Bellamy and his contruction crew are hired to fix the Griffin manor's back porch and garden. Clarke's stuck in an abusive marriage with Finn who's dream is to have the perfect family life so he could rise through the ranks, become mayor, then perhaps even senator and he doesn't care what he has to do to get it. Meanwhile Clarke feel sad and uncertain of what is even happening to her anymore. That is until she lays eyes on Bellamy Blake.

"I love it." she admitted "Used to want to go to art school."

"Why didn't you?" she shrugged and looked down at their hands that were so close to each other that all she wanted to do was take his fingers in hers and never let go of them.

"I don't know...mom wanted me to go to medschool and I did grow to love being a nurse."

"But your true passion is drawing?" she hummed and he picked up her chin with his hand, putting their faces really close to each other again. "You should keep up with it."

"I only started drawing again recently." she didn't tell him it had all to do with him but judging by the cocky smile he got on his face, he read right through her.

"Oh yeah? Was there any reason why?"

"I got inspired again." she admitted and decided to tease him as she pushed closer and now their noses touched while her hand reached over to his middle where she put the stethoscope earlier. He reached to put his beer aside and take his leg off the table too, coming in even closer to her. Two could play this game and she was intent to show him that.

"By what?" he asked and she smiled as she snuck her hand under his shirt for a brief moment and grazing his ribs with her nails. His stomach jumped, so did his dick in his pants that were getting really thight for him.

"I have no idea." she said innocently as she pulled away and made his breath hitch again. "What about you? Any passions?" she picked up the plates from the table and went to the sink where she threw away whatever was left in them and turned the water on. I’m rewatching the first seasons of the 100 right now and am again reminded. How. HOW. did/do people like bellamy. He’s so annoying I literally have to skip every scene with him cause he’s so stupid 😭

It was literally 90% just hetero thirst. Which on a basic lizard brain level I don't object to at all, because lord knows I have loved plenty of characters for their hotness alone, but whew Bellfuck is A Choice. I mean I personally don't understand the attraction. Dude always looks sweaty af in that thing. Like he is constantly running a low grade fever. And I've said it before, he just generally has this aura that makes me feel like he smells like old hot dog water 🤷‍♀️

But that aside, yeah idk dude he was a terrible character. Like just... bad. He was poorly written, they kept trying to make it seem like he was just a ~sad boy with a heart of gold who made bad choices for good reasons was always UwU dOiNg HiS bEsT~ underdog hero instead of reality, which was that he was a controlling, hypocritical asshat weirdo who slept with underage girls and tried to kill/imprison/manipulate Clarke along with anyone who didn't bow to his stupid bitch boy rules that inevitably fell apart anyway because was,,, an awful leader🙂 (my "I'm fine" smile only my eye is twitching)

Hello my fellow tumblees! It’s been awhile!Started my rewatch of The 100! (Finally!)

I just finished episode 1 and I noticed that at the end, there was a shot of someone watching from the trees.

The grounders could have killed them at any time but didn’t till Jasper crossed the river. In later episodes it’s said that it was because they crossed some sort of boundary but Jasper was on the other side for a few minutes before he got speared.

It wasn’t until AFTER Jasper picked up the Mount Weather sign and started cheering, that he got speared. The grounders fear MW, so maybe they only speared Jasp because the new people from the sky that they don’t trust yet cheered for their enemy.

Maybe that’s what really started the grounders hating sky ppl. They came from the sky, landed in their territory, and cheered for their enemy(probably thought they were re enforcements). If I were them, I’d probably react the same way.

1 episode down. 83 more to go. Then it’s the final season!

during hiatus, when the fandom was pretty quiet, and I had already heard all of the bad theories about them, I was becoming more Be//arke neutral.

being back in full-swing fandom for five episodes, which had not even a Be//arke CRUMB (“what the hell are you talking about?” is a reference to Octavia sacrificing herself, not to Clarke, sorry not sorry,) but focused FULLY on Echo’s devotion to Bellamy, and Clarke’s devotion to Her People, and seeing several new, extremely bad hot takes about both Echo and Be//arke has me firmly in the “fuck no” camp again.

