sick, bellamy blake.
summary: in which you take care of bellamy blake when he catches the virus spreading around the camp!
warnings: fem!reader, kaneâs daughter!reader, kinda âenemiesâ to lovers, mentions of blood and puking, doesnât exactly follow the original scene from the show, some use of (y/n), and not proof read so grammar but be really trash atm since i wrote this at like five in the morning!
notes: this is lowkey bad and i donât know if anyone still reads the 100 works but enjoy to anyone who likes this!
âClarke!â Jasper yells, running towards the drop ship, catching your attention. âWhat? Sheâs resting, Iâm taking over.â You walk towards the doorway, pulling down the old shirt you have wrapped around your neck to cover your face, wondering whatâs wrong now.
Murphy brought back some virus from the grounders, quickly spreading it to almost everyone at the camp. Due to this, youâve spent the entirety of the night walking around the ship, cleaning up the bloody faces of the people around you and giving clean water to them after Clarke caught the virus and could no longer take over.
As you reach the doorway, your eyes widen when you see Jasper standing next to three boys. One of the boys is being held up by the other two. âBellamy?â You immediately run towards the boys when you realize who it is, âJasper, stay outside, you canât get sick.â You instruct, stopping him from getting any closer to his sick friend. âCome on, help me make space!â You yell, leading the boys towards a dirty cot in the drop ship. âHere, thanks.â You tell them, the boys carefully lying him down before quickly leaving the room full of sick teenagers.
âBell?!â Octavia rushed towards her brother, who you quickly turn on his side as he starts throwing up blood. âOh my god.â You squint, somehow still not used to the sight of bloody vomit. As much as you hate the stubborn and self appointed âleader,â you felt awful seeing his current state. âI got this.â Octavia places a hand on your shoulder, letting you know she wants to take care of her brother and have some space, âCall me if you need me.â You nod.
âHey, get some rest, let me take over now.â You whisper, kneeling down next to Octavia and her sleeping brother. âAre you sure?â She bites her lip, clearly struggling to stay awake. âYes, go sleep.â You smile. Octavia gives in and accepts your offer, going to sleep near Clarke, still close enough incase anything happens while sheâs resting.
Moments later, your eyebrows raised at the sound of Bellamy moving around. âHey, hey. Whatâs wrong?â You breathe out, trying to be as gentle as you can, awkwardly touching his arm. He opens his eyes even more, squinting to make sure itâs you.
âOh. I thought you hated me, huh? Yet youâre taking care of me?â Somehow while heâs going through a deadly virus, he still manages to piss you off and be arrogant. âWould you rather me just let you choke on your own blood?â You scoff. He lets out a raspy laugh, coughing up some blood in the process. âEw.â You fake gag when you notice some of the blood splatter on your shoes, still trying to remain lighthearted. âShut up.â He huffs. âLet me help, sit up a bit.â You mumble, taking the shirt you previously were using as protection and dipping it into a clean bucket of water, then moving closer to Bellamy. âYou need to stay away, stop.â He pushes you away, only now noticing the lack of face covering you have on. âItâs fine.â You move back to where you were, carefully grabbing his face, running your thumb over his cheekbones as you gently dab the wet cloth on his face. The dried blood slowly washes off of his face.
âThere he is.â You place the cloth down beside him. âI can finally see your smug face.â You joke, earning an eye roll from him. âAll better.â You hum. A small smile appears on your face as his eyes start fluttering shut. Although youâre supposed to be against him and his shit leading skills, you still feel a part of you melting at the closeness between you and him. âOkay, you can go back to sleep.â You laugh at Bellamyâs attempt to stay sitting up and awake. âWait, no, I should-â He starts, you quickly stopping him from moving. âBellamy.â You whisper, âPlease, just let yourself relax.â You tone is soft and gentle, something that surprises both of you, even more the man, his eyes softening. He feels his own heart melt, which also surprises him.
As he goes back to lying down, he watches as you carefully walk away, weaving around the drop ship, avoiding the other people that are lying down. He catches himself almost smile. Now, he realizes he might feel something opposite of âhatredâ towards you, the stubborn daughter of Marcus Kane that always disagrees with him, who heâs supposed to be against.

Bounty Hunter - I Love You
Warnings: swearing, smut (can be skipped, wonât contain something relevant to the storyline), mentions of injuries, blood, stitches.
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x Grounder!reader.
Word count: 2780.
Series Masterlist.
Masterlist.
You opened your eyes to see a metal ceiling above you, the light shining down at you make you squint your eyes. As you slipped back to consciousness, you became more aware of the room you were in. You were laying on one of the beds in medbay, a tube connected to your cubital fossa. Your headache was much better, allowing you to sit up slowly.
âYou should be resting.â You heard a voice say from your right. You turned and saw Nyilah approaching you.
âI just woke up.â You said, your voice cracking due to the smoke the invaded your lungs.
âHow is your head?â She asked, stepping closer to you and gently touching your head, only now you were aware of the wound right by your hairline. You raised your own hand, touching the stitches that were made.
âItâs good, thank you.â You replied, dropping your hand.
âYouâre welcome. There is someone who wants to see you, but I told him that you needed to rest a little before anyone could visit. You hit your head very hard and you need to let it time to heal.â She explained, however after she told you someone wanted to see you your focused left her almost immediately. Bellamy, he was the one who wanted to see you. And, god, you wanted to see him so bad. You wanted to wrap your arms around him and hold him tightly, you wanted to kiss him and just feel him.
Before you could reply to her, your attention was drawn to Clarke who entered the room, heading straight to you.
âHey, how are you feeling?â She asked you, coming to stand by your bed.
âIâm feeling good, and I guess I should be thanking you for saving my life. Iâm pretty sure I would have died if you didnât help me.â You said, giving her a thankful smile.
âThat one wasnât just me, actually.â She admitted, making you frown in confusion.
âWhat do you mean?â
âAfter you passed out Roan came to your side and made sure that you got to medbay. No one was willing to come that close because the Ark was crushing down.â
You couldnât help but feel surprised at her words. It didnât make sense why Roan would help you, especially after what heâs done.
âWhere is he?â You asked, letting your curiosity win this time.
âHeâs in Arkadia.â She informed. âWeâre supposed to have a meeting later about leaving for the island.â
âThe island?â
âYes, thatâs where Beccaâs lab is. My mom and a few more are already there, working on the Nightblood solution.â
âNightblood? You want to make everyone immune to the radiation?â You asked, the idea not quite settling in your head.
âExactly. But the Nightblood can only be made in space. Thereâs a rocket there so we need to bring them the fuel.â Clarke explained to you.
âWhen are you leaving?â You asked, twisting your body so that your legs were hanging off the edge of the bed.
âTomorrow morning.â
âThen Iâm coming.â
âWait, thatâs not a good idea.â Niylah objected and took a step closer to you, making you turn to her.
âWhy? I have all day to rest and then Iâll go. Itâs not like Iâm going to war.â
She sighed before nodding her head, however her face still showed disapproval.
âWhere is Bellamy?â You hesitantly asked Clarke.
âDonât worry, Iâll go get him.â She said and quickly turned around and left the room.
You fiddled with the tube connected uncomfortably to your forearm, then you noticed the now stitched cut. You took a deep breath before pulling the tube out of your skin, hissing as the action stung. After a minute or so Bellamy came rushing into the room, walking towards you.
âY/N.â He said before wrapping him arms around you. You returned the hug, relieved to finally be in his arms. âAre you okay? How are you feeling?â He asked as he pulled away, examining your head.
âIâm good, Bell.â You said and grabbed both of his hands. âHow are you?â
âIâm okay, clearly not the one you should be worried about.â He said, making you roll your eyes. âHow did you even get here? I though Roan left you at Polis.â
âHe did, but I escaped. I came straight here to warn someone but before I could the ship exploded.â You paused for a second before you realized. âThis was your solution, wasnât it?â
He looked down before nodding his head. âAnd now itâs ruined, and so is our chance of survival.â
âClarke told me about the Nightblood. She told me you were leaving tomorrow to bring them the fuel. There is hope, if Abby can turn us all into Nightbloods than we have a chance to live.â You said and gently cupped his cheeks. He offered you a small smile before drawing away.
âCome on, letâs get you to your room. You can rest there.â He said and helped you off the bed. After saying a last âthank youâ to Niylah, you followed him out of the room. He led you through the halls, insisting you lean on him as you walked. As you got to the room you noticed that on the door was a note that said, âBellamy Blake.â
âThis is your room?â You asked as he unlocked it with his keys.
âYep.â
He opened the door, allowing you to step in first. You took a look around noticing some discarded clothes in one corner of the room, the bed was unmade, and there was a book on the bedside table. âNice room.â You commented.
âThanks.â He said and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. You took a seat on the bed, keeping your gaze on the wall in front of you.
âIâm sorry.â You said, making him look at you with surprise.
âWhat do you mean?â He asked, coming to stand in front of you.
âFor not coming back.â
He opened his mouth to argue but you cut him off. âI know youâre mad, or at least were mad at me. And itâs okay, I get it, I do.â
âHey, look at me.â He said softly and cupped your cheek, gently lifting your head to look at him. âYouâre right, I was mad at you for not coming back but it wasnât because of you, I just missed you. Things happened here and I just wished I could have talked to you about them.â
His words didnât make you feel better, only more guilty as you looked away from him.
âThere was just so much to deal with and I- I think I was scared to come back here.â You said quietly, still not looking up. âI mean, after what happened with Pike I didnât think I would be welcomed here.â
âI understand your worries. But I promise you that no one is going to try and kill you or hurt you. I would never allow that to happen.â You finally looked up and met his eyes, a small smile rising on your face as you took in his features.
âI missed you, you know.â You said, bringing your hand up to run down his chest.
âI missed you, too.â He said and leaned down, locking your lips with his. The kiss started slowly, as if recognizing the otherâs lips for the first time. You felt his tongue run over your lips and you opened your mouth, deepening the kiss. You placed your hands on his chest, then moving up to his shoulders and pulling him with you as you laid back. He followed your lead, climbing on top of you without breaking the kiss.
You felt at ease, you felt exited and relieved to be with Bellamy again. You pulled his body closer to yours, hearing his soft groan made shivers run down to your core. You slowly began to push his jacket off with your hands, but he pulled away before you could take it off.
âY/N, we shouldnât. You need to rest.â He said, his voice sounding deeper than usual, which only made you want to continue.
