Finding your own unique art style as an artist is hard, so I’ve done some experimenting and I think I’ve finally founded my two!

If I was to describe my visual style, it would be very UPA and clean crayon “kid’s illustration” inspired. If I were to use texture, it would be a blend of real-life and digital illustration but I’m not sure what I would call it?

Collage? Texture? Collage or texture fused with digital art? What would you call this art style?

"Navigating Unpopular Path"

Pursuing a freelance makeup artist is not always easy, especially as a beginner. Unlike traditional jobs, makeup artistry requires self-promotion, skill development, and networking to gain recognition. Despite the challenges, my passion for beauty keeps me motivated as I navigate this path.

At the start, I focused on building my skills by practicing on myself and others, watching tutorials, and experimenting with different styles. Finding my niche was difficult, but I learned that staying true to my creativity and personal style is more important than following trends.

Showcasing my work online and collaborating with photographers and models helped me gain exposure. Although it was intimidating at first, I realized that sharing my progress and networking with others in the industry opened doors to new opportunities.

There have been setbacks, including self-doubt and slow growth, but I remain committed. I know that success takes time, and every challenge is a learning experience. By staying patient, continuously improving, and believing in my talent, I am determined to carve my own space in the beauty industry.

I went to a pride celebration in some fun rainbow makeup today and it was my first time wearing kind of extra makeup around other people. I got a lot of compliments and I really felt great because I've been working on my makeup skills for around three years now with the intention of eventually doing drag, but I wasn't sure if I was any good or if it was just Drag Delusion™
