Day 2: Dress up and Open Communication

I started the day as most girls do. Get up, put together a cute outfit for the day, washed my face, did my makeup and got dressed. Today I had no work calls so I could be in femme all day. The day was starting off right. I felt cute, happy and excited about the day. Really and truly felt free, but as in all things in life reality comes in. My amazing wife made breakfast as I did some house work, and something felt off. As we started eating there was something on her mind, so I asked what was going on. She then tells me her stresses and fears. She fears losing me as a husband, that I will want to become a woman, and she is afraid that if she can’t accept it that I would leave her. This fear came as a result of a game we played a couple of days ago called “Let’s get Deep”. It's a get to know you game where you ask your partner questions, and the question she cited was “What is a deal breaker for you?” My answer was, “If someone can't accept me for who I am, that was a deal breaker.” I meant it because the woman I dated before I met my wife hated all of my interests, not just sissyhood and crossdressing, but Dungeons and Dragons, Anime, Manga, and some Fantasy. We bonded over some books, but never the books I liked. It was an emotionally abusive relationship where I had to change everything about me in order to make it work, and I wasn’t happy. I told my wife this, along with reassuring her that we do have the same loves and interests, the only place where we struggle is my crossdressing hobby. It was that fear paired with all of the stresses from our move and getting work stuff set up right for her to do her job and it just isn’t quite working. I took her by the hand and professed from the bottom of my heart how much I love her, and that I would forever and always be her husband. I promised her that I am and will always be me. I told her how crossdressing is my stress relief and talked about how my dysphoria goes away when I am crossdressed. I even reassured her that just because I look more feminine, doesn’t mean she would lose me.

What I guess I am trying to say is this. My wife does love me and accepts all parts of me. She worries about this as any spouse would worry about their spouses safety. It is by us being honest with each other that we can grow together and work through our problems. After we had our heart to heart and comforted each other, she asked if I had a feminine name. I went through and gave her the history of Nicki, and asked if she could pick one. I said she could, and said “I think, in that outfit you look more like an Ellenore.” I smiled and told her it was a cute name. The rest of the day went on as normal. I even got to try curling my hair, and I love the results. 

My normal hair is nice but it's a little flat. I can work with some styles but as soon as I curled my hair I had a vision. I tied the back of my hair up into a ponytail and curled some of my hair to frame my face and it looked amazing. I felt sooo pretty. I really did feel comfortable in my skin, like all of my hardwork and patience finally paid off. I walked more confidently and took these wonderful Pictures. 

As the day drew to a close I did an aerobic workout cause I am trying to lose some weight. I could only wear my normal workout clothes since I don’t have any fem workout clothes to work up a sweat in. By the end of the workout I was sweating and felt the endorphins flowing. I decided that would be the end of being dressed up for the day and when I went into the bathroom, for the first time in a long time I was able to look at myself in the mirror and smile. I looked how I always dreamed I could look, even if I was sweaty, I thought I looked beautiful.