âIâm fine, Bellamy. I promise.â You said and pulled him back to you, placing a light kiss on his jaw. âI want you.â You said, then continued trailing kisses down his throat. âI need you.â
His jaw clenched before he slightly drew away to take off his jacket, then he moved back to you, kissing down your neck. Your hand moved to his hair, gripping it tightly as he found your sweet spot, making you moan quietly. You free hand moved to the bottom of his shirt, slipping your hand up and tugging it. He got your hint and took off his shirt. You all but drooled over him, running your hands down his torso, feeling the hard muscles beneath them. You moved your hands up, pulling him down to kiss you. He kissed faster and deeper this time, his hand coming to hike your leg up his hip. You moaned when you felt his hardness press against your core, your hips grinding up uncontrollably. He moved his hips against yours, gifting you the fraction you needed.
Youâve had sex before, but it never felt like that, not so soon. Youâve never wanted someone so bad, needed someone so bad. You sat up and pulled your shirt off, your bra coming in second. His eyes widened as he stared at your naked skin, before he leaned down and pressing his lips against the soft skin of your chest. As he sucked gently on the skin of your breasts you closed your eyes and gripped his hair, the other hand fisting the sheets. He flickered his tongue over your nipple before sucking it into his mouth, drawing a whine from you. He gave the same attention to your other breast before moving his head up to look at you.
âAre you-â he cleared his throat, âis this your first time?â He asked almost shyly.
You shook your head as your cheeks turned red. âNo. Are you?â
âNo.â
You stared at each other before you decided to take initiative. You moved your hand down to palm him through his pants, drawing a low groan from him. He dropped his head down to your neck and by the way you felt his hips grinding against your hand, youâd say he was enjoying himself. You wanted to have him, to touch him and to make him feel good, but you wanted to do it slowly - to tease him. You flipped, now laying on top of him. He looked at you, confused, but that expression didnât last as you leaned down and started kissing his neck down to his collarbone and chest. You pressed your tongue flat over his nipple, feeling his hands coming to rest on your thighs. You grabbed them and moved them up to your ass before continuing your work. As you kissed down his torso you felt his hands shamelessly groping your ass, a smirk coming up to your lips. You licked just above where his pants started, his hips jolting up.
âFuck..â he muttered, eyes closing. You slowly dragged his waistband down and let your tongue follow.
âCan I?â You asked, tugging further on the waistband.
âYes, fuck.â He cursed, hands coming to fist the sheets.
You then opened the belt and pulled down his pants and underwear, just enough to take his cock out. Your mouth gaped open as you took him in, thick and tall with a purple tip and a little bit of precum adoring it. You gently licked over the tip, tasting him in your mouth. You opened your mouth for him but he suddenly pulled you back.
âAs much as Iâm enjoying this.â He said and sat up, pressing a kiss to your lips. âI donât think I can wait any longer.â
He flipped you again, returning to his spot on top of you before ridding himself of his pants. His hand reached to your pants undoing the belt but not before receiving a nod of consent from you. He started tugging on your pants, a hiss from him catching your attention. You sat up and saw him suck his finger into his mouth, blood staining it.
âWhat happened?â You asked and grabbed his hand to assess the damage.
âYour many, many knives happened.â Bellamy explained with a chuckle.
âOh, shit, Iâm so sorry.â You apologized but he quickly shut you up with a kiss.
âItâs okay, but I am going to need help in taking these off.â He said and pointed to your pants. You chuckled before carefully pulling them down and throwing them to the side. He gave your lips a peck before kissing down your body, leaving hickeys behind him all the way to your panties. He spread your legs and placed them over his shoulders, giving him access to your cunt. He placed a gentle kiss on top of your core through your panties, making your breath hitch. He began pulling your underwear off, discarding them behind him, before returning to his latest position.
âFuck, youâre so beautiful.â He whispered as he ran his finger through your folds, making you gasp. Without any warning he licked a stripe of your pussy before moving to your clit, flickering his tongue. You moaned, hips jolting up but he held them down. Your hand moved to his hair â gripping tightly as he began sucking on your clit, his own hand coming up to grip your breast. You felt heavenly, what he was doing to you was heavenly.
He pushed his finger inside of you, your moans getting louder. âBellamy, fuck, please.â You whined as he added another finger, feeling yourself getting closer. He moved his fingers faster and softly bit on your clit, the action made you go over the edge, gripping his hair even tighter as you yelled out his name loudly. You panted, trying to calm down as he made his was back up to you. His eyes met yours and you couldnât help the smile the rose on your lips. He returned your smile before leaning down to kiss you. You could taste yourself on his tongue, and the thought itself made you needy all over again.
You opened your legs and felt the tip of his cock tracing between your folds.
âYou ready?â He asked, positioning himself at your entrance. You nodded your head with a whine of âpleaseâ, wrapping your arms around his back. Your nails dug into his skin as he pushed inside you, drawing moans from both of you.
âCan I-â he groaned, âcan I move?â
âYes, fuck, Bellamy.â
With your permission, he started thrusting in and out of you in a slow and steady pace. As you got used to the feeling of him inside you, you pulled him close to you. âFaster, go faster.â
He obeyed, quickening his pace. Your moans were loud enough for anyone who walked by to hear but you didnât care, your only focus was on Bellamy. His lip was locked between his teeth as he kept thrusting inside of you, grunts and moans escaping him. You ran your fingernails down his back as you almost screamed, getting closer. Bellamy felt you clench around him and he moved his hand down to draw circles over your clit, pushing you closer to the edge.
âFuck, Bellamy, shit, Iâm so close...â You moaned loudly, throwing your head back in bliss and closing your eyes. âIâm cumming.â
âLook at me.â He demanded as his thrusts were getting sloppier. Your eyes met his and by the dark look on his face only, you came. Your vision became foggy and your breathing was heavy as you. He pulled out of you, jerking himself off and cumming on your stomach with a loud groan of your name.
He dropped on top of you, panting. You wrapped your arms around him and held him close as you came down from your high. âI love you.â You said to him.
âI love you, too. So much.â He said and placed a kiss on your neck before leaning his head on your chat, breath still uneven.
You placed a general kiss on his head and started playing with his curly hair. He hummed in approval, pushing his head up. You chuckled, smiling wide as he lifted his head up to look a you.
âThat was amazing, you are amazing.â He said before kissing you. You slipped your tongue in his mouth as you began to move on top on him, his hands coming to study you.
âHow about round two, baby?â

B.B The 100
Just a little excerpt from a potentially larger fic??
Stomping her way back to camp like a child, Amara was yet to stop crying. Very rarely did she get upset, usually she would do one of two things. Either lock herself away until the problem went away or try and use sarcasm as a form of defence. At the moment neither of those options were going to work for her.Â
Since leaving The Ark she didn't recognise herself anymore. She was always crying, arguing with people or trying not to die. Everything felt hopeless.Â
Every now and then she would kick a stone or purposefully stamp on a stick to try and take her anger out. In reality she wanted to hit something.
"Stupid Clarke." She mumbled between her tears. "Doesn't know what she's talking about."Â
Her thoughts were scattered and her breaths were erratic. She stopped. She took a second to look up to the sky. She thought about the people on The Ark. She was down here so they could follow. It was everything her grandmother had ever hoped for. She touched the wristband she was still wearing and for a moment was grateful she still had it on.Â
A noise in the near distance broke her from her thoughts. It sounded like a horn. Panic set in her blood. Immediately she thought grounders. That's when she took of sprinting through the woods. She didn't know if she was running away from something or towards it but her instincts told her to move and move fast.Â
Her legs began to burn as she ran as fast as she could, pushing her body as much as she could.Â
A flash of blonde hair crossing her path caused her to skid to a sudden stop almost falling in the dirt.
"Amara!" Charlotte shrieked.
"Charlotte?!" Amara was unsure why the girl was all the way out here.
"Move now! Go, Go!" Bellamy's booming voice came from behind the girl. He was also running. He grabbed a hold of the two girls and began dragging them in tow. The horn sounded again in the distance.
"There's some caves this way." Bellamy called back to the others as they all began to become separated.Â
In a moment of stupidity, Amara glanced back to try and get a look at what they were running from.Â
Clouds of yellow fog were following them and moving quickly. Amara watched as it engulfed Atom who was a little ways behind them. He yelled out in obvious pain and fell to the ground.
"Atom!" Amara tried to turn.
"Amara, Bellamy!" He cried to the two.
"We can't! Amara!" Bellamy had lifted the girl from her feet and forced her into one of the caves Charlotte had raced into as shelter from the deadly fog.
"Oh my god, Atom." She breathed in disbelief.Â
"Get back from the entrance." Bellamy pulled her back to try and keep her from being burned. She looked up to him and nodded slowly. Bellamy took in her dishevelled state. Her eyes were red and her face was puffy.
"Amara!" Charlotte barrelled into the girls' side and wrapped her arms around the taller girl.
Amara took Charlotte's face in her hands and began to fuss over her inspecting her of any injuries.
"What the hell was that? Did it touch you, are you okay?" Amara spoke hurriedly and as softly as possible but was terrified and both Bellamy and Charlotte could tell.Â
"We might be here a while, we should settle down." Bellamy placed a hand on Amara's shoulder to try and help Charlotte from Amara's pestering. The girls followed suit and made their way a little further from the mouth of the cave. Amara removed her jacket and wrapped it around Charlotte who lay down on the ground. The remaining two sat opposite each other with their backs leant against the cave walls.Â
"What was she doing out here?" Amara questioned Bellamy after some time had passed.
He knew she was only concerned for the young girl but to him it felt gut wrenching to think Amara was somewhat judging his decision to allow the young girl to join the hunting party.Â
"She was struggling having to listen to Jasper." Bellamy told her honestly. Amara just nodded. For whatever reason, Amara had become protective over the girl and almost felt responsible for her.Â
"What are you doing out here? Alone for that matter, I thought I told you that the grounders..."
"I got into it with Clarke and was trying to get back to camp." She felt silly now about the whole ordeal as she thought back. Oh god, she hoped they were safe and that she could see them again to apologise for her little temper tantrum she pulled. "Didn't really fancy staying with them longer than I had to." She confessed.
Bellamy nodded to her showing she didn't need to explain if she didn't want to.
Shortly the heaviness of todays events caught up to Amara and she was falling asleep as much as she tried to fight it.
"No!"
