Headcanon: Even in the Original Ben 10, Ben has had to have at least tried to use video game combo attacks in his actual fights.

In the idea I’ve got for the Kevin Joins AU, Kevin and Ben 100% sneak off to actually practice those combos, and even call them out sometimes to each other in the beginning. These boys are dorks and gamers in the early 2000’s, you cannot convince me that’s not something they would do.

Also because I know my handwriting is bad here’s the transcript under the cut:

Panel 1:

Kevin: “Give him the up down smash combo Ben!”

Gwen: “Did you two seriously come up with moves from a video game?”

Panel 2:

Kevin “Yeah! Pretty good idea right?”

Gwen “More like the dorkiest idea.”

Panel 3:

Kevin “Look you just don’t get it. Some of the combos from Sump Slammer Smackdown are really good like this one is-“

A building line of “AAAAAA”’s that begin on Panel 3, crosses Panel 4 and ends in an “Oof” on Panel 5

Kevin and Gwen also scream on Panel 5

Panel 6 is just the Omnitrix timing out

Ben: “He COUNTERED the combo Kev!”

Kevin: “You sure you did it right?!”

Ben: “POSITIVE!”

Kevin quietly: “Oh my god.”

Ben10tober Day 11 - Cannonbolt

Absolute Unit.

Been drawing too much w my tablet pen, needed to go back to the roots using the fingertipz, and an stylized Ultimate Cannonbolt was the ideal (+ and Albedo variant)

May do this with others who needed slightly more details or not

I did Cannonbolt for this Ben 10 drawing, who is certainly extremely tough and durable since he can survive reentry from Earth's atmosphere. ;) Also, if you've watched the show, you'll likely figure out why I wanted to mix it up and not draw him waving, but instead had him make this gesture. ;)

Small bios for the aliens :]

Fourarms: full of (unhealthy) optimism! Tries his best to be a good leader and friend. Loves to paint and do puzzles in his free time and is like a fun older brother.

Heatblast: quiet mostly, very much one of the therapist friends. Loves to take his time to enjoy things. Loves to meditate with Diamondhead and relax.

XLR8: child at heart (mainly cause he's the youngest). Loves to ramble about random facts he knows, and is very hyper. Loves to watch movies and shows with Stinkfly and talk about how unrealistic things are.

Diamondhead: tries to keep everyone calm, another therapist friend. Not much of a fighter, talk first, fight if needed.

Cannonbolt: short circuit and gets upset easily. Doesn't like much hanging out with the others besides XLR8. Fight first questions later.

Overflow: very emotional, but he just cares alot. Worries for his friends and wants everyone to be safe. Is fascinated by earth and its wildlife.

Greymatter: very confident but not to the point of being mean. Acts more of a parent figure to the others. Doesn't mind helping the others with things. Like to play games (mostly chess) with XLR8.

Upgrade: stern and serious. Would rather be alone, working on tech. Mostly hangs out with Stinkfly and XLR8. Taught everyone to "fight better".

Wildvine: has no shame, loves to be out there. He can be chill when he needs to, loves the plants on earth and knows many things about them. Doesn't really know what personal space is but he's learning.

Stinkfly: the "mom" of the group. Takes care of everyone, therapist friend. Loves to fly and explore the world, tries his best to make everyone happy. Pushes himself to much but he's working on relaxing more.

More armors! This time it's Cannonbolt's turn. Still able to roll about, though somewhat awkwardly due to it's body shape, faster and less awkward when not in ball form unlike the base species. It has less bounce due to the hardened armor removing some flexibility, making due with more melee attacks with slashes and punches.
