@spiritscienceofficial Every woman has a past. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some were physically abused, had violent parents, and pubertal issues. Others had sexual abuse as a child from their family members. Some had messed up love stories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you see a woman who went through any of these but had already wiped her tears, masked her sorrows with a perfect smile, and started walking towards her future because she still has some hope left. Do not confront her, but walk with her for a while.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You'll know how sweet that soul is and how firm her hopes are! You'll be amazed at how she carries herself after all her energy has been sucked out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #embodiment #wildwoman #bodycelebration #physicality #listentothebody #thebodysaysno #femininerising #goddessrising #divinefeminine #maui #sacredfeminine #wildfeminine #wildwoman #wildwomansisterhood #wildwomanrising #iamwoman #spiritscience#symbolsforagod #symbolsofpower #lifechange #beliefmatters #beliefchange #beliefcreatesreality #beliefinmyfuture #lovemyreligion#faithinhumanity #mysterylocation #mysterymansaveshislife #positivenergy #embracediversity https://www.instagram.com/p/CAQ63MBJJJg/?igshid=1dvqv86h7390d

3 Common Mistakes Even Smart and Ambitious People Make That Keep Them from Taking Advantage of Life’s Best Opportunities
Tumblr media
Do you feel like you're missing out on life's best opportunities? You're intelligent. You're driven. Are you ever up at night wondering why and how these opportunities are passing you by? Here are three common mistakes you're probably not even aware you're making and what you can do to avoid repeating them.
Mistake #1: Pursuing the Skin Deep Opportunities
These are the opportunities which appear highly attractive to you at the outset, but are really an overall terrible match for you. The beauty of these opportunities is only skin deep. What about that great looking guy/gal you dated that you had nothing in common with, that job with the exceptional pay and prestige that made you miserable, or even that giant, glazed doughnut that beckoned you from the bakery case?
You're so attracted to these opportunities, it can be extremely difficult to pass them up initially or give them up later.
You may even enlist others to help convince you that pursuing this kind of opportunity is a good choice. When you get really honest with yourself though, these opportunities are not actually a good match for you.  Once your finally realize this, you usually end up wishing you could get back all of the time and energy you put toward pursuing them (or working them off later, in the case of the doughnut!).
Mistake #2: Not Pursuing the Inner Beauty Opportunities
You've probably guessed it already. These are the opportunities which may not be as attractive to you initially, but match up really well with your goals in life. Sometimes, it has to do with first impressions. Have you ever dated someone wonderful who didn't initially catch your eye? Do you talk yourself out of doing the work you love because you think it couldn't possibly support you? Even though you know you enjoy fresh salads when you eat them and your body feels better the rest of the day, do your eyes go straight to the heavy, fried foods section of the menu?
Inner Beauties are the opportunities you might talk yourself out of, sometimes over and over again using a variety of excuses. You frequently don't give Inner Beauties a second glance, sometimes not even a first glance. Many times, you don't even notice these opportunities are choices available to you.
Sometimes, you see Inner Beauties in hindsight for their true value and other times, you never become aware of what you've passed up at all.
Mistake #3: That old, reliable Self Sabotage
This is when you find an opportunity or relationship that is a good match for you and pursue it. Initially, things go very well. In fact, it's all going so well that you get nervous and become fearful of losing everything you've gained. Sneaky doubts creep in. You start looking over your shoulder and around every corner for what's going to go wrong and ruin everything. Where are the faults, you wonder? And, as you seek, so shall you find. Through your own fear, you poison otherwise great relationships, careers, and other opportunities. You sabotage yourself by misinterpreting others' motives, finding fault where you normally wouldn't, making excuses, blaming someone else, or downplaying what a good match for you the opportunity was in the fist place. Have you ever gotten upset with your partner for some ridiculous, made-up reason? How about that brilliant project you didn't pursue out of fear? You had the vision and were passionate about it, but you let the doubting voices in your head talk you out of moving beyond your cozy comfort zone and making it happen.