Amara's eyes shot open to the sound of a scream. She pushed herself from the ground and frantically looked for the source that awoke her.Â
Bellamy was already by Charlotte's side by the time she had time to comprehend where she was.Â
"Does it happen often?" Bellamy's voice was soft and unlike anything Amara had experienced first hand from him thus far. Charlotte had a nightmare, and from her screams it seemed distressing. "What are you scared of? You know what? It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what you do about it." He told the girl who was already starting to calm down.Â
"But... I'm asleep." Charlotte's voice was fragile. "Fears are fears. Slay your demons when you're awake, they won't be there to get you when you sleep." Amara watched the Blake boy closely admiring his compassionate side. She could see now that it seemed like he was speaking from experience. "Yeah, but... How?" "You can't afford to be weak. Down here, weakness is death, fear is death. Let me see that knife I gave you." Bellamy wrapped his hands around Charlotte's who held the knife. "Now, when you feel afraid, you hold tight to that knife and you say, 'screw you. I'm not afraid.'" He told her pointing to the knife she now held. "Screw you. I'm not afraid." Bellamy looked to the girl as if she could do better. She repeated the phrase this time a little more convincingly. "Slay your demons, kid. Then you'll be able to sleep." Charlotte lay back down, most likely feeling much more empowered and a bit more relaxed to go back to sleep. Bellamy returned to sitting across from Amara who was now fully awake watching him intently which he didn't miss. "That was sweet." She told him truthfully. He looked back to the younger girl who seemed to have dozed back off. "Octavia is lucky to have you, Bellamy." He looked into her eyes. It was something his mother would always tell him. He was told Octavia was his sister, his responsibility and that nothing would ever change that. "I didn't realise until you said something similar to Charlotte just now, but I remember." She spoke watching his eyes bore into her own. "You were the only person that spoke to me that day." Amara referred to the first time they met on The Ark when he was the janitor that found her crying at the window. "My mom, she had been sick for some time. For as long as I could remember actually. I knew it was coming that's why I was upset. She died that night." Amara opened up to him watching as he swallowed her words taking each one of them in, listening to each syllable that fell from her lips. "Nobody would look at me let alone say anything, it was suffocating."Â
"I didn't know that was why you..." He slightly shook his head confessing to the girl.
"I'm not the best at all of this, it seems like every day Earth just really wants to put me through it, but you seem to be thriving. Earth suits you." She smiled to him honestly.Â
"Thriving? I'm barely surviving." He choked a small laugh. "Between Octavia, trying to maintain order and avoid grounders I feel like there's not enough of me to go around."Â
"You're doing good." She smiled to him tiredly.Â
"Don't go all soft on me now sweetheart, it was only yesterday you tried to kill me with a tree branch." Bellamy tried to lift the conversation knowing neither of them wanted to continue down the path they were going. At least not tonight in this cave.Â
"Relax you don't have a freckle out of place." She retorted as she lay back down on her side facing away from Bellamy. A few moments passed before she felt a jacket be draped over her bare arms. Bellamy lay his jacket over the shivering girl who had selflessly gave hers up for Charlotte.Â
The two fell into a comfortable silence before Amara spoke up a final time with one last thought.Â
"On a real note though." She began. "Would you rather be itchy for the rest of your life or sticky for the rest of your life."Â
Like music to her ears, Bellamy laughed. He wholeheartedly laughed for the first time in a long time. He didn't need to answer Amara was happy enough with that as his response and was able to fall back asleep shortly after.Â

A Sequence Analysis of the 6x13 Bellarke Reunion
[a.k.a. the final scene of The 100 because Jroth can Jrot in hell]
After a grim conversation between Bellamy and Jordan, the sequence transitions to a warmly lit, wide angle perspective of the reunion at Sanctum. Friends and lovers âmeet again,â hugging, kissing, reconciling in a series of action shots: Miller & Jackson, Murphy/Emori & Raven, Jackson & Echo. The sound of their laughter cuts through the uplifting strains of the melody playing [GAITS âOther Sideâ]. Against the showâs constant onslaught of death and destruction, the beauty in these brief flashes of joy isnât lost on us; itâs fleeting, but itâs potent. Weâre back at the gates of Arkadia in 2x16, only this time around, prospects for the future arenât quite so bleak, nor is it âgetting dark, too dark to seeâ beneath âthat cold black cloud [coming] aroundâ [RAIGN âKnocking on Heavenâs Doorâ].
Instead, the refrain âI know Iâll see you on the other sideâ embodies a sense of hope and certainty while also referencing Jasperâs parting words in S4. Unlike his nihilistic outlook, however, the soft, inviting quality of these opening shots seems to suggest that thereâs light at the end of the tunnelâa glimpse at the other side of heavenâs door, where peace prevails and war is a distant memory.
As this undertone of cautious optimism resonates, the frame is swallowed up by a dark mass of faceless bodies. The music slows, the crowd parts, and exposed in the center of the frame is Clarke Griffinâa solitary, motionless figure within a stream of movement. Her silent presence isolates her from the liveliness of her surroundings. From the side angle of the camera in the shadowy foreground only her profile is visible, yet the expression on her face is noticeably stunned. Weâre left with a sense of anticipation. Where is her gaze focused? What commands her attention so fiercely, stopping her in her tracks and arresting her movements? The anticipation builds, and, with it, the percussive intensity of the music. Soft vocalizations trail after âthe other side,â echoing in our ears as we --
Cut to a reverse shot of Bellamy. He makes his way to his people, but itâs clear that the words exchanged with a disillusioned Jordan weigh on him. His eyes are fixed on the ground, brows furrowed, a pensive expression reflecting his weary frame of mind. Itâs the aftermath of yet another battle, another spoke on a wheel that spins and spins, unleashing more devastation with each turn. We, as the audience, can only hope that this is the end of its vicious cycle. Heâs lost in thought, but a glance ahead has his eyes snagging on something out of shot. No, someone. Bellamyâs steps falter for a beat, then his eyes widen a fraction. Heâs mesmerized.
On the receiving end of his gaze, Clarke sharply exhales. The steady pulsing of the music stutters before the rhythm picks up in rapid sixteenth notes, akin to a heartbeat that skips, flutters, then pounds. Energy thrums in the single look that they share; everything else seems to melt away as they fixate on each other, as the tether that binds them together tugs, as the distance between twin souls is bridged.
Weâre hit with the crescendo of the music, punctuated by the sustained beat of the drums. Itâs booming. A fluid tracking shot follows Clarke as she launches herself away from the crowd into Bellamyâs open arms, and the force of their collision is shown through their synchronized exhalations of breath, through the swaying movement of their bodies pressed tightly together. Like cymbals crashing, they meet in the middle of the frame. The blocking instantly establishes a bubble of intimacy around them that blocks out the rest of the world as they completely obscure the figures (âgirlfriendâ) in the background. Refracted light slices across the screen at an angle, tracing the points of contact between these two people who radiate warmth and ignite under a single touch.
The music swells. Their embrace is set to the bridge âoh wait for me in fields of gold,â and as they hold each other, lost to a symphony of grief and elation, we get the sense that in each otherâs arms these two broken beings are very much found. Itâs a homecoming.
Clarke burrows her face into Bellamyâs neck. The sun beaming in the background sends scattered light over his shoulder, captured as flare in the camera lens. Not only does this element add a layer of visual impact and aesthetic beauty to the shot, but it also intensifies the climactic moment when their bodies collide. Tension is built and built until it finally snaps; in doing so, emotional catharsis (for both the characters and for the audience) is maximized. The combination of the lens flare and camera movements makes for a striking, visually dynamic shot with epic romantic overtones. In their reunion a sense of rightness is restored, which has remained a consistent theme of the show for six seasons. When the camera finally settles, whatâs captured is the sheer magnetism of the moment. Nearby murmured conversations are unable to overtake the melody, and the bustling movements of the crowd are unable to break that hypnotic hold they have on each other.
Clarke clings to Bellamy; now, more than ever, itâs evident that her love for him is a refuge, her strength in times of weakness. Even so, sorrow threatens to overtake the solace found in his embrace; Bellamy immediately senses this, rubs a soothing pattern across her back. With brows drawn, he nestles his face against her shoulder as if to will her pain away.
We cut to a dynamic two shot, with Bellamy occupying the left side of the frame and Clarke the right. Both seem reluctant to part, and as they do, harsh realities set in. Bellamy delivers the sobering line, âI heard about Abby.â Like a death knell, its implications land on Clarke and reverberate through this gentle, short-lived moment of peace. Her face crumples. With a despondent shake of her head, she manages, âI tried to do better. I did.â Bellamy can only nod. His strained expression conveys how the mere sight of Clarkeâs pain is excruciating to him. A sharp intake of breath from herââAnd then I lost my mom.â The tremor in her voice betrays her composure; the words catch in her throat, imparting a strangled quality to the line.
Her motherâs death clings to her. Itâs reflected in her head-to-toe black attire, in the misery painted on her face. The weight of impossible decisions looms (how tragic that her motherâs endangerment was what drove her to pull the lever back in Mount Weather), and it seems that, this time around, the burden is too heavy to carry alone. âTell me it was worth it,â she pleads to Bellamy, barely choking the words out as she battles tears. âTellâtell me it was worth it.â In deep anguish Bellamy watches Clarke unravel before his eyes. With gentle words he tries to piece her back together. âHeyâHey, we did. We did do better.â
This entire verbal exchange is filmed as a continuous arc shot that swings back and forth on an axis (Bellamy -> Clarke / Clarke -> Bellamy) with the sun acting as the focal point between them. The shotâmuch like their soul-deep connectionâremains unbroken and uninterrupted. Rather than keeping a fixed, static position, the cameraâs movements allow us to feel the push-pull emotional tension of the scene. It orbits Bellamy and Clarke in a way that cinematically mirrors the gravitational pull they feel towards each other. For years and years, the two have danced around each other. Though distance and time separated them, theyâve always been inextricably tied together in common orbit. Like binary stars, Bellamy and Clarke orient themselves around a shared barycenter. Their center of gravityâthe sun flaring at the center of the frameâcoincides with the showâs key thematic elements: forgiveness, rebirth, redemption. The rising of the sun marks the start of a new day and, with it, another chance to do better.
With each dizzying motion of the camera, flashes of light shine between their silhouettes, obscured only to re-emerge seconds later as lens flare; The sequence, as a whole, is a study in subtle contrasts: the contrast between the white sun in the background, the light glinting off the water, the pale gold of the sky + of Clarkeâs hair vs Bellamy and Clarkeâs shadowy figures captured in low-exposure, the darkness of their clothing, Bellamyâs black hair. This balance of light and shadows/brightness and darkness mirrors the tenuous balance between hope and despair driving the scene. In parallel, the despair that consumes Clarke is a darkness balanced out by Bellamy, who maintains a more optimistic outlook for the future and serves as her guiding light.
[Additional Note: These cinematic contrasts are also a perfect illustration of the concept of yin and yangâthe cosmic duality that reflects Bellamy and Clarkeâs âhead and heartâ relationship. The two are equal, seemingly opposing forces but, in actuality, function in such a way that enforces their complementary and interdependent nature: One cannot exist without the other, and both are connected as two halves of a whole in perfect equilibrium. Yin and yangâthe head and the heartâdo not act as isolated parts, but rather continuously influence and interact with each other to bring forth balance and harmony.]
