Being an actress came with lots of benefits; you travelled all around the world to film in beautiful, exotic locations, you get to meet a lot of amazing new people within and beyond the industry, and you get to do what you were most passionate about. But, it also meant every aspect of your life would be examined under a microscope, on and off set, and you would be made to post or say things that weren’t true just for the sake of promotions or publicity.
You absolutely loathed that part of your job. It has driven a wedge between your relationship with so many ex-boyfriends or girlfriends and even some friendships.
When you met Manon at your good friend and fellow Euphoria costar, Dominic’s New Year’s Eve party, you were absolutely entranced by this walking shred of heaven. Back then, she had not joined Dream Academy yet and she was just in between modelling gigs. You couldn’t help yourself, grabbing her hand and kissing the back of it. You had to get to know her better, and by the end of the night you were leaving Dominic’s condo and stumbling into yours with her pressed against you.
When you begun dating, you made sure Manon knew the extents of your career. You were blunt, dating an actress wasn’t always going to be easy, especially with the way tabloids write their own narrative about your life.
a) Your job entailed partial nudity at times; you’ve been in enough movies or series to know women are always asked to strip in front of cameras. You weren’t exactly the biggest fan, but it wasn’t your artistic choice to make.
b) Your job entailed lots of cameras and eyes constantly trained on you, meaning they would spin stories and insane theories out of the most ridiculously insignificant detail. Nothing the tabloids report can ever be trusted.
c) Your job entailed doing things with your costars, i.e. kissing, making out, filming intimate scenes, etc. As somebody in the industry, you have become so desensitized by the concept of faking things for art. But you understood not many people understood the gravity of everything your career demanded from you, and it can cause lots of issues emotionally.
Manon was very reluctant about these three rules at first, skeptical of how bad things had to be for you to drop this on her the first month in. But then she got on dream academy, she then successfully debuted in Katseye, and she, herself, experienced a lot of the things you fell victim to. She understood and accepted much more than she had to because she loved you, she really did, and to anybody with eyes, the two of you were absolutely smitten.
Recently, you were onset of a new project you were cast in—a remake of Romeo & Juliet but with a modern edge to it. Everything was going good, internal reviews for what, and as you wrapped up filming, you were asked to post an ‘wrap dump’ to promote the movie. Your manager presented you with a selection of photos, and you compiled them into a post.

