SEPTEMBER 6, 2024 - Israeli activist Jonathan Pollak on the murder of 26-year-old Turkish-American peace activist and teacher Ayşenur Eygi, who was shot in the head by the Israeli Occupation Forces during a peaceful demonstration against illegal settlement activity:
"What happened today is no accident…It was quiet. There was nothing to justify the shot. The shot was taken to kill."
Full video transcript:
“What happened today is no accident. It is the continuation of the killing of 17 of Beita’s residents during demonstration since 2021. It is an intentional killing that is now receiving the light of day because she is an American citizen. It was an intentional killing that cannot be justified.  My name is Jonathan Pollak. I was there when she was shot. We got to Beita for the weekly demonstration against the settlement there. The army was already present where people pray in protest of the settlement. As soon as the prayer ended, clashes ensued, and the army shot tear gas and live ammunition immediately.  We were forced to retreat down towards the village and ended up standing at the outskirts of the built-up area of the village about 150-200 meters away from where the soldiers were. We stayed there for about half an hour. Soldiers at some point took over a rooftop that has a view over the entire area. including where we were.  It was quiet. There was nothing to justify the shot. The shot was taken to kill. There were two shots fired from the rooftop.  I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I know the difference in sound between tear gas, rubber coated bullets, live ammunition. These were two separate shots of live ammunition, one after the other. The first one hit the middle object and then a young man from a village in his thigh. And then I heard another shot, and then I heard people calling my name in English saying “we need help, we need help, come help us.” I ran over there, about 10 or 15 meters away behind me into the olive groves I found her lying on the ground beside the tree, bleeding from her head. I put my hand under her head to try to stop the bleeding. I took her pulse, she had a very weak pulse. We called the ambulance. From there we evacuated her to the village’s medical center, where the doctor came into the ambulance and continued into the hospital where they tried to resuscitate her but failed."

Hamas: Telegram
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas condemns in the strongest terms the crime committed by the zionist occupation army in targeting the American solidarity activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi with a direct bullet to the head, which led to her martyrdom, while she was participating in the weekly peaceful march against settlements on Jabal Sbeih in the town of Beita, south of Nablus. We consider this heinous crime an extension of the occupation's deliberate crimes against foreign solidarity activists with our Palestinian people, which have claimed the lives of dozens of them, perhaps the most prominent of whom is the solidarity activist Rachel Corrie, who was crushed under the tracks of the occupation's tanks in 2003. These crimes continue in the West Bank with systematic and continuous attacks on solidarity activists by the occupation army and its settler gangs, as happens in all peaceful solidarity events and marches in the villages and towns of the West Bank threatened by settlement and Judaization projects. The zionist extremist government and its terrorist army seek, through these crimes, to terrorize and suppress every voice calling for the freedom of our Palestinian people, or standing in solidarity with them in light of criminal settlement and Judaization projects, and an ongoing comprehensive genocide war waged against them, without the official world moving a finger to stop it. We call on the international community, the United Nations, and all its political, humanitarian, human rights, and judicial institutions, to act immediately to rein in the occupation government, and hold it accountable for its fascist behavior that denies all international laws. We also call on the US administration to review its biased policy and support for the crimes and massacres of the occupation against our Palestinian people, which today led to the killing of an American citizen by the bullets of its criminal army. Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas Friday: 03 Rabi` al-Awwal 1446 AH Corresponding to: 06 September 2024 AD

