A few Parallels....

I seen the post a few hours ago and well... I’m going to point out the parallels between Hitler and Trump.... I just want to preface this with- I’m not a political person, but I’m also not a dumb ass....

Without further ado...

The Similarities

* Hitler and Trump both denounce, discredited and-or attacked the media or anyone that was against them. 

* Closing boarders was the center piece of their campaign.

* They both chose specific demographics to blame their nations problems on. 

   For Hitler it was the Jews and Slavs. For Trump it was anyone of color.

* Both provide the masses with one form of media to obtain information from them. Therefore the masses do not receive any outside influence. 

  For Hitler it was a radio. For Trump- Twitter.

* We’ll stay away from both calling the media “lying press” or “fake news.” Neither admitted to mistakes they've made. Their lies where the truth, and ignored experts and anyone that opposed their ideology was an enemy of the people.

*Hitler didn't take Germany by force. He used a lot of public speaking methods to get himself to that power, used propaganda among the masses before ultimately securing his position by putting people who believed in his idea of Making German Great Again... Trump used similar tactics while implanting the idea that we should be Making America Great Again... 

* They both used mass meetings to cement in their status. (Hitler was for a charismatic leader , while Trump is a narcissist.) While dumbing down their speeches and using simple sentences to make sure that reached everyone.

The Differences

* Germany was in recovery from losing the First World War - The United States isn’t recovering from any war.

* Hitler's fascism was a coherent attempt to overturn the political systems. Trump is a populist movement (according to a few articles)

Overall

There is a lot of similarities between the two parties, and some are rather uncanny and down right frightening. I tried to pull some difference other than The time period because its important in an academic sense to express both sides of an argument and site sources you have taken information from (all linked below). You can find several more sources from literally Googling “Parallels between Hitler and Trump” and you would be surprise by how many results show up- or maybe you will not be, but its there. 

As apart of the academic sense I tried to give this post, I am willing to hear both sides in a civil matter. Please note I said civil. Think of debate team if you must.