You didn’t think much about the post, getting out of your makeup from the day before hitching a ride home with your manager. You had a couple hours to freshen up and get ready before the wrap party that night, and you were very excited to have invited Manon as your plus one.
It was one of those rare days your girlfriend had a day off that matched your schedule. She had her reservations about being seen or photographed with you at such a public event, but you assured her everything was going to be cast and crew only.
Back at her dorm, Manon was doing her makeup on the floor of her room. She had the room to herself, Lara invited some of the girls home for the weekend with her—which meant Daniela was gone as well. Only Sophia and Yoonchae opted to stay home, wanting to spend the free time they had shopping for decorations to liven up their room. She was nervous, to say the least, about meeting all the professional filmmakers and famed actors and directors you worked with every day.
A knock on her door sounded through the music blasting.
“Yo, Manon, you getting ready to go soon?” When she turned her head to catch a glimpse of Sophia poking her head through the doorway, the leader was focused on the phone in her hand, strolling in to stand behind the older member.
“Yeah, heading over to Y/N’s in fifteen-ish… why?”
“You seen Y/N’s latest instagram post?” Sophia asked.
Manon shook her head. She hadn’t been on social media since the night before, she slept in, waking up late and immediately had to throw herself into the shower to get ready.
“Well, you gotta see this shit.”
Sophia knealt, holding her phone out for Manon to peep at the tweet she had pulled up onscreen. The way she snatched the filipina’s phone was nothing short of urgent and stunned.
It wasn’t like Manon hadn’t seen you kiss your costars onscreen, she’s been to many movies watching you lead in a film. But this, watching this bag of bulging muscles in a tank touch you where she usually did, your hands grabbing his face as the two of you made out on a bed?
Manon had never, and I mean ever, felt such rage. She was experiencing so many emotions at once; some rationality, some discomfort, but mostly an overwhelming sense of rage.
She didn’t care. She was a jealous girlfriend. And she can say she understands as many times as she could, but she hated every single time you’d kiss, touch or feel anybody but her. She knew it was what you did for a living, but she couldn’t shed the way she felt like smashing Kit Connor’s face through a wall.
“That’s a wild ass movie your girl’s making,” Sophia scoffed, in attempts to lighten the tension.
Manon’s jaw clenched, shoving the phone back into Sophia’s chest before standing. She was now sad she had gotten her hair and outfit done all nice, because she didn’t feel like showing up to an event thrown somewhat in your honour.
“Manon…? Manon!” Sophia called after the Ghanaian woman, but she had already grabbed her purse and left the house.
When you came out of the shower, your hair wet and your body glistening, you were taken aback by the sudden pounding you heard from your condo’s door. You quickly put on your panties and one of Manon’s oversized shirts. Slipping into your slippers, you stumbled out your bathroom and to the door. Just a couple feet away from it, another round of thrusts throw you off. “I’m coming, Jesus Christ!”
Swinging your door open, you were ready to rip into whomever so disrespectfully made their presence known, but upon seeing your girlfriend, dressed all nice and looking pretty, your expression softened. “Baby, I thought you were coming—!”
She held a hand over your mouth, pushing you into your home before kicking the door shut behind her.
You furrowed your eyebrows, “Manz, what the fu—?”
“Are you fucking Kit Connor?” She immediately barked, a hand on your bare chest, backing you up towards the couch. “I get myself all nice and pretty for your party and I find out you’re macking this hunk like there’s no tomorrow?”
Your hand rested on your chest, before you were knocked onto your ass. You glanced up at your dining girlfriend, her lips pursed and her sharp brows knit together.
“Woah, woah, woah, what’re we talking about here?”
She yanked her phone out her pocket, her fingers jabbing at her screen as she pulled up your instagram page. The photos you and Kit took on set was harshly shoved into your face, you gently cradled her hand with both of yours, carefully pulling it back so you could see. She then harshly pulled her hand back, pulling up Pop Base’s tweet of a leaked onset photo.
“When the fuck did you even get these photos taken? I mean, having to do minimal stuff for work is one thing, but letting him carry you and grab your ass and your thighs and getting all close and intimate behind the scenes when you’re not even on fucking camera is so far over the line, Y/N.” she rambled, “Then I have to see you basically dry hump this man?”
You sighed, knowing it was another one of the older woman’s jealous episodes. You tried being more understanding, to listen and calm her down, knowing it was a consequence of your job.
“Baby, please, take a deep breath, okay?” You gently grab the phone from her hand, setting it down on the couch beside you. You entertained your fingers, kissing her knuckles. “What did I tell you about the rules, hm?”
With a pout, Manon’s voice dropped low, “You’re a public figure and need to get intimate with coworkers a lot.”
You hummed, nodding. “That’s right. And y’know what the best way to promote a new movie is?”
She rolled her eyes, staring away. “Dating scandals.”
“Yes, baby, dating scandals.” You tugged at her hands, pulling her down to take a seat. Her body slumped to sit on your lap, her eyes still refusing to meet yours as you fixed a loose curl from her temple. “I’m sorry you had to see that, Manz. I never do things I don’t need to. I took those pictures on a press day a while back when Kit and I were asked to do ‘behind the scenes’ photos, none of it is real.”
“Yeah, well, it looked pretty real when you were eating his face on that bed,” she huffed, “What was I supposed to think?”
You chuckled, nodding. You wrapped your arms around her waist, pulling both of you to lie back into the couch. “I know, I know, but I’m not going to the party as Kit’s date, right? He’s not the one I’ve been waiting to see all day.” You gestured at your dripping appearance, “That’s why I wanted you to come in twenty, so I could be ready and beautiful just for you, baby.”
Manon scoffed, “Yeah, you’re lookin’ real rough right now.”
You playfully slapped her at the joke, “I promise you, I am yours, truly. I don’t even care about Kit, because all I think about when I’m at work is coming home and getting to see my ridiculously beautiful and sexy girlfriend.”
That statement seemed to win Manon over, her hands coming up to cradle your cheeks. “You better swear on your life.”
“I swear on this life and the next. I love you, Manz.”
“Mmh, I love you more,” she hummed, leaning in to kiss you softly. When the two of you pulled apart, she sneered, “Is that how you kiss him too?”
You clicked your tongue, a hand reaching under her thigh to move her body so she was straddling you. “Do you really wanna know? I’ll show you exactly what Kit and I do when nobody’s looking.” you spat, earning a gasp from Manon when your hand cupped the back of her neck, yanking her down into you for a heated kiss.
It was a long night of entertaining producing executives and crew members, but you were very happy to have your girlfriend meet the people you’ve been working with for months. When it came time for you to give Kit a hug in greeting though, Manon made sure her disapproval was made known.
You had an upcoming role in the third season of the White Lotus, you were not excited about how the Ghanaian woman would react to the scenes on that show.