Hope.
In spite of everything, it shows its presence in the vibrant yellow tones of a scene filmed at golden hour; the honeyed glow creates a dreamy, inviting atmosphere, giving off a quality of softness and romanticism that balances out the heaviness of their conversation. Hope echoes in the melody as it conveys the inevitability of reuniting with a loved one in this life or the next: âItâs not the end. Itâs all I knowâŠI know Iâll see you, I know Iâll see you on the other side.â (In other words, we will meet again). Hope is felt through the warmth of two lovers embracing, the warmth of the rising sun on their faces.
As we cut to a final close-up shot of Bellamy, he delivers the last line of the scene with resolve: âI have to believe that that matters,â he murmurs softly, brows knit in concern. His eyes search Clarkeâs, but her teary gaze is cast low as she chokes down a sob. Her close-up shot captures the internal conflict taking place:
Itâs a mental battleâgrappling with the urge to fall apart or to suppress the vortex of raw emotion churning inside her. Bleary-eyed, she turns away from Bellamy as if every instinct screams at her to flee, to bear the burden alone. Still, an unspoken conversation anchors her to the spot: âTogether.â âI got you for that.â âI need you.â âIf Iâm on that list, youâre on that list.â âThe heart and the head.â âYou donât have to do this alone.â Though devastation lines her face, the morning sunrise bathes her skin in light. Clarke draws a shaky breath. She turns back to Bellamy, then nods: a decision has been made. The camera switches from this close-up of Clarke to a hazy, low exposure medium shot as she leans into Bellamy, drawing strength from him (notice its resemblance to Miller and Jacksonâs reunion). They wrap their arms around each other, and their bodies meld together. Clarke tucks her chin onto Bellamyâs shoulder. The immediate relief that sheâs flooded with is palpable. She closes her eyes and sighs, and Bellamy rubs her back consolingly. The visual of their merging silhouettesâreminiscent of two suns eclipsing just above the horizon lineâcomposes the final frame of the scene before the shot dissolves with a last âI know Iâll see you on the other side.â
Thereâs a true sense of finality to this closing shot which sets it apart from others before itâor, rather, establishes it as a culmination of every moment in Bellamy and Clarkeâs âexhaustingâ history to get to this state of perfect alignment. The hug, in particular, serves as a departure from previous seasonsâ hug scenes in which an interruption was often required to progress the conflict and reestablish some semblance of distance between the two of them.
In this season, however, though death and distance and other outside forces conspired to separate Bellamy and Clarke...they, against all odds, end it with bodies intertwined, defenses stripped away, never more unified both physically and emotionally: the heart and the head joined together in perfect equilibrium. Two bodies, two souls breathing, moving, thinking, and working as one.

Lone Wolf chapter 11
Summary: the story continues
Author note: First I want to apologize it took so long for me to post the next chapter for lone wolf. After that, I want to thank everyone who has sent me comments and kudos for my writing. I havenât forgotten this story, writing has just been difficult the last couple of months.
previous chapters:Â part 1-Â part 2-Â part 3-Â part 4-Â part 5-Â part 6-Â part 7-Â part 8Â -Â part 9- part 10
âWhat! Gives you the right to touch my daughter!â you were livid. How dare this boy touch your daughter. Madi in general had a hard time with being touched. The only people who were allowed to touch her freely, were you, Lexa, Clarke and Anya. From time to time Indra, but that was only when Madi instigates it. So who did this piece of shit think he was for giving Madi a panic attack.
At this point, you were really starting to regret coming to the Skaikru. Would Clarke be really upset if you cut this guy's throat? Probably. Pushing aside the murderous intent you were feeling you turned toward Madi who was still protected by Dina. Madi who was still sobbing uncontrollably. You throw the sword in your hand to the side and crouch down so you are at eye level with your daughter. Dina steps away from the two of you and keeps the rest away.
When Madi spots you through tear-filled eyes, she looks you straight in the eyes but doesnât move to get closer to you.
âhey, peanut.â You say in a voice you only reserve for your daughter. The little girl is so attuned to the sound that she is already calming down.
âMama?â
âYes baby, it is Mama. Are you feeling big emotions?â you knew she was but this made it easier for Madi to work through it. Madi gave you a small nod.
âis the feeling going away?â most of the time the emotions Madi was feeling would pass on their own. When Madi shook her head, you gave her a reassuring smile.
âthat is okay. I am here and we are getting through this together. Can I touch you?â with speed almost too fast for a human, Madi was in your arms. She pressed her head against your chest to feel your steady heartbeat. The sound helped in calming her down.
âalright baby, can you tell me five things you see?â your voice is just about a whisper but Madi could hear you just fine.
Clarke and Lexa were wrapping up their meeting. Things had gone smoother than hoped and resulted in the two being able to meet (Y/N) and Madi for lunch. Clarke was putting away the last of the documents when one of the guards sprinted into the tent. The markings on their arms told them that they were on (Y/N) personal guard. Lexa was aware of the guards (Y/N) had put on both her and Clarke.
âHeda! Permission to speak.â The guard asked. Like all your subordinates they had discipline.
âspeak soldier,â Lexa said in her heda voice.
âHeda, Wanheda, both of you are needed at the training grounds. One of the Skaikru boys tried to touch the princess. Causing her to have a panic attack and the general to lash out at the boy. Some of the females with the boy are afraid of an escalation.â The guard spoke so fast that Clarke and Lexa almost didnât catch all of it. The moment Clarke heard Madi was involved she started walking toward the training ground, not listening to Lexa who was calling after her.
Lexa took a moment to collect herself and thanked the guard, before going after her wife-turned-mamabear. She already felled sorry for whoever stood in her way.
Clarke was at the training grounds in no time. There she saw the Gona from a circle around you, Raven, Octavia, Lincoln and Bellamy. Dina was standing close to you ready to react to any situation. You were cradling Madi to your chest, trying to console the sobbing toddler.
Madi didnât seem to be injured, neither did you. Bellamy on the other hand was sporting a big red line around his neck. Steeling herself Clarke stepped forward to make her presence known. Bellamy was the first to approach her, like a kid rating out somebody to the teacher. You however stayed where you were, cuddling Madi close to your chest.
Instead of listening to Bellamy rambling Clarke made her way toward you and Madi. Laying a comforting hand on Madiâs back.
âMaid sweetheart, look who is here.â You whisper in your daughter's ear. Locking eyes with Clarke, conveying that it was a bad one. Very slowly Madi lifted her head from your shoulder and looked behind her. When she spotted her mommy, she started reaching out for her and you quickly handed her over to Clarke so she could soak in her mommyâs scent. The toddler sagged into the blond's hold immediately.
For some reason, Clarkeâs and Lexaâs scents had always a calming effect on you and Madi.
âhey love, somebody told me you were cuddling with Mama. Mind if I join?â Clarke spoke in a tender tone, to not set Madi off again. That had happened in the past when she was overwhelmed too soon.
âMama helped. Big emotions. Counted. Calmed.â Madiâs sentences were cut short, telling Clarke she hadnât down completely.
âoh! You and Mama did the counting. Did it help?â Clarke was relieved when Madi nodded into her chest. While Clarke was talking to Madi you had positioned yourself in front of them with crossed arms and a death stare levelling Bellamy, who was trying to get closer.
âwhat made you feel the big emotions? Can you tell Mommy?â
âMan touched me,â Madi said burring her face back into Clarkeâs chest.
âwhat man sweety?â Clarke Cöed as to not set her off again. without looking Madi pointed a finger toward Bellamy, who was trying to push past (Y/N). (Y/N) however, wasnât bunching an inch. In the meantime, Raven and Octavia tried to pull Bellamy back.
âlet me pass! I have to talk to Clarke.â He tried to sound intimidating, hoping you would let him pass.
âyou upset my daughter, do you really think Iâm just going to let you near her? No way in hell! If Clarke wants to talk to you she will come over here. Until then back off!â your voice was nothing more than a growl.
Clarke really had hoped Bellamy wasnât involved. You already didnât like him and this wasnât helping. She could only hope to settle your mood before things escalated. Clarke still remembered the last time somebody touched Madi without permission. It was a warrior from Azgeda. He had quickly lost his hand and head. Then she hadnât batted an eye at it. She hoped it didnât turn into a brawl. You would level Bellamy with no problem, the only question was when you would stop once you started.
Clarke walked with Madi still clinging to her chest but stayed a couple of feet behind. Hoping this was enough distance for Madi. You immediately sensed Clarke come up behind you, turning partly around so you can look at her and Madi, still preventing Bellamy from getting closer. Clarke knew her next words would be hard for their friends but she had to think about her daughter and wife first. She could talk to her friends later, but first, she had to defuse the situation.
âI think all of you should return to camp until things have calmed down,â Clarke said while looking at her friends. Raven and Octavia seemed to understand, Lincoln respected the words of his kwin. They also knew that if they stayed longer and Bellamy did something stupid, they would be putting Clarke on the spot. Bellamy however started immediately pushing against you to get to Clarke.
âClarke! Please listen to me. I didnât mean to do this.â
âBack off!â you got into the shaggy-haired boy's face and pushed him back.
âyou come here, make my daughter cry and now you dare to make demands toward our kwin. I should skin you alive for that.â This finally makes Bellamy back down with a loud gulp.
âGeneral!â there was an edge to Clarkeâs voice that told you you were getting onto thin ice. It made you back down just a little. The last thing you wanted to do was upset your wife.
âwe will leave for now,â Raven said, pulling Bellamy back toward the camp. Leaving you and your family as the only ones in the training ground. The gona had scattered already, knowing nothing good came from upsetting their kwin when she was in mama-bear mode.
Lexa arrived at the exact moment the Skaikru left. You had turned around to look at Clarke. The blond looked anything but happy. Believing it to be best for you and Clarke to talk about whatever the issue was. So Lexa took Madi from Clarke's arms and retreated toward the tent.
âletâs go Madi. Mommy and Mama need to talk.â
âmad?â Madi asked.
âdonât know bug. Why donât we go find something to eat and wait for them?â
âWhat the hell is wrong with you? You could have taken Bellamyâs head off today.â Clarke exploded the moment Madi and Lexa were gone. Now that everything had sunken in, Clarke had gotten angry with you. Her reaction made your anger surface again. why was she angry with you?
âHe upset Madi. I just reacted on instinct.â You say between clenched teeth, not wanting to snap at Clarke.
âThat was an over-the-top reaction. Bellamy didnât know Madi would react like that.â Clarke counters, while stepping close to you. Like she wanted another response from you. At this point, you had a hard time not glaring at your wife.