Frequently, you don't see your own role in sabotaging these opportunities until much later, when time, distance, and a deeper understanding of yourself allows you to objectively assess the situation. Sometimes, however, the fear that caused you to sabotage the situation is still very active or has so much shame attached to it, that you continue to deny any responsibility for how things played out. Instead, your story of what happened focuses on how you were the victim of various circumstances, policies, or people. Of the three mistakes, this is the one that's most difficult, because even when you get through the fear and shame and take responsibility for your role, you still need to forgive yourself, learn the lesson, and move on.
Chances are, you're in the middle of one of these Skin Deep, Inner Beauty or Self-Sabotage mistakes right now and don't even realize it.
What can you do?
Here are 3 solutions to these mistakes that will help you to see the Skin Deeps and Inner Beauties for what they really are and avoid Self-Sabotaging yourself out of a great career, relationship, or other opportunity.
Solution #1: Get Clarity on What You Want to Be, Do, and Have.
If you know what you're looking for, it's easier to keep from being fooled by flashy or poor first impressions and evaluate opportunities based on the criteria that truly matters to you. My blog post Getting Clarity on What You Want by Creating Your Own Be, Do, Have Life List walks you through the list-making process in detail so you know what your personal criteria are.
Creating a Be, Do, Have Life List is a fun and energizing way to get clear on what you need to live the life you desire. I'm not talking about taking a few minutes and making a mental list of 10 things you want. I'm talking about pulling together an exhaustive, many pages list of what you want to be, do, and have in this lifetime. Do you want to be compassionate, skilled at sculpture, healthy into your 90's? Put it on your list. Do you want to take your family on a vacation to Hawaii, sleep soundly at night, get your PHD? Put it on your list. Do you want to have a six figure income, a well-behaved dog, time each day to spend with someone special? Put it on your list.
Prioritize the list into categories of "Must-Be/Do/Haves", "Nice-to-Be/Do/Haves", and "Bonus Items".
Remember to include the things you may already be, do, and have. Just because those items are part of your current experience doesn't mean they aren't important and valuable to you. Make sure to spread the list-making process out over a minimum of a few days (ideally, a week or more), as you will likely be coming up with more ideas after sleeping on it and living your daily routine.
Review your list to make sure you're recording the things YOU want to be, do, and have. It won't do you any good to make a list of all those things you think other people expect you to want or what they want for themselves. Make your list about what is going to make YOU happy. It may sound selfish, but realize the only way you can truly help others to be happy is to first be happy yourself.
If you have a specific area you're focusing on, like a relationship or career, you can do the process again, getting specific about what is important for you to be, do, and have in regards to that topic. Remember to include things already in your experience and prioritize everything into the "Must-Be/Do/Haves", "Nice-to-Be/Do/Haves", and "Bonus Items" categories.
Now, put your list to use!
If you have clear criteria to evaluate opportunities as you encounter them, you will be much more likely to choose the ones that are the best matches for you.
Once you do this process the first time, you will likely have quick mental access to much of the list for day to day decision-making. When you have larger life decisions to make, it's a good idea to bring out the written list of what you want to be, do, and have and compare it to the opportunity in front of you. You might be surprised at how things match up!
Finally, recognize that your list of wants and the prioritization of it will change as your perspective in life changes. Revisit your list at least once a year to update it, removing things that are no longer relevant for you, adding new things that would bring you joy, or changing items based on your deeper understanding of what truly makes you happy. The first time you do the Be-Do-Have process, it may take a dozen hours over the course of a week to complete. When you pull it out for updates, it may take an hour or two to review, add, delete, and modify. It can be fun to keep a copy of the old lists and see how things have changed over time. It's even more rewarding to look at your list and realize how much of it you've created in your life already!
Solution #2: Focus on Now
Staying present in the moment keeps you operating from your conscious mind, as opposed to your subconscious.