Chapter I | Chapter II
Chapter I: A Boring Life
Taking a quick look at the clock on the corner of the screen of his computer, Sam let out a long sigh. Lunch hour was far from near. He continued drawing the monsters he saw in his dreams on the notebook, those who wouldn't let him continue his abnormally boring and stupid life.
"Hey, Sam," a voice called, making him jump slightly on his seat.
He cleared his throat shutting the notebook and sitting right this time as he took in your figure towering over him in the cubicle with a smile on your lips.
"Hi, uhm... Is something wrong?"
You chuckled slightly. He wanted to slap himself for saying that. For Sam, bosses coming to him meant he might have done something wrong. He didn't want to know what he screwed up. Barely three weeks have passed since he started working there. As much as things were strange and weird around, Sam just wanted a quiet life.
"Not at all," you answered in a friendly manner. "Actually I just wanted to give you kudos. I've received good compliments from customers who called for help, you're doing excellent!"
Sam breathed out, feeling a heavy weight on his back dropping. He smiled. "Well, thank you. It feels good doing that."
But a raise or something would feel absolutely better, he thought.
"Sure! You're brilliant, have you ever been told that?"
"Uhm, not here. I mean- I want to say you're the first one. Sorry, the first one to say I'm brilliant, I- uhm I never really got kudos before? I don't think so but it does feel great."
He stumbled so much with his words that it made you laugh a little but he noticed you tried to suppress it. So you gave him a nod.
"Yeah, of course. I also see you're very organized with your stuff and reports," you remarked before taking a quick glance around and leaning a little bit toward him, your face morphing into a shy look. "Probably I shouldn't but could you help me with some reports today? You'd be off the phone, I just really need to send them by the end of the day and I'm extremely busy."
You bit your painted lower lip with big doe eyes, waiting for an answer. Since the first day he saw you around the company, he thought you looked extremely familiar. Like he had seen you before. Hell, it was like he knew you ages ago. But he wouldn't say it out loud, he might look like a creep.
You'd usually come like this to his spot just to talk and get into business, sometimes he'd go to ask you something he wasn't sure about from a call, but he never, ever herd from a complaint or that his work was shit from you. In fact, you were very kind and smart, always letting him know you were there if he needed anything. And you were pretty. So damn beautiful that you got his heart agitated and his body aching when you bent over a desk wearing tight black pencil skirts and those matching high stockings. He began to think probably you liked him but you used to get close to all of your employees on the tech support floor. You were just being nice to everyone.
"Uh, sure. I can do that," Sam curved his lips into a smile.
"Thank you, you're a lifesaver! I'll send you those in your email, ask me anything if it's difficult, okay?"
You responded with happy demeanour and quickly walked away back to your office, leaving him alone before he had the moment to say something. Just two minutes later he received an email from you with a bunch of reports and data to organize.
Sam scanned the files quickly while hearing the sounds of a chair rolling to his side.
"I think she likes you, man," Ian, the messy and chill coworker of his, teased. Sam chuckled.
"Nah, she's just nice to everyone. Besides, she needs help."
Suddenly, a notification popped from the side of his screen on the computer.
It was a message from you. It read:
Put on the headphones and listen to some music if you want ;)
"You were saying?" Ian joked again.
He smiled. Well, at least he'd be off the phone. Shouldn't be that hard, right?
The night fell and Sam found himself alone on his desk at eight o'clock working on your reports. Seeing the long reports and files he thought could make it on time to finish his shift at four and leave on time. It was fucking Friday. Poor him.
At least you ordered delivery for dinner for both of you. The good thing was that he wasn't really alone on the floor, you were in your office but soft music played as you worked on your stuff. Moments later, you found yourself sitting by Sam's side as he worked the final things on the last report.
"It's done," he announced, his body falling to the backrest of his chair.
"Thanks," you whispered shyly as he sent the finished files back to you. "I'm so sorry though, it's so late."
"Well, didn't have anything to do either."
"Really?!"
Your surprise made his eyes fall on you. He shrugged. "Just sleep."
You raised your eyebrows. "I thought maybe a girlfriend was waiting for you or something?"
He shook his head, pressing his lips together. "No, nothing like that."
The question was odd coming from you, so he decided to play a little.
"What about you?"
This time you shook your head. "Just my books and my TV."
Sam hummed. "It's a boring life, isn't it?"
"Yeah, well I get to pay my bills by the end of the month... And I meet nice people here... And I see you- Sorry."
You cut off your words all of a sudden, your eyes blinking rapidly saying you realized what you just said.
"My bad. We should get going."
You gave him a smile to try and brush off your words, but they were strong enough to get in Sam's head unnoticed. He watched you walk away, turning your computer and lights off on your office as Sam did the same on his spot. Once done, you walked out the floor together in silence.
"Thank you again. I don't think no one would ever do this for me here," you admitted with a deep exhale.
"Yeah, no problem," Sam smiled kindly as you got closer to the elevator.
"Really, I owe you. Do you have a car to get home or something? I can give you a ride if you need."
"I do, don't worry," he said as you stopped in front of the elevator, the doors opening.
"Great, so I think this is it," you grinned at him. "Have a good night."
"Thanks. I hope you have a good weekend, boss."
You nodded. "You too, Sam. Take care."
He saw you disappearing inside the elevator with a wave of your hand and a beautiful smile on your face. With a sigh, he made his way to the locker room and took his briefcase and stuff out. It was just a couple of minutes that he saw you leaving when he went back to the elevator. Checking his watch, the lift arrived and before he could get inside, he got a shocking picture in front of him.
Dean Smith, the marketing director, had you pinned against the wall and kissing down your neck. Your blouse unbuttoned, skirt up, lips open and eyes closed in bliss. Dean noticed the doors were open, pulling away his plump lips from your skin.
"Sorry buddy, wrong floor," he beamed and pushed the right button.
When you opened your eyes once again, you met Sam's open mouth and wide eyes as the doors closed. Great, now he might think you're a slut.