‘The Israeli soldiers were so happy after the sniper hit Aysenur’: An Eyewitness
September 14 2024 - Muneer Khdeer, a resident of Beita village in the occupied West Bank, witnessed the killing of activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi. He described what he saw:
“Every Friday for three years, we have been praying at a mosque in al-Masbah, opposite of Mount Sabih. After prayers, Israeli soldiers follow the young men who are heading home, which leads to scuffles. They fire tear gas and live rounds, and the young men throw stones at them,” Khdeer said.
“That day, the Israelis were firing live rounds towards the Palestinians and foreign volunteers. The two groups were about 300 metres [330 yards] apart, so the stones didn’t hit the soldiers. A sniper was among the soldiers because he placed a weapon on top of the wall. He fired two rounds, and one hit the Turkish woman, Aysenur. An ambulance took her away.
Tumblr media
“The Israeli soldiers were so happy after the sniper hit Aysenur because they thought they had hit a Palestinian.”
The Israeli Occupation has murdered 17 Palestinians for protesting the demolition of their village Beita el-Foka since 2020.
– Mohammed Hamayyel, 15 (March 11, 2020) – Islam Dwikat, 22 (April 9, 2020) – Karam Amin Dwikat, 17 (October 15, 2023) – Issa Sliman Barham, 40 (May 14, 2021) – Tareq Ommar Snobar, 27 (May 16, 2021) – Zakaria Maher Hamayyel, 25 (May 28, 2021) – Mohammed Said Hamayyel, 15 (June 11, 2021) – Ahmad Zahi Bani Shamsa, 15 (June 16, 2021) – Shadi Ommar Sharafa, 41 (July 27, 2021) – Imad Ali Dwikat, 38 (August 6, 2021) – Mohammed Ali Khbeissa, 27 (September 24, 2021) – Jamil Jamal Abu Ayyash, 32 (December 1, 2021) – Fawaz Ahmad Hamayyel, 47 (April 13, 2022) – Immad Jareh Bani Shamsa, 16 (October 9, 2023) – Mohammed Ibrahim Adili, 13 (November 23, 2023) – Maath Ashraf Bani Shamsa, 17 (February 9, 2024) – Ameed Ghaleb Said al-Jaroub, 34 (March 22, 2024, died of a bullet wound injury to the head sustained on August 21, 2023)
The murders of Palestinians in Beita by the illegal Israeli occupation is a deliberate attempt to terrorize Palestinians into fleeing and submitting to the illegal demolition of their village. Aysenur Eygi's vicious and targeted murder brings to light the many Palestinians murdered daily for simply peacefully protesting and protecting their village from destruction by the illegal Israeli occupation and apartheid state, as declared by the highest world courts.

[ 📹 A Palestinian's car burns in Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank, as a result of attacks by Israeli colonial settlers on Wednesday night, while another similar attack occured in Al-Mughayir, to the east of Ramallah.]
🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 🚙🔥 🚨
ZIONIST SETTLERS CONTINUE ATTACKS ON PALESTINIANS WHILE ISEAELI OCCUPATION FORCES BURN DOWN A HOUSE WITH TEAR GAS
Israeli colonial settlers continued with their nightly attacks on Palestinian towns and villages across the occupied West Bank of Palestine on Wednesday and into the night.
In one example, Israeli colonial settlers burned the vehicle of a Palestinian family in the Al-Lubban area on Wednesday night, south of Nablus, while another, similar attack by settlers occured in Al-Mughayir, east of Ramallah.
In another violation, Zionist extremist settlers seized the tents of Bedouin residents in the Arab Mlihat community, in the Al-Ma'rajat area, to the northwest of Jericho, while also grazing sheep on Bedouin lands at gunpoint.
According to the General Supervisor for the Al-Baidar organization, which works to protect the rights of the Bedouin community in the occupied Palestinian territories, by the name of Hassan Mlihat, told Palestinian news outlet, WAFA News, that Israeli colonial settlers, backed by personnel belonging to the so-called Israeli "Civil Administration," which raided the Arab Milhat community; gathering and confiscating equipment for three Bedouin tents owned by local Bedouin resident, Musa Suleiman Mlihat, who also told WAFA that he witnessed at least one colonist grazing sheep among the local homes while wielding a gun.
In another Zionist attack, armed Israeli colonial settlers raided an archeological site known as Tal Ma'in, located to the east of Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to local reports, several colonists from the illegal colonial settlement of the Avigal colony, located on stolen and occupied Palestinian lands to the east of Yatta, raided the archeological site of Tal Ma'in to perform Talmudic rituals as an act of provocation, all while under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.
In yet another Zionist assault, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched several tear gas canisters at Palestinian homes in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, resulting in the break out of a fire in one of the Palestinian homes.
According to local sources who spoke with a WAFA News reporter, several Israeli occupation military vehicles stormed the village of Beita in the evening, after which, Zionist soldiers began to fire bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters in the direction of Palestinian residences, one of which caused a fire to break out and burn part of a house.
The sources said local civil defense crews responded to a call about the fire, rushing to the scene where they managed to get the fire under control.