âIf it had been anybody else but that Skaikru boy we wouldnât be having this conversation.â
â you went too far. You acted like a saâŠâ Clarke seemed to catch herself at the last moment, but you knew what she was going to say. You had heard it often enough. The dark part in you that you had suppressed for so long reared its ugly head and you could feel your emotions freeze. Looming over Clarke you glared at her.
âsay it.â A moment passed and it stayed quiet.
âsay it!â the ringing of your voice surprised Clarke. She had never seen you like this.
âSavage.â The word was nothing more than a whisper but you could hear her loud and clear. Did your wife really think of you like that? You could stand for everybody else thinking you were a monster but not your family.
âmaybe Clarke I am nothing more than a savage beast, pretending to be something else.â With that, you walked away and into the woods, leaving Clarke alone.
The moment you left a pang rang through Clarke. What had she done, she had never seen you so cold toward her before. When Clarke finally turned around she, you were gone.

3 - Hunting Party
Part 4
Star Crossed Enemies
Three knocks were heard on the outside of my apartment door that was shut. Getting up from my bed I crossed the room barely opening the door seeing my father Jake standing in the hallway. âDad! Hurry, get inside. Did anyone see you? Mom?â
âNobody saw me, sweetheart. Your mother is still at work. But I do hope you have thought about my offer to let Marcus Kane pose as your father.â He stepped inside, wrapping me in a hug and I pressed my face against the fabric of his shirt.
Lifting my head up slightly I had to ask knowing the kind of man he called his friend. âYou mean the man that enforces harsher than the current Chancellor does. Iâm not sure thatâs such a good idea.â
âPlease just consider it, Cassie. I want someone else looking out for you when I canât.â My father declares with some tears welling up in his eyes.
Lowering my gaze to the floor I wouldnât realize what his words meant until after he was gone. Sighing heavily I nodded agreeing with his plan. âOkay, dad. Iâll talk with Kane but change my last name to Rhodes.â
Suddenly the door opened and closed quickly showing my mother Abby standing in front of it as she shut it by pressing her back against it. âMom!â
âAbby! How did you know I was here?â Dad questioned her under his breath.
She stomped up pushing the two of us apart from one another glaring sparingly at each one of us individually. âThe whole reason that I told you to get your own place at sixteen was to make sure that the three of us werenât seen together too much to draw suspicion. And you canât even follow that simple order.â
âAbby, donât be hard on her. I came to see her. She didnât know I was coming today so be angry at me.â My father attempted to calm down his wife but it was no use.
She snapped back at her husband. âShe clearly doesnât understand how serious this is for us. For me, you and Clarke.â
Pure hurt came over me at her words not hearing even utter my name once. I shoved her away from me where she stumbled into my fatherâs chest completely taken back by my actions. âSo thatâs how it is huh, mom. Youâve just cut me out of the family completely!â
âSweetheart, you know I meant you to-â She started to say but I slapped her hand away that tried to touch me.
âNo you knew what you said the minute the words came out of your lying mouth!â Pushing past them I fling the door opened pointing with my index finger for them to leave. âYou know just leave me alone. Just get out of my face right now!â
âCassiopeia.â She spoke simply.
âGet out!â I screamed through heavy tears falling down my face. My mother scrambled out quickly but my father lingered sending me a silent apologetic look before leaving, allowing me the opportunity to shut the door and just sobbed on the cold floor.
âWake up, grounder girl.â I felt someone kicking me with their boot in the middle of my back waking me from the sleep I had managed to accomplish on the harsh cold floor of their dropship.
Rolling over onto my back I groaned, spreading my hands over my face. âUhhhâŠwhat do you want?â
âGet up. Iâm taking you hunting with me.â Bellamy declared resting one hand on his hip that had a metal ax attached to his belt loops.
Peeking through my fingers I glared up at the older man standing over me. âHunting hmm. Are you needing pointers on how to kill animals since you lived in space all your life.â I teased him by turning over to lay on my side and attempt to fall back to sleep.
The sky boy stepped around my legs and lowered himself down in a squatting position giving him the ability to grab my chin forcing me to look him in the eye. âIt wasnât a question. Youâre my prisoner, not a guest.â
âFine. But I get to have my weapons pack back. I refuse to leave this camp without having my own form of protection.â
Bellamy didnât say anything for a minute before giving me a simple head nod. âIf you try to kill me I will fight you.â
âYou kill me.â I laughed at how cocky and confident he seemed. âThatâs adorable.â
He stared down at me for a few minutes before he nudged me with the tip of his boot a second time, walking over to the ladder and climbing down. Sitting upright I ran my fingers through my hair undoing the one braid that I had in my hair allowing it all to be loose. Climbing down the ladder I didnât fall even with having my hands handcuffed. âSo if you want me to go hunting with you youâre gonna have to take these off first.â Holding up my handcuffed wrists I stood on the edge of the dropship ramp.
All around me everyone was working on some portion of their camp. They had constructed a wall around the whole dropship and a meat house. Plus many tents so they didnât all have to sleep in the metal box. The only thing I could see they were missing was proper weapons.
Bellamy takes one long stride forward snagging my right wrist in his grasp cutting the ties with a small knife he had on his belt. âWhen we get back here these are going back on.â
âDo you really assume Iâm so dangerous? I could be the weakest fighter youâve ever seen.â
He raised his brows knowing I was being very sarcastic. âNice try, Cassio. You took out three of my guys with a dart gun and held a knife to my throat.â
âSo you did learn something from that day. Good I was beginning to worry I didn't scare you well enough.â I glared up at him, shifting my gaze to his deep chocolate eyes focused on me. We remained standing for about ten minutes until someone came over to us.
âBellamy! Are we going to go kill something or not?â A guy with dark brown hair carrying a metal knife walked up. âWhat is she doing outside the dropship?â
Bellamy quickly separated himself from me. He handed me my weapon pack before turning his attention to the guy. âWe're taking her with us, Murphy.â
âWhy don't we just kill the grounder girl. We already have one chained up in the dropship and how are we supposed to know that she won't try and kill us the second we step outside of camp.â Murphy questions his leader.
The older man nodded his head to his right hand man, snagging my wrist leading me outside the camp walls with Murphy and a few other guys following behind us. âWe're not going to kill her. And don't worry about her. I'll keep an eye on her.â
Our group trekked through the woods in silence looking for any animals that we could kill for dinner tonight. I wasnât that familiar with this area. Living in Polis meant that we had hunting parties go out and return with food. I typically only tagged along with them in that specific area. Walking up the side of the hill I paused bending down on my knees I saw a deer standing a few feet in front of me eating some grass. Turning my head slightly around I saw Bellamy walking past me with an ax raised in his right hand till I jumped up snagging his wrist before he could swing it. âHang on. You canât do that.â
âI know how to kill something, grounder girl.â Bellamy grunted trying to fight against my type grip that my fingernails had on his wrist.
Murphy pointed his index finger at me in frustration. âI told you we shouldnât have brought her with us!â
âI can handle her, Murphy.â The older leader intensely stared down at me. âLet go of me. Youâre gonna scare off our dinner.â
Digging my fingernails deeper into his wrists that I was holding I pressed my nose against his. He needed to understand that I was trying to help him, even if he didnât understand it yet. I certainly could just let him miss the deer and simply laugh in his face afterwards. âShut up and listen to me, Blake. The way youâre currently holding that ax wouldnât kill the deer. So if you want to bring food back to camp you better start listening to me!â
âYouâre lying.â He shakes his head still not believing me.
With my freehand I snatched the weapon from his hand, stomping quickly around him before he could grab me and stop me from what I was about to do. Raising the ax above my hand with both my hands wrapped, the handle as I took a deep breath releasing it only after I launched the weapon forward. The ax went flying into the lower stomach of the deer before it slowly fell down dead on the forest floor. Proudly spinning around on my boots I smirked with my hands clasped behind my back. âNext time you refuse my help keep in mind I wonât be helping you.â
âIâll be damned.â Bellamy cursed under his breath before the sky began slowly turning a dark yellow meaning the acid fog was coming from the mountain.
âBellamy.â I shouted back at him.
He finally noticed the sky breaking in a sprint forward grabbing the back of my jacket and the others broke off into another direction for shelter. âThere are caves this way!â

âExhilaration fizzed through Clarkeâs body. Before she realized what she was doing, she had thrown her arms around Bellamy. He joined in her laughter as he staggered backward, and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up and spinning her through the air. The colors of the clearing swirled, green and gold and blue all blurring until there was nothing in the world but Bellamyâs smile, lighting up his eyes. Finally he set her down gently on the ground. Be he didnât loosen his grip. Instead he pulled her even closer, and before Clarke had time to catch her breath, his lips were on hers. A voice in her brain told her stop, but it was overpowered by the smell of his skin and the pressure of his touch. Clarke felt like she was melting into his arms, losing herself in the kiss.â

Part 4
word count - 3,076
The following day greets you with a fragile tranquility, remnants of the prior day's chaos fading slowly into memory. As you, Bellamy, and Charlotte prepare to depart from the refuge of the cave, the crackling of the dying fire serves as a backdrop to the scene.
"Alright, let's get moving," Bellamy declares as he adjusts the straps of his pack. "We need to find Atom and figure out what the hell happened."
Bellamy, ever the impulsive one, rushes past you, his movements quick and purposeful. "Come on, let's go!" He calls over his shoulder to Charlotte, his brow is furrowed in concentration, eyes scanning the trees for any sign of Atom.
You nod in agreement, your own thoughts mirroring his as they move forward. you hang back for a moment. Your thoughts drift back to the young girl, Charlotte.
Despite her innocent appearance, there's something about her that rubs you the wrong way, a nagging feeling of unease that you can't quite shake.
The forest calls beyond the mouth of the cave, sunlight spearing the lush canopy to cast scattered gold upon the floor. You breathe deep the scent of rich earth and new growth, a balm after the underground darkness.
Your reverie shatters at a bloodcurdling scream - "Charlotte!" - your cry ricocheting off stone walls.
Wildly you scan the shadows for her and Bellamy. And then you see him - Atom, lying motionless on the ground. Dread grips you like a vice as you rush to his side.
"Atom." His name catches in your tight throat. With a racing pulse you grab for Atom's wrist, desperate for the beat of life.
Bellamy joins your bedside vigil over Atom's fog-ravaged body. Together you take stock of the horrific burns, the damage beyond healing. Atom stirs feebly at your whispers, eyes slitting open to fix on your faces.
"You think he's gonna make it?" Bellamy asks, unspoken fear dimming his usual arrogance.
You shake your head, your own voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know, Bellamy. It doesn't look good." Atom stirs at your touch, his eyes fluttering open, and he begs for mercy in a hoarse whisper.