Cognitive neuroscientists report that you operate 95% of your life from subconscious programming. These automatic, subconscious programs trigger your emotions, your thoughts and your behaviors.
There is a growing body of research showing that mindfulness meditation can alter neural, behavioral and biochemical processes. Focusing on now is a way of practicing mindfulness and disrupts some of these automatic programs which also control what you notice, what you ignore, and how you react. Focusing attention on the past can lead to regret and carrying your baggage forward. Focusing attention to the future can lead to anxiety or worry. If you are consciously focused on now, you aren't busy running automatic programs about being regretful or worried. You are more able to react based on the current situation and how it compares to what you want to be, do, and have.
This is frequently demonstrated at the beginning of a new relationship. Imagine you're in the "honeymoon period". You are excited about your partner, learning new things about them, and being very focused in the present. You are very conscious of yourself and of your partner; you're both focusing your attention on the moment of now, because everything you think you want is right in front of you. As the weeks, months, and/or years pass, you're developing habits - emotional, thought, and behavioral. Your attention is wandering away from the present moment more and more often, and your automatic programs are running the show more and more often. Eventually, you realize you're feeling, thinking, and behaving the same way you did in your past relationships - and you're doing it automatically. From within the automatic programs, you can't tell if you're in relationship with a Skin Deep, an Inner Beauty, or even if you're Self Sabotaging!
Stay focused on now and you will have an easier time seeing the Skin Deeps and the Inner Beauties for what they truly are right from the start. You'll also greatly reduce your ability to Self Sabotage.
Solution #3: Choose Your Subconscious Beliefs
This third solution is the most powerful. It's the most powerful because instead of just disrupting the automatic programs, it changes them. Operating 95-99% of your life from automatic programs that create struggle, anxiety, and regret makes life seem extremely difficult. Operating 95-99% of your life from automatic programs that create what you want to be, do, and have is a vastly different experience. Suddenly, your default ways of feeling, thinking, and behaving are creating what you want and life seems much easier.
So, the automatic programs generate feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, but what creates the automatic programs?
Your beliefs create your automatic programs, and most of your beliefs are subconscious. It is your beliefs that determine your emotions, your thoughts, and your behavior.
It is the subconscious beliefs you hold which create the positive or negative meaning you assign to everything you experience. This is sometimes easiest to understand with an example. Let's say you've been assigned an extra project at work.
If your beliefs are that you're always busy taking care of things for other people and people frequently take you for granted, your experience reflects that. The automatic programs based on those beliefs start driving 95-99% of your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. You're feeling unhappy about the situation, thinking unflattering things about your boss in your head, behaving icily to your boss, and taking daily opportunities to complain to your coworkers. You're procrastinating on completing the project so much that you're rushing to get things done. Your project solution is predictable and mundane, and you're making mistakes because you can't stop thinking about how your boss is taking advantage of you. You're feeling tired, stuck and resentful. You're hating the process, doing poor work, and not getting promoted.
Or...
You might hold a subconscious belief that in order to deserve money or be promoted, you need to be producing good results and others need to see that you are working hard to earn your rewards. Again, when your boss gives you the extra project, your automatic programs kick in. This time, you start unconsciously behaving in such a way as to ensure you need to work late and come in over the weekend. The obstacles you're encountering each seem bigger than the last. You're making sure your coworkers and boss notice the immense difficulty of the project and the long, burdensome hours you're putting in. You're feeling exhausted, resigned and uninspired about the task, but you're sticking to it for the payoff at the end. You're doing good work and getting promoted, but your subconscious beliefs and automatic programs are making sure your journey to get there is a struggle.
Or...
Let's say you believe that being given an extra project is a sign that your boss wants to give you an opportunity to advance in the company. You also believe doing excellent work is quick, easy and fun for you. These beliefs generate automatic programs that are triggering you to feel, think, and behave in very different ways. You're feeling excited, thinking to yourself how well things are going at work, and smiling at your boss. As you're discussing your great project with coworkers, you're developing insight and making new connections. The new information is sparking more creativity and now you're designing an efficient, innovative project solution. The work is flowing so quickly and smoothly that you are going home on time each day. Your automatic programs this time have you delivering the project ahead of schedule, getting promoted, and enjoying yourself along the way.
