which, according to Doctor Fate and Aquaman, is an essential essence that gave him life.
Despite Gamera being a Guardian of Earth, in his battles against Kaiju such as Gyaos, Virians, Legion, Irys, and Godzilla, he leaves collateral damage in his wake. His connection to humanity, namely a young woman named Asagi Kusanagi, thankfully restrains him from performing more reckless tactics. Through an Atlantean Magatama, a priest or priestess can command Gamera, sharing a psychic rapport with him. From what Oracle gathered regarding Miss Kusanagi, she's a woman with a conscious who believes in Gamera's role as one of Earth's Protectors. But, there was an incident where he fell under the thrall of a rogue scientist, Greta Karbone, who got hold of a Magatama, which she manipulated with her own latent telepathic abilities to gain control of him. With him enthralled, she used him along with her own creation, Viras, to lay waste to Paris but was thankfully stopped by Asagi and the arrival of Mothra.
Tumblr media
Gamera has numerous abilities that range from immense strength, unleashing and absorbing fire and plasma, flying, regeneration, converting energy, and manipulating his own body, these abilities make him a dangerous opponent. This contingency is in place should Gamera break his connection with humanity and grow reckless or a Magatama fall into dangerous hands. If a scenario such as Dr. Karbone getting another Magatama should occur, the first step is to destroy it or in a sense, strengthen Kusunagi's connection with Gamera. An alternative is to concoct a spell that drains the mana from the Magatama, breaking the user's connection with Gamera. Should the situation escalate, the next step is to deploy an experimental Mech known as the 'Titan Bat'.
Tumblr media
Unlike other Anti-Kaiju Mechs, this one is in line with my moral restraints, even if Gamera is a monster. The mech is armed with Cryogenic technology that can freeze him. But, Gamera has a history of studying his opponents, which would prolong the confrontation. The technology within the mech is connected to a Batsuit that makes controlling it without issue, though it is fueled with a potent but draining battery. Stalling him would end in disaster and a mass loss of life. The metal alloy can withstand atomic blasts, though it is unclear if it can withstand plasma blasts.
Gamera is one of the remnants of Atlantis past and a Guardian of Earth. His death or corruption would be a tragedy, as the good he did for humanity makes him an essential ally...should we find ourselves against terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats.

Scenes from the 1960 tokusatsu series Marine Kong.
Despite its appearance, this kaiju is really just a robot controlled by crooks trying to take over the world. Luckily, a benevolent scientist figures out how to jam the crooks' radio signal and blow up the robot.
Or, at least that's what happened in the first 13-episode arc entitled Monster Marine Kong.
In the second 13-episode arc, Marine Kong Strikes Back, the crooks rebuild the robot with an improved appearance (due to the budget of the incredibly popular show being increased substantially) and again use it to try to take over the world.
However, the same scientist figures out how to take control of the robot. He reprograms it so that it only follows the instructions of his son (ala Tetsujin-28 and Giant Robo). The kid then uses Marine Kong to fight the crooks and stop their plans for world domination.
Apparently the original Marine Kong costume, which featured large light-up eyes, terrified a lot of kids in the audience. When the producers had the suit remade for the last half of the show among the changes made were smaller eyes. The second version of Marine Kong is visible in the top right photo above.

My kaiju OC: Empress Ghidorah
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is basically an albino ghidorah meant to be the mother of King Ghidorah, Guardian (aka GMK) Ghidorah, Queen Ghidorah (my own interpretation), and DesGhidorah. I know a lot of kids lol but that’s basically my interpretation in my own mind.
Originally named Tennyo, she was born from a star and was basically an ‘angel that fell from the heavens’ especially since despite how beautiful she is, she is far from benevolent. After changing from her first form (which basically looks similar to Monster X) she became a star and universe eater, putting the fear into the universe.
She later on becomes mates with Emepror Ghidorah (who is basically the father of the ghidorah’s in my hc) and they only become so for the sake the succession of their children.
Some funfacts, her main inspo is White Diamond (the og but also specifically the au by Sir.jonald) and some Void Ghidorah. Her horns are made of diamonds and she is meant to be sort of like a prism because she is all the colors. She is also a full dragon and does have arms a d legs. All three of her heads do not have their own personalities and instead is an actual hivemind.

Can you elborate that? The Genesis path I mean? I'm kinda having a hard time seeing how bad that could be.
How well do you think people are gonna react when not only the Defense Force captured a benevolent kaiju but also has one of his whelp? They would go ballistic. Some hawkeye onlookers saw Skully hanging on Soshiro's back and it wasn't hard to see the resemblance with No.8. Parent protestors are much more vicious in my opinion.
Kafka's domain in the Never Again route also isn't blocked off from the public either. (It takes time to build such a large enclosure after all.) People have snuck in or gotten lost in there a lot and had to get saved by him. Kafka being moved to a better facility would still cause an uproar especially since his three whelp will be present throughout the relocation.
The Skyscraper Softie website definitely prevented a bigger riot once it was up. Knowing that the No.8 and his whelp are safely cared for thankfully kept the pitchforks from being raised. It's best not to underestimate protestors who have similar feelings to what they're fighting for.