Bellamy falters, Adam's apple bobbing. "Easy there, buddy," Bellamy says softly, hand hovering awkwardly over Atom's quaking shoulder. "We're here to help."
Atom's cracking voice interrupts, raw with agony. "Please," he gasps, fingers plucking at Bellamy's sleeve. "...make it stop."
Atom's eyes roll toward you, teeming with pain and desperate appeal, pleading for relief.
An unbearable decision hangs before you as you exchange a tense glance with Bellamy, each of you silently questioning if you're capable of making such a decision. Bellamy clutches the knife Charlotte handed him with whitened knuckles, hesitating.
The heavy quiet shatters at the crunch of leaves. Glancing up, you spot Clarke rushing toward you, Finn and Wells on her heels. Her gaze darts between you and Bellamy, questions burning behind her eyes.
"What happened?" she demands breathlessly.
You gesture helplessly to where Atom lays. "We found Atom," you explain, your voice heavy with emotion. Clarke's eyes widen, taking in his charred and weeping skin. "He's been burned by the fog. We don't know if he's gonna...â
You trail off but Clarke understands. With calm purpose, she kneels beside the boy, meeting his clouded eyes.
Some silent exchange seems to pass between them before she takes his hand. Then, gaze never leaving his, she draws her knife in one smooth motion. Atom doesn't flinch.
Humming softly, Clarke ends his suffering, the mercy killing masked behind that gentle melody. You look away, blinking through a film of tears as she continues humming him into the next life.
Finally, the song fades to silence. Hesitantly you glance back to see Clarke straightening slowly, face pale but composed. Her eyes shine with memories of other losses requiring similar strength.
You watch mutely as Clarke ends Atom's agony with that mournful melody, closing your eyes against the final act of mercy. A prickle on the back of your neck makes you glance over at Charlotte.
The girl stands frozen, transfixed by the blood blossoming across Atom's shirt. Her youthful face holds no horror or pity - only an eerie understanding that chills your bones.
Clarke's voice breaks the spell and Charlotte's faraway look vanishes, replaced by wide-eyed innocence as she meets your probing eyes.
âŠ
Twilight bled through the trees as you trudged back to camp, haunted and exhausted. Atom lay cradled in a makeshift bed, head lolling with each footfall.
Every glimpse of his burnt and lifeless face, now at peace, cut deep. You slipped through the camp gates to find anxious faces of your fellow survivors ringing around him.
Bellamy's grim head shake was all it took to curdle the atmosphere from one of hopeful anticipation to one of somber mourning. Only Wells lingered, features carved with sorrow.
âIâll go dig Atoms grave,â he offered quietly, nodding toward a secluded glade. Bellamy nodded before he stalked into the deepening gloom beyond the fires pits.
Too hollowed out for conversation, you drifted toward the dropship. As you made your way there, your attention was briefly drawn to a commotion nearby.
Bellamy stood locked in a heated exchange with Murphy, his voice continuing to rise in anger. You spared a glance at the confrontation, witnessing Bellamy grab Murphy's shirt and scream in his face.
âYou lose anyone here?" Bellamyâs voice was laced with bitterness. "Jasper?"
Murphy's response was curt. "Still breathing. Barely. I tried to take him out, but your psycho little sister..."
In an instant, Bellamy lunged at Murphy, pulling Murphy close by the collar of his shirt. "My what? My what?" Bellamy's voice was a low growl, filled with anger and barely contained fury.
Murphy met his gaze with a steely resolve. "Your little sister."
Bellamy's grip tightened, his frustration boiling over. "Yeah, that's right. My little sister. Got anything else you want to say about her?"
Murphy's expression remained impassive as he studied Bellamy's face. "Nothing. Sorry."
With a final shove, Murphy pushed Bellamy off of him. With a shake of your head, you turned away Stepping into the dropship, you were greeted by its familiar smell - a mixture of sweat and metal. It was a scent that had become synonymous with home, despite its less-than-pleasant connotations.
Inside, Octavia, Finn, and Monty sat together, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of dim lights. They passed around a bottle, their laughter filling the air as you walked over to join.
You accepted the burning mouthful passed your way, the fiery liquid providing a temporary reprieve from the ache in your chest
Octavia took a swig from the bottle, her face contorting slightly at the taste. "Ugh, this stuff tastes like it's been sitting out in the sun for weeks."
Finn chuckled, taking the bottle from her and raising it to his lips. "Well, beggars can't be choosers, O."
You reached out for the bottle, taking a small sip before passing it along. "Yeah, it's definitely better than nothing." A moment of silence fell over the group as they each took a turn with the bottle, lost in their own thoughts.
A sudden clamor jerked you back to the present moment. With wide eyes, you spun around to see Jasper half risen from his sickbed, his laughter echoing through the air despite the split lips that marred his face.
"Can I, uh, get a hit of that?" Jasper's request, though laced with exhaustion, carried a glimmer of his usual mischievous spirit.
"Jasper!" Octavia exclaimed, relief flooding her voice as she approached his bedside.
You stood beside him, your voice a soothing murmur as you attempted to calm his delirium. "Easy there, Jasper," you said softly, your eyes filled with concern.
Jasper grinned back at you, his eyes bright with feverish excitement. " âWas that a dream or did I get speared?" he said, his words slurred with exhaustion.
Octavia shot you a grateful smile, her hands still resting on Jasper's shoulders as she guided him back down onto the bed. "He's a tough one, that's for sure," she said, her voice tinged with admiration.
Octavia shot you a grateful smile, her hands still resting on Jasper's shoulders as she guided him back down onto the bed. "He's a tough one, that's for sure," she said, her voice tinged with admiration. Clarke's voice joined in with a hint of teasing.
"Thank you for not dying. I donât think I couldâve taken that today."
Jasper's playful demeanor returned as he quipped, "I'll try not to die tomorrow, too, if that's cool."
A bubble of astonished laughter escaped you, the tension of the moment breaking as you allowed yourself a moment of unbridled joy at Jasper's unexpected recovery.
âŠ
Delinquents hurried about their tasks, their movements a blend of urgency and weariness. Some tended to the camp's makeshift defenses, reinforcing barricades and sharpening weapons. the sound of hammering and the shuffle of feet as everyone worked together to fortify their makeshift home.
Worn beyond exhaustion, you retreated to your dim, motionless shelter, seeking refuge from the heat.
No sooner had your body slumped atop the threadbare blanket than a blazing sunbeam shattered the tomblike gloom. Blinking against harsh daylight now spearing through your tent flap, you made out Octaviaâs wild silhouette.
âGet up!â she ordered, panting as if sheâd dashed straight here. âJasper and I were exploring, we...look, you just gotta come see this.â A thread of real fear undercut her usual bravado.
âWhatâs going on?â Your chest constricted even as your legs obeyed, carrying you out beneath the unrelenting.
Octavia guided your steps, clutching one of your wrists and half-dragging you through the bustling camp to another tent where Clarke, Bellamy, and Jasper were already gathered.
Bursting inside, you blink at the grim tableau of Clarke, Bellamy and an alarmingly pale Jasper staring at a table. Octavia steers you to peer over Clarke's shoulder at a knife â and two severed fingers. Shock chokes the questions rising in your throat.
Clarke meets your horrified gaze grimly. âWe found these just inside the gates.â She turns the knife around illuminating an embossed mark.
âThe metal matches a broken panel on the dropship door.â Clarke took a deep breath, her resolve firm. "It means the Grounders didn't kill Wells. It was one of us," she stated, the weight of her words hanging heavy in the air.
âWait...â Jasperâs voice shakes. "So, there's a murderer in the camp?" His wide eyes dart frantically, as if a culprit might emerge from the shadows. Everyone exchanges ominous looks in the fraught silence. Jasper's expression grew more troubled by the moment. "Clarke?" he pressed.
âOne of over fifty suspects.â Bellamy folds his arms, radiating tension. âWe need to keep this quiet until we figure out whoâs walking around down here mutilating people.â
His stern glare settles on each member in turn, even young Octavia who juts her chin defiantly. âNo one discusses this outside this tent. As far as the rest know, this never happened. Understood?â
Clarke's eyes flash, jaw set like stone. "Get out of my way, Bellamy," she warns, hand straying to the knife. "Whoever did this needs to answer for it." Jasper shifts anxiously from foot to foot in the wake of the standoff.
Bellamy stands firm, looming larger. "And what exactly is your plan, Clarke? Just gonna wave that knife around 'till the guilty party breaks down confessing?" Derision laces his scoff.
Clarke bristles, getting in his face now. "Yeah, maybe I'll start with you. What are you gonna do... keep people afraid and they'll work for you? Is that it?" she retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Bellamy barks out a harsh laugh. "Yeah. That's it."
As Clarke and Bellamy trade barbs, their words fade against the roaring in your ears. Surely concealing such darkness cannot end well...yet revealing it prematurely may unleash chaos. You clear your throat, drawing sharp eyes.
"Maybe - maybe Bellamy has a point," you venture, pulse thudding. "Panic helps no one." Clarke regards you almost betrayed, but you stand firm. âThereâs more than one murderer in this camp... whoever they are, they're already outnumbered.â
Bellamy gives you an appraising look, a new glint of respect behind his brooding eyes as you continue, âItâs better to keep this between us. We donât even know whose knife that is.â
"Oh, really?" she grinds out. " J.M. John Murphy. The people have a right to know.â
âŠ
Clarke stormed out of the tent, her anger radiated. You exchanged a tense glance with Bellamy before your eyes wandered around the camp, searching for any signs of trouble.
In the distance, you spotted Charlotte standing alone, her expression troubled as she watched the unfolding confrontation. With a sinking feeling in your chest, you made your way toward her, your footsteps echoing off the dirt of the camp.
"Charlotte, are you okay?" you asked gently, your voice soft with concern as you approached her. She turned to you, her eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.
"I... I don't know," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
You crouched down beside her, your gaze searching hers for any hint of what was wrong. That's when you noticed the blood on her hand, stark against her pale skin.
Your heart skipped a beat as you reached out to gently take her hand in yours, your fingers brushing against the sticky warmth of the blood.
"What happened?" you asked
Charlotte swallowed hard, her eyes brimming with tears. "I... I don't remember," she admitted, her voice trembling with fear. The voices of the crowd rang out in agreement with Bellamy and Clarke, their cries echoing through the air.
You turned just in time, watching in horror as the crowd grew increasingly antsy, their fury unleashed upon Murphy.
You pushed through the swarm, fighting to reach Clarkes side. The chants for Bellamy to finish the job filled the air, the sound sending a chill down your spine. You raised your voice above the clamor hoping to sway the crowd with reason.