winter's reputation among idols
based on tarot. i do not know these idols personally. energies are always changing. what i say is NOT straight fact. pls take it with a grain of salt!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5609290f899ab453246f8858570744b0/c994d44a62d7f178-77/s540x810/fd4983131ada2794c72482bd84d6a28935d95ce7.jpg)
female idols
female idols see winter as a go-getter. there is this perception of her being very charismatic, and knowing how to charm people in order to get her way. like she just has this natural appeal that she can turn on, and it can instantly get her anything she wants. they believe it can get very fake, she just plays people to her advantage in their eyes.
a lot of female idols also think she's incredibly eager, to an excessive extent. they believe she's a bit of a spoiled and entitled brat. she doesn't know how to appreciate what she's given, and therefore is never really satisfied. in their eyes winter can get selfish and harsh with her words, and constantly expects the best treatment only, because that's what she's used to. i can see many of them believing that sm idols in general, but especially aespa, have a huge advantage by being in the right company at the right time. they think that winter also benefits from that privilege, however is so deep in her delusion that she isn't aware of it.
female idols think that anyone could've gone that far if they had a big company like sm pushing them the way they do, and being so overly protective of their image. they think that she's just a great product of marketing. someone who appears to be this perfect and likable sweetheart, but is very vain and full of herself behind closed doors.
i can sense a big disconnect to a good portion of girls who look at her in a pretty prejudiced manner and judge her on a surface-level, without even getting to know her. she has an arrogant and inaccessible image, which seems to have spread throughout a lot of the community. they just form opinions on her without even talking to her personally. there's also this vibe of thinking her whole 😇 persona just not being representative of who she actually is, because she just appears too perfect to many idols. (so surprisingly similar to wonyoung) like “she's always smiling and putting on this lovely act on cam but doesn't even talk to us off camera, what a bitch.” is what it's giving. (jeez these girls are ruthless)
male idols
male idols' perceptions of winter seem to vary more. some of them seem to look at her as a genuine sweetheart, who has very gentle and pleasant energy. they think that she's someone who beyond all the gossip and shit talk, is sincerely nice. like she truly doesn't resemble the image some people seem to have of her. i can see some male idols meeting her and being surprised at how friendly and personable she is.
however, some male idols also seem to carry a sense of mistrust towards her, and i think a lot of that (plus the entirety of female idols' apparent misconception) just comes from her being very protective and distant around most people. they think she's all nice and polite when you approach her, but it's incredibly difficult to actually get close to her. she just doesn't engage in much conversation outside what is needed for professional purposes, and prefers to keep a more intimate and tight circle. there is this huge vibe of, just not really knowing who she actually is. so naturally, many of them start forming opinions and making judgements of winter based on what they think she could be, or what they want her to be. she for sure has this unapproachable and cold image to most male idols. many of them can't figure her out.
they also think that, she's just very focused on herself and her own ambitions. she doesn't concern herself with anyone else's business, because she puts much determination into herself. it's almost like, she'll engage with someone if she feels like it'll be to her advantage, but stay distant if it doesn't serve her in any way. male idols think she behaves in a very calculated manner and exactly knows what she's doing, and how she needs to act in certain instances. they think she might be hiding a lot of her more fierce and driven sides for most people not to see. there might be talks and gossip of her saying some mean stuff to people behind the scenes.