I don’t take pleasure in it, because I would hate to be in your position. But I can’t really sympathize when to me, the canon reading of their relationship, especially in this season, could not be clearer.

Bellamy’s main concern is Octavia, as it has been since s1.

Clarke’s main concern is her people, as it has been since s1.

All of the readings of them being in love and being endgame are based on fandom interpretations, not on canonical readings.

Y’all watched two coworkers fall in love, allowing their personal chemistry to impact their performances, and you told yourselves that it meant that the show you’re watching is a romance. It’s not. It never has been.

Bob has a new Instagram where he’s posting some cute pictures of Eliza. I imagine that will only upswing as this ship sinks. If you really love how those two people look together, there’s your resource.

It ain’t gonna happen in this show. Every defense of Be//arke that I’ve ever seen comes from outside references, drawing on allegory from other stories (which have never been referenced by the showrunners, not once, like Pride and fucking Prejudice), and extrapolations from fandom, like the idea that Echo is obsessed with Bellamy and Bellamy is just with her out of obligation or pity or because he still doesn’t realize Clarke is in love with him - or some other really fucked-up shit that honestly casts Bellamy in the worst light possible, how would you want him with Clarke when he treats someone he’s romantic with like that?? Don’t you think it matters how someone treats their partner, regardless of their feelings towards them??

Y’all are going to be pissed when this show ends with Bellamy and Echo reuniting, still as in love as they’ve ever been, and Clarke returning to Madi, who is canonically the most important person in the world to her. And I’m not going to be here to give anyone a shoulder to cry on, because y’all played yourselves.

i dont like mama clarke and daddy bellamy fighting and disagreeing. it is not productive for your group of kids especially with the grounders coming. i like that clarke balances out bellamy’s negativity tho. way to stay positive. i could never cuz im quite the cynic if y’all if haven’t figured that out yet

I was so ready to give up on this show. Halfway through season 5 in fact. I thought the writing had gone completely rogue from where we left Bellarke in season 4. Season 5 was dark and chaotic. It felt convoluted. Then I did a rewatch. And then rewatched just the Bellarke scenes via YouTube. And omg it was there, Bellarke was still there.

Which brings us to season 6. It’s giving me life and episode 9 was superb Bellarke content so I’m going to do what Bellarkes do best and add one more unnecessary analysis of why Bellarke is (blatantly now) endgame.

Let’s look at two of the most important Bellarke scenes of Season 6 (so far) and they both came in episode 4, before the Clarke body snatching that nearly sent Bellamy into a nervous breakdown.

The Amends Scene:

Clarke wants to make amends to Bellamy for leaving him in Polis to die. He assures her it’s not necessary, but she persists, taking ownership for her mistake and promising him it will never happen again.

Clarke also makes a point of telling Bellamy that she considers him just as much her family as Madi. We can see this admission by Clarke has a huge effect on Bellamy. He looks relieved, overjoyed, and it’s because he feels the same way. There’s a Bellarke Hug and then the scene ends with zero personal space between these two.

The Party Scene:

Omg this whole scene is crazy-in-your-face Bellamy loves Clarke. It’s important to note that this scene happens the same day as the Amends Scene (and that Bellamy finally gets to see Clarkey in a dress looking hot af but I digress). Basically she and the doctor dude are all over each other and then the camera pans to Bell with this sad sad puppy dog look.

The interaction he has with Echo next is very telling as to what he’s feeling here. Echo approaches but stops short expecting Bellamy to meet her halfway. Maybe she wants to leave the party or maybe she’s been looking for him, we aren’t sure. Instead of walking directly over to her HE HESITATES AND LOOKS BACK AT THE DANCE FLOOR, seeming reluctant to leave his position. I mean, he can’t help himself, he steals a look back at Clarke even while talking to Echo:

Anyways, Bellamy is visibly upset and Echo wants to know why. He explains that the last time he was at a party, his sister was arrested. This is interesting because we know for a FACT, the last time Bellamy was at a party was way more recent, in season 4. It was Jasper’s end-of-the-world party where he told some random girl he couldn’t dance (see GIF for Bellamy clean-shaven-sass nostalgia) before she grabs his hand and leads him to a group at the bar to party the night away.