"This isn't justice, it's vengeance!"Â you shouted, your words echoing through the tumultuous air. But despite your efforts, the mob seemed deaf to reason, their anger consuming them.
Bellamy and Clarke were at the center of it all. You pushed your way through the crowd, determined to reach him and divert his attention from Clarke as they exchanged heated remarks.
âThis is on you, princess. You shouldâve kept your mouth shut.â You heard
You pushed Bellamyâs chest, "Bellamy, stop them!" you called out, your words barely audible over the roar of the crowd grasping Bellamy's arm. "Murphy wouldn't kill Wells. It was someone else.â The chants grew louder, each of the delinquents shouting Bellamyâs name in unison.
For an instant Bellamy meets your eyes, something wavering behind his mask of cold command. But then his chin lifts with familiar obstinance. Bellamy wrenches his wrist away, striding toward the rigged noose where Murphy spits curses.
Your lungs burn, the frenzied crowd pressing oppressively as Bellamy kicks the crate from under Murphy's feet. the crowd erupting into cheers of approval
The cheers and jeers clash violently with the roaring panic in your head. You glimpse Finn shoving through the human wall, only to disappear under grasping arms. âWhat the hell are you doing? Cut him down! Charlotte what are you doing?â
Then a small voice shrieks out, "Stop!" The crowd parts for Charlotte's quaking form. "Murphy didn't kill anyone," she gasps. "I stabbed Wells!"
Stunned silence drops like a smothering veil. Bellamy's smugness cracks, eyes darting wildly. Charlotte's confession rings in your pounding head as she repeats, "I killed him.
It took a moment for you to understand, but you knew what needed to be done.
With a swift movement, you reached for the axe at Bellamy's waist, your fingers closing around the handle with a steely determination. With one swing you cut the rope holding Murphy captive, freeing him from his bonds as Finn hurried to untie him.
"Get Charlotte away from here," Clarke hisses at your ear. Her fingers dig into your bicep, face set with determination to quell the riot brewing again in Bellamy's wake.
Clarke gives you a small shove and you run, the girl's clammy hand clenched in yours away from the mob. Away from her unthinkable confession.
âŠ
As you usher Charlotte back into the tent, anger burns hot within your body, thoughts swirling with the realization of her responsibility for Wells' death.
Clarke, Bellamy, and Finn enter the tent, their voices blending into a cacophony of resolution. Clarke's urgent call of your name pulls you out of your trance.
"Y/n? Hey, are you okay?" Clarke's voice cuts through the haze of your anger, her concern evident in her eyes.
Bellamy's voice breaks through, scanning your conflicted faces. âIf you guys have any bright ideas, speak up. Now you stay quiet.â He groaned. Your response is immediate, the words dripping with bitterness. "We should hand her over," you declare.
Clarke, Bellamy, and Finn are stunned by your nonchalance, before they can respond, "She's just a kid!" Clarke argues as Bellamy scoffs, "Try again." Only Finn nods reluctantly, avoiding your gaze.
Murphy's tirade slices through the tent walls. With a frustrated huff, Bellamy pushes outside the tent to quell murphyâs incessant whining, Clarke and Finn on his heels.
Alone with Charlotte, you crouch down, taking her thin shoulders. "You need to run," you urge quietly. "Find Clarke and Finn." Wide-eyed, she manages a small nod. With one last glance, she disappears into the forest.Â
You release a long breath, hoping you didn't just condemn or save her. âthe girl may be young, but justice down here allows no exceptions.â
You thought to yourself, if anyone balks, you know Bellamy will back you. His dark eyes told you he reached the same conclusion long before tonight.
âŠ
Bellamy approached the tent, you watched from your spot in the tent. Within a few steps inside, Murphy struck with a sudden, vicious blow, knocking Bellamy to the ground with a sickening thud.
Your breath caught in your throat as Murphy's rage turned toward Jasper, his fists flying in a brutal onslaught. With horror, you watched as Jasper crumpled under the force of the blows, his cries of pain echoing through the air.
Before Murphy could inflict any more damage, he stormed into the tent, only to find it empty.

ok this is mostly a list for @tangledstarlight who asked for bellarke fic recs, but is also for anyone who wants them!
alrighty im gonna kinda put these in some semblance of an order-ish lol, we shall see how it goes
vengeance is a dish best served cold -- slight au from 1x09, ANGST YESSSSS i love this fic so much we love to see early bellarke The meeting with the Grounders didn't go quite as planned. Now they're torturing Clarke, and hell hath no fury like Bellamy scorned.
Tears of August -- au from s2 ending, very long and not finished fic but i remember it being very good. accidental baby acquisition! and bellarke cuteness! this one is kinda famous i think?? i don't think i ever fully read it all lol She grabbed his hand and held it tight, checking over her shoulder. âListen, okay. Iâm his mother now, and I always will be, but he wasnât always mine, Bellamy. I found him.â
who's taking care of you? -- s2finale au where bellarke are stuck in a cave and clarke has to reckon with what mount weather did to bellamy I thought about how the show never acknowledged Bellamy's torture in Mount Weather once it was over and it made me so mad that I wrote 7000 words about it.
so this is how rumors get started -- s2au where bellarke gets mistaken for being married lol, i enjoyed this one a lot! (is rated E for steamy stuff so if that's not your jam then no worries) Or: Bellamy is not as fluent in Trig as he thinks he is
then the ice runs through her veins -- 3x04 divergent, bellamy captured/tortured and clarke to the rescue GOD I LOVE ANGSTY BELLARKE The Ice Nation takes Bellamy hostage in an effort to learn Clarkeâs secrets. Or â Azgeda tries to get at Wanheda through her greatest weakness, but Clarkeâs not about to just let the Ice Queen send her Bellamyâs head in a box.
Common Ground -- season 4 speculation fic, INCREDIBLE i have reread this one multiple times Or: Earth is the Titanic, and there aren't enough lifeboats. Bellamy doesn't think he deserves to be on one. listne i know that's the description but that STICKS WITH ME!!!!!
you still have hope? -- s4 THE LIST SCENE i'm pretty sure i have a bunch of these ones saved lol because how can you not??? Clarke is no Titan, but in the rare quiet moments when Bellamy brings up ancient myths, she canât help but empathize with Atlas. Except instead of the weight of the world on her shoulders, it is in the palm of her hand, millions of pounds weighing down her pen as she marks the page, each swoop of her handwriting taking strength Clarke isnât sure she has. Itâs not a burden she chose to carry, but now itâs one she must. If she doesnât bear this weight, who will?
Bites, Bites -- another s4 List scene!! âThe new hundred,â Bellamy observes from over her shoulder. She hadnât realised he was standing right behind her. âWhy is it always a hundred?â âThe universe must have a taste for irony," she says, tapping the pen on the desk. She's getting very tired of the universe's antics of late.
you were clearly meant for more, than a life lost in the war --post s4, the Ring hears Clarke once a year. unfinished but soooooooo good and sad!!!! (They hear from Clarke once a year, and this is how it happens, but first: first, they mourn.)
is he alright, all alone? -- another post s4 sad bellamy fic because that's who i am as a person Theyâve all tried different ways to get him to open up, so to speak.
The Wall Between Us -- 5x10 au clarke goes back to fight for bellamy, i don't remember this one as well but i do know it was good!! Clarke goes back to the bunker to fight for Bellamy's life, even though his words from the day before echo in her mind, reminding her where she really stands.
Come Get A Hold Of Me -- s6 touchstarved Clarke my absolute beloved, this fic i have also reread multiple times and i love it Clarke is overwhelmed by the intensity of being around a civilization after six years of solitude with Madi. She is also very touch-starved. Bellamy notices.
and it goes like this -- s6 clarke thoughts about bellamy! Clarke has always known Bellamy loved her. Sheâs just never thought she was good enough for it.
Forfeit -- 6x12 speculation, feat. bellarke kissinggggggg to throw off the suspicions we love to see it When Russell captures Bellamy and demands proof of her identity, Clarke is forced to think fast.
We shall not cross into an unfamiliar land -- clarke can see ghosts and this fic is so good! (AU where Clarke see ghosts and is the Commander of Death in more than one way)
now for some AU fics!
It's something sinister to love (without regard for dear tomorrow) -- met on the ark/ghosts au, by our wonderful friend @pink-flame (who probs also has some good bellarke recs!!) When the ghost of the Alpha Station Princess turns up in his quarters, Bellamy knows he has enough on his plate without getting involved in her problems. He just wants her to figure out her unfinished business and move on. As things start to unravel on the Ark their relationship begins to change until he would follow her anywhere. Even hell.
Passing of the Skye Boat -- ok this is an outlander au that's pretty epic!! i know very little about outlander but i enjoyed this one! (s2 and on becomes au) After returning from war as an army nurse, Clarke and her fiancĂ© are exploring Washington D.C. as a way to relearn each other due to their time apart. But when Clarke stumbles across a NASA exhibit about ways to prevent the human race from dying from nuclear war â by way of livable space ship they are calling the âArkâ â Clarke is transported elsewhere, and into another war.
If the Right One Came Along -- modern au where Clarke works at a library and Bellamy comes back home. it's really long but also really good!!!! The fact that itâs with her former best friend-slash-crush isnât a big deal. After all, their arrangement is only for the few weeks heâs in town before he returns to his celebrity life. Thatâs definitely not enough time for her to fall for him againâŠ
I Found Peace in Your Violence -- THIS IS THE COOLEST FIC I HAVE EVER READ!!! it's a very unique modern au where a "kill gene" has been found and they send everyone to a special school for it. i think of this one every time i hear that song, but also this is just such a good one. another long one, but man alive it's real good Clarke Griffin has it all. Sheâs popular, an artistic prodigy and has a wealthy family to boot. So when her perfect world comes crashing down around her, itâs time to sink or swim. She tests positive for the Homicidal Tendency Syndrome gene, also known as the kill gene. Clarke is plucked from her comfortable life and placed into a school with people just like her - carriers, delinquents.
What's A Little Quaffle Between Friends? -- hp au where Clarke has to patch up quidditch player bellamy a bunch, i remember this one being very witty and banter-y? (haven't read it in a while so don't quote me on that lol) Bellamy gets injured in a Quidditch game and gets sent to the hospital wing, where Clarke volunteers during her free periods. She checks up on him during the night, and the next time he gets injured, she happens to be there again. Then it keeps happening.