i keep on seeing shit about ot6 vs ot7, who is there more of, why they support seunghan, why they don’t, and how that effects whether he returns to or leaves the group. and all i can think is WHY THE FUCK IS IT UP TO THE FANS. we do not own sm, we’re not on the board, we don’t work there. fans can think however they like. but why are we actually letting fans opinions not just influence but actually dictate what happens with these groups. no matter what anyone thinks, there are hard truths. seunghan did nothing wrong. that should be the only thing that dictates whether he’s allowed to continue his career or not, not what anyone online has to say. and reflecting on all of this makes me feel like a crazy person for not seeing it sooner. companies will lull you in with the intense connection they manufacture between idols and fans, they’ll make you think you’re important and that you matter, and when they respond to fan opinion in the way you want, it makes you feel great, like wow the powers that be actually listened to me. they want you to think that fan influence isn’t just good, it’s essential. like it just comes with being a fan now, you have power, it’s how they up engagement and make money. and usually them doing things, making decisions that are fan-driven is good bc it reinforces the feeling of power and closeness fans have and the company benefits so you don’t bat an eyelid. but something like this happens and you step back and just realise how insane it is. i am just a person. we are just people and our opinions can be fickle and baseless and emotional. they should not be the thing that drives decisions that change the lives of these idols. I do not want that power. sm might suck but they’re professionals paid to do a job, they’re kind of employed to have that power. when they do something you don’t like, you can complain about it, that’s fine. and if they do something bad or that is hurtful or objectively wrong, yes, kick up a fuss. but please please, i need people to realise that there’s a difference between complaining about a idol you don’t like and a company uplifting a person that has done something wrong, and sm should not look at us complaining about those as the same thing and meet it with the same response. public influence over companies should be reserved for when it is needed, for when that company is doing something that is actually bad, not for when its doing something you don’t like. at that point, no, you don’t get a say. there has to be a separation, we have to reintroduce that separation, between the what the company is doing and what the fans think. fan engagement is a nice sentiment but just look at where it has got us. we have people believing it’s right that they control an idols life, they think that’s what they’re entitled to, bc of how much they support them, how much they buy. and we have companies that will listen to harmful fans bc it’s better for them to go with what they think bc that’s where the money comes from. it’s the bad feeding off the bad. and while it’s not all of asian fans or all of korean fans, the fact is that whoever is making the most noise in the home market, no matter what it is they’re saying, they’ll get listened to, bc the company needs that fanbase most. they need the ones that will attend events day after day, buy all the merch and engage most and believe in this parasocial relationship for them to benefit. why do they support delulus? it’s how they make money. simple as. and as much as i hate being pessimistic and bitter, there’s simply nothing we can do. if it’s not what the local crazies want, it won’t happen. and as much as i wished for all these months that seunghan could just wait out the hiatus until all the drama died down and return quietly and it’d all be fine, I should’ve known that there’s nothing those ‘fans’ like better than sitting on their high horse over something petty and unimportant just to feel powerful.
so consider this a call out post, to fans that have made this space so incredibly harmful and toxic, and to the companies that encourage their behaviour. i hope you’re very happy together.
#listen#im just full of rage#this is why I can’t engage in kpop fandom anymore#it’s why I have to keep it all so surface#bc the insane politics of it all makes me feel crazy#and the thing is it’s not just kpop precisely bc kpop set this as the precedent for fandom culture#especially in south east asia#kpop#seunghan#riize