Others in the fandom have also pointed out that Unity Day in season 1 was another party he was present for way after his sister’s arrest. Either way, Bellamy wasn’t sad at these parties so the reason he gives to Echo for his melancholy demeanor is false. The writers know this, the fans know this, so why the lie?

Let’s get back to their convo for a minute.

Echo doesn’t understand why Bellamy is standing there being sad about his sister when they could just leave and go get her. Yes Echo, I agree, why can’t Bellamy leave the party and go get Octavia? Because he’s not sad about his sister in this moment he’s sad about Clarke.

If there’s any doubt of this then what Bellamy does next completely seals it for me. He loses it and gets angry at Echo. He’s angry at her for not being “human” enough and not sharing in his grief of losing Monty and Harper. He claims the Echo he met on the ring was like that. Echo is firm in her response “this isn’t about me” but Bellamy cuts her off and keeps going because he doesn’t want her to say who it’s really about. He’s got to get out of this conversation somehow so he hits below the belt to drive her away and makes some statement about her being devoid of feeling like a “good Azgeda spy”. It works, Echo storms off, visibly wounded.

Honestly I would have slapped him if he were my bf for being a total dick. And I suspect he’s wrong about Echo. She’s hasn’t changed. From the audience’s perspective she’s the same. Reserved, aloof, and in-control Echo. Bellamy is the one who’s changed. He’s not so head!Bellamy as before. He’s more like heart!Bellamy in this scene. He’s the one who is changing because Clarke is back in his life, she let him know that very day how much he still means to her and the old feelings are rising to the surface. That’s why Echo says his tirade isn’t about her. It’s about him and Clarke.

As soon as Echo leaves Bellamy’s face is full of regret. He knows he’s wrong, Echo didn’t deserve this from him. They get together later and Echo tries to open up more about her past but it feels forced, this isn’t her. She’s trying to give him what he says he needs but the reality is he needs Clarke.

Remember Bellamy tried to shut down Clarke’s attempt to apologize in the Amends Scene but she very easily navigates past his defenses and is able to reach him on a deeply emotional level. We’ve seen this time and again, season after season. She gets him, they get each other and the Bellamy and Echo fight shows they don’t quite work.

Everything that happens after this is just icing on top of the Bellarke cake. I mean Bellamy notices a change in body-snatched Clarke within milliseconds, even before her own mother and daughter do. He weeps openly for an entire episode over Clarke’s supposed death. And then he gives Clarke the equivalent of an “I love you” in a post-apocalyptic world where people don’t seem to live past middle age by telling her “I won’t let you die”.

In conclusion, Bellarke IS RISING higher than ever and I just hope they survive long enough to reach canon (looking at you JRoth).

no offense but like.. our disappointment for the finale really blinded us from how unnecessary that bellarke reunion hug was. they hugged like that, twice, in the sunset, with that song in the background, after being separated for a few hours. and that shit was powerful af. i mean they RAN into each others arms, clarke was having an entire breakdown and bellamy was reassuring and comforting her and it was so poetic like did yall SEE that bc hot damn. compare that to the b.echo reunion scene that lasted for seconds after they were apart for a few days, not knowing whether the other one was okay or not. bellamy could have easily fucking cried into her arms and told her how guilty he felt for leaving her or just out of relief, like IT REALLY ISNT THAT HARD. if you’re trying to push the “bellarke is platonic” narrative youre doing a piss poor job at it, and i mean seriously really awful, that’s PATHETIC, literally no effort at all. also, is jroth really that stupid that he’d put that scene in there JUST to bait us, because dude i’m pretty sure if that’s what he wanted he could of literally let them hug for .2 seconds and this fandom would still be alive and kickin it.