Your words on my skin -- modern soulmate au that's pretty cute! Clarke is nine when she realises she has a soulmate.
in grief, Demeter circles the earth -- super unique au, mashing s3 and s5 in a really cool way!! havne't read this one in a while but i remember it being amazing. also very long "Not a ship from the sea," Indra snaps, a split second before Monty draws in a sharp, shocked breath. "A ship from the sky." Clarke understands before the others do. "You think Skaikru did it," she says softly.
ok we gotta give @pawprinterfanfic props for coming up with such good au fics for them because ahhhhhhh these last ones are all by them!!!!
a castle in the clouds -- star wars au because why the heck not?? it's soooooo good i do love this one or: a princess falls in love with a criminal over the course of a week and a day
starry eyes and galaxy minds -- spiderman au that i remember being super cute and fun!!! Five times Clarke Griffin met Spider-Man and the one time she met Bellamy Blake.
Simple Pleasures -- hunger games au MY BELOVED this fic is long but soooooo good!!!! Clarke is a medic from District 6. More importantly, sheâs a dangerous criminal in the eyes of the Capitol. It isnât a surprise when she is reaped for the 45th Hunger Games; itâs the only way for the Capitol to silence her. Bellamy spent his life protecting his younger sister. When Octavia volunteers for the Games to honour their district, he knows itâs his responsibility to follow her into the arena. He would give anything for her to become the Victor, even his safety. When they meet in the Capitol, Clarke canât deny the connection she feels to him. He makes her feel more than a sacrifice. He makes her feel hope. She knows itâs dangerous to trust others, especially when in the arena, but why deny herself some final few simple pleasures?
Paint me in Trust -- MY OTHER FAV FIC OF ALL TIME this is an hp au but like, set during the war where they're on the run AND IT'S SO GOOD!! very long and also rated E but that doesn't come in for a while and you could easily skip if wanted Somehow, she finds her way to a safe house where she meets with other wizards and witches on the run.

scrosciare [a bellarke ficlet]
scrosciare - the action of rain pouring down or of waves hitting rocks and cliffs [from this prompt list] Clarke-centric, implied Bellarke | setting: season 3 inspired canon divergent, if the plot had simply been a survival story and Arkadia was a settlement just like the others | wc: ~900
The water churning below the cliffs echoed the anxiety thatâd taken deep root in Clarkeâs body. Crashing violently, upheaving, tumultuous. It was life on Earth personified in her and expressed in the waves below. She watched it in a daze. Hypnotized by the swirling, angry blue below. When Octavia had said the color of it reminded her of Clarkeâs eyes, it hadnât quite felt like a compliment.
She had to keep telling herself that they were doing the right thing, that Floukru coming to help them was not the destined disaster that Luna so clearly believed it to be.
Maybe she was right.
But the war against Azgeda was impending and Arkadia, while comfortably established as a settlement on the ground now, wasnât prepared to fight. Trikru was of assistance but they needed more. Reluctant or not, the numbers spoke for themselves and alliances had to be made, no matter the feelings on either side.
A spray of saltwater speckled Clarkeâs face as one of the bigger waves crashed against the wall of rock below. As much as she missed the woods surrounding Arkadia, the trees sheâd come to covet, she couldnât deny the pull of the ocean. The ground had always been a mystery, but water was something else entirely. Rain had been startling but welcome. Lakes and rivers a source of resources. But the oceanââsheâd never imagined something like this. Angry, powerful. A source all of its own. How Luna and her people had come to connect with it baffled her; it left her intimidated if she was honest. Clarke had felt a lot of fear since reaching the ground, but this seemingly bottomless body of water was unsettling in ways she struggled to describe.
âDonât fall in,â voiced someone behind her. Teasing, but not.
âI wonât,â she answered Bellamy, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth despite it all.
He carefully emerged into the corner of her vision and she took the moment to steal a long glance at him. The dampness of the air had flattened his curls down, though they fought valiantly to return to form. Despite his good-hearted warning, she couldnât miss the grimness etched into the squint of his gaze. The firmness of his jaw, clenched in that sort of way it had been for a while. A detail she never missed. Impending war did that to people. Especially the more his status eclipsed those previously in the command in the armies and his sister continued to pull away.
âWell, youâre standing pretty damn close to the edge. Canât blame a guy for getting nervous,â he said, eyes finally flicking to her. Catching her in the act of staring.
Clarke quickly looked away. âI imagine some people wouldnât mind.â
Biting anger, lashing against nothing. Maybe she was the ocean. Did that make Bellamy her rock, her cliff that she raged against?
âHey,â he said quietly, startling her as he carefully reached out and touched her. Heâd been doing that more since heâd admitted his anger to her. Since sheâd initiated a hug that still lived in her skin. Maybe he was the waves, leaving imprints behind and shaping her forever.Â
âWeâre going to get through this. Together,â Bellamy continued. âAnd weâââ (here a deep breath) âââI would definitely mind if you fell in. If you want to see the ocean more, we can come back some day after all of this. Maybe one day there will be trade routes and someone will have to keep relations good between everyone. Maybe there will be towns here again, like it used to be back before the bombs. We can come back then and actually explore it all, but in order for that to happen that means youâre not allowed to fall, or jump, into the ocean.â
It was an image of a future that made tears prick at her eyes. Would she see the ocean differently if they were no longer at war? Could it instead be a source of respite, villages dotting the horizon and people walking alongside the ocean?Â
Could it be her and Bellamy⊠guns and strategy left behind alongside the weight of humanity?
It took a few hurried blinking away of tears to realize that he had gently pulled her further away from the cliff's edge, only then registering that she really had been standing frighteningly close to the soaring cliffside and ocean below.
Bellamyâs hand was warm against her arm, his solid presence a comfort she hadnât realized sheâd needed so soon already. Not long had passed since their recent embrace before going to meet Luna, but she feared she was craving more than before. Sheâd been introduced to his touch, as well as the ocean in a short span of time. And like the rocks below, knew sheâd be forever changed by it.  Â
âThank you,â Clarke said quietly, quickly wiping at her eyes as she turned to face Bellamy. When he looked at her curiously, she gave him her own watery smile. âFor forgiving me. For all of it, really. Iâm not sure I deserve it.â
âYou needed it, itâs yours. Iâll always give that to you,â he answered, voice rough yet soft.Â
They fell into amiable silence, a quiet filled with promise. His hand still lingering on her arm as they turned to both gaze out at the crashing waves, filling the quiet with the suddenly comforting, repetitive churn of the water below.Â
Being like the ocean didnât have to be a bad thing. Theyâd simply need its resolve so that one day their futures could intertwine again.

Fine by dusk
Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Smut, Angst, A/busive Relationships, veteran Bellamy working construction, Nurse Clarke;
Words: 15,415
Bellamy and his contruction crew are hired to fix the Griffin manor's back porch and garden. Clarke's stuck in an abusive marriage with Finn who's dream is to have the perfect family life so he could rise through the ranks, become mayor, then perhaps even senator and he doesn't care what he has to do to get it. Meanwhile Clarke feel sad and uncertain of what is even happening to her anymore. That is until she lays eyes on Bellamy Blake.
Bellarke Christmas exchange, written for @dark-scape
"I love it." she admitted "Used to want to go to art school."
"Why didn't you?" she shrugged and looked down at their hands that were so close to each other that all she wanted to do was take his fingers in hers and never let go of them.
"I don't know...mom wanted me to go to medschool and I did grow to love being a nurse."
"But your true passion is drawing?" she hummed and he picked up her chin with his hand, putting their faces really close to each other again. "You should keep up with it."
"I only started drawing again recently." she didn't tell him it had all to do with him but judging by the cocky smile he got on his face, he read right through her.
"Oh yeah? Was there any reason why?"
"I got inspired again." she admitted and decided to tease him as she pushed closer and now their noses touched while her hand reached over to his middle where she put the stethoscope earlier. He reached to put his beer aside and take his leg off the table too, coming in even closer to her. Two could play this game and she was intent to show him that.
"By what?" he asked and she smiled as she snuck her hand under his shirt for a brief moment and grazing his ribs with her nails. His stomach jumped, so did his dick in his pants that were getting really thight for him.
"I have no idea." she said innocently as she pulled away and made his breath hitch again. "What about you? Any passions?" she picked up the plates from the table and went to the sink where she threw away whatever was left in them and turned the water on. Bellamy wasn't stupid-he understood the signs clearly, she wanted this as much as he did and they were simply fooling around right now, playing their game.
He got on his feet and limped to the counter where he leaned on it from behind and trapped her so that she couldn't move. He leaned into her ear and whispered.
"War. I've always been good at it." he admitted. Her breath hitched and she dropped the plate she was holding as the water kept beating on it. When he pushed a bit harder from behind her, rubbing his half-hard dick against her butt, she gasped and he reached to tuck a strand of hair fallen on her cheek, behind her ear. "That and...history. Writing. I like that."
"So you're a writer?"
"Used to be. Overtime I just got better at holding a rifle as I said. Some people may find it to be fucked up but..." he let his hand fall to her side and he quickly snuck it under her arm, so he'd be able to cup her breasto over her thin shirt and make her move on her toes and press hard against his body.
"It isn't." she looked back at him and he smiled at her as he looked down on her. With his good hand he reached out and turned the tap off, then he placed it on her lower stomach, close to her crotch and pushed her harder against his body, rubbing his dick up and down her crack a little without breaking eye-contact with her. "Maybe you should pick it up again." she offered, gasping for it. Her hand flew to his wrist, desperate to hold onto something and he just smiled devilishly again. She hadn't felt that hot and aroused in...maybe ever, she was already pathetically dripping in her panties, so bad, she just wanted to touch herself and his cock pressing against the crack of her ass made it worse despite the fact that it was all happening with their clothes on.
"I don't know...I found a new hobby lately. I think you and I share it." he whispered as his other hand worked to find her nipple and pinch it between his fingers while his other hand went lower to cup her crotch through her jeans. She wasn't sure if he could feel the wetness there already but his eyes widened a little which meant he probably could.
"What's that?"
"Undressing at the window every night and making me go crazy about you." he whispered before he finally leaned down and kissed her.
Clarke lost any ground she had and almost collapsed in his arms-this felt like nothing she's ever done. His lips were so soft against hers and his tongue didn't just move uncomfortably in her mouth, desperate to do something like Finn's did, no...he just kissed her slowly, wanted to become one with her and allowed her the chance to also take charge if she wanted, which she did.

the courage of stars: chapter 9
When Clarke wakes, she is alone.
She reaches out and feels the dent in the bed where Bellamy once lay, the fabric cool to the touch. The ring on her finger is taunting her, a dismal reminder her that there is someone missing, and Clarke feels the absence like a phantom limb; there is a hole in her chest, an ache that she has never felt before, and she places her palm against her sternum as if that will ease the pain. Clarke does not do helpless well, but she feels completely off kilter, like a painting just slightly askew, without anyone to right her.
Bellamy is gone.
And she is alone.