Innovation and Cooptation
With Musk’s purchase of Twitter, we see the conclusion of a cycle of innovation and cooptation in the field of communications. In the late 20th century, the dominant political and technological models were monolithic and unidirectional: network television, mass-based political parties. In response, anarchists and other rebels experimented with independent media and underground networks, producing innovative horizontal and decentralized models like indymedia.org. Tech corporations eventually monetized these models as the participatory media of Web 2.0, such as Facebook. Yet from the turn of the century through the uprising of 2020, the lingering horizontal and participatory aspects of the internet in general and social media in particular continued to empower those who sought to achieve more self-determination—witness the “Thank you Facebook” graffiti in Tunisia after the so-called “Arab Spring” uprisings of 2010-2011.
Over the past decade, however, corporations and governments have introduced more and more online surveillance and control. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter is the latest stage in a reactionary clampdown with grim implications.
Musk and his colleagues see capitalism as a meritocracy in which the shrewdest and most hardworking competitors inexorably rise to the top. Hence, presumably, their own success.
Of course, if Musk wishes to prove that his success is not just the consequence of privilege and luck—of fortune and good fortune—he could demonstrate this easily enough by giving away his wealth, cutting his social ties, changing his name, and repeating his supposed rags-to-riches feats a second time. If he were able to climb the pyramid a second time without the benefit of growing up white in apartheid-era South Africa (setting aside the question of his father’s emerald investments for now), we might have to grant a hearing to his claims that the market has elevated him on account of his personal qualities—though that still would not show that capitalism rewards the efforts that are most beneficial for humanity.
According to the Silicon Valley narrative, platforms like Twitter are the inventions of individual entrepreneurs, propelled into being by the finance capital of canny investors.
But Twitter did not simply spring, fully formed like Athena, from the head of company co-founder Jack Dorsey. In fact, it was a modest refinement of a model already demonstrated by TXTmob, the SMS text messaging program developed by the Institute for Applied Autonomy for protests at the 2004 Democratic and Republican National Conventions.[1] Blaine Cook and Evan Henshaw-Plath, anarchist developers who worked alongside Dorsey at his previous company Odeo, helped refine TXTmob and later took the model with them into the conversations with Dorsey that gave rise to Twitter.[2]
If the unrelenting urgency of social media in general and Twitter in particular can be exhausting, that’s to be expected—the infrastructure of Twitter was originally designed for street communications during high-stakes mass mobilizations in which information must go out immediately, boiled down to its bare essentials. It’s not a coincidence that, despite its shortcomings, the platform has continued to be useful to street activists and conflict journalists.
The point here is that innovative models do not necessarily emerge from the commercial entrepreneurism of the Great Men of history and economics. More often, they emerge in the course of collective efforts to solve one of the problems created by the capitalist order. Resistance is the motor of history. Afterwards, opportunists like Musk use the outsize economic leverage that a profit-driven market grants them to buy up new technologies and turn them definitively against the movements and milieux that originally produced them.
We can identify two stages in the capitalist appropriation of the TXTmob model. In the first phase, a framework that was originally designed by volunteers for the use of ordinary protesters was transformed into a publicly traded corporation, around the same time that the open spaces of the early internet were being colonized by the for-profit surveillance systems of Web 2.0. In the second phase, this publicly traded corporation has been transformed into the private plaything of a single entitled tycoon—with consequences that remain to be seen.
Musk claims that his goal is to open up the platform for a wider range of speech. In practice, there is no such thing as “free speech” in its pure form—every decision that can shape the conditions of dialogue inevitably has implications regarding who can participate, who can be heard, and what can be said. For all we might say against them, the previous content moderators of Twitter did not prevent the platform from serving grassroots movements. We have yet to see whether Musk will intentionally target activists and organizers or simply permit reactionaries to do so on a crowdsourced basis, but it would be extremely naïve to take him at his word that his goal is to make Twitter more open.

From a marketing perspective, you don’t wanna bring back Andrew and Tobey too soon — part of the hype was that people had nostalgia for them. Give us time to miss them again, Sony!
Also, it would make WAY more sense to bring the in other Spider-men back in the multiversal Avengers movies. I don’t know what they’re doing with Kang after the JW mess, but that’s what they were setting up in Dr Strange the the Multiverse of Magic and in the Loki series. I get that Sony holds the rights to the Spideys, and would want to get the most financial benefit from the characters. Marvel/Disney would really have to cough up a lot of $$$ to make it worth it for Sony.
Giiiiirllllll.... I agree! It does NOT make sense for Sony to try to bring Tobey and Andrew (as much as I love them) back yet AGAIN for another film.
It's starting to really IRK me how Sony/Marvel (Idk which) doesn't seem to trust Tom to be able to carry the Spider-Man character all on his own! Like, the man has proven time and time again that he is a box office draw! LET HIM do a SM film w/out any additional "side-characters" GEEZ! 😤

Learn about Chennai Mobile Numbers Database. Describe the key features of a Chennai Mobile Numbers database and application.
In the digital era we live in today, corporations and NGOs alike would greatly benefit from having a database of mobile phone numbers. An organized mobile number database makes operations easier and enables growth in SMS campaigns, customer outreach, or data analysis. Competitive considerations necessitate being able to stay in touch with clients and customers competently throughout a fast, technology-dependent world through consistent supplies of accurate and updated contact information because people are increasingly using their phones.”
Chennai Mobile Numbers Database

Demographic Segmentation: Creating marketing campaigns that are personalized can be challenging if you don’t have detailed information about age, gender, income level, and occupation.

How to Obtain a Chennai Mobile Number Database?
1. Purchase from Data Provider
Several of firms deal in mobile number databases that are confirmed for accuracy and updated for sales. They guarantee comprehensive details by observing prescribed laws.

