Things I didn’t expect as a single woman…

I’m 46 and have been single basically my entire life. Despite being a romantic no men are romantically inclined towards me. I don’t love it but dwelling on it is not going to make it better.

As I get older I realize that women are just fine staying single was probably written by someone who was not.

I have a good job but others make more. As you get older you will probably end up living alone - which I actually quite love. It costs more to live alone, you pay all the bills alone. Which leads to things, like paying off student loans take longer. I will never be able to buy property. I will rent for the rest of my life. I will probably have to delay retirement. I have no person if I’m sick or need any form of help.

I’m fortunate to have family and friends. They will tell me I’m not alone. They mean well but it’s simply not true.

I am alone. I make it work. I don’t hate it. It wasn’t my plan but it is my life.

As more and more people live their lives alone I hope there is more support from the community and maybe in tax relief.

I am happy and I enjoy my life but being single, as I’m sure being coupled, has its drawbacks that should not be overlooked.

I do believe that Haylor was on/off. Because TS stayed "single" the longest between January 2013-February 2015 (two years). Which seemed a bit unusual considering she usually likes jumping from one relationship to the next.

It was 3 years and 4 months between Jake and Calvin. Harry was the only person she dated in that time. Calvin was 2 years 11 months after the Kids Choice Awards.

The way the only time she was ever single was either side of dating Harry "for 3 months". ...