Israeli forces shoot US citizen in occupied West Bank
Bullet fired by an Israeli soldier ripped through the thigh of a US citizen protesting against Israeli settler encroachment
Israeli forces shot and injured an American citizen during a demonstration on Friday that was being held in Beita, a Palestinian village near the occupied West Bank town of Nablus, several Palestinian rights organisations have told Middle East Eye. Amado Sison* was hit by a bullet that shot through the back of his right thigh and left a large exit wound. The bullet, however, missed all of Sison's major arteries and his bones but he has soft tissue damage from the attack, according to Vivi Chen, an activist with Defend Palestine:Faz3a. Chen was also the victim of an attack by Israeli settlers last month. Sison was carried more than 500 metres as Israeli forces continued to attack the Palestinians gathered at the site of the demonstration. After being shot, activists say that Sison's ambulance was forced to stop at several Israeli checkpoints, leading to a delay in his medical treatment. Eventually, he underwent a successful surgery and was seen smiling in his hospital room.
[...]
Palestinians have been demonstrating against the settlement since it was first erected in 2013, and in recent weeks those protests have been reignited, with the goal of stopping the dispossession of Palestinian land. However, Israeli forces have used violent means against the protesters, including tear gas and live ammunition. A total of 17 people have been killed in Beita by Israeli forces or settlers since 2020. "Ten months into Israel's US-funded genocide under the guise of war Gaza, we stand in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and the popular resistance in Beita," the groups Defend Palestine:Faz3a, PAL-Shield, and the International Solidarity Movement said in a statement shared with MEE.

ISRAEL REALTIME - afternoon updates - Nov 1
of horrors, torture and murder from the invasion were shown to members of the Knesset.  Following the viewing multiple members were shown crying, breaking down, stunned, ill.  (This video is not publicly available.)
After the screening of the film, the MKs met with three senior psychologists knowledgeable in emergency psychological treatment, at the request of several MKs who are unable to recover from the images.
— MORE HEROES FALL… death toll of soldiers killed in the Gaza ground operation so far to 15.  Rumors of soldiers missing or captured are baseless as far as known.
— FINANCE MINISTER… Smotrich continues to REFUSE to release tax money to the Palestinian Authority.
— SECURITY MINISTER… Ben Gvir continues to REFUSE to approve work permits for 8,000 Shomron/Yehuda (West Bank) Palestinians to work in Israel - during the war.
In both cases the argument is “if you don’t there will be incidents in Shomron/Yehuda (West Bank).
Hanan Greenwood: For a year and a half, various sources have been warning that they will "burn Judea and Samaria”. The hilltop youth, they say, are setting Judea and Samaria on fire. Ben Gvir, they claim, will set Judah and Samaria on fire. And now Smotrich, it turns out, will set Judea and Samaria on fire.
In the last three weeks 132 Palestinians were killed in Shomron/Yehuda, the majority armed. For a year and a half we have been in a wave of brutal terrorism.  When will we realize that the Palestinians are already setting fire and trying to slaughter us while we are looking for the blame on us?
— BATTLE INFO GAZA… According to a Russian source, Israel is close to reaching the sea south of Gaza City.
— AND LEBANON… The IDF is now attacking Hezbollah targets in Beita al-Sha'ab, southern Lebanon..
— EU SAYS… We are horrified by the high death toll in the bombing in Jabaliya. Safety and protection of civilian lives is not only a moral obligation but also a legal obligation”.
— GAZA SAYS… Some of the wounded who had to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing to Egypt died of their wounds in the ambulance because the Egyptians made the crossing conditional on presentation of a passport.
— EVACUEE GRANT PROCESS… Following the publication in the "Main Edition": the Labor and Welfare Committee approved the mechanism of the grant to evacuees, the manner of its payment and its financing by the State Treasury, through Bituach Leumi. The amount in shekels per day - 200 for an adult and 100 for a child, retroactive.
— BEZEQ PAUSES… has now announced that following the decision to cancel the charges for the residents of the near Gaza towns and Sderot, it is canceling all charges for the coming month to its customers from all the northern settlements who were evacuated.