Gather phone numbers from client interactions, registration forms, loyalty schemes, competitions, and promotions. Using this method guarantees that the information collected is exactly what your business requires.
3. Collaborate with Local Businesses
Share resources and data by partnering with other businesses in the locality. This collaboration will lead to an increased reach for your business and enhancements to its database.
4. Utilize Online Directories
It is important to note that public records and online directories are essential access points for contact details. However, caution should be taken in the way collected information is used by ensuring it adheres to moral conduct as stipulated in regional laws.
Applications of a Chennai Mobile Numbers Database
SMS Marketing: In the domain of enterprise marketing, contextual marketing is a dedicated module that involves sending marketing messages, offers, and updates tailored to the mobile phones of potential clients directly.
Telemarketing: Contacting possible customers and presenting products or services.
Customer Support: “Delivering swift help and backing to clients through immediate interaction.”

the people thinking you are the bad person here have been lulled in by lauras manipulative words. No matter how she went about it she is a “master” with words. She knows what to say in order for people to believe her, to sell her narrative and that is her goal.
Her playing the victim to the general public denying only the parts that benefit her public image is her using her ultimate marketing knowledge and you feeling bad about showing the truth is just her achieving her ultimate goal - empathy for all the “hate” she’s getting.
If she really feels bad and wants it all to stop it’s on her to deny all of it, not on you. What conclusion people draw from your content and how they react to it, is also not on you. You have stated multiple times that Laura receiving messages or people tagging Toby and Noah are were not your reason for making it.
Don’t feel bad for telling the truth, and remember to take time off. Your health (both physical and mental) is the most important thing here. Wish u the best 💕
thank you sm 🩷

TL;DR: some senators want the US Department of Justice to go after Apple for illegally blocking Beeper Mini.
The Honorable Jonathan Kanter Assistant Attorney General United States Department of Justice 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20530
Dear Assistant Attorney General Kanter:
We write regarding Apple's potential anticompetitive treatment of the Beeper Mini messaging application. We have long-championed increased competition, innovation, and consumer choice in the digital marketplace. To protect free and open markets, it is critical for the Antitrust Division to be vigilant in enforcing our antitrust laws. That is why together we have led efforts in Congress to ensure the agency has the authorities, tools, and resources necessary to police abuses of market power.
Earlier this month, Beeper introduced Beeper Mini, an interoperable messaging service that allows users of the Android mobile operating system to communicate with users of Apple's iMessage service. Previously, Android users were unable to securely communicate with iMessage users and were relegated to using decades-old, unencrypted SMS technology. Within days of its launch, Beeper Mini users began to experience service disruptions. Apple admitted it took action to disable Beeper Mini, citing security and privacy concerns for iMessage users. Apple executives have previously admitted the company leverages iMessage to lock users into Apple's ecosystem of devices and services. Beeper Mini threatened to reduce this leverage creating more competitive mobile applications market, which in turn a more competitive mobile device market.
Earlier this year the Department of Commerce released a report titled Competition in the Mobile Application Ecosystem, describing Apple as a "gatekeeper" with a "monopoly position" in its mobile app ecosystem. The Department of Commerce observed that "antitrust enforcement is essential for ensuring competition in the mobile app ecosystem." These findings are consistent with those of numerous other antitrust enforcers and international competition authorities.
In December 2015, Beeper's Chief Executive Officer, Eric Migicovsky, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Competition Policy, Antitrust, and Consumer Rights. He expressed concern that dominant messaging services would use their position to impose barriers to interoperability and prevent Beeper entering and delivering services that consumers want. Given Apple's recent actions, that concern appears prescient.
As you know, interoperability and interconnection have long been key drivers of competition and consumer choice in communications services, from telephones to email. Startups and small businesses drive innovation, create jobs, and can disrupt entrenched incumbents when allowed to compete. But consumers will never benefit from competition if dominant firms are allowed to snuff out that competition at its incipiency.
We are therefore concerned that Apple's recent actions to disable Beeper Mini harm competition, eliminate choices for consumers, and will discourage future innovation and investment in interoperable messaging services. We also fear these types of tactics may more broadly chill future investment and innovation from those that seek to compete with existing digital gatekeepers. Thus, we refer this matter to the Antitrust Division to investigate whether this potentially anticompetitive conduct by Apple violated the antitrust laws.
Sincerely,
Amy Klobuchar, United States Senator
Mike Lee, United States Senator
Jerrold Nafler, United States Representative
Ken Buck, United States Representative