Did one or more of these examples resonate with you? These examples are simplified, as there are many beliefs activated in every situation, so there could easily be elements of each that you identified in yourself. Some of the beliefs support you in creating results you want and other beliefs do not. Consider how much of an impact your unique set of beliefs, and the automatic programs they generate, have on your level of happiness and success on a day-to-day basis.
Even your body is running on automatic programs!
Your subconscious beliefs impact your physical health. When your beliefs trigger emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, there are corresponding chemicals generated in the body and sent through your bloodstream to impact your individual cells. Endorphins are feel-good chemicals, whether triggered by your thoughts, perhaps loving memories or reading an uplifting book, or generated from your behaviors, petting your dog or getting "runner's high". Dr. Bruce Lipton's book, The Biology of Belief, goes into excellent detail, explaining how your blood chemistry signals your cells, telling each cell what to do and which genes to express or inhibit. Epigenetics is the field of study investigating how we control our genes, rather than the old school of thought that our genes control us.
Your emotions show up in your body as chemical changes. Dr. Candace Pert’s book, The Molecules of Emotion, outlines how neuropeptides generated in your bodies create and can even get your cells “addicted” to certain emotions. Imagine the difference in health you might see in your body if your cells are consistently fed a diet of the neuropeptides associated with the emotions of frustration and powerlessness vs. your body when your cells are addicted to neuropeptides associated with joy and delight. What level of health are your beliefs generating in your body?
As you can see, it's immensely important to make sure your automatic programs are built using beliefs that support you in creating a life where you are able to be, do, and have what you desire.
How did you adopt your subconscious beliefs in the first place?
Most of your subconscious beliefs were formed in childhood. They were learned through your direct experience, your observing of others' behavior, and from what others told you. Think of yourself as a child, as a little experience-recorder, gathering up as much information as possible about how the world works and how to best survive and thrive in it. When you found something that worked for you (perhaps it resulted in a positive reward or helped you avoid a negative experience), you saved it as a belief. And as a belief, it built automatic programs. But not all of the beliefs you saved as a child apply the same to your adult life. And thus, not all of your childhood automatic programs are serving you as an adult.
How can you tell if your subconscious beliefs are serving you well as an adult?
You can instantly see the results of the automatic programming your beliefs created by simply looking around at your life. How closely does it resemble your list of what you want to be, do, and have? Are you healthy? Are you happy? Do you have great relationships? Do you have the amount of money you'd like? Are you excited to start each day? If not, then it's time for you to choose some new beliefs and rewrite your automatic programs.
There are probably areas in your life where things going well for you. Are you excited to make them even better? What would you need to believe in order to up your game?
What can you do to choose and change your subconscious beliefs? Belief Expansion!

The biggest reason for failed communications in today's world, whether social, corporate or romantic, are ASSUMPTIONS. Assumption is binding a perfectly normal statement with your own doubts and disbelief, and projecting it as the truth to yourself and to others. Let's shatter the blind glass cage of assumption that has encapsulated your thoughts and belief system for your entire life. Consequently, you end up loving yourself, loving others and you begin seeing nothing but good in self, society and life altogether. Breaking the habit of assuming and programming our minds toward embracing the "it is what it is" attitude is the best learning out of not only NLP, but out of life. . . #nlplifetraining #nlpinspired #nlpmasterpractitioner #stopjudging #saynotoassumptions #changinglives #beliefchange #limitingbelief #actioncoach #massiveaction #itstartsfromwithin #mentalfreedom #freedomofexpression #beingagoodperson #beingkind #bosslady #thinklikeaboss #bossquality #qualityoflife https://www.instagram.com/p/B7-yxYrhz61/?igshid=1iaz61cmi07fu
