So it's understood that Kayne's name is Harlan's middle name. I believe most people assume that's just like an easter egg or an easy name. But I think Kayne specifically chose it cuz he's aware this is a podcast and he himself knows of Harlan and knowingly denoted himself with Harlan's middle name.

He is aware of the narrative and can actively manipulate it. I already think that he's aware of the episode titles, since he directly references Coda's name. Says the word Malevolent twice, once as Malevolent entity, which he's been called in non-canon stuff. And that Harlan is very sparing of how much out of canon stuff he's in (not allowing him to be chosen for Patreon bonuses, and have we ever heard him in spooky streams?)

I theorize that Kayne can in some ways step out of canon, and he is fully aware that this is a podcast, it's voted on and even Harlan's middle name. And Benevolent was him stepping outside of canon for a bit of fun. This also explains his attitude towards John & Arthur

I love when he is drawn, written, or thought of as brown. I love when people take a deeply flawed man who has caused hurt and has hurt himself in the process, but is still given dignity by the narrative. the dignity that is being able to grow and show compassion and love while also being loved. and I love when that dignity is extended just as much to a brown man. when that love and sympathy is extended to a brown man. when that dignity isn’t denied of him just because he’s flawed

Hey, Malevolent fic writers, just a reminder, you can make any crossover happen by having Kayne send John and Arthur to whatever universe you like.

He could task them with grabbing some item for him or killing someone or simply just be like: "I want to see what happens if I put you in a room with Light Yagami." He can just do that. Any time period too. No convoluted excuse needed, Kayne wants to put those guys in situations just as much as we do and he's perfectly capable of doing so.