Hey MT! Marketing anon again. I noticed a couple of questions around AMC not announcing Melissa’s return and their S11 Caryl crumb tactics—so I figured I’ll add more thoughts. Again this is just my speculation from a marketing perspective. Take it if it resonates, or leave it if it does not. ❤️
Here are my thoughts on the announcement: I’m sure they anticipate Melissa trending on her birthday and the premiere in June. So if they plan on making an official announcement, it may be near one or both days to help them generate more buzz.
But I read somewhere that CP and the stand-in with Melissa’s description are shooting on May 11th. If Melissa is present on a location that isn't private, then I’m not sure how they’ll hide her from fans. So it's also possible that they'll announce her return before any unofficial photos can get out.
I’m sure AMC understands the damage it will do to their reputation if the photos come from anyone but them. Anyone—even Norman. I don’t believe they’ll allow him to post unofficial confirmation when they can rebuild some of our trust by announcing and “doing the right thing” first.
Here is my speculation on their marketing tactics: I think they understand that the situation is different now than in S11. Because if they didn’t, I don’t think we would have received a single drop of news about Melissa. The intentionally vague mentions of her from the cast/crew keep us generating buzz and building that hype. Which means they’re moving away from triggering fears to lean more into the audience's desires. And possibly gauging the reactions.
I believe in March-April, they were building the level of awareness in the audience to take them from “she’s never coming back” to “Melissa is involved somehow”. Because the trust is extremely low, and they need to rebuild it first. Now most fans are starting to believe she’s involved somehow. So if they announce now, the reaction won’t immediately be disbelief or a demand for more proof. But fans will mostly get excited about the official confirmation and go into FOMO mode.
I’ll elaborate. It is very possible they may lean on what we call Fear of Missing Out, aka FOMO marketing. Many companies use this technique. If they announce her return, I think the official trailer will follow shortly after. And if S1 episodes drop AFTER the official confirmation of Melissa’s involvement, then peer pressure will generate buzz for them—because we’ll see endless tempting (Caryl-centric) clips, stills, analyses, tweets, teasers, and edits on SM.
At this point, whoever posts a picture or definitive news of Melissa instantly gets a boost in trust and reputation. I’m sure AMC understands the damage it will do to their reputation if the photos come from anyone but them. Yes, even Norman. I know they defended him from harassment (and not their female actresses *eyeroll*) in the past, but I don’t believe they’ll allow that boost to go to him when they can benefit financially from it first.
If the announcement does come through before the show airs, it may be vague. It could even be a Carol teaser (which will make a stronger impact than a news blurb tbh). However they announce it, they'll try to maintain the "big surprise" element before she’s revealed on the show. And it may mean they're confident in their storytelling to hold Carylers' attention (because they could hide her till the last minute if they really wanted to).
I leave you with this: Please remember that your feelings are valid, and falling for these techniques only makes you human. Marketing is meant to appeal to the audience's emotions. It just sucks that there are unethical ways of utilizing it.
If you ever feel the urge to direct your ire at people connected to the show who are just trying to do their job or keep their job (or lost their job)—please remember that AMC is the reason we lost the Caryl spinoff. So they’re the ones that have to fix it. Getting Melissa and Caryl back is just the start.
I hope this helps somehow. Caryl on. ❤️
Hi again :) Thanks for coming back to share more of your thoughts. I think a lot of this makes sense, and it would be nice if AMC started steering away from fear tactics because my guess is it's just going to backfire. Like you said, the trust is too low (for good reasons). And also like you said, it's unethical. Always has been, but especially after last year. Actually, it says a lot about what they think of S1 if they have to trick people into watching it xP
I hope AMC "does the right thing" by confirming Melissa is filming so we can stay hyped for S2 at least, but I completely agree it's just the start. I want riveting storytelling for Carol and Caryl, not just ploy after ploy.

I think this is the link anon sent: weishenzone/status/ 1689315084835725313?t=C4JlmUqJVB2XMcsnRQSA0A&s=19Let's be real, NCT projects dont promote the members, they seek to promote the WHOLE group by presenting the most attractive one and making those interest discover about the units and members. It's not that DY needs to be in the main unit to be more popular but the unit needs popular, capable and attractive mems like DY. 1
Only stans like to think only the "pushed" one benefits from the push but never read the cmt in the cut from DY's appearance on MITH where many asked for the info of the group. Sadly it seems too late to fix the fandom, I remember when I was impressed by Shotaro in MAW perf and learned abt NCT, the fandom in early 2021 was much more supportive of solo gigs, the fans joins the hashtag events for Midnight Cafe ost back then, nowadays I hardly see the equal support from non-DY biased. 2
It's funny to see ppl want to change the established line up, ppl who declare they hate the group but go mad when their bias is not in the main unit and ppl who want to replace a main vocal with a rapper/dancer/not as capable vocal. Not to mention things like "SM did NOTHING for my bias". Be serious. Anyway, none ruins this comeback for me as a DoTenMark bias. Hope DoTen interact more than 1 sec in the BTS. And pray for DoJae soul partner. 3

Let's start with SM not charging their trainees to pay them for education and not making them go into debt.
Did SM use WinWin to appeal to Chinese market? Yes. Did WinWin benefit from working in Korea and fulfilling his dream of being an actor? Yes. Did other 127 members hard-carried WinWin during his stay, contributing to his success by building the popularity of the group and promoting him with all the shipping and "everyone likes WW"? Yes.
The math is complicated, I know.
